OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl Fergison claims she isn’t allowed to appear on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The 56-year-old actress – who is best known for her portrayal of Heather Trott on ‘EastEnders’ – is desperate to take part in the tough jungle challenge contest but claimed producers won’t consider her for the show because she was a contestant on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ back in 2012.
She said: “The jungle was my main thing I wanted to do but unfortunately if you’ve done ‘Big Brother’, you cannot go into the jungle.”
And Cheryl is unlikely to convince producers to let her take part because she also shared her secret to avoid getting much screen time when she was holed up inside the famous Big Brother house.
Speaking on the ‘Hundamental Guide To Life’ podcast, she said: “If you sing a lot in the Big Brother house, they won’t show much of you because they can’t get the copyright for the songs.
“So I used to just sit and sing songs all the time so they couldn’t really put me on the telly.”
The ‘Hard Cell’ actress has been making money recently by offering lessons via Zoom for £60.
She recently said in a TikTok video: “You will have an hour with me where you can choose the subject/s that are of interest. It is important that these 1-2-1 sessions are tailor made just for you.”
In the video, the actress can be seen showing a print out of topics available and amongst the topics are singing lessons, tips on “how to build a character” as well as lessons in “how a soap is put together.”
The actress wrote “Let’s talk ‘EastEnders! How a soap is put together for your viewing and how I developed the character of Heather Trott. [I will answer] any questions you may have regarding my time at ‘EastEnders’ as well as any other roles on Stage/TV that I have portrayed / worked on.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Colson Smith “fell in love with running” during lockdown.
The 23-year-old actor – who is best known for having played the role of Craig Tinker on ‘Coronation Street’ since 2011 – managed to shed 10 stone during the COVID-19 lockdown and now claims that running is something he “couldn’t possibly live without.”
He said: “During lockdown I changed the way I look at life and changed the way I live my life, which changed my appearance. I lost weight and massively fell in love with running. Now it’s something I couldn’t possibly live without.”
The soap star – who also hosts the ‘Sofa Cinema Club’ with co-stars Ben Price and Jack P. Shepherd – went on to explain that while he “probably hated” every run in the early days of his health kick, it soon became a source of “pure enjoyment” and that weight-loss was simply a “side effect.”
He told The Metro newspaper’s SixtySeconds column: “When I first started, it was purely to lose weight and in the first two months I probably hated every run I went on. I did it because it was going to benefit me for the rest of my life. In my head, every run was going to make me less fat. Then what I learned was that running was the only time I had in the day for me. When I was running, I’d talk to myself and make a to-do list, and suddenly I realised I wasn’t running to lose weight anymore, I was running out of pure enjoyment. From then on, losing weight and changing my shape was a side effect – it became less relevant.”
Meanwhile, Colson is set to take part in live fitness show ‘The Games’ on Monday (09.04.22) and claimed that the chance to battle it out with other celebrities in front of Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff was an opportunity that was almost “too good to be true” following his weight loss journey.
He said: “It’s always weird when you get asked to do a show as yourself because I’m so used to hiding behind my character Craig in ‘Coronation Street’ I’ve wanted to show more of my personality but it’s been a case of waiting for the right opportunity. With everything I’ve been thorough, when ‘The Games’ came up it seemed too good to be true. It’s a different job to what I’ve been doing for the last 10 years. I get to show everybody Colson and it’s related to fitness.”
‘The Games’ – which also features the likes of Craig’s former co-star Ryan Thomas and ex-Strictly pro Kevin Clifton in its lineup – airs live on ITV on Monday 9th May at 9pm.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Joanna Lumley wanted to be Prime Minister .
The 76-year-old actress – who is known for starring as Patsy Stone on classic sitcom ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ – was asked what her childhood dream was and noted a whole host of high-ranking professions before realising she could accomplish them all by becoming a performer.
She is quoted by The Daily Star newspaper as saying: “I wanted to be Prime Minister [when I was a child]. Or a brain surgeon, or a famous explorer. Or a pirate! But then I discovered that as an actress it would be rather easy to be all those things. [I could be] a queen, wicked aunt, Tiger Lily, or a singing cow or a ghost and a rag doll as well!”
Joanna began her career as a model in the 1960s before landing roles in ‘Coronation Street’ and ‘The Avengers’ in the 1970s and these days is known for hosting several travel documentaries but recently admitted that a return to her outrageous ‘Ab Fab’ role as boozy fashion editor Patsy Stone alongside creator Jennifer Saunders as hapless PR guru Edina Monsoon would be “impossible” because the “world has changed. ”
She said: “It’s entirely up to Jennifer and she’s said she doesn’t want to do anymore. Things have their time. It would be impossible to make that series now, if you think of Edina’s ghastly take on the world, her appalling snobbery and racism, their drug-taking, heavy drinking and Patsy’s chain-smoking and the fact they have the morals of alley cats. It was funny because we used to laugh at those things. Now people are very strict and they go, ‘This is setting a bad example’ couldn’t get away with it now – the world has changed.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ncuti Gatwa wants to be “himself” as Doctor Who.
The 29-year-old actor has bagged the role of the 14th Time Lord on the BBC sci-fi series ‘Doctor Who’ and will replace Jodie Whittaker when she bows out later this year, but has insisted that each of his predecessors has been “incredible” and is unsure how he will follow in their footsteps.
Asked what he would bring to the role, he said: “Just myself, I think actors are incredible people that put so much of themselves into roles and so each one is going to be really different. Each Doctor that’s gone before has been so incredibly talented and so incredibly brilliant, I don’t know how I’m going to follow in their footsteps but I’m going to try my best.”
The ‘Sex Education’ star – who in his new role also follows on from the likes of Matt Smith, David Tennant and Peter Capaldi in the iconic role – added that he is just taking the news in his “stride” but admitted that he is a little “scared” about taking on the mammoth TV role.
He told Metro.co.uk: “I’m just trying to take it all in my stride, I woke up very, very anxious but then I calmed down by lunch. There aren’t quite the words to describe how I’m feeling. A mix of deeply honoured, beyond excited and of course a little bit scared. ”
Ncuti went on to assure fans that because the role “means so much” to viewers around the world, he will do his best to handle it with the “utmost care” and also paid tribute to showrunner Russell T. Davies, who is returning to the show after more than a decade away.
Ncuti said: “This role and show means so much to so many around the world, including myself, and each one of my incredibly talented predecessors has handled that unique responsibility and privilege with the utmost care. I will endeavour my upmost to do the same.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dan Walker thinks it is “crazy” that deaf actress Rose-Ayling Ellis won ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 45-year-old TV host came fifth in the last year’s edition of BBC favourite with professional Nadiya Bychkova whilst the ‘EastEnders’ actress – who was honoured with the ‘Must See Moment’ BAFTA along with professional partner Giovanni Pernice for their routine in week eight at the annual awards ceremony on Sunday (08.05.22) – went on to win the whole show and Dan spoke of how “amazing” it was that someone who cannot hear music managed to win a dancing competition.
Speaking on ‘BBC’ Breakfast’, he said: “It’s always a good turnout at the BAFTAs. I think there were some worthy winners there. And Rose and Giovanni… I was about four metres away. It was amazing. It was one of those special things which I think really resonated with so many people who watched as well, and obviously they went on to win, too.
“It was that opportunity for Rose to open the door and invite not only Giovanni, but the rest of us, into her world. It’s still crazy to think that somebody who can’t hear the music won a dancing competition. Amazing. OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Ryder is not focused on winning Eurovision.
The 32-year-old TikTok star – who boasts 12 million followers on the video sharing app – will perform his self-penned song for the UK at the grand final of the ‘Eurovision Song Contest’ in Italy on Saturday (14.05.22) ) but insisted that his “personal goal” is just to sing as he always does.
Sam said: “My personal goal for this is to sing with the same intention that I always sing with, and then come away with the joy it has given me. To make it strategic and to make it so that the happiness it gives me is dependent on where I come on a score board is something I really don’t want to mess with.”
The ‘Tiny Riot’ hitmaker went on to explain that he is simply reminding himself that he will be sharing the stage with some “amazing performers” as he maintains a “positive energy” for the competition.
He told the i newspaper: “I’ve been invited to share the stage with amazing performers from all over the Europe, celebrating music and song writing. They are the facts that I can hold onto and put my positive energy and focus into.”
Back in 2021, the UK ended up at the bottom of the leader board after James Newman’s entry ‘Embers’ scored zero points . whilst Michael Rice’s 2019 entry ‘Bigger Than Us’ also saw the UK finish last but Sam previously insisted that the “stigma” of losing will not stop his enjoyment of taking part.
He said: “I love Eurovision. I think it’s such a privilege to be able to do. I don’t want to let the stigma or fear of coming at a certain place in a table stop me from doing something and being a part of something that I enjoy so much.”
The grand final of ‘The Eurovision Song Contest’ will air on Saturday 14th May on BBC One at 8pm, with Graham Norton as host.

OHMYGOSSIP — David van Day is wanted for ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me out of Here: All Stars.’
The 65-year-old singer-turned-politician reached the semi-final of the jungle-based reality show back in 2008 alongside ‘Star Trek’ actor George Takei, tennis champ Martina Navratilova as well a eventual winner Joe Swash and now ITV bosses are reportedly keen to sign him up for the all-stars spin-off after he lost his Tory seat at the local elections in Aveley and Essex last week.
A source told The Daily Star newspaper: “You could say David is set to swap his Tory seat for a jungle throne! Many fans have complained that recent editions of the show have lacked the spats and conflict of yesterday have been too nice.”
During his time on the show, former Dollar star David was famously at loggerheads with fellow camper and former model model Nicola McLean as they argued constantly in front of the cameras and the source went on to explain that David could shake things up in the camp.
The source added: David could certainly turn the camp on its head again!”
‘I’m A Celebrity: All Stars’ is set to air on ITV later this year from South Africa and memorable contestants such as ‘Loose Women’ star Stacey Solomon – who was crowned Queen of the Jungle back in 2010 – and ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’ alum Caitlyn Jenner, who reached sixth place back in 2019, are also reportedly wanted for a comeback.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant and Dec are to host The Prince’s Trust Awards 2022 on ITV.
The Geordie duo – which comprises Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, both 46, – will front the annual awards ceremony honouring the success of young people helped by the charity for the 10th time but it will be broadcast for the very first time on ITV later this month in the presence of founder and president HRH The Prince of Wales.
In a statement, Ant said: “It’s an absolute privilege to be involved in The Prince’s Trust Awards again this year and to be hosting it for the 10th time. It is always so inspirational to hear from these young people who through pure determination and against all odds have come out fighting and achieved so much.”
The Prince’s Trust was set up by Prince Charles back in 1976 and aims to help those from disadvantaged backgrounds to get their lives back on track, by giving them the skills to learn, live and earn a living and has helped more than one million people under the age of 30 in the last 46 years.
Meanwhile, Dec – who has enjoyed decades of TV stardom alongside Ant having hosted the likes of ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here’ and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ with him -explained that it is an “honour” to play a part in celebrating such a “life changing” charity.”
He said: “We’re honoured to play a part in the amazing work of The Prince’s Trust. The young people celebrated at The Prince’s Trust Awards have shown real strength, commitment and dedication and are proof that the support offered by The Trust really is life changing.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Tarrant is still haunted by his famous catchphrases from ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire?’
The 75-year-old star hosted the ITV quiz show from 1998 to 2014 but admitted that he is unable to walk down “any street” in the country without hearing one of the phrases from the game shouted at him.
He said: “It’s just over 20 years since I could walk down any street in Britain without somebody shouting: ‘Hello CT! Do you want to phone a friend?’ Bearing in mind I haven’t even done the show for years, it still happens every single day!”
However, the former ‘Tiswas’ host went on to explain that despite hearing the same joke for over two decades, it has “never been a problem” and he takes it as a compliment.
Writing in his new autobiography, ‘It’s Not a Proper Job’, he added: “It’s never been a problem. People are just saying they like the show. Phrases like: “Do you want to phone a friend?’, ‘We don’t want to give you that’, ‘Ask the audience’ and ‘Go 50-50’ have become a part of world parlance.”
Chris was the face of the hit game show when it and is thought to have handed out more than £60 million in ITV prize money during his time on the show and guided five contestants to winning the top prize of £1million, including Judith Keppel and Pat Gibson, who both went on to become regulars on BBC Two show ‘Eggheads.’
He continued hosting until he stepped down in 2014 with ITV taking the show off the air until 20th anniversary celebrations and former ‘Top Gear’ host Jeremy Clarkson was brought in to present a revival series.
