OHMYGOSSIP — Jordan Banjo put on three-and-a-half stone “eating out of boredom” during the first coronavirus lockdown.
The 29-year-old TV presenter and Diversity dancer – who is to make his debut co-hosting ‘Eat Well For Less?’ later this week – admitted he was chowing down on crisps “here and there” and he couldn’t help but finish off his kids Cassius and Mayowa’s snacks, leading to him putting on some timber.
He said: “In the first lockdown, I put on three and a half stone. I put on like a serious amount of weight. I wasn’t dancing as much, I wasn’t anywhere near as active. I think I took the term ‘dad bod’ a bit too seriously.
“I was like with the kids, ‘Oh you’re not eating that, I’ll finish that.’ I was eating out of boredom as well.
“In that first lockdown, stuck at home, I was like, ‘Oh this is a bit different.’ I’ve never really just had to sit at home since I started working.
“I’d be polishing off crisps here and there, just eating out of boredom.”
But Jordan has been able to shed the three-and-a-half-stone weight increase by returning to dancing with Diversity – whose members include his brother Ashley Banjo – after the COVID lockdowns.
He added to MyLondon: “I’m very fortunate that it’s part of my job to stay healthy. Very fortunate that I had that time there to do that [lose three-and-a-half stone] and have a great support network with my brother and the boys.
“We all egg each other on and help each other in terms of getting in the right shape that we need to be for tour.”
Jordan is joining forces with Chris Bavin on BBC show ‘Eat Well For Less?’ – which aims to help families across the UK save money, sort food facts from food fiction, and eat well for less – after taking over from Gregg Wallace.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Black Mirror’ is set to return for a sixth series.
The dystopian TV series, which was created by Charlie Brooker in 2011 and depicts the potential horrors of technology in the future, is expected to head back to Netflix after a three-year hiatus, according to Variety.
While details of production are being kept under wraps, season six is expected to have more episodes than season five, which only featured three and starred Andrew Scott, Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Topher Grace and Miley Cyrus.
A source close to the production has revealed each episode will be treated as an individual film.
Charlie previously admitted he has keen to revisit his “comic skill set”.
Speaking in 2020, he said: “At the moment, I don’t know what stomach there would be for stories about societies falling apart, so I’m not working away on one of those. I’m sort of keen to revisit my comic skill set, so I’ve been writing scripts aimed at making myself laugh.

Season six of ‘Black Mirror’ will be the first since Charlie and his creative partner Annabel Jones left production company House of Tomorrow in January 2020.
Fans feared that after they departed it may mark the end of the show, as the rights remained with parent company Endemol Shine Group and were later acquired by Banijay Group in summer 2020.
But a deal was eventually reached with Banijay Rights – the distribution arm of the company – who have licensed the show on Netflix.

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins has reportedly signed a big-money deal with Walkers Crisps.
The 41-year-old reality star is set to front a new campaign for the popular snack brand after Gary Lineker – who became the face of the company from 1995 – took on more of a supporting role.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “Gemma is so sought after by companies because she’s both glamorous and down to earth, and people really seem to connect with her.
“That’s a perfect combination for big brands who need to appeal to a mass market — just like Gary used to for more than two decades.”
It’s said the former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star – who has previously fronted campaigns for the likes of Burger King, Durex, Boohoo and Wizz Air – is a big lover of “grab bags”, and she’ll be throwing herself into the adverts, which will see her following in the footsteps of the likes of Paddy McGuinness and Emily Atack.
The insider added: “The adverts are guaranteed to be some hilarious take on The GC’s big personality – and she’s a self-confessed fan of grab bags.”
Gemma – who reconciled with her ex-fiance, Rami Hawash, last year following her split from on/off partner James ‘Arg’ Argent – has denied rumours he proposed again, and insisted she’s in no rush to get hitched.
Speaking to OK!, she said of the engagement speculation: “What a load of c***! Basically, he did buy me an engagement ring years ago and it is beautiful. And every now and then I dust it off and wear it, but we’re not officially engaged.

OHMYGOSSIP — Christopher Biggins has ruled himself out of the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ all stars series.
The 73-year-old actor won the seventh season of the jungle-based reality show back in 2007 but he insisted he won’t be signing up for the 2023 special – which will feature some of the most popular faces from previous years – because he doesn’t want to risk losing his crown.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I’m very wary of it because I don’t want to lose my title as King of the Jungle.”
While Biggins doesn’t want to be on the show, it was recently claimed Paul Burrell – who came second in 2004 – will be taking part.
A source said: “His bizarre facial expressions during the Bushtucker Challenge have gone down in the jungle’s history books.
“Only Dean Gaffney could compete with those kinds of hysterics — and that really is saying something.
“So if ITV does strike a deal with Paul then he’s almost guaranteed to be doing the challenge again. Unless, of course, he bans it by inserting a unique clause in his contract.”
Other stars said to be returning for the all star series include former ‘Coronation Street’ actress Helen Flanagan and Gillian McKeith, who famously fainted on camera when faced with the show’s grizzly challenges.
And that’s not all as bosses are also hoping to put Gino D’Acampo, Shaun Ryder and Vicky Pattison back int he jungle.
The main show is returning to Australia later this year after spending two years being filmed in Wales due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The spin-off is believed to be slated to air in early 2023 while another edition of the main show will follow later that year.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Hollyoaks’ Gary Lucy was reduced to a “blubbering wreck” after filming his final scene following his 23 years on the soap.
The 40-year-old actor’s alter ego Luke Morgan is set to pass away in emotional scenes after battling frontotemporal dementia and he admitted the plotline struck a chord because his grandmother had the condition for over a decade.
He told The Sun newspaper: “It was a story that I really wanted to tell and there was only one way it could end – with Luke’s tragic death.
“Young person dementia has never been shown on British TV before and sadly like so many others dementia is an illness that has touched my family.
“My Nan was diagnosed with dementia back when I was doing ‘Dancing on Ice’ in 2010 and it’s absolutely horrendous. It really is such an awful disease.”
Although Gary knew the storyline would end with his exit, it has still been “really hard” to say goodbye to his castmamtes and he “completely lost it” when he finished filming for good.
He added: “I always knew it was going to mean that Luke would die, but it’s been hard saying goodbye, really hard.
“Every time I was doing a scene with someone we’d realise that it would be our last one together and I was in absolute bits.
“They’re getting upset, I’m trying not to get upset, but you can’t help it because the memories are just massive.
“We’ve all grown up together so to finish each scene with these people and re-live the memories, well it’s been very emotional.
“And then after I filmed my final ever scene everyone came down with flowers and I just completely lost it.
“I was trying to get my words out to thank everyone for all the support they’d given me over the years but it was hard because I was proper blubbering. I was a blubbering wreck.”
The actor – who returned to the show in 2017 after a 15-year break admitted he drew on his nan’s own struggle and his family’s response for his portrayal of Luke in recent years.
He added: “We had to say goodbye to my Nan three times during lockdown.
“They’d call us and say she’s not eating and you have to come. One time was through a window which was absolutely horrendous, but then she pulled through.
“It’s a complete rollercoaster for the family.
“I drew on a lot from my Nan sadly I was able to from the experience, the vacant looks, you could be having a conversation and realise half-way through that they are not there, the eyes are glazed over. I did draw upon on that and my mum was a massive help too.”

OHMYGOSSIP — David Tennant and Catherine Tate are to return to ‘Doctor Who’ for the show’s 60th anniversary.
The stars will reprise their roles as the Tenth Doctor and companion Donna Noble for the show’s milestone anniversary in 2023.
Russell T Davies, who is returning as showrunner on the long-running BBC sci-fi programme, announced the news on social media, writing: “THEY’RE BACK! The Doctor and Donna! But… how?! He wiped her memory! If she remembers, she’ll die!
“But, but… is it a flashback? A dream sequence? A lie? A fantasy? A parallel universe?! Alt Doctor? The Land of Fiction?! You’ll find out in 2023 as Doctor Who hits its 60th – diamond! – anniversary! @bbcdoctorwho.”
The news follows the announcement that ‘Sex Education’ star Ncuti Gatwa has been cast as the Fourteenth Doctor and Russell has now teased a “spectacular” return for David and Catherine.
In an official statement on the ‘Doctor Who’ website, Russell said: “They’re back! And it looks impossible – first, we announce a new Doctor, and then an old Doctor, along with the wonderful Donna, what on earth is happening?
“Maybe this is a missing story. Or a parallel world. Or a dream, or a trick, or a flashback.
“The only thing I can confirm is that it’s going to be spectacular, as two of our greatest stars reunite for the battle of a lifetime.”
Meanwhile, Ncuti revealed he was “deeply honoured” to be chosen as Jodie Whittaker’s replacement as the Doctor after being confirmed for the role.
He said: “There aren’t quite the words to describe how I’m feeling.
“A mix of deeply honoured, beyond excited and of course a little bit scared.
“This role and show means so much to so many around the world, including myself, and each one of my incredibly talented predecessors has handled that unique responsibility and privilege with the utmost care.

I’m sure there’s emotion involved and it’s upsetting for people, but I just think there needs to be some kind of moving on – like, don’t be at war with everyone. It’ll happen in its own time.
“You just need to find that healthy balance. We’ve found it and I thank God we have because we all live in peace. And we all just want Tristan to be happy and in a very settled and secure environment.”

ITV bosses are said to be planning to bring back former stars of the show to compete in a new version which will be filmed in South Africa.
Princess Diana’s former butler previously competed in ‘I’m A Celebrity’ back in 2004, and now The Sun reports he could be heading back to the jungle for a second turn.

OHMYGOSSIP — Shaughna Phillips is “scared” to move into her new house.
The 28-year-old TV star – who shot to fame on ITV2 reality dating show ‘Love Island’ back in 2020 – has managed to buy her first property but admitted that the whole venture feels “very grown up.”
She said: “Oh, my God. [Buying a house is] very, very strange. Very strange. I said to my mum the other day because she’s like, ‘You don’t seem to be excited’. And it’s not that I’m not excited at all. It’s very, very scary. Very, very grown up!”
However, the reality star – who used to work a a democratic services officer in London before finding fame on television and working with brands on Instagram – added that she used to work “a million times harder” but would never have been able to afford a house back then and sometimes feels “undeserving” of the chance now.
She told OK! Magazine: “But I also I sometimes feel a little bit… without sounding like patronising… I feel like I’ve not worked for it because I used to work a million times harder and what I used to do was so much harder than what I do now. I would never have been in a position that I’m in now. So I’m grateful. And it’s amazing. But yeah, sometimes I feel a bit undeserving, I never thought that would be a thing.”
Shaughna recently revealed that she has a new man in her life, but is determined to keep him out of the spotlight and while the move-in date is set for the beginning of June, she “hasn’t decided” whether her new love will be moving in with her.
She added: “[Moving in] looking at the minute like the early first week of June, which is so super, very scary. Sometimes I drive past it, and I’m like ‘I own those bricks’. I might let him come in every now and then, I haven’t decided yet!”
