OHMYGOSSIP — Kaila Troy was warned not to do OnlyFans.
The 29-year-old star shot to fame during her brief stint on reality dating show ‘Love Island’ back in 2021 and has since gone on to set up a profile on adults-only subscription service OnlyFans but was initially told not to do it in case she “ruined [her] career.”
She said: “In the beginning, people were like no, you need to get rid of it because it’s going to ruin your career.”
However, Kaila – who also works as a DJ in LA – claimed that those who told her not to sell her racy pictures in the first place are now trying to use her platform for their own benefit.
She told The Daily Star: “It’s funny because the people that said that then turn around and say I have an artist, can you book this artist for me? I’m like, okay now I see what’s going on. I was at a venue a few months ago back in Chicago and one of Kanye’s manager’s would say to people ‘I need to introduce you to this girl because she’s spun OnlyFans, she’s made it her own and she’s made it happen in the music industry’.”
The blonde beauty added that people now “recognise” what she has been able to do with the platform within her day job and some have even admitted they were wrong to have doubted her.
She added: “So people recognise what I’ve done with the platform and they see what I’ve done with the music industry and someone once said to me, ‘I remember in the beginning you told me about it that I didn’t listen, but you were right about.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenny Powell underwent iron transfusions in hospital after severe menopause symptoms left her struggling to get out of bed every day.
The 54-year-old presenter has opened up about her experience with perimenopause – the time before a woman’s periods stop – and admitted she was left feeling tired, depressed and suffering from anaemia because she was losing so much blood.
She told Closer magazine: “The menopause affected me mentally and I didn’t feel like me. Mu serious were awful, I’d have to change about five times a day and I lost that much blood that I became anaemic. I was really tired and depressed.
“I’d struggle to get out of bed and I couldn’t wait to go back to bed at night.”
Jenny admits she didn’t address her symptoms straight away and her condition became worse because she’d left it so long.
It meant she ended up needing treatment in hospital, adding: “I left it too long to get it sorted, so in the end I had to have iron infusions in hospital.”
Fellow TV star Davina McCall has been shining a light on menopause recently, releasing two Channel 4 documentaries lifting the lid on what has previously been considered a taboo subject.
Jenny has applauded Davina for working so hard to raise awareness and hopes women will get the help they need.
She added: “The likes of Davina McCall … have done a brilliant job of bringing it (menopause) out into the open.
“I’m so pleased we can share our experiences and it’s encouraged me to talk about it on social media.”
Jenny also recalled a childhood tragedy when a neighbour committed suicide when she was struggling to cope with menopausal symptoms.
She concluded: “I remember when I was a kid out next-door neighbour threw herself under a train because of menopause. It must have been a very lonely place for previous generations”

OHMYGOSSIP — Judi Love still struggles to cope with the death of her parents and feels devastated they are not around to see her achieve her dreams.
The ‘Loose Women’ star’s TV career has taken off in recent years, landing a regular slot on the ITV panel show in 2020 and taking part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2021 – but her big regret is that neither her mum or dad are able to celebrate her success with her.
She told Closer magazine she broke down in tears while watching a segment on ‘Good Morning Britain’ recently as it reminded her of what she’s lost: “It was a big cry, it was just from feeling emotional and happy about where I am.
“I was watching this poet called Hussain Manager … and he was talking about having a dream all your life, and your parents supporting you and then when you get there, they’re no longer here to reap the benefits. Oh man, that’s something I think about.”
Judi’s mum died in 2009 after a battle with dementia and she lost her father in 2021 after spending a year caring from him while he was ill.
The comedian admitted it hurts not being able to talk to them about her life.
She added: “I wish I could say, ‘Hey mum, come and look at what I’ve done.’ I lose my dad last year, too and it’s those people you wish you could share it all with, especially as they’re the ones who sacrificed so much for me.”
She concluded by saying: “Those are the things that make me the most emotional. And sometimes you just need to let it out – have a cry and carry on.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Emmerdale’ actor Andy Devine has died at the age of 79.
The star was best known for playing Shadrach Dingle in the ITV soap between 2000 and 2010 and he passed away in January – although the sad news has only just been revealed.
Public records reveal that Andy died on January 27 but the cause of death has not yet been confirmed.
The actor – who was born as Peter Devine – served in the Royal Navy during the 1960s before turning his hand to acting.
Devine’s other roles included featuring in several episodes of ‘Doctor Who’, the Channel 4 series ‘Queer as Folk’ and a small part in ‘Coronation Street’ in 1995.
Devine’s alter ego was a popular character during a decade on the Dales before dying in an emotional alcohol abuse storyline in 2010.
Tributes began flooding in for the actor as fans took to Twitter to pay their respects to the Devine.
One wrote: “Sad to read the news Andy Devine has died. Back in January it seems.
“Best known as #Emmerdale’s Shadrach Dingle, he played Betty’s wedding photographer in a 1995 episode of Coronation Street, returning in 2000 as a radio DJ.”
Another wrote: “Just heard the sad news that Andy Devine who played Shadrach Dingle in #Emmerdale and Bernard in Queer as Folk passed away in January. Brilliant comic characters that he played so well.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tasha Ghouri says her friends think she is “inspirational” for being the first deaf ‘Love Island’ contestant.
The ASOS model is “really open about” her disability and says her her loved-ones commend her for her honesty.
The 23 year-model said: “I think they’d also say I’m inspirational because of my hearing and my cochlear implant. I inspire quite a lot of people because I’m really open about it.”
She also said:” [My friends and family] would definitely describe me as wild
“I’m definitely a party animal. I love my prosecco and to have a dance – I’m always on the dance floor…”
Tasha is heading into the villa because her attempts at dating has been “a shambles”.
She said: “My dating life has been a shambles.
“This is an opportunity for me to find ‘the one’ and have a great summer at the same time. I’m definitely ready for a relationship.”
Tasha quipped that she has no issue with “stepping on toes” to “find her man”.
People have commended the casting choice as “something really positive” for young people watching at home.
An insider told the Sun newspaper: “Everyone is really excited about having Natasha on the show.
“It’s something really positive for youngsters to see. She looks amazing in a bikini, has a great bubbly personality and just happens to be deaf.
“She wears a cochlear implant which helps with her hearing loss.”
Tasha will be joined in the villa by 10 other sexy singletons looking for love, such as Ikenna Ekwonna, who helped develop the COVID-19.
The 23-year-old pharmacist said: “I’ve only been in one past relationship but now I think I’m at the age where I could find someone.”
Ikenna added: “Hopefully, I’m going to bring spontaneity and excitement. I’m not really shy to speak to people and I don’t really care too much about what people think.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Owen’s daughter Gemma is heading into the ‘Love Island’ villa.
The 19-year-old dressage rider – the oldest child of the former Liverpool FC and Newcastle United striker and his wife, childhood sweetheart Louise Bonsall – gushed about how “sport has always been a big thing” for and her family as she was named as one of the contestants on the ITV2 reality dating competition along with Tasha Ghouri, Amber Beckford and Ikenna Ekwonna.
Gemma said: “Sport has always been a big thing for me and my family. My dad was a professional football player. I’ve competed for Great Britain in dressage since I was 11 years old. I’ve travelled all across Europe competing in big arenas in big competitions.
“I would say I’m very competitive.”
Gemma says she “always go” for what her heart desires but doesn’t want to prevent “a genuine connection” between any love birds.
She said: “I will always go for what I want. But at the same time, I’m not going to mess up something for someone who is in a proper relationship or get in the way of a couple if they have a genuine connection.”
Gemma – who is big sister to James, 16, Emily, 14, and Jessica, 12 – is heading into the villa completely “open for love” but also is up for just having a “fun” time over the summer.
She said: “I am open to finding love, I’m wanting to have a really fun summer. I was seeing someone and then that didn’t work out so I thought, ‘Why not?’”
Gemma labelled herself as “fun, flirty and fiery,” but also a good person to turn to for an honest dish of advice.

OHMYGOSSIP — Lenny Henry has applauded ‘Doctor Who’ boss Russell T Davies for casting Ncuti Gatwa in the lead role.
‘Sex Education’ star Ncuti is taking over the coveted part from Jodie Whittaker and his casting marks the first time a Black actor has been hired to play the doctor.
Now Lenny has praised screenwriter and producer Russell over the move, telling Radio Times: “A lot of black fans have been looking at our watches for a while! More power to Russell T Davies.”
Although the actor is thrilled with the casting, he is adamant the British TV industry still has a way to go to improve diversity.
He’s is currently starring in a BBC series based on Kit de Waal’s book ‘My Name Is Leon’ which tells the story of a young Black boy who finds himself in social care in the 1980s, and says progress is being made slowly.
Lenny added: “With people like Kit, Steve McQueen, Malorie Blackman and our team on this (‘My Name Is Leon’) – writer Shola Amoo and director Lynette Linton – we’re securing a future for British drama.
“I grew up in a working-class neighbourhood in the Black Country – I want to see those stories. ‘The Crown’ is great, but can we see ourselves on TV too?”
Lenny previously voiced his frustration over the white actors chosen to play the lead role in ‘Doctor Who’ after he was offered a small role in the show.
Speaking back in 2019, he told Colourful Radio that BBC bosses needed to do more, saying: “Why have we never had a black Doctor Who? They would rather have a dog do Doctor Who than a black person. There’s no black people in Doctor Who.
“When Russell T Davis was doing Doctor Who there was so many black people in the show I rang up and said there are too many black people in the show – put in some white people, it’s getting embarrassing.”
Ncuti, 29, will make his ‘Doctor Who’ debut in 2023 following in the footsteps of actors including Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant in playing the time-traveller.

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Owen has warned potential suitors it will take “a while” for her “guard to come down”.
The 19-year-old star – the daughter of former England striker father Michael Owen – admits she is “fiery” and “quite protective”, but she doesn’t “fall in love quickly”.
Asked how her family and friends would describe her, she said: “I think they would say I’m very honest and a bit stubborn, straight up and a bit fiery. I can be quite protective.
“When you get to know me, I’m quite fun but it just takes a while for that guard to come down.
“They would say that I can take the mick out of myself quite easily!”
The international dressage rider and business owner has also vowed to be “very competitive” on ‘Love Island’, but insists when it comes to relationships she is not planning to “mess up something for someone” on the ITV2 dating show if they are in a “proper” romance.

OHMYGOSSIP — Joanna Lumley is to star in ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’.
The 76-year-old actress will join her pal Gyles Brandreth in the next series of the Channel 4 show, which returns next month, after his friend Dame Maureen Lipman quit the programme.
‘Absolutely Fabulous’ star Joanna is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: “It is a huge honour and crosses something off my long bucket list.”
Gyles said: “The last time we watched the box together she fell asleep. I’m hoping that doesn’t happen for ‘Gogglebox’.”
Before he was partnered alongside Maureen on the show, Gyles sat alongside Dame Sheila Hancock in 2019.
Both of his companions were made dames after appearing on ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’, and former politician Gyles has his theory as to why.
He said: “My wife thinks that’s because the queen must watch ‘Gogglebox’ and felt Sheila and Maureen deserved a reward for sitting on the sofa next to me.”
In March, Maureen ruled out a return to ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’.
She said at the time: “I went in imagining that they wanted me for my wit and my brain. Of course, they just want to show you willies and for you to be shocked.
“Honestly, we were really funny together, but none of that was used. And if they don’t want to use what we gave them, f*** them.
“It is from my point of view. I’m sure they’ll put someone else with Gyles.”
Gyles previously backed Maureen’s decision to depart the show, and agreed the show’s producers did not appreciate her sense of humour.
He said: “Some of the things that Maureen has said are Oscar-winning funny. But what do they use? Us yawning!”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island: Aftersun’ will have a bigger studio audience this year and host Laura Whitmore believes that will “really help” the Islanders when they leave the show.
The 37-year-old TV presenter interviews axed Islanders and their families on the ITV2 show and following the lifting of COVID restrictions, there will be a larger audience this year and Laura thinks that will give them a boost.
When asked what her favourite thing about ‘Aftersun’ is, she replied: “All of it really. I love speaking to the friends and family. There’s so much to unpack from each episode.
“I love talking to the Islanders after they come out. You could easily talk to them all for half an hour at least.
“We’ve got a bigger studio audience than last year due to restrictions being lifted.
“I think that will really help the Islanders when they come back too to see the support that they have.”
Laura believes ‘Love Island’ has become an “iconic” show and she admits it is a “real honour” to be fronting the programme.
She added: “My favourite thing about hosting is being part of these journeys and then also, as a fan of the show, I get a bit of the behind the scenes view – although not as much as people think I get, sadly! It’s such an iconic show and it’s a real honour to be able to work on it.
“I have such respect for everyone who works on the show because it’s a huge production and I really respect the process. To be at the helm of something like this, it feels nice to be trusted to do it.”
