OHMYGOSSIP — Antigoni Buxton plans to bring “positive energy” to the ‘Love Island’ villa, but the bombshell has warned she is “competitive”.
The 26-year-old singer-songwriter insists she will put 100 per cent into someone she likes, but she is “quite competitive” in life and has been known to “get serious” over family ‘Monopoly’ games.
She said: “I think I’m going to bring a positive energy – I’m a very positive person.
“When I’m into somebody, I’m very much all about them. My culture is a very open, generous culture and I like to think I carry that trait as a girlfriend. I really put 100 per cent into somebody when I like them. I would also like that back.
“In life generally, I am quite competitive – I get really serious over Christmas Day ‘Monopoly’.”
However, Antigoni insists she will try not to tread on any of her fellow Islanders’ toes.
She said: “It’s not my intention to tread on anyone’s toes but if I feel the energy from somebody and that connection then in a very open and honest way, I will explore that but I’ll be transparent with everyone in the situation.”
And the star is remaining coy about which Islanders she might be into.
She said: “I won’t know who I’m feeling until I get in there – I need to meet somebody in person and see their energy and vibe.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dominik Diamond was snubbed from the ‘GamesMaster’ reboot.
The original presenter of the 90s Channel 4 video game programme – which was brought back in 2021, first on YouTube before heading to E4 – entered into discussions to come back, but the talks were “not fruitful”.
The 52-year-old broadcaster is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column as saying: “I’m not saying there weren’t conversations that happened between me and the producers but obviously those conversations were not fruitful, shall we say.”
Dominik admitted to going “way back” with the new presenter Robert ‘Rab’ Florence – who joined new GamesMaster Sir Trevor McDonald, the replacement for Sir Patrick Moore – and liking him “a lot” so was tight-lipped on his true opinions on the new show.
Of the new blood, he said: “I like him a lot and I go way back with him.”
Last October, Trevor admitted he was “delighted” to be taking over from the late Patrick – who died in 2012 aged 89 – as the GamesMaster, whose duties involved setting challenges and giving hints and tips to gamers.
He said: “I am delighted to be taking on this iconic role for a new generation of viewers.”
The original TV series ran from 1992 to 1998 and featured video game reviews as well as challenges where game players would compete against one another for the title of ‘GamesMaster Champion’ .
In the first format, Patrick provided hints and tips to players as the titular GamesMaster, while the series was hosted by Dominik, and for a brief period by Dexter Fletcher.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip’ is coming back for a new series.
Gordon Ramsay, Fred Sirieix and Gino D’Acampo are to reunite for a new season of their ITV travel show, despite previous concerns that Gordon’s schedule might be too full due to the celebrity chef being a “victim of his own success”.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “He is something of a victim of his own success at the moment, and he has so much on it’s tricky fitting it all in.
“He already has something of a logistical conundrum co-ordinating his diary with the busy Fred and Gino, and that’s before they try to set up a string of filming locations – which have yet to be decided.
“But they are determined to hit the road again as soon as possible and deliver the new show as planned.”
Doubt was cast over the return of the 55-year-old star after Gino joked on social media that Gordon was “too busy” to return to film because he was “working on his hair highlights”, after they explored Greece and had their Egypt jaunt halted by COVID-19 restrictions.
Earlier this year, the 45-year-old chef captioned a sleeping snap of them: “Unfortunately we will no longer be filming #GordonGinoandFred mainly because @gordongram is too busy working on his hair highlights in USA. (sic)”
However, the ‘This Morning’ star teased that he and his 50-year-old co-star Fred – who shot to fame as the ‘First Dates’ maitre’d – had “a plan”.
He added: “But don’t worry guys, @fred_sirieix and I have a plan #JustinGinoandFred Coming soon…….GDx. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessie Wallace has been issued a “clear warning” by ‘EastEnders’ bosses after she was arrested last weekend.
The 50-year-old actress – who plays Kat Slater on the BBC One soap – received a conditional caution after she was arrested on Sunday (19.06.22) on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and drunk and disorderly conduct, and the show’s producers have told her such behaviour is “unacceptable”.
A BBC spokesperson has told The Sun newspaper: “Senior bosses have spoken to Jessie Wallace about the incident and issued a clear warning that this kind of behaviour is unacceptable and Jessie has expressed her deep regret.”
It comes after Jessie was released without charge after accepting the caution.
A Suffolk Police spokesman confirmed: “A 50-year-old woman was arrested early on Sunday morning in St Andrew’s Street, Bury St Edmunds, on suspicion of assaulting a police officer/drunk and disorderly conduct and was released without charge after receiving a conditional caution.”
She had earlier been pictured watching Madness at Thetford Forest in nearby Brandon, and was filmed dancing to the band with her builder lover.
They got together after the actress dated greengrocer Paul Keepin, but they split in 2019 after two years.
Her four-year relationship with singer Tim Arnold ended in 2016 and five years earlier she infamously called off her wedding to catering businessman Vincent Morse after she found he had been unfaithful.
Jessie made a comeback to ‘EastEnders’ in September 2020 after she was kicked off the soap for allegedly drinking on set.
The show’s bosses had held crisis talks and it was decided her character Kat would be written out for two months to give Wallace a chance to “sort herself out”.
She joined the soap in 2000 and quickly became a fan favourite as the girlfriend of Alfie Moon, played by 58-year-old Shane Richie.

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Charnock would love to forge a career as a writer.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actor – who has played Marlon Dingle since October 1996 – wants to be “acknowledged” as a wordsmith after he penned several novels and short stories, but he joked someone will probably find them when he dies and “burn them”.
He said: “I want to be a writer. All my closest friends are writers. I’d like to be acknowledged. I’ve got hundreds of thousands of words – novels and short stories. By the time I pop my clogs, there’s going to be this vast JD Salinger-esque locker of unpublished stories. Somebody will read them and go, ‘Oh, let’s burn them.’ ”
Despite being an ‘Emmerdale’ veteran, Mark ensures he doesn’t ever feel complacent about his time on the show.
He said: “I’m really strict with myself. I never think beyond the contract. The amount of people who come on this show and think they’re secure, only to get written out in a threshing accident … If you start taking it for granted, you’re finished.”
Meanwhile, ‘EastEnders’ actress Natalie Cassidy – who has portrayed Sonia Fowler since 1993 – has hinted she may end up on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ when her time on the show is over, or she quite fancies working as front-of-house staff in a restaurant.
She said: “I always think, when I’m in a restaurant and have been looked after very well, I could do that front-of-house stuff very well. Or maybe you’ll see me in the jungle.
“For the time being, though – and I never get complacent about this – I think Sonia’s part of the fabric of EastEnders. You have these big stars who come and go, but Sonia’s like the curtains or the walls or the wallpaper. You need that for the soap opera to work.”
Over in ‘Coronation Street’, Sally Dynevor has portrayed Sally Metcalfe on the cobbles since October 1986, but admits she was once encouraged to leave the show by ‘Corrie’ legend Jean Alexander (Hilda Ogden) to try out other roles.
While Sally didn’t take her advice, she now “completely understands” what Jean meant.
Speaking to The Guardian newspaper, she added: “Jean Alexander said: ‘Don’t stay. You should be out in the big wide world.’
“Some actors don’t like it – they don’t enjoy the length and the process. But some thrive there. I’m one of those.”
“Now I’m older, I completely understand why Jean said what she did. I could have pushed myself, but I didn’t want to.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley Ballas has told how she can still feel the “shock” of the news of her brother’s suicide running “through her body”, as she helped to launch a new campaign to raise awareness of a misunderstood aspect of suicidal behaviour.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge is an ambassador for suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), which has today (22.06.22) unveiled its ‘The Last Photo’ exhibition to challenge the stigma and stereotypes surrounding suicide.
The poignant outdoor gallery, which is on London’s South Bank, displays 50, 6.5-foot high, smiling photos taken in the last days of people who took their own lives and shares the stories of shock, sadness and heartbreak their friends and families experienced.
Shirley – who unveiled the gallery alongside fellow CALM ambassadors Jamie Laing and Amber Gill – said: “I can still feel the shock of the news running through my body, a cold and chilling feeling of disbelief when my brother died by suicide on the 5th of December all those years ago.
“A life lost that in my opinion could have been saved if we’d been more educated and understood more about communicating feelings.
“Through this campaign we want to help people get familiar with what signs to look out for if someone is struggling, and feel more confident about starting that conversation.
“Whether that’s around the dinner table, in the pub, or in parliament, if we can make the conversation inescapable, we can all help to save a life.”
New research conducted by YouGov for CALM has uncovered new insights into the public’s understanding of suicide, reveals 61 per cent would struggle to tell if someone they knew felt suicidal.
Only 24 per cent of people think that someone experiencing suicidal thoughts would also smile and joke and just 22 per cent of those polled would share happy photos on social media.
‘Made in Chelsea’ star Jamie has encouraged people to “start a conversation” to help stop suicide.
He said: “There’s no one way a person feeling suicidal will act – and we can all be masters of disguise.
“But by starting a conversation, we can all help stop suicide. That’s why we’re here to ask everyone to join us, unite against suicide and start talking about it.
“Because only by talking about it can we save lives. Together we can remove the stigma that surrounds suicide and make it an everyday conversation.”
Former ‘Love Island’ star Amber added: “It’s not always easy to know when someone is feeling low but we need to trust our instincts and ask the question, ‘How are you really doing?’
“The worst thing that can happen is a brief period of awkwardness vs years of regret. The more we talk openly about mental health and suicide, the less stigma surrounds it.”
The exhibition – at Riverside Central, London Southbank (Lambeth Council), SE1 9PP – will be open to the public on Wednesday 22nd June to Sunday 26th June.

OHMYGOSSIP — Rob Beckett once spent four hours on a flight trying to stop his daughter from pulling an elderly woman’s hair out.
The ‘Celebs Go Dating’ narrator revealed the lengths he went to stop one of his two daughters – who he has with his wife Louise Watts – from attacking and removing the lady’s tresses from her head.
Speaking on the Walt Disney Travel Company’s podcast ‘Journey to the Magic’, he told host Giovanna Fletcher: “We were on our way back from Tenerife – which is too long a flight for what is like a little easyJet budget one. We had an 18 month old with us on our lap.
“Lou had our elder one who was 4.5 who wasn’t well and fell asleep on her. Lou loved that, out of the game – by the window, a kid with a temperature asleep on her that’s had Calpol – the dream scenario isn’t it!
“I held an 18 month old in my hands that was just jumping on my legs for four hours. There was an older lady in front – you know when ladies get to about 80 and their hair just becomes this sort of big grey bird’s nest that is just wiry … and my daughter just went to grab it – but you know at 18 months they are strong – I spent four hours pulling her back so she didn’t, because I reckon, she could have pulled this old lady’s head off.”
Rob has also confessed he is “scared of rides” so he loves Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and praised how there is “loads” for little kids to do there.
He said: “You could take a four year old to Magic Kingdom and there’s loads for them to go on. What’s also good, because I’m scared of rides – I shouldn’t say that really – I was really worried that I wouldn’t be able to go on all the rides, so when we went to Disneyland Paris, they’ve got loads of smaller rides, and I went on them.
“So we were getting the children used to rides but actually I was starting from zero again, I’m working my way up! Again, in America we did that and by the end of it, I went on the Thunder Mountain one and the Slinky one, which is quite big. I was doing all of them and ones with drops and stuff like that way bigger than what was stressing me out before.
“So it was so nice and Magic Kingdom’s perfect for that because you could work your way up, there’s that little Goofy one that’s tiny but you do that couple of times. I was very anxious kid so if your kid is quite anxious definitely just go slow and work them up. I could have got my kids on Space Mountain at 6 if they were tall enough, they would have gone anything.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ekin Su Cülcüloğlu and Amber Beckford get in a furious bust-up over “game playing” in Monday night’s (20.06.22) ‘Love Island’ instalment.
The pair’s clash follows a chat Ekin Su, 27, has with bombshell entrant Jay Younger, 28, who are coupled after the actress ditched 27-year-old Italian businessman Davide Sanclimenti.
Ekin Su is seen talking about friendship with her female castmates, and decides to single out Amber for a chat after Jay claims he senses friction with another girl.
She tells the 24-year-old: “I was sitting there and (Jay) was like, ‘I think Amber and Paige don’t like you’.”
Amber admits: “I feel like upstairs, you’ve been really genuine and we’ve seen a vulnerable side to you but I will add, over the last couple of days I’ve thought, ‘Is she playing a bit of a game?’”
Ekin Su snarls: “What’s your actual issue with me? All you’re saying doesn’t make sense.”
Amber says: “You’re playing a bit of a game, enjoying the drama.”
But Ekin Su hits out: “Am I playing a game or are you playing a game?”
It comes after Ekin Su said she hates Amber for breaking ‘girl code’ as she advised Dami Hope, 26, to “go to the terrace” with Indiyah Polack, 22, behind Amber’s back.
Davide was left raging when he found Ekin Su had kissed Jay behind his back, branding her “the fakest person I ever met”.
Meanwhile, Davide pulls Indiyah for a chat in which he asks her if she feels like they “have a connection”.
Monday night’s episode will also see the contestants taking part in the show’s famous stomach-churning food spitting task.
The ‘Lip Service Challenge’ sees the Islanders use their mouths to transfer food to their partner, with preview footage showing Luca Bish, 23, swapping saliva with new bombshell Danica Taylor, 21, after he refused to share a bed with her on Sunday night’s (19.06.22) episode.
The new instalment will also be extended by five minutes to fit in drama after Islanders learn the public have been voting for their favourite girl and boy.

The EastEnders actress, 50, was held after the row erupted outside the Flex nightspot in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, in front of partygoers.
It has been reported Wallace, who was later released after being given a caution, was with her new boyfriend at the time.
A Suffolk Police spokesman confirmed: “A 50-year-old woman was arrested early on Sunday morning in St Andrew’s Street, Bury St Edmunds, on suspicion of assaulting a police officer/drunk and disorderly conduct and was released without charge after receiving a conditional caution.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ star Adam Woodyatt quit booze after his doctor told him his liver was “taking a bit of a hammering”.
The actor has revealed he was hospitalised with a stomach issue more than two years ago and received a stern warning from his doctor who urged him to give up alcohol for six weeks – but Adam ended up going teetotal after feeling the health benefits during his break from booze.
He told The Sun: “I went into hospital with a stomach issue and they pointed out my liver was probably taking a bit of a hammering.
“They said, ‘Look, give your liver a rest for six weeks, we’ll do some tests.’ Then COVID happened and six weeks became 12 weeks.
“And I thought, ‘Do you know what -I’ve cracked this, I don’t miss it, I’m better off without it’.”
Adam went on to insist he’s not sure if he’s given up alcohol forever as he’s leaving the door open to the possibility he might embrace drinking again.
He’s previously revealed giving up alcohol helped him slim down as he went on to lose around three stone in weight as part of a healthy new lifestyle which included regular cycling.
The Ian Beale actor told The Cambridge Independent: “With giving up alcohol, the weight drops off and because the weight dropped it was easier to cycle.
“So it was easier to stay fit. That’s all it was. I’m just not really focused on it. I’ve not really made a big fuss about it. I just stopped drinking. But everyone’s different.”
Adam added: “At this point in my life, yeah, I’m quite happy not drinking. And the result is I’ve lost about three stone in weight.”
