OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark was “crying all day” and considering quitting showbiz after his marriage ended.
The former ‘Big Brother’ star separated from his husband Dan Neal last summer after six years together, and the 33-year-old presenter admitted he shared the bed with his mum Linda, 69, as he struggled with their split.
He told OK! Magazine: “I couldn’t have got through the last year without my mum, she was there for me majorly. She was my entire support.
“At one point, I didn’t want to come back, I didn’t want this job any more – I didn’t want to do anything.”
Linda added: “He’s got this beautiful home, but he was here with me. He couldn’t sleep so I said, ‘Get in my bed with me’.
“He’d lost so much weight, he was just staring all the time. I was crying all day with him, and I was forcing him to eat.”
The former ‘X Factor’ star stepped back from social media, and turned his life around after starting an exercise and diet plan.
His comments come after Ryaln insisted he has to “learn to trust again” following the end of his marriage.
He said: “I’ve just got to learn to trust again. I was in a ten-year relationship and when you learn things… It f**** you up.
“I don’t know how long I’ll be f***** up for. I’m good in myself, but it’s going to take someone f****** special… It’s not a quick fix.”
Rylan previously revealed he’s looking for love again, and has a wish list of traits he wants in a potential new flame.
He shared: “My dream man is someone f****** decent, who is proud of me, who is happy when I walk through the door, who treats me with f****** respect, who loves me, makes me laugh and me do exactly the same for them – that’s my dream man.
“I don’t care if he works in Sainsbury’s or he’s a Hollywood A-lister.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ will premiere each week’s episodes on BBC iPlayer this summer.
From Monday (27.07.22), the BBC soap’s four weekly episodes will be available to watch on the on-demand service, and that will continue each week over the summer until mid-August.
It comes as a summer of sport will disrupt the TV coverage.
Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer, said: “With such a big summer of sport ahead, box setting all four episodes again this year feels like the perfect solution to enable ‘EastEnders’ viewers to choose when and where they want to get their weekly fix from Albert Square.
“We have a big summer ahead so this is the perfect way to ensure that no one has to miss out.”
The Mitchell family will be at the heart of the drama in Albert Square this summer, with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) set to make a lethal enemy in prison.
Sam Mitchell’s (Kim Medcalf) true intentions will soon come into play, and Ben Mitchell’s (Max Bowden) behaviour is set to spiral further out of control after he was recently sexually assaulted.
What’s more, Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) will get a shock when his estranged brother Avery (Omar Lye-Fook), and two sons, Finlay (Ashley Byam) and Felix (Matthew Morrison) turn-up in Walford.
This comes after it was recently revealed ‘EastEnders’ will switch from its longtime home on BBC One to BBC Two for part of the summer, once the Wimbledon tennis tournament kicks off on June 27.
But the days and times of the episodes will remain the same.
The show will air Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC Two while Wimbledon matches will be broadcast on BBC One.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jordan North was left “panicking” on a flight when he was told one of the plane’s engines might be on fire.
The BBC Radio 1 DJ recently jetted off from Gatwick Airport on a Spanish airline when the plane began “veering to the left” and the captain warned passengers an emergency landing might be necessary.
He said: “We started veering to the left and the captain came on and said we had to do an emergency landing!”
The 32-year-old star admits he was starting to get worried and then asked a steward what the issue was, only to be told one of the engines could’ve caught fire.
He explained: “I said to the steward, ‘Is everything OK?’ and you could tell I was panicking, and he said, ‘There may be fire on left engine.’
“So I was like, ‘What, do I need to ring my mum?’ and he said, ‘No, these things happen, you want complimentary water?’ I was like, ‘Water? Give me vodka!’ ”
Fortunately for Jordan and his fellow passengers, the issue wasn’t a fire.
He is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column as saying: “It was a technical issue. It wasn’t a fire.”
This comes after it was recently revealed Jordan is to host a new physical challenge series, ‘Warrior Island’, for BBC Three.
The show will see eight young people cut off from the modern world in a month-long programme, in an effort to improve their mental and physical health.
He said: “Nearly two years ago, in front of the nation, I was sick on the edge of a cliff and everything changed forever – from there I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and I haven’t looked back since. Which is why I love this show. We’re pushing eight young people well beyond their comfort zones to become stronger in body and mind to help turn their lives around.”
Each of the eight contestants will be paired with experts in a specific of fitness and health – known as Warriors – who will mentor and push them every step of the way.
The 10-part series is set to air on BBC Three and iPlayer in early 2023.

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Pegg has “relished” taking on a more serious role in ‘The Undeclared War’.
The 52-year-old actor – who rose to fame playing the likes of Tim and Shaun in Channel 4 sitcom ‘Spaced’ and 2004 zombie comedy ‘Shaun of the Dead’ respectively – plays cyber security expert Danny in Channel 4’s new thriller, and he’s glad to be doing something he can relate to.
He told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “It is a more dramatic role and something that I really relished – I trained to do that kind of thing. But I took a particular path and it’s really lovely to be able to jump onto another path.
“I relate more to Danny now in my life, at 52, than I do Shaun or any of those characters I’ve played – particularly Tim in ‘Spaced’, who was sort of a stoner who didn’t know what to do with his life.
“Danny knows exactly what he wants to do with his life, he’s extremely adept at executing that, so it was really enjoyable to play a character who’s so far from what I’m known for playing.”
The new Channel 4 show is set in GCHQ in a future where the UK is facing a series of cyber attacks which could result in terrifying scenarios for the public, and Danny’s team is the last line of defence.
While Simon has spent a lot of the last 20 years in the US working on various big screen projects, he wanted to return to UK TV due to the thriller’s engaging script.
He added: “I was extremely flattered to be sent the script, just because it’s not the sort of role that people would assume I’d be interested in.
“It just felt like a no-brainer to me. I was immediately on the phone saying: ‘Yes please – I’d like to come home.’ ”
Simon joked that if taking on more serious roles doesn’t work out, he has an obvious back-up plan.
He quipped: “I’ll just go back to playing idiots.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Capaldi is to star in new Apple TV+ thriller ‘Criminal Record’.
The former ‘Doctor Who’ star will join forces with Cush Jumbo in the new series, which will see them play detectives in a tug of war over an historic murder conviction.
An anonymous phone call will bring the two detectives into a confrontation about an old murder case.
Peter’s well-connected character Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Hegarty is determined to protect his legacy, while Cush’s alter-ego Detective Sergeant June Lenker is in the early stages of her career.
‘Criminal Record’ is set in the heart of contemporary London, and touches on issues of race, institutional failure, and the quest to find common ground in a polarised Britain.
Both 64-year-old Peter and Cush, 36, will serve as executive producers on the show, with Save Me Too’s Jim Loach set to direct the series.
The series is currently in production in London.
Peter previously played the Time Lord in ‘Doctor Who’ from 2013 to 2017, and last year the star admitted he loved the “B movie kind of cobbled together quality” in the sci-fi show, comparing it to his work on movie ‘The Suicide Squad’.
He said: “There was more money, you know, like ‘Doctor Who’, we don’t, we don’t really have enough – everything on ‘Doctor Who’ falls to pieces, all of the props fall to pieces and the costumes have to be stuck together with duct tape and Velcro and stuff.
“I like the kind of B movie kind of cobbled together, quality of it, you know that it’s really there’s never really quite enough money, but the ideas are often very special that’s what I like.
“But it’s also nice to be somewhere where they do have enough money to make the monsters look … scary.”

The ‘One Show’ presenter is the face of Great British Racing’s (GBR) Everyone’s Turf campaign, which promotes the wide range of raceday experiences at more than 400 fixtures set to take place this summer, including activities for children, a huge range of food options, and pulsating concerts from top musical acts.
Former England footballer Jermaine said: “I am really excited to be part of Everyone’s Turf. The sporting action at racecourses is second to none and the range of raceday experiences on offer is setting the benchmark for days out this summer.

OHMYGOSSIP — Samia Longchambon used her own experiences with vile trolls to inspire her upcoming ‘Coronation Street’ storyline.
The 39-year-old actress – who has played Maria Connor on the cobbles since 2000 – admitted she didn’t have to do much research into the plot, having suffered with online abuse over the years.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I’ve had trolls to the point it’s been really upsetting. It ends up affecting you mental health…
“Those people would never say that to your face. You’re such an easy target on social media.”
She noted how important it is for the ITV soap to deal with such serious issues, and insisted there will always be critics online.
She added: “If you dig hard enough you’ll always find someone who wants to tear you down.”
Some of the hate Samia had to deal with came when she started dating her now-husband Sylvain Longchambon, who she was partnered with on ‘Dancing On Ice’ back in 2013.
He split with ‘Hollyoaks’ star Jennifer Metcalfe – who was paired with him on the figure skating show two years earlier – while Samia broke up with her former ‘Corrie’ cast mate Will Thorp.
She later married Sylvain in 2016, a year after they welcomed their first child together.
She said: “People thought I stole her man. It absolutely wasn’t true.”
Meanwhile, Samia – who has 12-year-old daughter Freya and six-year-old son Yves with Sylvain – noted that trolling needs to be regulated to protect younger people online.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: “I look at my daughter, who’s 12, and I’m really nervous about her using it because you’re such an easy target on social media.
“I think it’s a huge issue at the moment with the rise in popularity of social media over the last few years. There’s a lot of negativity on social media and it can have a huge effect in your life.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ralf Little is “genuinely delighted” after discovering his footballer great-granddad won a cup final.
The 42-year-old actor has found out his great-grandfather Albert Lockey – who represented Wales over 100 years ago – scored in the 1984 Welsh Cup final to help Chirk FC to victory.
Discovering the news in his upcoming episode of BBC’s ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’, Ralf says: “This is a big cup final. This has absolutely made my day.
“Honestly, it’s so funny. This is 100 years ago, more than 100 years ago. I’m genuinely delighted to read about my great-granddad winning this cup and scoring.”
The ‘Royle Family’ star was researching his mum’s side of the family tree when he found out about Albert.
Ralf himself has played as a semi-pro for Edgware Town and Maidstone United, while he’s also appeared in charity matches including the Game 4 Grenfell.
In his upcoming episode – as quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper – he adds: “I’ve always been a decent player but I never quite really knew where it has come from.”
However, Ralf is “heartbroken” when he’s told Albert quit football in 1904 amid a religious revival throughout Wales.
He says: “So he gave up playing football for religion? I can’t begin to tell you, as an atheist, how upsetting that is to me.
“What a twist. What a twist. Did not see that coming. I am disappointed. I am. I’m kind of heartbroken.”
Ralf – whose episode airs on June 30 – will also delve into his maternal grandfather Arthur Bailey’s experiences in World War II, when he was on HMS Indefatigable when it became the first British ship to be hit by a kamikaze pilot in 1945 during the Battle of Okinawa.
He admits: “He faced hardship a lot and just took it. I wish I’d asked him about it now. I wish I got to know him better. I guess I never realised that there was that much to talk about.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Parkinson insists he was never in the running for the lead role in ‘Doctor Who’ – but he’d rather play The Master.
The ‘Line of Duty’ star – who played villain Matthew ‘Dot’ Cottan in the hit BBC police corruption drama – was rumoured to be in line to take over the TARDIS, with the role as the new Time Lord eventually going to Ncuti Gatwa.
As quoted by The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column, he said: “That whole Doctor Who speculation – they love it don’t they?
“They love getting a list together of who it’s going to be.
“No, it would never happen, and anyway I’d probably sooner be The Master if I’m honest.”
His comments come after it was revealed Neil Patrick Harris will play villain The Toymaker – who last appeared on the show in 1966 – in scenes set to air in 2023 as part of the show’s 60th anniversary.
A source recently claimed “a shop with the name Mr Emporium has been spotted on location in Bristol, complete with a sign which claims the proprietor is the ‘Toymaker of the Year'”.
Meanwhile, showrunner Russell T Davies, 59, recently said in a statement: “It’s my huge honour to open our studio doors for the mighty Neil Patrick Harris … but who, why, what is he playing? You’ll just have to wait. But I promise you, the stuff we’re shooting now is off the scale. Doctor beware!”
And he called Harris’ character “the greatest enemy the Doctor has ever faced”.
Ncuti will step into the TARDIS as Jodie Whittaker’s replacement when she leaves her role as the two-hearted time traveller at the end of the year.
He said: “It feels really amazing. It’s a true honour. This role is an institution and it’s so iconic.
“I feel very grateful to have had the baton handed over and I’m going to try to do my best.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Beckford was “shocked” to be voted off ‘Love Island.’
The 24-year-old nanny from London was taking part in the smash hit ITV2 reality dating series but was voted off by the public in Tuesday’s (21.06.22) episode and described her experience in the Mallorca villa as a “rollercoaster.”
She said: “It was definitely a shock [to be voted off] but I’m excited for the future. I’m excited to see the other Islanders but hopefully not too soon! I’ll be rooting for all of them. It was definitely a bit of a rollercoaster! I feel like I enjoyed my time in the Villa – I was true to myself and I don’t have any regrets at all.”
The public was asked to vote to keep their favourite boy and favourite girl in the show and as a result, Amber’ -who had been dating Dami Hope – faced the chop along with co-star Ikenna Ekwonna, who joked that his time on the show was the “best holiday” he had ever had and promised that he would be “linking up” with ex-girlfriend and fellow Islander Indiyah now that his time on the show is up.
He said: “It was definitely the best holiday I’ve ever been on. I didn’t find romance but it was nice to be in the Villa, nice to have a pool in the heat, couldn’t really complain. Obviously short-lived but that’s cool though. I’ll definitely link up with everyone, one million percent, Indiyah included. I’m not sure in what way though.”

The 26-year-old singer-songwriter – who hails from London – decided to sign up for the hit ITV2 reality dating show after her last relationship fell apart and will make her debut in the Mallorca villa as a bombshell arrival on Wednesday (21.06.22.) episode
She said: “I’ve been single for almost a year and a half and for the whole of the last year my goal has been to have as many different experiences as possible. I really just want to say ‘yes’ to things. Why not? It’ll be fun. I’m a Cypriot girl and I love being in the sun. I’ve got nothing to lose.”
The ‘Good As Gold’ singer – who released her debut EP ‘A1’ back in 2020 – was teased as a dramatic addition to the dating show at the end of Monday’s episode and her sister Sophia took to Instagram to alert fans that she will be taking over Antigoni’s social media pages as she takes part in the show.
Sophia wrote on Antigoni’s Instagram page: “Verified
The secret is out! Catch our superstar Antigoni on Love Island tomorrow. I’ll be on my best sister duties and be the face behind her socials. Hope you all support your fav new island girl.”(sic)
Antigoni’s entrance into the villa comes shortly after Ikenna Ekwonna and Amber Beckford were voted off the show on Monday but the only Islander currently single and waiting to be paired up with a girl is Dami Hope.

The former ‘Great British Bake Off’ judge has landed a new series on BBC Two, which will be made up of six half-hour episodes and is focused on sharing whether it’s romantic meals for two or big gatherings.
In a statement, she said: “Sharing recipes is always an utter joy for me and this series is the ultimate guide, whether you are cooking for a crowd or just for two.
“I’m loving visiting some spectacular parts of the country at extraordinary events, gatherings and beautiful locations for this new series.

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Lycett was investigated by police after an audience member complained about one of his stand-up jokes.
The ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’ regular, 33, said he was asked to explain the context of the gag, but authorities have now closed the case.
He added in an Instagram post to his 1.1 million followers he hoped the joke amused investigating officers and declared it would be staying in his concert routine for the rest of his UK and Ireland tour.
Alongside a photo of the police’s message confirming his case was closed, Lycett said: “So someone came to my tour show a few weeks back and was offended by one of the jokes.
“And their perfectly understandable response to this was… to call the f****** police. To be fair to them the fuzz were very nice about it all but felt they had a duty to investigate.
“This involved me writing a statement explaining the context of the joke for them; I particularly enjoyed putting the words ‘giant donkey d***’ into a message to a police detective.
“Charmed, and hopefully amused, the rozzers have since closed the matter.”
Lycett went on: “You’ll be pleased to know that the joke – which I consider to be one of the best I’ve ever written – remains firmly and proudly in the show. The tour continues until September, unless I am jailed.”
Lycett has used wind-ups and pranks to raise issues about society including single-use plastics and the impact of the oil industry.
He also made headlines in March 2020 when he temporarily changed his name Hugo Boss after the German designer used trademark claims to target businesses and charities who used “boss” in branding.
