OHMYGOSSIP — Antigoni Buxton has gone on ‘Love Island’ to help her music career.
The 26-year-old beauty was a late arrival to the villa earlier this week and is currently coupled up with Davide Sanclimenti, but it seems finding love may not be her main priority as according to her family, she’s hoping the TV exposure will turn people on to her songs.
According to the Daily Star Sunday newspaper, in a post sent to supporters, Antigoni’s mum, Tonia Buxton shared links to her daughter’s songs and wrote: “She is on it to showcase her music.
“Please vote for her, tell all your friends followers to vote for her too most importantly PLEASE talk about her music. The longer she is in there, the longer her music will get out there.”
A spokesperson for the programme insisted they only cast people who are “looking for love”.
They said: “’Love Island’ casts Islanders who are looking for love. That’s made clear in the application and casting process.”
Speaking before her arrival in the Majorcan villa, Antigoni said she was taking part in the programme to get “different experiences”.
She said: “I really just want to say yes to things. Why not? It’ll be fun. I’m a Cypriot girl and I love being in the sun. I’ve got nothing to lose!”
And Antigoni wanted to bring a “positive energy” to the show.
She said: “I think I’m going to bring a positive energy – I’m a very positive person.
“When I’m into somebody, I’m very much all about them. My culture is a very open, generous culture and I like to think I carry that trait as a girlfriend. I really put 100 per cent into somebody when I like them. I would also like that back.
“In life generally, I am quite competitive – I get really serious over Christmas Day ‘Monopoly’.”
‘Love Island’ airs at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Joanna Lumley will be a guest judge on the next series of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’.
The 76-year-old actress has been at the top of producers’ wish lists for years and following delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ star has finally filmed an episode for the upcoming series of the show.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: “Execs have been trying to get Joanna on the show for years. The pandemic caused a delay, but finally it has worked out.
“Everyone is so excited that they managed to make it happen. Joanna is easily one of the best signings in the show’s history.
“She’s a bona fide legend and national treasure.”
The former model was chosen for the show because of her decades of experience in the entertainment industry.
The insider added: “Joanna has done it all. If anyone can dish out handy advice to contestants, it’s got to be her. She knows how to make it in the industry and stay at the top of your game for decades.”
Other guest judges on the upcoming series will include Alison Hammond, AJ Odudu and Tess Daly.
A source previously said of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star Tess: “Tess really showed off her edge during this stint and her witty one-liners and humour went down well.”
Meanwhile, Alison is delighted to have been given a slot on the judging panel after previously asking Alan Carr to help her get a job.
She said: “I love ‘Drag Race’. They’re on another level aren’t they?”
Asked if she’d like to be a guest judge, she said: “Oh, I’d love to do it, I’d absolutely love to do it. Can you put a word in, babes?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Paige Thorne admits she enjoyed pillow talk with bombshell Jay on Sunday night’s (26.06.22) ‘Love Island’ as her love triangle continues.
The paramedic, 24, was separated from rugby player Jacques O’Neill, as Jay Younger, 28, chose her to re-couple with.
They are seen chatting on the sofas when Jay asks Paige: “How are you feeling after the first night, sleeping without Jacques?”
She admits: “Ah no, it was all good, I enjoyed our pillow talk, it was nice to get to know each other, do you know what I mean? What about you?”
Later in the Beach Hut, Paige smiles as she reveals: “It’s an awkward one because the boys – Jay and Jacques – you couldn’t get more opposite guys in here, really.”
In the night Jacques quietly pulls Paige for a talk on the stairs after maybe sensing he was on thin ice.
It comes after fans were left convinced Paige had sex with Jacques after they spent the night in the romantic hideaway – with viewers highlighting a bottle of lubricant next to their bed as proof of the theory.
Paige had previously been left tearful over Jacques’ casual reaction to Jay wanting to get to know her better.
Jacques told her: “Jay just pulled me for a chat, says he’s gonna get to know you and I was like, ‘Yeah sweet, crack on. It don’t bother me’.”
Paige later broke down, saying: “The whole Jacques thing… he’s like, ‘Yeah, go and have your conversation with Jay’.
“And it’s not really what I want and I’m a bit like, ‘Are you pushing it that hard because you’re not feeling the same way?’”
Meanwhile, Dami Hope, 26, and Indiyah Polack, 23, get to know each other better on their first date.
The pair settle down to chat on the sofas as Indiyah receives a text, which reads: ‘Dami and Indiyah, it’s time for you to go on your first date. Please get ready to leave the Villa #chemistryfordays #damiyah.’
As the two sit down on their date, Indiyah remarks on their journey in the villa: “I feel like we’ve had a crazy journey but I feel like it’s meant to happen.
“People have come and gone in the villa but we’ve both been here the whole time so it’s like, sometimes it’s right in front of you.”
Dami asks: “Where’s your head at, do you feel like it could be turned easily?”
Indiyah replies: “You know what, I’m gonna be honest – at this moment, no. Obviously it’s early days but I’m not even focusing on that right now. Me and you are both here, I’m getting to know you and I’m genuinely happy. You make me laugh, you make me smile.”
Dami adds: “Why is this so easy?” and Indiyah smiles: “Do you think everything is just falling into place perfectly?”
Dami agrees: “Yeah, but like, too perfect to be honest like, it just feels too perfect.”
Indiyah then asks: “Too good to be true, hey?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dad’s Army veteran Frank Williams has died six days before he was due to turn 91.
The actor – best known for playing vicar Timothy Farthing in the BBC sitcom, passed away Sunday morning after he last year admitted he was struggling with health issues including deteriorating sight.
His death was announced in a statement on his official Facebook page, which said: “So sorry to say that our beloved friend, colleague and actor, Frank Williams, passed away this morning.
“He was almost 91, and we are grateful for all the years of joy, laughter and happiness he brought to so many. Thank you Frank! X.”
Williams was due to turn 91 on July 2, and his passing prompted hundreds of comments of sympathy in reaction to the Facebook post.
He joked his ‘Dad’s Army’ role left him typecast as he also played clergy in comedies ‘You Rang, M’Lord?’, ‘Hi-de-Hi!’ and ‘What’s Up Nurse’.
The north London-born actor said on the eve of his 90th birthday he was amazed to be heading towards the “milestone”.
He was partially sighted at that stage and walking with a stick.
But he said his dwindling vision wasn’t stopping him from enjoying repeats of ‘Dad’s Army’.
He said: “I’ve got macular degeneration. It’s irritating but I cope. I can still recognise people if they stand close to me. Sadly, I can’t read any more so I listen to audiobooks.
“When it comes to watching TV, I have to sit close to the set – but I still enjoy seeing the episodes whenever they’re shown.
“A few weeks ago, it was ‘The Armoured Might of Lance Corporal Jones’, the opening episode of series three. It was significant for many reasons, including being the first in colour and my debut.”
He gave the interview at the north London home he shared with long-time friend and fellow actor Ronnie Grainge.
Williams also called playing the ‘Dad’s Army’ vicar “the happiest period of my professional life”.
He added: “Initially, I thought it was for just one episode but the character became a regular.
“I ended up appearing in 39 of the 80 TV episodes, the original film, stage show and 14 radio episodes.”
His role left him receiving fan letters including requests from couples getting married to perform the ceremony, wrongly believing he was a real vicar.
He went to school at Ardingly College, West Sussex, and Hendon School before starting his career in acting at the Watford Palace Theatre.
The repertory theatre was run by ‘Dad’s Army’ creator Jimmy Perry.
He was the second-last surviving cast member of the show, leaving only Private Pike actor Ian Lavender, 76, alive from the show’s line-up.

OHMYGOSSIP — Blind Date voiceover icon Graham Skidmore has died aged 90.
The narrator – dubbed “Our Graham” by the ITV show’s host Cilla Black – passed after a 10-year battle with vascular dementia.
His son Neil, 54, said: “He might not have wanted to be seen on screen, but he had a celebrity voice – a known voice.
“He loved it. I do event organising and had a show in London and got dad to do the voice over. People recognised him straight away.”
Skidmore was a regular in the 1980s and ’90s on ‘Blind Date’ and from 1993 to 2002 his distinct tones were heard when he did voiceovers for Vic Reeves’ and Bob Mortimer’s ‘Shooting Stars’.
The father of three, who had five grandchildren, died on 27th December, but news of his death only emerged on Sunday night. (26.06.22)
His son added: “As children we did TV adverts with him. We would go off and be a family for P and O travel and the Abbey National.”
Daughter Catherine Johnson, 52, said Skidmore started out wanting to be a doctor, but missed his final exams because of an ear infection.
He had also been due to fight in the Korean War, but his health issue returned and he stayed at home – changing his life by plunging him into the world of showbiz thanks to his “exceptional” singing voice.
She said: “After National Service he went into engineering and for a hobby he started singing. He had an exceptional singing voice.
“He was told he ought to try out for musicals. That is what got him into the theatre.
“Daddy was self employed and had other lines of work. He had a launderette, a corner shop and he did up some flats. So there was some kind of consistency .
“He got into ‘Blind Date’ and then ‘Shootings Stars’.”
She said he was also in a ‘St Trinian’s’ movie, a Style Council video with Paul Weller and could be seen in the background of Stanley Kubrick’s film ‘Eyes Wide Shut’.
Johnson added: “At my wedding when he started talking people were turning round saying. ‘I know that voice’, even though they did not know he was the voice on ‘Blind Date’.
“He was a marvellous man. He looked after people and made sure other people were taken care of.
“He was very modest. He was not a theatrical ‘look at me person.’ He never really wanted his face to be seen that’s why he liked doing the voice overs.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Frankie Essex has named her twins Logan and Louella.
The 34-year-old star gave birth to her and partner Luke Luv’s babies last month and while she had chosen her daughter’s name over a decade ago, her boyfriend picked their son’s moniker in honour of his favourite character from the ‘X-Men’ franchise, though they didn’t realise at the time both share similar meanings.
She said: “Our son is called Logan and weighed 5lb 4oz, and our daughter is Luella and weighed 4lb 8oz.
“Luella has always been my girl name since I was 20 – I’ve never told anyone the name in case they stole it.
“Luke chose Logan’s name as he loves the [X-Men] character Wolverine, who’s called Logan. They both mean warrior, but we only found that out recently.”
While the twins are only a few weeks old, Frankie thinks they are already showing very different personalities.
She told the new issue of OK! magazine: “Logan is a dream, he’s so good and so chill.
“Luella is sassy, but she pulls the cutest faces. They look so different. Logan looks like Luke and Luella looks like me, but she’s petite and Logan is long. You can tell one is a girl and one is a boy.
“There was a moment in the hospital when I was brushing my teeth and looking at my nose in the mirror and noticed Luella has exactly the same nostrils as mine – flarey! It made me burst out laughing.
“They’re settling in lovely. They look at each other all the time, and their little heads touch when they’re sleeping. It’s like they’re in love. It’s so beautiful to see. They know when they’re not together, they can’t settle.”
To combat the tiredness that comes with having newborn twins, Frankie and Luke have been having Vitamin B12 administered via an IV drip to boost their energy levels.
Frankie explained: “They’re feeding every three hours.
“We’ve found the tiredness really hard. People tell you, ‘Get your sleep in when you can,’ but it’s impossible, especially with two. We’re sleeping for 90 minutes at a time, max.
“I feel more alive this week.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Binky Felstead’s baby son was rushed to hospital just days after her beloved pet pooch was run over.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star’s 12-month-old boy, Wolfie – whom she has with husband Max Fredrik Darnton – suffered an allergic reaction after eating hummus with sesame seeds in it at a restaurant over the weekend.
The parents panicked as the tot’s face swelled up and immediately called 999 and were taken to hospital in an ambulance as Woflie had an anaphylaxis shock.
The little one was treated with an adrenaline shot and was pictured in the hospital surrounded by medical staff, who gave him a teddy bear for being so brave.
The hospital dash comes just days after their dog Pedro almost died after being hit by a van.
Alongside pictures from the hospital, Binky – who also has daughter India, five, with ex Joshua ‘JP’ Patterson –

told her Instagram followers: “Blimey- Looking forward to a new week!!
“What with Pedro being hit by a van … now Wolfie being rushed off in a ambulance after a bad reaction to what we think is the sesame in the hummus he had at lunch.
“He went bright red all over his face and hands and white little spots appeared shortly before his eye, lips and tongue started to swell. We left the restaurant immediately and drove to the nearest pharmacist who said to call 999 … which we did and these incredible paramedics arrived within 4 minutes!”
She added: “All very scary, they said hes had a anaphylaxis shock and gave Wolfie a small adrenaline shot. They were worried about him becoming unable to breath so put the sirens on, drove pretty bloody quickly and we had our first experience in a ambulance!
“Wolfies face started calming down again luckily and he was loving the noises and all the exciting things dangling off inside of the ambulance. He also got a bear to keep for being so brave. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ bosses are keen to sign Steph McGovern for this year’s series.
The 40-year-old TV presenter is seen by ‘Strictly’ bosses are the ideal fit for the upcoming series, and it’s been suggested that the timing might also be ideal for Steph.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Steph has the personality and profile which makes her a perfect choice in the eyes of Strictly producers.
“They completely understood why she’s had to say no in the past. She was just establishing Packed Lunch on Channel 4 and wanted to give that her complete attention.
“But now it is a firm fixture in the schedules. It was nominated for a BAFTA earlier this year and only last month it was announced it had been recommissioned and will run into 2023.”
Steph used to present the business segment on ‘BBC Breakfast’ before getting her own show on Channel 4.
And the presenter previously revealed that she lied to land her role on the morning show.
She shared: “I remember when I got the job of presenting ‘Breakfast’ news, I’d been asked, ‘Have you ever done live TV before?’ And I said yes … And I hadn’t.
“You’ve got to blag it sometimes in life and I told them ten seconds before we went to air.”
Steph subsequently recalled confessing the truth to former ‘BBC Breakfast’ presenter Susanna Reid before they went live.
The presenter – who left ‘BBC Breakfast’ in October 2019 to join Channel 4 – shared: “Susanna Reid said ‘Good luck’ and I said ‘Thanks’. She said, ‘But you’ve done live TV before?’ I said, ‘No I haven’t’ and the director gasped in my ear.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Anton Du Beke hates being judged.
The 55-year-old ballroom dancer has starred as a judge on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ – but Anton still hates being told what to do and what not to do.
The dancer – who appears in the ITV show ‘Cooking with the Stars’ – shared: “I discovered that I hate being judged.
“I won’t lie to you, the judges really got on my nerves, getting all critical.”
Anton insists he doesn’t care what the judges think about his culinary skills.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “The dishes I have made have been really good, especially that pork dish which looked terrific and tasted amazing. What the judges thought about my process bothers me not a jot. I’d rather they didn’t tell me what they thought about it.
“That was my biggest problem. I realised I really couldn’t give less of a s*** about what the judges thought.”
Anton is proud of his efforts in the kitchen and he’s ultimately hopeful of winning the show.
He said: “I might be singing away or dancing around the kitchen, but that’s just the way I do stuff. I’m absolutely in it to win it. I wouldn’t have entered unless I thought I could.”
Anton joined ‘Strictly’ in 2004, but he’s never won the competition during all the on the show.
Asked if winning ‘Cooking with the Stars’ would make up for missing out on the Glitterball Trophy, he replied: “I never won it and it is a regret. The one I’m now hoping for is the National Television Award, for best judge. That’s the one I really want. If I won that I’d be the happiest bunny in town.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Attwood thinks the concept of feminism has become “warped”.
The former ‘Love Island’ star believes feminism is about “having your own power” and respecting the choices of other women.
Olivia, 31, told The Sun newspaper: “If that’s being on OnlyFans, or being a grid girl, or being a girl at the docks, I don’t think it’s for someone else to say, ‘That is not feminism’.
“I think that it’s gone a little bit warped now.
“We’ve gone from men telling us what to do, to now certain groups of women telling other women what they should and shouldn’t be doing.
“If it makes you feel good and you’re not hurting anyone and yourself, all the power to you.”
Olivia – who explores OnlyFans in her ‘Getting Filthy Rich’ documentary – thinks lots of people have an inaccurate “preconceived notion” about the women posting on the app.
She said: “I think it’s really easy to have a preconceived notion about these girls that they are just promiscuous.
“Why are we so concerned about the girls? Why is something like cheerleading sexualised?”
Olivia also suggested that some of the criticism is being misdirected.
The blonde beauty explained that the people who pay for the service have turned it into a viable career.
Olivia said: “Why is it the cheerleader’s problem that you can’t deal with a girl in a skirt?
“Look at who’s making OnlyFans an industry. It’s the people who pay for it.”
Meanwhile, Olivia admits that making the documentary has been “a huge responsibility”.
She told Radio Times.com: “I think obviously, coming from reality TV background, it’s very easy to be pigeonholed. And I actually had no problem being in that pigeonhole because I love reality TV, and I continue to make more reality TV and be a part of that side of my work.
“But I thought, ‘I think I can be quite articulate. I think I can get people to open up to me.’ It’s just getting the opportunity and obviously I’ve been working with ITV for five years now and to put that trust in me to give this a go when it’s obviously not my trained profession was a huge responsibility. And I hopefully I did it justice.”
