Love Island’s Jacques apologises to Paige after branding her ‘pathetic’

OHMYGOSSIP — Love Island’s Jacques O’Neill apologises to Paige Thorne in Wednesday night’s (29.06.22) episode after branding her “pathetic”.
The 23-year-old rugby league player inadvertently upset the 24-year-old paramedic on last night’s (28.06.22) episode during the striptease challenge when his heart rate increased the most as fellow Islander and his ex-girlfriend Gemma Owen performed her saucy dance.
After overreacting to Paige’s disappointment, Jacques pulls her for a chat tonight to say sorry.
He says: “When you actually opened up and told me why, I was like, ‘OK, I apologise.’ I should’ve had your feelings first before mine.
“I’d love to prove to you how much you mean to me.”
Jacques also says in the Beach Hut: “Last night with Paige, I was quite selfish at first- I realised that pretty quick when I spoke to her.
“I should’ve been there for her straight away.”
It comes after Paige had told Jacques she was concerned that his heart rate increased the most for the 19-year-old international dressage rider – who he dated for eight months, until the relationship ended in 2021 – out of all of the girls, because they have romantic history.
But it’s not just Jacques who is feeling he needs to do something to make up for the striptease challenge.
On Wednesday night’s episode, Dami Hope, 26, and Andrew Le Page, 27, both make homemade breakfasts for their respective partners, Indiyah Polack, 23, and Tasha Ghouri, 23.
Indiyah says: “My heart is racing for this pancake, you deffo made up, you deffo made up for yourselves.”
‘Love Island’ continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.

Love Island’s Antigoni and Danica to do battle for Jay

OHMYGOSSIP — Antigoni Buxton and Danica Taylor look set to battle it out for Jay Younger in Wednesday night’s (29.06.22) ‘Love Island’.
The girls have the power to pick who they want to pair up with in tonight’s recoupling, and the 26-year-old singer-songwriter and the 21-year-old dancer both signal their intentions to get to know 28-year-old Jay more before they chose.
Antigoni tells the girls: “With Davide, I’m super comfortable – we really get along. Whatever it ended up being, it would be authentic.
“With Jay there was an initial attraction there but obviously I came in as this whole saga with Paige was unravelling and now he’s turned round in the last few days and is like I want to get to know you on a more romantic level.
“Part of me would like to get to know Jay still.”
Danica pulls the investment analyst for a chat, and admits she is “considering” him.
She tells him: “If I’m honest, you were in my top three when I first came in, looks wise, so it’s not like I’d be completely closed off to being in a couple with yourself.
“I think it’s important for me to let you know that you’re somebody that I would consider.”
Elsewhere, Ekin-Su Culculoglu is also left pondering who to pick, as she wonders whether it is worth going back in for Davide Sanclimenti, 27, who she was previously coupled up with.
Speaking to Gemma Owen, 19, about him, she asks: “Do you think he is interested in me?”
Gemma says: “I think he is but it will be a longer process, there still definitely is chemistry. Everyone can see it.”
Later in the Beach Hut, actress Ekin-Su, 27, says: “I have these three boys in front of me, all of them have given me something great.
“Charlie is amazing, I’m myself with him- everything flows, nothing is forced. Jay obviously there’s a very big sexual chemistry with him, then you have Davide who we did start something … what do I do?”
‘Love Island’ continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.

Brooke Kinsella gives birth and names son after late brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Brooke Kinsella has given birth to a baby boy and named him after her late brother Ben Kinsella.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star took to Instagram to announce the arrival of her and husband Simon Boardley’s little one following his birth on Wednesday (29.06.22), the 14th anniversary of her late sibling’s death.
She wrote: “Ben Ross Boardley 29/06/22
A perfect miracle given to us on a day when so much was taken away.
Named after the very best of men. He will do them so proud, I know it already.”
Brooke’s brother Ben was just 16 when he was killed in an unprovoked attack in London in 2008, in which he was stabbed 11 times in five seconds.
Following Ben’s passing, Brooke – who portrayed Kelly Taylor in the BBC One soap from 2001 to 2004 – has dedicated her life to campaigning against knife crime.
Brooke and Simon – who married in 2017 – welcomed their first child, Elsie, into the world in September 2020.
A few months later, the star admitted she finds it “heart-breaking” that her daughter will never get the chance to meet her late brother.
She said: “It’s a double-edged sword. Being Elsie’s mum is everything I’ve ever wanted, but on the other hand I can’t help but think about everyone who isn’t here to meet her.
“For me, the main person missing out is Ben. Obviously I love Elsie more than anything and having loved Ben so much as well it’s heart-breaking to know the two of them will never get the chance to meet.”

Ghostbusters: Afterlife gets December 2023 release date

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ sequel is set to be released on December 20, 2023.
Following the success of the latest film in the iconic supernatural comedy series, Jason Reitman is helming a follow-up that will be released close to Christmas next year.
Reitman recently teased that the code name for the film is ‘Firehouse’ and that it will return to base in New York.
The filmmaker said: “At the end of ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’, the Ecto-1 is driving into Manhattan, returning to its home.
“And before anyone ever heard the title ‘Afterlife’, we called it ‘Rust City’. Which would not have made sense to anyone until they saw the movie. The code name for the next movie is ‘Firehouse’.”
‘Afterlife’ was released last year and made a whopping $200 million at the global box office.
It’s not known if original stars such as Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd and newcomers Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace will return for the flick.
In November, Reitman and co-writer Gil Kenan signed a producing deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment.
The duo impressed studio bosses and landed a deal to make more films in the future.
In a statement, Sanford Panitch – Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group president – said: “Jason is the thing you dream about: a world-class, signature storyteller, visionary filmmaker, and dream producing partner.
“Jason and Gil as co-writing partners have a remarkable understanding of commercial quality cinema, and we are thrilled about the upcoming pipeline from these guys.”
In a joint statement, Reitman and Kenan spoke of their excitement and pride as they push on with Sony.
They added: “We’re excited to have evolved our storytelling partnership into a full-fledged production company and couldn’t be more proud to have a home at Sony Pictures, the studio most committed to the theatrical movie going experience.”
Reitman – whose father Ivan Reitman directed the first two ‘Ghostbusters’ movies – admitted he previously “shied away” from jumping into the franchise.
He said: “My dad had always hinted about me directing a ‘Ghostbusters’ movie, but I shied away from it, the way young people shy away from their own parents’ legacy. I think I had to learn how to stand on my own feet.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Cameron Diaz is coming out of acting retirement to star in her first film role for eight years.
The 49-year-old star has joined the cast of Netflix action-comedy ‘Back in Action’ alongside Jamie Foxx, who confirmed the news by sharing the audio from a phone call he had with the actress.
Diaz wrote on her Instagram Stories: “Jamie Foxx, only you could get me back in action!!! I can’t frickin wait it’s gonna be a blast!”
During the call, Foxx – who worked with Diaz on 1999 motion picture ‘Any Given Sunday’ and 2014’s ‘Annie’, which was her last movie role – brought in American football legend Tom Brady to give the star some tips on how to “un-retire”, after he quit the NFL earlier this year before backtracking on his decision six weeks later.
Brady said: “I was talking to Jamie and he said you need a few tips on how to un-retire.
“I’m relatively successful at un-retiring.”
Diaz replied: “Haha. Honestly … exactly what I needed.”
Foxx then said: “Well guys, I’m gonna jump off and let you guys chat it up.”
Brady added: “Perfect, we’ll take it from here.”

Love Island’s Ekin-Su shocks Islanders as she couples up with Davide

OHMYGOSSIP — Love Island’s Ekin-Su Culculoglu shocked her fellow Islanders as she coupled up with Davide Sanclimenti once again on the show.
The 27-year-old actress and the 27-year-old business owner were coupled up earlier in the series but it ended in a huge bust up when he slammed her as a “liar”, but Ekin-Su admitted on Wednesday night’s (29.06.22) episode that she wanted to give the star “a chance”.
During the recoupling, she said: “Firstly this is going to be one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make.
“I didn’t know whether to play it safe or take a risk. I personally would like to give this person a chance and I’m hoping he would too.
“So the boy I want to couple up with is Davide.”
She then went to sit next to Davide, and he said: “Nice speech.”
Ekin-Su was previously deliberating over whether to choose Davide, newcomer Charlie Radnedge, or to stick with Jay Younger.
After she chose Davide, Charlie, 28, and Jay, 28, were remaining with Antigoni Buxton, 26, and Danica Taylor, 21, left to pick.
Earlier in the episode, dancer Danica had pulled Jay for a chat to see if he was interested, but he made it clear he would prefer to get to know Antigoni.
However, during the recoupling Danica was allowed to pick first and chose Jay.
Antigoni – who was left to pick Charlie – mouthed: “I can’t believe this s***.”
She later spoke to some of the girls and fumed: “I just don’t get it. Danica and Jay have no connection.”
Dami Hope, 26, told Jay he thought he had “closed the door” on a possible romance with Danica, and he replied: “I thought I closed the door, I thought it was a sure thing. I couldn’t have closed it any more.
“I think I said to her, ‘The door’s closed. Don’t pick me.’ ”
Danica later said: “If I genuinely knew, hands down, that Jay and Antigoni could possibly have something then I’m not saying it would have swayed what I was going to do but it might have been like, ‘Oh f***.’ ”
Earlier in the episode, Antigoni and Danica had both signalled their interests in Jay.
Antigoni told the girls: “With Davide, I’m super comfortable – we really get along. Whatever it ended up being, it would be authentic.
“With Jay there was an initial attraction there but obviously I came in as this whole saga with Paige was unravelling and now he’s turned round in the last few days and is like I want to get to know you on a more romantic level.

Eamonn Holmes wants to know why he was axed from This Morning

OHMYGOSSIP — Eamonn Holmes wants to know why he was axed from ‘This Morning’.
The 62-year-old broadcaster fronted the ITV brunch-time TV show with his wife Ruth Langsford from 2006 until 2022 and while he claims the version of events ITV tells is that he “left them to go to GB News” – which ITV denies – he has now accused the channel of “putting out all the lies they want”.
He said: “The department of disinformation at ITV can put out all the lies they want. I wish somebody would show me the email or the letter that I was sent to say, ‘Eamonn, this is why this is coming to an end’. But to tell lies, that I left them to go to GB News … I didn’t – they left me. Let’s get it straight. They left me. I don’t care, because our audience is only up.”
Former ‘X Factor’ presenter Dermot O’Leary and ex-‘Big Brother’ star Alison Hammond took over the show’s Friday slot while Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield remain as regular presenters on Mondays to Thursdays.
Eamonn added that while TV companies are at liberty to do as they please, it has “surprised” him who has been kept.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “You have no right to be there. TV companies can do whatever they want with you. It’s just, sometimes it surprises you, the ones they hold on to.”
A spokesperson for ITV said: “This isn’t a version of events that we recognise, and as we have said before we wish Eamonn all of the very best.”
The former ‘Sunrise’ presenter – who has son Jack, 20, with Ruth and as well as Declan, 33, Rebecca, 31, and Niall, 29, from his first marriage to Gabrielle – added that it is “too sensitive” for him to watch ‘This Morning’ these days.
But he paid tribute to his “phenomenally successful” wife Ruth – who continues to present ‘Loose Women’ on a regular basis – and claimed that it is like “being married to Victoria Beckham” after she embarked on a fashion career.
He said: “Ruth is now phenomenally successful as a fashion designer for QVC. She is the second-highest selling clothing brand on QVC internationally. She spends her time agonising over detail and plans and designs – it must be like being married to Victoria Beckham, you know? It’s all-consuming really.”

The 29-year-old actor and Kathryn, 25, with both feature in the upcoming film, which tells the story of a teenage girl who accidentally re-animates the corpse of a handsome young man and then rebuilds him in the way she wants, Deadline reports.
The film has been inspired by the original Frankenstein story written by Mary Shelley.

The writer is also producing the movie alongside Mason Novick of MXN Entertainment, after they previously worked together on ‘Juno’, ‘Tully’ and ‘Jennifer’s Body’.
So far, the team behind the film have remained tight-lipped about specific plot details and a release date has not yet been announced.

The actor is perhaps best known for playing Jughead Jones in the hit TV series, but he new feels ready to move on to a new phase in his career.
Speaking about his experience on ‘Riverdale’, he shared: “I’m not a creative force behind [‘Riverdale’]. I actually have no creative control.
“We show up, receive the scripts often the day of, and we’re asked to shoot.”
Cole and his brother Dylan Sprouse both started acting at an early age. But their careers were initially driven by a need to “put food on the table”.
Cole said: “There’s two kinds of kids that start acting in the industry. There’s the kids that choose it and there’s kids like my brother and I, who had to put food on the table of a single mother.”

Samia Longchambon imparts ‘wisdom’ on younger Corrie co-stars after becoming soap’s ‘old guard’

OHMYGOSSIP — Samia Longchambon gives her ‘Coronation Street’ co-stars advice about how to start a pension after becoming one of the show’s “old guard”.
The 39-year-old actress feels “so old” when she goes into the ITV soap’s green room after playing Maria Connor since 2000, but she has been imparting some “wisdom” given to her by legendary, late cobbles actor Bill Tarmey (Jack Duckworth) on some of the younger cast members, including Millie Gibson (Kelly Neelan).
She said: “We feel like the older guard now in the green room. We’ve got all of our young, gorgeous new cast.
“When us old timers go in we’re like, ‘Oh my God we feel so old.’
“Me and Mikey [North, Gary Windass], the other week, we were giving Millie Gibson some advice about how to start a pension because Bill Tarmey gave me and Alan [Halsall, Tyrone Dobbs] that advice when I joined.
“So, we were like, ‘We need to pass this wisdom onto you.’ So now she’s got her pension sorted.”
Samia turns 40 next month, but the star admits she doesn’t feel ready to hit the milestone because life is “going too fast”.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, she added: “I was saying to my friend last night, we don’t mind getting older but it’s the fact our lives have gone so fast.
“I’m not ready to be 40, because life’s going too fast.”
Samia recently admitted she used her own experiences with vile trolls to inspire her latest ‘Coronation Street’ storyline.
She said: “I’ve had trolls to the point it’s been really upsetting. It ends up affecting you mental health …
“Those people would never say that to your face. You’re such an easy target on social media.”

Sharon Gaffka poses in Pride lingerie and questions Love Island’s lack of diversity

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharon Gaffka has questioned ‘Love Island’ over a lack of LGBTQ representation.
The civil servant and reality star took to Instagram to express her feelings about the subject, and she also posed in her back garden in Oxfordshire in multiple colours of Bluebella Global Pride lingerie.
The 26-year-old influencer wrote: “London Pride is this Saturday and I’m wearing the @bluebella Pride Lingerie collection – while I complete all the “male” jobs of the house
“I’ve been quite vocal about how I think it’s about time that Love Island features LGBTQ contestants. As someone who came out on the show about my bisexuality, I’d welcome this wholeheartedly.
“Love Island’s ITV producers stress that same-sex relationship present a “logistical difficulty”, but surely there could be a way around this if there were more bisexual contestants in the villa. Production always have a few extra people on standby to make sure there’s no shortage of couplings, so these difficulties are far from insurmountable. (sic)”
Sharon, who was an islander on series seven, says her openness has been “beneficial to many” after she was inundated with messages after she left the villa.
She added: “When I left the villa I saw that my DMs were filled with messages from young people who were unsure of how to approach being with the same gender for the first time or how to just “know” your sexuality. So I know my openness has been beneficial to many!
“Love Island has blessed me with opportunities and friendships that I will be forever grateful for, but I think the show can only benefit from greater LGBTQ representation as this reflects their audience as a whole.”
Sharon, wore five different sets of the Bluebella Global Pride collection in all the colours of the Pride flag, added: “10% of profits from the limited edition collection will be donated to @outrightintl and their incredible work for LGBTQ+ communities across the world.”
The new Bluebella Global Pride Collection includes some of London brand’s best-selling styles in all the vibrant colours of the Pride flag, and 10 per ent of profits from the collection will be donated to OutRight Action International, a human rights organisation supporting LGBTIQ people around the world.

Conchita Wurst wore female clothes to nursery school

OHMYGOSSIP — Conchita Wurst wore female clothes to nursery school.
The 33-year-old drag queen – who shot to fame when he won the ‘Eurovision Song Contest’ for Austria in 2014 – has opened up about his early years and joked he has been “out” as gay since he was six months old.
He said: “I think it was six months after my mother gave birth to me! There was just no question about it. I did come out officially to my parents when I was about 17 but it wasn’t a big surprise.
“I wore a female bodysuit to a workout class in kindergarten. I did that once.
“I was not prepared for the backlash. Every teenager has their struggles growing up and, of course, it is a whole different story when you are queer and your peers see that. Kids can be frightening and I did not dare go to the bathroom during lunch break. But I got more confident with my opinions and my look as I got older.”
The ‘Rise Like a Phoenix’ singer – whose real name is Thomas Neuwirth – identifies as a gay man and went on to explain why Pride Month is “so important”, noting that the world will be “much happier” if everyone was allowed to be themselves.
He told Metro’s Sixty Seconds column: “[Pride Month] important to raise awareness. Until the day we reach equality, there is a need to parade and march the streets, and stand up for our visibility and our place in society.
“To me, being proud is to do with oneself. If you know yourself and love yourself, you are a happy human being and you become at peace with the world and other people.”

Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace: I’m worried I will never be a mum

OHMYGOSSIP — Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace is worried she will never be a mum.
The 43-year-old reality star – who shot to fame as a contestant on ‘Big Brother’ in 2006 – has suffered several miscarriages and is “scared” that her chances of conceiving naturally are running out.
She said: “Unfortunately, as women, we’ve got a sell-by date on our ovaries, which is a scary thought. I’m really starting to panic that it’s just not going to happen for me.”
The star – who is currently single but previously dated the likes of comedian Jack Whitehall and boxer Mike Tyson – admitted she has always prioritised her career over the prospect of having children, and has found it difficult to “find the balance” between the two.
She told The Sun newspaper: “I always saw kids as part of my future but I was also very career-driven and that kind of took priority. Men can whip it out and still produce sperm whatever their age, but a woman’s clock is always ticking. And finding the balance between chasing your dreams and judging the right time to bring a child into the world is really tough. I look back and wonder if I should have done things differently. Should I have prioritised having a family? I don’t know. I just have to hope and pray that I’ve not left it too late to have my miracle baby.”
Aisleyne added that if she is unable to conceive naturally, she plans to either have a baby with her gay best friend or look into fostering.
She added: “My gay best friend has said that if all else fails we could have a baby together, and at least that would mean the child had that role model and knew who their father was for identity purposes.
“I’ve also thought about fostering and adoption because I know that there are a lot of children out there who need love.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Doctor Who’s TARDIS is getting a wheelchair ramp.
The BBC sci-fi series – which will see Ncuti Gatwa take over from Jodie Whittaker as the titular Time Lord in 2023 – will reportedly feature a wheelchair-accessible ramp on the iconic time machine to accommodate upcoming cast members.
A source said: “These modifications aren’t just a sign of changing times, they’re also down to some of the characters who’ll feature on the show. Returning to the cast for the specials – which are set to air next year with David Tennant alongside Catherine Tate – will be wheelchair user Bernard Cribbins as Wilfred Mott.”
The insider went on to tease that ‘Years and Years’ star Ruth Madeley – who uses a wheelchair – could also be joining the cast for the upcoming series.
The source told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “And there are rumours that disabled actress Ruth Madeley could also be joining the cast in the new shows after Jodie Whittaker has quit as the doctor.”

‘Sex Education’ star Ncuti – who will become the first black person to assume the Doctor role – previously described his casting as a “true honour” and promised fans he would “try to do [his] best” in the part.

Love Island’s Jess Hayes says stars were ‘so bored’ they smoked ’40 cigarettes a day’

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Love Island’ star Jess Hayes has lifted the lid on her time in the show, revealing contestants were “so bored” they smoked around 40 cigarettes a day.
The 29-year-old reality star found fame when she won the first ever series of the hit ITV2 dating show in 2015, and she has now reminisced on her time in the villa, claiming there wasn’t much to do apart from “smoke and gossip”.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: “They used to film us smoking, that used to be the gossip corner!
“That was the spot, wasn’t it? Everyone would have a fag. I swear to god, we were so bored in there we must have gone through about 40 a day, each. There were people in there smoking that had never even smoked [before], there was nothing else to do apart from smoke and gossip!”
Jess says the Islanders’ drinking was monitored and there was a “two drink” limit, with extras only allowed on occasions.
She added: “There were a few nights when we could have a little bit more, but it was weird – after two drinks you’d feel like you were drunk! I don’t know whether it was the sun or what, but we were allowed a little bit more when the boys did a night out or something.
“I remember throwing up, I was really ill, I remember that. No, the alcohol [limit] was still pretty low, it was still low.”
Jess also revealed that conversations at times were staged for dramatic effect.
She said: “If it was getting a bit dead, we’d be having a chat and they’d be like, ‘Can you do that chat, can you talk about this?’ Most of the time we were left to our own devices. We were allowed to do our own thing.”
