Adam Collard sets his sights on Paige, Danica and Ekin-Su

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Collard sets his sights on Paige Thorne when he returns to the ‘Love Island’ villa.
The 26-year-old bombshell – who romanced and dumped a number of girls during his original stint on the show in season four – has returned to stir up drama among the contestants and his first target is Paige, who has been going through a rough time with Jacques O’Neill since he strayed in Casa Amor.
After the boys leave the villa for a day out, Adam enters and says: “I think the villa needs spicing up and I’m the perfect man for the job.”
And Paige is impressed with the new contestant, saying: “I feel like he has a lot of potential, he is ticking a good few of my boxes,” before declaring in the Beach Hut: “He’s so fit. No I’m not going to lie, he is very fit.”
And Adam tells Paige: “When I’m with someone, I’m 100 per cent with them, I’ve never cheated on any ex-girlfriends or anything like that.”
However, Paige is not the only islander Adam is interested in, as he also cosies up to Danica Taylor, following her split from Josh Le Grove and Ekin-Su Sulculoglu, who is coupled up with Davide Sanclimenti.
Danica tells Adam: “You do fit somebody that is my type, somebody that I just look at and just think… you’re sexy.”
She later gushes in the Beach Hut: “Bloody Adam Collard… what the f***!”
Meanwhile, he tells Ekin-Su: “I’m not going to lie I find you super attractive and that’s why I came in and wanted to speak to you straight away.”
She points out: “But you picked Paige,” and he replies: “But I’ve got to speak to everyone haven’t I? Are you getting jealous already? I’ll step on toes if I want what I want.”

Two ‘Love Island’ contestants have reportedly quit villa after being ditched

OHMYGOSSIP — Two ‘Love Island’ contestants have reportedly left the villa after being dumped.
Sunday night’s instalment of the dating show saw the castmates surprised with a vote off.
Cheyanne Kerr, 23, Summer Botwe, 22, Dami Hope, 26 and Jay Younger, 28, were all left facing the chop after being told they were vulnerable.
It is still unclear if a couple will go, or if the islanders pick two contestants to save on tonight’s episode.
But The Sun is reporting the dumped islanders have left and are heading home from Majorca.
Meanwhile, Adam Collard’s shock return to the villa is being slammed by Women’s Aid.
He will be the first ex-islander to rejoin the show and has already flirted with a trio of girls.
The controversial 26-year-old caused havoc when he first entered the show in 2018 and was accused of gaslighting.
At the time, domestic abuse charity Women’s Aid released a statement about the personal trainers’ treatment of law student Rosie Williams, 26, declaring there were “warning signs in his behaviour”.
ITV2’s decision to again allow him into the villa has prompted more concern from both viewers who are recalling on social media his attitude during his first appearance.
In a statement, Women’s Aid’s Teresa Parker told The Sun: “In the 2018 series of Love Island, we saw Rosie rightly call out Adam for his unacceptable behaviour, which included gaslighting and emotional abuse.
“We hope that ITV recognise how serious this issue is and that it must be learned from, considering they have asked Adam to return to the show.
“Love Island is watched by many young people and we know what a huge influence it has.
“Producers must make sure there is support for contestants throughout, and intervene if relationships become unhealthy or abusive”.
Adam left the villa with Zara McDermott, 24, now a documentary presenter for BBC Three, and the pair dated for eight months before they broke up.
His return comes after a dramatic episode saw Tasha Ghouri, 23, break down in tears over her love triangle with Andrew Le Page, 27, and 23-year-old Billy Brown.
‘Love Island’ airs at 9pm weekdays and Sundays on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.

Jay Younger and Chyna Mills axed from ‘Love Island’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jay Younger and Chyna Mills have been axed from ‘Love Island’.
The pair were ditched after their co-stars chose to save Dami Hope, 26, and 22-year-old Summer Botwe, who he met at Casa Amor.
But Dami said on Monday night’s (11.07.22) show he was no longer interested and was determined to get back together with 23-year-old Indiyah Polack from the original villa.
Gemma Owen, 19, delivered the verdict, saying: “The couple we’ve decided to save is Summer and Dami.”
Jay, 28, said after he was rejected he felt like it was “my time” to leave the villa.
He added about his romance with 27-year-old contestant Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu: “Ekin is obviously a beautiful lady, a very strong lady. I just thought she had a bit of a wild side to her and I thought, I’m here to have fun.
“She’s a really attractive girl, I got on well with her the best on our dates. I seemed to click with her instantly so I just thought, why not?”
When asked about his feelings about Ekin-Su and Davide Sanclimenti, 27, being back together, he added: “Genuinely I’m so happy for them both. I see that Davide deep down really, really likes Ekin-Su. In a weird way, I think me not being there will allow Davide to actually trust her more. I feel like I was representing the past for them.
“Davide and I are good mates but he couldn’t fully invest with Ekin-Su, because he was like, I won’t forget what you did with Jay maybe.”
Jay’s fellow axed castmate Chyna, 23, said about leaving the show: “It’s a bit bittersweet because my time was cut short. But, I think they definitely made the right decision… as soon as I walked in, I thought, ‘S***. Everyone is fit! Where do I start?’ I knew I needed to speak to everyone and see where their heads were at.”
Summing up her ‘Love Island’ experience, she added: “Short but sweet. I don’t think I’d change anything because throughout Casa and going into the main Villa, I was true to myself. For me, coming into ‘Love Island’, I knew I had to go with my gut and what feels right.”

Oti Mabuse’s show Romeo and Duet cancelled by ITV

OHMYGOSSIP — Oti Mabuse’s dating show ‘Romeo and Duet’ has been cancelled after one series.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star – who serves as a judge on ‘Dancing On Ice’ and ‘The Masked Dancer’ – made her solo presenting debut with the ITV programme earlier this year, which saw singletons trying to serenade potential partners.
However, an ITV spokesman told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “We have no plans for future series of ‘Roman and Duet’ at present.
“But we look forward to working with Oti again on ‘The Masked Dancer’ later this year and are actively discussing other projects going forward.”
It’s said the decision to axe the show “isn’t a reflection on Oti in an way”, and ITV bosses are still keen to find the right project for her.
A source said: “The feeling was that it wasn’t a case of Oti not being right for the show, more than the show wasn’t right for Oti.
“So many of our biggest hosts have had to suffer a few bumps in the road at the start of their career, and that’s how this is viewed by execs.
“They’re confident that this isn’t a reflection on Oti in any way and she’s still a figure who is much loved by the public.”
It was previously reported the decision was being made due to a slump in ratings, which were said to have bottomed out at 890,000 viewers for the last episode.
Meanwhile, it seems the 31-year-old professional dancer – who quit ‘Strictly’ earlier this year after seven years – could be open to a return and she isn’t ruling out a ballroom comeback one day.
She recently said: “‘Strictly’ has been everything to me and has given me this amazing platform that I have. No, I’m not done – it still has a place in my heart.”

TOWIE cast rally around Yazmin Oukhellou following horror crash

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Only Way is Essex’ cast has rallied around Yazmin Oukhellou after she was hospitalised following a horror crash that killed Jake McLean.
The 28-year-old reality star suffered “extremely serious” damage to her arms following the incident, which occurred when Jake, 33, reportedly lost control of the vehicle he was driving in Bodrum – a port city in southwest Turkey – and careered off a cliff.
Yazmin is said to be stable after undergoing surgery for her injuries, and her co-stars on the ITVBe show have thrown their arms around her and “just want her home”.
A source told OK!: “The whole ‘TOWIE’ cast are in disbelief. Yaz was meant to be coming back to the show. The cast are sending their support and they will be around her when she’s home. They just want her home. You never expect something like this to happen. It just makes you realise you never know what is going to happen in life.”
Another told the publication: “All of her closest friends and family are there for her. It’s a hard time. At the moment, she’s not speaking to many people as she’s very unwell.
“Although the ‘TOWIE’ lot bicker and fall out a lot of the time, when something serious like this happens, they are all really tight and come together.”
A source had told The Sun last week: “We’re crossing our fingers and praying she makes a full recovery quickly. It’s beyond shocking, just devastating for everyone connected to the show.
“Jake and Yaz are both very well known in our circles, and while he wasn’t a saint this is just unbelievably tragic. Everyone is stunned.”
Another show source added: ““Nobody is quite sure what they were doing out there — we thought they’d split up — but apparently he was involved in some sort of business deal.
“But whatever’s gone on, this is just heart-breaking. We hope to get a proper update on how she is soon. But it sounds very, very serious — perhaps life-changing.”
Yazmin’s mother Lisa flew to Turkey to be by her side in hospital.
An insider said: “Lisa is in absolute bits. She can’t speak to anyone. She is just so focused on getting out to Turkey to be by her little girl’s bedside in hospital. She is booked on the first flight she could get. She will go directly to the hospital from the airport.
“It is any mum’s worst nightmare and we are all just praying that Yazmin makes it through and is able to recover from her injuries.”
Yazmin and Jake had been in an on-off relationship since May last year, after she broke off her long-term relationship with fellow ‘TOWIE’ cast member James Lock.
She ended her romance with Jake in January after she found out he had grown close to former ‘Love Island’ contestant Ellie Jones on a night out.
It is unknown when the pair got back together.

Sam Taylor-Johnson will direct Amy Winehouse biopic

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Taylor-Johnson will direct Amy Winehouse biopic ‘Back to Black’.
The ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ filmmaker will be at the helm for the Studiocanal movie, which has been written by Taylor-Johnson’s ‘Nowhere Boy’ collaborator Matt Greenhalgh.
As reported by Variety, the director – who was close friends with Amy before her tragic death aged 27 in 2011 – wants a relative newcomer to play the late singer.
It’s said the movie has the full support of her father Mitch Winehouse, who participated in BBC’s 2021 documentary ‘Reclaiming Amy’ to mark 10 years since her death.
Studiocanal will produce with Alison Owen and Debra Hayward alongside Tracey Seaward.
Owen and Hayward have been attached to a biopic about Amy’s life for years now, with the Winehouse estate first penning a deal for the film in 2018.
An earlier script was originally written by ‘Kinky Boots’ scribe Geoff Deane, but now Greenhalgh – who wrote ‘Control’ about late Joy Division singer Ian Curtis – is on board.
Four years ago, Mitch dismissed the idea of Lady Gaga signing on to play his late daughter, and he admitted he would be happy for an “unknown” actress to take on the role, while he wants the portrayal to be honest.
He previously said: “I wouldn’t mind betting it would be an unknown, young, English — London, cockney — actress who looks a bit like Amy.
“What we want is somebody to portray Amy in the way that she was…the funny, brilliant, charming and horrible person that she was.
“There’s no point really me making the film because I’m her dad. But to get the right people to do it, that’s very important, and we will.”
Before her death, Amy – best known for hits like ‘Rehab’, ‘You Know I’m No Good’ and her rendition of The Zutons’ ‘Valerie’ – released albums ‘Frank’ and ‘Back To Black’, with the latter earning her six Grammy Awards.

Taika Waititi reveals if he’ll helm Thor 5

OHMYGOSSIP — Taika Waititi would only direct ‘Thor 5’ if Chris Hemsworth returns to the role and the script is “unexpected”.
‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ has just hit cinemas and the New Zealand filmmaker has insisted he would return to helm another instalment in the blockbuster Marvel franchise if Hemsworth agrees to reprise his titular role as the superhero.
However, the story would have to excite him and he even suggested a Thor road trip movie.
He told Insider: “Now, I don’t know what would be next. I would definitely do one, but only if Chris did it.
“But it would need to be something surprising and unexpected for me to want to do it. Like what would be the new take? The battles and all the fighting is fine, but I would want something that feels unexpected when it comes to the story. Like making just a $5 million movie with no fighting at all, just Thor on a road trip. Like [Alexander Payne’s 2013 film] ‘Nebraska’.”
Fortunately, Hemsworth is keen to continue playing the God of Thunder until he’s booted out.
He recently said: “I’ll do it until someone says get off the stage.
“I love [playing Thor].”
Waititi has also admitted he was surprised by the post-credits in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ that teased “Thor will return”.
He said: “That was a surprise to me, too. I’m not joking.
“I saw it in the theatre and I was like, ‘Oh, s***. Really?’ Even Chris was like, ‘What?’ But, of course he’ll be back. He’s the best character. I mean, I may be a little biased, but he’s the most fun to watch.”

Matt Lucas opens up about ‘toxic’ show

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Lucas worked on a show where he hated the “toxic” cast.
The 48-year-old comedian admitted he doesn’t love every show he works on and one was so bad that he even had a countdown chart to tick off the days until he could finish up.
According to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: “I do take jobs and not enjoy them. They were jobs I thought I would enjoy but maybe they weren’t that much fun. You only need a couple that are not good people and you can have a terrible terrible vibe.
“I did one show where there were two or three not good people in it. The vibe was toxic.
“People didn’t know but hidden away on the set I’d put a chart and I would tick off the shows as they counted down.
“No one knew it was there except the sound person. He hated it as well because of the behaviour of a few people.
“It was our ritual before each show.
“There was a celebration that there was one less show to do. That is a real shame when you are in that situation.”
Matt, who has starred in a number of programmes including ‘Little Britain’, ‘Shooting Stars’, ‘Come Fly With Me’, ‘Pompidou’ and ‘Doctor Who’ did not name the toxic show.

Sam Bailey backs X Factor return: The show changed my life for the better!

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Bailey hopes ‘The X Factor’ can return to TV because the show changed her life.
The former prison officer won Simon Cowell’s talent competition back in 2013 and went on to forge a successful singing career – and although the show has been been off-air for five years, Sam is adamant she’d be thrilled to see it come back so others can enjoy the experience.
She told Closer magazine: “‘The X Factor’ really does change people’s lives. I only went on the show to see what would happen, and now I’m living my dream. I had a really good experience … I’ll always fly the flag for ‘The X Factor’ because it has changed my life.”
However, Sam is convinced show bosses need to come up with an innovative new format to revive ‘The X Factor’.
She added: “I do believe a new series could do with a little bit of a shake up. Singer/songwriters are huge at the moment, so I would make that a themed week on the show, so they could write a track and perform it. It would be great to give people the chance to download those original songs too, so it could kickstart some more careers.”
‘The X Factor’ ran from 2004 until 2018 with a variety of judges overseeing wannabes as they battled it out for a coveted record contract.
The show was dropped from ITV amid falling ratings, but recent reports have suggested Simon is keen to revive it.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It has been decided that the time is right to bring X Factor back. It’s really exciting.
“Everyone who will be working on the new series can’t wait to get started … The focus will all be on the competition element of the show, rather than the razzle dazzle.”

Joe Russo already thinking about sequels to The Gray Man

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Russo is already thinking about making a sequel to ‘The Gray Man’.
The 50-year-old director and his brother Anthony have helmed the big-budget Netflix spy movie – which features a starry cast that includes Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling and Rege-Jean Page – and has a “voracious” appetite to create a series to rival James Bond.
Joe is quoted by the Daily Mail newspaper as saying: “We’re already thinking through where it goes from here. We like to build out worlds.
“The focus is to make ‘Gray Man 2’. Our appetite is voracious and the intention is always to do more than we can.”
The movie is set to be released next week and features Evans as the psychopathic Lloyd Hansen as he plays a cat and mouse game with the CIA mercenary Sierra Six (Gosling).
Rege, who stars as CIA boss Denny Carmichael, says that the flick has everything that audiences could possibly want.
The ‘Bridgerton’ actor said: “It’s a global travel adventure, but with spies, explosions, guns, falling out of airplanes… there’s nothing that isn’t in this movie.”
Ryan agreed with his co-star’s assessment and suggested that the project is the kind of film that inspired him to get into acting.
He said: “I’m really excited for audiences to see this film because, personally, it’s the kind of film that I would have loved, growing up. It’s the kind of film that made me want to make movies.”
Evans has worked with the Russo brothers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and says being on the set of ‘The Gray Man’ didn’t feel like a job.
The 41-year-old actor said: “I love the Russos! They set the tone and they really know how to put a good team together. It’s tough to call it a job… that’s how good it felt.”

Georgia Harrison backs calls for Love Island all stars show

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia Harrison wants ITV to make an all stars version of ‘Love Island’.
The former PA from Essex, England, was among the contestants on the 2017 series of the hit dating show, and she’s keen for producers to bring some of the most memorable and popular islanders back to the villa to give them another shot at finding love.
In her column for Closer magazine, Georgia insisted an all stars show would be a great way to help her find a relationship as well as the other former contestants who are still single.
She wrote: “I’m still single five years after I was on the show and if I got the opportunity, I’d go back in a heart beat.
“There was talk of an all stars version – how incredible would that be? They should bring us back and give us another shot at love.”
However, Georgia fears it will never happen because so many of the former Islanders have become friends since leaving the villa.
She added: “It would cause chaos, however, because former Islanders from different runs are pals now – for example I’m really good friends with Kaz Crossley, who was in the series after me. I think it would be amazing though. I may get in touch with ITV to see if it could happen.”
Georgia may have to wait some time though as Love Island executive producer Mike Spencer recently admitted they aren’t ready for an all stars version just yet.
He said: “All stars isn’t happening, it hasn’t been commissioned. I don’t think we’d do that because the main show is still so popular.”
Mike did admit there is more chance of an international all stars show being commissioned in the future.
He added: “But if we did (make the show) maybe an international all stars with contestants from around the world would be good.”
‘Love Island’ has become a huge success around the world with versions running in the US and Australia as well as Germany, Italy, South Africa and Sweden.

Taron Egerton: Rocketman helped me evolve

OHMYGOSSIP — Taron Egerton has revealed that ‘Rocketman’ inspired him to evolve in his career.
The 32-year-old star portrayed the music legend Sir Elton John in the biopic and explained how working closely with director Dexter Fletcher encouraged him to look behind the camera for future projects.
In an interview with Screen Rant, Taron explained: “When (I did) ‘Rocketman’, because of the musical elements of it, I had been involved with lots of elements of the storytelling that weren’t just about the acting.
“I had a close relationship with the director – it wasn’t our first project – so I’d been popping into the edit to see how things were going. And I’d enjoyed those conversations; I’d enjoyed being in the studio and learning about how the music was going to fit into the film and all the rest of it.”
The ‘Kingsman’ actor continued: “By the time this came around, I knew that I was interested in filmmaking conversations as well as acting ones. So, I just asked them if I could be a producer, and if they would welcome my input in that way. And they, very surprisingly and kindly, said yes. That’s how it happened to me.”
Meanwhile, Taron has revealed that he held talks with Marvel President Kevin Feige about taking over the role of Wolverine from Hugh Jackman but is nervous about taking on the iconic character.
He told The New York Times newspaper: “I’d be excited but I’d be apprehensive as well, because Hugh is so associated with the role that I’d wonder if it’d be very difficult for someone else to do it. It’s early days. But hopefully if it does come around, they’ll give me a shot.”

Declan Donnelly’s brother Father Dermott Donnelly dies aged 55

OHMYGOSSIP — Declan Donnelly’s brother has died at the age of 55.
The 46-year-old TV star raced to be by his sibling Father Dermott Donnelly’s side after he collapsed but the priest’s death was confirmed on Friday (08.07.22) by the Bishop of Hexham and Newcastle.
A statement said: “It is with great sadness that I inform you of the death of Fr Dermott Donnelly who died peacefully this afternoon in hospital.
“This has come as a great shock to all of us.
“Please pray for the repose of his soul and keep his family, especially his mother, in your prayers at this difficult time.
“Funeral arrangements will follow when finalised.”
An insider had earlier revealed how Dec – one half of the presenting duo Ant and Dec – had returned to the north east of England to join his family at Father Dermott’s bedside.
They told how the priest’s loved ones had been praying that he would “pull through” after becoming “extremely unwell” in hospital.
The source said: “Dec arrived with other family members. There are around 12 of them there at the hospital.”
Father Dermott conducted Dec’s wedding to Ali Astall in 2015 in front of a star-studded guest list, which included the star’s TV sidekick Ant McPartlin and presenter Dermot O’Leary.
The parish priest from County Durham was also recently pictured outside 10 Downing Street after being invited by Prime Minister Boris Johnson to join religious leaders to pray for peace in Ukraine.
Fr Donnelly said: “It was a real privilege to join Christian leaders from across many churches at Downing Street and to stand together in prayer, the silence was so profound.
“It was a moment when the power of vulnerability encountered the vulnerability of power. The best weapon we had was prayer.”

Love Island’s Tasha breaks down in tears after learning that Andrew cheated on her

OHMYGOSSIP — Tasha Ghouri broke down in tears when she heard that Andrew Le Page wanted to sleep with Coco Lodge on Friday’s (08.07.22) episode of ‘Love Island’.
The 23-year-old dancer is currently competing on the hit ITV2 dating show and while she had initially been paired up with Andrew, 27, the couple was forced to separate and test their love at Casa Amor.
Andrew recoupled with Coco recoupled with Billy Brown, but suggested she still wanted to see how things would turn out with Andrew until Coco revealed that she and Andrew had got physical.
Coco told Tasha: “There was a lot of touching, sucking, a lot of things were said. He said he wanted to f**k me… after sucking my t**s and saying he wanted to ruin me… sexual talk.”
Tasha – who had previously wanted to explore her relationship with Billy and had “hurt” Andrew by doing so – replied by realising that she had been out to be made a “villain” but that Andrew had in fact messed things up with his actions and claimed she was “done.”
She said: “It’s the fact that I have been made out to be the villain and bad person when he has done this that is so much worse. I don’t care anymore. Actions speak louder than words. He’s shown what he would be like in the outside world. He’s f**ked it. I’m done!”
On Thursday’s episode, Andre branded Tasha a “fake” after she
returned to the ‘Love Island’ villa with Billy.
Andrew then slammed the blonde beauty, likening her to “Pinocchio”.
He said: “She’s fake mate, and to be honest, good luck to you – she tells more lies than Pinocchio
Elsewhere in the episode, Paige Thorne had initially split from Jacques O’Neill for Casa Amor but the pair reunited, only for her to dump him again when she learned he had been kissing Cheyanne Kerr.
She told him: “I get Casa is a test, but it’s only a test if you want it to be a test and you only want tests if you feel like something is missing or if you feel like something’s not 100%. Why did you do it if you didn’t have any of those things with her [Cheyanne] or if you genuinely felt that way about me? Because it’s not adding up. I’m not sure you quite understand how!”
‘Love Island’ airs at 9pm weekdays and Sundays on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and
Virgin Media Player.
