Tasha is ‘planning’ on asking Andrew to be her boyfriend on Love Island

OHMYGOSSIP — Tasha is “planning” on asking Andrew to be her boyfriend on Thursday night’s (14.07.22) episode of ‘Love Island’.
The 23-year-old model revealed that she “made up a whole speech” to wow the 27-year-old on the next instalment of the ITV2 dating reality competition while roping in the rest of the villa into helping her plan, which involves leaving little notes all round the palatial holiday home in a romantic scavenger hunt.
Tasha told her fellow islanders: “I’ve been planning on making Andrew my boyfriend!”
She added: “I’ve made up a whole speech.”
Along with nervously awaiting Andrew’s answer, viewers can find out who new bombshell Adam – who competed on the show’s fourth season in 2018 – decided to couple up with.
In his speech about the mystery girl following Becky Hill’s energetic performance for the entire villa, the 26-year-old fitness guru said:”From the moment I came in here, she made me feel most welcome.”
“I absolutely adore her and I find myself always wanting to be around her. When I miss her the feeling is unbearable.”
“Every day, day by day we are always more and more sure about our future together.”
Adam also reads out a text – received by Ekin-su – which threatens some of the islanders to a dumping following the public’s vote.
After everyone gathered around the firepit, he said: “The public have been voting for their favourite girl and their favourite boy. Those with the fewest votes are at risk of being dumped from the Island tonight.”
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.

Rhod Gilbert stricken with cancer

OHMYGOSSIP — Rhod Gilbert is suffering cancer.
The comic said he is intending to “disappear for a while” after his diagnosis, which he added he “wouldn’t wish on anyone” – but joked he hoped to survive and create a stand-up routine about his illness.
‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ host Rhod, 53, did not disclose what form of cancer he is suffering when he announced the news on his Facebook page on Thursday evening (14.07.22), alongside a picture of him in a hospital bed wearing a blue facemask.
He said about getting treatment at a cancer centre, of which he is a patron, in his homeland of Wales: “So while I never imagined that I would be a patient here, I know better than anyone that I am in the best possible hands.
“The NHS care I’m receiving is incredible. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone… but who knows, maybe I’ll come out the other end with a new stand-up show and a 40 minute rant about orange squash.”
He also shared a picture of himself hill walking, adding: “As a proud patron of Velindre Cancer Centre, I’ve trekked the world, hosted chaotic quizzes and star-studded comedy nights.
“I’ve met and made friends with so many inspirational staff, patients and their families. It has been a huge part of my life for the last ten years.
“Thank you everyone for your support over the last few weeks and months (and years). I’ll be disappearing for a while and won’t be commenting further, at least not for now, whilst I focus on my recovery.”
Rhod’s collection of images with his message also showed him taking part in fundraising activities.

Channing Tatum replaces Chris Evans in Project Artemis

OHMYGOSSIP — Channing Tatum has replaced Chris Evans in ‘Project Artemis’.
The ‘Magic Mike’ actor has stepped in to star alongside Scarlett Johansson in Apple’s upcoming space race saga after the ‘Lightyear’ star was forced to exit the project due to scheduling conflicts with two of his other upcoming movies, ‘Pain Hustlers’ and ‘Big Red One’.
In addition, Greg Berlanti has been brought on board to direct the film after Jason Bateman amicably stepped down last month due to creative differences.
Jonathan Lia, who is producing through his These Pictures banner, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Greg Berlanti and Channing Tatum to Project Artemis. Greg’s passion for character and storytelling has driven his decades long career in film TV. We couldn’t be more excited for him to lead our team on this journey. We have been huge fans of Channing’s for a long time and are so honored to finally have the opportunity to work with him.”
Plot details for the movie – which Apple paid over $100 million to acquire – are being kept under wraps, other than it being set amid the 1960s space race.
In May, Channing revealed he is to star in a movie adaptation of his children’s book ‘The One And Only Sparkella’.
Dressed as a fairy, he announced on Instagram: “PRIME-TIME IS SHINE TIME!!! @sparkella is coming to life with a live-action movie! It will be adapted by @pamelaribon, who has written some of my favorite animated films.(sic)”
The film is being produced by MGM as part of Channing’s production company Free Association’s first-look deal with the studio, and does not yet have a release date.
An announcement confirmed the story will “take on the magic of Sparkella that sees a father and his daughter fall headlong into the infinitely surprising world of her imagination”.

Carol Vorderman ‘set for I’m A Celebrity all-stars series’

OHMYGOSSIP — Carol Vorderman looks set to return to ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ for the all-stars series.
The 61-year-old TV presenter took part in the 2016 series, in which ‘Gogglebox’ star Scarlett Moffatt beat comedian Joel Dommett to the jungle crown, and she looks set to head to South Africa this summer to film the spin-off, which will be broadcast next year.
A source said: “Carol was always top of producers’ wish list; in some ways she was the perfect campmate.
“She was funny, outspoken and intelligent and let’s just say she gave the younger girls a run for their money in the jungle shower.”
Signing up Carol for the spin-off series is said to be a “no brainer” by bosses.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: “Her flirtations with Joel were one of the big talking points of the series so signing up Carol for all-stars looks like a no brainer.”
Former royal butler Paul Burrell, 64, ex-‘You Are What You Eat’ presenter Gillian McKeith, 62, and pro boxer Amir Khan, 35, have also been linked to the series.
But one star who will not be heading to South Africa for the show is Christopher Biggins, who has ruled himself out of the programme.
The 73-year-old actor won the seventh season of the jungle-based reality show in 2007 but he insisted he won’t be signing up for the 2023 special because he doesn’t want to risk losing his crown.
He recently said: “I’m very wary of it because I don’t want to lose my title as King of the Jungle.”

Connie Nielsen joins Role Play cast

OHMYGOSSIP — Connie Nielsen is to star in ‘Role Play’.
The ‘Wonder Woman’ actress will appear alongside Kaley Cuoco, David Oyelowo and Bill Nighy in the Studiocanal thriller film.
According to Deadline, details about Nielsen’s role are as yet under wraps.
The movie, which will be directed by Thomas Vincent, revolves around a married couple whose lives are transformed when secrets are revealed about each other’s pasts.
Cuoco and Oyelowo will portray the married pair, and Nighy will take on the part of a mysterious stranger who enters their lives.
The film has been written by Seth Owen and Andrew Baldwin has also worked on the screenplay. Production is set to begin in Berlin next month.
Billy Bob Thornton was recently said to have been cast in the motion picture, but his role is not yet known.
Nielsen is best known for playing Hippolyta in DC movies ‘Wonder Woman’, ‘Justice League’, ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ and ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’.
She is also known for starring as Lucilla in 2000 epic movie ‘Gladiator’.
Nielsen previously recalled how she was left in “utter shock” after witnessing what Sir Ridley Scott had created with the film, which went on to win the Best Picture Academy Award.
She said: “I think my favourite memory was probably arriving at the fort in Malta.
“(Ridley Scott) was coming to meet me in the middle of the square, which was the foot of the reproduction of the Colosseum.
“He was just chomping on his cigar, as usual, and sort of grinning, looking absolutely happy in the middle of probably a giant clusterf***, but you wouldn’t even know it, and just showing what we were doing while I was obviously in total and utter shock at the gorgeousness of what he and his team had created.”

Love Island’s Adam and Paige couple up

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ stars Adam Collard and Paige Thorne coupled up during Thursday night’s (14.07.22) episode.
The 26-year-old personal trainer returned to the villa as a bombshell this week – after previously taking part in the ITV2 dating show in 2018, during which he dated Zara McDermott – and immediately set his sights on the 24-year-old paramedic.
Fortunately for Adam, Paige was left single later in the week after rugby player Jacques O’Neill, 23, departed the show because he wasn’t feeling himself.
In last night’s recoupling, Adam was allowed to pick first because he is the newcomer, and he chose to couple up with Paige.
Andrew Le Page, 27, recoupled with Tasha Ghouri, 23, after the pair both chose other partners following the show’s Casa Amor stage, and the model wasted no time in asking the real estate agent to be her boyfriend.
She left notes for him around the villa, which eventually led him to the fire pit, where she was waiting for him.
Tasha then read out an emotional speech, before concluding: “Andrew Edward Le Page, will you be my boyfriend?”
Andrew replied: “Yeah, of course I f****** will.”
What’s more, Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope reunited as a couple, and Billy Brown got together with Danica Taylor, Josh Samuel Le Grove with Summer Botwe, and Coco Lodge with Deji Adeniyi.
Gemma Owen and Luca Bish, and Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti remained in their couples.
But the episode ended on a tough note for six Islanders, who are now vulnerable.
One boy and one girl out of Tasha, Summer, Coco, and Andrew, Deji, and Josh and will be voted off the show tonight (15.07.22).
‘Love Island’ airs at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.

Samara Weaving and Tony Revolori join Scream 6

OHMYGOSSIP — Samara Weaving and Tony Revolori have joined the cast of ‘Scream 6’.
The pair have joined the growing ensemble – that includes Dermot Mulroney – in the latest movie in the slasher franchise, which is due to be filmed this summer ahead of a March 2023 release.
Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and Jenna Ortega are all returning to take on the killer Ghostface after starring in the ‘Scream’ reboot, which was released earlier this year to a positive response from critics and audiences.
Hayden Panettiere is returning to the franchise to portray Kirby Reed in the untitled movie, reprising her role from ‘Scream 4’.
Plot details for the film are yet to be revealed but it is said that the flick “continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter”.
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are returning to direct after taking over from the late Wes Craven on the fifth film. James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick have once again written the script.
However, Neve Campbell will not be reprising her role as Sidney Prescott after quitting the horror franchise over a salary dispute.
The 48-year-old actress claimed that the wage offer for the new movie did not match the value she has brought to the franchise since first appearing as Sidney Prescott in the 1996 original film.
Neve said in a statement: “Sadly I won’t be making the next ‘Scream’ film.
“As a woman I have had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my value, especially when it comes to ‘Scream’.
“I felt the offer that was presented to me did not equate to the value I have brought to the franchise.
“It’s been a very difficult decision to move on. To all my ‘Scream’ fans, I love you. You’ve always been so incredibly supportive to me. I’m forever grateful to you and to what this franchise has given me over the past 25 years.”

Real Housewives of Cheshire to explore the menopause

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Real Housewives of Cheshire’ is set to explore menopause in an upcoming two-part special.
The hit ITV2 reality show – which follows the day-to-day lives of affluent women including Lauren Simon, Seema Malhotra, Rachel Lugo, Nicole Sealey, Lystra Adams, and Sheena Lynch – will focus on cast members as they share more about their experiences with the menopause and learn how to deal with it before the main show returns for its fifteenth series later in 2022.
In a press release, ITV said: “With menopause being a topic that is rarely discussed and still not fully understood, the housewives will not only bravely share their experiences but so will their partners and families, providing never before seen access to their lives.
“Throughout the two-part special, The Real Housewives will also be on a mission to raise awareness and get the nation talking about the menopause through the social media campaign, #hotmess”
News of the issue-based double header comes just days after it was announced that Paul Whitehouse and Liza Tarbuck are to star in new Channel 4 comedy ‘The Change’, which also focuses on the menopause.
The new series has been created by stand-up comedian Bridget Christie, who will play the lead character Linda, a 50-year-old mother of two who is convinced she has early-onset dementia after forgetting what a shoe is called, only to find out from her GP that it is the menopause.
With this new information, she dusts off her old Triumph motorbike and heads to the Forest of Dean, south west England, in an attempt to reconnect with the person that she used to be, during which she meets a community of eccentrics, artists, eel fisherwomen, musicians, misfits, and the odd bigot. ‘The Change’ is also currently in production.

Samantha Womack thinks EastEnders death was ‘a really good thing’

OHMYGOSSIP — Samantha Womack thinks having ‘EastEnders’ character killed off was a “really good thing.”
The 49-year-old actress played Ronnie Mitchell on the BBC One soap for a decade before her character and on-screen sister Roxy Mitchell – played by Rita Simons – both drowned in a freak swimming pool accident in 2017, and while she initially “mourned” for the role, her departure has allowed her to explore her career further.
She said: “I was definitely [shocked]. We went into a period of mourning where Rita and I would speak to each other every day. I found it hard at the beginning.
“It took a little while to understand that I was going to be OK outside of it. But it was a really good thing. I think I probably would have ended up staying forever because it was a fantastic experience for me – to this day they are some of the happiest memories I’ve had.
“I certainly wouldn’t have made some of the decisions I’d made now had I been working there five days a week.”
In more recent years, the former ‘Mount Pleasant ‘ star has swapped television for a career in theatre with roles in shows such as ‘The Addams Family: The Musical’, while she is set to star as the White Witch in ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ in London.
However, she is still in touch with some of her former co-stars and thinks of Rita as her younger sister in real life.
She told Metro newspaper’s SixtySeconds column: “I’m friends with Scott (Maslen), who played my partner Jack Branning, and I speak three times a week to Rita Simons, who played my sister Roxy. We formed a close bond.
“For a decade, for about 14 hours a day, your brain is convincing you that person is your younger sister so I do think of Rita as my sister, bizarrely. I feel very protective towards her – I constantly worry if she’s OK.”
Meanwhile, she recently admitted she would love to find a way to return to Albert Square despite her character’s demise.
She quipped: “Maybe I could come back as a poisonous twin.”

Rege-Jean Page: The Gray Man combines Bond and Bourne

OHMYGOSSIP — Rege-Jean Page has described ‘The Gray Man’ as a blend between the James Bond and Jason Bourne franchises.
The ‘Bridgerton’ star plays Denny Carmichael in Netflix’s big-budget spy flick and suggested that the movie combines the elements of 007 and that Matt Damon-led Bourne series to make it “something tastier all together”.
In the official production notes for ‘The Gray Man’, Rege said: “There is no limit to the scope of this film. It’s a global travel adventure, but with spies, explosions, guns, falling out of airplanes – there’s nothing that isn’t in this movie.
“It has this ‘How is this dude still on his feet?’ factor and it has that suave suits and sophistication Bond factor. It has that hyper-real, hyper-violent Bourne factor.
“It just smushes it all in and makes something tastier altogether thanks to the marriage of all those elements.”
The movie’s starry cast features Ryan Gosling as a skilled CIA mercenary who operates under the alias Sierra Six and the actor revealed he was drawn to playing the spy who wasn’t on any sort of mission.
The 41-year-old actor said: “His goals aren’t monetary, it’s not about treasure, it’s not revenge. He just wants to have the right to sit on the couch and watch Netflix like the rest of us.”
Both cast and crew hope that ‘The Gray Man’ will mark the launch of a franchise and Ryan is already keen to get to work on more films.
He said: “I loved making this film. I’d love to do it again. I’m hoping we can bump Six up to a name status at some point, just for his own sanity.”

50 Cent to star in Skill House

OHMYGOSSIP — 50 Cent has signed up to star in the horror film ‘Skill House’.
The 47-year-old rapper – whose real name is Curtis Jackson – will also produce the movie from Ryan Kavanaugh’s Proxima Media under his G-Unit Film and Television banner.

Other new additions to the cast include Leah Pipes, McCarrie McCausland, Ivan Leung, Neal McDonough, John DeLuca, Caitlin Carmichael, Dani Oliveros, Emily Mei and Jacob Skidmore.
The film has been helmed by writer-director Josh Stolberg and examines social media and influence culture and what those new to the world are willing to do to get famous.
It is currently in production in Los Angeles at the TikTok “collab house” known as Sway House. The movie is slated for release early next year.
Kavanaugh said: “This film is bursting with mavericks of entertainment, many of them spanning multiple genres and platforms.
“From a global rap and hip-hop music icon to a businessman, actor, writer, and producer – if anyone knows a thing or two about breaking the boundaries, it’s 50 Cent.
“I’m honoured to work alongside him as we watch Bryce do the same with his career.”
50 Cent is also set to star in ‘The Expendables 4’ alongside Megan Fox and action legends such as Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren – with the latter suggesting it will be the franchises biggest film yet as it has “new blood”.
Dolph said: “You know, Megan Fox is in it, 50 Cent is in it. Him and I actually have a lot of scenes together. Andy Garcia.
“There’s some new blood, and I think a certain excitement to it, testosterone-driven excitement that, hopefully, people will want to see.”

Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa would love Gillian Anderson to join as a villain

OHMYGOSSIP — Ncuti Gatwa wants Gillian Anderson to join him in ‘Doctor Who’.
The ‘Sex Education’ actor – who appears with the 53-year-old star in the Netflix comedy drama – revealed he would love her to take on the role of a villain once he taking over the TARDIS.
He told RadioTimes.com: “I would love to play opposite Gillian [Anderson] again. I would love for Gillian to come in and be an amazing baddie.
“Like, I’d love to battle with Gillian! That would be a dream.”
Ncuti, 29, also promised something “exciting” for his outfit as the next Doctor, and confirmed he’ll have a say in his costume.
Meanwhile, Russell T Davies – who is returning as showrunner in 2023 having initially overseen the BBC programme’s revival from 2005 to 2010 – recently opened up on what current boss Chris Chibnall has planned for Jodie Whittaker’s final episode later this year.
Asked for new details about his own ‘Doctor Who’ 60th anniversary specials, he joked: “Has anyone ever come on ‘The One Show’ and given away a spoiler?
“I can’t say, honestly, because what is coming up in October, this year, is Jodie Whittaker’s farewell. So, I feel like I’m upstaging it slightly.
“Love Jodie, and I just saw the finished version of that two days ago. It’s a 90-minute epic, it’s fantastic. So, that is gorgeous with lots of surprises and I’m going quiet!”
Russell previously teased shock comebacks for both Catherine Tate and David Tennant, and proposed some different scenarios for the 10th Doctor’s reason for returning.
He pondered: “A mysteriously forgotten excursion for the TARDIS in between Planet of the Ood and Sontaran Stratagem?
“Or maybe a multiverse thing, they’re all the rage these days. Maybe this is the Doctor and Donna [Catherine Tate] from Universe 557, all set to collide with our own.
“Then again, maybe, just maybe, this return is so impossible that it’s actually an intricate illusion created by an old enemy of the Doctor’s. Or maybe an old enemy of Donna’s. Nerys!”

Channel 5 boss says Neighbours axe was ‘business decision’

OHMYGOSSIP — Channel 5 boss Ben Frow insists ‘Neighbours’ money can be “better spent” on UK projects.
The broadcaster’s controller has opened up on why he cancelled the beloved Australian soap – which has been part of the UK’s daytime TV schedule for 37 years – in what he described as “a business decision” while admitting he could have put more money into its production to keep things going.
He told the Radio Times Magazine: “Yes. Or I could spend the money on other things, which is what I decided to do.
“I can better spend the Neighbours money on UK shows.”
Frow also dismissed the idea Aussie show ‘Home and Away’ could face a similar fate.
He added: “No. But I think it will be interesting to see what we do with it as we evolve.
“There might be somewhere else to put it in the 5 spectrum. But it’s a life-of-series deal, so it’s not going anywhere until the makers decide to cancel it.”
Back in February, Channel 5 confirmed they were axing the show , which first hit screens in 1985 and has featured the likes of mainstay Alan Fletcher (Karl Kennedy) over the year.
Many stars going onto be household names around the world, including Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Liam Hemsworth and Margot Robbie.
A spokesperson said at the time: “Neighbours will no longer air on Channel 5 beyond this summer.
“It’s been a much-loved part of our schedule for more than a decade, and we’d like to thank the cast, Fremantle and all of the production team for their fantastic work on this iconic series.
“We’d also of course like to thank the fans for their loyal support of Neighbours across the years.
“We recognise that there will be disappointment about this decision, however our current focus is on increasing our investment in original UK drama, which has strong appeal for our viewers.”

Aidan Turner was ‘terrified’ filming stunts for The Suspect

OHMYGOSSIP — Aidan Turner says filming the tower block stunt in ‘The Suspect’ was “terrifying”.
The 39-year-old actor stars as psychologist Dr. Joseph O’Loughlin – who becomes entangled in a web of lies when he is faced with a troubled young patient and a murder victim – in the upcoming ITV drama series based on the books by Michael Robotham, and he admitted when he filmed the opening scene where his character considers jumping off a bridge, he was genuinely scared because he struggles with heights.
He said: “I’m not good with heights. And we’re still quite high up, which is great when you do these things because you could just infiltrate your own real emotion.
“Playing fear, or dialing that up… if there wasn’t a height, if you’re doing a green screen thing, for instance, I mean, they’re really tricky, Because to try to evoke that emotion from yourself, it’s harder, you tend to overcook it.”
The former ‘Poldark’ star went on to explain that any shrieks heard in the opening scene of the thriller are genuine but called it a “great introduction” to the character and a good way to start the series.
He told RadioTimes.com: “Those shrieks or whatever I’m doing in the scene are real. It was kind of scary, but it still felt very safe, which is great. I think it’s a great introduction for the character too. And it’s a great way to start.” .
Meanwhile, director James Strong admitted that putting the opening scene together was “quite complicated” because he wanted to try to film as much of it as if it were real.
He said: “You just take it apart and look at all the different elements and it is about constructing the jigsaw. All the different pieces of… where we can have Aidan for real, where’s it got to be the stunt team, where’s it got to be green screen and all those little elements, and what the VFX can give us, credibly, that you believe, and can kind of sell the sequence.
“We did actually do as much of it as we could for real, so we were hanging people off that huge building in Paddington.
“So I think when you’ve got that real base then it helps sell it. But it’s a complicated sequence of all those different elements that come together.”
‘The Suspect’ is set to air on ITV in late 2022.

Olivia Attwood ‘set to make more ITV documentaries’

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Attwood is reportedly set to make more documentaries for ITV.
The former ‘TOWIE’ and ‘Love Island’ star – who is currently exploring the world of OnlyFans and selling sexual content online for ITV2 show ‘Getting Filthy Rich’ – is said to have impressed bosses and she could have further films on ITV2 and upcoming new service ITVX.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “The new docs will see her take the same immersive approach to the online sex industry, which is similar to the current series.
“But this time she will delve into the even more outrageous world of cosmetic surgery, an area that fascinates Olivia.
“She is keen to find out what really goes on and what the pitfalls are to certain treatments and enhancements.”
It’s said ITV wants to capitalise on Olivia’s huge fanbase among younger viewers.
The source added: “ITV is keen to make the most of the fact that Olivia is hugely popular with viewers aged 16 to 24.”
Olivia, 31, previously admitted that making the documentary has been “a huge responsibility” as she looked to step outside her comfort zone.
She explained: “I think obviously, coming from reality TV background, it’s very easy to be pigeonholed. And I actually had no problem being in that pigeonhole because I love reality TV, and I continue to make more reality TV and be a part of that side of my work.
“But I thought, ‘I think I can be quite articulate. I think I can get people to open up to me.’
“It’s just getting the opportunity and obviously I’ve been working with ITV for five years now and to put that trust in me to give this a go when it’s obviously not my trained profession was a huge responsibility. And I hopefully I did it justice.”
