Strictly’s Ola Jordan is horrified at ‘mum bod’ in bikini photo

OHMYGOSSIP — Ola Jordan has been inspired to get back in shape after being shocked by her “mum bod”.
The Polish professional ballroom dancer was always one of the fittest competitors when she partnered celebrities on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ from 2006 to 2015, and her envious figure and good looks led to her getting multiple modelling contracts and calendar deals.
However, since she and her husband, fellow former ‘Strictly’ pro James Jordan, stepped away from the BBC One series and became parents to two-year-old daughter Ella – a miracle baby who arrived in February 2020 thanks to IVF after the couple spent years trying to conceive – Ola’s energy and focus has been on her which has meant she has neglected her fitness.
Ola – who tied the knot with James, 44, in October 2013 – was left “horrified” after seeing her “disappointing” figure in a photo that was taken next to the swimming pool at the couple’s poolside home.
Ola took to Instagram to post the photo showing her posing in a pink two-piece bikini standing next to her husband, who has also gained a belly, in his swimming shorts.
Her caption read: “Hi guys I wasn’t going to post this picture but I’ve decided to because I’m horrified and so disappointed with myself and by posting it I’m hoping it will help motivate me to do something about it.
“Our friend took this snap of us yesterday trying to stay cool by the pool but OMG… it was a total shock to say the least! When did we get ‘mum and dad bods’?”
Ola accepted that the change in her and James’ physiques is down to them stepping away from the gruelling ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ training regime and the realities of child birth.
She added: “We know we’re not in our best Strictly shape but hey that’s what happens when you stop dancing for hours every day and have a baby (I just want to know James’ excuse). Stay cool everyone. I think I need to avoid the ice cream for a while! Couples That Eat Together Stay Together.”
Despite her frustration, Ola was flooded with messages of support.
Former ‘Geordie Shore’ star Charlotte Crosby – who is currently pregnant – wrote: “You both still look bloody amazing! Hate to read you put yourself down! You are stunning Ola! And both amazing people and parents.”
‘Love Island’ contestant Laura Anderson also posted: “Stunning as always. Ola you were always my Strictly inspo watching for years, so beautiful and talented and trust me you still are, enjoy your food, booze and family time. It’s way more fun than keeping up a six pack let’s be honest.”

Daisy Edgar- Jones: Movie adaptations are always going to be different from the book

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Edgar-Jones says that the adaptation of ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ was “always going to be different” from the book.
The 24-year-old actress stars in the upcoming drama film – based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Delia Owens – as a young girl who finds herself caught up in a murder trial and explained that fans should “enjoy” the natural differences between the film and the novel.
She said: “I think the main thing [is] knowing it’s never gonna be exactly how you imagined it. It’s always gonna be different to the book and accepting that and enjoying that difference and allowing yourself to sort of create another angle into a character for an audience.”
Daisy is known to audiences as Marianne Sheridan in ‘Normal People’ and went on to explain that she went through the same process when filming the hit drama series, which itself is an adaptation of the novel by Sally Rooney.
She told Collider: “I think I kind of did the same thing of lifting passages from the book that I loved and putting it by my script, which I did for Marianne as well, and getting the accent right and things like that, but yeah, I think it was enjoying stepping into a filmmaker’s version of the story and enjoying the collaborative aspect of it.”
Meanwhile, the London-born star – who had to adopt a Northern Irish accent for her role in ‘Normal People’ – added that while she has a “knack” for picking up various UK accents, she would struggle with Welsh and Geordie.
She said: “I think I’d find Welsh or Geordie accent hard. In the Uk, we have such a range of accents. You can walk 20 minutes up the road and have an entirely different dialect so I’d find maybe welsh quite difficult. It’s very sing-songy and I can’t tune my ear to it quite yet. I’ll get it, I just need to practice!”
‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ is set for release on July 22.

John Cho loves starring in ‘authentic’ roles

OHMYGOSSIP — John Cho thinks movies that don’t focus on his Asian heritage feel more “authentic”.
The 50-year-old actor was born in Seoul, South Korea, but in recent years, John’s on-screen roles have had relatively little to do with his Asian background.
Asked about the roles he chooses, he explained: “It’s situational. But a movie that treats race in the background feels more authentic, because while the rest of mainstream society in America looks at you and sees solely the colour of your skin, internally people don’t think about their race throughout the course of a day. Other identities are much more forefront in your conception of yourself.”
John has already surpassed his own expectations in the movie business, having starred in hits such as ‘American Pie’ and ‘Columbus’.
The actor admits there weren’t many Asian stars in the American film industry during his childhood.
John – who moved to the US in the late 1970s and was raised in California – told The Independent: “I didn’t see anyone who made that feel possible.”
The Hollywood star developed his passion for acting while studying English literature at Berkeley in California.
He said: “I met these Asian American actors, and I was like, ‘Holy s***, these are actual actors. They’re trained and they’re educated and they’re earning a living.’”
Despite this, John has still experienced “uncomfortable” moments during his career, including while working on the TV sitcom ‘The Jeff Foxworthy Show’.
The actor – who played the part of a delivery driver – shared: “I was playing a Chinese delivery guy with a Southern accent. That was the joke.
“I remember doing it and the white crew laughed. I was so uncomfortable. I didn’t ever want to have that feeling again.”

Freida Pinto’s period drama ‘represents London today’

OHMYGOSSIP — Freida Pinto says that ‘Mr. Malcolm’s List’ represents London as it is today.
The 37-year-old actress stars as young woman in 1800s England helps her friend to get revenge on a suitor when she fails to meet his requirements for a potential bride but described it as a “diverse” version of 1990 comedies such as ‘Bridget Jones’ Diary’ and ‘Notting Hill’, as well as being a period drama.
She said: “We represent London the way we see it today in this film by kind of throwing back to the recency period with the costumes and the mannerisms but really it’s a marriage of the regency period with the 90s rom-com. That’s how I see it, very ‘Bridget Jones Diary’, ‘Notting Hill’ and ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral.’
The ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ star – who is married to photographer Cory Tran, 34, and has son Rumy Ray, eight months, with him – went on to explain that the film is “realy modern” but remains accurate as she insisted that black people existed in 19th century England and she is merely part of “telling their story” for the first time.
Speaking on the Jess Cagle Podcast with Julia Cunningham, she added: “So, in that sense, it is really modern but in terms of accuracy, in terms of ‘Did people of colour exist in England in the early 19th century?’ The answer is yes. But we’ve never told their stories of love and of heartbreak and of scheming and fun and humour before so this is us starting to change that and starting to see our stories out there as well.”
‘Mr. Malcolm’s List’ is set for release on 26 August 2022.

Adebayo Akinfenwa ‘eyed for I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Adebayo Akinfenwa is in talks to join ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
The 40-year-old retired soccer star – who was known as the UK’s heaviest player, at 16 stone – is being eyed by ITV bosses to star in the new series of the long-running reality show.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Ade is in the frame and would be keen on appearing. He was a hardman on the pitch, but is a gent off it.
“He’s also charismatic and funny and knows loads of people in the game.”
Akinfenwa appeared for a host of teams during his playing days, including Millwall, AFC Wimbledon and Swansea City. But since retiring, he’s focused his attention on his Beast Mode On fashion label.
The soccer star has also pledged to keep himself in tip-top shape, despite hanging up his boots.
Speaking earlier this year, he shared: “I’m a creature of habit. I do 47 minutes on the bike every morning. I try to burn 850 calories before training five days a week. That is my routine and that sets my day. That’s my ‘me time’ to sweat out any tension and I’ll continue to do that.
“I enjoy the gym. No one forces me to go the gym. I’ve got two daughters, and one of them is turning 16 soon, so she may be going into that boyfriend stage, so I’ll be staying in the gym for that as well … !”
Akinfenwa also hopes to have inspired other people during his career.
He said: “I am unapologetically myself.
“Being who you are is the most powerful thing that we own as individuals. Some people will say: ‘He’s built like a rugby player, he’s built like a wrestler, I don’t get all the hype around him.’ It’s fine because we’re all entitled to our opinions but I do want people to know that the strongest thing that we own is our mind and if we believe it in ourselves, then we can achieve it.”

Joe Wicks feels surprised by his own success

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Wicks was amazed by the success of ‘PE with Joe’.
The 36-year-old fitness coach began his at-home PE classes amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and Joe admits he never expected so many people to follow him on YouTube amid the global health crisis.
Asked if he’d anticipated the success, Joe replied: “No, I had no idea. I just thought a few thousand schools would take part but I definitely didn’t expect nearly a million live streams and stuff. So I knew that second day, like, wow, this is big, but this is really a lot of people, so I just kept doing it.
“I was just trying to give people some structure to their day. It was just a mood changer or a mood booster and I think that’s what it did really, it got people feeling a bit more positive about the day.”
Joe made some new friends through his YouTube show, including acclaimed documentary-maker Louis Theroux.
And the health-conscious star revealed that he’d love to work with Louis, 52, on a documentary one day.
He told Metro.co.uk: “He’s such an amazing guy, I’ve loved his shows for so many years, so it’s just amazing that he does my workouts, and he came to my house because he produced my mental health documentary. So I really wanted to get to know him a bit more and he came around and I made him have an ice bath. We did a workout and stuff, which was really funny. He’s awesome.
“He’s a really lovely bloke and actually I was with him a few weeks ago, and I’m always thinking if I can do more documentaries, I’d love to do it with him. ”

The 64-year-old TV personality has been cast as a weary housekeeper in a new sitcom called ‘Gammon’, which centres on two dim brothers.
Anne – who is best-known for starring on ‘The Chase’ – told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Being on ‘The Chase’ is the best job I’ve ever had but I’d love to do a bit of acting.
“I would like to be funny. Our writer Adam [Bostock-Smith] has written a sitcom called Gammon about these two dim brothers who live together. I’m the housekeeper and I’m the only sane person in the place.
“We don’t know what channel it will be on yet, but there is a full script for the pilot episode and an outline for the first six episodes.”
Anne revealed that she also leans on Adam for her funny lines on ‘The Chase’.

She said: “By the time lockdown came in, I was so burnt out, I’d had something like three colds in the space of five months because I was rushing around from place to place and suddenly having sobbing fits in the car.
“I really was, because there was just so much on my plate, there were so many things I was planning on.
“I look now at my diary for the beginning of last year and I think, ‘Well, you kind of were about to have a breakdown.'”

Russo brothers ‘aren’t precious about cinema’

OHMYGOSSIP — The Russo brothers have never been “precious” about cinema.
Anthony and Joe Russo are among the most influential directors, producers, and screenwriters in Hollywood – but they remain open-minded about the future of the movie business.
Anthony explained: “We love everything about classic cinema, but we’ve never been precious about that in any way, shape, or form.
“What has always excited us most is [the question], how do you move it forward? This is part of our philosophy in terms of not being precious about theatrical distribution. How do you get away from the old models? How do you reach audiences that haven’t been engaged before? That’s all the most interesting stuff to us.”
Joe is aware “that the world needs to change” and he’s determined to embrace the future.
The filmmaker also acknowledges that the industry currently finds itself at a crossroads.
Joe – whose directing credits include ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ – told The Hollywood Reporter: “It’s not anyone’s place to reject the next generation’s ideas. We’re in crisis right now because everyone’s at war with each other. It’s sad to see, as guys who grew up loving film.
“A thing to remember, too, is it’s an elitist notion to be able to go to a theatre. It’s very f****** expensive. So, this idea that was created – that we hang on to – that the theatre is a sacred space, is b*******. And it rejects the idea of allowing everyone in under the tent.”

Jacques O’Neill hit rock bottom on Love Island

OHMYGOSSIP — Jacques O’Neill thinks appearing on ‘Love Island’ was the “worst decision of [his] life”.
The 23-year-old hunk quit the ITV show after a bust-up with Adam Collard over partner Paige Thorne, and he admits that starring on ‘Love Island’ left him feeling like a broken man.
He shared: “I thought if I don’t get myself out things could go horribly wrong and I could get physical.”
Jacques “couldn’t cope” in the villa and realised he needed to quit the show for his own sake.
He told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Doing ‘Love Island’ was the worst decision of my life.”
Jacques – who has been diagnosed with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) – believes he hit rock bottom during his time in the villa.
He said: “I was ready to break down.
“I was feeling so mentally drained, I just wanted to go home and get myself right.
“It broke me and I was already broken. I was crying my eyes out. I couldn’t cope.
“I was literally feeling awful. It was the worst I’d ever felt in my life.”
Jacques feared things becoming “physical” with Adam, and so he took the decision to walk away from the ITV show.
He shared: “At home you can remove yourself from situations, but in there you had to deal with every situation, and in that moment I took my microphone off, and walked straight through the front doors because I just wanted to get out of that place.
“Producers tried coming to me, they were like, ‘Jacques, are you OK? I was saying, ‘I don’t want to speak to you or anyone. I want to be left to myself.’ It was too much.
“I was saying to them, ‘This is more than a TV show to me’, it was genuine feelings involved and my headspace wasn’t right to be in a TV show.
“I dealt with stuff in there that I’ve never dealt with in my life.”

Luca Bish furious after Gemma has ‘flirty chat’ with Billy on Love Island

OHMYGOSSIP — Luca Bish was left furious after Gemma had a “flirty chat” with Billy on ‘Love Island.’
The 23-year-old fishmonger is currently competing on the hit ITV2 reality dating show and has been coupled up with dressage rider Gemma Owen, 19, for several weeks but was left questioning his relationship after she had “banter” with Billy Brown on Sunday’s (17.07.22) episode.
During a movie night, Luca watched a clip of Billy and Gemma chatting and said: “Just bring me a f****** bird in and watch. Trust me when I say, if she wants to f****** play games with me, I’ll play with it. I can’t be with someone like that, I’m sorry.”
Later in the evening, Luca confronted Gemma about the chat and accused her of “entertaining” Billy’s flirtatious nature, which she immediately denied.
He said: “You were entertaining it!” and Gemma replied, “No I wasn’t!”
Luca then decided to confront roofing company director Billy, 23, – who arrived during the Casa Amor stage of the show – and asked him directly if he had intended to flirt with Gemma.
He called him over to the fire-pit and asked: “Did you feel like she was flirting with you?” to which Billy replied: “Yeah, it was just flirty banter!”
Gemma interjected: “Did we have a flirty chat? Yes. I don’t think any lines have been crossed.”
But Luca raged: “But just a minute ago you said you didn’t have a flirty chat, you literally said I wasn’t flirting. I’m not angry that you flirted. I’m angry that when I pulled you on the situation, you made me out to be an idiot!”
Elsewhere in the episode, Paige and Adam were seen sharing a passionate kiss and the 24-year-old paramedic told Adam that he now had a “70 percent chance” with her before hastily declaring that she was “ready for bed” and bid him goodnight.

Jacques O’Neill had ‘no more tears left’ following Love Island exit

OHMYGOSSIP — Jacques O’Neill had “no more tears left to cry” following his dramatic exit from ‘Love Island’.
The 23-year-old star quit the ITV show after a bust-up with Adam Collard over partner Paige Thorne, and Jacques has admitted to becoming tearful when he watched his departure alongside his mum, Janet Wright.
He shared: “The first thing I did when I got home was watch the episode with my mum – that last episode. I said to my mum, ‘Listen I’ve got no more tears left’. I’d been so emotional.
“I literally stuck it on and put a brave face on for my mum and looked at her and we were just like ‘offt’.”
Jacques also admitted to being overwhelmed by the situation in the ‘Love Island’ villa.
During an appearance on the spin-off show ‘Aftersun’, he confessed: “It just got too much for me in there. I needed to see the boys and my mum.”
Jacques – who has been diagnosed with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) – previously admitted to hitting rock bottom during his time in the villa.
He shared: “I was ready to break down.
“I was feeling so mentally drained – I just wanted to go home and get myself right.

Sylvester Stallone slams Rocky producer over ownership rights

OHMYGOSSIP — Sylvester Stallone admits the ownership rights for the ‘Rocky’ franchise are a “painful subject”.
The 76-year-old actor created and starred in the money-spinning film franchise – but he’s now taken to social media to hit out at producer Irwin Winkler, accusing him of withholding the ownership rights to the movies.
Stallone – who played the titular role of Rocky Balboa in the films – wrote on Instagram: “After Irwin controlling ‘Rocky’ for over 47 years, and now ‘Creed’, I really would like to have at least a little [of] WHAT’S LEFT of my rights back, before passing it on to ONLY YOUR CHILDREN – I believe that would be a fair gesture from this 93-year-old gentleman? (sic)”
The Hollywood icon achieved huge success with the ‘Rocky’ movies and he even reprised the role in 2015 to launch the ‘Creed’ franchise, which also stars Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson.
However, Stallone previously confessed to being “furious” about the ownership issue.
He explained: “I have zero ownership of ‘Rocky’. Every word, every syllable, every grammatical error was all my fault. It was shocking that it never came to be, but I was told, ‘Hey, you got paid, so what are you complaining about?’ I was furious.”
Stallone admitted to being a victim of his own naivety about the movie business and how it works.
The actor explained that he didn’t want to upset any influential figures in the industry, as he was still trying to establish himself at the time.
He said: “You don’t want to ruffle the feathers of the golden goose.”
Despite this, an industry insider previously questioned Stallone’s complaints.
The source said: “He made money from every angle, and still does, so I don’t know what he’s complaining about.”

John Cho ‘edited’ his acting ambitions

OHMYGOSSIP — John Cho “edited” his own ambitions as a young actor.
The 50-year-old star – who was born in Seoul, South Korea, before moving to the US as a child – admits he never imagined being cast in traditional leading roles in a Hollywood film.
Reflecting on a 2016 social media campaign in which he was re-imagined as the protagonist of action franchises and romcoms, John explained: “It was very weird to see myself in those things. Maybe it’s because I edited my own dreams?
“The awkwardness of that campaign was that a lot of people thought I was the one to start it!”
John can still recall being “made to feel different” as a young Korean boy living in the US.
However, he thinks that pop culture is helping to change attitudes.
He told The Independent: “You know, being an Asian kid, there were so many opportunities when you were made to feel different, and that seems to have changed.
“I think pop culture has a lot to do with how children see other children who look different from them. And now I think kids are much cooler with a multicultural world.”
Meanwhile, John recently claimed that Asians have historically “been seen as less than men” in America.
The actor also admitted to being frustrated by the depiction of Asian characters in Hollywood films.
He explained: “I don’t want this to sound whiny, but we have been seen as less than men for so long.
“I fully appreciate that Asian men who are younger than me may be living in a different world, but certainly my generation was dismissed by larger society so much, and I just know from all my friends that they had a breaking point. And when it happened, you didn’t want to be around to see it, because the clenched fist in the pocket was often literal – it could come flying out.
“It was definitely a young man thing, but it was also informed by a culture that doesn’t value us very much.
“We grew up with that, and it took me some time to untangle it and to calm down and to not think that people are after me.”

Martin Compston hints at future series of Line of Duty

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Compston has hinted a seventh season of ‘Line of Duty’ is on the cards.
The 38-year-old actor starred as Detective Inspector Steve Arnott in the hit BBC police drama, which concluded last year, and he’s revealed showrunner Jed Mercurio has already discussed future instalments with the cast.
He is quoted by The Sun as saying: “We sat down with Jed recently.
“We’ve always taken a year or two between series. This is no different.
“We won’t do it for the sake of it. We’ll do it if there’s something to tell.”
He added: “It’s amazing knowing people still want us back, especially when colleagues have become my best friends.
“They and the show really mean a lot to me.”
Martin’s hints about the show’s future come just weeks after his co-star Adrian Dunbar teased he thinks there could be another series.
The 63-year-old actor – who played Superintendent Ted Hastings – said: “I think there will be something else, and he is a showrunner in the American sense, in that he’s across everything and we only have one writer – it’s him.”
‘Line of Duty’ was broadcast on a weekly basis, meaning viewers had to wait for episodes rather than bingeing them on a catch-up service, and Adrian admitted the decision was something audiences probably thought was a thing of the past.
He said: “We did something that people probably thought wasn’t going to happen again, which was people watching a programme live because of the twists and turns.”
Adrian then explained that since his star turn on the show he has felt “lucky” that audiences have embraced his character because it can become “serious” when fans are invested in a television show.
Speaking on the ‘Out for Lunch with Jay Rayner’ podcast, he said: “I remember Cliff Parisi in one point in ‘EastEnders’ (Minty) was doing something really nasty to somebody and we were walking down the street in Crouch End and someone went, ‘Oi, you, leave her alone you b******.’
“And I thought, ‘God, this is serious the way people get involved in stuff.’
“So therefore I count myself lucky that most of the people I know like the character of Ted Hastings, love the series, so therefore when I am approached by the public, it’s usually with a big smile and, ‘Oh my God it’s you, can we have a photograph and so forth.
“Having said that, I’ve just been to Majorca and I purposely booked myself into a place where there’s only Germans!”

Graziano di Prima marries long-term love Giada Lini

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star Graziano di Prima has married his long-term love Giada Lini.
The 28-year-old dancer and Giada tied the knot in a traditional Catholic ceremony in Sicily, having previously postponed their wedding plans because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Graziano told OK! magazine: “I tried to be strong all day but I couldn’t stop crying because of the love I feel for Giada. When I saw her arrive in the horse and carriage I started to cry. When she walked down the aisle towards me, I cried more.
“My mum was holding my elbow, squeezing it for support. It was more than I expected. I must have told her how beautiful she looked 50 or 60 times. The fact we were in Sicily, my town, after two years of postponing the wedding with all our family and our friends to witness – it was a feeling so strong.”
Graziano knew Giada – who is also a professional dancer – first met in 2014 and he “fell in love instantly”.
The TV star – who grew up in Sicliy – said: “I was watching everything around me as though I was 10 years old again when I used to live here, but I’m a man now and I’ve married Giada. Since we met each other eight years ago, I knew she was The One – I fell in love instantly. She is the most extraordinary woman I have ever met.”
After the ceremony, the loved-up couple and their 200 guests – which included fellow ‘Strictly’ stars Nadiya Bychkova, Karim Zeroual and Chizzy Akudolu – moved on to a local castle.
Giada said: “Graziano used to bring me to the castle gate when we first started dating and he didn’t have a car, only a Vespa.
“I used to reach my hand inside the gate to see if we could get into the castle but it was always locked. We never imagined then that we’d have the money to rent it for our wedding. Sicily was the perfect location to remind us of how it all began.”

Yazmin Oukhellou has nightmares about crash that killed her boyfriend

OHMYGOSSIP — Yazmin Oukhellou still has nightmares about the car crash that killed her boyfriend.
The 28-year-old TV star hasn’t been able to sleep on her own since Jake McLean lost his life in the crash in Bodrum, Turkey, just over two weeks ago.
Yazmin told The Sun newspaper: “I have nightmares every single night since the accident.
“I have not stopped waking up in the night about it. Mum stays in bed with me every night.”
Yazmin had to break her own arm in order to escape the wreckage and she admits she “might not ever get full movement” ever again.
She shared: “They said I might not ever get full movement of my arm ever again.
“I am just hoping for the best and do you know what? I could have been like Jake and not survived, so I am just very grateful that if that is the worst case scenario I will deal with it as best I can. At least I am still alive.”
Meanwhile, Yazmin has confessed to being disappointed by the behaviour of former ‘Love Island’ star Georgia Harrison, after she recently shared messages that showed Jake inviting her out to Turkey.
Yazmin said: “I think Jake and Georgia have had a sexual relationship on and off. I don’t think they have ever been together. But it was an upsetting thing to read.
“I wish she hadn’t posted them and I’m not sure why she did.
“I guess grief can really hit people, though. I don’t want to get into a slanging match at all with anyone else – it’s hard enough coming to terms with it all.”
Yazmin also rubbished suggestions that she and Jake were arguing before the crash.
Yazmin said: “There were two people in the car. Unfortunately my partner did not make it, so the only person that people can listen to now is me because I was the only other person there.”
