David Attenborough is fronting new BBC show set in Britain and Ireland

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir David Attenborough is working on a new BBC series set in Britain and Ireland.
The 96-year-old broadcaster and naturalist will front a new five part natural history series – which has the working title ‘Wild Isles’ – which has been filmed over three years using “the very latest technology”.
In a statement, he said: “In my long lifetime, I have travelled to almost every corner of our planet.
“I can assure you that in the British Isles, as well as astonishing scenery there are extraordinary animal dramas and wildlife spectacles to match anything I have seen on my global travels.”
In a press release, the BBC revealed the show has captured “dramatic new behaviour, from battling butterflies to hunting sea eagles and killer whales” and it will unveil “a previously unseen wild side of the British Isles”.
The series will start with an introductory episode explaining why Britain and Ireland are so important globally for nature, while the four remaining episodes will each focus on woodlands, grasslands, freshwater and marine habitats.
The show has been shot at 4K resolution, while other technology includes aerial photography, motion controlled time-lapse photography, the latest low light cameras and more.
Alastair Fothergill, Executive Producer, added: “I have always wanted to make a landmark series that really does justice to our own extraordinary wildlife.
“I am sure people will be amazed at what is happening right on their own doorstep”.
Jack Bootle – Head of Commissioning, Science and Natural History – said: “The multi-award winning team at Silverback are creating an eye-opening celebration of British and Irish wildlife that has to be seen to be believed.
“You’ll think a meadow in Somerset is as beautiful as the Serengeti, and the North Atlantic as wild and dramatic as the Antarctic Ocean.”
And Tanya Steele – Chief Executive of WWF – warned: “The UK is one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world – we need to change that.
“Our aim is that this stunning series featuring some of our best loved species will inspire people to take action to safeguard and restore nature for future generations.”

Vicky Entwistle to write memoir

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky Entwistle is planning to write a tell-all book about her time on ‘Coronation Street’.
The 53-year-old star is best known for playing Janice Battersby for 14 years from 1997 to 2011, and she has asked her former cobbles co-stars Denise Welch (Natalie Barnes) and Gaynor Faye (Judy Mallett) to suggest moments she may have missed.
She tweeted: “Thinking of writing my memoirs. @RealDeniseWelch @MsGfaye Any moments I’ve missed will be much appreciated! Vic x (sic)”
However, Vicky admitted a book is very much on the back burner at the moment because she can barely write her own name due to the menopause.
She tweeted: “I’m so Menopausal at the moment I can’t even write my own name never mind a book!! (sic)”
In February 2021, Vicky admitted she felt “wore down” playing Janice.
She said: “‘Corrie’ was only the third job I’d done and you go from being yourself to this loud, obnoxious woman that’s showing up in half the country’s living rooms.
“I wasn’t prepared for the attention. It was like being dropped in the sea when you can’t really swim. By the time I left, I was desperate to find some peace. It was a brilliant job in so many ways but by the end, it was hard to know where Janice ended and I began. She was so feisty, it became physically exhausting to play her – hours on end shouting and screaming at people. I’d think at the end of filming, ‘How the hell am I going to drive home after all that?’ I’d have to go somewhere and calm myself down.”
Vicky also confessed she almost felt like she was “becoming Janice”.
She added: “Those rows, all that drama … I was going through it physically in this full-on, relentless schedule. It almost felt like I was becoming Janice. People presumed I was like her in real-life and I even started to worry myself. I’d think, ‘Am I this gobby? Am I this rude?’ In the end, it wore me down. I was exhausted.
“I know it wasn’t exactly life down the pits, but I was getting more and more anxious and I had to get my life back. In the end, I just knew I couldn’t do it anymore.”

Saw 10 confirmed with 2023 release date as Kevin Greutert returns

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Saw 10’ will be released in October 2023.
The 10th instalment in the longrunning horror franchise has been confirmed by Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures with filmmaker Kevin Greutert – who directed both 2009’s ‘Saw VI’ and ‘Saw: The Final Chapter’ the following year – at the helm.
In a statement, producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules said: “We have been listening to what the fans have been asking for and are hard at work planning a movie that ‘Saw’ aficionados and horror fans alike will love.
“And part of that is giving the reins to Kevin Greutert, director of ‘Saw VI’, which is still one of the fans’ favorites in the entire series. More details will be revealed soon.”
Greutert is a firm favourite with fans, and also worked as an editor on the first five films in the franchise, and 2017’s ‘Jigsaw’.
There is currently no casting news on the upcoming movie, and plot details are also being kept under wraps.
However, the studio has promised that “fans can be assured that the new film will capture their hearts – and other body parts – with all-new twisted, ingenious traps and a new mystery to solve”.
The most recent installment was 2021’s ‘Spiral From The Book of Raw’, which was co-written by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger and starred Chris Rock as Detective Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Banks.
The film focused on a copycat killer rather than Tobin Bell’s villain John Kramer, but Stolberg previously teased work on its sequel and a return for the icon villain.
Sharing a photo of himself with Goldfinger, burg and Koules in December last year, he tweeted: “Back with my horror family, polishing up the next @Saw script.
“I could tell you There will be [blood], but you know that already.
“What I can promise you is that this is gonna make John Kramer fans very happy!!! (sic)”

Bryce Dallas Howard was paid ‘so much less’ than Chris Pratt for Jurassic World trilogy

OHMYGOSSIP — Bryce Dallas Howard was paid “so much less” than her co-star Chris Pratt for the ‘Jurassic World’ films.
The stars played the leads in all three movies of the ‘Jurassic World’ trilogy and reports from Variety claimed that Bryce was paid $2 million less than Chris for the second movie ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’, although she has revealed that it was actually larger.
Bryce told Insider: “The reports were so interesting because I was paid so much less than the reports even said, so much less.
“When I started negotiating for ‘Jurassic’, it was 2014, and it was a different world, and I was at a great disadvantage. And, unfortunately, you have to sign up for three movies, and so your deals are set.”
The ‘Terminator Salvation’ star revealed that she had discussed the pay disparity with Pratt and he pushed for her to receive equal pay on other franchise commitments, such as spin-off video games and theme park rides.
Bryce explained: “What I will say is that Chris and I have discussed it, and whenever there was an opportunity to move the needle on stuff that hadn’t been already negotiated, like a game or a ride, he literally told me: ‘You guys don’t even have to do anything. I’m gonna do all the negotiating. We’re gonna be paid the same, and you don’t have to think about this, Bryce.'”
She continued: “And I love him so much for doing that. I really do, because I’ve been paid more for those kinds of things than I ever was for the movie.”

Kenya Barris to direct Wizard of Oz remake

OHMYGOSSIP — Kenya Barris is to direct a ‘Wizard of Oz’ remake.
The ‘Black-ish’ creator has been tapped to write and helm the Warner Bros. reimagining of L. Frank Baum’s book ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’.
The story has been retold on both the big and small screens several times, most famously in the classic 1939 movie that starred Judy Garland in the role of Dorothy.
The plot follows Dorothy, a Kansas farm girl who is swept away by a tornado and finds herself – as well as her dog Toto – in the colourful Land of Oz
The movie will be a modern reimagining of the classic musical and Kenya’s Khalabo Ink Society are producing the flick.
Barris is currently completing work on his debut feature film ‘You People’ for Netflix. He wrote the comedy film together with Jonah Hill and the ensemble cast includes stars such as Eddie Murphy, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and David Duchovny.
Kenya is also writing a remake of the 1992 sports comedy movie ‘White Men Can’t Jump’, with rapper Jack Harlow set to play the role that was portrayed by Woody Harrelson in the original film.
The movie is completely separate from New Line’s previously announced remake. That version will be directed by Nicole Kassell and is described as a “fresh take” on Dorothy and the Land of Oz.
In a statement, Kassell said: “While the 1939 musical is part of my DNA, I am exhilarated and humbled by the responsibility of re-imagining such a legendary tale.
“The opportunity to examine the original themes — the quest for courage, love, wisdom, and home — feels more timely and urgent than ever.
“These are profoundly iconic shoes to fill, and I am eager to dance alongside these heroes of my childhood as we pave a newly-minted yellow brick road!”

Adrian Dunbar wants to Christmas Number One with Ridley album

OHMYGOSSIP — Adrian Dunbar wants to release a chart topping Christmas album.
The 64-year-old ‘Line of Duty’ star has landed his next TV stint in forthcoming ITV crime drama ‘Ridley’ where he will play retired detective inspector Alex Ridley.
In one scene, Alex is set to perform a jazz number and the musical tease has inspired the actor to release a festive collection based on his character.
Hoping to emulate the success of 80s drama ‘The Singing Detective’, he’s quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: “A Ridley album would be good. ‘Ridley at Christmas’ or something like that.
“I have been talking to a couple of people about doing stuff. I might go a record a few things.
“I do tinkle a bit on the piano too. I wouldn’t call myself a pianist but I can knock out a few chords.”
The show follows Ridley as he comes to terms with his guilt over the tragic death of his wife and daughter, who died in a house fire which he’s partly responsible for.
As a coping mechanism, Alex often sings songs by Richard Hawley, whose tracks are often about grief.
Adrian added: “When he sings Jazz it is the only time he feels something.”
The actor – who rose to prominence playing Supt Ted Hastings in BBC hit drama ‘Line of Duty’ – said he has no issue playing another cop but stressed the difference in each character.
Speaking to BelfastLive, he said: “For me once I see myself out of uniform, it’s a completely different character.
“Ted is office bound and uniform bound, very tied and interesting, a dignified and formal character whereas this guy (Alex) is complicated and a bit gruff.
“You don’t feel warmth from him at the start, naturally enough because of what’s happened to him but I think that will progress.
“We’ve given ourselves a platform where we can progress his character and the series and see the development of all the characters. They’ve all got a backstory and somewhere to go and we can keep the audience alive with us by doing that.”

Tony Adams joins Strictly Come Dancing 2022 lineup

OHMYGOSSIP — Tony Adams has become the latest star announced for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The Arsenal and England football legend is the eleventh celebrity contestant to be confirmed for the upcoming series of the hit BBC dancing competition.
Tony’s participation in the latest series of ‘Strictly’ was revealed on the BBC Sport Twitter account on Wednesday (10.08.22).
The 55-year-old former sports star said: “To say I’m excited is an understatement.
“The lure of the sequins and the call of the salsa has me swapping my battered old football boots for a set of Strictly soft shoes.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be giving it my all on this year’s 20th anniversary of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. I can’t wait to meet my partner – god help her – and start the dancing.”
Adams won four league titles as Arsenal captain and also represented England at Euro 96 and the World Cup in 1998.
Away from football, Adams received an MBE after having founded the Sporting Chance charity to help sportspeople with mental health and addiction issues.
Tony joins a star-studded lineup featuring Will Mellor, Kaye Adams, Richie Anderson, Ellie Simmonds, Kym Marsh and Tyler West.
The series will also include Matt Goss, Ellie Taylor, Jayde Adams and Molly Rainford with more names to be unveiled.
The contestants will be aiming to impress the judging panel, with Shirley Ballas joined by Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke.
The show will see four new professionals joining the lineup too, as Vito Coppola, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley and Michelle Tsikkas come into the fold.

Michelle Collins marries

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Collins has got married.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actress – who is best known for playing Cindy Beale in the BBC One soap – wed lover Mike Davidson at London’s Islington Town Hall on Wednesday (10.08.22).
Michelle, 60, and Mike, 38, were covered in confetti as they exited the town hall after tying the knot, and they departed in a white convertible.
In April, Michelle revealed she and Mike had got engaged during a hike up Temescal Canyon in Los Angeles – a decade after the pair first met.
She told her Instagram followers: “So this happened in #la he got down on bended knee while we were on top of #temescalcanyon basically no one else around just us.
“It’s #beautfiul and I’m #happy #10years this April about time I think (sic)”
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who has daughter Maia-Rose, 25, with ex-husband Fabrizio Tassalini, who died of cancer in 2014 – previously hit out at critics of the 22-year age gap between her and Mike, and she was frustrated to be branded a “cougar”.
She said in 2018: “Mike is 22 years younger than me and I’m regarded as a predator. It drives me mad. People call him my toyboy beau. He’s nearly 35, for God’s sake.
“He turned to me the other day and said, ‘Surely I’m not still your toyboy, am I?’
“I laugh about it now but it is annoying. And I hate that word cougar. I can’t stand it. I find it so demeaning. A cougar is a predator going around looking for young flesh. I’m certainly not like that.
“But then, women are judged far more harshly than men. And, funnily enough, often by other women.
“If people think I look old enough to be his mum then let them! There’s nothing I can do about it. It’s one of the downsides, I suppose, of being in the public eye.
“No-one mentions an older man and a younger woman, do they? Nobody goes on about Rod Stewart’s wife Penny being nearly 30 years younger than him!”

Dean Gaffney returning to I’m A Celebrity for all-stars series

OHMYGOSSIP — Dean Gaffney is set to return to ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ for an all-stars series.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star is said to have penned a deal to head back to the show for the upcoming spin-off, which is expected to be filmed at South Africa’s Kruger National Park this year before airing next year.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Dean is regarded as one of the best contestants the show has ever had.
“When the all-stars show was first mooted he was a name that everyone wanted to get on board.
“It’s taken some time but he’s now signed on the dotted line and will be on the plane to South Africa with some other show greats. Everyone is chuffed.”
Dean finished fifth in the show’s sixth series in 2006, behind winner Matt Willis, runner-up Myleene Klass, former ‘Neighbours’ actor Jason Donovan, who was third, and music promoter David Gest – who died in 2016 aged 62 – who was fourth.
Boxer Amir Khan, 35, and TV star Gillian McKeith, 62, are both said to be in line to appear in the spin-of series.
This comes after ITV confirmed the regular ‘I’m A Celebrity’ series will be heading back to Australia later this year.
They said in a statement: “Returning to its home in Australia after a two-year break, our celebrities will leave their plush pads and luxuries far behind as they spend up to three weeks taking on the Australian jungle with a whole host of surprises created just for them.
“Whoever does end up in the legendary jungle camp will find themselves cut off from the outside world and their fate will be in the hands of viewers who could decide to send them into a dreaded Bushtucker Trial.”
Ant and Dec will return as presenters for the programme, and they will also co-host the all-stars spin-off show.

Brian Tyree Henry: Aaron Taylor-Johnson became my family on Bullet Train

OHMYGOSSIP — Brian Tyree Henry says Aaron Taylor-Johnson became his “family” while filming ‘Bullet Train’.
The pair play assassin twins, Lemon and Tangerine, in the action comedy movie, and the 40-year-old star admitted he and the ‘Kick-Ass’ actor developed such a close bond shooting the motion picture they ended up finishing each other’s sentences and Henry learnt what Taylor-Johnson liked to snack on.
He said: “I didn’t want the difference of their race to be the punchline. What Aaron and I chose to lean into is why don’t we make it a kinship and a brotherhood that has been around since the dawn of time; they really care about each other and believe each other are brothers.
“We would finish each other’s sentences. I knew what he wanted to snack on in between takes.
“We did so much improvising in this movie, and David, bless his heart, kept most of it in. We just would get together and riff off one another.
“Aaron is truly my family to this day. Family comes from the unlikeliest of places, which is what I think you see with Lemon and Tangerine.”
Henry admits making the film – which stars Brad Pitt as assassin Ladybug, who comes up against numerous enemies while on a job on a Japanese bullet train – was like a “form of therapy” rather than acting work.
He added to Variety: “The relationships that were made and fostered on this movie was unlike anything ever. It really wasn’t work; it was its own form of therapy.”
The movie’s star-studded cast also includes Sandra Bullock, Andrew Koji, Joey King, Michael Shannon, and Hiroyuki Sanada.
The film is based on the Japanese novel ‘Maria Beetle’ by Kotaro Isaka.

Alec Baldwin and former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko board spy thriller Chief of Station

OHMYGOSSIP — Alec Baldwin and Olga Kurylenko have boarded the spy flick ‘Chief of Station’.
The Hollywood star and former Bond girl – who played Camille Montes in 2008’s ‘Quantum of Solace’ alongside Daniel Craig as 007, and is also known for her role as Taskmaster in the 2021 Marvel blockbuster ‘Black Widow’ – will lead Jesse V. Johnson’s upcoming motion picture, Deadline confirms.
‘Chief of Station’ tells the tale of “a former CIA Station Chief (played by Baldwin), after learning that the death of his wife was not an accident, is forced back into the espionage underworld, teaming up with adversaries and a rogue agent (played by Kurylenko) to unravel a conspiracy that challenges everything he thought he knew.”
The ‘White Elephant’ helmer and former stuntman told the outlet: “I am honoured to be collaborating on this epic action adventure with one of the bonafide legends of cinema, and pairing Alec and Olga will certainly bring some on-screen magic, she is a force-of-nature.”
It marks a reunion for Johnson and Kurylenko, 42, as she played the role of Vanessa Flynn in the 2022 crime movie ‘White Elephant’, which starred Bruce Willis as mob boss Arnold Solomon.
In March, it was revealed that Baldwin is set to make his movie comeback in two Italian Christmas comedies, five months after the tragic death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of ‘Rust’.
The 64-year-old star and his brother William Baldwin, 59, are filming live-action animation comedies ‘Kid Santa’ and ‘Billie’s Magic World’ in Italy.
And the pair will appear in the live-action segments of the two movies.
Alec is once again joining forces with filmmaker Francesco Cinquemani, who directed him in the 2015 sci-fi film ‘Andron’.

Fleur East confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Fleur East is the 12th celebrity contestant confirmed for this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ star is “equally nervous and thrilled” to be taking part in the Latin and ballroom competition later this year, and she is doing it to make her late father and her family “proud”.
She said: “I’m equally nervous and thrilled to be part of this year’s ‘Strictly’ line up.
“I’m excited to learn new skills and I want to soak up every moment of this magical experience.
“It’s such an honour to be on the show after years of watching it with my father who loved it so much.
“Unfortunately, my dad is no longer with us but I know he will be watching over the ballroom in spirit.
“I’m doing this to make him and my family proud and can’t wait to get my dancing shoes on!”
Fleur finished runner up on the 11th series of ‘The X Factor’, and she has since appeared on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ in 2018, and became the host of the Hits Radio Breakfast show, which she presents every weekday.
News of the star’s upcoming appearance on ‘Strictly’ was revealed on the breakfast show this morning (11.08.22).
She has also appeared as a presenter on the last three series of ‘Ant Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’ and a host of ITV gameshow ‘The Void’.
Fleur joins Will Mellor, Kym Marsh, Richie Anderson, Kaye Adams, Jayde Adams, Ellie Simmonds, Tyler West, Matt Goss, Ellie Taylor, Molly Rainford and Tony Adams as the other celebrity contestants on this year’s series.

Mo Gilligan wants Big Breakfast to balance out abundance of cookery shows

OHMYGOSSIP — Mo Gilligan thinks ‘The Big Breakfast’ can balance out the abundance of cookery shows on TV.
The 34-year-old comedian – who is to host the revival of the Channel 4 shows alongside AJ Odudu – wants more variety in Saturday morning television and thinks his show can provide it.
He’s quoted by The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column as saying: “I think there’s a gap for Saturday vibes. There’s a lot of great Saturday TV, but there’s a lot of cooking stuff going on Saturdays.
“It’s going to be bringing some comedy to the mornings. Life in general could do with a bit more comedy at the moment.
“With ‘The Big Breakfast’, it’s quite fun and quite silly and just a great wake-up call.”
Phil Gayle will be back as a newsreader, and he agreed that a more diverse TV schedule is needed.
He added: “You can only have so many cookery shows on a Saturday morning.”
AJ has been speaking to former hosts Zoe Ball and Denise Van Outen about the legacy of the programme.
She said: “I worked with Denise on ‘Cooking With The Stars’, and she was just so complimentary of the special and the show.
“She said it was the best show ever to work on, and Zoe said she loved working on it too.”
Denise will be back for the programme’s return on Saturday (13.08.22), after hosting alongside Johnny Vaughan during the 1990s, and she’ll make a guest appearance to hand over the reins to Mo and AJ.
She recently said: “I spent some of the happiest times of my career on ‘The Big Breakfast’ and I’m so excited to be popping in to see the brilliant AJ and Mo for the first show of the new series.
“I can’t think of a better way to kick-start my Saturday.”
She’ll be joined in the special by ‘Loose Women’ star Judi love, who will recreate the famous On the Bed interview and a string of guests including Daniel Kaluuya, Rita Ora, and Joel Dommett are reportedly lined up for the series.
A source said: “There is still so much life left in the ‘Big Breakfast’ formula, as AJ and Mo proved in 2021.
“Everyone at Channel 4 is really excited about what they can bring to the format.
“Having show legend Denise there to christen the new chapter is the icing on the cake — or should I say, the bacon on the bap.”

Gemma Collins ‘became millionaire during lockdown’

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins reportedly became a millionaire during the pandemic.
The former ‘TOWIE’ star and TV presenter had to hand over control of her finances to dad Alan in 2020 after her Brentwood boutique went bust owing £76,000 to creditors, but she is said to have seen a real reversal in fortunes during lockdown.
As reported by The Sun newspaper, company records show the 41-year-old star made £760,000 during the pandemic.
With just over £230,000 worth of assets, she has made it to seven figures.
As well as stints on the likes of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ and ‘Dancing On Ice’ over the years, she has also fronted her own show ‘Gemma Collins: Diva Forever’, and runs her own clothing line.
Gemma previously admitted her dad was controlling her finances.
She said: “My dad controls all my money. Seriously, I have to ask him if I want to upgrade my car.”
The star claimed she had earned a million just through her work on ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ after rising to fame on the show in 2011, and went onto earn £75,000 in one day from Instagram.
However, her expensive taste sparked concern from her parents, and in February 2021 Gemma noted she was on a monthly allowance of £3,000.
She added: “I’m a spender – my dad wrote me up as an absolute disgrace, I’d spent £50,000 in two months up in Knightsbridge.
“It was £1,000 a day over the cause of two months, but I was going through a bit of a hard time …
“I felt disgusted in myself; I went absolutely crazy in Gucci – shoes, bags, coats. I was staying in the Dorchester more or less every night of the week, £600 a pop, and I was wining and dining in there.”

Louise Thompson worries she won’t be ‘strong enough’ to throw son 1st birthday party

OHMYGOSSIP — Louise Thompson is “haunted” by the fear she will not be “strong enough” to throw her son a first birthday party in November.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star has been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) since the traumatic birth of her and her fiance Ryan Libbey’s son Leo in November, and Louise has opened up about being concerned she will be “all over the place” as her boy grows up, and worries that might have an effect on his development.
She wrote on Instagram: “I had a reflexology session the other day (which pretty much doubled up as a therapy session) and we ended up discussing recovery. No surprises there. We agreed that it doesn’t matter what your circumstances are: whether you’re grieving a loss, going through a divorce, physically suffering, dealing with ptsd, dissociation or other mental health conditions, whatever it is… one thing that can make recovery 10x harder is having young children. I absolutely hate to admit it but it’s true. If you’ve been through it, i’m sure you can relate. Having someone (or multiple little people) that 100% depend on you whilst going through a tumultuous time is tough squared. Especially if they’re not at school yet. You have to plaster together that strong facade, sticking to their routine religiously whilst placing one foot in front of the other, reciting ‘this two shall pass’ and PARK your own needs and recovery firmly till the end of the day when you’ve put your little ones to bed and hopefully they’ve drifted off into a DEEP peaceful slumber (the longer the better)… then, and only then, can you unpack everything that is going on in your head. All your emotions are free to spill out into a big fat mess or you can just sit and be still with whatever crap you’re dealing with and try to process it, free from the guilt that you might affect their sponge like brains. As you guys already know one of my biggest recurring fears during this whole process is that I’m going to be all over the place as Leo grows up and that it’s going to have an adverse effect on his development so I try to hide as much as possible during daytime! It honestly haunts me ALL THE TIME. That, and the idea that I won’t be strong enough to throw him a birthday party come November. (sic)”
Louise – who spent five weeks in intensive care after giving birth to Leo – doubts she will ever drink again because she has an “on/off fear” of consuming something that might have an effect on her medication, colitis or her recovery.
She added: “I want more than anything for him to feel loved, nurtured, supported and for him to have fun with his parents. I want stability for him. Not for me to be having constant on off weird moments. I often struggle to explain it to myself or my partner, so I don’t really want to have to explain the complexities of my brain to a poor innocent child. The whole thing also feels quite contradictory because they are the reason that you keep going but also maybe the reason that things take so much longer to process and get better?! I’ve managed to process things quite quickly in the past with talking therapy etc. but this feels so different and SO SLOW. I’ve never suffered with anything like it. My lovely reflexology lady joked how ‘gone are the days’ of getting over things by sleeping in until midday and going out on benders with girlfriends. She was so right. I mean that wouldn’t work for me now anyway with my total fear of lying in bed surrounded by ruminating thoughts and my on off fear of consuming things that might affect my medication, my colitis or my recovery! I don’t think I’ll ever drink again tbh. It’s been nearly two years and I’m WAY too scared.
Talking of having time to yourself in the evening… I’m guessing that us having a really tight routine in the evening might be one of the reasons that I always feel better around 5pm? Something shifts in my brain. The damaged programs in the computer slot back into place. Anyone else experienced this? Maybe it’s because that is my ‘recovery time’. It’s not even a conscious decision but my body is somehow signalling to my brain that I can live without total irrational fear. It’s saying YES. (sic)”
In February, the star revealed she was experiencing depression, severe anxiety, avoidance and PTSD following Leo’s birth.
