Shane Lynch says Ronan Keating is ‘biggest fan’ of Real Housewives of Cheshire

OHMYGOSSIP — Shane Lynch insists Ronan Keating is “the biggest fan” of ‘The Real Housewives of Cheshire’.
The 46-year-old singer has appeared on the show a number of times with his wife Sheena – who joined the cast of the ITVBe series last year – and his former Boyzone bandmate has been tuning in.
He told OK! magazine: “Ronan’s the biggest fan of the show I think. He calls me after every episode and asks about everything.”
Despite Ronan’s love for the series, Shane doesn’t think the ‘No Matter What’ hitmakers will reunite for their own reality show in the future.
He added: “We tried to do something years ago. I don’t think you’ll see us back on telly like that.”
Ronan’s 23-year-old son Jack Keating did make the jump to reality TV recently, as he appeared on this year’s ‘Love Island’ as a surprise Casa Amor bombshell.
Shane appeared on the celebrity edition back in 2006 and he admitted he would have encouraged his friend’s boy to turn down the offer.
He explained: “I didn’t even know [he was going on the show]! You’re not allowed to tell anybody when you’re going on a show like that and he did keep it really quiet.
“Jack’s a lovely boy and I think if I was to give him any advice I would have told him not to go on it!
“He’s such a nice kid, not that the other lads weren’t, but it’s a different bravado. Jack’s more gathered and is more focused on his career than a life in reality TV.”
Meanwhile, ‘Real Housewives of Cheshire’ will return on Monday (22.08.22) at 9pm on ITVBe, and the first episode will see Sheena and Shane celebrating a year of their super car business, and they’ll be inviting a new friend along.

Samantha Womack recuperating after undergoing breast cancer operation

OHMYGOSSIP — Samantha Womack is recuperating after undergoing a breast cancer operation.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actress, 49, revealed earlier this month that she was battling the disease, and she is now resting up after going under the knife.
Sam – who is dating former ‘Coronation Street’ actor Oliver Farnworth, 39 – wrote on Instagram: “Recuperating after breast cancer op. My love makes me turmeric and ginger in the morning and homemade butternut squash soup in the evening……. #feeling loved and grateful (sic)”
The ‘Babes in the Wood’ star took to Twitter less than two weeks ago to pay tribute to actress Olivia Newton-John – who fought breast cancer for 30 years – following her death earlier that week aged 73, and during her heartfelt post Samantha revealed she was starting her own “battle with [the] disease”, and she was “deeply moved” following the ‘Grease’ star’s passing.
Sam shared a picture of herself, Olivia and Olivia’s daughter Chloe, 36, after they went to see the ‘Mount Pleasant’ actress when she was playing Sandy – Olivia’s character’ in the 1978 movie – in the West End.
She captioned the image: “This was the most magical of evenings. Olivia and Chloe had come to see Grease in London and we had dinner together afterwards. I was so excited and in awe, she was my childhood. I now start my own battle with this disease and am left feeling deeply moved. #OliviaNewtonJohn (sic)”
The star – who played Ronnie Mitchell in ‘EastEnders’ from 2007 to 2017 – recently admitted she feels “proud” she is able to speak to her ex-husband Mark Womack, who she split from in 2020, “two or three times a day”.
Sam – who has two kids, Benjamin, 21, and 17-year-old Lily, with her ex – said: “Mark and I raised a family really well, so we agreed that we didn’t mind separating in terms of a traditional marriage, but actually I would really have suffered if we hadn’t maintained a friendship, because that was part of my life for 20 years.
“We speak to each other two or three times a day, Mark will say, ‘Can I pop round next week – can you have the two Chihuahuas?’ and I’ll say, ‘Yeah, but can you have the cat next week?’ ”

Ruth Wilson to star in The Woman in the Wall

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Wilson is to star in ‘The Woman in the Wall’.
The ‘Affair’ actress will appear alongside ‘Peaky Blinders’ actor Daryl McCormack in the six-part BBC One gothic thriller, which Ruth will also executive produce alongside series creator Joe Murtagh and director Harry Wootliff.
She said: “Lorna Brady is a complex and fascinating character and I’m thrilled to help bring her to life.
“In ‘The Woman in the Wall’ Joe has created both an enthralling gothic thriller and a moving examination of the legacy of The Magdalene Laundries. It’s a privilege to bring this story to screens.”
Ruth will take on the role of Lorna, a woman from the small, fictional town of Kilkinure, who wakes one morning to find a corpse in her house.
Lorna, who has long suffered from extreme bouts of sleepwalking, has no idea who the woman is or if she is responsible for the killing.
The thriller will examine the legacy of one of Ireland’s most shocking scandals – the inhumane institutions known as “The Magdalene Laundries”, a place where women were taken when they fell afoul of the social mores of their times – from those accused of committing adultery to teenage pregnancies.
Creator and Executive Producer Joe said: “My family is from Mayo, the county in which the fictional Kilkinure is set, and it deeply frustrates and saddens me that it feels so few people have heard of the Laundries that existed across Ireland.
“I hope that by making something that has the familiarity of a genre piece we are able to shed some light on the awful things that occurred within these kind of institutions and introduce this history to the wider public, so that nothing like it may ever happen again.”
Ben Irving, Acting Director of BBC Drama, added: “It’s a real pleasure to announce this remarkable new series for BBC One and iPlayer.
“Joe Murtagh’s scripts are surprising, moving, and continually compelling, with two lead characters who I cannot wait to see brought to life by the extraordinary talents of Ruth Wilson and Daryl McCormack.
“With Harry Wootliff in the director’s chair, audiences are in for six incredible hours of drama.”

Explaining that the doll belonged to one of his daughters with Eva Mendes, Ryan added: “I texted it to Greta and said, ‘I shall be your Ken, for this story must be told.'”

Rose Ayling-Ellis quits EastEnders after two years

OHMYGOSSIP — Rose Ayling-Ellis has quit ‘EastEnders’ to embrace “new challenges”.
The 27-year-old star – who has played Frankie Lewis for two years on the BBC soap – is set to leave the shows months after winning ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, and she wants to focus on other projects and opportunities.
In a statement, she said: “It’s been incredibly special to be EastEnders’ first regular deaf actor.
“I have loved my time on the show and Frankie has been such an awesome character to play, however now feels like the right time for me to move on and I am excited and ready for new challenges.
“I will always treasure my time on the show and all the incredible people I have worked with, who have supported my growth as an actor these last two years and given me so many amazing memories.
“I am excited for viewers to see Frankie’s exit storyline; I think it’s a really important one that will hit home for lots of people.”
Her final scenes are set to air later this year.
The show’s executive producer Chris Clenshaw heaped praise on Rose and hailed her as a “real trailblazer”.
He added: “I have only had the pleasure to work with Rose for a short time but she has always been an incredible asset to ‘EastEnders’; not just as a phenomenal actor, but as an amazing company member too.
“As part of the Carter family, Rose has shone in important narratives such as discovering she’s Mick Carter’s daughter as a result of child abuse; and she will soon tackle the important issue highlighting women’s safety on the streets.
“We at ‘EastEnders’ are incredibly proud of everything Rose has achieved – she’s a real trailblazer, and we wish her every success.”
Rose recently joined forces with Barbie on a campaign revealing Mattel’s first version of the dolls with hearing aids.

Romesh Ranganathan gives pupils hope with his own results day woes

OHMYGOSSIP — Romesh Ranganathan “got found out” when he tried to coast through his A-Levels.
The 44-year-old comedian and TV presenter has become a big star in the UK but he admitted his success arrived despite not putting in a lot of effort when it came to his exams as a teenager.
Appearing on ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Thursday (18.08.22), as children up and down were opening their exam results, he said: “Basically, I did quite well at GCSE without doing any work and then I used that policy for A-Level and got found out pretty badly.
“I got a C and two Ds, so when I was watching that, I’ll be honest with you, I was really happy for the kids but also slightly hated them for doing better than me.
“I’m hoping my mum’s not watching! She’s just gonna phone me up and go, ‘Why couldn’t you be like them?!’ ”
Romesh admitted watching scenes of school kids getting their own results “brought it all back” for him as he reflected on what was a very emotional day.
He added: “I was watching some of the scenes there of people getting their results, and it just brought it all back. It’s such a highly charged experience.
“The kids have got so much – they’ve pinned so many of their hopes on what those results are. I don’t miss the nerves of that, to be honest with you.”
Romesh – who has kids Alex, Charlie and Theo with his wife Leesa – might be offering some hope for children up and down the country on results day, but he previously admitted he “agonises” over his own parenting.
He said: “Listen, I ask lots of questions about how I parent, I worry about it, and you agonise over it, and that’s fine for me to do that, and it’s fine for Leesa and myself to do that.
“If somebody else dared suggest, I’d completely understand why you’d lose your s*** about that.”

Paramount working on Ferris Bueller’s Day Off spin-off

OHMYGOSSIP — Paramount Pictures is working on a ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’ spin-off.
The 1986 teen movie written, co-produced, and directed by John Hughes and starring Matthew Broderick as a high school slacker who skips school, with two of his friends is set for an update, from the creators of ‘Cobra Kai’, according to Deadline.
The upcoming film ‘Sam and Victor’s Day Off’ will follow two new characters on the same day that Ferris (Broderick) and his pals Cameron (Alan Ruck) and Sloane (Mia Sara) skipped school.
‘Cobra Kai’s Jon Hurwtiz, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Heald are producing the film, while their head of development Dina Hillier executive produces.
Bill Posley is set to write the screenplay, while a director has yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Matthew, 60, previously revealed he almost turned down the starring role in the classic movie.
He said: “I thought [the script] was great, and I had a teeny hesitation because having just done [the plays] ‘Brighton Beach Memoirs’ and ‘Biloxi Blues’.
“I was like, ‘Wow, I’m talking to the audience, just like in these plays’ … and even in [the 1985 movie] ‘Ladyhawke’ he talks to the camera a bit.
“You know, when you’re young or starting out you think, “I have to do something different.
‘My memory is, before I had hung up the phone, my agent was like behind me in the room, saying, ‘Yes, you should do it.’
“He flew to New York. ‘I’ll see you tomorrow. Let’s just not talk about it anymore now, I’ll see you tomorrow,’ and he came and was suddenly in the room with me, saying, ‘Yeah, I do think you should do it.'”

Oscar Isaac didn’t feel awkward doing sex scenes with close pal Jessica Chastain

OHMYGOSSIP — Oscar Isaac didn’t feel awkward shooting sex scenes with Jessica Chastain despite their long friendship.
The ‘Scenes From A Marriage’ co-stars have been close pals for years but the 43-year-old actor insisted the level of “trust” between them meant they were relaxed on set.
Asked about any potential awkwardness, he told ‘The Jess Cagle Podcast with Julia Cunningham’: “I don’t know, generally. I guess with us, we have a lot of trust in each other.
“We’re really in the whole play of the whole thing, it didn’t feel that awkward.”
Oscar also praised the way the scenes were shot and insisted the repetitive nature of filming more intimate moments can actually be what makes things difficult.
He laughed: “I think also actually having some length of time – you know what can be really awkward in those scenes? When you’re kind of having to do one move for a long time.
“Because sex, generally – I’ve never had it, but I hear it progresses from one stage to the next.
“But because of the nature of some of these, we could have a little story to the lovemaking. So, that was good!”
Jessica and Oscar have been close since acting school, and he admitted it didn’t take long for them to become friends.
He said: “We met in school, Juilliard. She was a couple of years ahead of me. I don’t remember the first day we met, but she was sort of dating a friend of mine that was in my class.
“We started hanging out and became very quick friends. We just really got along right off the bat and I respect her so much. She really helped me, we were each other’s cheerleaders early on.”
He likened his on-screen chemistry with Jessica to a pair of flatworms.
The Hollywood star – who has also starred in films such as ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ and ‘Ex Machina’ said: “I was just watching this video of this guy, it’s like a Ted Talk, talking about these little … flatworms. You can cut them into like 100 pieces and they will grow a whole new worm out of the little piece.
“So they’re basically kind of immortal and they’ve been doing work at the cellular level where they’re seeing that the cells kind of talk to each other through electricity and kind of decide, ‘Okay you’re going to make the head. I’m going to make the tail.’ They’re communicating through some sort of like electro kind of magnetic situation.
“If you interfere with these [worms], you can make them grow two heads and they’ll continue to do that. It’s not DNA. It’s just at the cellular level.
“That’s how Jessica and I kind of talk to each other. We’re just like, little flatworms.”

On The Buses and Carry On actress Anna Karen left most of her £400k estate to ex-EastEnders star friend Sophie Lawrence

OHMYGOSSIP — On The Buses and Carry On actress Anna Karen left most of her estate to her former EastEnders star friend Sophie Lawrence.
According to probate records uncovered by the Mail On Sunday, Miss Karen – who played downtrodden wife Olive Rudge in the ITV sitcom between 1969 and 1973 – left £427,197.
Her will was also said to have bequeathed 65% of her net estate to her 50-year-old Miss Lawrence – who played Diane Butcher in EastEnders between 1988 and 1991 – after payment of funeral and legal costs, inheritance tax and a £1,500 legacy to another friend.
Miss Karen’s will left another fifth of the “residuary” of her estate to her stepdaughter Gloria Gill, the daughter of her actor husband Terry Duggan, who died aged 76 in 2008.
Another eighth was left to four other friends or relatives and the final 2.5 per cent was left to the Actors’ Benevolent Fund.
Miss Karen, bon Ann Duggan, also appeared in BBC One’s EastEnders between 1996 and 2017, portraying Aunt Sal, the sister of Peggy Mitchell, played by Barbara Windsor.
The actress died in February in a fire at her terrace home in Ilford, East London, which neighbours believe was started by a cigarette after she fell asleep while smoking.
Miss Lawrence, who was born in Ilford, now lives in Norwich and reached No 21 in the UK singles charts in 1991 with a cover version of Donna Summer’s 1977 song ‘Love’s Unkind’.
The friends once toured with the comedy show ‘Bazaar Rummage’, based on a book by Sue Townsend.
Born in South Africa, Miss Karen was a striptease artist to pay her way through drama school and featured in 74 episodes of ‘On The Buses’ as well as three spin-off films.
She also appeared in ‘Carry On Camping’ and ‘Carry On Loving’.

Millie Bobby Brown: Enola Holmes 2 is important for my career

OHMYGOSSIP — Millie Bobby Brown considers ‘Enola Holmes 2’ to be the “most important moment” of her career so far.
The 18-year-old actress stars in and produces the Netflix mystery sequel and considers it to be significant as she helped to develop the movie from the early stages of production.
Millie told Entertainment Weekly: “(‘Enola Holmes’) may be the most important moment in my career so far because it’s something that I developed.
“It’s rewarding. Obviously, it can be tiring, and when you look back on it, you’re like, ‘Gosh, I can’t believe I didn’t fall asleep.’ But there were so many things that I got to be a part of, and I was really grateful for that.”
The ‘Stranger Things’ star continued: “My age and gender has never defined (my job), so everyone on set really respected me and heard me. It was such a nice environment to be able to experience.”
Mille stars in the film as Enola Holmes, the younger sister of famous detective Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill) and revealed that she formed a close bond with the ‘Superman’ actor on set.
She joked: “Despite our humungous age difference – and he’s going to hate that I said that – Henry and I had such a great chemistry on set.
“Being able to play his younger sister, it’s quite easy. I have an older brother, and I know how easy it is to annoy him, get on his nerves, make him laugh. I know his weaknesses. I know his strengths. I basically just use that with my brother, so I actually used that on Henry, too.”
Harry Bradbeer returns as director and revealed that he takes Enola out of her comfort zone in the flick.
He said: “I wanted this story to be a grittier one. I wanted to introduce her to working-class girls in a working-class world. I wanted it to be a completely new world for Enola, so she was more out of her depth.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Goss celebrated his return to Britain by drinking with Beefeaters in the Tower of London.
The 53-year-old singer is returning home after more than a decade in Las Vegas, and Matt has revealed he celebrated his comeback by enjoying some pints in the London landmark.
He shared: “I went to a mate’s at the Tower of London. I have a couple of Yeoman friends.
“There is a pub inside the Tower where you can have a pint. There are fewer Yeomen than there are people in space.
“They do come, undercover, to the shows, they come to Vegas.
“I have been there for 11 years, four shows a week, and on stage everyone is equal.
“Everyone gets treated exactly the same. I think that is how I have met so many people from so many walks of life.”
Matt is proudly British and he wishes other people were more patriotic.
The Bros singer – who is to star on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ this year – told Dom Joly on his ‘Sunday Session’ radio show: “I think it is OK if you were born here to say, ‘Please respect our country’.
“I don’t think it is in any way controversial. I think it is fine. This is our home – contribute and love it.
“If someone continually complains to me about this place it does rub me the wrong way.”
Matt also believes Brits need to be “less afraid” to be themselves.
He said: “There are things that need to be corrected about this country. Everyone is terrified to say it and I’m not.
“I am a civilised gentleman and I will always treat people with kindness. But I also think there is a need for … we need to be less afraid of ourselves and say how it is.
“Imagine this – it is OK to be proud of where you are born. There is no racial connotation to that, it is being proud of where you were born.
“If I was born in Iceland I would be proud of Iceland.”

Love Island star Amber Gill admits to coming out by ‘accident’

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Gill “accidentally” confirmed she was “switching teams”.
The former ‘Love Island’ star swore off men via a couple of Twitter posts in July – but Amber has now admitted she hadn’t planned to put such a message on social media.
Her tweet read: “Switching teams was the best decision I made in my life.”
She later added: “Watching men makes me feel ill. I couldn’t put myself through it again.”
Amber, 25, has now confirmed that her post was an “off-the-cuff moment”.
Speaking on FUBAR Radio’s ‘Access All Areas’, she explained: “Accidentally, I remember looking at [the tweet] and thinking s***, what have I said.
“Like a lot of my friends were like, ‘If you were gonna do it any way, that’s the typical way that you would do that’. Normally people have these lovely, beautiful stories and lovely, beautiful, real Instagram posts, like just lush. I’ve put switching teams on a tweet and that’s how I came out.”
Amber won ‘Love Island’ alongside Greg O’Shea in 2019.
However, their romance only lasted two weeks outside of the villa, and Amber is now much more particular about who she dates.
She shared: “I find it really difficult, and I can’t, like, I really don’t know, like, the reason behind it. But I just, yeah, I’m very picky now. And like, very like attuned to what I like and what I don’t like so I don’t know if it’s that’s part of the reason.”
Amber also confessed to being “way harsher” on guys than girls.
She explained: “I would hate if someone is on Instagram too much, like wanting to take pictures of everything. This is for a guy, though, I don’t have that many icks when it comes to girls. But for guys, I’m way harsher.”

Lauren Goodger thanks fans for support after ‘horrendous’ time

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Goodger has thanked her fans for their support following an “horrendous” time in her life.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star tragically lost her daughter Lorena last month after her baby was born with her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck, her boyfriend Charles Drury was then arrested, and subsequently bailed, over an alleged assault on her following the little one’s funeral, and last month her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean – who she dated from 2012 to 2016 – died aged 33 following a car crash.
The 35-year-old star – who has 12-month-old daughter Larose with Charles – has now taken to Instagram to reveal she has “lost but also gained some values” during such a “traumatic time”, and she has been asking her late daughter Lorena to give her “strength and courage”.
She wrote: “Just want to say thank you to everyone for all the love and support in this horrendous terrible whirlwind in my life the last few weeks! I do read your messages thank you.
During this traumatic time I’ve lost but I’ve also gained some values in this awful heartbroken time … some new friends and become closer to my current ones and some family ..it really has shown me who is meant to be in my life and I love each and every one one of you thank you .. I only have a few and that’s all I need and it’s taught me some life long lessons however hard it’s been.
Asked Lorena when I had her at home the night before her funeral ‘please guide me please let my life, lead the path it’s meant to be and give me strength and courage’ and a lot changed instantly and I trust her. She is making my new path thank you Lorena I love you and I know you’re with me always and I know you’ve cleared out and made way for what’s meant to be. (sic)”
Lauren also admitted the last few months have made her realise that Larose is her “rock”.
She added: “I don’t know why I have no answers but I have to trust the process I’ll never ever get over it but I’m learning and Larose is my rock. She has kept me going mentally and physically I love you so much my special girl (sic)”
Builder Charles, 25, was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of assault and later bailed “pending further inquiries”.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said at the time: “Police were called at 00.37 hrs on Thursday, August 4 to reports of an altercation at a residential address in Upminster, Essex.
“Officers attended. At the scene a woman, aged 30s, was found with facial injuries.
“A man, aged 25, was arrested on suspicion of assault.
“He was taken to an east London police station and subsequently bailed pending further inquiries. Inquiries continue.”
Lauren recently admitted she “doesn’t blame anyone” for the death of her daughter.
Speaking in July, she said: “I plan to go to see her soon to say my final goodbyes. I wasn’t going to have a post-mortem at first, but I changed my mind. I feel like I need answers. I need more of an understanding of why this happened. I don’t blame anyone, I can’t.
“It is what it is, and obviously, it’s awful. I’d do anything to rewind it. I guess I can blame myself, but then again I think it’s happened and I can’t change it.
“I have to try and move forwards and accept it. But first I need to understand it. That’s why I changed my mind about the post-mortem.”

Kate Garraway’s Covid stricken husband Derek Draper ‘back in hospital for serious procedure’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Garraway’s Covid stricken husband Derek Draper is said to be back in hospital.
The 54-year-old former political advisor – thought to be the longest suffering patient with the virus in Britain – is believed to have been taken in for a “serious medical procedure” amid his ongoing battle with the disease.
It’s being reported Good Morning Britain host Kate, 55, was at his bedside on Thursday night (18.08.22) to nurse him through his latest health fright, which comes two weeks after she posted a picture on Instagram of her and Derek with their two kids in happier times.
A source told The Sun on Friday night (19.08.22): “This is another hammer blow for poor Derek.
“He is giving the fight against covid his absolute all, but his kidneys have suffered some pretty serious damage.
“Doctors explained there was no alternative but to operate. Of course Kate and the family are worried but she’s been reassured the procedure itself is routine.
“Everyone has everything crossed, and Kate is being her usual stoical self and keeping everything running, business as usual, on the home front.”
Derek suffered significant and lasting damage to his organs after being put on a ventilator in intensive care with Covid, spending 13 months in hospital before being released for home care with Kate.
Kate was last month forced to take time off Good Morning Britain and her Smooth FM radio show to look after her husband.
As well as helping him virtually 24 hours a day, she has to do seven loads of washing a day due to his sheets being drenched in sweats and has had their London home adapted so he can live on the ground floor.
She has also revealed she is now spending “pretty much all my time in hospital”, in an update on Derek she gave on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain after returning to the show.
Derek was last month raced to hospital with “life-threatening sepsis”.
Kate said Derek had developed a kidney infection that developed dangerous complications and was left at risk of losing one of the organs.

John Stamos wants MCU role

OHMYGOSSIP — John Stamos wants a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The 58-year-old actor is currently voicing Iron Man / Tony Stark in Marvel’s animated ‘Spidey and his Amazing Friends’ season two but he admitted he would love to tackle a feature film for the studio.
When asked if he would consider joining the MCU, John told Collider: “Are you kidding me? In a flash. It’s Flash? Oh, that’s the other one.
“I would do it in two seconds. First of all, especially doing these voices, I was like, ‘Okay. Maybe it’s time for me to do a full feature film for you guys’. I haven’t been offered anything. I often think I really know nothing about it. If I ever did, it would take me a month to try to figure it out. I might watch with my wife.”
And John revealed he is a big fan of Elizabeth Olsen’s work as Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch in the MCU.
John – who worked with Elizabeth’s sisters Mary-Kate and Ashely on ‘Full House’- said: “I’ll leave it to the Olsen twins’ sister. She’s doing pretty good. I can’t believe it. I knew her, obviously, when she was a little girl when she’d come on the [‘Full House’] set. There’s a really cute picture I posted a while ago of her and I. She would come down, and I’d tickle her, and she’d run. I watched her recently on one of them. I was so impressed. She’s so good. I would love it.”
And John is a huge fan of the MCU, praising Robert Downey Jr for kicking off the successful ‘Avengers’ franchise with ‘Iron Man’.
He said: “It was so brilliant the way they… I guess it started with Robert Downey. They were getting the top greatest actors to play these roles. You would think these roles would be a little just on paper, there wasn’t such depth to them, but to bring in these genius actors like they have… to this day, they bring on the best people to do these characters. Obviously, I get why it’s so popular. It’s such a great culture.
“My wife, my mother-in-law, and my brother-in-law, they are total geeks. I took them to Comic-Con a few years ago. I love it because they’re fans. My mother-in-law, who I love, she’s such a fan of this world, she’ll stand in line. We were at Comic-Con, and she was going to spend the night in line overnight to see one of the Marvel panels. I was there with ‘Scream Queens’ and I said, ‘Let me try to get it so you don’t have to spend the night on the floor.’ Then I think I got her in. That was pretty cool.”
