Anna Williamson warns One Night viewers about ‘lots of willy chat’ on wild dating show

OHMYGOSSIP — Anna Williamson has warned viewers to expect “a lot of willy chat” in her new dating show.
The ‘Celebs Go Dating’ expert is fronting new E4 series ‘One Night Stand’, which sees people reunited after their one-off encounter to find out if there’s potential for a more serious relationship.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: “There’s a lot of willy chat and it does make for some very amusing telly.
“One of my favourite bits is when one of the girls says, ‘All I can remember is you had a massive penis’.
“I think that just sets the tone for the whole show. Out of all the feedback you can have in life, I’d imagine a guy would be pretty OK with that, especially on national telly.”
Meanwhile, the AGE-year-old star also teased the possibility of fronting another dating show after ‘Love Island’ presenter Laura Whitmore decided to step down after three series.
Asked if she would be itnerested in taking on the role, she said: “It depends what sphere they would want to go with ‘Love Island’.
“Put it this way, if they wanted a host who could be hands-on with the Islanders, call them out and pick them up and coach them on their dating skills then absolutely.
“Why not? I might put my head in the ring.”
However, Anna – who claimed she’s “probably a bit old” for the job – also pointed to the level of fame and scrutiny that comes with such a high profile show.
She added: “There’s a lot of things to factor in. It’s a very highly scrutinised TV show.
“I was really sad Laura stepped down from it. I know her and I think she’s terrific.”
Laura – whose husband Iain Stirling narrates the show – recently revealed she was quitting the programme because she finds some elements of the series “very difficult”.
She wrote on Instagram: “Some news! I won’t be hosting the next series of Love island. There are certain elements of the show I’ve found very difficult that cannot be changed some due to the format, including the flying back and forth to South Africa along with my new conflicting projects.
“I wish it was still possible but know you’ll be in safe hands. I was only planning to fill in for Caroline for a series and it turned into 3 series. I hope I did you proud Caroline (sic)”

Jeremy Clarkson: We’ve had our biggest ever drop on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson says he has seen the “biggest ever” cash drop on ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’
The 62-year-old TV star hosts the long-running game show – which sees contestants answer a series of 15 general knowledge questions to reach a maximum prize of £1 million – and revealed that an upcoming episode features an “extremely alarming moment” where a player loses £124,000 after getting a question wrong, breaking the chain of correct answers and falling back to their safety net of £1,000.
He said: “I think we’ve had our biggest-ever drop. Somebody went to £125,000 without a safety net and – can I say this – f*****it up. So that really was an extremely alarming moment. It really, really was. Horrific. Imagine going home after you’ve lost £124,000? Unbelievable.”
Meanwhile, former ‘Top Gear’ host Jeremy – who took over hosting duties on ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ from Chris Tarrant when ITV revived the beloved format in 2018 – has also found success with his Amazon documentary series ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ and explained that he enjoys the “variety” of his life and career.
He told RadioTimes.com: “I like variety. I was doing cows at six this morning and now I’m here so it’s lovely to have variety in the day. And apparently, I’ve accidentally bought a pub I’ve got to go and look at in a minute because I bought a brewery. Anyway, it’s nice to have lots of different things to do in the day.”
Meanwhile, Jeremy previously insisted he wouldn’t be hugging contestants on ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’, insisting he doesn’t like “hugging other men” because he feels like his “genitals are perilously close to theirs”.
He added: “I don’t even like hugging women especially. It’s too intimate and there’s always a danger that they’re going to report you to the police. Especially if you’ve only just met them in a park. And then there’s the nightmare of the kiss on each cheek. It sounds so easy but you’d be amazed how often I get it wrong.”
‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ is set to return on Saturday 3 September at 9:30pm on ITV.

Kerry Katona has ‘never heard’ of any of this year’s Strictly contestants

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona has “never heard of any” of this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestants.
The BBC ballroom competition is set to return to screens in September and has a lineup including ‘Loose Women’ star Kaye Adams, Bros’ Matt Goss and former ‘Coronation Street’ actress Kym Marsh, but ex Atomic Kitten singer Kerry will be watching ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ on Channel 4 instead.
She said: “The ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ line-up is one of the best I’ve ever seen. I know most of the people on there, which is completely different to Strictly’s line-up this year – I haven’t heard of any of them!”
The 41-year-old star went on to complain that the lineup was “so random” but when it comes to the Channel 4 survival show – which for this series will feature the likes of ‘TOWIE alum Ferne McCann, ‘EastEnders’ actress Maisie Smith and javelin athlete Fatima Whitbread – she will be backing footballer Ashley Cain to win the military-style training series after he lost his eight-month old daughter Azaylia to cancer back in 2021.
Writing in her new! magazine column, she added: “It’s so random. I want to see people I know! The SAS lot will do great. I’m backing Ashley Cain all the way. He’s taking part in memory of his daughter Azaylia and I really hope he wins!”
Meanwhile, Kerry previously admitted that while she would “love” to take part on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, she competed on ITV rival ‘Dancing on Ice’ back in 2011 and joked that she is “not BBC material”.
She said: “I’d love to do ‘Strictly’, but I don’t think they’ll have me because I did ‘Dancing on Ice’ and I just don’t think I’m BBC material.”
‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ is set to air on Channel 4 from September 4, while ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ will return to BBC One on September 17.

Helen Skelton ‘signs up for Lorraine job’

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Skelton has reportedly signed up for a new role on ‘Lorraine’.
The 39-year-old star – who split from husband Richie Myler earlier this year – is said to be putting her heartbreak behind her with a new presenting job on the ITV show fronting a segment called ‘Me Time’ focused on “physical, mental and emotional wellbeing”.

Meanwhile, Helen has admitted she sees her work as “me time” when it’s a project she really enjoys.
She said: “I took up golf last year to carve out some me time. Spending time in and among greenery is definitely good for me. Fresh air and good views always make me feel better.
“I love water too, so a walk by the lake or in the woods is good for me. My boys are the same. If they’re happy, I am.
“I try to be grateful – and am lucky that work is often enjoyable, so I feel like work is sometimes ‘me time.’ ”
Helen – who has fronted the likes of ‘Countryfile’ and ‘On The Farm’ – recently signed up for the new series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, having previously competed on the BBC Latin and ballroom show’s 2014 Christmas special, and the former ‘Blue Peter’ star revealed it was a no-brainer to take part in a full series.
She recently said: “I did the Christmas one the other year.
“The hair is the best, the make-up is incredible, the costumes are incredible. Who gets to go to work and be made to look a bit like Beyonce and have a fun time?
“I thought this is madness not to do it, of course I should do it, it will be so much fun.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Xochitl Gomez are to star in ‘Ursa Major’.
The ‘Birds of Prey’ actress and ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ star have joined the cast of the sci-fi thriller from sibling directors Jonathan and Josh Baker.
Winstead and Gomez will star as Charlie and Natalie, a mother and daughter fighting for survival on an Earth-like planet as they hide from a group of relentless hunters with the added threat of a deadly storm approaching.

The Baker brothers are directing ‘Ursa Major’ from an original script by Patrick Somerville – the creator of the HBO Max series ‘Station Eleven’. He co-wrote the film with Colleen O’Brien and Katie French and is producing with David Eisenberg.
Mary starred as Helena Bertinelli/The Huntress in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) film ‘Birds of Prey’ and hopes to return to the role, even though she “doesn’t know” what’s in store for the character.
The 37-year-old actress: “I’m down for anything, really.
“I think Huntress is such a fun character, I don’t know if there’s any plans in the future to continue that version of Huntress, because there’s a few different versions out there, in the comic books there’s different versions, so I don’t know if that’s what’s in store.
“But I’m happy I got the chance to do at least one iteration of her and if that iteration continues then I’d love to be a part of it, but we’ll see what happens.”

Sharon Horgan has a ‘recurring nightmare’ about killing someone

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharon Horgan has a “recurring nightmare” about killing someone.
The 52-year-old actress has written new show ‘Bad Sisters’ ‘ in which she stars alongside Eve Hewson as a pair of sisters who are caught up in a plot to murder their brother-in-law – and joked that her Google search history since penning the series would get her into “a lot of trouble.”
Asked if writing the series got her thinking about committing the perfect murder, she said: “Oh, it absolutely did! I mean, my Google search history would get me into a lot of trouble! You know that recurring nightmare where you’ve killed someone? Well, I dream about it quite a lot! I think you get it when you’re stressed and the big thing after is – how do you get away with it? So, writing ‘Bad Sisters’ was a sort of fulfillment, because now I know! But you’ll have to watch to find out how!”
The former ‘Pulling’ star went on to describe the series as a “howdunnit” as opposed to a “whodunnit” and teased that the performance of ex-‘Shameless’ actress Anne Marie Duff as a victim of domestic abuse will “blow everyone away.”
She told Metro newspaper’s SixtySeconds column: “It’s such a ride! Watching a bunch of Irish women trying and failing at killing a villain over and over again is really fun. This isn’t a whodunnit, it’s a howdunnit. It’s so driven by what happens to the p****of a brother-in-law. And, at the heart of it, it’s an examination of an abusive relationship. I felt respectful of that. You have this dark, moving side with Anne-Marie Duff, whose performance is going to blow everyone away. She always blows everyone away but this is a really beautiful piece of work.”
‘Bad Sisters’ is streaming now on Apple +.

Darius Campbell Danesh laid to rest

OHMYGOSSIP — Darius Campbell Danesh has been laid to rest.
The 41-year-old singer was found dead in his apartment in Rochester, Minnesota, on August 11, and on Thursday (25.08.22), around 100 mourners gathered in his hometown of Bearsden, Glasgow, for the ‘Colourblind’ hitmaker’s funeral.
According to the Scottish Sun, a lone piper played ‘Caledonia’ during the sombre procession.
Darius’ close friend Gerard Butler was among the mourners, as was comic Omid Djalili.
Omid shared on Twitter: “Funeral today in Bearsden, Glasgow for Darius Campbell Danesh. Such a lovely talented man gone way too soon.
“People were always taken aback by how much of a true gentleman he was. God bless his soul. Rest in peace my brother.”
Gerard previously paid a lengthy tribute to his “dear friend” following his shock death.
The ‘300’ star wrote on Instagram: “I am devastated by the sudden passing of my dear friend Darius, a true brother in arms. My thoughts and love go to his wonderful mum and dad Avril and Booth and his two brilliant brothers Aria and Cyrus.
“To those lucky enough to have met Darius for more than a few minutes, they were deeply moved by his infectious laugh and barely containable zest for life. He was always armed with a smile, a booming voice, and a genuinely warm embrace that few could resist-nor would they want to!!! He was an incredible talent, a singer whose voice touched your soul and an actor with great presence. But, most importantly, he had the heart of a lion. It was bigger and brighter than the sun and an energy so contagious he could light up a room in seconds.
“Our boy Darius was always constant and unwavering in his passion for life. But a bigger constant was his dream to inspire others to better themselves. He talked the talk but boy, did he walk the walk. He had such purity of thought, a deep wisdom and constant gratitude for people, for life, a compassion towards all. His hilarious self-deprecating sense of humor (he was funny as s***) allowed him to stay humble – something he valued deeply. Darius’ undying commitment to being of service to individuals- his family, his friends (none more so than me) and to the world at large made him the perfect friend- He led by example but he was also a teacher, as he pushed those he loved to be the best possible versions of themselves. Simu Liu ready for ‘villain era’

OHMYGOSSIP — Simu Liu is excited to be entering his “villain era”.
The ‘Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings’ star will play the antagonist in upcoming Netflix sci-fi movie ‘Atlas’ – which will also star Jennifer Lopez, Sterling K. Brown, and Abraham Popoola – and he couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of the “phenomenal” cast.
Sharing the casting announcement on Twitter, he wrote: “Excited to be joining this phenomenal cast of humans as I ENTER MY VILLAIN ERA MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH (sic)”
Brad Peyton will direct the drama which tells the story of an intelligence analyst who gets stranded on a distant planet and must learn to fight inside a military-grade mech suit in order to survive.
Aron Eli Colette has written the screenplay for the movie and worked off an original script by Leo Sardarian.
‘Atlas’ is part of the creative partnership between Lopez’s Nuyorican Productions and Netflix which sees J.Lo, her producing partner Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and manager Benny Medina working on a slate of films, TV series and other content with the streaming giant.
The partnership has a focus on projects that support female actors, writers and filmmakers.
Simu has been cast as a Ken doll in the new ‘Barbie’ movie and revealed that he has been waxing his body for the highly-anticipated new flick, which is also set to star Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
The 33-year-old actor said: “Waxing has been an education to say the least. It was one of the most painful experiences of my life. I have such a newfound admiration for the incredibly brave women who go through this on a monthly basis.”
Little is known about the plot of the ‘Barbie’ movie and Simu is a fan of how movie bosses have approached the project.
He said: “Honestly, the discourse online is giving me life. With every casting announcement or bit of news, they’re like: ‘What is this?’ And that’s perfect – the less you know about it the better.”

EastEnders star Richard Blackwood had ‘nightmares’ over Celebrity Masterchef

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Blackwood had “nightmares” over ‘Celebrity Masterchef.’
The 50-year-old soap star is part of the lineup for the celebrity edition of the BBC One cookery show alongside the likes of ‘Birds of a Feather’ star Lesley Joseph and drag queen Kitty Scott-Claus and ended up having “sleepless nights” over the prospect of creating “inedible food.”
He said:”You never would have thought that cooking food could turn into a nightmare, but it really does. It’s tough. You have sleepless nights, dreaming about dishes that you’ve made or that you want to make. Then whatever the food was, it wasn’t even edible. It was like literally, you just don’t stop thinking about food.”
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actor – who is also known for having played the role of Vincent Hubbard on BBC soap ‘EastEnders’ – went on to explain that when he was first approached to take part in the series, he was “apprehensive” but decided that the opportunity was a “rite of passage.”
He told The Mirror Online: “When they asked me to do it, I said yes apprehensively. It felt like doing it was like a rite of passage. I was trying to cook a lot more before during the show once I knew I was doing it.
“But I guess, preparing for ‘MasterChef’ is like preparing for a quiz where it is general knowledge questions; you don’t know where they going to go. No matter how much you might study geography, or you might study history, they might go there, well, the special subject is horror movies.”
Meanwhile, Richard – who has starred as Felix Westwood on ‘Hollyoaks’ since 2020 – joked that he has played a “villain” in both soap operas even though in real life he is the “funny guy.”
He said: “”I played the villain in EastEnders, and I play a villain Hollyoaks. But you know, anybody that knows me, I’m the funny guy, I’m the one that makes everybody laugh. Even on set, we making the other actors laugh when it’s time for them to be dead serious. There’s a buzz in that there’s something quite gratifying and seeing you play a character that’s so the opposite of you had people then start to even ask you, ‘are you like that?’”

Steph McGovern snubs Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Steph McGovern turned down this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The ‘Steph’s Packed Lunch’ star has admitted she turns down the chance to compete on the BBC One ballroom show every year, including the 2022 series, as she does not think now is the right time for her to compete.
She said: “I think it’s a brilliant show. And I’ve got some friends on it again this year, including Helen Skelton, who I’m really pleased is doing it. But it’s just not the right time at the moment.”
Steph – who has a two-year-old daughter – added to HELLO! magazine: “I’ve got my show five days a week, so I’d have to train every evening and it wouldn’t be fair on my little girl. She’s so young and I don’t want to miss anything.”
Daytime television star Steph is also very private about her personal life and says her girlfriend and daughter have not chosen a public life like she has.
She said: “My family would probably want to be there to support me but that would expose them to newspaper coverage and everything else. The audience would probably think, ‘Why isn’t the family there? Why doesn’t she show them?’
“I can cope with the scrutiny, but they haven’t chosen a public life. Maybe when my little girl’s older, and wants to do stuff, I’ll talk to her about it, but not now.”
And, if Steph ever did compete on ‘Strictly’, she would hope to make history with her choice of professional partner.
When asked if she would prefer to have a male or female partner, she said: “I’d be open to doing half the competition with a fella and half with a woman.
“John Whaite is a good mate of mine and him being in the first male coupling last year did so much for the community and was a joy to watch. So I’d definitely consider dancing with a woman – but I haven’t had those conversations yet.”

Gino D’Acampo confesses to having never read a book in his life

OHMYGOSSIP — Gino D’Acampo has never read a book.
The Italian TV chef has confessed he has never felt the desire to pick up a novel as he’s too “lazy” and doesn’t enjoying reading.
He told Woman’s Own magazine: “I have never read a book in my life, I don’t like reading.
“I’m also lazy and I think if a book is that good they’re going to make a movie out of it, so I can watch the movie and it’s job done.”
That’s not to say the 46-year-old star hasn’t attempted to finish a tome.
He added: “I have tried and tried to read but I always fall asleep or I forget what’s happened and have to read it all again.”
Meanwhile, Gino recently spilled that he snubbed an invitation to tea from Queen Elizabeth as cucumber sandwiches are his “worst nightmare” on a plate.
He was invited to Buckingham Palace just before the COVID-19 pandemic but turned down the British monarch’s offer of gourmet afternoon tea as he wasn’t “keen” on the selection of food and beverages being served.
Speaking to MailOnline, Gino said: “I’m not very keen on tea or cucumber sandwiches.
“I was invited to the Palace for tea just before COVID, but a cucumber sandwich is my worst nightmare.
“I don’t like tea either, so I phoned my agent and said: ‘I’d love to meet her, but I don’t like tea and cucumber sandwiches, and I can’t do either of those things.'”
Gino – who married his teenage sweetheart Jessica Stellina Morrison back in 2002, with whom he has three children – claimed the last time he wore a tie was on his wedding day, and having to dress up fancy is another reason he didn’t want to go.
He added: “I’m also going to have to wear a tie, and the last time I did that was when I got married. I can’t do that. But if I can have a plate of pasta and a cup of coffee, I’m in.”
The ‘Family Fortunes’ host grew up in Naples before moving to the UK in 1995. Aged 21, the Neapolitan opened his first Italian restaurant and now has multiple venues across the UK.
Most recently, the cheeky Italian launched his own version of afternoon tea at his eponymous restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne. Gino’s take gives an Italian twist to an old classic that replaces the cucumbers with truffle cream cheese.

Miles Teller starring in The Gorge

OHMYGOSSIP — Miles Teller is to star in ‘The Gorge’.
The ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ actor will team up with director Scott Derrickson for the new movie.
Plot details are being kept under wraps but the project has been described as a high-action, genre-bending love story.
David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger are producing ‘The Gorge’ for Skydance alongside Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill for Crooked Highway. Teller will executive produce.
Miles starred as Bradley ‘Rooster’ Bradshaw in the ‘Top Gun’ sequel and chose to take a break before starting work on his next project, although sources say he was actively reading scripts as he looks to build on the success of the blockbuster – which has grossed $1.4 billion at the worldwide box office.
Derrickson is also coming off the back of a successful film as his supernatural horror flick ‘The Black Phone’ was a box office hit and Skydance were keen to get both actor and director working on the project.
Meanwhile, Miles revealed how he feared he was going to die while filming for ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ in an F-18 Hornet jet.
The 35-year-old actor: “I definitely had a moment where I thought I was going to die.
“There was a sequence where we were heading straight towards the ground and you do what’s called a max G pull-up. You’re heading down and at the last second you yank up, and it’s really tough for the pilot.
“It’s something they train in all the time, but it was the first time we’d done a manoeuvre like that and I completely stopped acting. I looked at the ground, and thought this wasn’t going to end well for me.”

We are incredibly excited to have Mahalia and Jodie lead this talented creative team in making what we know will be a resonant, riveting film.”
Katherine stars as Tina Goldstein in the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ franchise and confessed that she was taken aback by the commitment that comes with starring in the ‘Harry Potter’ prequel series.
The ‘Logan Lucky’ star said: “I really didn’t know what I was getting into to be honest. I didn’t realise what a different thing a franchise is from a film, you know? The commitment, the duration of the shoot, the duration of the press tours, how much of your year it asks of you.”

The 59-year-old presenter has hosted DIY SOS since 1999 and helped transform the homes of millions thanks to his dream team of builders and interior designers.
The original format looked to help botched DIY projects which changed when the ‘Big Build spin-off’ was introduced. Instead the programme sought to help deserving families on low income.
When one viewer got in touch with Nick to suggest a potential candidate worthy of the DIY treatment, Nick replied by hinting that the future of the show was uncertain.
One fan tweeted: “@MrNickKnowles can’t DIY SOS help this worthy family?”
Nick replied: “Sadly we are only commissioned by @BBCOne for one build this year for ‘Children in Need’ and as yet not commissioned for any builds for next year.
“But we know there is great need and we can help many more people and communities so we are hopeful of getting news soon.”
Fans inundated the comment section with pleas, begging the BBC to recommission the series.

Another said: “For next year , work the show and the whole team does to help people in difficult times is inspiring.”

Earlier in the summer, Nick announced that the DIY SOS team would be heading to Leeds for The ‘Big Build BBC Children in Need’ Special with BBC Radio 2.
He said at the time: “We have another huge build ahead of us in Leeds, which will make a real difference to the lives of girls and young women who are supported by Getaway Girls. If you have a trade, a skill, can spare some time to graft or can help us with materials then get in touch.
