Coco Lodge blasts cruel trolls

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’s Coco Lodge has hit out at internet trolls for ruining her holiday.
The 27-year-old Casa Amor bombshell revealed she broke down in tears and refused to go clubbing when her co-star Cheyanne Kerr’s fans taunted her after Cheyanne shared a video of them on holiday together in Ibiza.
She said in a YouTube video: “Everyone’s gone out to Amnesia but after Ocean I was so, so tired and, to be honest, I read some comments on Cheyanne’s video that she posted of me and her on TikTok and I just honestly am just so sick of people trolling how I look or calling me a man, or whatever.
“It’s actually gotten to the point where it’s just not fair and not right.
“Like, why am I going through a video, scrolling through all the comments and everyone is saying how beautiful my friend is but then putting me down in response to that, saying, ‘Oh my God, Cheyanne you’re beautiful, your figure’s amazing, Coco, who’s that man at the first part of the clip?’ or, ‘Coco, you look so ugly,’ or, ‘How did this girl get on Love Island?’
“‘It’s not fair and it’s gotten to the point where I don’t want to go out tonight now because I feel like s*** about all these comments. It’s not fair.”
Coco previously admitted she was shocked by the trolling she received after exiting ‘Love Island’.
She said: “‘I just didn’t expect it because I wasn’t prewarned, so when I got my phone back, it was literally on the way to the airport and I was reading all these comments about my appearance, and how I look and I was literally shocked.
“I know there was an article released of me at the airport and it was ‘Coco Lodge fuming when she sees the trolls comments’ and I just think, I was upset, I wasn’t fuming, it hurt, it is what it is.”

Ariana DeBose to star in Disney’s Wish

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana DeBose will star in Disney’s ‘Wish’.
The ‘West Side Story’ actress will voice star in the animated movie from ‘Frozen’s Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, which will explain how the wishing star that many Disney characters have wished upon came into existence.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, DeBose, 31, will voice Asha, “a 17 year old who sees a darkness in her kingdom that no one else does, so in a moment of desperation, she makes a passioned plea to the stars” and is answered by a falling star.
The animated movie – which was announced at the D23 panel in Anaheim, California – is set in Rosas, the kingdom of wishes and will blend the classic Disney animation style with a newer, CGI look.
Alan Tudyk voices a goat named Valentino in the movie, while singer/songwriter Julia Michaels will write original songs for the musical.
Buck will co-direct with Fawn Veerasunthorn and the movie is being produced by Peter Del Vecho and Juan Pablo Reyes.
It will be released in November 2023.
Meanwhile, Ariana – who picked up the Best Supporting Actress gong for playing Anita in the Steven Spielberg remake of ‘West Side Story’ – recently revealed that she almost didn’t audition for the movie musical.
She said: “I didn’t feel like I was going to be a candidate, because I didn’t have 500,000 followers. I wasn’t ‘a name.’ I was from Broadway, and typically when they make movie musicals in the States, they aren’t using theater talent, they’re using pop stars. The other thing was that the character, Anita, didn’t look like me—she’s not a Black woman.”
Ariana – who was involved with the debut of ‘Hamilton’ on Broadway- shared that she was in New York experiencing “chaotic peace” when she found out she was nominated for the Oscar.
She said: “I was walking by the East River in New York City. You’re on this walkway with the highway on one side and the tranquil water on the other. It was absolute chaotic peace, which is exactly how I felt about the news.”

Josh Gad is ‘very interested’ in doing the Beauty and the Beast prequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Gad is “very interested” in doing the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ prequel,
The 41-year-old actor starred as LeFou in the live-action remake of the classic Disney movie and explained that he and co-star Luke Evans are “very much” hoping the Disney+ prequel series will happen eventually even though production was postponed.
He said: “I think that Luke [Evans] and I are still very much interested in the story. There were elements that were really, really stunning and really brilliant. It’s that blessing and curse of, when you’re doing something as big and as ambitious as a ‘Beauty and the Beast’ prequel, and you’re getting to play with the crown jewels, it’s gonna be an expensive undertaking.”
The Broadway star went on to explain that because the 2015 movie musical was – with a reported budget of $255 million – was one of the “most expensive” movies Disney had ever made, production of the prequel became too “ambitious” and is certain that there is a way to do the show in a way that “doesn’t break the bank.”
He told Collider: “In terms of ambition and scope, and trying to marry it to one of the most expensive movies in the Disney library, its ambition ran away with it. There are ways that we can tell this story and live up to the promise of what it can be, but also do it in a way that won’t break the bank. Ultimately, I think that will be the way forward. I hope we get to do it. I know we’re still very interested. There’s some amazing stuff that Adam [Horowitz] and Eddy [Kitsis] did, and that Alan Menken did, that I hope audiences get to see and hear, one day.”

The 61-year-old athlete – who broke the world record for Javelin throwing back in 1986 and went on to win two Olympic medals – is the oldest celebrity contestant ever on the Channel 4 survival show and “loved every minute” of her military-style training.
She said: “I want to prove this old biddy’s still got it. I wanted to do this show because it was a great opportunity to check in on myself and see where I was in my life. But it was one of the toughest processes I’ve been through, as well as the biggest challenge. I loved every minute. I shouldn’t have, but I did.”
The former ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here’ star has joined the likes of ‘Love Island’ winner Amber Gill, 25, ex-footballer Ashley Cain, 31, and ‘EastEnders’ actress Maisie Smith, 21, as part of the lineup and admitted that while none of them knew “what to expect”, she is a “tough cookie” who is used to “punishing” herself.
She told The Mirror: “None of us knew what to expect. “But having been a top-flight athlete, I’m used to being punished. I punish myself all the time and train exceptionally hard. It’s not just the physical, I’m also aware of the importance of mental preparation. These sorts of battles are won or lost in the application of the mind.
“I’m probably a tougher cookie in that way than most. So it was nice to share some of those strengths, and weaknesses, with these young people. It was a great chance to show an older person can still thrive in a situation like that.”

Marriage isn’t a massive deal for me. We got engaged 10 years ago and we’re happy as we are. We’ll probably tie the knot one day, but I already feel like I’m married to him. He’s there every morning, every night – oh, it’s him again!”
Meanwhile, Jodie recently made a comeback to television when she made her debut as cruise ship singer Glenda Shuttleworth on ITV soap opera ‘Coronation Street’ and feels “lucky” that the part was created specifically for her because she is the “world’s worst” at auditions.

“I thought it was really impressive; the art and the art department, and what they did with all the locations. And also the CGI and the live-action, and how they coincide together, I thought it was really cool.
“It has [hit me] this week, I’d say. It’s my first time in LA, and it’s like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is real. I actually did this.’ It’s a bit weird. But, I’m more honored than anything to be able to do this.”

Brie Larson doesn’t know if ‘anyone’ wants her to continue as Captain Marvel

OHMYGOSSIP — Brie Larson doesn’t know if “anyone wants” her to keep playing Captain Marvel.
The 32-year-old actress has faced a huge backlash ever since she was cast in the title role of the 2019 movie and while she reprises the character, who is also known as Carol Danvers, in upcoming ‘The Marvels’, she admitted she’s not sure whether she’ll be back for another project.
Appearing at the D23 Expo over the weekend to present a first look at the film, Brie was asked how long she will play Captain Marvel.
She replied to Variety: “I don’t know. Does anyone want me to do it again?”
But the actress enjoyed working with co-stars Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris in Nia DaCosta’s sequel.
She told the audience: “It was really nice to have a team. I had a team!”
The Oscar-winning actress has faced criticism from Marvel fans for varying reasons including not smiling in the trailer for ‘Captain Marvel’ and comments deemed sexist towards men after she previously called out the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s lack of diversity and noting her press days “appeared to be overwhelmingly white male.”
But Brie previously insisted she didn’t care about the comments.
She said in 2019: “I don’t have time for it, you know? The things that I have extra time to really look at are, like: Am I eating healthy food? Am I drinking water? Am I meditating? Have I called my mom today?
“I have genuinely never needed to look at the internet to explain to me who I am. I’m extremely committed to that in my day-to-day life.”
The actress previously admitted she had no idea how far she could push herself when it came to getting in shape for the superhero franchise.
She said: “I affectionately called myself ‘an introvert with asthma’ before I got to play Carol Danvers and I started training first out of sheer panic, because I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, Marvel doesn’t know that I don’t even know how to walk up a hill without being out of breath.’
“I started this journey thinking I’ll get strong and I had no idea. I went far beyond what I ever believed was possible for my body.”

Pete Wicks ‘gutted’ to leave Celebrity SAS: Who Dates Wins

OHMYGOSSIP — Pete Wicks is “gutted” to have been medically withdrawn from ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
The 33-year-old star was left unconscious and suffering broken ribs after jumping from a helicopter with fellow recruit Ashley Cain, and was told to depart the programme because he needed a chest x-ray, and while he’s disappointed not to have gone further in the competition, he understands why his stint was cut short.
He said: “I was gutted actually. This is a bit of a thing for me, it’s like I’ve always wanted to do this show and the worst thing for me was to be taken out because that’s something that I can’t control.
“But being completely honest, they’re a hundred percent right because I wouldn’t have been able to carry on with my broken ribs.
“To have been out so early, I was absolutely gutted because it’s a fail. And unfortunately now for me, I feel like I failed. It’s something that will f****** haunt me because I just don’t fail things.
” I don’t say I’m going to do something and don’t do it, so I was genuinely so hurt, gutted, disappointed, f***** off and angry at myself. And I still am, to be honest, even a year later. That was tough for me. I felt like I’d let a lot of people down, I felt like I’d let myself down.”
Pete insisted there was no way he would have quit the show voluntarily.
He added: “The whole show is more mental than it is anything else and I wanted to get interrogated and I was just gutted not to even get that far. There was no way I was ever going to hand my armband in. I knew I never would, so to go out the way I did really hurt. To be withdrawn because you’re physically unable to carry on for something that was an unfortunate accident, I just found really, really tough.”
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star hopes he’ll be able to take part again in the future.
He said: “One hundred percent, without a shadow of a doubt I’d do it tomorrow if they gave me another chance at the course. I feel like I’ve got unfinished business and I failed as far as I’m concerned. I want to put that right. It was something that is genuinely going to haunt me.
“I think there are so many things that happen on that show that would have benefitted me as a person. Everyone who’s been on it said they came out a changed person.
“I think that’s the thing that I’m most sad about – that I didn’t get an opportunity for that too – I really felt like I was beginning, after just a few days, to understand a little bit more about myself and why I am the way I am. I think that’s what I missed out on.
“I really think the course would have changed my life. So to leave the way I did just left me quite angry. It’s left more than just a bitter taste in my mouth, I’m truly gutted.”
Amber Gill has also departed the programme after failing to complete a physical challenge on the beach.

Is Daniel Craig a detective like Benoit Blanc? Knives Out 2 cast played murder mystery games

OHMYGOSSIP — The cast of ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ played murder mystery games on days off from filming the sequel.
Janelle Monáe – who plays tech entrepreneur Cassandra ‘Andi’ Brand in the follow-up to Rian Johnson’s 2019 whodunnit – has revealed that as they were filming amid the COVID-19 lockdowns, she and her co-stars would have murder mystery nights on their hotel’s roof.
She told Deadline: “I literally host murder mystery parties at my house and dress up for fun.
“This guy.”
Janelle said director Rian “would leave handwritten, medieval-style notes under our hotel room door saying, ‘You’re invited…’”
However, lead star Daniel Craig confessed he’s not quite up to the standards of his detective alter ego Benoit Blanc when solving mysteries.
He said: “Everybody played this game.
“I’m a very good actor.”
The former James Bond quipped: “I was just there for the fun of the game. My game plan was basically just to look like the bad guy all of the time.”
The ‘No Time To Die’ star recently confessed he forgot how to do his Benoit accent.
The 54-year-old star spent months working with a dialect coach perfecting the sleuth’s Kentucky drawl once again.
He said: “I went away to work with an accent coach for three or four months before we started shooting. I’d forgotten the accent, and I didn’t want to do a pastiche. I wanted to make it as grounded and as anchored in reality as possible.”
Daniel continued: “How the f*** do we take something that caught people’s imagination and made them talk about murder mysteries, and do it again without it becoming a pastiche of itself?”
The original ‘Knives Out’ film was a hit when it was released in 2019 and director Rian suggested that he prefers Craig’s character to have an element of mystery surrounding him.
He said of the new movie: “There’s definitely more Blanc, but it’s not very interesting to me, the notion of building out Benoit’s life.
“Like with Poirot and Miss Marple, what’s fun is how the elements of Benoit’s character reveal themselves through his act of solving each one of these mysteries.”
Having starred as 007 in five films, Daniel admits that he has no fear about turning ‘Knives Out’ into a successful franchise of its own.
He explained: “I’ve spent the past 15 years of my life trying to do that in a franchise, so I’m not afraid of it.
“If you’ve got the right people in the room and the right talent, then you can do it. Rian’s a genius writer and doesn’t want to repeat (himself). Neither do we want to let people down, we want audiences to enjoy the world that we created in the first one and believe in this one.”

Curtis Pritchard eyes new TV role despite Hollyoaks backlash

OHMYGOSSIP — Curtis Pritchard has been having acting lessons and is eyeing a new TV role.
The ‘Love Island’ star and his former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional brother AJ, 27, were hit with widespread backlash for their portrayal of siblings Marco and Jacob in Channel 4 soap ‘Hollyoaks’ in 2021, with former star Parry Glasspool dubbing their performance “agonising to watch”.
However, the criticism hasn’t put the 26-year-old dancer off, and he insists his acting is far better since his brief stint on the long-running soap.
He told the Daily Star: “Going on ‘Hollyoaks’ was such a great thing because I learned so much from it. It taught me a lot of acting. I fell in love with acting. It gave me a buzz for acting.
“I am 100% keen to do more acting. 1000%! I have been having acting lessons. From that performance on ‘Hollyoaks’ to now, I’m like a different person.”
The blonde-haired hunk says the ‘Hollyoaks’ team was made up with the attention their acting debuts courted.
He added: “Put it like this, I got more press than ‘Hollyoaks’ has ever got. In more countries than even get ‘Hollyoaks’. They were very happy.”
Curtis’ latest gig is taking part in ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ with his brother.
The choreographer recently revealed he broke his little toe just two days before filming the Channel 4 quasi-military training television programme.
He told press: “Two days before going in, I was gonna go for a massage and I accidentally stubbed my little toe and broke it.
“Literally they called me into your massage and I stood up and booted my toe.
“I was that embarrassed, I couldn’t make a facial expression, couldn’t make a noise, I just kept walking on it.”
