Sarah Beeny shaves head after losing most of her hair during cancer treatment

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Beeny has shaved her head as most of her hair has fallen out after she started chemotherapy following her breast cancer diagnosis.
The 50-year-old TV presenter was given the heart-breaking news last month, and has now told fans that seeing her tresses fall out was “much harder” than she expected.
Sarah shared a picture of herself on Instagram holding a clump of her hair, and she added in the caption: “Sort of much harder that I expected it to be when it happened – in 24 hrs most hair fell out and I’ve shaved the rest off – onward and upward! X (sic)”
The former ‘Property Ladder’ host went public about her diagnosis late last month, revealing she went to the doctor after finding a lump in her breast, and she started chemotherapy ahead of having a mastectomy in the new year, and then radiotherapy.
Speaking about the moment she found out, Sarah – who has sons Billy, 18, Charlie, 16, Rafferty, 14, and Laurie, 12, with her husband, Graham Swift – said: “Even though we’d all got masks on, you can look at people’s eyes. And I thought, ‘Oh, I know what those eyes are saying.’
“Then I turned around and there was this lovely lady there who was a breast cancer support nurse, sitting on the chair next to me. I looked at her and thought, well, you’re not here because you’re bored or looking for a nice, cool room to sit in. I just said, ‘Look, I’ve got cancer, haven’t I?’ And they just said yes.”
Sarah had “a little bit of a breakdown” in the consultation room, and says she has been expecting to be diagnosed with breast cancer after her mum died of the disease, which spread to her brain, aged 39, when the former TV presenter was just 10 years old.

Melissa Barrera thinks Scream 6 is ‘more mortifying’ because it’s set in New York City

OHMYGOSSIP — Melissa Barrera says ‘Scream 6’ moving to New York City will make the franchise “more mortifying”.
The 32-year-old star – who will reprise her role as Sam Carpenter after joining the franchise with the fifth film earlier this year – has teased the impact of moving the story away from Woodsboro.
He told Collider: “It’s like 20 times more mortifying. It’s awful.
“Because you also see how, in a city like New York City, everyone is kind of doing their own thing and someone is screaming for help, and no one will come to their help.
“No one comes to help them, you know, like, everyone’s kind of like, ‘I’m not getting into that.’
“So it’s mortifying, because you’re chased by Ghostface, but you also see humanity and how that reacts in a situation like that. Anyway, I think I’ve already probably said too much.”
Barrera will be joined by co-stars Jenna Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding for the upcoming sequel, while Courteney Cox – who has appeared in the first five ‘Scream’ movies – will also be back.
However, Cox’s fellow franchise veteran Neve Campbell pulled out of the film because she didn’t feel “valued” by the deal she was offered.
Reflecting on the decision, Barrera previously said: “It was shocking, but also, as a woman, I get it. Especially as a woman of color, I deal with that stuff all the time where I feel like they’re not paying me what I know that I’m worth.
“But usually for me, I feel like it’s because I’m a Latina, and they don’t value us as much as white women.
“So if Neve being a white woman is feeling undervalued, that just goes to show how much of a problem it is in the industry. I applaud her sticking to what she believes in.”

Chris Hughes up for Strictly Come Dancing or I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hughes would “love” to do ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ or ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The former ‘Love Island’ star would “definitely” take to the floor on the long running and star-studded Latin and ballroom competition, or be up for heading to the Australian jungle for the ITV show.
After being asked if he would consider adding either programme to his list of credits, the 29-year-old television personality told new! magazine: “Yeah, definitely. I love those shows. It would be a great experience to step out of my comfort zone and be in front of my and in be in front of snakes and spiders or whatever. I like pushing limits.”
Recently, it was announced that the latest season of ‘Strictly’ – which features a judging panel of Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke – would be delayed due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth.
The first episode – which will see contestants such as ‘EastEnders’ star James Bye, comedian Ellie Taylor and Bros singer Matt Goss be placed with their pro partners – will air on Friday 23 September at 7pm, before the first live show the following day (24.09.22).
Chris – who starred alongside his ex Olivia Attwood, 31, on reality show ‘Chris and Olivia: Crackin’ On’ after their 2017 stints on the ITV2 dating show – offered some advice for the programme’s latest winners Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti, who have also landed their own reality show.
He said: “Yeah, well for me and Olivia it was fun to film, but it was towards the end of our relationship, so it was obviously quite tough. But just enjoy the whole process of it, you’re just making memories in the end. Even though me and Olivia split up, we still have memories together.”
Chris insists he didn’t feel pressure to stay with Olivia – who is due to tie the knot with pro footballer Bradley Dack next year – after their time in the villa was up.
He said: “No, I don’t think to be honest. I think with me and Olivia we both very much would wear our hearts on our sleeves and just react to the situation we’re in. We’re not fake people in that respect, so for us we never really thought about a time restraint or anything like that.”

The 49-year-old TV star – who has been married to producer Dee Koppang since 2012 and has two-year-old son Kasper with her – revealed that early on in his career he once shared a kiss with former ‘Bake Off’ host Mel,54, during a “debauched” wrap party for 1990s Channel 4 show ‘Light Lunch’.
He said: “I was just starting out in television and I got a job on this wonderful show called ‘Light Lunch’. It was a wonderful show to work on. Our wrap party was quite debauched! I end up snogging the talent!”
However, Mel admitted that although she had suddenly gone “very quiet and sweaty”, she did in fact enjoy the kiss at the time and described it as “just honest snogging”.

She said: “‘Unforgivable’ is a naughty show. It’s just a massive midlife crisis, basically, me saying: ‘I want to go back to when I felt my naughtiest, which was in the 90s. I want to be 25 again, or 23!”
The third series of ‘Unforgivable’ will air on Dave on Tuesdays at 10pm from 20 September.

James Cameron defends 3D movies and compares impact to colour films

OHMYGOSSIP — James Cameron insists 3D isn’t “over” and compares it to colour films becoming the norm.
The veteran filmmaker – who helped revitalise the format with 2009’s ‘Avatar’ – has shrugged off the idea audiences have moved on, instead arguing that it’s simple become “accepted”.
As reported by /Film, he said during a roundtable promoting the ‘Avatar’ re-release: “3D appears to most people to sort of be ‘over.’ But it’s really not over. It’s just been accepted.
“It’s just now a part of your choices when you go to the theater to see a big blockbuster movie.
“I liken it to color,” the filmmaker continued. “When color films first came out, it was a big deal. People would go to see movies because they were in color.”
Cameron pointed to the interest in ‘Avatar’ back in 2009, with the blockbuster remaining the higest-grossing film of all time worldwlide with a huge $2.8 billion.
He added: “I think around the time of ‘Avatar,’ people used to go to see movies because they were in 3D…
“I think it had an impact on how films were presented that’s now just sort of accepted and part of the zeitgeist and how it’s done.”
He also explained that 3D movies were popular with critics and audiences in the 2010s, which translated into award season success.
He said: “‘Avatar’ won the best cinematography with a 3D digital camera. No digital camera had ever won the best cinematography Oscar before.
“Then two out of the three subsequent years, the same cameras were used by the cinematographers that won the Oscar.
“So you got three out of four years where the Academy embraced digital cinematography. And all three of those films were in 3D.”
As well as the ‘Avatar’ re-release in 3D later this month, Cameron is also looking ahead to the long-awaited sequel ‘Avatar: The Way of the Water’ before Christmas.

Away from witchcraft, Samantha plays Bernice Blackstock in the ITV soap, which is currently shooting its 50th anniversary episodes ahead of the show’s milestone birthday next month.

She added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I remember sitting next to Sheree in the audition reception, chatting away. She got the part and was absolutely brilliant and right for it.

“The show had repercussions in all kinds of ways and the character did too. My period did coincide with the Thatcher years. I think Mrs McClusky became memorable because we had a prime minister like that.”

JJ Chalmers reveals Queen Elizabeth liked watched Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — JJ Chalmers has revealed Queen Elizabeth was a fan of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former Royal Marine and Invictus Games medallist – who is close friends with Prince Harry and appeared on the BBC Latin and ballroom show in 2020 – has opened up on a note the late monarch wrote to his father, who was previously her chaplain.
Appearing on BBC News on Monday (12.09.22) during the coverage of the vigil in Scotland following the queen’s death last week, he told broadcaster Huw Edwards about sweet note.
He said: “One of the most lovely things I’d ever seen is following the death of [the Queen’s] husband [Prince Philip], my father had obviously written to her, and she returned a letter which was typed and had all the sort of expected notes within it.
“But at the bottom was a hand-written message that said, ‘I’ve just realised that the JJ Chalmers who I’ve been watching on the coverage of my husband’s funeral is the same JJ Chalmers that you told me of being injured all those years ago’, and also a line that said ‘and the same JJ Chalmers I enjoyed watching on Strictly Dancing’.
“That’s the great thing, it tells you two things – she has an incredible memory, but also she watches Strictly.”
Edwards joked that it was “the revelation of the day”, noting he wasn’t “entirely surprised” to learn that Her Majesty was a fan of the show.
Elsewhere on the BBC’s coverage, writer Frank Cottrell-Boyce opened up on his experience working with the Queen on the famous ‘Paddington’ sketch as part of her Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.
He said: “I think that was true happiness. She was someone who was approaching the end of her life. She knew she was. And this is a sign off, isn’t it?”

Euphoria star Jacob Elordi cast as Elvis Presley in new Priscilla movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Jacob Elordi and Cailee Spaney have reportedly been cast in ‘Priscilla’.
The duo are said to be lined up to play Elvis Presley and his ex-wife Priscilla in an upcoming big screen adaption of her memoir ‘Elvis and Me’.

It tells her side of their relationship, including suspected affairs on both sides, as well as Elvis’ drug problems and more.
