Angelina Jolie thankful for opera support from Maria director Pablo Larrain

OHMYGOSSIP — Angelina Jolie was grateful for the support of director Pablo Larrain as she learned opera for ‘Maria’.
The 49-year-old star plays soprano Maria Callas in the new biopic and was thankful that the ‘Spencer’ filmmaker understood how much effort was needed for the part.
Speaking to Variety about the difficulties of performing opera, Angelina said: “It wasn’t easy. I was fortunate to have a director who truly understood and respected opera. He knew how much work was required and assembled a team around me to teach me.
“He made sure I had the classes I needed and gave me the space to practice. From the beginning, he understood that I needed extra time to prepare, and he always supported my transformation process.”
Angelia explained that it was “daunting” to take on the role of Callas but was delighted to be working with the Chilean filmmaker who she has long admired.
The ‘Eternals’ star said: “You always hope to work with directors you’ve admired, and I’ve wanted to work with Pablo for a while. It is a gift to take on something like this, knowing you’re in good hands and can push yourself to the edge because they’ll catch you.
“Her music was daunting, but it’s good to feel scared. As an artist, being so challenged that you’re unsure if you can do it is a great feeling.”
The biopic received an eight-minute standing ovation when it premiered at the Venice Film Festival last week and Jolie explained that she spent the time reflecting on the legacy of the opera diva – who passed away aged just 53 after spending her final years living in isolation after her partner Aristotle Onassis left her for Jackie Kennedy.
She said: “I thought about her a lot in that moment. It’s strange when you feel so close to this real human being. I know that applause was for her life.
“Often, we don’t, as artists, know if our work resonates, or we don’t expect kindness. You walk out expecting not to be supported or not to connect. But ‘Maria’ did.”

Diane Carson exits Celebrity MasterChef

OHMYGOSSIP — Diane Carson has exited ‘Celebrity MasterChef’.
The 63-year-old TV star has become the latest celebrity to leave the BBC show, after she failed to impress the judges with her poussin dish.
After her exit was confirmed, Diane said: “I’m disappointed, but, you know, somebody has to go home.”
Diane – who previously starred on ‘The Traitors’ – loved her time on the hit TV show.
She also admitted that she’s rediscovered her love of cooking because of the experience.
Diane shared: “This experience has definitely brought a bit of passion back for cooking. I can’t wait to have dinner parties again.”
What’s more, judge Gregg Wallace acknowledged that Diane is a talented cook – despite her early exit from the show.
Gregg said: “There’s not a bad cook here.”
Meanwhile, Diane previously admitted that her family convinced her to join ‘Celebrity MasterChef’.
Asked what made her want to compete on the TV show, Diane replied: “It was mostly through persuasion, my kids thought it’d be great.
“They love watching ‘Celebrity MasterChef’. They thought it’d be fun, and I suppose, a bit of a challenge to see if I could get a kick start into entertaining again! For years, I’ve always had family and friends around and I’ve loved entertaining.
“I’m very happy to try out new recipes with friends – If they don’t work, they don’t work. Our house had been undergoing some building work and I had been without a proper kitchen or a fully functional oven for about a year when I was asked to take part in ‘Celebrity MasterChef’. I certainly hadn’t been entertaining!
“Indeed, I was practising some of my ‘MasterChef’ dishes alongside a staircase being installed!”

Oti Mabuse ‘is being lined up for I’m A Celebrity’

OHMYGOSSIP — Oti Mabuse is reportedly being lined up for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star – who was a professional on the BBC Latin and ballroom show from 2015 to 2021 before becoming a panelist for ‘The Masked Dancer’ and ‘Dancing On Ice’ – could join Ant and Dec in the jungle for ITV’s iconic reality show later this year.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column: “Oti is a brilliant name for ‘I’m A Celebrity’, she’s hugely popular and well liked by the ITV audience so bosses are over the moon she could be a campmate this year.
“She’s very much seen as being part of the ITV family of stars and is always guaranteed to be great fun.”
Earlier this summer, Oti was spotted at rehearsals for the upcoming ‘Strictly’ series, but it’s thought she was lending her choreography skills rather than planning a permanent return.
She won the Glitterball trophy in consecutive years with ‘Emmerdale’s Kelvin Fletcher, 37, and comedian Bill Bailey, 56.
Speaking about why she decided to walk away before going for the hat-trick, Oti told the ‘All Change’ podcast: “Luckily my husband again has been an amazing person who has seen the dark days, the days where I’m in the shower crying with my clothes on because it’s so hard and it’s so overwhelming.
“He’s seen me not eat, he’s seen me overeat, he’s seen me struggle with not being able to get the best out of someone.
“He’s seen me having to deal with ‘interesting personalities.’
“So, he’s the person that’s seen the behind the scenes at the point where I’d got to where I was like: ‘I think I’m finished.’ He was like: ‘Yeah.’ ”

Louisa Lytton announces EastEnders return

OHMYGOSSIP — Louisa Lytton is returning to ‘EastEnders’.
The 35-year-old actress first played Ruby Allen on the BBC One soap opera from 2005 until 2006 before returning for a longer stint from 2018 until 2021 but she is “thrilled” to be heading back for a third stint in the coming months.
She said: “I am thrilled to have been asked back to the Square to revisit Ruby once more, and to shed some light on what the past three years have been like for her during her time away from Walford.
“I’ve always loved playing Ruby as there is never a dull moment and I cannot wait for everyone to see what Ruby has in store.”
Following her initial stint on ‘EastEnders’, Louisa appeared on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and, at the age of 17, became the youngest contestant in the history of the Latin and ballroom competition before joining the cast of ‘The Bill’ in 2007.
She then carved out a career in theatre, having played Rizzo in both a West End and touring production of ‘Grease’ and more recently starred opposite ‘Doc Martin’ actor Joe Absolom in ‘2:22: A Ghost Story’.
The soap star – who has been married to Ben Bhanvra since 2022 – quit the serial last time to have her daughter Aura, three, and gave birth just weeks after she had finished filming.
Louisa’s character Ruby was introduced as the best friend of established character Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) but during her last appearance on the soap, she married Stacey’s ex-husband, Martin Fowler (James Bye) before falsely accusing her former friend of asssault.
Chris Clenshaw, ‘EastEnders’ Executive Producer’, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Louisa Lytton back to the role of Ruby Allen.
“Ruby’s departure from Walford left many unanswered questions for Martin and Stacey, and her return is sure to unearth a whole heap of drama for her character and all those involved.”

Mean Girls star Lacey Chabert had ‘no idea’ she would still be making Hallmark movies

OHMYGOSSIP — Lacey Chabert had “no idea” she would still be making Hallmark movies.
The 41-year-old actress has just finished filming her 40th film for the television network but admitted as she heads up ‘Celebrations with Lacey Chabert’ for the station that when she did ‘Elevator Girl’ in 2010 that she would still be with the company today.
She told Collider: “I had no idea when I did my first hallmark movie, ‘Elevator Girl’, many years ago, that I’d be sitting here talking about now an unscripted show. They’ve all meant so much to me. People say that the movies bring them joy. I hope people realize how much joy they brought to my life.
“I love telling these stories. I think they’re all very relatable, and we hope to create characters that our audience can see themselves in and to tell stories about the human heart and what it means to be a part of a community.”
The actress – who is best known for starring as Gretchen Wieners in the 2004 classic ‘Mean Girls’ alongside Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and Tina Fey – has appeared in dozens of holiday-themed films for the network and likes to reminisce about her on Christmas memories whenever she takes on a role.
She said: “That’s what I get drawn into in the scripts, and I read a lot of different scripts and story ideas, and I’m most drawn and attracted to the ones that remind me of some of my Christmas memories and bring back that nostalgia.
“It’s such a good feeling. Some of my best memories growing up in my childhood were around the holidays, and when we get to infuse the movie with that feeling, I think that’s what resonates with me personally.”

WWE star Damian Priest cast in Black Panther 2 before role got ‘taken away’

OHMYGOSSIP — Damian Priest was cast in ‘Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever’ before the role was “taken away”.
The WWE superstar – whose real name is Luis Martínez – is a former World Heavyweight Champion and one of the company’s most featured wrestlers, but he nearly made moves into Hollywood after landing a role in the Marvel blockbuster.
Speaking to the ‘Insight with Chris Van Vliet’ podcast, he said: “It’s a long story, but basically… it got taken away from me, but not from Marvel.”
At one point, Priest was linked to the role of Namor – which eventually went to Tenoch Huerta Mejía – but it’s unclear if he was offered that part or another character.
And although the 41-year-old wrestler did not explicitly say who stopped him taking on the project, he agreed with the interviewer when it was hinted that, under previous WWE boss Vince McMahon, “the regime was a little bit different at that time”.
Priest insisted he’s “ready” if another Marvel role came up, before quickly pointing out his wrestling career has soared since missing out on the job.
He said: “It’s funny, because now [I’m] busier than ever! Come what may, I’m good with it. Maybe [if] I do something like that, I go a different route, and I’m not sitting here with you as the world champ, having been a world champion.
“I won a world championship at WrestleMania – I don’t know if that happens.
“Look, I live a certain way now that I can’t look at regret, I can’t think about stuff that didn’t work out my way, I gotta think about what’s next and what I can do positively for myself. It didn’t work out. not the end of the world – the movie was great though!”

Dating Naked UK is getting a second series

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Dating Naked UK’ is returning for a second series.
The reality series – which sees 12 single people get to know each other while completely in the buff – is based on a US format that originally aired on VH1, and the British version has been dubbed a “smash hit” with plans for it to come back for another run on the streaming service Paramount+.
An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: “‘Dating Naked UK’ has divided opinion and all the controversy has helped make it a smash hit.
“The ratings have been so high that bosses have commissioned another run before the first one has even finished airing.”
The show’s host Rylan Clark recently reflected that part of the show’s appeal is that is a “social experiment” where anything could have happened.
The 35-year-old television presenter told Grazia: “Things occur in this series that only occur because they’re all naked. It’s a social experiment as much as it’s a dating show.
“We didn’t know what was going to happen when we put however many naked people in a house to date. It could have been an orgy from the first day!”
Rylan – who shot to fame on ‘The X Factor’ before moving into hosting shows like ‘Big Brother’s Bit on The Side’ and his own BBC Radio 2 show – mused that everyone quickly “became so comfortable” with being starkers.
He said: “Something just happened, and I think it’s the fact they were all naked and all different that made them feel confident in that group. They just became so comfortable with each other because they’re all in the same boat.
“But there is more drama in this show than I thought there would be. There’s one episode where I actually make this noise like I’m possessed because I was so shocked by a decision. It was like being hit round the face with a baseball bat.”

Rob Beckett suffered ‘panic attack’ while filming Gladiators

OHMYGOSSIP — Rob Beckett had a “panic attack” while filming the ‘Gladiators’ celebrity special.
The ‘Celebs Go Dating’ narrator, 38, experienced a “terrifying” anxiety attack while filming the recently announced star-studded edition of the BBC’s revival of the iconic 90s endurance competition.
He said on his ‘Parenting Hell’ podcast that he co-hosts with fellow stand-up Josh Widdicombe: “For health and safety, you have to jump off a platform on your back to show you know how to fall so you don’t have to break anything.
“And I wasn’t prepared for this. I don’t mind being high as long I’m clipped on, or I don’t have to jump off.
“It is high. So I went up there and I couldn’t do it. Then I started crying. A panic attack – it came out of nowhere.
“I breathed for about five, 10 minutes and I calmed my head down and then I just did it – and it was terrifying.”
Rob – who has two daughters with his wife Louise Watts – recently admitted that he “can’t wait” to get into the arena alongside fellow famous faces like newsreader Louise Minchin, 55, television presenter Joel Dommett, 39, and comedian Ellie Taylor, 40
He said: “I can’t wait to be absolutely crushed by the Gladiators in front my wife and children in spandex whilst I watch Joel Dommett and his 6 pack sprint past me on the travelator.
“This is going to be a catastrophic humiliation in front of the nation. I’ve got no idea why I agreed to this. Is it too late to pull out?”
Joel has joked he’s only signed up to the show to grab his child “a foam finger”.
He quipped: “Me being on Celeb Gladiators is the answer to the question ‘What’s the most elaborate thing you’d do to get your 5-year-old a foam finger?’
“We all love the show in my house and I’m so excited to take part! I can’t wait to get chased by athletic goddesses and ask Viper about his childhood.”

Carol McGiffin won’t be part of the Loose Women anniversary celebrations

OHMYGOSSIP — Carol McGiffin hasn’t been invited to be part of the ‘Loose Women’ 25th anniversary celebrations.
The long running ITV daytime show is marking a quarter of a century on air this month, and a special show is planned on Friday (06.09.24) with Jane McDonald returning to the panel.
Writing for Best magazine, Carol said: “Just like that, this Friday will be their 25th with a really special guest, the one and only Jane McDonald.
“I can’t be sure, but I expect my invite got lost in the post…”
The 63-year-old presenter first appeared on the show when it launched in 2000, before returning in 2018 after a five year break.
She hasn’t been seen on the programme since early last year following a bitter feud with bosses, which she has claimed was down to a “totally unjust and unworkable” contract offer.
She told the same publication at the time: “The problem was, ITV were insisting, for the first time since I went back in 2018, that if I wanted to carry on doing the show, I would have to sign a contract that was totally unjust and unworkable for me, so I had to say ‘no thanks.’ ”
And while she insisted leaving the show was her decision, she was still “upset” about the situation.
She added: “I feel quite upset about it, if I’m honest, because although it is my decision, I felt like it was one I was being forced to make.
“No one in their right mind would have signed that contract. And I can’t see a way back from it.”
Reflecting in this week’s issue of the magazine, Carol recalled being back for the show’s 20th anniversary in 2019 when she had a “run-in” with a chaotic children’s TV icon.
She wrote: “The show celebrated its 20th anniversary and I was lucky enough to be there for it.
“Unfortunately, Mr Blobby was too and let’s just say, I had a bit of a run-in with him in which he was the definite victor.”

Jeremy Clarkson reveals special way Clarkson’s Farm helps with Grand Tour farewell

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson has revealed how ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ helped him with the end of ‘The Grand Tour’.
The Amazon Prime Video show will conclude after eight years with the ‘One For The Road’ special on September 13, while the 64-year-old presenter’s long running partnership with former ‘Top Gear’ co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond is also coming to an end after 21 years.
Reflecting on the final days of filming, he’s quoted by RadioTimes.com as saying: “There’s a photograph taken on Kubu Island of Russ Edwards (sound supervisor) and Casper Leaver (camera operator) and Andy Wilman (executive producer), who were there on the original crew, and they’re still with us.
“You can’t say that about any other show. We are a dysfunctional family, and I’d miss that, except for one tiny detail.
“There I was with all these guys that I’ve known and worked with for 24 years, and I said, ‘I’ll see you all on Monday morning,’ because they all work on Clarkson’s Farm.
“I’m 100 per cent convinced I would have been a lot more emotional without the farm show.”
Jeremy admitted he was “surprisingly unemotional” about the show coming to an end, and he insisted Richard was the only one of the three to cry on the last day.
He added: I’m not saying this in a derogatory way by any means, but James has the emotions of a stone. He just doesn’t do emotions, so there were no tears from him. Hammond, yes.
“I was surprisingly unemotional, in a weird way, because I can see James and Hammond any time I want to, they’re only a phone call away, and I’m sure we will.”
Meanwhile, he explained that after so long on the road for his various shows, he’s ready to settle down for a while.
He said: “I’ve done enough of the travel, I was worn out by it.”

Ruby Rose starring in The Drowning Pool

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruby Rose has been cast in ‘The Drowning Pool’.
The 38-year-old actress is set to star in the dark thriller from director David Hackl.
The picture centres on the mysterious disappearance of American surfer Isabelle Gray in the seas of the Canary Islands.
Isabelle is presumed drowned but her distraught sister Katherine refuses to leave the islands until she gets answers and soon finds out that her sibling wasn’t the only woman to vanish without trace into the ocean.
A stubborn Katherine defies a lack of help from the local authorities to uncover a string of increasingly frightening clues, which lead her into the jaws of an ancient ritualistic evil.
Pre-production on the film – which Colin McNeil and Daniel Minsky have written the script for – has started in the Canary Islands while The Exchange is introducing the movie to buyers at the Toronto Film Festival.
Nat McCormick, The Exchange’s President of Worldwide Sales and Distribution, said: “‘The Drowning Pool’ is a fresh and thrilling adventure story set in a dreamy vacation location, with a renowned international cast. We look forward to taking the plunge with our distribution partners around the world.”
Ruby formerly played the role of Kate Kane/Batwoman in the TV series ‘Batwoman’ but revealed that the discovery that she was “allergic to latex” was a factor in her quitting the show after just one season.
She told ‘The Kyle and Jackie O Show’: “I did find out that I was allergic to latex… and unfortunately my mask is latex.
“I was like, ‘I’m a little itchy!’ And it was getting worse and worse, because as you get more contact with it, I guess you get more reactions.
“I took [it] off at the end and my whole face was just hives.”

Phoebe Dynevor joins Zac Efron in Famous cast

OHMYGOSSIP — Phoebe Dynevor is to star alongside Zac Efron in ‘Famous’.
The 29-year-old actress has boarded the cast of the Los Angeles-set thriller from director Jody Hill that explores the dark side of celebrity.
‘Famous’ stars Efron in dual roles as overenthusiastic fan Lance Dunkquist and Hollywood heartthrob James Jansen although Dynevor’s part is yet to be revealed.
A synopsis reads: “Lance Dunkquist has one asset that’s about to change his life – he has the face of a movie star. And not just any movie star – Lance is the spitting image of Hollywood icon, James Jansen. Lance is about to travel to Los Angeles to make his dream come true. Lance is going to be famous, no matter what it takes…”
The flick is based on the acclaimed novel by Blake Crouch and has been adapted for the screen by Chad Hodge.
Phoebe’s casting comes after she lamented the lack of parts for actresses in her age range earlier this year.
The ‘Bridgerton’ star told the Evening Standard newspaper: “I have read some great scripts recently. And yeah, I probably shouldn’t be saying this, but there is still, like, not that many parts going.
“There is such a space for male actors … there are so many of them. And they’re all great.
“They’re all very talented young men, and they do not stop working, and good for them.
“But you know, when I think about the girls my age … there’s way more room for them and there is still not enough room for us.
“It’s a really good time for older women, which is amazing, and there’s a lot for these young men, but not a lot for the actresses that I know in my age bracket.”

Josie Gibson taking break from This Morning for new travel show

OHMYGOSSIP — Josie Gibson is taking a break from ‘This Morning’ to focus on her new travel show.
The former ‘Big Brother’ star – who has been a fixture on the ITV daytime show for the last five years – has frequently appeared alongside the likes of Craig Doyle and Alison Hammond, but she is stepping away for a while to work on her new three-part Channel 5 series exploring first-class travel.
She told Express.co.uk: “I’ve got loads of things in the pipeline, I’m still very involved with ‘This Morning’, I’m very grateful for ‘This Morning’ and everything they’ve helped me with because they grew me as a presenter.
“I should be around at Christmas on the [‘This Morning’] sofa, so then I will get back on the road and try to make it all work as much as I can.”
Josie is excited to hit the road for her new show – which is set to air on C5 next year – as she gets a chance to experience “how the other half live”.
She added: “It is going to be amazing because I’m going to be exploring how the other half live, like the first class travel.
“You know when you walk through the airplane and you think, I wonder what is that way? I’m going to be seeing all the stuff that is the other way.
“I love that I can still experience things like that and it absolutely shocks me.”
Filming is getting underway imminently, and the 39-year-old presenter is looking forward to filming.
She quipped: “It’s a tough gig, but someone’s got to do it. I’m so happy that they’ve asked me, I’m really happy!
“We’ve got quite a few destinations to go to, so yeah we start filming this week.”

EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy feels ‘mum guilt all the time’ as she balances work and home

OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Cassidy feels “mum guilt all the time”.
The ‘EastEnders’ actress – who has played Sonia Fowler on the BBC soap since 1993 – has daughters Joanie, eight, with fiance Marc Humphries and Eliza, 13, from a previous relationship and she has urged people to talk more about the challenges of being a working mother.
She told OK! magazine: “I get mum guilt all the time – 100 percent. And I think that’s why we need to talk about it more. I don’t think you understand until you have children.
“People saying, ‘Din’t have children if you want a career’ is ridiculous. It’s an ignorant thing to say.
“We’re not living in the 1950s, Dad doesn’t go to work while mum stays at home. But we don’t have the infrastructure to support families who need to work.”
She insisted there needs to be a change in childcare for parents in the UK, and the 41-year-old star admitted she “often” finds it difficult balancing being a mother with her job.
She added: “I often feel the squeeze trying to juggle parenting with work – both the long summer holidays and return to school have their unique challenges, but the support of my colleagues makes a huge difference.”
Natalie noted others might feel judged by “people in the office” if they have to leave early to “pick up a child” from school.
She said: “You’ve got the stigma of maybe people in the office saying, ‘Why should shwe leave at 3pm to pick up a child and have half an hour out of work?’
“Well, actually, you might go on a lunch break that I don’t take at 1pm each day.”
At the end of July, it was reported Natalie will be taking a “short break” from ‘EastEnders’ for her new role exploring consumer producers on ‘What’s The Big Deal?’ for More4.
Speaking about the project, she said: “I am looking forward to getting to ask questions we all want answers to, about must-have products.
“Like all of us, I love to try the latest things.
“But as a busy mum, what I really want to know is what lives up to the claims and what is the best deal.”

Alison Steadman is sure she’ll cry when Gavin and Stacey filming wraps

OHMYGOSSIP — Alison Steadman expects plenty of tears when filming wraps for ‘Gavin and Stacey’.
The 78-year-old actress is sure she will get emotional when the BBC Three sitcom – which follows two families coming together after a woman from Wales falls in love with an Essex boy – wraps again after it was confirmed its creators James Corden, 46, and Ruth Jones, 57, were bringing it back for a one-off finale this Christmas.
Alison told Women’s Weekly magazine: “It’s a wonderful series. It’s so nice that it’s popular. I feel very privileged and very lucky to be given the chance.
“I have to say it is the only show I have ever worked on where we finish each character’s final scenes like ‘That’s a wrap for Alison Steadman’.
“Everyone puts their heads down and cries like we are so sad it’s over. It’s such a good experience for everyone. I think the magic of the series if that everyone loves each other and the audience loves that.”
The ‘Abigail’s Party’ star enthused about getting to play Pam Shipman – who is the wife of Mick (Larry Lamb) – and praised how “brilliantly cast” the whole show was, pointing to her on-screen son Gavin (Matthew Horne) and daughter-in-law Stacey (Joanna Page).
She said: “Pamela has been a great part to play, I was thrilled to bits when I was given the role. I just knew this was going to be good.
“On our first day on set, Joanna Page, who plays Stacey came running over to me going ‘Hiya, my name is Jo and I am playing Stacey’. I looked at her and thought ‘you are perfect’.
“Then I saw Matthew Horne who plays Gavin, and the two of them together were perfect. It was brilliantly cast.”
Earlier this week, the BBC announced filming had begun on the episode with a reference to one of Pam’s catchphrases.
On a photo of a ‘Gavin + Stacey: The Finale’ clapboard, dated September 2nd, they wrote: “Oh. My. Christ. The final episode of Gavin Stacey started filming today.”

Richard Hammond has vital advice for next Grand Tour hosts

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Hammond insists the next ‘Grand Tour’ hosts must have “passion in their heart”.
The former ‘Top Gear’ presenter thinks that anyone taking over the Amazon Prime Video series he hosted with Jeremy Clarkson, 64, and James May, 61 – who first worked together on the iconic BBC motoring show – needs to have the same enthusiasm for cars to make it “compelling” viewing.
The 54-year-old television personality told the Metro newspaper’s ‘60 Seconds’ column : “If you’re making any show that at it’s heart has a subject, whether it’s cooking, dancing or cars, the hosts – the primary makers of it – have to have that passion in their heart. And we always did.
“You never had to be a car geek to watch our show. Plenty of people who weren’t did watch it but it was important that we were the car geeks. We eat, breathe and sleep cars.
“I’ve watched that show where they make pots, ‘The Great Pottery Throwdown’ and I love it. I’ve no interest in pottery – I don’t know anything about it – but they clearly do and the passion is compelling. Make sure that stays there.”
Richard admitted he “never thought” he would hit the big time and it still hasn’t sunk yet that this period of his career is “over” decades after first starting on ‘Top Gear’.
He said: “I never thought I’d be part of something that big. I’m just a little bloke from Birmingham who likes cars and doing radio and TV but that doesn’t mean you end up on one of the biggest shows in the world with an audience who follow you for 22 years. I think six months from now I’ll suddenly sit bolt upright and realise its over. ”
