Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page tease engagement

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page have teased an imminent engagement.
The pair – who found love in the ITV2 villa this summer – recently moved in together and admitted at Thorpe Park Resort’s Fright Nights event last week that it won’t be long until Andrew pops the question.
A source told The Sun: “Tasha and Andrew were like true love birds – they couldn’t stop kissing and holding hands. People were asking how long before Andrew popped the question.
“He smiled and said ‘hopefully not too long now,’ and Tasha just giggled and blushed.”
The relationship between Andrew, 27, and Tasha, 24, has moved quickly since they left the show and Tasha recently shared she was “excited” about the prospect of hearing wedding bells, because she wants to settle down sooner rather than later.
She said: “I told Andrew it’s up to you if you want to propose. It’s in his hands.
“The reason why we’re thinking like that is because we’re both so excited and we’re enjoying our time together. It’s the kind of love that you just want to do it, it gets me excited if I talk about it. I get way ahead of myself but it’s up to Andrew isn’t it?
“Even before ‘Love Island’ I always wanted to get engaged and married young, which has always been my dream.
“Having kids hasn’t been in my head, nothing personal against children but I didn’t see it in my plans.
“But when I met Andrew and we had the baby challenge I could start to envisage it, but I said to him that would be many, many, many, years down the line.”

Steph McGovern unveiled as Tomato Sauce on The Masked Dancer

OHMYGOSSIP — Steph McGovern has been unveiled as Tomato Sauce on ‘The Masked Dancer.’
The 40-year-old TV star had been taking part in the ITV competition which sees celebrities conceal their identity behind a lavish costume as they show off their moves and was finally rumbled on Saturday’s (01.10.22) as the dancing condiment bottle.
Upon her elimination, she said: “I’ve loved it, I had the time of my life!”
The ‘Steph’s Packed Lunch’ host had become the third celebrity to face the chop on the ITV show on Saturday night, following the shock eviction of David and Frankie Seaman, who had been posing as Pillar and Post but had been forced to pull out of the competition due to an injury.
At the top of the show, host Joel Dommett said: “Sadly, Pillar took a tumble during rehearsals and I am absolutely gutted to tell you that on medical advice they have had to withdraw from the competition.”
Following their exit from the programme, Frankie said in a statement: “We were gutted as we absolutely loved every minute! It was great fun but a tumble meant our ‘Masked’ journey came to an end too soon, we had such a blast and we were sad that we had to hang up our masks without being able to share our final dance with you all! We have loved being part of this series and we wish the other competitors the best of luck as we continue to watch at home and try to guess who all the other celebrities are!”
The elimination of the former Arsenal footballer and his wife followed on from the exits of ‘Gavin and Stacey’ actress Joanna Page – who had dressed as a Pig – as well as documentary host Stacey Dooley, who was unveiled as a Prawn Cocktail, and choirmaster Gareth Malone, who was revealed to have been performing as Cactus.

Molly Rainford tops the leaderboard on Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu have topped the leader board on ‘Strictly Come Dancing.’
The 21-year-old actress has been paired up with professional dancer Carlos, 28, as she takes part in the BBC Latin and Ballroom competition and the couple scored a total of 65 on Saturday (01.10.22) night following their performance the Quickstep set to Beyonce hit ‘Love on Top’, complete with umbrellas.
Following the victory, Molly told host Claudia Winkleman: “I forgot I had to dance a little bit in the beginning! It’s my favourite song as you know so I feel like that alone got me through the dance. I was a little bit concerned about playing with umbrellas because I had to walk down some stairs last week so I was like ‘Please make it easy!’. My best friend Kira is here and she is all about positive mental attitude, she’s always saying ‘Manifest this, Molly, you’ve got this!”
After their performance, judges Craig Revel Horwood and Anton DuBeke granted the pair an 8 out of 10, while Motsi Mabuse wanted to “start the evening all over again” with the couple and – along with head judge Shirley Ballas – granted the pair a score of 9, which when combined with their score last week gave them a leading total of 65.
The rest of the leaderboard was filled up with the likes of former ‘Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps’ actor Will Mellor, who gained total of 26 points with partner Nancy Xu, whilst ‘Countryfile’ presenter Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystałcame in third place with a combined total of 60 points.

Boy George signs up for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — Boy George has signed up for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The Culture Club frontman will reportedly be heading to Australia next month after securing the show’s highest ever fee, with producers paying out almost £1 million to land the “national treasure”.
A source told MailOnline: “It’s beyond exciting that we’ve secured Boy George.
“It’s been a long time since we had a huge global star film the show and he will no doubt draw viewers.
“He’s also hugely popular in Australia and with the show leaving Wales and heading back down under, he’s the perfect addition.
“Filming is currently due to start in November just outside of Murwillumbah.
“He has also been secured the highest pay cheque in the history of the show – close to $1million.
“We know it’s a huge coup to land Boy George and we can’t wait for filming to begin.
“He is thriving at the moment, he is about to perform with Culture Club at the legendary Austin City Limits in the coming weeks.
“He’s a national treasure and we have no doubt viewers will make him king of jungle.”
Earlier this year, the 61-year-old singer admitted he was hesitant to take part because of the food.
He said: “Unless you do a vegan version and then I’m in.”
It is believed the vegan star won’t be forced to tuck into animal parts or insects during Bushtucker Trials, and will be served meat and fish alternatives during mealtimes.
The ‘Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?’ hitmaker previously claimed he had rejected multiple approaches to be on the show because he wouldn’t be allowed to wear his trademark hats.
He said in 2016: “There would be serious clothing restrictions in the jungle.
“I’d have to get certain hats made and I couldn’t get over the food. I would have a problem with that.”

ITV want X Factor back

OHMYGOSSIP — ITV want ‘The X Factor’ back.
It was revealed in July that show boss Simon Cowell was in advanced talks with Channel 5 about screening a new series of the talent contest – which ran for 15 series and two spin-offs on ITV from 2004 to 2019 – but he’s now said to be in the middle of a bidding war with the two networks.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: “After Simon Cowell decided to bring ‘X Factor’ back, he reached advanced talks with Channel 5.
“But now ITV execs have made it very clear they want the show.
“They’re trying to convince Simon to ditch channel 5 and go with them instead.”
The programme is expected to return in 2023, with production staff already on board and auditions expected to take place in the next few months.
It was previously claimed bringing the show to Channel 5 would be a great opportunity to overhaul the format and give the programme a “fresh start”.
A source said: “This is the start of a new chapter for ‘X Factor’. Moving to a new channel gives the creative team a chance to completely revamp the format and do something different.”
It was previously claimed Simon plans to strip ‘The X Factor’ back to basics in the hope of trying to “recapture the magic” of when it first aired.
An insider said over the summer: “It has been decided that the time is right to bring ‘X Factor’ back. It’s really exciting. Everyone who will be working on the new series can’t wait to get started.
“Producers want to recapture the magic the show had when it was first on TV.
“The focus will all be on the competition element of the show, rather than the razzle dazzle.”

Christian Bale dreams of Star Wars role

OHMYGOSSIP — Christian Bale would be happy to have a background role in a ‘Star Wars’ film.
The 48-year-old actor has been desperate to appear in the franchise for several years and he’d even be happy just to play a masked stormtrooper with no lines, so he’d feel incredibly “fortunate” if he was offered a part in the movie world which was “more than that”.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “All I ever wanted in ‘Star Wars’ was to be in a ‘Star Wars’ outfit and hit my head on a door or something as I walked through.
“The real nerds who watched ‘Star Wars’ way too many times always knew about that one scene where the Stormtrooper hits his head on the door as he comes through. I wanted to be that guy. That was it.
“But look, if I’m fortunate enough to be more than that, oh man, yeah. What a delight that would be. I’ve still got the figures from when I was little.”
And the ‘Amsterdam’ star is hopeful he’s got the right connections to bag his dream role one day.
He added: “I also know Kathy Kennedy very well because she was working with Spielberg when I did ‘Empire of the Sun’, and now, she runs the Star Wars universe.”
After working with Christopher Nolan on ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy and ‘The Prestige’, it has been over 10 years since the pair last collaborated and Christian admitted he’d jump at the chance to work with the “extraordinary” director on another project.
He said: “I would love to work with Chris again. He’s an extraordinary filmmaker, and I’ve got very good memories of working with him. So, likewise. I feel the same.”

Reese Witherspoon on why Where the Crawdads Sing was an unexpected hit

OHMYGOSSIP — Reese Witherspoon says ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ was an unexpected success because attention to detail was paid.
The ‘Legally Blonde’ star produced the big-screen adaptation of Delia Owens’ best-selling tome, and she believes the film flourished despite not many people being aware of it because of its breathtaking cinematography and a stellar cast led by Daisy Edgar-Jones as self-raised murder suspect Kya.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “Underdog stories are my favourite.
“This movie wasn’t on a lot of people’s radars – and it’s counterprogramming, I know – but it’s a return to real filmmaking.
“It’s a heart-and-soul experience on film with beautiful sets and beautiful costumes and wonderful actors.
“It’s almost nostalgic for what you wanted to see in the summer.”
The plot follows the young woman abandoned by her family and left to raise herself alone in a North Carolina town.
She becomes a respected author but is accused of murdering her former boyfriend.
‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ was the most-sold fiction book on Amazon in 2019. Oscar-nominated screenwriter Lucy Alibar penned the script and ‘First Match’ helmer Olivia Newman directed.
Reese previously admitted she is “fascinated” by the story and lauded the book in her own Reese’s Book Club.
Explaining what drew her to the film, the 46-year-old star said: “With a jaw-dropping mystery, stunning Southern setting, and endlessly fascinating female heroine at its centre, I loved this book the moment I read it and am so excited to join forces with Elizabeth and her team to bring Delia’s truly moving page-turner to the screen.”

EastEnders agree to scale back James Bye’s filming committments

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ bosses are scaling back James Bye’s storylines to ease his workload.
The 38-year-old actor – who portrays Martin Fowler on the BBC soap – has been cramming in the hours, juggling filming for the show with training for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ with partner Amy Dowden, so he’s relieved producers are going to let his character take a back seat in the coming months so he’ll have a bit more time.
He told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: “This week has been a busy week at EastEnders. I’ve been on set every day.
“Amy has come over to the set a few days this week.
“We have been getting two hours of training in the morning and sometimes getting another two in the evening…
“‘EastEnders’ have been great and they are going to lighten the workload for me.
“As soon as ‘Strictly’ was confirmed for me, ‘EastEnders’ put the wheels in motion.
“But unfortunately, the way it works with scheduling is always a few months behind. So hopefully next week it will lighten.”
And James admitted he’s been left “exhausted” by his gruelling schedule.
He added: “You are exhausted from training which helps you sleep. As soon as my body hits the pillow, I am out.”
James and Amy are currently fourth bottom of the leaderboard with combined week one and two scores of 46, so the actor is worried they’ll be the first couple to be eliminated.
He said: “I’ve been working hard. I just hope it is enough to get us through.”
The actor’s co-star, Rose Ayling-Ellis, won the programme last year and she warned her friend to savour the experience because it goes so quickly.
He said: “Rose is just like a ray of sunshine and her only advice to me was just take every second in as it goes so quick.
“Bear in mind she was there every week, she did the full thing and she said even that went so fast.
“You make friends so quickly, don’t throw anything away, just enjoy every moment and that’s sort of what we’re doing to be fair.
“I don’t feel like I’m wasting any moment, we are going for it, every opportunity, and the choreography this week is incredible and the song is great, so let’s just hope I don’t balls it up again!”

Ashley Cain opens up about loss of daughter

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Cain signed up for ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ because of the “traumatic” loss of his daughter.
The 31-year-old retired footballer and his then-partner Safiyya Vorajee were left devastated when their little girl Azaylia died in April 2021 aged just eight months following a battle with leukaemia and he admitted the tragedy has pushed him to want to succeed and do more with his life.
He said: “I’ve always been like marmite. You either love me or you hate me. I prefer to let people know who I am and let them judge me and still be who I want be. I’m here to find out about myself. I’m here to get s*** done. I’m here for a lot of reasons. I’m in a bit of a transitional period in my life.
“I’m a family man. Always been a family man, that’s what I’m about. I had a chance to start my own family and I had a beautiful little baby girl. Two months into my daughter being born we found out she had a really aggressive form of leukaemia.
“She was incredible. She showed strength, she showed courage. She showed everything it takes for a person to get on in this world. And then she sadly lost her life on 24 April. She passed away in my arms and it’s a moment I’ll never forget.
“One thing I will remember is every single day my daughter was fighting this disease, she smiled every day. She fought every day and she made the most of every single day.
“And that’s a lesson I’ll take through my life. She didn’t have the chance in life that I’ve got, that we’ve all got and I definitely don’t want waste mine.
“I want make to her proud. I want to show people that no matter what you go through in life, you can overcome anything. ”
And Ashley knows he can handle anything after getting through such a difficult time in his life.
He said: “The day that my little girl was born was a moment that I’d been waiting for all my life. I couldn’t have been a happier, prouder father and then all of a sudden things changed.
“When they told us that there was nothing more that they could do, it completely broke me. All I wanted to know at that point was that if she goes she will go in my arms and she will go peacefully. And at eight months old she passed away in mine and my partner’s arms. I believe she had a peaceful transition to the other side.
“When I’m backed in a corner, I take myself to the darkest times of my life where I was battling alongside my daughter. After going through such trauma I’ve realised that even when your body wants to give up, your mind can push it past any limits that you thought you had before.”

Emily Ratajkowski blasts Blonde

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Ratajkowski has blasted ‘Blonde’ for “fetishising female pain”.
The 31-year-old actress slammed director Andrew Dominik’s Marilyn Monroe biopic – which features Ana de Armas in the lead role – for the way it has portrayed the late Hollywood icon, though she admitted she hasn’t actually seen the film.
Speaking on TikTok, she said: “I’m not surprised to hear that it’s yet another movie fetishising female pain, even in death.”
Citing the collective fascination with Britney Spears, the late Amy Winehouse, and the death of Princess Diana, Emily insisted that, as a society, “we love to fetishise female pain … We obsess over dead girls and serial killers.”
She added: “We love to fetishise female pain. And I think as women, I can say for myself for sure, I’ve learned how to fetishise my own pain and my own hurt in my life so that it feels like something that can be tended to that’s kind of sexy.”
“I think we do that in many, many different ways.”
The ‘My Body’ author calls for women to get “a little more p**** off” and for society to change the way it views females.
She continued: “I want that to change. But I was thinking about it and you know what’s kind of hard to fetishize? Anger. Anger is hard to fetishise. So I have a proposal. I think we all need to be a little more p***** off. I’m gonna be in my witch era. 2022
Courtney Stodden has also vowed to boycott the film and called for others not to watch either.
The 28-year-old star told the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column: “I will not be watching. As somebody who understands what it feels like to be exploited in a sexual way and then have people turn you into a joke when you are not a joke, I think diving into that is a little disrespectful…
“That is not Marilyn Monroe, that is not her story. It’s fictionalised and it’s to make her something she wasn’t. She never wanted to be the girl they’re painting her as.”

Kieron L. Dyer says it was ‘crazy’ working with Christian Bale

OHMYGOSSIP — Kieron L. Dyer says it was “crazy” working with Christian Bale on ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ because his character is so “terrifying”.
The rising star portrays Axl, the son of Heimdall and Grace, in Marvel’s 2022 blockbuster, and he learned a great deal from Thor actor Chris Hemsworth and Gorr the God Butcher portrayer Bale.
He told comicbookmovie.com: “I definitely got to learn a lot from them. I think it meant a lot to me as well because I’d followed Chris Hemsworth’s journey as Thor throughout the MCU from the first Thor film to all The Avengers films, and I always really admired Christian Bale as an actor from The Dark Knight and Terminator. I was really excited when I found out I’d get to work with them and I learnt so much just by working with them and watching how they work. In my scenes with Chris, we played around with the lines a bit and I learnt a lot about improvisation. With Christian Bale, it was more about how he embodied his character. He’s terrifying in this movie and being with him and acting side-by-side with him was crazy.”
Kieron also shared how director Taika Waititi made the set a fun place to be, and how he loved blasting Guns N’ Roses.
Asked if it was fun seeing him at the helm, the actor said: “Definitely. I couldn’t imagine when I watched Thor: Ragnarok that I could have ever dreamed about being able to work with Taika on the sequel to that movie. Working with him was so great. He’s such a funny, cool guy and really creative. He made such a funny environment on set and there was always singing and dancing. He was always playing songs, especially Guns N’ Roses. I learned a lot just from watching him and the way he directs. Just the way he thinks and thinks about the storyline of the film and the detail that goes into making it and what he did making Ragnarok as well. I’m so glad I got to work with him. ”

Kaye Adams first celebrity voted off Strictly Come Dancing 2022

OHMYGOSSIP — Kaye Adams is the first celebrity to depart Strictly Come Dancing 2022.
The Loose Women panellist, 59, exited after facing Matt Goss and his pro partner Nadiya Bychkova in a dance off on Sunday night’s (02.10.22) episode of the BBC show.
She said after she was voted off with her partner Kai Widdrington: “It was the right result and I did make mistakes, and when it comes to that high pressured situation that’s what happens.
“So I am delighted for Matt and Nadiya – the only person I am just sorry for is this wonderful man (Kai), who has just been so brilliant… it was a hell of a lot of fun.
“I said my ambition was to learn to love to dance, and actually I have seen a whole new side to myself, it’s opened a little door.
“It’s been a wonderful experience and to spend time with such talented people who love the show so much has been a joy.”
Kai, 27, added: “Well, you know, only we know how much real hard work has gone into this. There has been lots of ups and downs and we won’t go into them, but this lady is a trooper, and I know what she’s been going through in the week.
“For this woman to come out and give the performance that she did tonight really shows the testament to her character.
“I am proud of you, I know that your girls and your other half are proud of you, but the most important thing is that you should be proud of yourself, because you are a superstar.”
The judges’ scores this week were added to those from last week’s show and combined with the results of the viewers’ votes to decide the lowest scoring two couples to face the dance off.
Both couples performed their routines again, with Kaye and Kai doing the Charleston to ‘Music! Music! Music!’ by Dorothy Provine.
Singer Matt, 54, and Nadiya, 33, performed the Samba to the Bee Gees’ ‘Night Fever’.
Judge Craig Revel Horwood, 57, said about his decision after the dance off: “Well, the couple for me, that I considered danced the best on the night, and the couple I would like to save is Matt and Nadiya.”
His fellow judge Motsi Mabuse, 41, also chose to save Matt and Nadiya, saying: “Well, that was so close, both couples made mistakes. I feel like they were on the same level, but one couple was a little bit better for me, and I am saving Matt and Nadiya.”
Judge Anton Du Beke, 56, added about voting for Matt and Nadiya: “Well, it wasn’t a vintage dance off, and I know exactly how they feel and I’ve been in that position many times myself and I think if you had the chance you would like to go again, both of you.
“There were a lot of mistakes for both couples, I felt that one couple lost performance as well, and because of that I would like to save Matt and Nadiya.”
But head judge Shirley Ballas, 62, said she would have decided to save Kaye and Kai, adding: “I thought due to a little better quality, I would have saved Kaye and Kai.”
Top of the leaderboard on Saturday night’s show (01.10.22) was singer Molly Rainford, 21, with 34 out of 40, leaving Matt, Kaye and Tony Adams, 55, the lowest scorers, each with 22 points.
Sunday’s results show also featured a routine from the professional dancers to a medley of ‘Need You Tonight’ by INXS and ‘About Damn Time’ by Lizzo. There was also a performance from Robbie Williams, 48, of his ‘She’s the One’ hit.
The remaining 14 couples will take to the dancefloor next week for a ‘Movie Special’, with Strictly returning on Saturday October 8 at 6.30pm, and the results show on Sunday October 9 at 7.20pm on BBC One.

Good Morning Britain star Alex Beresford marries in Majorca

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Good Morning Britain’ star Alex Beresford has married his fiancee in Majorca.
The ITV show’s weather presenter tied the knot with his longtime partner Imogen McKay in a cliff-top ceremony at the Son Marroig estate on the Spanish island close to the beach where Alex proposed on New Year’s Day – with the coupe exchanging vows in front of around 100 guests including Alex’s son 12-year-old Cruz from a previous relationship who acted as ring bearer.
Alex, 41, told Hello! magazine: “I was blown away by the beauty of it all. One of my cousins said it was like being in a movie and it really was. It was incredible from start to finish. But most importantly, it was where I was marrying the woman I love.”
He added: “When I turned to watch Imogen walking towards me, my heart skipped a beat. She looked amazing. So classically beautiful and exactly as I’d imagined.”
Imogen, 29, added: “I couldn’t wait to marry Alex. Seeing him and all our loved ones in that incredible setting made me feel so emotional.”
The ceremony took place on August 19 – unfortunately falling on the same day as the funeral of Queen Elizabeth back home in the UK.
The couple decided to go ahead with their big day despite the sad occasion, and Alex revealed he started the morning by watching some of the funeral coverage on TV before focusing on the wedding.
He explained: “I woke up super early and watched the start of it [the funeral)]on TV in a café in the village. It was my way of paying tribute to Her Majesty.”

Kate Hudson: Strippers in movies shouldn’t be a distraction

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Hudson hates it when strippers in movies are the main talking point.
The 43-year-old actress plays stripper Bonnie in Ana Lily Amirpour’s sci-fi thriller ‘Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon’, and Kate admits it’s frustrating when movie star strippers distract from the most important part of a film.
She told Collider: “I also think that movies that have women as strippers, or especially movie stars, it’s annoying when they make it all about that because that’s not what it’s about. If the movie really is about a certain type of stripper, and you go really deep into whatever that is, then it’s understandable. If not, and not that this was Lily’s choice, but from my perspective, as an actor who is in the public eye, all of a sudden, that’s all anybody is asking about. It becomes a distraction versus a real part of the importance of the film.”
The director chose to have her strippers don bikinis, and the local strippers who were extras in the flick were appreciative of her different approach to male filmmakers they’ve worked with before.
She said: “I find it really fascinating that the most valuable currency on earth is sex, and for sure, men have tried to be in control of that, for all of human history, but it’s still a big economy, as you can see. It’s a fascinating energy and space to watch this primal thing play out. What I cling to are the parts like where she’s wiping the pole at the beginning. It’s the exit and entry and staying with the person in the moment afterwards. A man is gonna go straight to it. I could go there if I needed to, but that’s not what that night was about. All those girls who were extras in the club are local dancers, and so many of them came up to me and said, ‘The vibe you have going on right now is so much more real than when guys do it.’ They play extras as strippers in lots of other stuff that shoots in town, and they told me, ‘The vibe in here, right now, is so much more real to how it really is.'”

Zac Efron tells Marvel bosses to call him over Wolverine role

OHMYGOSSIP — Zac Efron has insisted Marvel bosses should give him a call over rumours linking him to the role of X-Men superhero Wolverine.
The role of Wolverine has been played by Hugh Jackman since 2000 with the actor playing him in a series of ‘X-Men’ films as well as several stand-alone offerings and he’s reprising the role once again for a part in upcoming movie ‘Deadpool 3’ – but there have been rumours suggesting a new actor could take on the role when Wolverine and the X-Men join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Zac was asked about suggestions he could be the next Wolverine during an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ and he said: “Really? Wow, they could just call me. I think Hugh’s still doing that pretty well, I got to give it to Hugh.”
The presented then pressed further pointing out Zac – who appeared onscreen with Jackman in ‘The Greatest Showman’ – knows the actor already and Zac added: “I guess I had my foot in the door on that one, I should go talk to him.”
The ‘High School Musical’ star then joked he’d need to grow a full beard like Fallon’s and the host offered to shave it off and give it to him to save him some time.
Zac was previously rumoured to have been shortlisted to play Marvel character Adam Warlock before the part was given to Will Poulter, while he was also linked to the role of The Human Torch in a ‘Fantastic Four’ movie.

Strictly 2022 stars share their ‘wobbles’ in group WhatsApp

OHMYGOSSIP — The 2022 ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ stars have a WhatsApp group to support one another through their “wobbles”.
Will Mellor – who is partnered with Nancy Xu on the BBC One Latin and ballroom contest – has revealed the celebrities, including Matt Goss, James Bye, Fleur East and Helen Skelton, have all been supporting each other throughout the intense journey and he admits he hearing everyone else experiencing similar struggles helps to “take the load off”.
The former ‘Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps’ star told Metro.co.uk:”We have a WhatsApp group we started before we even started just to sort of gel together a little bit; the production said it was a good idea to do.
“It has helped a lot of people, especially if you have a wobble, everyone has a little wobble. Someone might say, ‘Oh, I’m really finding it tough this week. The routine is really hard and I’m aching.’
“And we’re all sending pictures of ourselves soaking our feet, or with ice on our knees and it helps you take the load off when you know other people are going through the same thing. It helps that we help each other out.
“We are all in this together and even though obviously is a competition, we’re not in competition with each other. The group is really there to support each other and we’ve got a great little bond going.
“We’ve all been thrown into the deep end and we’ve all got the same goal.”
The 46-year-old actor, who jokingly compared ‘Strictly’ to being “tortured”, insists that while he’s in it to win it, he doesn’t want to “overdo” his training so he’s unable to perform on the night.
Will laughed: “It’s like being tortured from the feet up, I’ll tell you. My body’s not used to this. And also I’m not a young man anymore so I don’t bounce like I used to. You know when you’re a kid and you fall over and you just get straight up, now I just stay down.
And I’ve got old injuries from football injuries, so my knees are not very good and I’ve had operations; it’s just wear and tear. I really have to look after my body.
“We can only train as much as we can because if you overdo it, you could injure yourself, and then I won’t be able to make the show. It is hard. It really is.”
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ continues on BBC One on Saturday (08.10.22) from 6.30pm.
