King Charles to appear on The Repair Shop

OHMYGOSSIP — King Charles is to appear on ‘The Repair Shop’.
The 73-year-old monarch met with host Jay Blades and his expert team to explore their shared passion for preserving heritage craft skills as part of the BBC’s centenary celebrations, and the episode – which will air on 26 October at 8pm – sees Charles ask for them to mend a piece of pottery made for Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee and an 18th century bracket clock.
The episode was partly filmed in August 2021 and Jay, ceramics expert Kirsten Ramsay, furniture restorer Will Kirk, and horologist Steve Fletcher were invited to Dumfries House in Scotland to meet the royal, who was then still Prince of Wales.
On the programme, Charles gives Jay a tour of the estate before they meet students on the Building Craft Programme, which was set up by The Prince’s Foundation.
Jay admitted it was easy to find common ground with the king.
He said: “You’ve got someone from a council estate and someone from a royal estate that have the same interests about apprenticeships and heritage crafts
“It is unbelievable to see that two people from so far apart, from different ends of the spectrum, actually have the same interests.”
Meanwhile, the experts enjoy a tour of the property’s collection of 18th century furniture and decorative arts from Dumfries House collections manager, Satinder Kaur.
Later in the episode, in spring 2022, Charles visits the Repair Shop barn to be reunited with his items.
BBC commissioning editor Julie Shaw said: “This is an incredibly special programme which has the magic that Repair Shop viewers have come to know and love.
“People will see the former Prince of Wales as you rarely see him – and he is as captivated by the skills of the team who work on his items as any of our Repair Shop visitors.”

Sydney Sweeney to star in new Barbarella film

OHMYGOSSIP — Sydney Sweeney is to star in a new ‘Barbarella’ movie.
The ‘Euphoria’ actress is attached to a new Sony Pictures project based on Jean-Claude Forest’s French comic book series – which was previously adapted into a film in 1968, with Jane Fonda in the title role – but details about the production are being kept under wraps.
According to Deadline, the movie is still in development with no writer or director attached yet, but Sydney is also expected to serve as executive produce.
In the 1968 film, which was directed by Roger Vadim, an astronaut from the 41st century set out to find and stop evil scientist Durand Durand from bringing evil back into the galaxy.
It wasn’t a major box office hit at the time but became a cult classic, and in 2020, the Forest estate revealed there were plans for a new film.
Meanwhile, 25-year-old Sydney recently finished work on Madame Web’, ‘National Anthem’ and ‘Reality’.
She has also launched a production company and as well as working on ‘The Registration’, she partnered with Endeavor Content on a TV adaptation of ‘The Players Table’.
Sydney has become one of the most sought-after young stars following her roles in ‘The White Lotus’ and ‘Euphoria’.
After landing her part in the Marvel flick ‘Madame Web’ opposite Dakota Johnson, she previously revealed that she had been reading plenty of comic books as part of her research.
Asked if she has been studying the source material, Sydney said: “I am. I’ve been ordering a bunch of comic books. There’s a lot to learn.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Pete Davidson and Michelle Yeoh have joined the cast of ‘Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts’.
The 28-year-old comedian will portray the Autobot Mirage, while the ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ actress is to voice the Maximal Airazor in Paramount’s forthcoming film.
Director Steven Caple Jr. shared a video on Instagram of Davidson in the recording booth, and he wrote in the caption: “Pete Davidson in disguise. @transformersmovie cast is amazing, man. Sneak peek of Pete voicing Mirage and @michelleyeoh_official blessing us as the voice of Airazor #rotb 2023 (sic)”
In November, it was revealed ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ has been delayed by a year.
Paramount confirmed at the time that the upcoming prequel would now be released on 9 June, 2023, having previously been scheduled for 24 June, 2022.
‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ will be set in 1994 and takes place in New York and Peru’s Machu Picchu, even though the central characters are based in Brooklyn.
Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback are to feature in starring roles, and Ron Perlman will voice Optimus Primal, having previously done so in animated series ‘Transformers: Power of the Primes’.
The movie will see clashes between different tribes of alien robots. One of the breeds, referenced in the title, is known as Beast Wars.
The story sees the Beast Wars robots go up against natural enemies the Predacons, meaning that the Autobots and Maximals must team up to save the world.
Ramos recently gave fans a hint of what they can expect from his character, former military electronics expert Noah.
He said: “He’s all about taking care of the people he loves. (He comes) from a lower-income home, so Noah’s always hustling.
“The one thing I love about Noah is his tenacity and his heart, and his will to never quit, in spite of all the crazy things life is throwing at him.
“Then, it’s amazing to see his journey when we venture out into the world, when the humans meet bots and things start to happen.”

Jacqueline Jossa and Tom Watt returning to EastEnders for Dot’s funeral

OHMYGOSSIP — Jacqueline Jossa and Tom Watt are returning to ‘EastEnders’ for iconic character Dot Branning’s funeral this winter.
The 29-year-old actress and the 66-year-old radio presenter will reprise their roles as Dot’s step-granddaughter Lauren Branning and George ‘Lofty’ Holloway to pay their respects to the character, who was played by late actress June Brown, who passed away aged 95 in April this year.
Lord Michael Cashman will also be back as Colin Russell, Gary Hailes will reprise his role as Barry Clark, Linda Davidson is to return as Mary ‘the punk’ Smith, and Jan Graveson will portray Disa O’Brien once again.
EastEnders’ Executive Producer Chris Clenshaw said: “It’s an honour to invite so many of Walford’s beloved characters back to pay tribute to Dot.
“Over the years, Dot profoundly impacted the lives of many young people struggling with life’s biggest challenges.
“Her warmth, heart and compassion changed lives – so we wanted to reunite some of the people she helped the most. I’m thrilled these talented and generous actors wanted to share this special experience with us so we can give Dot a fitting send-off.”
Jacqueline admitted it was a “no brainer” to return to the soap for such a special occasion, but admitted it was “hard” to shoot such an emotional plot.
She said: “Coming back to ‘EastEnders’ for Dot’s funeral was a no-brainer, and it was a real honour to be invited back. I had a lot of fun but, of course, it was bittersweet.
“It was amazing to be back, but hard to be filming this storyline. I can tell the viewers now that Dot gets the beautiful send-off that she deserves. June was the light and joy of ‘EastEnders’.
“I had so much fun working with her, the incredible stories and how infectious and witty she was. June is a legend and I miss her very much.”
Lord Cashman last played Colin in 2016 when he returned to invite Dot to his wedding, knowing that she may decline because of her religious views on gay marriage, but she changed her mind and made his day.
Speaking about his upcoming return to Albert Square, Lord Cashman said: “When I was asked back I didn’t even hesitate because I couldn’t have imagined not being there for June, and I know Colin couldn’t have imagined not being there for Dot – they had that amazing, deep friendship that lasted during their years, and it was exactly the same with June and me.
“June was unique, and there are so many incredible stories I could tell, but amongst my favourite moments of Dot was her monologue to Jim – she was a character, and actress, that will last beyond the test of time.”
The returning cast are currently filming scenes which will bring viewers up to date with their lives, as they share their cherished memories of Dot.

Ekin-Su Culculoglu confirms Paige Thorne and Adam Collard split

OHMYGOSSIP — Ekin-Su Culculoglu has confirmed Paige Thorne and Adam Collard have split up.
The ‘Love Island’ star insisted the 25-year-old paramedic “deserves better” than the 26-year-old star.
She told Mirror Online: “It’s over. It’s done.
“I think Paige can do better, that’s all I can say.”
Ekin-Su believes ‘Love Island’ stars’ “real relationships” begin when they leave the villa, admitting she has grown even closer to Davide Sanclimenti, who she won the ITV2 dating show with earlier this summer.
She added: “I just think it’s wrong, you know. This is my point of view in couples; when you come out of Love Island you are pressured, in a way, to stay together.
“Your real relationship starts when you are out of the villa. My feelings for Davide grew stronger out of the villa – same with him because I saw him out in the real world. We spend time together, I see him in different environments, we’re always challenged.
“‘Love Island’ is a bubble, it’s almost like a different world – it’s not real. But, when you come out and get … Men will love the attention when they come out, it’s overwhelming but, Adam’s already had that. So I just felt it was a bit wrong.”
Ekin-Su’s comments come after speculation that Adam and Paige had gone their separate ways came after a video of him putting his arm around a woman in McDonald’s went viral.
But the woman later insisted he was just chatting to her and did “literally nothing wrong”.
Adam and Paige got together in the villa this summer when he entered the show, for a second time, as a bombshell.

The 26-year-old actress has joined Miles Teller in the new movie that will be directed by Scott Derrickson.
Plot details have not been revealed but the project has been described as a high-action, genre-bending love story.

The movie gained serious momentum this summer when Miles began eyeing up his next project after starring in ‘Top Gun: Maverick’.
Derrickson had previously been attached to direct and named ‘The Gorge’ as his next film once Teller had come on board.
Following Anya’s casting, Apple Original Films have landed the movie for the streaming service Apple TV+.
The ‘Amsterdam’ actress has been cast in the lead role for the ‘Mad Max’ prequel film ‘Furiosa’ and explained that she can’t wait to work under the direction of George Miller.
Anya said: “The thing that makes me most excited about ‘Furiosa’ is, No. 1, George Miller.
“That brain is incredible. I feel so lucky and privileged to spend time with him, and to grow alongside him.”
Taylor-Joy revealed that she was looking forward to the physical challenges offered by the part.
She said: “I’m also really excited to do something physical. To physically become something that will weirdly give me a lot of peace. I’m quite excited to work hard.”
Furiosa was played by Charlize Theron in the 2015 film ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and Anya spoke of her admiration for the Oscar-winning actress.
The ‘Last Night in Soho’ star said: “I fell in love with Furiosa, the way that Charlize presented her.

A BGT spokesperson told Mirror Online: “Ant and Dec are both unwell and have postponed all work commitments until they recover.
“Sadly, this means they were unable to film ‘Britain’s Got Talent: The Ultimate Magician’.”
‘Britain’s Got More Talent’ host Stephen Mulhern will step in for the pair.
The spokesperson added: “Whilst we wish them a speedy recovery, we are thrilled to confirm that BGT’s favourite magician, Stephen Mulhern has stepped in.”
The ‘BGT’ spin-off is due to see 10 magicians compete for a £50,000 prize fund.
It’s not known whether or not Ant and Dec will be able to attend this year’s National Television Awards, which takes place on Thursday (13.10.22).

Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez haven’t ‘planned anything’ for their wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Atkinson hasn’t “planned anything” for her wedding to Gorka Marquez.
The ex ‘Hollyoaks’ star and her ‘Strictly Coming Dancing’ pro fiance – who she met while they were paired up on the BBC One Latin and ballroom competition in 2017 – only know they want a “really small and intimate” day after they got engaged late last year.
The 37-year-old actress told OK! magazine: “There have been a few times now where we’ve driven past a registry office and said, ‘Shall we just go in and do it? Yeah, let’s do it.’ We’ve not planned anything other than we know we want it really small and really intimate.
“We’ve agreed on just close family, a handful of friends, and a big party a week or so after. It’s just finding the time really. We’ve had lots of people saying, ‘You clearly don’t want to get married if you haven’t done it yet!’.
“But I think it’s because we’re so happy with how it is.”
Gemma admitted it is all a bit “full-on” with their three-year-old daughter Mia during this time of year because of the 32-year-old dancer’s commitments to ‘Strictly’, on which he is partnered up with ‘Countryfile’ presenter Helen Skelton, 32.
She said: “I’m always aware that from this time until Christmas I need to be full-on with Mia because Gorka’s away.
“Since we got together, he’s always been on his tours and I have my work. Because it’s always been that way, we’re used to it. We always say how lucky we are to have each other, because if Gorka was with someone or I was with someone who was needy and couldn’t cope alone, it wouldn’t work.
“It’s not possible with our jobs. During lockdown we did nearly four months away from each other. He was in London, locked with the Strictly bubble and I was up north. We just thought, ‘It is what it is.’
“I think it’s nice because it keeps you missing them and we always, always have something to talk about because we’ve been doing our own thing.”

Sir David Jason’s favourite Only Fools And Horses episode

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir David Jason has revealed his favourite ‘Only Fools And Horses’ episode.
The 82-year-old actor – who portrayed Derek ‘Del Boy’ Trotter in the BBC sitcom – spoke about the “sheer joy” at filming the 1989 special, ‘The Jolly Boys’ Outing’.
In an extract from his new book ‘The Twelve Dels Of Christmas’, obtained by The Sun, he said: “It’s the sequence where Harry Nilsson’s Everybody’s Talkin’ plays as we see the cast on board the coach to Margate, and the day’s high jinks starting to unfold.
“The magic of ‘Only Fools’ is compressed into this single sequence – the gang of friends that the cast had become, and the sheer fun of it all. And so many of those faces no longer with us, of course.
“Nowadays the glimpse of John Challis reaching across to swipe my hat off is so poignant that I practically have to close my eyes, and the whole thing is a world that’s gone.”
Meanwhile, David recently said he thinks TV bosses need to be more patient to find the next ‘Only Fools And Horses’.
He told fans at a convention: “It was not greeted well.
“With comedy you have to give it time to breathe, so the audience can learn about the characters.
“We got another series and even given the chance to keep improving. They don’t want to do that these days, they just want the audience figures.”
Meanwhile, David also noted that the show’s creator John Sullivan had to cut hours of jokes from the script before they even started filming the first series.
He said: “I said, ‘This is ridiculous. We are cutting and throwing away more funny material than most of the other comedy shows have got in their whole show.’
“It was gold dust and it was so funny but we were just throwing it away.
“We were told that situation comedies had to be 30 minutes… we said, ‘But this is Fools And Horses’. So that is the way we got it back to 40 minutes and then we had 50 minutes, then an hour.”

Dame Barbara Windsor’s widower Scott Mitchell opens up about sex life

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Barbara Windsor’s widower Scott Mitchell has opened up about their sex life.
The star of the ‘Carry On’ films series died in December 2020 aged 83 after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease leaving her husband of 27 years devastated, but 59-year-old widower Scott has shared details of their life together in his new book ‘By Your Side: My Life Loving Barbara Windsor’.
In an extract from the book, shared in The Sun, he said: “On only our second date Bar had talked to me in detail about her many, many conquests. She said it was always good to brush the cobwebs away.”
He added that Barbara didn’t want to stop him living his life to the full, but their arrangement “did start to get a bit mixed up”.
He went on to say: “She had always said sex was sex and love was love, and she wasn’t one for double standards, so she kept her reservations to herself and never asked me directly.”
Scott also revealed he would drop Barbara home in a cab before heading back to “enjoy himself” in the West End.
He wrote: “It wasn’t to hook up with women, though we both had a similar attitude towards sex, but to score some coke.”
Scott previously revealed he was stunned by nasty comments from online trolls following his wife’s death and he opened up about the abuse from online critics who accused him of only being with the actress for her money.
He has recalled a time after losing his wife when a report revealed he had changed their joint company into his sole name, revealing a troll wrote: “I see the long game paid off.”
Scott told The Sun: “I don’t look at comments but for some reason, one was above the line and someone had said, “I see the long game paid off.
“After 27 years and everything we went through together, it was shocking that someone could actually think like that. But it showed me that whatever you do, there’s always going to be someone critical.”

Comedian Darren Harriott latest celebrity signed up for ‘Dancing on Ice’

OHMYGOSSIP — Comedian Darren Harriott is the latest celebrity to sign up for ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The 34-year-old said he fears his big feet will get in the way of his success and his family are taking bets he take a tumble on the opening show.
He confirmed his participation on Trisha Goddard’s TalkTV show, saying: “I’ve got giant feet, I don’t skate and I can’t dance!
“My family has already made bets – they’re making bets that I’ll fall on the first episode!”
Best known as a stand-up, Darren was nominated for best newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017 and best show in 2019.
He’s the eighth famous face to join the line-up of the ITV skating show, with the others confirmed as ex-EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer, 50, former footballer John Fashanu, 60, Love Island’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, 28, Olympian Nile Wilson, 26, actress Mollie Gallagher, 24, drag queen The Vivienne, 29, and former TOWIE regular Joey Essex, 32.
A total of 11 celebrities will skate live each week on the upcoming series.
Joey said on Friday (07.10.22) he had been set to appear in the 2013 run but had been “too immature” and was “messing around” during rehearsal.
He added: “I’m so excited. I wanted something in my life with structure and it’s more serious than what I usually do.
“I’ve done all the dating shows in the world but this is more serious… like ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
“I used to go to foam parties in a dancing rink – I’m not the best skater. I did it maybe when I was 11 or 12 but nothing proper. It’s scary, it’s a competition, I’ve done ‘The Jump’ which is similar, sort of… well, I won it, but I don’t know how.
“This is one of them shows I’m looking at thinking winning would be a bonus, I’m gonna put all my energy into it.
“When I came out of the jungle in 2013, we met with producers, I went on the ice but I was a little bit immature and was messing around and it wasn’t right for me and the producers knew too but at this time of my life I’m ready.
“I’m already in training now… well not for the ice but in the gym – doing the running.”

Dwayne Johnson didn’t want padded Black Adam costume

OHMYGOSSIP — Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson wasn’t happy to find his ‘Black Adam’ costume had padding.
The former wrestler plays the titular character in the upcoming DC Comics movie and producer Beau Flynn recalled receiving an unimpressed phone call from the actor who was keen to show off his own physique in the film.
He told SFX magazine: “Dwayne is such a great guy, he’s never been angry with me but when we sent the suit to him in Hawaii, he called me up and he’s like, ‘What the f*** is going on? There’s pads in the suit. “He’s like, ‘I work out and kill myself for a year. I want to show my body.”
The producer was very impressed by the ‘Jumani’ star’s commitment to the role.
He said: “Normally your first thing as a producer when a movie like this is coming together would be to say to the star of the film, ‘Look, I just hired two trainers for you, you’re going to start in the gym, we’re going to start doing a diet, it’s a six-month regime.’ Obviously I didn’t have to make those calls to Dwayne.
“He already has his trainer, he already has a specific diet of 5,000 calores a day, and he trained on this movie for every single day over a year to get this body right…
“Every detail there is him and that level of commitment is mind-blowing.
“As a producer, when you get to have that kind of commitment and dedication and passion from an actor… that’s the star of the movie.”

TJ Miller won’t work with ‘mean’ Ryan Reynolds again

OHMYGOSSIP — T.J. Miller has vowed never to work with “horrifically mean” Ryan Reynolds again.
The 41-year-old actor portrayed bartender Weasel, a friend to the titular character in both ‘Deadpool’ movies but he admitted an interaction with the film’s lead left him convinced the Canadian star “hates” him and he’s got no desire to share the screen with him again in future.
Speaking on ‘The Adam Corolla Show’, he said: “As the character, he was, like, horrifically mean to me. But to me. As if I’m Weasel.
“He was like, ‘You know what’s great about you, Weasel? You’re not the star, but you do just enough exposition that it’s funny and then we can leave and get back to the real movie.’
“I just kind of listened and thought it was weird and then I got off stage because they were like, ‘Cut…?’ ”
TJ suggested Ryan singled him out because he was insecure.
He said: “That’s exactly why he said that. Because I’m not funnier than he is at all, right? And I haven’t been in more movies than him.”
The ‘Ready Player One’ actor found the interaction “weird” and has no desire to return to the franchise, though he wants it to continue.
He added: “Would I work with him again? No. I would not work with him again.
“I sorta wish him well, because he’s so good at Deadpool, and I think it’s weird that he hates me.
“I don’t wish them any ill will. I think [Ryan] should make a ‘Deadpool 3’ and continue to make movies.
“I just think he doesn’t like me, and I thought it was weird how he expressed that.”
A few weeks ago, Ryan revealed Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine in the third outing of the franchise, which will be released in September 2024.
Speaking in a Twitter video, Ryan said: “Hey everyone, we’re extremely sad to have missed D23 [Expo], but we’ve been working very hard on the next ‘Deadpool’ film for a good long while now.
“I’ve had to really search my soul on this one. His first appearance in the MCU obviously needs to feel special. We need to stay true to the character, find new depth, motivation, meaning.
“Every ‘Deadpool’ needs to stand out and stand apart. It’s been an incredible challenge that has forced me to reach down deep inside. And I … I have nothing. Yeah, just completely empty up here. And terrifying. But we did have one idea.”
Hugh then walked through the room in the background of the video, and his friend asked: “Hey, Hugh, you want to play Wolverine one more time?”
He replied: “Yeah, sure, Ryan.”

Sue Cleaver to take part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — Sue Cleaver has reportedly signed up for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who has played Eileen Grimshaw on the soap since 2002 – is looking forward to “challenging herself” when she heads Down Under next month to take part in the beloved reality show.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Sue is a very much-loved Street legend and the bosses are delighted to have her as part of the line-up this year.
“She will be a brilliant addition, and is looking forward to really pushing out of her comfort zone and challenging herself in the jungle.”
The former ‘Dinner Ladies’ star is expecting to be joined on the show – which is returning to Australia for the first time in three years – by Boy George, Chris Moyles, Seann Walsh, Owen Warner and Olivia Attwood, though the line-up has not officially been confirmed.
It was claimed earlier this week that Olivia – who finished third on ‘Love Island’ alongside ex-boyfriend Chris Hughes in 2017 – will be the first ever star of the dating show to take part in the competition, with ITV bosses hoping she’ll be a hit with viewers as they are keen to secure her for more projects in the future.
An insider said: “This is a sign that the dating favourite is now so big and produces figures with such high profiles that they can no longer be dismissed.
“Olivia is already viewed as a rising star on ITV and this is likely to serve as a launchpad for potentially fronting more mainstream shows with the broadcaster.”
Meanwhile, she has some history with ‘I’m A Celebrity’ after appearing as a special guest on spin-off show ‘Extra Camp’, when she had to endure Bushtucker Trials and was made to eat sheep brains.
An ITV spokesperson said: “We will announce our line up nearer transmission.”

Liam Charles was Masked Dancer’s Candlestick

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Charles has been unmasked as the Candlestick on ‘The Masked Dancer’.
The ‘Junior Bake Off’ judge stunned panel Jonathan Ross, Oti Mabuse, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan and Peter Crouch when he revealed his identity after landing in the bottom two with Omomatopoeia.
Mo – who had guessed Olly Murs – exclaimed: “I know him! How did I not get it was you? I’m so annoyed at myself.”
Liam replied: “Bro, I have no idea.”
Host Joel Dommett admitted everyone was stunned by the 25-year-old baker because they were “all under the illusion that you were a professional dancer, or at least someone with some dance experience”.
Liam said: “I promise you I have zero dance experience.”
Liam was asked about his choice of costume and revealed it was another clue.
He said: “Cakes, candles…”
The baker admitted he hadn’t told anyone he was taking part in the show but had had a great time.
He said: “I wanted to keep it a surprise because no one would expect me to do something like this, especially wearing such a tight costume.
“I’ve absolutely loved it.”
Liam’s unmasking means Onomatopoeia, Pearly King, Odd Socks, Scissors, Sea Slug all go through to the semi-finals.
Last weekend’s show saw Steph McGovern unmasked as Tomato Sauce.
Upon her elimination, she said: “I’ve loved it, I had the time of my life!”
The ‘Steph’s Packed Lunch’ host had become the third celebrity to face the chop on the ITV show that night, following the shock eviction of David and Frankie Seaman, who had been posing as Pillar and Post but had been forced to pull out of the competition due to an injury.
At the top of the show, host Joel said: “Sadly, Pillar took a tumble during rehearsals and I am absolutely gutted to tell you that on medical advice they have had to withdraw from the competition.”
The show has already seen the departure actress of ‘Gavin and Stacey’ actress Joanna Page – who had dressed as a Pig – as well as documentary host Stacey Dooley, who was unveiled as a Prawn Cocktail, and choirmaster Gareth Malone, who was revealed to have been performing as Cactus.
