Stormzy wants to go on Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Stormzy wants to go on ‘Big Brother’.
The ‘Hide and Seek’ singer would love to be a contestant on the fly-on-the-wall show – which is getting rebooted by ITV2 next year – but wants to take part in the “civilian” version, not the celebrity competition.
Stormzy thinks he would prove to be a very divisive figure in the house and would spark strong feelings in viewers.
He said: “I would want to go on ‘Big Brother’ – not the celebrity one but the civilian one and just be me. I’ve got this theory that I would either be really hated or really loved, no middle ground but I’d miss my dogs so bad though, forget my family I’d miss my dogs man.”
The 29-year-old musician also expressed his interest in being a judge on ‘The X Factor’ when he eventually gives up his recording career.
Speaking to Fleur East on ‘The Hits Radio Breakfast Show’, he said: “If I had to go on a reality show I would want to be a judge on The X Factor. I did it one year, I joined Nicole [Scherzinger] and that was amazing. I had a great time! I want to do that when I hang up my mike.”
Fleur is currently competing on ‘Strictly Come Dancing and after she and her professional partner Vito Coppola found themselves in the bottom two last weekend, he urged people to go out and vote for the ‘Sax’ hitmaker.
He said: “Are you on ‘Strictly’? I know ‘Strictly’ is like the biggest [reality show], it’s the king of all of them. I’m going to watch ‘Strictly’ now, I’m going to tune in, and if you’re listening come on man, you got her in the bottom two you need to vote on Saturday night, it’s not nice to have her in the bottom two!”

Ryan Reynolds developing Disney theme park movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Reynolds is developing a new movie about Disney’s Society of Explorers and Adventurers theme park attraction.
The ‘Deadpool’ star is teaming up with Qui Nguyen – the writer of Disney’s upcoming animated feature ‘Strange World’ – for what is intended to be a live-action feature.
Ryan will produce the film with executives at his Maximum Effort banner.
The SEA, as the attraction is known, has a detailed mythology dating back to 16th-century Italy. It was first introduced to theme park visitors at the Tokyo Disneyland in 2001 before expanding across the globe.
The attraction comes with a host of characters including Harrison Hightower III, Mary Oceaneer and Lord Henry Mystic.
The project is intended to mark the launch of a franchise.
The new feature is different from the forthcoming Disney+ series from Ron Moore that is also based on the SEA. Moore’s series takes place in the Magic Kingdom Universe – where the themed lands and characters of Disney’s parks and classic films exist in a different reality.
Reynolds, 45, was recently described as “horrifically mean” by ‘Deadpool’ co-star T.J. Miller – although the latter revealed that the pair had patched things up after Ryan had got in contact.
Miller said: “It was really cool, he emailed me the next day. It was a misunderstanding, so I emailed him back and now it’s, like, fine.”
The 41-year-old star added that his comments had been “misconstrued” and was simply a tale from his time on the set of the blockbuster.
He said: “It was just me telling a story from on set that I thought was weird. That was it.”

Liam Neeson set to star in Naked Gun reboot

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Neeson is in talks to star in a ‘Naked Gun’ reboot.
Insiders have told Deadline that Paramount Pictures is moving forward with the movie with Akiva Goldsman set to direct.
Plot details are yet to be revealed but Liam may be playing the son of Detective Frank Drebin instead of stepping into the role that was made famous by the late Leslie Nielsen.
The original 1988 movie starred Nielsen as Drebin, a detective with plenty of fight but lacking in common sense. Over the course of three movies, he turned the loveable character into a comic icon.
The franchise also starred Priscilla Presley and Ricardo Montalban and proved to be a huge hit.
The first film was based on the 1982 TV series ‘Police Squad!’, which had been cancelled after six episodes.
Dan Gregor and Doug Mand have agreed a deal to pen the script for the reboot after Mark Hentemann and Alec Sulkin wrote the previous draft. Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins are producing via their Fuzzy Door company.
Talks began about rebooting the ‘Naked Gun’ franchise following Nielsen’s death in 2010 but the right story remained elusive. Development eventually started to ramp up following the success of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ – another long-awaited reboot from the 1980s.
Liam, 70, is arguably best known for his action roles but has shown a flair for comedy during his career and has appeared in MacFarlane’s projects ‘Family Guy’ and ‘Ted 2’.
The pair have strong ties and Neeson committed to star in the film when MacFarlane approached him about the picture.

Mark Charnock: Emmerdale cast didn’t know about King Charles’ birthday message

OHMYGOSSIP — None of the ‘Emmerdale’ cast knew King Charles had filmed a special 50th birthday message for the soap, until it aired at the National Television Awards.
Mark Charnock, who scooped the Serial Drama Performance prize at Thursday night’s (13.10.22) ceremony at London’s OVO Arena Wembley, admitted he thought the video was going to be of a royal impressionist when NTAs host Joel Dommett introduced the special clip.
He said: “None of us knew. I imagine the team upstairs might have known, but we had no idea. So when Joel Dommett said, ‘Now we’ve got a VT from …’ I thought it would be an impressionist.
“It was so nice what he said. I’ve just decided he watches ‘Emmerdale’. Every episode.”
Mark was delighted to scoop a prize, but admits he has “no recollection” of what he said during his acceptance speech.
He said: “I have absolutely no recollection of what I said at all. I don’t even know if I spoke in the English language, it was just all these extra words that were in a recycle bin. If it was in order I feel that was a win in itself.
“I was genuinely chuffed to be nominated. When they said my name out it was like, ‘What?’ ”
Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary special episode will air on Sunday (16.10.22), 50 years to the day since the first-ever episode, and Mark has teased fans it is “really moving” and “so dramatic”.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’, he added: “We went to a viewing and I sat back and thought, ‘I’m going to watch my mates now,’ and the biggest compliment I can give to that episode is I just forgot. It was one of the best hours of ‘Emmerdale’ I’ve ever seen. It’s so dramatic. It’s really moving. I can’t tell you how strongly I feel about that episode.
“There are some storylines that come to a head in that episode. It’s so brilliantly shot, it’s really cinematic.”

Maisie Smith got through Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins challenges by rapping in her head

OHMYGOSSIP — Maisie Smith got through some of her ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ challenges by rapping in her head.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star – who is competing alongside Calum Best, Ferne McCann, Shannon Courtenay, Ashley Cain, AJ Pritchard and Jade Jones in the final- would “find a little beat” to the ear-piercing drill sounds used in the challenges on the Channel 4 military endurance show to make it through.
The 21-year-old actress told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “It was the highest frequencies in the world, screaming into your ears for hour upon hour.
“If it had a repetitive pattern to it, I’d find a little beat and make a little rap.”
Recently, Maisie – who joined the BBC One soap as Tiffany Butcher, the daughter of Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer), aged six – admits she knows how to “look confident” thanks to her acting career, but insists she actually has “no idea what I’m doing”.
She said: “I have no idea how people see me because I just assume you just take one look at me and think, ‘Oh cocky little Essex girl’, which is true, but there’s a lot more to me that people don’t know.
“I was on ‘EastEnders’ for 13 years, which was all I can remember. I sometimes think I’m more comfortable being Tiffany than I am being Maisie.
“The good thing about being an actress is that I know how to look confident. In reality, I have no idea what I’m doing.”
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star – who hasn’t ruled out a return to Albert Square – admitted she has “struggled” to command conversations at times over the years.
Maisie said: “I’ve struggled sort of speaking and I’ve had, not a stutter, but I just could go blank and words wouldn’t come out and I think the more that happened, the more people would just sort of talk over me.
“I found it pretty hard and I just hated the person I was for a long time.”

The Hairy Bikers’ Dave Myers says ‘life will never be the same again’ after cancer

OHMYGOSSIP — The Hairy Bikers’ Dave Myers says his life will “never be the same again” after cancer.
The ex ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star – who revealed in May this year he had been diagnosed with the disease – believes getting the all clear will be “life affirming”.
The 65-year-old TV chef said: “I tell you. I’ll feel I’ve made it when I get the all-clear from this bloody cancer. That’s going to be completely life-changing, life-affirming.
“And life never will be the same again.”
Si King, 55 – who forms the other half of their motorcycling and cooking duo – admitted he would’ve “probably” shaved his head in solidarity if Dave had wanted him to.
The 55-year-old star: “Er, no. I mean, if he’d asked us, I probably would have.”
Dave also admitted his wife Liliana Orzac told him she would cut her hair off “out of support” for him, but he rejected her gesture.
Dave told The Guardian newspaper: “My wife said the same thing. ‘I’ll shave mine out of support.’ I said, ‘Don’t do that because, then, you do realise, we can’t go out together?’ Not being sexist, but I think [baldness] is easier for a bloke.
“My little fuzzy hair’s coming back now. It’s all on numbers. And the numbers are going the right way. So it encourages you to carry on.”
Previously, Dave – who has endured 14 chemotherapy sessions and has six more to complete – confessed he wouldn’t wish the process on anyone.
He said: “Fortunately I think the chemo’s working. But the effect that chemotherapy has on you … every day is a school day.
“My eyes are sore because my eyelashes have fallen out. It’s c*** like that, that’s really irritating.”

Adam Collard: Me and Paige aren’t together

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Collard has confirmed he and Paige Thorne are no longer together.
The former ‘Love Island’ star has broken his silence following speculation he and the paramedic had gone their separate ways, after they met on the ITV2 dating show earlier this summer.
He told The Sun newspaper: “We’re not together. Things happen. But I mean she is a great girl.”
Earlier this week, Ekin-Su Culculoglu – who won this year’s ‘Love Island’ alongside boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti – admitted Paige and Adam had called it a day, and she insisted the 25-year-old star “deserves better” than 26-year-old Adam.
She told Mirror Online: “It’s over. It’s done.
“I think Paige can do better, that’s all I can say.”
Ekin-Su, 28, also admitted she thinks ‘Love Island’ stars’ “real relationships” begin when they leave the villa, admitting she has grown even closer to Davide since the show ended.
She added: “I just think it’s wrong, you know. This is my point of view in couples; when you come out of Love Island you are pressured, in a way, to stay together.
“Your real relationship starts when you are out of the villa. My feelings for Davide grew stronger out of the villa – same with him because I saw him out in the real world. We spend time together, I see him in different environments, we’re always challenged.
“‘Love Island’ is a bubble, it’s almost like a different world – it’s not real. But, when you come out and get … Men will love the attention when they come out, it’s overwhelming but, Adam’s already had that. So I just felt it was a bit wrong.”
News of Adam and Paige’s split comes after speculation they had gone their separate ways came when a video of him putting his arm around a woman in McDonald’s went viral.
The woman later insisted he was just chatting to her and did “literally nothing wrong”.

Strictly’s Matt Goss: The jive has completely taken over my life

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Goss has been able to eat as much curry as he wanted this week because he’s burned so many calories training for his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ jive.
The Bros singer and his pro partner Nadiya Bychkova will perform a routine to Sir Paul McCartney’s version of ‘All Shook Up’ on Saturday’s (14.10.22) episode of the BBC Latin and ballroom show, and while he admits his knees are in pain from his gruelling training, he has had “a lot of fun”.
He said: “All I know is that my knees are hurting!
“The jive is relentless from start to finish and it completely takes over your life.
“It does allow you to eat as much curry as you want because you burn so many calories but it’s intimidating. It’s also been a lot of fun though, and I’m looking forward to dancing it on Saturday night.”
The 54-year-old singer admitted his outfit on Saturday will leave little to the imagination.
Asked if he’s wearing tight trousers to gain extra points from judge Craig Revel Horwood, he said: “Absolutely not! Although they don’t leave a lot to the imagination.”
Matt admits he feels “at peace” and happy when he is on stage, but admitted he finds it “very challenging” coming out of his shell when he’s not performing.
Speaking to Pat Sharp on Greatest Hits Radio, he added: “Look, I’m quite a shy person off stage, I’m certainly quite reserved, but when I’m on stage I do feel very at peace and it’s the happiest place for me in my life when I’m on stage.
“Off stage is difficult for me, so this environment is challenging emotionally, coming out of my shell is genuinely very challenging.
“There’s no ego in my heart and it’s just about that moment when you have to come out of your comfort zone.
“On stage four nights a week in Las Vegas is definitely where I excel and where I feel very connected to an audience, but this experience is all brand new to me and I just have to put that Vegas showman into the dancing.”

Maya Jama confirmed as new Love Island host

OHMYGOSSIP — Maya Jama has been confirmed as the new ‘Love Island’ host.
The 28-year-old star will replace departing presenter Laura Whitmore – who quit the ITV2 dating show in August – and she’ll be taking over the role for the upcoming winter series and beyond.
The show’s official Instagram account shared a video of someone scrolling through headlines linking her to the role, only to reveal Maya herself with a signature ‘Love Island’ water bottle and suitcase.
The team wrote: “Okay, the rumours are true. Say hey to your brand-new #LoveIsland host @mayajama!”
She replied to the announcement: “SO BLOODY EXCITED! GET ME ON THAT ISLAND”
Laura replaced late TV presenter Caroline Flack and hosted the show for three series.
However, she quit ‘Love Island’ over summer, hinting at some issues behind the scenes.
She said: “I hate having anything I’m not allowed to say. I couldn’t ask Love Islanders if they were OK.
“It is hard. Your face is the front of the show but I am one tiny person and have no producing role so I couldn’t say if I didn’t think something was OK.”
Announcing her decision to leave, Laura explained that “certain elements” were tough to deal with.
The star – who is marred to the show’s narrator Iain Sterling – said in a statement: “Some news! I won’t be hosting the next series of ‘Love Island’.
“There are certain elements of the show I’ve found very difficult that cannot be changed some due to the format, including the flying back and forth to South Africa along with my new conflicting projects. I wish it was still possible but know you’ll be in safe hands.”
Laura initially took over hosting duties to fill in for previous presenter Caroline Flack and she later took on the role full time in the aftermath of her pal’s death in 2020.
She added: “I was only planning to fill in for Caroline for a series and it turned into 3 series. I hope I did you proud Caroline.”

Malin Andersson felt ‘guilty’ about falling pregnant after losing her daughter

OHMYGOSSIP — Malin Andersson felt “a little bit of guilt” about falling pregnant after she tragically lost her daughter Consy.
The ex ‘Love Island’ star experienced a “longing kind of sorrow” for her first daughter – who died at four weeks after being born seven weeks premature – with her ex Tom Kemp, following the birth of her daughter Xaya, now seven months.
The 29-year-old television personality told GB News: “You know, people were like, a lot of people said, ‘You know, oh my God, you’re so lucky. You’re rainbow baby should be happy. You know, the start of something new.’ But deep down there was this longing kind of sorrow for Consy, and almost feeling a little bit of guilt I was pregnant again.
“Grief is very complex, and it’s something more people have to understand. And also not to mention that when I was pregnant, getting asked if ‘this was your first,’ I’d be like, in my head obviously, I wouldn’t bother saying anything because I wouldn’t want to get into it.”
Malin – who split from Xaya’s father Jared soon after her birth – believes losing a child is still seen as a “taboo subject”.
She said: “I think it’s something that isn’t spoken about at all and it’s almost a taboo subject where I don’t hear about baby loss.
“I was the first in my kind of friendship circle and my friends to have lost a child.
“And when I went through it I felt ever so lonely, so I think the more talking we do about it, the more awareness we can raise, and you know, people feel less alone.”
Malin admitted she thinks others “feel quite awkward” mentioning Consy, but she wants to remember her little one and tell bereaved parents “their feelings are valid” .
She said: “You know, it makes me feel like she was here at some point and when people kind of skirt around, it’s like, you know, they’re trying to forget that it happens and obviously that’s not the case. They just don’t know what to say.
“I think speaking about it, just really normalises it and makes the mother or father feel you know that their feelings are valid.”

Ex Gogglebox star Josh Tapper is running to be a Labour MP

OHMYGOSSIP — Ex ‘Gogglebox’ star Josh Tapper is running to be a Labour MP.
The 25-year-old television personality feels it is “time to give back and fight for what you believe in” as he debuted his campaign to become the representative for Chipping Barnet in the House of Commons.
In a video posted to Twitter, he said: “Hi, I’m Josh Tapper and I’m standing to be Chipping Barnet’s next MP.
Some people may think I’m too young or inexperienced, but I ask you to judge me on my record.
“From reversing Tory neglect on our green spaces to pioneering institutional change of mental health support.
“I’ve always shown that no matter how big the challenge, I’ll always take it on and get the job done.”
Josh listed his credentials, such as working at a local food bank and his belief that “in 21st century Britain, no one should be going hungry, let alone our NHS heroes”.
The former campaign assistant – who left the Channel 4 show in 2017 – claimed “the Tories have driven our country into the ground” and insisted the country needs “a transformative Labour government”.
In the caption of the clip posted on social media Josh wrote: “Politics is about people. Our community taught me to work hard, stand up for others, give back and fight for what you believe in. Theresa Villiers doesn’t fight for the change we need. That’s why I’m standing to be the first Labour MP for Chipping Barnet.”
When he departed the show – a year before his dad Jonathan, mum Nikki and sister Amy moved on – Josh admitted his “focus” was on his career.
He said: “The option to go back is always there but I want to move away from that and the focus is now very much on my job.
“Of course, I miss it and the sitting on the couch watching TV. But I am more focused on my future … it’s a more a secure path.”

David Jason collapsed and couldn’t get back up after ‘seriously bad’ COVID case

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir David Jason had a “seriously bad” case of coronavirus this summer, so much so he collapsed and couldn’t get back up.
The ‘Only Fools and Horses’ legend has told how he fell against a radiator when he was suffering from COVID, but he didn’t have the strength to pull himself back up.
He said: “I got it seriously bad. Because all the muscles weren’t working, I collapsed and I fell against the radiator … I was so weak, I couldn’t get up.
“I crawled to the bed. The muscles weren’t working and I used the bed to try and stand up so that I could go to where I wanted to get, and also get back into bed, and I couldn’t …
“I tried for about a quarter of an hour, trying all sorts of things to stand up so I could walk about.”
David – who is known for playing Del Boy Trotter in the iconic BBC sitcom – ended up having to crawl along the floor using his head as a lever, which left him with painful carpet burns on his forehead and nose, before his wife Gill Hinchcliffe eventually came to his rescue.
Speaking on ‘BBC Breakfast’, the ‘Open All Hours’ actor added: “My arms wouldn’t work and my legs wouldn’t work, so being a very creative and inventive person, I thought, how will I get from here to the door?
“You know when you see a walrus if you watch David Attenborough, and they walk on land, they crawl on land? That’s what I did.
“But in order to do that, I had to use my head. So now I’m lying face down on the ground, and in order to get to the door – and the arms really weren’t working and the legs weren’t working – I was using my head to drag me to the door.
“So just as I got to the door, the door opened … and it was my good lady wife and she managed to help me get back into bed. But later on the next day, I got carpet burns all down on my forehead and across the top of my nose.”

Rachel Riley’s dad ‘records every episode’ of Countdown

OHMYGOSSIP — Susie Dent says Rachel Riley’s dad “records every episode” of ‘Countdown’.
The 57-year-old wordsmith revealed the 36-year-old math whizz’s father saves a copy of the Channel 4 daytime game show on a daily basis to ensure he has a keepsake of his daughter’s time on the programme.
Susie told OK! magazine: “I think it’s because the game is just so compulsive. It’s part of the fabric of our lives and I think it is for a lot of our viewers, too. Rachel Riley’s dad still records every episode, so he has every episode she’s ever been on!”
The Dictionary Corner queen has a lot of “laughs” with the ex ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star – who replaced Carol Vorderman as ‘Countdown’ co-host in 2008 – while they film the show, despite the “freezing” conditions in the studio.
Susie said: “I love all the laughs we have. Myself and Rachel are always freezing in the studio, so we actually have joint custody of a hot water bottle!
“We film five shows a day, so it’s a hectic schedule. Rachel has to change her whole outfit for every show, whereas I only have to change my top half as people don’t ever really see my legs, but I do have them! It’s a cliché to say, as people talk about TV families, but I do think ‘Countdown’ is one of the best. It’s something I’d really miss.”
Susie praised Anne Robinson, who took over hosting duties from Nick Hewer last summer before quitting the programme, for her “amazing work ethic”.
She said: “She has the most amazing work ethic. The thing I love about that time was that she really brought the contestants’ stories out and I don’t think we’d had that to that degree before.
“Every single host has brought something new to the show. I was asked the other day to come up with a word to describe each host and the one I chose for Anne was ‘consummate’.”

Brendan Gleeson joined Joker sequel to work with Joaquin Phoenix

OHMYGOSSIP — Brendan Gleeson joined the ‘Joker’ sequel to work with Joaquin Phoenix.
The 67-year-old actor has been cast in ‘Joker: Folie a Deux’ and revealed that he joined the Todd Phillips film to collaborate with Phoenix after the pair starred in the 2004 film ‘The Village’ together.
Brendan confirmed that the success of the original movie – with Joaquin claiming the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Arthur Fleck/Joker – also played a part in persuading him to take the role.
Asked how the ‘Joker’ sequel appealed to him, he told Collider: “It wasn’t the material, which is a great way to get me out of having to answer any questions about the criteria.
“It was the achievement of the first film. I worked with Joaquin before on ‘The Village’… And so I knew him from then.”
Brendan continued: “And that performance, I’m still in awe of it. That performance as Joker, in that first movie. It was one of the most extraordinary achievements I’ve ever had.
“And for Todd to have – Worked the movie around to allow for that, I didn’t have to be asked twice. I really didn’t.”
Lady Gaga has been cast in the sequel as Harley Quinn and Margot Robbie – who played the Joker’s love interest in three movies – loves the idea of the character being passed around by “great actors”.
The 32-year-old actress said: “It makes me so happy because I said from the very beginning, all I want is for Harley Quinn to be one of those characters, the way Macbeth or Batman always gets passed from great actor to great actor.
“And I feel like in not so many cases are they female characters.
“Queen Elizabeth I, but like beyond that — which I got to have a crack at as well, which I was honoured to do. I was like, ‘Wow, Cate Blanchett did Queen Elizabeth I. Now I get to.’ ”

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson desperate to make Black Adam vs Superman

OHMYGOSSIP — Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is desperate to make a Black Adam versus Superman film.
The 50-year-old star will play the title role in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) blockbuster ‘Black Adam’ and wants to pit his character against the Caped Crusader.
Asked by CinemaBlend about the plans, Dwayne said: “Absolutely. That is the whole point of this, man.”
The former WWE star has promised that ‘Black Adam’ will usher in a “new era” for the DC Universe and Johnson suggested that the wishes of fans will be listened to.
The Rock explained: “I have been saying for some time, there’s a new era in the DC Universe that’s about to begin.
“And what I meant by that was introducing a brand new character. It’s not a sequel, not an existing IP. It was… you know, ‘Black Adam’. Two years ago the world had no idea who he was. We did, but not the rest of the masses out there.
“What I really meant by, ‘This is a new era in the DC Universe’, is listening to the fans. And doing our best to give the fans what they want.”
Johnson is determined to be the actor who gives the fans what they wish for and hopes to satisfy with ‘Black Adam’, which will be released later this month.
The ‘Red Notice’ star said: “I’ve been waiting for someone to step up and address the fans and say, ‘Hey, we hear you’.
“So finally, after many months turned into many years, we ended up with what we ended up at. And the whole goal and intention now is to this new era, new time. Now let’s build out.”

Big Brother bosses have Emily Atack and Vick Hope as frontrunners to host reboot

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Atack and Vick Hope are in the running to host ‘Big Brother’.
The iconic reality show – which aired on Channel 4 for a decade until 2010 with Channel 5 relaunching it the following year until it ended in 2018 – is returning in 2023 on ITV2, and it’s said the ‘Inbetweeners’ actress and BBC Radio 1 DJ are leading the way after holding talks with bosses about the upcoming reboot.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Emily and Vick have emerged as the favourites. A huge list was drawn up with a number of big-name stars on it, including [Davina McCall].
“However, there is a feeling bringing in a fresh face would be good for the reboot.”
Davina hosted the original show, and she was part of the initial list alongside Roman Kemp, but bosses are keen to explore new possibilities, with Emily “already part of the ITV2 family” thanks to her work on ‘Celebrity Juice’, while Vick “is a great interviewer” and could bring “in a younger audience”.
The source added: “Roman has also had talks and has made the shortlist. Rylan Clark is another name in the mix but like Davina he has worked on ‘Big Brother’ before.
“If the production team and ITV decide they want a totally fresh start then he won’t make the cut.”
Meanwhile, it’s said discussions with stars on the list are still going on, with a decision still a while away.
The insider said: “The final decision won’t be made for a few more weeks and talks with the stars on the shortlist are ongoing.”
Applications for the new series are now open for potential housemates, who have been given a hint of what to expect.
They will “face a series of clever tasks, nail-biting nominations and live evictions, with the public once again playing a crucial role, voting throughout the series and ultimately determining the winner”.
