Phillip Schofield’s Waitrose wine range listed as ‘unavailable’ on supermarket’s website

OHMYGOSSIP — Phillip Schofield’s wine range with Waitrose has been listed as “unavailable” on the supermarket’s website.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter, 60, put his tasting skills to use in 2020 when he launched his range of wine boxes with the chain.
But Waitrose has now said about discontinuing it: “It’s absolutely normal for us to review our selection from time to time. We haven’t sold this wine for a while.”
It came after customers took the web to claim the range was “undrinkable” – though other shoppers defended Phillip’s range against their negative reviews, with one saying it was one of their favourites.
Before the range was pulled, drinkers could pick from a Falanghina (white), at £24.99 for 2.25litres, and a red, Nero di Troia, “ethically sourced from independent Italian vineyards”.
Phillip said about the launch: “I wanted figures on how eco-friendly box wine was and I wanted it to be good value. The result is something I felt I could really invest in.
“I have really enjoyed the process of sourcing, selecting and now sharing these wines with everyone.
“I don’t think there is anything I have been so passionate about, so I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do.”
The CEO and co-founder of ‘When in Rome’, Rob Malin, said at the time: “We are very excited about this launch.
“We asked Phillip if he would be keen to choose his own Italian craft wine, which he was really excited by, so we took a number of samples from across Italy and let him choose his favourites.”
The pulling of the wine comes after Phillip and his ITV co-host Holly Willoughby, 41, were slated for allegedly “jumping” the queue to see Queen Elizabeth’s coffin lying in state – though their bosses said they were there for work.

Sam Heughan ‘wasn’t ready’ for James Bond role

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Heughan believes he “wasn’t ready” to play James Bond when he was rejected for the part.
The ‘Outlander’ actor auditioned for the coveted role of the suave spy ahead of 2006 movie ‘Casino Royale’, Daniel Craig’s first film as 007, but the 42-year-old star still wonders what his life would’ve been like if he had won the part.
He said: “It was quite an experience. It was a stage in my life where I probably wasn’t ready for it, but I wonder what would have happened if I had got it.”
Craig has since departed the role, after making his final appearance as the iconic spy in 25th Bond movie ‘No Time To Die’, and Heughan would love to be considered again.
He said: “Look, every British actor certainly has been talked about for the role. I would love to see a Scottish Bond. Maybe I’m too old now.
“I know that they’ve been talking about making him younger. I feel like that’s where they’re gonna go, but who knows what’s in their mind.”
However, the star believes he may have had his “taste of that world” in 2021 action thriller ‘SAS: Red Notice’, in which he portrayed SAS operator Tom Buckingham.
He told Entertainment Weekly: “But he’s a great character. He’s a dark character. ‘SAS: Red Notice’ that I did was very much my homage to the Bond world. We worked very closely with Andy McNab, who is a highly decorated British Special Forces operator.
“It’s all based on him, the character, so in a way, it’s a more interesting role than Bond. That was an incredible experience to study him and to learn about his experiences. So, I feel like maybe I’ve had my taste of that world.”
In March 2021, Heughan admitted he would be “delighted” if he was asked to try out for the role again.
He said: “I don’t think any actor would ever say no. If I was asked to audition for it, I would be delighted.”

Park Chan-wook brands prospect of streaming killing cinemas ‘heartbreaking’

OHMYGOSSIP — Park Chan-wook says streamers killing off cinemas would be “heartbreaking”.
The ‘Old Boy’ director, 59, added if he was handed a huge amount of funding by the likes of Netflix he would make a version of Émile Zola’s 19th Century-set book ‘La Bête Humaine’.
He told NME when asked if he thought cinemas had as bright a future as the small screen: “It’s so complicated, and things are changing by the minute. Some festivals are still excluding streaming films, and I obviously understand the concerns.
“But what complicates things is films like ‘The Irishman’ and ‘Roma’, which I adore, and which were only able to come out with the quality and budget available thanks to streaming platforms.
“It’ll be a such a heartbreaking loss if we cannot watch great films like that in theatres, but if you force me to choose, I choose to live in a world where I can still see The Irishman and Roma, by any means.”
Park, whose new detective drama film ‘Decision to Leave’ has already won him Best Director at Cannes, added when asked what he would do with a huge Netflix budget: “Do you know (French author) Émile Zola‘s book, ‘La Bête Humaine’? This didn’t really cross my mind until now, and I can’t really imagine ever having that much money in my hand, but I would absolutely love to film an adaption of that book.
“It’s set against the backdrop of the Paris railway in the 19th century, so it would cost a lot. Actually, I don’t even know if I’d need that much money… there’s another project about the citizens of Leningrad surviving the Nazi siege during the Second World War too.
“I’d love to make a survival drama about that, using the music of Shostakovich. That would probably be pretty expensive – I hope it happens!”

The star later admitted there was “zero acting required” in some of his exit scenes.
He wrote on Instagram: “Ive had a blast. I will miss so many things about working @bbceastenders but its the people that made it. Tell you the truth there were scenes tonight where there was zero acting required. Its hard to say goodbye… (sic)”

The former ‘A Place In The Sun’ presenter is the latest name to be unveiled as a contestant on the Ant and Dec-fronted ITV reality show – which is returning to Australia after two years filming in North Wales’ Gwrych Castle, due to COVID-19 travel restrictions – after Boy George, Mike Tindall and Olivia Attwood were all rumoured to be appearing in the jungle this year.

This Morning fans furious as show taken off air

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘This Morning’ fans have been left furious after the show was taken off air on Tuesday (25.10.22).
The ITV brunchtime programme is not on today due to an ITV special about Rishi Sunak taking over as the new Prime Minister, but some die-hard viewers of the show have hit out at the “ridiculous” decision to replace ‘This Morning’.
A tweet on the show’s official Twitter account read: “#ThisMorning will be off-air today due to ITV’s news coverage of the new Prime Minister, but we’ll be back tomorrow from 10am!”
One fan replied: “That’s ridiculous!”
Another wrote: “This Morning is more important, more interesting, more enjoyable, more entertaining, more fun than Downing Street and the Government and This Morning should not have been cancelled ROLL ON TO WEDNESDAY THIS MORNING SHOW (sic)”
Some fans questioned why ITV couldn’t make use of other channels when shifting schedules, with one supporter even questioning why ‘This Morning’ wasn’t moved to ITV2 for the morning.
One posted: “Why couldn’t they move the show to itv2 and still have it on? (sic)”
Another shared: “How many Channels do @ITV have why is it always itv 1 who’s programs are pulled ridiculous (sic)”
Several fans were also disappointed to hear the news because ‘Outlander’ actor Sam Heughan was due to be on the programme on Tuesday.
But one viewer was just relieved not to be missing their fix of Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, who host the show on Fridays.
They posted: “At least its not on Alison and Dermot’s day”
It comes as regular ‘This Morning’ hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby had only been back from their half-term break for one day this week. Dermot and Alison stood in for the pair last week.

Tobin Bell to return as Jigsaw in Saw X

OHMYGOSSIP — Tobin Bell is to return as Jigsaw in the next ‘Saw’ film.
The 80-year-old actor is coming back to the horror franchise as antagonist John Kramer/Jigsaw in ‘Saw X’, which is due to be released in October 2023.
Tobin’s return to the horror franchise fulfils the aims of Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures to make a movie that captures everything that ‘Saw’ fans have enjoyed about previous films while also keeping them guessing with a new mystery to solve.
Franchise veteran Kevin Greutert – who directed ‘Saw VI’ and ‘Saw: The Final Chapter’ – is behind the camera for the latest movie.
Jigsaw is the villain at the heart of the ‘Saw’ films. The former civil engineer is dying of colon cancer and subsequently decides to test others’ will to live with a series of deadly games.
The character appeared in the first three ‘Saw’ movies before being killed off and has featured via flashbacks in most of the movies that have followed.
Producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules said: “What a thrill to be reuniting with Tobin.
“His performance as John Kramer is part of the magic that made this franchise a phenomenon and his character is an active part of this film.”
Tobin previously revealed that he approaches every acting role in the same way.
He said: “I approach every role that I play, whether he’s as you call it a villainous character or this one, the same way.
“You want to know who am I? Aware of what do I want, when do I want it, how am I going to get it?
“I ask a lot of questions and I start answering those questions, and then those open up more questions. You never have answered all the questions by the time the camera rolls, but hopefully, you’ve answered enough of them so that you can play the character without going completely insane and feeling like a fake actor.”

Emilia Jones to lead Winner cast

OHMYGOSSIP — Emilia Jones is to lead the cast of the biopic ‘Winner’.
The ‘CODA’ actress is attached to star in Susanna Fogel’s darkly comic movie which has started principal photography.
Emilia, 20, will star as Reality Winner – a former US Air Force member who was sentenced to five and a half years in prison for exposing Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election.
The story centres on Winner, a young misfit from Texas who finds her morals challenged while serving in the Air Force and working as an NSA contractor.
The movie is to offer a fresh take on the traditional whistleblower thriller and the coming-of-age story follows an idealistic young woman punished for standing by her principles.
Connie Britton has been cast as Reality’s mother while Zach Galifianakis will play her father. Danny Ramirez and Kathryn Newton have also been cast.
The script has been written by Kerry Howley and is based on her 2017 feature story for New York Magazine.
Fogel said: “As a filmmaker, I strive to tell stories that interrogate the world we live in and the systems that are broken in it. But in a fun way. Reality Winner is the perfect heroine for a film that meditates on ideas of personal power, morality and finding your voice.
“She’s a true individual: she speaks many languages, she loves her guns, she could destroy you on Twitter, and her obsession with Pikachu is unmatched. Clearly, she’s the perfect mouthpiece for a generation of people who are unique and fed up with feeling powerless.”
The director added: “And there is no one more perfect to play her than Emilia Jones, one of the most exciting young actresses working today.
“I hope Reality’s story will inspire others to speak up and defend their beliefs, whatever the cost. I’m thrilled to partner with this team of artists and activists to bring this movie to life.”

The 42-year-old actor has joined the cast of the action thriller that will be directed by Brad Anderson.
The crime drama will be set in Boston and will see Kinnaman star as a police detective who suffers a workplace accident that leaves him with impaired hearing.

Stuart Ford’s ACG Studios are to finance and produce the film with Eric Paquette’s Meridan Pictures. The screenplay has been written by Dan Hall.
‘The Silent Hour’ is set to begin production in early 2023 but there has been no information on additional cast members yet.
Joel starred in the superhero blockbuster ‘The Suicide Squad’ as Rick Flag but revealed that he was nearly written out of the movie as filming for his Apple TV+ series ‘For All Mankind’ was taking place at the same time.
He explained: “My manager, Shelley Browning, and my agents, Boomer Malkin and Andrew Finkelstein, definitely won the agent Oscar for this because it was a really, really tricky scheduling situation.
“And I also have to thank [‘For All Mankind’ creator] Ron Moore so much and everyone at Apple for helping out. Warner Bros. was in first position, but they couldn’t budge because it was such a big cast. So it was a really tricky scheduling thing, and it took them several months to figure it out.
“There were actually people at Warner Bros. that told James Gunn, ‘We might have to rewrite this because the scheduling is not going to work out.’
“So I was definitely on edge, but then they figured it out.”

Stephen Graham mistaken for Big Brother winner Craig Phillips

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephen Graham was once mistaken for ‘Big Brother’ winner Craig Phillips.
The former ‘Peaky Blinders’ star has told how he was part of a case of mistaken identity when a supporting artist on the set of his true crime drama ‘The Walk-In’ thought he was the first winner of the Channel 4 reality show Craig, who won the reality show’s debut season in 2000.
In an upcoming appearance on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ on Friday night (22.10.22), the 49-year-old actor says: “One of the supporting artists thought I was someone else and said, ‘You are doing really well for yourself.’ And I thought she was being really kind. But then she said, ‘I never thought it would happen to you after ‘Big Brother’ – she thought I was Craig!”
Stephen – who is married to actress Hannah Walters, with whom he has son Alfie and daughter Grace – also gushed about the success of his 2021 hit ‘Boiling Point’, a drama about the gruelling realities of working in a busy professional kitchen.
He says: “We made a tiny little film and never dreamed of the success it had – it was phenomenal.”

He says: “It’s very close to my heart – it’s a very poignant and powerful drama that’s really relevant to what is happening today. It is a wonderful piece and what I really like is being part of something that puts a mirror up to society.
“I was a bit nervous at first about people’s reaction to it, but the way it has been received is phenomenal.”
