Strictly’s Tony Adams to scare Arsenal fans with red devil costume in Halloween Week

OHMYGOSSIP — Tony Adams will give Arsenal fans a scare this weekend when he wears a red devil costume – the mascot of the club’s rivals Manchester United.
The former England footballer, 56, is expected to dress up as the spooky character for Halloween Week on Saturday (29.10.22), according to the Daily Mirror newspaper.
Tony and his professional partner Katya Jones will dance to ‘The Devil Went Down to Georgia’ by The Charlie Daniels Band this weekend.
While Gunners fans might be spooked to see their former skipper dressed as a devil, Tony himself is no stranger to being scared – by bats at his country home in Gloucestershire, south west England.
He said: “We get bats quite a lot in the house.
“We live in the country, sometimes they come in the house and I find that scary.”
Tony has been the surprise package of the current ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ series after making it to week six, despite being one of the early favourites to be voted off the series.
The retired footballer is 26 years sober after his battle with alcohol addiction, but admitted it was a “miracle” he didn’t hit the pub after his first turn on ‘Strictly’, when he and Katya scored 15 out of 40 for their Tango.
He said: “When that first dance went the way it did, in the car home, I’m going, ‘This is tough, what am I doing?’
“It’s a miracle I didn’t run to the pub and drown all that sorrow. It was painful. I’ve cried a lot, but it was all right. You come out the other side.
“So I’ve grown emotionally through the experience because it’s a challenge.
“Katya has been perfect for me, to push all my buttons and show me how strong I am.”

Owen Warner looking for love on I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Owen Warner is looking for love on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ – but will miss football and his family the most.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ star has landed in Australia ahead of the ITV show, which will begin on November 6th, and admitted that he is “always looking for romance”, but that is not the reason he is taking part in the programme.
He said: “My mum is the one who is going to be the one missing me. I am single and ready for the jungle. I am always looking for romance but I am not going in especially for that.
“I will miss football and family most.”
Owen admitted he is scared of snakes and spiders, so he isn’t quite sure why he has agreed to be part of the programme.
He said: “I’m scared of all sorts of things to be fair. Snakes aren’t a bit of me, I don’t know why I have come to Australia! Snakes and spiders everywhere here.”
But the actor insists he won’t be fazed by camping with his fellow celebrities.
He added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I don’t mind a bit of camping. When the weather is nice camping is great but when it is raining and cold it is not so cold.”
It comes after former ‘Love Island’ star Olivia Attwood, Radio DJ Chris Moyles and ‘Coronation Street’ star Sue Cleaver landed in Australia this week ahead of the show.
Olivia admitted she will miss having sex the most during her time on ‘I’m A Celebrity’.
She said: “I mean, four weeks and no sh****** – what can you do?
“It’s day one, so not much at the minute!
“But in three or four days the dogs and my fiance, probably.”

Rihanna ‘first choice’ for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna was Ryan Coogler’s first choice for the ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ soundtrack.
The ‘Wild Thoughts’ hitmaker has just confirmed her first song from the soundtrack ‘Lift Me Up’ will arrive on Friday (28.10.22), and the movie’s director says the new mother was the perfect fit because motherhood is a big theme in the Marvel flick.
Ryan explained how they were “looking for artists who would embody it thematically.”
He added to The Hollywood Reporter: “Rihanna, man, we knew she was at a point in her life as well where she was focusing on different things — focused on business, motherhood, which is a big theme in our film. We were holding out hope that maybe it could work out and boy did it for this song.
“I can’t wait for people to hear it.”
The 34-year-old singer gave birth to her first child, a baby boy, with A$AP Rocky in May.
The song is also “a tribute to the extraordinary life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman.”
The beloved late actor starred as the titular character, whose real name is T’Challa, in the original 2018 blockbuster.
He was not recast in ‘Wakanda Forever’, however, co-writer and helmer Ryan made sure to keep Chadwick’s family and creative contacts in the loop on the re-write.
Ryan added: “Chadwick had people who were in his life creatively, as well as family, and we were in close contact with those people, very close specifically with his wife, Simone, and his creative partner Logan Coles.
“We were staying tapped in with them as much as we could, and it gave us the space to create, but obviously we were seeking out their opinion all the time. We’re looking forward to sharing it with everybody.”
The film hits cinemas on November 11.

Kevin Feige to be ‘first in line’ to see James Gunn’s DC work

OHMYGOSSIP — Marvel boss Kevin Feige will be the “first in line” to see anything James Gunn does after he landed a top job at DC.
The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ director and ‘The Suicide Squad’ producer Peter Safran have been appointed as co-chairmen and CEOs of newly-formed Warner Bros. division DC Studios, which is replacing DC Films, meaning they will now be in charge of DC’s film, TV and animation efforts.
Feige joked that Gunn knows he has lots to do for Marvel before taking the reins at DC, but he is looking forward to seeing what he produces.
He told Deadline: “Well, he has got a lot of work to do for Marvel between now and May, which he’s well aware of.
“But after that, I’ll be first in line to see anything he does.”
Gunn had previously helmed the first two instalments of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) series ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and was on board to direct the third film before he was axed by Disney following the emergence of old offensive Twitter posts in which he joked about paedophilia, homophobia and rape.
But after fans and fellow stars rallied in support of Gunn, he apologised and wrote ‘The Suicide Squad’ for DC.
He was later reinstated as the director for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’, which is due to drop in May 2023.
In August, Gunn admitted the first ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ movie “forevermore changed” his life.
He wrote on Twitter: “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 opened exactly 8 years ago today (and my life changed forevermore).”

EastEnders co-stars Shona McGarty and Max Bowden decide not to ‘pursue anything romantic’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ co-stars Shona McGarty and Max Bowden have decided not to “pursue anything romantic”.
The pair, who play Whitney Dean and Ben Mitchell in the BBC One soap, had been romantically linked, and while they were “never in an official relationship”, they are still close pals.
A friend close to the couple told The Sun newspaper: “Max and Shona have never spoken on it publicly but as their close circle would know, they were never in an official relationship and remain close friends who decided not to pursue anything romantic a number of months ago.”
Max became a father for the first time in September after his ex-girlfriend Roisin Buckle gave birth to a baby boy, Reginald.
The star wrote on Instagram: “Reginald Buckle welcome to the world son. Born on the 19th September 2022. Greatest feeling in the world and a love like I’ve never felt. Will never get over the feeling of my son looking me in the eye for the first time.”
Max also praised Roisin for being “such a strong first time mum” following the arrival of their baby boy earlier this month.
He added: “Well done to Roisin on being such a strong first time Mum and taking to motherhood like a champ. @one_mum_and_a_baby
“Heart is very full of love and gratitude, and can’t wait to love this little man for eternity! (sic)”
Max shared a picture of himself embracing his little boy in hospital.
Roisin also took to Instagram to share a picture of herself and Reginald and admitted she has “never felt love like this”.
She wrote: “Reginald Buckle born on the 19th September 2022.
I haven’t been able to post until now as aside from having my hands full I’ve been in a complete bubble of love, bonding with my son and spending time getting to know each other.
I know it’s cliche but I have never felt love like this I cannot even begin to explain.”
The former couple split in March, but admitted they would co-parent when their little one was born.

“We are thrilled to bring together exemplary lead actors in Morfydd and Jai, who will bring reality, nuance and charisma to these roles.”
Bishop added: “Dario is a trailblazing visionary and the perfect helmer for this striking fable filled with gallows humour, which explores desire, deceit and what truly goes on behind the facade of normality.”

Naomi – who is also a dancer – posted the same photo and revealed their baby is due in the spring.

The ‘Greatest Dancer’ presenter married Naomi just two months ago at Ashridge House in Berkhamsted, a former royal residence of King Henry VIII, after the couple got engaged in the Maldives.
He admitted that while getting married could be seen as “an old-fashioned tradition”, it was “the best day”.
Jordan said: “It can feel like an old-fashioned tradition. For me, it’s brought everything full circle.
“If you go back 20 or 30 years, the fact that I’ve got two kids before I was married, some people would have been like [gasps.] It would have been a bit of a controversial subject.
“Everyone does it for different reasons, whether it’s a religious point of view, a moral point of view. For me, I just wanted to show commitment to my lovely wife, my family, my children.”

Henry Cavill promises ‘enormously joyful’ Superman return

OHMYGOSSIP — Henry Cavill has promised an “enormously joyful” future for Superman.
The 39-year-old actor has confirmed that he is returning as the legendary superhero in a new movie after making a brief cameo in the blockbuster ‘Black Adam’ and can’t wait to don the cape again.
Speaking during a live recording of the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast in New York City, Henry said: “The character means so much to me. It’s been five years now. I never gave up hope.
“It’s amazing to be here now talking about it again. There is such a bright future ahead for the character. I’m so excited to tell a story with an enormously joyful Superman.”
Henry explained that he got the call to shoot his cameo in ‘Black Adam’ while he was filming for the TV series ‘The Witcher’ and he had to ask for permission to take a break from the project while keeping his Superman return a secret.
He recalled: “I went to Warner Bros.’ studio in the UK and got back in the suit.
“It was a very powerful moment for me. I wasn’t sure how I would feel… whether it would be something very emotionally connective because I put the ‘Man of Steel’ suit back on.
“I chose that one in particular because of the nostalgia attached to the suit. It was important for me to be standing there and enjoying the moment. That is one of the top moments in my career. It feels great to have the opportunity to wear it again.”
Cavill did remain tight-lipped when it came to details about potential writers and directors involved in the new Superman project.
He responded: “You know I can’t tell you that.”

Maura Higgins had ‘very bad experience’ from toxic shock syndrome

OHMYGOSSIP — Maura Higgins nearly died when she suffered toxic shock syndrome (TSS).
The former ‘Love Island’ star had a “very bad experience” when a tampon got stuck inside her for three months, leading to TSS, a rare but life-threatening condition caused by bacteria getting into the body and releasing harmful toxins.
She said: “I did have a very bad experience. I’m not a doctor, I don’t know much about that [TSS], but I know you are not meant to leave a tampon inside for more than, I think it’s nine hours, I think that’s the max.
“There was a tampon inside me for three months. When the doctor found it, it was stuck to my cervix. And I was so ill.
“I did not know what was going on.”
Maura has spoken out to raise aware of the dangers of TSS.
She said: “There were people that have died from that happening.
“Young girls might not have noticed, like you go on a night out, what if you got really drunk and forgot, like, these things actually do happen, and people don’t speak about it.
“I remember even being in school, I used to get my tampon out the bag, push it up my sleeve and then go to the toilet like that … thinking back, why was I doing that? It’s nothing to be ashamed about, that’s why I think it’s an important topic isn’t it?”
The 31-year-old star also believes more women need to teach themselves how to orgasm rather than rely on a man being “good”.
Speaking on Thursday’s (27.10.22) ‘Shopping with Keith Lemon’, she adds: “Most girls I know have never had an orgasm.
“But do you know what it is? I don’t think people understand, you actually have to teach yourself how to orgasm, it’s not about how good the man is or whatever, it’s about you as a woman.
“Us women don’t understand, how lucky we are, the woman that can, do you know what I mean?”
‘Shopping with Keith Lemon’ concludes Thursday on ITV2 at 10pm.

Love Island’s Andrew Le Page surprised girlfriend Tasha Ghouri with new tattoo

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ star Andrew Le Page surprised his girlfriend Tasha Ghouri with a tattoo celebrating her “superpower”.
The 27-year-old real estate agent had an image of the 24-year-old model’s cochlear implant – a small, electronic device that helps provide a sense of sound to Tasha, who was born deaf – intertwined with the British Sign Language sign for “I love you” inked onto his body.
Tasha shared a snap of Andrew’s tattoo, and wrote on Twitter: “So Andrew came home and surprised me with his new tattoo, I actually can’t even!!!!!!! How beautiful.
“It’s “ily” in BSL with my cochlear implant wrapped around (sic)”
Andrew recently admitted he wants to learn sign language.
In a YouTube video, he said: “It’s definitely something I definitely wanna learn. I know it means a lot to Tash and it would be a pretty cool skill to have.”
Tasha admitted she was a “sign language fluent until I was five” and was “slowly getting back into it” and thought it was something they could do together.
She said: “I think we are going to go to a BSL course together.”
Andrew and Tasha also marked their love for one another in August by getting matching rose tattoos.
He previously said: “When we were in the villa we were talking about what we’d want not our final date, but what we’d like a date in.
“Tasha actually said, ‘I would love a hotel room where you come in and there’s loads and loads of roses,’ and this was before our date.
“Obviously our date happened and we had literally thousands of roses and it was kind of like a sign, we were literally talking about this.”

Jay Blades defends breaking royal protocol with King Charles on The Repair Shop

OHMYGOSSIP — Jay Blades has defended breaking royal protocol with King Charles on ‘The Repair Shop’.
The star believes if the 73-year-old monarch felt a regal boundary was being crossed “he would have said” when they filmed a special edition of the BBC One restoration programme, which aired on Wednesday night (26.10.22).
While appearing on ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’, the 52-year-old TV presenter said: “I was touching him and he was returning the touch as well, so the royal protocol is by the person who is a royal. If he didn’t want me to touch him he would have said or someone would have told me, and he would have done that.”
Jay – who appeared alongside the then-Prince of Wales before his mother Queen Elizabeth passed away in September – felt he “bonded” with the king due to their shared love of “heritage craft”.
He said: “But I think the way that we have this mutual interest in heritage craft, that’s what bonded us together.”
Speaking about some viewers describing him and Charles as “the new Ant and Dec”, he said: “The new Ant and Dec? Ant and Dec are really good. Bromance? I think it’s just that we’ve got a shared interest and heritage craft, so we just get on. I get on with everybody I believe.”
Prior to the broadcast, Jay felt their collaboration and how they got on so well – due to their very different backgrounds – was “unbelievable”.
He said: “You’ve got someone from a council estate and someone from a royal estate that have the same interests about apprenticeships and heritage crafts, and it is unbelievable to see that two people from so far apart, from different ends of the spectrum, actually have the same interests.”

Chris Tarrant thinks TV reboots are ‘desperate’

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Tarrant thinks TV reboots are “desperate”.
The former ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ host has hit out at the revival of classic TV formats, like ‘Family Fortunes’, and wishes audiences would be treated to “something new”.
The 76-year-old broadcaster told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “It’s desperate. TV executives ought to come up with something new instead of repeating the same old shows.
“I can’t believe we still run things like ‘Family Fortunes’.
“And then they come up with new ones like ‘The Masked Singer’, for God’s sake. What’s next, ‘The Masked Cook’? ‘The Masked Knife Juggler’? Can we make some new ones, please?”
Chris wasn’t keen for the Ukrainian refugee family he recently welcomed into his home to watch ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ – which he hosted from 1998 to 2014 and is now fronted by Jeremy Clarkson – but it’s repeated too often to be avoided.
He said: “I didn’t want them to, but suddenly this strange man in their house pops up on telly!
“They’ve watched repeats of ‘Millionaire’. There’s four of those on a night, you know.”
Earlier this week, Chris claimed the mother, daughter and baby he opened his home up to, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, have “enhanced his life”.
He said: “They have enhanced my life, these people. I mean I know I’ve had my own kids but this baby is so sweet.
“She was seven months, now if she had stayed she’d be on the front of a tank or something. I mean the idea of what happened and how they got away is just extraordinary.”

Harris Dickinson open to playing James Bond

OHMYGOSSIP — Harris Dickinson would be up for playing James Bond.
The ‘Triangle of Sadness’ actor has been tipped as a potential replacement for Daniel Craig as 007 and revealed that he is open to playing the famous spy on the big screen.
Harris told the i newspaper: “One of my friends called me the other day and was like: ‘Mate, are you Bond?’ I’m always ready.
“I would welcome the opportunity. I think it can be a wonderful role and I love what Daniel Craig did with it.”
Harris has starred in major movies such as ‘See How They Run’ and ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ this year and explained the differences between working on a blockbuster compared to smaller projects.
The 26-year-old actor said: “When I’m embarking on bigger (blockbuster) films, I used to think there was a way to make those films just as intimately.
“But there isn’t. You have to be prepared for something much larger and much less personal.”
‘Triangle of Sadness’ is the latest comedic film that Harris has featured in and the star feels at home in the genre.
He said: “I find comedy natural. I’m not saying I’m funny – I’m saying I’m silly.
“I started in comedy when I was a kid, doing impressions for family members. Comedy was the way to engage people.”
Ruben Ostlund’s movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year and Dickinson found it surreal to be on the red carpet.
He explained: “I have this thing with red carpet premieres, where I go into shock.
“I seem very calm, but I’m not. I think my way of coping is like: ‘None of this is real, or this is just a simulation, what I’m going through right now’. Otherwise, I feel like I would be out of control.”

Universal boss Donna Langley hopes to make female Fast and Furious spin-off

OHMYGOSSIP — Universal Pictures chief Donna Langley hopes to make a female-led ‘Fast and Furious’ spin-off.
The high-speed franchise is due to come an end after a two-part finale that begins with the upcoming ‘Fast X’ but Langley is keen to make a separate project that focuses on the female characters.
In an interview with Business Insider, Donna said: “I would love to see a female ‘Fast’.
“So would Vin (Diesel). We have so many great and amazing female characters in our franchise and now there’s the new addition of Brie Larson to add to this incredible roster. I would love to see us do a female ‘Fast’.”
‘Fast and Furious’ cast members have previously backed a female spin-off with stars such as Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Nathalie Emmanuel and Dame Helen Mirren all featuring in the long-running series.
Jordana – who first appeared as Mia Toretto in the original 2001 film – said: “That would be awesome. I’ve heard these rumours. I think that would be incredible. Think about all the people we could bring back, right? We could bring back Eva Mendes, who’d be incredible to work with.”
The 42-year-old star added: “It would be really, really cool. So, I can’t speak to the discussions, but I think it would be awesome. So, fingers crossed.”
Nathalie revealed earlier this year that she was “demanding” for a female spin-off to be made.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress said: “I want a girl spin-off.
“We find a way to bring everybody back, and we make a badass girl ‘Fast’ movie. I’m so here for that. That’s the ‘Fast’ spin-off that I want, that I demand!”

The ‘Conversations With Friends’ star, 31, will star alongside Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley and Hong Chau in the new flick, which will be helmed by Yorgos Lanthimos, who also directed both Emma and Joe in 2018’s ‘The Favourite’.

He is a brilliant actor and a welcome addition to the all-star cast Yorgos has put together here.”

The plot is being shrouded in secrecy but brings together the same production houses that made both the Queen Anne movie that gave Olivia Coleman her first Oscar and ‘Poor Things’, which is still in post-production.
Recently Emma called working with Yorgos “a great gift” after working with him again on the short movie ‘Bleat’.
The 33-year-old actress said: “I don’t know if it’s the hardest project I’ve ever done, but it was definitely a challenge. I could talk for hours about the things I like in working with Yorgos.”
The ‘Catherine Called Birdy’ star recently provided his musical talents for his long-time girlfriend Taylor Swift’s recording-smashng 10th studio album ‘Midnights’ under his pen name ‘William Bowery’ on the songs ‘Sweet Nothing’ after working with the 33-year-old pop star on 2020’s ‘Folklore’.
The LP – which also features credits from Zoe Kravitz and Jack Antonoff – has been breaking all sorts of records across streaming and physical purchases, such as selling more than a million copies in three days.

Jamie Lee Curtis to receive Maltin Modern Master Award

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Lee Curtis is to receive the Maltin Modern Master Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival next year.
The 63-year-old actress will be presented with the film festival’s highest honour on February 11, 2023, at Santa Barbara’s Arlington Theatre following an in-depth interview about her career, conducted by the accolade’s namesake, historian and film critic Leonard Maltin.
He said in a statement: “Jamie Lee Curtis has long proven that she has staying power.
“People want to watch her, whether it’s in a Halloween movie or an offbeat character role. She’s talented and charismatic, and in the process does her movie-star parents proud.”
Curtis – whose parents are legendary late actors Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis – is best known for starring in slasher film franchise ‘Halloween’, as well as 1983 movie ‘Trading Places’, 1988’s ‘A Fish Called Wanda’, and 1994’s ‘True Lies’, as well as appearing in ‘Knives Out’ alongside Daniel Craig in 2019.
The Modern Master Award prize was first established in 1995 and renamed the Maltin Modern Master Award in 2015.
Clint Eastwood, Denzel Washington, Glenn Close, Brad Pitt, Christopher Plummer, Nicole Kidman, George Clooney, Ben Affleck, and Michael Keaton are among other previous winners of the prize.
Curtis said farewell to her iconic ‘Halloween’ character Laurie Strode after 44 years in the latest movie, ‘Halloween Ends’, and she admitted the part is her “legacy”.
She said: “The universal understanding of Laurie Strode is that as this original ‘final girl’ she never gave up, always pushing through no matter what.
“It is beyond comprehension that that is my legacy. I feel like I haven’t given up, that I have continued to try, but not at the level of Laurie Strode.
“What I’ve gotten from her is way more than she’s gotten from me. Because when I’m gone, her legacy will be mine.
“Now, of course, I have my children, and that’s crucial. But in the films, she is my legacy, and I could not be prouder of any legacy – unless it’s like Mother Teresa or, you know, a great great Nelson Mandela or somebody like that – but in a film character, there’s not one you could name that I would rather be than Laurie Strode.”
