Simon Gregson’s kids are ‘mortified’ by his foray into drag

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Gregson’s kids are “mortified” about his foray into drag.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star, 48, is set to appear in the upcoming drag special ‘Queens for the Night’ on ITV and admitted his three sons Alfie, 15, Harry, 13, and Henry, six – who he has with wife Emma Gleave – are not impressed by his female counterpart Bidet Bardot.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “They’re mortified! They’re young boys in a very big school and they’re probably going to get grief. We’ll watch it as a family and have fun, but then they’ll feign disgust as soon as they get to the school gates.”
The former ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here’ contestant – who has played taxi driver Steve McDonald on the ITV soap opera for over 30 years – went on to joke that he is a “really ugly woman” and thinks he looks like an evil creation straight from the mind of George Lucas.
He said: “I’m a really ugly woman! I look like a Star Wars baddie. And the rigmarole I had to go through to get there was a huge process and not comfortable.”
Before he embraced his feminine side, Simon quipped that drag would probably suit his “larger than life” personality.
He said: I think I’ll be a larger-than-life drag queen, very loud. I think that fits in with me quite well.”
Simon – who will join fellow contestants such as ‘Love Island’ star Chris Hughes, ex ‘EastEnders’ star Adam Woodyatt and Mr Motivator – called it “very, very nerve-wracking” to be judged by Spice Girl Melanie C, Rob Beckett, Courtney Act and ex ‘Everyone’s Talking About Jamie’ star Layton Williams on the Lorraine Kelly-fronted show.
He said: “It’s very, very nerve-wracking. First time on stage, the first time I’m going to be doing what I’m going to be doing. The nerves are riding high. It’s a new territory for me, so we will see how I get on.”
The one-off special – which will include expert teachers in the shape of drag performers Blu Hydrangea, Kitty Scott-Claus, La Voix, Myra DuBois, Asttina Mandella, and Margo Marshall – will take audiences on the entire journey from trying on stilettos to their cabaret performance.
‘Queens For the Night’ will air on ITV on Saturday 5 November.

Loose Women’s Linda Robson once glued her breasts to the bonnet of her car

OHMYGOSSIP — Linda Robson once glued her breasts to the bonnet of her car.
The ‘Loose Women’ star – who is mother to Lauren, 39, with former partner Tony Tyler but also has Louis, 30, and Roberta, 26, with husband Mark Dunford – revealed that she was driving her Mercedes when the wing mirror fell off and accidentally glued herself to the front of her vehicle when attempting to stick it back on.
She said: “My daughter held on to it until we got home then I raced round to the local corner shop to buy some super glue. Then I super glued the wing mirror back on and leant on it with my breasts and then my breasts got stuck to the wing mirror.”
The ‘Birds of a Feather’ actress went on to insist she was “not making it up” and explained that she had to free herself by cutting herself out of the t-shirt she was wearing.
She told The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column: “I swear to God, I’m not making it up. Then I shouted to the kids, ‘get me some scissors.’ I was leaning over and the T-shirt I was wearing was totally stuck to them, so we had to cut the T-shirt off to free me!”
Meanwhile, the former ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here’ contestant is set to make her return to acting in the sequel to 2011 comedy ‘Anuvahood’ and enjoyed getting to swear a lot in the upcoming movie.
She said: “I had a role as a mum in ‘Anuvahood’ and all these years on they asked me to be in this film. It’s great. And it is nice to get back to acting. I get to swear a lot in it. Basically, there is a robbery in a bank and I’m one of the customers. I stand there and say, ‘For f*** sake!’ How much longer is this going to take? I’ve got the f****** 48 bus to catch!’ This film was a great role for me because I quite like swearing!”
‘Sumotherhood’ is set for release later this year.
It is directed by Adam Deacon and also stars ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ actress Jennifer Saunders as well as pop megastar Ed Sheeran.

Emilia Clarke to star in An Ideal Wife

OHMYGOSSIP — Emilia Clarke is to star in ‘An Ideal Wife’.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress will portray the Irish author Constance Lloyd, who was married to Oscar Wilde, in the new movie that is being directed by ‘Good Luck to You, Leo Grande’ helmer Sophie Hyde.
The project will be presented at this week’s American Film Market, which is set to begin on Tuesday (01.11.22).
‘An Ideal Wife’ will tell the story of Lloyd – an author and feminist activist who took part in the dress reform movement which campaigned to allow women to dress in comfortable clothing rather than the stifling outfits of the era.
Lloyd married Wilde in 1884 and the pair had two sons. However, she moved to Switzerland with the children after the writer received a two-year prison sentence for homosexuality.
‘An Ideal Wife’ is being produced by Olivier Delbosc at Curiosa Films, Chris Curling at Zephyr Films and Matthew Gledhill at Wheelhouse Productions.
Meanwhile, Emilia is set to star in a new biopic about the US politician Joseph McCarthy along with Michael Shannon, Dane DeHaan and Scoot McNairy.
Shannon has been cast in the lead role for the movie, which will chart the rise and fall of the notorious and powerful senator and his enablers, a group that features his politically ambitious wife Jean Kerr (Clarke), the ruthless young lawyer Roy Cohn (DeHaan) and his trusted friend Ray Kiermas (McNairy).
The movie – directed by Vaclav Marhoult – will tell the story of how McCarthy rose to prominence in US politics during the 1940s and 1950s on a wave of anti-communist hysteria.
Tom O’Connor has written the original screenplay for the film and will produce with Zach Studin. Rick McCallum, who has worked on several of the ‘Star Wars’ movies, is executive producing.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! faces bug ‘concerns’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ is expected to feature even more bugs.
The hotly anticipated ITV reality show will need to give its star-studded lineup- which is rumoured to include Boy George, radio DJ Chris Moyles and ex ‘Love Island’ star Olivia Attwood- lots of mosquito spray as the show’s return to the Australian jungle is expected to see a natural increase in bugs, prompting experts to warn about the “public health risks” and the need for protection.
The University of Sydney’s Professor Dieter Hochuli told the Daily Star newspaper: “This big one that is causing a lot of concerns for its upcoming summer is mosquitos.
“Their biology is driven by available water, and higher temperatures mean they will be able to reproduce quickly. The public health risks are significant and it will be an important summer for covering up and wearing repellent.
“This moist environment is really helping insects to deal with one of their greatest threats, which is drying out.”
The previous two series – which were won by author Giovanna Fletcher and ex ‘Emmerdale’ star Danny Miller respectively – were a lot less tropical as due to COVID-19 restrictions filming for the Ant and Dec-fronted show took place in Gwrych Castle in North Wales.
An insider commented that this series – which is set to start on Sunday (06.11.2022) due to the Qatar World Cup – has scored a “massive coup” with the reported inclusion of former rugby star, who is the husband of the late Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter Zara.
The insider said: “It’s a massive coup. Mike has had a box seat for some of the most important moments in royal history for generations. “He is sure to be discreet, but his sheer presence means this series will be an absolute must-watch.”

Fleur East has ‘no idea’ why she has been in the bottom two twice on Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Fleur East thought she was going to be eliminated from ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ on her birthday.
The former ‘X Factor’ star is currently competing in the BBC Latin and ballroom show alongside professional partner Vito Coppola but was convinced her time was up after the pair were forced into the bottom two again opposite ‘EastEnders’ actor James Bye and Amy Dowden as she celebrated her 35th birthday on Saturday (29.10.22).
She said: “Another Halloween scare for me! I was like surely not, surely the ‘Strictly’ gods are smiling down on me – it’s my birthday! I honestly thought ‘this is it, I’m gone’ because I was in the dance-off again, so I was prepared but I was so very, very thankful to the judges for saving us. I’m having such a good time, I love dancing with Vito and I feel like we’ve got so much more to show, so I’m really happy we’re here for another week.”
The ‘Sax’ hitmaker – who previously defeated Richie Anderson and professional partner Giovanni Pernice in the dance-off in week three of the show – went on to add that she has “no idea” why she has ended up in the bottom two because she “does her best” every week and admitted that it is getting “so tough” now that the competition is at the halfway point.
Speaking on ‘The Hits Radio Breakfast Show with Fleur East’, she added: “‘I have no idea why I’m in the bottom two – it’s out of my hands, out of my control. All I can do is rehearse every week and do my best, have the most fun and that’s what I’m doing. All I hope is that we do enough this week to get through but it is getting so tough. We’re halfway now, halfway through the competition and everyone’s so good and everyone’s working really hard.”

Former Corrie star Sean Wilson made blue cheese for the Queen

OHMYGOSSIP — Ex ‘Coronation Street’ star Sean Wilson became a cheesemaker to the late Queen Elizabeth.
The 57-year-old former actor – who left the ITV soap in 2005 after playing Martin Platt for 21 years – swapped the cobbles for producing award-winning cheese that was loved by the royal family.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre Showbiz column: “What was funny to me was even the royal family pretended they didn’t watch ‘Coronation Street’.
“But fast forward, I’m making my own cheese and I’m down in Windsor farm shop, I’m selling the blue cheese and new customers are coming to taste it.
“I get a tap on the shoulder and a lady says, ‘I shop for the Queen and I’m interested in your blue cheese.’”
The former soap star went on to explain that the Queen – who passed away in September at the age of 96 following a record-breaking 70-year reign – tried some of his blue cheese after it was approved by the assistant.
He added: “She tasted it and said, “Oh, My God, it’s lovely.” We had a good long conversation about it so I gave her a piece. So the Queen had some of my blue cheese.”
Earlier this month, Sean released ‘Cheddar Gorged’, a book with 60 recipes, the history of cheddar cheese and a smattering of poetry.
He said: “Everybody in the UK, unless they are a vegan, will probably have cheddar in their fridge.
“It has become a global cheese, you can get it in New Zealand, you can get it in Alaska.
“They know it can go on toast, it can go on bolognese or on a pizza and a jacket potato but then we struggle which I find amazing.
“All of this is information I have learnt and I can cook so it seemed a no-brainer when I met with the publishers for us to put this book together.”
Sean – who picked up the new career after becoming friendly with the late Bob Kitching and working in restaurants – reflected on his culinary journey from working in telly.
He added: “Sometimes you wonder why you are doing things, I was there in the kitchen thinking, why am I here? Why have I just left the studio at Granada TV and why am I here in this kitchen?
“I wasn’t a chef and knew I didn’t want to be but I wouldn’t have met Bob otherwise.
“Lisa Goodwin-Allen’s introduction of us paved out the next 17 years for me really.”

Kym Marsh says Strictly Come Dancing has made her more ‘interesting’ to her daughter Polly

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh says ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ has made her more “interesting” to her daughter.
The ex ‘Coronation Street’ star admitted her 11-year-old daughter Polly – who she had with her ex Jamie Lomas – used to find her fame “embarrassing” but now she is competing on the BBC One star-studded Latin and ballroom show her impression of her mother’s job has changed for the better.
The 46-year-old actress told Hello! magazine: “Usually I’m quite embarrassing to her. She’s like: ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe everyone knows who my mum is. So embarrassing.’ But now, I’ve become more interesting.”
“I’ve been getting more messages from Polly now, going: ‘Good luck, Mum. I hope you’re doing well.’ I think it’s because all her friends are talking to her about [Strictly] at school.”
Kym – who is now married to Scott Ratcliff but also has son David, 27, and daughter Emilie, 24, with her ex David Cunliffe – labelled her dance partner Graziano di Prima, 28, “like a little brother”.
She said: “He’s very quickly become like a little brother to me. Graziano is from a big family himself and is very family-orientated so it was important for us to build a friendship and I wanted to integrate him into the family.
“He’s fit in really well. Everyone loves him.”
Graziano – who recently tied the knot with his long-time love Giada Lini – also added that the former Hear’Say singer has been made to “feel like part of the family”.
He said: “I feel like part of the family. Every week, there is a day where Kym invites me home with her and the family prepare Italian food and make me feel so welcome.
“At the end of the day, when we’ve finished the rehearsals, I’ll be in my hotel on my own. But Kym knows that, so she invites me back.”

John Carpenter feels no ownership over Halloween franchise

OHMYGOSSIP — John Carpenter doesn’t feel ownership over the ‘Halloween’ franchise.
The 74-year-old filmmaker directed the original 1978 movie in the long-running horror series but is happy to see other directors have control over the iconic slasher villain Michael Myers.
John told Vulture: “The ‘Halloween’ movie I love the most is the one I made back in 1978, the one I directed.
“Others are other people’s visions. That’s the way it goes. That’s what happens when you give up. I didn’t want to direct sequels. I didn’t think there was story left. Boy, was I wrong, huh?”
John has provided the score for David Gordon Green’s latest trilogy in the franchise but admits that he has little thought for the legacy of the series.
When asked about the legacy of ‘Halloween’, he said: “I don’t care. I really don’t care.”
Carpenter explained that he doesn’t spend much time thinking about the quality of the ‘Halloween’ remakes.
He said: “There are two kinds of remakes for me.
“One is where I’m the originator of the material. I wrote the screenplay. Two: It was an assignment from the studio. ‘We want you to do this’.
“If it’s an assignment from the studio, they don’t pay me when they do a remake. They own the material. If I’ve generated the screenplay, they have to pay me. That’s the kind of sequel I like. My movie exists. Make your own. You want to pay me a bunch of bucks, fine. Have a great time.”
John revealed that he has little interest in going back over his previous work as he always finds mistakes that he has made.
He said: “Never. I don’t want to see it.
“When I watch my old movies, I see the mistakes and the things I didn’t do and I start looking like, ‘What am I doing?’ That’s stupid. Why didn’t I do this?’ That’s painful. I don’t want to do that, so I don’t watch.”

Daniel Radcliffe debunks Wolverine rumours again

OHMYGOSSIP — Daniel Radcliffe has debunked claims that he could play Wolverine on the big screen.
The ‘Harry Potter’ actor has been tipped as a potential replacement for Hugh Jackman as the superhero in the ‘X-Men’ franchise but he has dismissed the speculation as a “press tour rumour”.
In an interview with GQ magazine, Daniel said: “It’s purely a press tour rumour; I say something, and occasionally I get bored of answering that way so I say something different, and that sets it off again. I should just never open my mouth.”
Daniel explained that he enjoys the flexibility that comes with starring in smaller projects and is reluctant to join another big franchise after growing up as Harry Potter.
He said: “I just don’t ever want to get locked into something that I am not sure I will be able to love the same amount the whole time.”
Daniel had previously distanced himself from the role of Wolverine earlier this year and confessed that he didn’t expect to be cast as the character.
The 33-year-old star said: “So many times, people come to me like, ‘Hey man, heard the Wolverine news, that’s pretty cool.’ No, I don’t know anything about it.
“Like, I appreciate that somebody is clearly going like ‘Wolverine’s actually short in the comic books, you should get a short guy to do it!’
“But I don’t see myself, I don’t see them going from Hugh Jackman to me. But who knows? Prove me wrong, Marvel.”
The actor once said that he had no desire to play Wolverine as he doesn’t want the ‘X-Men’ films to be remade.
Speaking in 2019, Daniel said: “Most of the films that I love I don’t think I would want to see remade. And I certainly don’t think that I would want to be in the remakes of them.”

Black Panther 3 could depend on Wakanda Forever success

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Black Panther 3’ will depend on the success of ‘Wakanda Forever’.
Producer Nate Moore has opened up on the status of a potential third film in the series over the coming years, and he insisted while there are “certainly ideas” being thrown around, the team don’t want to “count [their] chickens”.
He told Collider: “That’s a great question. To be honest, this is not me trying to not answer the question.
“We really want to see how audiences receive the film, and I think [director Ryan Coogler’s] really interested to see how the film plays before we decide.
“There are certainly ideas we’ve floated around of what a third film could be if we get to make it.
“But until the movie comes out, we’re a bit superstitious in that way. We don’t want to count our chickens, because you never know what’s going to happen.”
Meanwhile, Coogler recently admitted he nearly quit directing following Chadwick Boseman’s death.
The 36-year-old filmmaker has helmed the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) sequel ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ but confessed that he considered walking away from the industry altogether after Boseman – who led the cast of the first film as T’Challa/Black Panther – tragically passed away from colon cancer in 2020.
Ryan explained: “I was at a point when I was like, ‘I’m walking away from this business.’
“I didn’t know if I could make another movie period, (let alone) another ‘Black Panther’ movie, because it hurt a lot. I was like, ‘Man, how could I open myself up to feeling like this again?’ ”
He continued: “I was poring over a lot of our conversations that we had, towards when I realised was the end of his life… I decided that it made more sense to keep going.”

Aaron Eckhart replaces Alec Baldwin in Chief of Station

OHMYGOSSIP — Aaron Eckhart has replaced Alec Baldwin in ‘Chief of Station’.
The 54-year-old star has stepped into the lead role in the upcoming spy action thriller, which will also feature Olga Kurylenko and Alex Pettyfer.
According to Deadline, Baldwin was unable to appear in the movie because of a lengthier shoot than was previously anticipated.
Filming is due to start next month in Budapest.
The motion picture will tell the story of a former CIA station chief, who will now be portrayed by Eckhart, who heads into the espionage underworld after discovering his wife’s death wasn’t an accident.
Pettyfer will portray the station chief’s protege, while Kurylenko will take on the role of a rogue agent.
Jesse V. Johnson, who will direct the film, is delighted to have Eckhart on board.
He said: “I am thrilled to collaborate with Aaron … he had me at ‘Thank You for Smoking’.
“He’s just such an ideal fit for a role that will test his prowess on so many levels.
“Hold on tight as he dazzles audiences, becoming a juggernaut in this layered and fast-paced spy thriller.”
‘Chief of Station’ producer Steve Jones, of Bee Holder Productions, added: “Aaron has the presence, physicality and depth that made him the perfect fit to take on this wise and calculating character, who ran all CIA operations in Eastern Europe. When he learns his wife was a pawn in the game, his wrath will create hellfire.”
In August, it was revealed Baldwin and Kurylenko were to star opposite one another in the spy film.
‘White Elephant’ helmer Johnson said at the time: “I am honoured to be collaborating on this epic action adventure with one of the bonafide legends of cinema, and pairing Alec and Olga will certainly bring some on-screen magic, she is a force-of-nature.”

Big Brother reboot ‘pushed back to autumn 2023’

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Big Brother’ reboot has reportedly been pushed back until autumn 2023.
The highly anticipated revival of the classic reality show was initially set to hit ITV early next year, but now bosses have decided to delay the launch date to avoid getting lost in the shuffle amid the likes of ‘Love Island’, ‘I’m A Celebrity All Stars’ and other flagship shows like ‘The Masked Dancer’.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column: “‘Big Brother’ was originally touted to be back early next year but now it’s going to be much later.
“Initially the plan was to use it to help launch ITVX. But there is so much telly ITV has to get away that ‘Big Brother’ has now been moved back.
“Those working on the show said it will now return in autumn, rather than spring.”
It’s said the reboot will still be coming to ITV2 and ITVX, while bosses are keen to give the programme the best possible relaunch.
The source added: “ITV wants to make sure ‘Big Brother’ gets the fanfare it deserves and the space it needs in the scheduling to flourish.
“It will be aired on ITV2 and ITVX as planned to give it a bigger launch platform.”
Last month, it was revealed casting is underway for the new series, with producers hunting for the best possible housemates.
ITV previously said: “‘Big Brother’ is looking for the nation’s most interesting, funny and entertaining characters who come from every corner of the country.
“The final cast of housemates will live under the watchful eye of Big Brother, and the nation, for up to six weeks with cameras capturing their every move.
“Over the course of the show, they’ll face a series of clever tasks, nail-biting nominations, and live evictions, with the public once again playing a crucial role, voting throughout the series and ultimately determining the winner.”

David Duchovny joins Adam the First cast

OHMYGOSSIP — David Duchovny will star in ‘Adam the First’.
‘The X-Files’ actor has been cast alongside Oakes Fegley and T.R. Knight in Irving Franco’s movie.
Archstone Entertainment will be introducing the picture to buyers at the American Film Market this week.
Franco has written and directed the movie which follows Adam – who, when his foster parents are suddenly murdered, sets out on a cross-country adventure to track down a series of men who could be his estranged father, each one with a different life that could become his.
‘Adam the First’ is produced by Nathan Marcus, Jonathan Rubenstein, Ari Daniel Pinchot and Bernie Stern. Scott Martin, Michael Sifkin and Jack Sheehan are executive producing for Archstone.
Franco said: “I am extremely excited to be sharing ‘Adam the First’ with the world. Archstone has shown great enthusiasm for the magic and adventure of our film and we are thrilled about this partnership.”
Martin added: “‘Adam the First’ is masterfully crafted and beautifully shot.
“It is engaging from start to finish, Irving Franco did a great job and we are proud to represent it.”
David previously explained that he is “figuring out a way to exist” in Hollywood and claimed that people who “make original stories” are being marginalised in the film industry.
The 62-year-old star said: “Fictionalised documentaries are not what we do best. I’m very bored by that. What it means is that fiction writers like myself, or people that try to make original stories on film, are now in this weird space, figuring out a way to exist.”

Sandra Oh to star in Can I Get a Witness

OHMYGOSSIP — Sandra Oh has been cast in ‘Can I Get a Witness’.
The ‘Killing Eve’ star is to reunite with director Ann Marie Fleming on the upcoming sci-fi thriller.
The movie is currently in development and is among four new projects being launched at this week’s American Film Market by the Canadian company Mongrel International.
‘Can I Get a Witness’ is set in the near future and takes place in a reality where, in order to save the planet, “death is everyone’s job.”
50-year-olds are making the sacrifice while teenage artists have to document it.
Eric Mussolum and Jayme Pfahl are producers on the film while Fleming has penned the script.
Oh and Fleming have previously collaborated on the award-winning 2016 animated flick ‘Window Horses’.
Meanwhile, Sandra revealed that she was “proud to represent” Canada at the funeral of Queen Elizabeth.
The 51-year-old star was present at Westminster Abbey for the late British monarch’s funeral service in September along with fellow Canadians – singer Gregory Charles and Olympic swimmer Mark Tewkesbury.
Sharing photos from the day on Instagram, Sandra wrote: “Proud to represent CA w/ my fellow Order of Canada Valour recipients @gregorycharlesofficiel @marktewks @palmerlp26 at Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II funeral at Westminster Abbey today,
“Thank you @karenclarkson @tahira_makeup @stefanbertin.”
Sandra was named as an officer of the Order of Canada following her starring role in ‘Killing Eve’. She was joined at the funeral by her country’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, while a number of current and former governors and leaders were also in attendance.

Boy George on I’m A Celebrity: I’m bored of being iconic in the corner

OHMYGOSSIP — Boy George is taking part in this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ because he is “bored of being iconic in the corner”.
The 61-year-old pop icon is a huge fan of the ITV show, but admitted he had to think “long and hard” about whether to take part in the programme this year, before accepting the offer.
He said: “I watch ‘I’m A Celebrity’ every year and I had to think long and hard about this. But I feel like I am in a very fertile creative moment in my life. I am in a moment of rediscovery of who I am as a person, artist and older man and I feel like I do make a lot of effort to be in pop culture.
“I am bored of being iconic in the corner and if you want to compete in the world then being part of telly is part of that. This is the biggest show on TV and that is why I am doing it. And now I have made the decision, I don’t want to focus too much on what the experience might be like, but my intention is it is going to be amazing.
“It’s three weeks without make-up and three weeks is nothing. I have just done seven weeks on tour.”
ITV have confirmed the Culture Club singer will appear alongside ‘Coronation Street’ star Sue Cleaver, ‘Hollyoaks’ actor Owen Warner, former England rugby player Mike Tindall, radio presenter Chris Moyles, England Lioness Jill Scott, comedian Babatunde Aleshe, former ‘Love Island’ star Olivia Attwood, and TV presenters Charlene White and Scarlette Douglas.
Mike – who is the husband of Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Tindall – admits it will be “difficult” to land the King of the Jungle title, because winning the show is “out of your control”.
He said: “I reckon it’s a difficult one to win ‘I’m A Celebrity’. I am used to doing something where you know if you do the best you can, you can win. This isn’t that set up.
“All I would hope to do is be useful to the group. Winning is out of your control. But I am not going in to win it. All I can do is what I think is the best and someone else will judge me on whether they think it is. I am looking forward to it.”
‘Corrie’ star Sue – who has played Eileen Grimshaw in the ITV soap since 2000 – has admitted she isn’t going to “wind herself up” over her jungle experience.
She said: “I am going in with an open mind. Nothing is going to kill us and I am not going to wind myself up, trying to overthink everything.
“I don’t know how I will behave and I am going to let the experience unfold in front of my eyes.”

James Bye: Strictly dance-off was one of the worst experiences of my life

OHMYGOSSIP — James Bye says being in the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ dance-off was “one of the worst experiences” of his life.
The ‘EastEnders’ star did not enjoy being in the bottom two against his fellow competitor Fleur East, 35, on the BBC One Latin and ballroom contest on Sunday night (30.10.22), and he went on to be eliminated from the show.
While appearing on ‘Strictly: It Takes Two’ on Monday (31.10.22) alongside his professional partner Amy Dowden, the 38-year-old actor told host Rylan Clark: “It’s up there with one of the worst experiences of my life, especially being up against Fleur. She knows what she is doing, she is very good, and I love her to bits, it’s horrible competing with someone who I’ve got close with and I know is a lovely person, and I knew I was going to go!”
James felt he and 32-year-old Amy “did our best”, and he praised “incredible” Fleur after she and her professional partner Vito Coppola were saved by the judging panel, which is made up of Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke, and Motsi Mabuse.
He said: “It’s never a nice place to be of course, but there is only so much control you have, all you can do is go out and give it your best and hope you don’t mess up.
“The standard is getting better and better, and some dances you will excel at, the quickstep felt like it was one of my dances, but for whatever reason the judge didn’t feel like the Charleston was one of my stronger dances and that’s just the game.
“We did our best, and I am happy to leave the competition in those circumstances. We had the best time, and we danced it as well as we could have danced it, and Fleur is incredible!”
Amy added: “We had a chat and I told him, you’ve got to go out there and fight. But most importantly go and have fun!”
James – who plays Martin Fowler on the BBC One soap – admitted to having no regrets during his stint on the show.
He said: “Also it’s 90 seconds! I think its worst case scenario if you don’t commit and then have regrets, but I don’t think we did, I really think I left nothing up there.”
‘Strictly – It Takes Two’ continues every weeknight at 6:30pm on BBC Two and Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday and Sunday nights on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
