Olivia Attwood quits I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Attwood has quit ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ after just 24 hours.
The former ‘Love Island’ contestant has been forced to leave the camp in Australia on medical grounds after being told by show bosses that it was “not safe” for her to return.
An ‘I’m A Celebrity’ spokesperson said: “As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks.
“Unfortunately, the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation.
“She has been absolutely brilliant and she’ll be very much missed on the show.”
Olivia had skydived out of a helicopter alongside radio DJ Chris Moyles during the opening episode on Sunday night (06.11.22).
Speaking about the experience, the 31-year-old star said: “Oh my God I’m crying, that’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever done. Ever. That is incredible. Top 10 experience of my life. Just amazing.”
It is not clear if she will feature in the second episode of the series, which airs on Monday (07.11.22).
Olivia had become the first ‘Love Island’ star to compete on the popular ITV survival show in a sign of the dating programme’s increasing popularity.
An insider said: “This is a sign that the dating favourite is now so big and produces figures with such high profiles that they can no longer be dismissed.
“Olivia is already viewed as a rising star on ITV and this is likely to serve as a launchpad for potentially fronting more mainstream shows with the broadcaster.”

Ant and Dec are ‘sad to see Olivia Attwood leave I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant and Dec were both “very sad” to see Olivia Attwood leave ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’.
The 31-year-old TV star quit the ITV show after just 24 hours, and the hosts addressed her dramatic departure at the start of the episode on Monday night (07.11.22).
Dec said: “Unfortunately, Olivia Attwood has left the jungle for medical reasons and sadly won’t be returning.”
Ant added: “Now, she does feature in tonight’s show, which was filmed before she had to leave. We’re very sad to see her go and we wish her well.”
Olivia has confessed to being heartbroken about her early exit.
However, the former ‘Love Island’ star has also insisted that the situation was “beyond [her] control”.
A spokesperson said on her Instagram Story: “To say Olivia is heartbroken would be an understatement. She dreamed of doing ‘I’m A Celebrity’ for years, and was absolutely loving every second of the show and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would).
“However, for reasons beyond her control, her journey has been cut short.”
Olivia – who took part in the first trial as a VIP – is said to be particularly frustrated by the suggestion that it “was her decision to leave”.
A source told MailOnline: “She’s so upset. She is absolutely devastated.
“She felt so honoured and privileged to have been the first ‘Love Island’ star to be given the opportunity to go into the ‘I’m A Celeb’ jungle.
“The worst part is that she absolutely did not quit the show and hates anyone thinking it was her decision to leave.”
It’s also expected that the circumstances surrounding her exit will be revealed at a later date.
The insider added: “She wanted to take part still, but she had to leave for reasons beyond her control, which will be explained at a later time.”

Danny Dyer to star in Channel 5 drama Heat

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer is to star in a new drama series for Channel 5.
The 45-year-old actor revealed earlier this year he is leaving ‘EastEnders’ after nine years as Mick Carter, with his character departing over Christmas, and it’s now been confirmed that his first major project will be a role in action thriller ‘Heat’, with the star preparing to head to Australia to start filming in Victoria later this month.
He told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “I can’t wait to get amongst this beautiful piece of work in Australia. I’ve always been intrigued about working there.
“It’s my first gig since ‘EastEnders’. ‘Heat’ has a powerful, dark script and strong Australian cast and crew. Let’s have it!”
The show is set during Australian bushfire season, with two families heading to a secluded property for a summer holiday, only for secrets and lies to begin to unravel.
Channel 5 bosses are delighted to have Danny on board.
Greg Barnett, Commissioning Editor for Channel 5 and Paramount+ said: “I’m delighted that Danny is joining Channel 5 for his first major drama post-‘EastEnders’.
“’Heat’ is a nailbiting thriller and I can’t wait to see him bring his talent and energy to it”.
Danny is joined in the four-part drama by former ‘Neighbours’ stars Olympia Valance and Richie Morris, as well as ‘Christmas on the Farm’ actor Darren McMullen and Jane Allsop, who is known to Australian viewers for ‘Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries’.
The ‘Football Factory’ star admitted in January when he announced he had quit ‘EastEnders’ that he was looking for his “defining role”.
He said: “I’m still looking for that defining role. Maybe it is there, maybe it isn’t. But I’ve always been quite ambitious, and I had quite a long career before EastEnders.”
As well as ‘Heat’, Danny will also host a travel show for E4 alongside daughter Dani, and a gameshow for Netflix called ‘Cheat’.

Jean-Claude Van Damme feels ‘lucky’ to do own stunts

OHMYGOSSIP — Jean-Claude Van Damme feels “lucky” he can still do his own stunts.
The 62-year-old action star has no problem doing the splits or his famed spin-kick and though he thinks it is partly due to genetics that he’s still in such good shape, he also tries to keep working out whenever he can, even if it’s just for a few minutes at a time.
Asked if he can still do his own stunts and spin-kicks, he told The Hollywood Reporter: “Yeah! I’m lucky — I think it’s in my DNA.
“But I’m stretching three times a week. The most important thing in life is to stretch, because muscles can grow and disappear depending on the consistency of your routine.
“Stretching has to be consistent, and not even in a gym. You can do it anywhere, in the right stretchy way, although it’s a little more strange to look at.
“In Hong Kong I live on the 75th floor and it takes about a minute to get up there. So in the elevator, I squat down and slowly come back to my maximum while stretching over the course of the minute.
“I’m stretching all the time, like a cat.
“So right now I’m doing very well. I’m also taking lots of good products — dried fruits and ribose — I’m like a pharmacy…
“I’m doing all [my own stunts], except catching on fire and jumping from a building. Because the insurance will not allow that.”
The ‘Darkness of Man’ actor is determined to make “one more big martial arts film”, though he admitted he is unsure about the fate of ‘What’s My Name?’, which was announced earlier this year and hailed as his “final action film”.
He said: “I want to make one more big martial arts film. But I guess it’s not the time right now. Before I believed in destiny, but now I believe in synchronicity. So if something doesn’t go my way, then it’s not supposed to go my way.
“So ‘What’s My Name?’ may happen, may not happen. And I have another project that’s as good. But that’s for later. Right now, I’m so into Darkness of Man, which was always working in parallel.”

Zach Braff and Vanessa Hudgens to star in French Girl

OHMYGOSSIP — Zach Braff and Vanessa Hudgens are to star in ‘French Girl’.
The former ‘Scrubs’ star and the ‘Spring Breakers’ actress are to appear opposite Evelyne Brochu and William Fichtner in the indie comedy film.
According to Deadline, the movie is written and directed by James A. Woods and Nicolas Wright.
The motion picture will follow Braff’s character Gordon Kinski, a high school teacher who heads to Quebec City with his girlfriend, chef Sophie Tremblay (Brochu), where she is testing for a Michelin three-star restaurant owned by super-chef Rub Collins, who is played by Hudgens.
Production on the movie has begun in Quebec City and Montreal.
Hudgens recently starred in a new virtual-reality experience from horror director Eli Roth.
The 33-year-old actress welcomed viewers into the “ultimate haunted house” in ‘Eli Roth’s Haunted House: Trick-VR-Treat’.
The project came from Roth’s Crypt TV banner and took fans on a Halloween adventure that went horrifically wrong and culminated with an immersive haunted house.
The 30-minute, 180-degree VR experience was written and directed by Roth and premiered in Meta’s Horizon Worlds and Meta Quest TV.
The ‘Trick-VR-Treat’ story unfolded from the perspective of a teenager in the most exciting Halloween neighbourhood in town as she is invited inside the infamous haunted Dollhouse by a young woman dressed as a fairy (Hudgens).
Ahead of the project, she said: “I had such a blast working with Eli Roth, Crypt TV and Meta to bring this terrifying tale to life.
“To consider how the viewers will have an immersive experience in 180 degrees really adds so many exciting and new elements to playing a character. I don’t want to give too much away but I can say, for certain, that you will be spooked…and you’re going to love it.”
Roth added: “I love the format for storytelling and have wanted to make a truly immersive horror piece for years. I wanted to build the ultimate haunted house, and Meta enabled me to bring my vision to life.”

Boy George to practice yoga and chanting on I’m A Celebrity to stay ‘sane’

OHMYGOSSIP — Boy George will practice yoga and chanting on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ to keep him “sane”.
The 61-year-old pop icon expects to “annoy some people” by doing the group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices, as well as the spiritual discipline, but he knows the mindfulness techniques will be beneficial to him on the ITV show.
He said: “I’m going to obviously do yoga and I chant and I know that will annoy some people – so I can hopefully find a space where I can do that because I think that will keep me more sane.”
The ‘Karma Chameleon’ hitmaker admitted ‘I’m A Celebrity’ co-hosts Ant and Dec played a huge part in convincing him to enter the jungle this year.
He said: “I talked about it with my manager, and I said, ‘Oh I’m not doing it.’
I spoke to Ant and Dec and you know how charming they are …”
But the star admits one of the reasons he agreed to take part in the programme is because the show is “not as aggressive” as it previously was, and nowadays he has a “diminished appetite” for “pointless arguments”.
He added to The Sun newspaper: “TV is very different. I’ve always watched the show and it’s not as it’s not as aggressive as it used to be.
“If you go back to when, say, Johnny Rotten was on it or Katie Price — that was really hostile and that’s not something I would have enjoyed.
“I mean, I don’t mind an argument or a debate and I’m excited about who might be in there and what might come up. And, you know, I try to be an intelligent person.
“It’s one of the things that until you’re in that situation, you don’t really know how you’re going to react but my appetite for pointless arguments is greatly diminished!”
The Culture Club frontman recently admitted he is taking part in the series because he is “bored of being iconic in the corner”.
He said: “I watch ‘I’m A Celebrity’ every year and I had to think long and hard about this. But I feel like I am in a very fertile creative moment in my life. I am in a moment of rediscovery of who I am as a person, artist and older man and I feel like I do make a lot of effort to be in pop culture.
“I am bored of being iconic in the corner and if you want to compete in the world then being part of telly is part of that. This is the biggest show on TV and that is why I am doing it. And now I have made the decision, I don’t want to focus too much on what the experience might be like, but my intention is it is going to be amazing.
“It’s three weeks without make-up and three weeks is nothing. I have just done seven weeks on tour.”

Warner Bros. Discovery boss David Zaslav wants more Harry Potter films

OHMYGOSSIP — Warner Bros. Discovery boss David Zaslav is keen to make more ‘Harry Potter’ films.
The media executive confirmed that the organisation will place a focus on franchises and are looking for J.K. Rowling’s approval to make another wizardry film.
The author has caused controversy with comments on Twitter that many considered to be transphobic. Some cast members have distanced themselves from Rowling but the studio has indicated that they are prepared to work with her.
Speaking during an investor’s call on Thursday (03.11.22), Zaslav said: “We’re going to focus on franchises. We haven’t had a Superman movie in 13 years. We haven’t done a ‘Harry Potter’ in 15 years. The DC movies and the ‘Harry Potter’ movies provided a lot of the profits for Warner Bros… over the past 25 years.”
He added on the prospect of more Potter films: “If we can do something with J.K. on ‘Harry Potter’ going forward.”
Zaslav explained that Warner Bros. Discovery should take advantage of major franchises such as ‘Sex and the City’ and ‘Lord of the Rings’.
The 62-year-old studio boss said: “What are the movies that have brands that are understood and loved everywhere in the world? Outside the US, in the aggregate, Europe, Latin America, Asia, have about 40 per cent of the theatres that we have here in the US, and there’s local content.
“So when you have a franchise movie, you can often make two to three times the amount of money that you can make in the US because you get a slot, and the focus on big movies, the tentpoles that people love and people are going to leave home and go to dinner early to go to see, and we have a lot of them.”

Ruby Rose to star in Dirty Angels

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruby Rose has joined the cast of ‘Dirty Angels’.
The 36-year-old star will feature alongside Eva Green in the action-thriller directed by Martin Campbell – who has previously helmed Bond films ‘GoldenEye’ and ‘Casino Royale’.
The story is set against the backdrop of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 and follows a group of female soldiers providing medical relief as they are sent to rescue kidnapped teenagers caught between ISIS and the Taliban.
Alissa Silverman has penned the script for the film and production is due to begin next month in Morocco and Millennium Media’s Nu Boyana Studio in Greece.
Moshe Diamant is producing for Signature Pictures and will be joined by Rob Van Norden and Yariv Lerner for Millennium Media.
Ruby has previously starred in action films such as ‘John Wick: Chapter 2’ and ‘The Meg’ and also played the lead role in the first season of the TV series ‘Batwoman’.
The star stepped down from the part in 2020 after just one season and revealed that an allergy to her latex costume contributed to her decision.
She said: “I did find out that I was allergic to latex… and unfortunately my mask is latex.
“I was like, ‘I’m a little itchy!’ And it was getting worse and worse, because as you get more contact with it, I guess you get more reactions.
“I took [it] off at the end and my whole face was just hives.”
Filming on ‘Batwoman’ was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic and Ruby said she and series bosses felt it was “best for the show” if they went their separate ways.
She explained: “You know, we all kind of thought about where we’re at … we were discussing the show and we had a conversation. We did have a discussion and we sort of mutually agreed that probably what was best for the show at the time was they go in a different direction and I go in a different direction.”

Denise Van Outen and ex Eddie Boxshall haven’t spoken since split

OHMYGOSSIP — Denise Van Outen and her ex Eddie Boxshall haven’t spoken since their split.
The 48-year-old actress and the 49-year-old DJ have not talked since they called off their engagement last year, after she claimed he had been messaging other women, but he insists there is “two sides to every story”.
Speaking at the premiere of ‘The Last Heist’ at London’s Leicester Square, Eddie told The Sun newspaper: “You know any break ups are hard, for whatever reason, and it makes it worse, you know, certain things get printed in the press. There’s two sides to every story.”
Eddie revealed there was “no animosity” between him and the former ‘The Big Breakfast’ star – who has moved on with her new man Jimmy Barba – and said they are both “happy”.
He continued: “There is no animosity. Life goes on, The world carries on going round. She’s happy. I’m really happy she’s moved on. And I wish all the love and luck in the world.
“You know, I’m still yet to start dating. I’m looking at career-wise first. Once I’m ready to move on, I’ll move on.”
Eddie admitted he “enjoyed” taking part in ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ with Denise, despite being initially wary as it wasn’t his comfort zone.
He said: “It was something for about two years, being asked to do, you know, Denise said about doing it and because it was wasn’t my forte, it wasn’t my world I sort of, you know, sidestepped it. And to the point, I was just like, you know what, I’m gonna give it a go. And when I did, I really enjoyed it.
“The team, everyone that works on the Channel 4, everyone on the production side of the show itself are fantastic.
“And again, you know, a little bit nerve wracking sitting in front of the camera. Myself and Denise when we were together, we were big fans before it, for the for the regular one to be part of the celebrity one was was huge for us.”
Eddie was among a number of stars who attended ‘The Last Heist’ premiere, including former ‘Love Island’ stars Liam Reardon and Jack Fincham, who had a small part in the movie.
The film – written by Michael Head – tells the story of four thieves who meet back at their local boozer after being on the run for weeks.
It also stars Benidorm’s Perry Benson, and ‘Rise of the Footsoldier’ actor Terry Stone.

Danny Miller: Matt Hancock should accept he’ll be public’s toy on I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Miller says Matt Hancock needs to accept he is going to be the public’s “toy” on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ star won last year’s series of the ITV reality show, and he has warned the former Health Secretary that the public will be voting in their droves for him to take part in Bushtucker Trials “regardless of how entertaining he is” in the jungle.
He said: “I think he needs to just accept the fact that he is going to be everyone’s toy. Last year, unfortunately, Naughty Boy got it because he did the first one and he was very entertaining.
“This year, I think regardless of how entertaining he is, I think he needs to accept that what he’s put us through … the public are going to say, ‘This is what we’re going to put you through,’ and then when they’re done with him they will just get rid of him.”
Danny has predicted ‘Coronation Street’ star Sue Cleaver, former England women’s footballer Jill Scott, and pop icon Boy George will make the final three on the show.
He said: “I’d like to think Sue Cleaver, Boy George and Jill Scott. They’re prediction for the final three. I’ve met Jill a few times, she’s lovely.”
Danny also admitted he didn’t enjoy going from being isolated in the jungle to returning to normality when he first left the camp last year.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’, he added: “It took me a few months to be able to go and say, ‘I wish I could’ve done it again,’ because I hated the feeling after it of kind of being completely isolated to being like, ‘Here’s a load of responsibilities,’ and here’s your phone back.
“I really struggled with it because it was hard … you didn’t have to worry about anything, because you didn’t have any phones, you had no stresses, no worries, no anxieties and suddenly you got out and someone goes, ‘Oh, well done for winning, here’s your phone back.’
“There are still messages I haven’t read because it’s quite overwhelming.”

The Masked Singer reveals I’m A Celebrity special

OHMYGOSSIP — ITV has announced the characters for The Masked Singer’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ special.
The two ITV reality shows are coming together for a one-off special on Sunday (06.11.22) on ITV to mark the return of the beloved Ant and Dec-fronted series and its Australian campsite, after two years at north Wales’ Gwrych Castle due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
‘The Masked Singer: I’m A Celebrity Special’ will feature four secret celebrities who will be performing under the aliases of Kangaroo, Koala, Cockroach and Witchetty Grub for a one-night musical affair.
Instead of being set up for a Bushtucker Trial, the celebs – whose identities are hidden underneath their costumes – will sing their little critter hearts out for the audience and the judging panel, Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan, will try to decipher who is who.
The show will be led by host Joel Dommett, who knows all about jungle life after he competed in ‘I’m A Celebrity’ in 2016.
The 37-year-old comic will also be given the extra challenge of finding clues instead of sustenance for his campmates before the main event kicks off at 9pm.
The new ‘I’m A Celebrity’ series will initially feature 10 famous faces, including pop icon Boy George, ex ‘Love Island’ star Olivia Attwood, ‘Coronation Street’ legend Sue Cleaver and Radio X DJ Chris Moyles.
What’s more, disgraced former Health Secretary Matt Hancock and comedian Seann Walsh are expected join the campmates as latecomers further into the series.
‘The Masked Singer: I’m A Celebrity Special’ airs on Sunday 6th November at 7.30pm on ITV.

Winston Duke: Black Panther has changed the film industry

OHMYGOSSIP — Winston Duke credits the original ‘Black Panther’ film for changing the “landscape” of the film and TV industry.
The 35-year-old actor is reprising his role as the warrior M’Baku in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) sequel ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ and claims that the original 2018 flick – the first Marvel blockbuster with a predominantly black cast – has had a profound effect for representation on screen.
Speaking at the film’s European premiere in London on Thursday (03.11.22), Winston said: “It’s only been four years and I would say that the landscape of film and TV looks and feels radically different at the moment.
“I think what’s happened as a result of the ‘Black Panther’ effect is that it was very permissive. It gave everyone the chance to see what is possible when you centre people that aren’t part of the mainstream lens.
“As a result you save movies like ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ and tons of other movies that took off like wildfire. That’s the thing about equity, equity trickles upwards.”
The movie was made following the death of the original’s lead star Chadwick Boseman and Winston has promised that fans should be excited about the future of ‘Black Panther’.
The ‘Us’ actor said of the film: “Incredibly, incredibly proud. Profoundly proud. Excited for where it’s come from, what it is today and also where it’s going.
“I think by the end of this movie, you will not know what is possible for the franchise. You don’t what’s going to happen next and I think that’s an exciting place to be.”
Duke added that it was important to include a joyful element to the film despite production being overshadowed by Boseman’s passing.
He said: “At the end of the day it is a movie about superheroes and about people with superpowers.”

Paul Burrell: Matt Hancock will be humiliated on I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Burrell says Matt Hancock will be “humiliated” on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The former royal butler – who appeared on the fourth series of the ITV show in 2004 – thinks the rumoured £400,000 that the MP is being paid to appear in the jungle is an “incredible fee”, and he believes the huge sum has essentially been paid to “humiliate” the former Health Secretary.
Paul said: “I wish I’d been paid that much money. It’s an incredible fee to pay someone to sit in the jungle to eat a kangaroo’s penis isn’t it?
“Somebody is paying this amount of money to humiliate him.”
Paul also warned Matt – who previously came under fire after he was caught kissing his aide Gina Coladangelo amid the COVID-19 pandemic, when social distancing guidance was in place – he will have nowhere to hide once he enters the Australian jungle.
Speaking on TalkTV’s ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored’, he added: “There’s no hiding place. The Great British public will decide themselves if they like Matt Hancock or not, and my prediction is they won’t.
“I don’t think Matt Hancock will do himself any justice by doing ‘I’m A Celebrity’ because you can’t hide, you can’t lie. You’re yourself. Everything he does will be recorded.
“I think the Great British public will love to see our Health Secretary swigging back a cockroach smoothie.
“It’ll make great television, but it won’t do him any good.”
It is expected Matt and comedian Seann Walsh will head into camp as latecomers, when the series – which begins on Sunday (06.11.22) – is already underway.
The pair are set to join up with pop icon Boy George, ‘Coronation Street’ star Sue Cleaver, ‘Hollyoaks’ actor Owen Warner, former England rugby player Mike Tindall, radio presenter Chris Moyles, England Lioness Jill Scott, comedian Babatunde Aleshe, former ‘Love Island’ star Olivia Attwood, and TV presenters Charlene White and Scarlette Douglas in camp.

Gordon Ramsay ‘making new dating show’

OHMYGOSSIP — Gordon Ramsay is making a new dating show called ‘Highland Fling’.
The ‘Kitchen Nightmares’ star, 55, has been named as a producer of a new reality show which will see a collection of Scottish lads take an array of lassies on a variety of dates across the world.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “Think ‘The Bachelor’ meets ‘Braveheart’. These Scots are here to prove that whatever they’ve got under their kilt, they are the most eligible men going.”
Gordon recently gave his daughter Tilly – who appeared on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ last year – a grilling about her relationship status, prompting the 20-year-old TikTok star to reveal she was in a relationship.
While appearing on ‘Gogglebox’ in aid of ‘Stand Up to Cancer’, he asked Tilly: “Have you got a boyfriend, yes or no?,” a question she neither confirmed or denied.
After taking her mortified refusal to answer as an affirmative, Gordon – while leaping around the room – said: “Yes! She’s got a boyfriend. Finally.”
While appearing on his new show ‘Uncharted Showdown’, Tilly spoke more about her new love while sharing that her dad hadn’t met him.
She said: “I am in a relationship but dad hasn’t met him just yet.
“I’m really enjoying spending some time with them. But dad’s going to meet him soon.
“Dad’s great in that kind of situation. He loves to be this big, scary person. But really, he’s just as friendly to anyone that any of us bring home so it’s great.”

Babatunde Aleshe doesn’t want to get ‘cancelled’ while on I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Babatunde Aleshe doesn’t want to get “cancelled” while on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ star intends to “walk away from any drama” that could potentially break out among his campmates – who include ‘Coronation Street’ legend Sue Cleaver, ex BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles, royal former rugby player Mike Tindall and the disgraced former Health Secretary Matt Hancock – while attempting to survive in the Australian jungle.
The 34-year-old comedian said: “I’d walk away from any drama, I’ve always said I’m like the least famous person here, so I’m not trying to mess up any opportunities.
“So if people want to argue, I’ll let them do that. I’m not getting cancelled yet.”
Babatunde revealed he was approached to feature on the show when it was being filmed in north Wales’ Gywrch Castle – which was a production response to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions – but he didn’t feel he was “prepared for” it.
He said: “I wasn’t prepared for that. When I was first asked, mentally I was like, ‘There’s no way I’d be able to do it,’ but when it came back around for this year, I tried to think about it and picture myself in there, it was just a better time.”
Babatunde – who is good friends with fellow comedian Mo Gilligan – warned he will be doing “a lot of screaming” while on the ITV show and he is dreading Bushtucker Trials.
He said: “People are going to get to know me through this show a bit better and I just want to enjoy everything. I don’t want to be King of the jungle.
“I am quite happy to go back to normal life afterwards. But it will be a great adventure and my wife is excited and happy I am doing it.”
