Christina Ricci: ‘Fans will be freaked out by Jenna Ortega’s incredible Wednesday Addams’

OHMYGOSSIP — Christina Ricci says audiences will be “freaked out” by Jenna Ortega’s “incredible” portrayal of Wednesday Addams.
The actress, 42, praised Jenna’s work after she played the iconic role 30 years ago in the 1991 film ‘The Addams Family’ and its 1993 sequel ‘Addams Family Values’ alongside a cast that included Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia and Christopher Lloyd.
Jenna, 20, will play the part for the upcoming Netflix show ‘Wednesday’, out November 23, in which Christina is her schoolteacher Marilyn Thornhill.
Christina told Extra at the CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday (07.11.22): “The whole cast is amazing. Jenna’s so incredible on the show. She’s (Jenna’s) like, people are just going to freak out about how good she is… you know, I have a lot of, like, obviously, like, so much love and attachment to the Wednesday that I played and those movies. And so be asked to be part of the new iteration was really meaningful to me.”
Tim Burton, with whom Christina worked on his 1999 film ‘Sleepy Hollow’ with Johnny Depp, also helped develop Wednesday and directed several episodes.
Christina added “working with Tim again was great.”
‘The Addams Family’ started as a comic strip by Charles Addams and has been adapted several times, initially as a beloved TV show in the 1960s, before several film and television adaptations and a Broadway musical in 2010 starring Nathan Lane.
Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ includes Catherine Zeta-Jones, 53, who plays the family matriarch Morticia Addams, as well as Luis Guzman, 66, as the father of the family Gomez Adams and Fred Armisen, 55, in the role of Uncle Fester.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK apologises after mistaking Baby for another Black queen

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ has apologised after Baby blasted the show over an “embarrassing” mistake.
The 25-year-old drag performer slammed the BBC Three reality show for using a photo of her fellow competitor Black Peppa, 29, – who echoed Baby’s sentiment – instead of her during fellow contestant Dakota Schiffer’s exit interview, as she named Starlet, Baby and Danny Beard as her closest pals from her time on the show.
Baby wrote on Twitter: “I know I’m late to the party but I genuinely hope the person who edited @dakota_schiffer’s farewell video gets f****** fired.
“It’s so embarrassing that someone on the @dragraceukbbc socials team can’t differentiate between the only two Black girls on the cast.”
Black Pepper agreed, responding on the microblogging site: “I second that! It’s honestly lazy and disgusting.”
The reality show – which is hosted by RuPaul and has a judging panel including Michelle Visage, Graham Norton and Alan Carr – offered their “heartfelt apologies” to the two queens and all those impacted by the post.
The show said on their official Twitter account: “We are so deeply sorry about an error that appeared on a BBC social video that was made to support ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’.
“We have sincerely apologised to both Baby and Black Peppa and we also want to extend our heartfelt apologies to anyone else that this post offended.
“As soon as the mistake was spotted, the post in question was removed from all of our platforms.
“Once again, our sincerest apologies.”
In response to this statement earlier this week, Baby accepted their apology and commended the team for “taking responsibility” for their mistake.
She wrote: “Shout out to the @dragraceukbbc socials team for taking responsibility for their actions. Thank you.”

Kumail Nanjiani would ‘love’ to play Kingo in ‘Eternals’ sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Kumail Nanjiani would “love” his character Kingo to return in a potential ‘Eternals’ sequel.
The actor, 44, said he dreamed of coming back as the warrior when asked about a claim from his co-star Patton Oswalt, 53, who played Pip the Troll in the 2021 superhero film, saying a follow-up was already in the works.
Kumail told the ‘Bingeworthy’ podcast by ‘The Playlist’ about the rumour: “I have no idea. I don’t think Patton was right. I think that there was a hoax website – one of those where it’s like one letter off from the real one.
“They tweeted it, and it spread around and I think that’s what Patton saw. I honestly don’t know anything.
“I would love for Kingo to come back. I love playing that character. That one’s very fun to play, you’re just in a good mood.
“You do finger guns, you’re like a movie star – what’s not to love? You’re just in a good mood the entire time.”
Patton had told ‘Today’: “They have announced there’s going to be an Eternals sequel. Chloé Zhao is going to direct it.
“So, hopefully, there will be more adventures of Starfox (played by Harry Styles in ‘Eternals’) and Pip.”
‘Eternals 2’ has not been announced by Marvel but Kumail added that he “would love to come back” as he loves “what the MCU is doing now”.
He said: “I just saw ‘Black Panther 2’ and I was really, really blown away. So, I’d love to come back, but I genuinely have no idea if or when.”
Directed by Oscar-winning Chloé Zhao, 40, ‘Eternals’ also starred Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Barry Keoghan, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie.
Kumail last year said he wanted use Kingo to break down stereotypes of Middle Eastern characters on screen.
He added: “I’ve been in this industry for about a decade and I looked at the usual opportunities that the brown dudes get. We get to be nerdy. I wanted him to be the opposite of that – I wanted him to be cool.
“With nerdy goes ‘weakling’, and I wanted him to be the opposite of that and to be strong physically.
“Or we get to be terrorists, and I wanted him to be the opposite of that. I wanted him to be this character full of joy.”

Ryan Reynolds game for Taylor Swift to appear in ‘Deadpool 3’ as she’s ‘genius’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Reynolds says he is game for Taylor Swift to appear in ‘Deadpool 3’ as he thinks she’s a “genius”.
The actor, 46, shut down fan rumours the singer, 32, was going to appear in the film after they speculated she would make a cameo.
They had noticed a video Ryan released in late September, which revealed Hugh Jackman, 54, would return as Wolverine, was shot in the same location Taylor used as the setting for her ‘All Too Well: The Short Film’.
Ryan told Entertainment Tonight about the theory: “If we shoot the next ‘Deadpool’ film in our house, then that would be that location.”
But he added when asked if he would like Taylor to appear in the upcoming movie: “Are you kidding me? I would do anything for that woman. She’s a genius.”
Ryan added his wife Blake Lively, 35, and their children James, seven, Inez, six, and Betty, three, are “obsessed” with the singer’s latest album ‘Midnights’.
He also told Entertainment Tonight he had been asking Hugh to be part of Deadpool “for six straight years”.
Ryan added: “It was ultimately Hugh that said, ‘I think I am ready to come back.’
“All we had to do was sell it to (producer) Kevin Feige, which didn’t take long, and the next thing you knew here we are.”
Filming for Deadpool 3 has not yet started yet but Shawn Levy is set to direct the sequel while Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are to write the script.
Reese has told fans not to “worry” about the fear the third instalment could be Disney-fied after Disney bought its producer 20th Century Fox.
But he has added: “Now when it comes to a particular joke, if we cross a line, maybe we’ll hear at some point, ‘Maybe not that joke.’
“But I think they’ve been incredibly supportive of what we’re doing, because obviously we were doing it separate from them for a long time, and I think they’ve seen the success and they’ve had their own even greater success. So hopefully it’ll be a marriage made in heaven. But we’ve definitely got their support, and that’s a great thing to feel.”

Sheridan Smith ‘decked’ whole bottle of fake wine in one take for new show

OHMYGOSSIP — Sheridan Smith “decked” a whole bottle of fake wine in a single take while filming ‘Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything’.
The ex ‘Gavin and Stacey’ star defied all on-set expectations about her capacity for the faux vino and downed it all in one on new Sky drama – which follows a woman with a laundry list of addictions and personal problems hitting rock bottom at her brother’s wedding, and is set to debut on December 7.
The 41-year-old actress told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “The scene started and I think the production team thought I was going to say, ‘Cut, I can’t drink all that’. Anyway, I didn’t.
“They all had to wait for ages as I decked this whole bottle of pretend wine in one take. When I finished, I had to deliver the line, ‘I’m good, thanks!’ all bloated like a balloon.”
Sheridan admitted she struggled to “breathe” after necking the bottle but was met with a rapturous response from everyone witnessing the great feat that ruined her appetite.
She added: “I could hardly breathe after downing it all. Afterwards, the whole crew gave me this big round of applause but I felt so sick. I didn’t even eat my lunch.”
The BAFTA winner – who has son Billy, two, with her ex Jamie Horn – will star in the six-part series alongside ‘Shameless’ star Pauline McLynn, ‘Father Ted’ star Ardal O’Hanlon and ‘I May Destroy You’ star Lewis Reeves.
Last month, it was reported that Sheridan will return to the West End in as the title role in Willy Russell’s play ‘Shirley Valentine’ – the story of a dissatisfied Scouse housewife who takes a holiday to Greece that was turned into a 1989 movie starring Pauline Collins – next spring.
An insider said: “Sheridan is perfectly cast. Everyone involved with the production is hugely excited. This is a total coup.
“It’s a script that will make audiences laugh and cry. It will have an empowering feminist twist but it won’t be shoving woke down people’s throats.”

Bez refuses to watch Celebrity Gogglebox

OHMYGOSSIP — Bez won’t watch ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ because he “hates” seeing himself on television.
The Happy Mondays dancer – who won ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in 2005 – admitted he has never watched the Channel 4 reality show, which he appears on with bandmate Shaun Ryder and reacts to the week’s biggest TV moments.
Speaking to The Big Issue magazine, he said: “Who would ever have thought that at our age me and Shaun would be on the telly sitting on our sofa?
“We are so out there in terms of the establishment’s idea of the norm. But somehow we’ve been embraced by the mainstream. What an incredible thing to have happened, no one could have predicted it.
“I think ‘Gogglebox’ shows our friendship as it is. But I’m not sure because I’ve never watched it. I hate myself on television. I think I sound so thick it’s unbelievable.”
Meanwhile, Bez insisted not tuning into ‘Big Brother’ meant he was able to be free when he went onto the celebrity version 17 years ago.
He explained: “My saving grace was that I had never actually watched the show. So I had no preconceptions of how I should behave or how I should play the game.
“I was just my usual self – I try to be well mannered and polite and nice to people.
“I was slightly rebellious, but I was always pleasant and I supported people when they needed support.
“Like Jackie Stallone – I think that got me in with the blue rinse brigade. People who would normally not look at me twice.”
However he suggested the main reason he was able to win the show that year was due to fans of the band throwing themselves behind him, rather than winning people over.
He added: “But a lot of my win was down the support I got out there as a Happy Monday. I don’t think people realise what a huge support base we have.”

Matt Hancock and Seann Walsh face first Bushtucker trial on tonight’s I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Hancock and Seann Walsh have to face the Beastly Burrows before joining the rest of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ campmates.
The former Health Secretary and comedian will both be heading into camp on this evening’s episode (09.11.22) but first they’ve got to take part in their own Bushtucker Trial.
In a preview for tonight, the pair can be seen heading through a dark tunnel, getting covered in slurry and bugs in a bid to find some stars.
Hancock, 44, can be heard calling out to the comedian, who seems to be struggling with the trial while the Tory MP battles on.
At one point, host Declan Donnelly laughs as he watches the two contestants bicker when they’re told they’ve used one minute of their time.
Hancock asks: “Which way do you want me to go?”
A clearly stressed Seann replies: “Which way do I want you to go? I’m not a Sat Nav, I don’t know.”
By the end of the preview clip, Hancock seems to have found a star buried underneath some feathers, but viewers will have to wait to see how many they bring back to their new campmates.
After plenty of reports, the pair were officially confirmed for ‘I’m A Celebrity’ at the end of Tuesday’s episode (08.11.22), and in an Instagram Live, Dec and his co-host Ant McPartlin were excited to see how they fared – in particular, Hancock.
Ant said: “Let’s see what he is like. I don’t know the man. I don’t know anything about him but I am sure we are about to find out!”
Dec added: “Here is a fun fact, they have already gone in there this morning. Not in camp but in the jungle.
“They are somewhere in there already and have been given a task. Obviously they face a trial but they have been given something to do as well.”

Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal top Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard again

OHMYGOSSIP — Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal have topped the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ leaderboard again.
The 32-year-old wildlife presenter and his professional partner scored 38 points out of 40 with their Cha Cha Cha routine and head judge Shirley Ballas described the performance as the “best Cha Cha Cha I’ve ever seen”.
Anton Du Beke and Motsi Mabuse gave the pair top marks but Craig Revel Horwood only handed out eight points.
Elsewhere, Kym Marsh and Graziano Di Prima and Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez were awarded 10s as they both scored 37 points with their Argentine Tango and Jive respectively.
Anton gave perfect marks to each pair as they received nine points from the other three judges.
Fleur East and Vito Coppola also impressed to score 35 points after surviving the dance-off last weekend.
At the other end of the leaderboard, comedian Ellie Taylor and her partner Johannes Radebe disappointed the judges with their Rumba to the song ‘Alone’ by Heart.
The 39-year-old star left Craig underwhelmed as he felt the dance was stiff. He only gave her three points as she could muster just 22 in total.
She was kept off the bottom of the leaderboard by former footballer Tony Adams – who performed a salsa to Pitbull’s ‘I Know You Want Me’ with partner Katya Jones.
Craig suggested that Tony’s dance “didn’t work tonight” and awarded him just four points. He managed a total of 21 in a tough evening on the dancefloor.
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ returns on Sunday (06.11.22) with the results show at 7.15pm on BBC One.

Boy George victim slams his inclusion in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — A man handcuffed to a wall by Boy George has blasted his inclusion in this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ line-up.
The Culture Club singer was jailed in 2009 for assault and false imprisonment over his treatment of Auden Carlsen two years earlier, which he later claimed was due to his drug addiction and a psychotic episode, but the 43-year-old former escort is furious the 61-year-old singer has been able to move on with his life and will earn around £800,000 for his appearance on the reality show.
Audun told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Had I been a woman and he did what he did, he would never have been given the platform.
“I think giving him this sort of platform and a record fee sends the wrong message to survivors of violence and abuse and is plain wrong.”
Audun insisted he won’t be watching the show, unless George is forced to face his fears in a Bushtucker Trial.
He added: “I still see the monster that he is every time I see him. He hasn’t changed. I’m not going to watch I’m A Celeb, and I love that show. I might watch him doing a Bushtucker Trial.
“But I won’t vote for him, I won’t participate. Being in there is too easy for him.
“When it gets scary he can say ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’. I couldn’t do that when I was chained to his wall.”
George – who has maintained his innocence over claims he beat the man with a chain – said in 2017 that he regretted what he had done.
Speaking on ‘Piers Morgan’s Life Stories’, he said: “I sent myself to prison. I told police why I did what I did. I was having a psychotic episode.
“I was a drug addict so I can’t say my reasons for doing it were founded in any way. But I told the truth. I have always denied beating the guy.”
“I still see the monster that he is every time I see him. He hasn’t changed. I’m not going to watch I’m A Celeb, and I love that show”
But Auden is still looking for a personal apology from the ‘Karma Chameleon’ hitmaker because he didn’t find his comments genuine.
He said: “I can always forgive, but it has to come from a truthful place.
Audun continued: “I think he will be in control, calculating, he knows exactly what he is doing.
“But there will be times when the mask slips, when there’s no food, only cockroaches to eat. I think a person with a kind personality will win. He doesn’t deserve to be a winner.”
ITV have defended the decision to welcome George to the show.
A source said: “This is a historic, spent conviction and George has appeared on major TV networks globally on numerous occasions since over the last decade.”
And a spokesperson for the star insisted he has “earned” a second chance.
The representative said: “George went to jail for four months willingly after openly confessing to false imprisonment during a psychotic break 15 years ago whilst in the midst of a well documented drug problem.
“Not only has he been a pillar of society ever since, but he also remains sober to this day. He apologised publicly on Piers Morgan’s life stories and we are very proud of him for his rehabilitation.
“Everyone is entitled to a second chance and George has certainly earned it.”

Denise Van Outen: Heartache from Eddie Boxshall split was worth it

OHMYGOSSIP — Denise Van Outen believes the heartache she experienced with Eddie Boxshall was “worth it”.
The 48-year-old presenter was horrified to discover her fiance had sent dozens of raunchy messages to other women and despite her devastation at ending their seven-year relationship, she’s now in a better place than ever because she’s grown closer to her friends and has found love again with former dancer Jimmy Barba.
She told Fabulous magazine: “Obviously those things weren’t nice to go through, but where I’m at now with Jimmy [Barba], who has such a good energy, everything was worth it.
“Honestly, I feel like I’m in a nice, happy, good place. I wouldn’t change anything.
“And there were so many positives that came out of it.
“I reconnected with a lot of close friends.
“They reached out to me, which is lovely. You get caught up in life when you’re in a relationship and especially when you’re blending families and you’ve got the kids to consider. So you don’t always make time for your friends.
“Everything that happened took all my friendships to another level.”
Denise – who has 12-year-old daughter Betsy with ex-husband Lee Mead – also sought therapy in the wake of the split, which she admitted has been very helpful.
She added: “I’ve got myself into therapy, too, which was really good. It’s made me realise I’m very much a people-pleaser. I don’t like confrontation or arguments, but that makes me vulnerable as a person. So now I’m learning to have boundaries.”
The ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ star met Jimmy, 55, through All Saints singer Shaznay Lewis and they took their relationship slowly before going public in June.
She explained: “We were taking our time and we never went out because we didn’t want to get spotted. I wanted to wait until the relationship was solid.
“We would spend hours and hours just sitting talking in the kitchen. We’ve really taken the time to get to know each other.”

Jon Voight is ‘blessed’ to have had such a long Hollywood career

OHMYGOSSIP — Jon Voight feels “blessed” to have had such a long career in Hollywood.
The 83-year-old actor has appeared in more than 100 films since starting out in the industry in 1963and claimed that the “secret to longevity” is just to be very “fortunate” throughout life.
He said: “I think – that’s a funny question. What’s the secret to longevity? I think you have to be blessed. Everyone has a gift, we all have gifts. Everybody. Nobody’s different. We all have something special because each one of us is unique. When you get a talent and the talent is surrounded by some loving energies so that talent comes forth, that is the event. Like in this film, there are some people who have come forth because of this experience. I’ve had a lot of people help me throughout my career and I’ve had a lot of encouragement in times when I got down. I’ve just been fortunate, God has been good to me a little bit and has taken care of me. I’m fumbling around because it’s a difficult question for me to answer. But I don’t know what the answer to longevity is, except you have to be very fortunate.
The ‘Midnight Cowboy’ actor – who is the father of fellow Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie and ‘Breaking Dawn’ actor James Haven – is currently starring in new horror movie ‘Dangerous Game: The Legacy Murders’ and explained that he has maintained his career with by changing up the types of roles he has played over the years.
He told HeyUGuys: “You can talk about genetics and a lot of other things too but in terms of work and to have the energy to keep going, keep being surprised and keep being available to change to have the courage to experiment and try new areas. In my career, I have changed, I used to be a cute younger actor and then I took a movie called ‘Runaway Train’ and I became a physical force. That changed me and I started doing a whole different career, I played ‘Heat’, I played ‘Ray Donovan’ and was able to open up ‘Anaconda’, I became a different aspect too so I was able to change in my career.”

The 43-year-old actor has been filming ‘The Electric State’ with Stanley Tucci, Millie Bobby Brown and directors Joe and Anthony Russo, but shooting has been paused on the Netflix production out of respect after an unnamed crew member passed away in an off-set crash in Georgia on Friday (04.11.22).
Film bosses announced in a statement: “‘The Electric State’ production family lost a valued production crew member yesterday.
“We express our deepest condolences to his family and friends. We love our crew like family. And this is devastating news to all of us.”
Chris shared the statement on his own Instagram Story on Saturday (05.11.22) along with a personal message.
He added: “Our prayers go out to the family and friends of our beloved teamster who passed away Friday morning.
“Reminder to hold your loved ones close [heart emoji] (sic)”

Carey Mulligan felt ‘weight of responsibility’ with She Said role

OHMYGOSSIP — Carey Mulligan “felt the weight of responsibility” with her new movie ‘She Said’.
The 37-year-old actress plays Megan Twohey – one of the New York Times journalists who exposed sexual abuse allegations against Harvey Weinstein – in the movie and she took her work “very seriously” because the story being depicted in the film is “so real and so recent”.
She told People magazine: “I think we felt that weight of responsibility, and I felt that on other jobs.
“I think particularly when you play a real person, you have that, but the stories that we were telling are so real and so recent, and not just to the people that were involved in the film, but to viewers, to an audience.
“You’re aware that this story will impact people who go and see it in the cinema, so I think we all felt like it was a big task and we took it very seriously.”
Carey praised the real Megan – who won a Pulitzer Prize along with Jodi Kantor for their work on the expose – for giving “unfettered access to her life” when she was researching the role.
She said: “I’ve never played a person who’s still alive. I played real people, but I’ve been reading autobiographies, so this was really exciting, and she’s just the coolest person. So I wanted to be her friend. I wanted her to like me.
“Our kids hung out together. We had play dates. She brought her daughter to my son’s birthday party, and she was just so generous. She was amazing.”
The British actress – who has Evelyn, seven, and Wilfred, five, with husband Marcus Mumford – was guided by the journalist’s passion for her work.
She said: “Journalism is a vocation for her, it’s not just a job.
“It comes from this deeply rooted belief that she has that her vocation is to uncover injustice and mistruths and show them.”
The movie also stars Zoe Kazan as Jodi and Mike Houston as disgraced producer Weinstein.

Jordan Peele wanted to pay tribute to Akira in Nope

OHMYGOSSIP — Jordan Peele wanted to pay tribute to ‘Akira’ with a scene in ‘Nope.’
The 43-year-old director was at the helm of the 2022 neo-Western science fiction horror film – which stars Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer as a brother and sister attempting to capture evidence of a UFO – and explained that he was inspired to replicate the famous downwards slow-motion slide shot from the 1988 Japanese anime and that the movie introduced him to a world of animation he had not seen as a fan of the Walt Disney classics.
He said: “It was an expensive VHS. Straight up, like, $25 or $30. Coming from being raised to think that Disney is synonymous with animation, I was suddenly introduced to this entire world, where animation is also adult. There are so many things that you’re experiencing throughout that film like cyberpunk dystopia, with the inventiveness of the biker culture that is enough to populate whole seasons of television, and then this huge, horrific take on superpower.”
He told Empire magazine’s Review Of The Year issue: “I was flirting with the ambition of trying to do ‘Akira’. Ultimately, I felt like if I was going to put that much energy into trying to honour one of the best works of all time, why not put that energy into something of my own. It wasn’t like I wrote a script and said, ‘Oh, I want to do the Akira slide here. The scene is a pivotal scene for Keke Palmer, for Emerald’s character, where she decides to take a stand. So when we got to planning that moment, there are so many ways you can stop a motorcycle, and it was just like, ‘You know what? I could do it a different way, or we could build this rig and do a practical f******Akira slide.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellie Simmonds is the sixth celebrity to depart this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 27-year-old former Paralympian swimmer – and first person with dwarfism to compete on the BBC One show – said her time on the series was “life changing” as it has boosted her confidence.
Ellie, who was partnered with pro dancer Nikita Kuzmin, 24, added when asked by host Tess Daly about her experience: “I’ve literally had the time of my life. It’s been the most incredible experience – life changing really.
“I want to thank Nikita ever so much. I’m going to miss him – he’s changed my life and confidence.
“And all of you guys – the pros. Every single one of you who’ve been part of this ‘Strictly’.
“Behind closed doors, the costume designers, I’ve literally loved waking up every single day and dancing – I’m going to dance forever.
“It’s incredible – this show is life changing. (Nikita) changed my life.
“We’ve had the most amazing days. We’ve had not just dancing days but days we’ve just spoken for hours. And the confidence you’ve given me – I seem confident but you know what I’m like, I worry about everything so, so much and we’ve literally represented everything.
“We went out there any danced our life out every single night and I loved it so much.”
Nikita said about Ellie: “First of all make me speak first next time because I am crying!
“I am a bit disappointed as I wanted Ellie to have a bit more time on this TV show – I know how much it means to her.
“I’m really happy that this journey has been with (Ellie) because she has taught me so, so much – so much empathy, just so much… I’ve learnt so much in these seven weeks.
“I really wanted to go with you to Blackpool – I think we should go there for the rides?
“I love you Els, I just want to tell you every single person in this room loves you.
“That is just to say how much of a beautiful human you are. You spend time to go to each person inside this room, you care about everybody, you are just such a wonderful human and I am so glad I’ve had the chance to dance with you.”
Ellie’s exit came after she faced singer Molly Rainford, 21, and her pro partner Carlos Gu, 28, in the dance off.
Ellie and Nikita performed their Charleston to ‘Too Darn Hot’ from ‘Kiss Me Kate’, while Molly and Carlos Gu did a Foxtrot to ‘You Make Me Happy by My Sun and My Stars.
Judge Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Molly and Carlos, saying: “Well, the couple I’d like to save are a couple that I think danced better than they did on Saturday night, in this particular dance off and that couple is Molly and Carlos”
Motsi Mabuse also picked the pair, adding: “First of all I thought that dance off was incredible. Both couples really, really just danced exceptionally well. I have decided to save Molly and Carlos.”
Her fellow judge Anton Du Beke said about his choice of Molly and Carlos: “Well, I think both couples can take credit from dancing an absolutely terrific dance off. But, the couple I’d like to save for making the performance even better than on Saturday night are Molly and Carlos.”
Head judge Shirley Ballas agreed with her fellow panellists, saying about also favouring Molly and Carlos: “Well, it was one of the best dance off’s I think I’ve ever seen, but again the performance was a little bit stronger in this dance off and I would have awarded it to Molly and Carlos.”
Sunday’s results show opened with a Bollywood-inspired routine from the professional dancers, while Luke Evans performed his single ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ from his ’A Song For You’ album.
The remaining nine couples will next take to the dancefloor on Saturday 12 November at 6.55pm, with the results show on Sunday 13 at 7.20pm on BBC One.

Peter Kay announces return to stand-up during I’m a Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Kay is returning to stand-up comedy.
The 49-year-old star has not performed a live tour since 2010 but revealed during an ad break for the first episode of this year’s ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me out of Here!’ that he is to hit the road once more.
Speaking in the advert – which saw him carrying a carpet into a house and heckled on his love for garlic bread by a couple of fans as part of a skit – he said: “It’s the future lads! I’m back on tour next month! .”
The ‘Phoenix Nights’ star will begin his tour on 2 December at the Manchester AO Arena before visiting arenas in Birmingham, Liverpool, Sheffield, Belfast, Newcastle, Glasgow, and Dublin before wrapping up in August and explained that because of the cost-of-living crisis, he has managed to keep ticket prices the same as they were when he last went on tour more than a decade ago.
In a statement, he said: “It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, stand-up comedy, and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now.
“And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35 – the same price they were on my previous tour in 2010.”
A poster for the upcoming tour described a ticket as an “ideal Christmas gift” and jokes that Peter – who has been married to Susan Gargan and has 18-year-old son Charlie as well as two other children with her – is “Better late than never” with his return to stand-up comedy.
Tickets for the ‘Better Late Than Never’ tour are set to go on sale on Thursday 10 November.
