Scott Mills: I said no to I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Scott Mills turned down the chance to appear on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The 49-year-old radio host had a meeting with producers of the ITV show “many years ago” and said no after deciding he couldn’t live in the Australian jungle for several days.
But since finishing in 11th place on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2014, Scott has decided he would be able to take part after all.
He said: “I actually said no to the jungle years ago. We definitely had a meeting about it and I was like, ‘I couldn’t do that!’ But then I did ‘Strictly’ and I think if you can do ‘Strictly’, then you can do the jungle.
“If you say, let’s say, for instance, can’t dance and the 14 million people watching you unable to dance – that’s terrifying. When you know that you actually can’t dance, even though I was trying so hard I’ve got two left feet! I stayed until Halloween, but poor Joanne [Clifton], my dance partner, she would literally be doing this: ‘Left, right’ and [telling me what to do as we were doing it] and I would still get it wrong!”
This year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity’ features Scott’s fellow former Radio 1 star Chris Moyles, and viewers are awaiting the hotly-anticipated arrival of former Health Secretary Matt Hancock.
Scott claimed that he had heard a “rumour” that ITV bosses are planning to put Matt into camp on Thursday (09.11.22), to be in direct competition with the release of the fifth series of Netflix hit ‘The Crown’.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, he added: “Well I think to a point, radio is a bit of an act. But actually, like many radio presenters, Chris can be quite a shy guy. When there’s a camera on you 24/7, you’re gonna have to have some downtime and we’ll probably see that. Of course, we’re awaiting Matt Hancock. Now, I’ve heard a rumour – I don’t know whether this is true – that they’re delaying his arrival to go up against ‘The Crown’ when that gets released tomorrow. Just a rumour I’ve heard.”

Rian Johnson wants to make a third ‘Knives Out’ movie.

OHMYGOSSIP — Rian Johnson wants to make a third ‘Knives Out’ movie.
The ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ director wants to “dive in” with working on making the movies starring Daniel Craig as detective Benoit Blanc a trilogy after the recent limited theatre debut – before it hits Netflix on December 23 – of the new flick also starring Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, Janelle Monae and Kathryn Hahn.
The 48-year-old filmmaker told Total Film: “I had for a while thought that maybe I should do something else first […] But the God’s honest truth is, I had so much fun making this one, and the creative challenge of figuring out a third movie that’s completely different from both this one and the first one — right now, that’s the most interesting creative challenge to me. So I might just dive in and see what we come up with.”
Rian – who also helmed the 2019 original which featured the acting talent of the late Christopher Plummer, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Don Johnson and LaKeith Stanfield – wants to make sure the movies are “new and surprising” in the style of master murder mystery writer Agatha Christie.
He said: “The second we feel like we’re repeating ourselves, or just turning a crank on a machine, we’ll stop. Because to me, the whole conception of this whole series is the same way Agatha Christie did it with her books — we’re doing something new and surprising every time.”
Recently, Daniel gushed about how he loved his Rian’s ability to bring out everyone’s “best”.
The 54-year-old actor said: “His way of bringing the best out of people, I admire it so much. It’s a wonderful way of directing and everybody feels pleased to be there. Everybody feels confident. Everybody feels in a good mood. The mood is light and creative — he creates this atmosphere on set that feels like a wonderful cauldron of creativity. It’s a joy to be around.”

Mabel Cadena says Black Panther: Wakanda Forever required ‘huge work’

OHMYGOSSIP — Mabel Cadena says ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ required “huge work”.
The ‘Asphalt Goddess’ star called bring Namora to life in the Marvel sequel to the 2018 flick- which was delayed due to the death of its star Chadwick Boseman in 2020 from cancer – “like a MasterClass” because of all the skills she needed to pick up, such as learning new languages and upping her physical fitness.
After being asked what surprised her about the process of making the movie alongside her co-stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett, the 32-year-old actress told Collider: “Everything. Everything. It’s a surprise because, well, the training, it’s huge. It’s not easy. No, it’s like a MasterClass for me because you need focus on every part of your character. It’s like, we need training for swimming underwater, for acting underwater, for holding breath. You need to learn Mayan, you need to learn English, you need to learn a lot of things because we have a lot of diversity in the movie. So it’s huge work in a movie like this. It’s like, ‘Oh my God,” I need more hours in my day’.”
Alex Livinalli – who was being interviewed with Mabel – found the process “pretty different” to what he imagined after he was cast as Attuma.
The 36-year-old actor said: “I’m going to say for me, a point that was very interesting. On my very first day, the first person that I met was Winston , and one of the first things that he said to me was, “You’re going to read the script. You’re going to think about what you’re doing. You’re going to think about what everything looks like by the description of it, but when you see it, it’s a whole different thing.
“So most of the things that we shot was green screen, and I was like, “Oh yeah, this is going to look like this. This is going to look like that.” But seeing the movie for the first time, it was just like, “Wow, this is pretty different than what I had in mind.”

Simon Cowell: Decent chance of X Factor returning in 2024

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell says there is a “decent chance” of ‘The X Factor’ returning in the UK or US in 2024.
The 63-year-old music mogul is considering bringing the talent show back to TV screens, and he is said to be more inclined for the programme to head back Stateside, where Simon has a strong working relationship with NBC on ‘America’s Got Talent’.
Speaking about who the judges would be if he does decide to resurrect ‘The X Factor’, he said: “Industry insiders, such as A and R people, rather than artists because they are better judges of talent and less jealous of bright young artists.”
Simon also pointed out that A and R people are not as “ridiculously expensive” as some stars can be, and admits he would take the show “back to basics” if it returns, after the programme ended up being “very complicated”.
He told The Times newspaper: “At the beginning it was very straightforward – you audition and then at the end of the series you get to sing with a superstar.
“So if I was ever going to relaunch it, I would take it back to basics.”
Simon recently admitted he previously “went a bit nuts” when ‘The X Factor’ – which ran for 15 series and two spin-offs on ITV from 2004 to 2019 – started to become successful.
He said: “‘X Factor’ at the beginning, when there was no expectation of us and we could just do what we liked, was great fun. It was when it became successful that everyone, including me, went a bit nuts.
“It was a time in my life where everything was great on the surface but underneath that it just wasn’t fun, and not great. Everything was skewed wrong.
“And I never want to feel that way again.
“Now I think you have to be satisfied with the quality of something, rather than what you’re being judged on – ratings or chart positions.”
In July, it was reported Channel 5 are set to revive ‘The X Factor’.
A source said at the time: “As soon as ‘X Factor’ was up for grabs, there was interest from a number of the networks.
“‘X Factor’ is one of the most iconic shows in TV history, so it’s no surprise lots of channels were keen. The production company had their pick.
“After a lot of meetings, execs decided to go with Channel 5.”

Samantha Womack feeling ‘really good’ after breast cancer surgery

OHMYGOSSIP — Samantha Womack is feeling “really good” after undergoing breast cancer treatment.
The 50-year-old actress – who is in a relationship with former ‘Coronation Street’ star Oliver Farnworth, and has children Benjamin, 21, and Lily, 17, with ex-husband Mark Womack – was diagnosed with the illness earlier this year, but returned to the London production of ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ shortly after completing surgery.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star has explained that her diagnosis came about because of a “random check”, even though she did not feel unwell or find a lump.
She said: “I went back two weeks ago because I’ve been away to have my surgery for breast cancer but then I came back and did a nine-show week. It was so inspiring and I felt really happy. It just felt fantastic.
“It was directly after the surgery, I think it’s just my Nordic Viking genes. I was like, ‘Oh I’ll just get back,’ but I’m doing a lot of sword work, so I changed my mind after two days. I’m really good.
“I was diagnosed about three-and-a-half, four months ago with breast cancer. It was really incredible because I didn’t find a lump, and I didn’t feel unwell. There had been a lot of illness around our friends and family and I just thought I would do a random check. And I had an ultrasound, it showed a little shadow.
“At that point, it could be anything – it could be a cyst. And then I had further investigations and that was diagnosed. I was lucky, it was less than two centimetres and I had a lumpectomy – which is just a piece of tissue removed – and five lymph nodes, and it was prevalent in one. The mad thing about cancer is when you have it, you suddenly understand that there are so many different roads, different diagnoses and it is a fascinating world.
“It’s terrifying at the beginning but if there was ever a time to have it, there are so many treatments now. So many new treatments are changing the face of cancer. It’s amazing.”
Samantha first opened up about her diagnosis in August this year following the death of Dame Olivia Newton-John – who passed away at the age of 73 following her own 30-year-battle with the disease – and explained that she felt inspired to speak out about her condition because she recalled meeting the ‘Grease’ star when she played the part of Sandy herself in a London production of the classic musical in 1994.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, she told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “In the beginning, I didn’t know if it was the right thing to do [share her news on social media]. But then my daughter Lily was in the kitchen with Ollie cooking. She read about Olivia Newton-John, she just read it. I’d been with Olivia for a dinner after I played Sandy in ‘Grease’. It was just at the beginning of her diagnosis and what struck me was that her journey was her journey had been 30 years. She was at the end and I was just at the beginning and it took me back. I felt very moved by it and felt, ‘I wanna share it, I wanna put it out there.’ ”
Samantha was greeted with so many stories from other women upon sharing her news and urged women in their 30s and 40s to check themselves more regularly in order to get a diagnosis as soon as possible.
She added: “So many private stories of women came back. Breast cancer is a strange one because it doesn’t just attack your body, it attacks your image, it attacks your affiliation with femininity. Your breasts, as a mother, or as a woman, your hair.
“Lots of things you associate with feeling powerful, strong and attractive. So many women should be checking themselves in their 30s and 40s. There’s so many women who would be diagnosed so much earlier if they just checked themselves sooner.”

Peter Andre: Matt Hancock is not going to save his reputation by going on I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Andre doesn’t think Matt Hancock can “save his reputation” by appearing on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The former Health Secretary is set to enter the jungle in the coming days, but pop star Peter – who finished in third place on the ITV show in 2004 and famously met now ex-wife Katie Price during his time on the series – explained that people are still “hurt” by the actions Matt took to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
He said: “I’ve always said [Ant and Dec] are the kings of what they do – in times when the line-up hasn’t been superb, they carry the show. But they’ve actually got a really exciting cast this year and I can’t wait to see what unfolds. Life might seem back to normal but the shadow of Matt Hancock hanging over that camp is a big reminder of all the hurt that people have been through during the coronavirus pandemic.”
The Australian-born singer – who now lives in London with wife Emily and their kids together, Amelia, eight, and five-year-old Theo – admitted he couldn’t see his parents for two years because of travel restrictions imposed during the lockdowns, and claimed that the impact of the COVID is still “very raw” to millions as he wondered how the MP could ever defend himself.
In a piece for Yahoo! News, he wrote: “Now although I didn’t see my parents for two years because they were on the other side of the world and I couldn’t travel, we have to remember the millions of people whose elderly parents lived just down the road – and they weren’t able to visit them either. It’s still very raw. So he could come across as a really nice guy – it’s irrelevant. What can he say in his defence?”
Matt also previously came under fire after he was caught kissing his aide Gina Coladangelo amid the COVID-19 pandemic, when social distancing guidance was in place.
The ‘Mysterious Girl’ hitmaker – who also has Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, from his marriage to Katie – went on to reflect on his own time on ‘I’m A Celebrity’, and while it has been almost two decades since he took part in the show, he can still “smell the fire burning” every time the series returns to screens.
He wrote: “Can you believe it’s been 18 years since I did the show? But when I see the celebs walking into camp for the first time, it all comes rushing back to me – even the smell.
“Smell has such a strong link to the memory and when I see that red telephone box surrounded by the bush and hammocks, I can smell the fire burning and the overpowering damp of tropical storms brewing in the air.”

EastEnders star Bill Treacher dies aged 92

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ star Bill Treacher has died at the age of 92.
The actor – who played Arthur Fowler on the BBC soap between 1985 and 1996 – passed away on Saturday (05.11.22), with his family confirming that his health “had been declining for some time”.
His family said in a statement: “Bill was a brilliant actor and a wonderful husband and father, plus a very fine human being. He will be hugely missed.”
An ‘EastEnders’ spokesperson said: “It is with great sadness that we learnt of the passing of Bill Treacher.
“As one of our original cast members, Bill created a much-loved character in Arthur Fowler and, alongside Wendy Richard, they created an iconic family in the Fowlers who still remain at the heart of the show.
“Bill left ‘EastEnders’ in 1996 so it is a true testament to both he, and the character that he created in Arthur, that he is still thought of so fondly. Bill will always be remembered for his charm, sense of humour – with a smile that lit up the room – and more importantly as a family man who was devoted to his wife and children.
“Bill will forever be held in great affection by everyone at ‘EastEnders’ and all those that loved watching him.”
Adam Woodyatt, his former co-star, has paid a glowing tribute to the late actor, too.
Adam said: “So many memories of working with Bill, most of them involving him making us corpse. He would get this twinkle in his eye, you’d start laughing and he never got the blame.
“I used to love it when he was trying to remember his lines in rehearsal and he would just blunder and bluster until the correct word came out.”
Treacher – who also appeared in ‘The Bill’ and ‘Casualty’ – was married to Australian actress Katherine Kessey. Together, they had a son called Jamie and a daughter called Sophie.

People will see the real me on I’m a Celebrity, says Matt Hancock

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Hancock has promised to show his “human side” on ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’.
The 44-year-old former health secretary is starring on the ITV show, and he’s given viewers an insight into what they can expect from him during his time in the jungle.
Matt – who is joining the show alongside Seann Walsh – said: “When I’m in camp, people will just see the real me.
“Survival in the jungle is a good metaphor for the world I work in. People will see me warts and all, will see the human side of the guy behind the podium.”
Matt has also insisted that he’s fully committed to the series, despite the controversy that surrounds him.
He explained: “Lots of people have a view on me from being health secretary in the pandemic dealing with some very difficult issues, but that’s not the whole story.
“I am looking forward to throwing myself into it all like I do everything in life.”
Seann, 36, revealed that he’s keen to “change opinions” after he was pictured kissing professional dancer Katya Jones during his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ stint in 2018.
Meanwhile, Boy George and Charlene White clashed during the latest episode of the show.
The pop star called Charlene “controlling” and said she “rubbed [him] up the wrong way” as they clashed over camp roles.
He told Charlene: “You’re very strong. Listen, you’re such a beautiful contradiction because you’re like tough, and then you’ve got this beautiful side to you. But it’s challenging for me. I have to say it’s challenging for me.”
Elsewhere, Babatunde Aleshe excelled during the Horrifying Heights challenge.
The 36-year-old comedy star confronted his fears and grabbed nine stars for the camp.

Seann Walsh was ‘very scared’ to join I’m A Celebrity after Strictly Come Dancing backlash

OHMYGOSSIP — Seann Walsh was “very scared” to sign up for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ after his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ experience.
The 36-year-old comedian sparked controversy in 2018 when he was pictured kissing his married pro partner Katya Jones, which led to his breakup from Rebecca Humphries, while the dancer has since split from fellow pro Neil Jones.
Speaking before heading into the jungle, Seann said: “As you can imagine, I was very scared, after the last time I was on a big show, because the fallout was not something you would want to go back to.”
The star – who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Grace Adderley after three yars together – revealed his partner “convinced” him to take part.
He added: “Grace talked me into doing it. She convinced me it was the wrong attitude to have, not doing it, because I feared what people would think.
“It seems taht every single person that does the jungle says it’s the best experience of their life – so I’m up for that.
“I’m up for the best experience of my life. Who wouldn’t be?”
Seann – who will be entering the camp on Wednesday’s episode (09.11.22) alongside former Health Secretary Matt Hancock – admitted he is hoping to change public opinion about himself on the show.
He said: “People have voiced their feelings about me and I am hoping they will see I am very different. I want to create new memories.
“Over the years, I’ve read a lot of things about myself and, you know, it does hurt.
“I’d love for it to be a kind of new start – and just maybe change opinions. That would be really nice.”
When it comes to being in the jungle itself, Seann admitted his big fear is rats.
He explained: “I am not too pleased about rats being in there. I am not naturally a brave man – my tactic is to pretend it is not happening until we must do whatever it is.”

Good Karma Hospital axed

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Good Karma Hospital’ has been axed.
The popular Sunday night drama has been on air for four series but ITV bosses have decided the programme has “run its course” and think scenes where Dr Lydia Fonseca and Greg McConnell – who are played by Amanda Redman and Neil Morrissey respectively – tied the knot in episodes broadcast earlier this year provided a fitting end for the show.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “The show ended with a storyline which delighted viewers — marriage between two people who clearly loved each other very much.
“Plus, audience figures had been slipping of late, almost three million down from the show’s debut series, which isn’t a great sign.
“It felt like the right time to end the story.”
The news will likely come as a shock to fans because earlier this year, show creator Dan Sefton teased he had plans for a fifth series and felt the programme could continue to “grow” by introducing new characters to keep things fresh.
He said in March: “I think that’s the trick with TV, it has to be a slow evolution, new characters come, favourite characters move on.
“And if the show is strong, if the tone of the show is strong, everybody knows what it is, then it can grow with that and get better and better.
“And I think this is the case with this show, that it has potential to just to keep going, and to continue to be entertaining, because that’s the ultimate goal, really.”
A spokesperson for the network confirmed they are not planning to continue with the show.
The ITV representative said: “There are no current plans for any more series.”

Keanu Reaves ‘will play John Wick’ in Ana de Armas spin-off

OHMYGOSSIP — Keanu Reeves will reportedly play John Wick in Ana de Armas’ spin-off movie.
The 58-year-old actor is set to reprise his role in ‘Ballerina’, which is currently filming in Prague and is being directed by Len Wiseman based on Shay Hatten’s screenplay.
As reported by Collider, Reeves is on location but it’s not yet known if he is simply making a cameo or shooting a bigger role.
Meanwhile, it’s been confirmed ‘John Wick’ star Ian McShane will also reprise his role as he’ll be returning to the film series as Winston, the manager of The Continental Hotel.
In a statement, the franchise’s producer Basil Iwanyk teased: “We’re thrilled to have Ian McShane joining us for a pivotal role in Ballerina.
“He’s been such an integral part of the franchise since the original ‘John Wick.’ It’s been fun to have him on this journey as the Wick universe expands.”
Since launching in 2014, the Chad Stahelski-led ‘John Wick’ franchise has led to three additional blockbusters – including the upcoming fourth film in the saga – and two spin-offs.
In addition to ‘Ballerina’, a prequel series called ‘The Continental’ is in the pipeline, which will focus on the titular hotel and Winston’s early life.
However, it’s not known exactly where ‘Ballerina’ will fit into the timeline of the main franchise, as it could be a prequel or even fit closer to the upcoming fourth film.
When it comes to ‘John Wick 4’, Reeves will reunite with ‘The Matrix’ co-star Laurence Fishburne for the film, with McShane and Lance Reddick both returning.
The official synopsis reads: “John Wick takes on his most lethal adversaries yet in the upcoming fourth installment of the series.
“With the price on his head ever increasing, Wick takes his fight against the High Table global as he seeks out the most powerful players in the underworld, from New York to Paris to Osaka to Berlin.”

James Cameron doesn’t want complaints about Avatar: The Way of Water’s long run time

OHMYGOSSIP — James Cameron doesn’t want people to “whine” about the length of ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’.
The 68-year-old director’s highly-anticipated sequel is set for release next month and the filmmaker doesn’t think people should complain about its 3 hour and 10 minute run time because so many TV viewers are willing to binge-watch entire series in one sitting.
He told Empire magazine: “I don’t want anybody whining about length when they sit and binge-watch [television] for eight hours,” he said. “I can almost write this part of the review. ‘The agonizingly long three-hour movie…’
“It’s like, give me a f******break. I’ve watched my kids sit and do five one-hour episodes in a row.
“Here’s the big social paradigm shift that has to happen: it’s okay to get up and go pee.”
Cameron admits the franchise has been “hideously expensive” to make – with an expected budget of around $1 billion for the four sequels – but he recently insisted the upcoming film will deliver “three hours of a pretty much insane experience”.
He said: “There are a couple of things that I took out [of ‘The Way Of Water’] that I want to shoehorn into movie three, hopefully.
“These are hideously expensive movies. It was a sketchy business case before the pandemic to make a movie that cost this much.
“At this point, we just have to play it out to see what happens. But what I know right now is: we’re delivering three hours of a pretty much insane experience.”
In September, Cameron admitted he was concerned that ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ wouldn’t be relevant over a decade after the original film was released.
He said: “I was a little concerned that I had stretched the tether too far, in our fast-paced, modern world, with ‘Avatar 2’ coming in 12 years later.
“Right until we dropped the teaser trailer, and we got 148 million views in 24 hours. There’s that scarce seen but wondered at principle, which is, ‘Wow, we haven’t seen that in a long time, but I remember how cool it was back then.’ Does that play in our favour? I don’t know. I guess we’re going to find out.”

Chris Packham wants I’m A Celebrity bosses to ditch ‘medieval’ animal tasks

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Packham has called on ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ bosses to stop using animals in its Bushtucker Trials.
The ‘Autumnwatch’ presenter slammed the ITV reality show – which is currently airing nightly with contestants such as ex BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles, ‘Corrie’ star Sue Cleaver and royal ex rugby player Mike Tindall – and labelled its approach to animals “medieval”, while Ant and Dec have faced calls to resign over the issue.
Now, the 61-year-old broadcaster has told the Daily Star newspaper: “But you don’t need to abuse animals – it’s medieval. My views on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ are focussed on the way they treat animals on the programme.
“I’m very unhappy with the way they abuse animals. They stereotype them – that’s not helpful when I’m spending a good proportion of my time trying to get people to develop a deep affinity for the natural world so they will help me look after it.”
Chris branded the old “animals for entertainment” schtick “lazy thinking” and a contrast to what his naturalist work is all about.
He continued: “I don’t need them to demonising spiders, snakes, cockroaches and kangaroo testes. From my point of view, the programme needs to be reformed – kick off the animal stuff.
“We don’t expect that circus. Animals exploited for entertainment – that’s so old school, it’s embarrassing.
“It’s lazy thinking. Everything needs to evolve apart from ‘I’m A Celebrity’ by the looks of it.”
Chris believes the return to the Australian jungle – after two years filming in north Wales’ Gwrych Castle due to COVID-19 restrictions – was a chance to “restructure ” the show, which also came under fire for casting the disgraced former health secretary Matt Hancock.
He added: “I don’t know what ITV are thinking. It was an opportunity to restructure the programme. Keep it entertaining, keep the viewers – I’m sure the people at ITV have the capacity to do that – they’re the kings of light entertainment.”
In a previous statement after criticism from charity PETA, ITV said: “We are always fully transparent about our protocols and we have a very strict environmental plan in place on the show.
“As a production, we comply with all regional and national laws concerning the use of insects, animals and reptiles.
“Welfare and safety is always the primary priority on any of our programmes, and at any Bushtucker trial that features animals, we have qualified and experienced animal handlers on-site at all times.
“We inform the RSPCA NSW of all of our activities on the show and they have an open invitation to attend the site at any time. ”

Janusz Domagala felt pressure as The Great British Bake Off’s first Polish contestant

OHMYGOSSIP — Janusz Domagala felt pressure as the first ever Polish contestant on ‘The Great British Bake Off’.
The 34-year-old personal assistant has become the ninth contestant to be sent home from the Channel 4 show after failing to wow judges Dame Prue Leith, 82, and Paul Hollywood, 56, with his rendering of a Brighton Pride float during the Patisserie Week episode on Tuesday (08.11.2022).
The Signature challenge saw the contestants asked to produce six Mini Charlottes, with Janusz’s being deemed “untidy” with a “tough” sponge, while in the Technical challenge they had to whip up ‘vertical tarts’.
Janusz was a gracious loser, saying on his departure: “I am not upset, the best three bakers are left clearly. It was an amazing time, amazing people.”
In a letter shared on social media, Janusz wrote: “Bake Off was the best experience of my life. I could have only dreamed of being a semi-finalist.
“If you are even thinking about applying but you are scared that you might have what it takes please apply anyway! I felt exactly the same way and look where it got me.
“Being the first Polish contestant, I felt I had a lot to prove and I hope you enjoyed seeing me bring some Polish flare to the tent.
“[I am] sending all the love that there is.”
On the flip side, Abdul – who will join Sandro and Syabira in the final next week – was awarded with Star Baker.
The 29-year-old electronics engineer said of his victory: “I don’t know man, in the final and Star Baker as well, it’s unbelievable. This is just awesome to see because it just shows that I have been improving.”
Last week, Janusz became very Prime Ministerial in a statement on TikTok as he clarified he didn’t “know what happened” to his eight spring roll during Pastry Week’s technical challenge.
With a Downing Street backdrop, he offered his sincerest apologies about “spring roll-gate” and joked Prue might have eaten the missing item.

Britney Spears blasts idea of biopic about her life as she isn’t dead

OHMYGOSSIP — Britney Spears appears to have shut down the idea of a biopic about her life as she isn’t dead.
The ‘Toxic’ singer, 40, hit back at the concept of a biopic in a post about her turbulent family relationships after ‘Stranger Things’ actress Millie Bobby Brown, 18, said she would love to play her on screen.
Britney said: “I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life… dude I’m not dead !!!
She added in a long post on Instagram on Tuesday (08.11.22) alongside a picture of a pair of huge closed wooden doors: “Good news, good news!!! Still breathing… it’s funny the same two people who gave me life are the same exact 2 people who took it away… but guess what!!! I’m alive and I’m breathing again!!!
“Yeah I know I’ve posted too much this week on Instagram… kinda fun though!!!
“Now that I’m breathing… I have time… it’s different!!! I like it!!! I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life… dude I’m not dead!!!
“Although it’s pretty f****** clear they preferred me dead… I guess my family is going to lock their doors now!!!
“Either way… I just want to say hi and share these fabulous doors!!! I did kinda post too much this week… I’m embarrassed!!! I get it… oh well!!! Have a good day!!!”
Millie told of her dream of playing Britney on film on Monday’s (07.11.22) episode of ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’.
Drew asked the ‘Enola Holmes’ actress: “What would you like to do next?”, with Millie saying: “I wanna play a real person. I think her story, first of all, resonates with me.”
Millie added she shared Britney’s experience of “growing up in public” and said about watching the singer develop: “I see the scramble for words, and I don’t know her, but, when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way. And hers only.”
Documentaries including one on Britney’s conservatorship battle have been released, while Lifetime released its ‘Britney Ever After’ biopic in 2017.
