Boy George underwent hair transplant after going bald

OHMYGOSSIP — Boy George has revealed he underwent a hair transplant after going bald.
The Culture Club star is currently appearing on ITV reality show ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’ and during Sunday night’s (13.11.22) episode, he opened up about his new head of hair and revealed he was inspired to go under the knife by former footballer Wayne Rooney who is said to have spent around £30,000 on procedures over the years.
He made the confession after England footballer Jill Scott complimented him on his luscious locks when he removed his hat, and Boy George told her: “My hair is a transplant”.
The star added he had it done “at the hair transplant shop,” before explaining: “I was bald. Do you know what made me do it? Wayne Rooney.”
The singer went on: “Why do you think that is funny? It’s the truth. I saw Wayne Rooney’s hair and I thought I could actually get my hair done.”
Comedian Seann Walsh then joked: “It’s like you’re rebuilding yourself” and George replied: “I am Darth Vader.”
George is competing in the ITV show alongside the UK’s former Health Secretary Matt Hancock, and the singer previously admitted he struggled to see the politician in the jungle as he blames him for how the government handled the COVID-19 pandemic.
The star’s mother Dinah was seriously ill in hospital during the pandemic and he was not allowed to visit her, and George broke down in tears when he realised Hancock had joined the show.
George told co-star Scarlette Douglas: “You know, beginning of the pandemic my mum was in hospital. I wasn’t allowed to see her. I thought she was going to die.
“I was tweeting Greenwich hospital going, ‘Please look after my mum.’ I used my name, I was like, ‘Please look after my mum.’ And they did, she was fine … I feel like, I don’t want to be sitting here like I’m having fun with him.”
George went on to insist that if his mum had died in hospital, he would have quit the show as soon as Hancock arrived in camp.
He added: “It’s difficult for me because, you know, had something happened, if my mum had gone, I wouldn’t be here now. I would have gone when he walked in.”

Lupita Nyong’o: It was a gift to speak Spanish in Black Panther 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Lupita Nyong’o says getting to speak Spanish in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ was a dream come true.
The 39-year-old Kenyan-Mexican actress was born in Mexico City and admitted it was a “gift” to get to converse in her native tongue in the Marvel blockbuster.
Lupita told Entertainment Weekly: “I was so excited about it.
“It was just a straight gift. And I was very, very happy to do it… I’ve always wanted to work in Spanish and never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that that opportunity would come in ‘Black Panther’.”
She added: “Being born in Mexico and having that Mesoamerican culture represented, it’s something that’s very close to me.”
Lupita’s Nakia got to speak Spanish and other indigenous languages with the introduction of villain Namor, played by fellow Mexican Tenoch Huerta.
Speaking about 2018’s ‘Black Panther’, she added: “I always thought that was a very cool thing from the last movie that she spoke Korean, and I always thought that had never been seen before.”
Meanwhile, director Ryan Coogler has credited Jason Momoa’s Aquaman in the rival DC movie of the same name for paving the way for Namor.
The filmmaker told Uproxx: “I do think that having Aquaman out in the world, in film language, and being successful in the marketplace, I think it was a great bit of indirect guidance for us to lean into the things that made Namor different from Aquaman. Just out of respect to the audience because a lot of people saw that movie. A lot of people love that movie. It was our task to, obviously, put our heads down and blinders on and make our movie, but also have a sense of awareness of what the marketplace might want to respond to, and might be interested in. I think giving people something different, if you can give somebody something good, that’s also unique, I think it’s always better. We wanted to lean into the things that make those two characters different from each other because they have a lot of other similarities in publishing.”

Timothee Chalamet ate cherries in cannibal scenes

OHMYGOSSIP — Timothee Chalamet ate cherries and chocolate to make cannibal scenes in his new movie look realistic.
The actor stars in new horror love story ‘Bones and All’ alongside Taylor Russell and the actress has now opened up about the gory scenes in which their characters were depicted eating human flesh – revealing they were actually scoffing something much more palatable.
In an interview with Slashfilm.com, Taylor explained they were wolfing down a mixture of cherries and chocolate. She said: “On a very practical note, Luca [director Luca Guadagnino] said that we were eating corn syrup.
“But I know that I wasn’t, because I remember the incredible effects team and the team who were handling all of that sort of stuff told me that it was maraschino cherries, dark chocolate, and Fruit Roll-Ups. If that sounds good to you, cool. If it doesn’t, fair enough. But it was very sweet and [tastier] than anything else maybe you could imagine.”
The two actors play cannibalistic young lovers who embark on a road trip and they lead a starry cast which also includes Mark Rylance, Andre Holland and Chloe Sevigny.
‘Bones and All’ is based on the 2015 novel of the same name by Camille DeAngelis and it premiered at the Venice Film Festival in Italy back in September. The film was awarded the Silver Lion prize for best direction during the festival and it’s due to hit cinemas on November 23.
It’s also proving to be a potential awards season contender after Taylor was nominated for the Outstanding Lead Performance prize at the Gotham Independent Film Awards while her co-star Mark Rylance got a nod for Outstanding Supporting Performance.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Escape to the Country’ host Jonnie Irwin was told he had six months to live.
The 48-year-old father-of-three has revealed he was diagnosed with lung cancer in August 2020, which spread to his brain, and has spoken for the first time publicly about the devasting prognosis and how he’s remaining positive for his family.
The TV star knew something wasn’t right when he was filming ‘A Place in the Sun’ in Italy, where he was experiencing blurred vision while driving, and he came home to find out he was terminally ill.
He told HELLO!: “Within a week of flying back from filming, I was being given six months to live.
“I had to go home and tell my wife, who was looking after our babies, that she was on her own pretty much. That was devastating. All I could do was apologise to her. I felt so responsible.”
Jonnie – who has sons Rex, three, and two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac with his wife Jess, 40 – only has one item on his bucket list; to spend as much time making memories with his family as possible.
He said: “I owe that to Jess and our boys.
“Some people in my position have bucket lists, but I just want us to do as much as we can as a family.
“I don’t know how long I have left, but I try to stay positive and my attitude is that I’m living with cancer, not dying from it.”
Jonnie is heartbroken that his young boys will grow up without properly getting to know their father.
He added: “I set little markers – things I want to be around for. I got into the habit of saying: ‘Don’t plan ahead because I might not be well enough.’
“But now I want to make plans. I want to make memories and capture these moments with my family because the reality is, my boys are going to grow up not knowing their dad and that breaks my heart.”

“My first reaction was wow. It was absolutely surreal and I couldn’t believe what was happening.
“I’m usually very perceptive but I didn’t have a clue Ben had been planning this. How he managed to keep it a secret was amazing.”
Even Ben was blown away by how the resort staff pulled everything off.

Tony Adams ‘struggled to walk’ before quitting Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Tony Adams was reportedly struggling to walk before he quit ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 56-year-old former footballer was among the famous faces taking part in this year’s season of the hit BBC talent show, but he dramatically pulled out on Sunday night’s (13.11.22) show after landing in the dance off with his partner Katya Jones – citing an injury as the reason he couldn’t continue.
Now it’s been revealed he was reportedly in a lot of pain by the time Saturday’s (12.11.22) dances came to an end. A source told DailyMail.com: “Something was wrong, something was going on. He was struggling to walk and was holding his leg.”
A show insider added to the publication: “After finding out he would be facing the dance off, Tony had a chat with producers and stated that both he and the physio were concerned that dancing the jive again in the dance off could cause further injury and he had therefore decided he would instead withdraw from the competition.”
No more details about his injury were revealed, but Tess Daly explained on Sunday’s results show: “Due to an injury sustained on Saturday night, Tony is unable to take part in the dance-off and has decided to withdraw from the competition. This means there will be no dance off tonight and Tyler [West] and Dianne [Buswell] are through to Blackpool.”
Just before leaving the stage, Tony remarked that he had been on an “emotional journey” on the show and urged others to speak out about their mental health because he “cried for the first month” of the competition but has “learned so much” about himself. He said: “It’s been emotional guys, I cried for the first month. I came in here with one message, if you’ve got an issue with mental health then please don’t suffer in silence and reach out for help. Little did I know that I was going to learn a lot about myself in the process. I thought this ‘journey’ rubbish was nonsense, but my god the rollercoaster of emotion. I’ve got to be honest, it’s tough, physically it’s really tough out there, but dancing is really fantastic for you. Go out there and enjoy it and pick up new skills and explore. I suppose I had better mention this one [Katya] hadn’t I, she is an exceptional human being, she really is.”

AJ Odudu in ‘final talks’ to host Big Brother reboot

OHMYGOSSIP — AJ Odudu is reportedly in final talks to front the new series of ‘Big Brother’.
The reality TV show has been off-air for six years but is returning to TV next year after bosses at ITV bought the rights and decided to reboot the series with a format believed to be closer to the original social experiment which first aired in the UK on Channel 4 back in 2000.
Now AJ is said to be in the running to take over as presenter with a source telling The Sun newspaper: “AJ has been offered the Big Brother job and jumped at the opportunity. It’s a huge boost to her career.
“AJ and ITV are still ironing out details in her contract but she has told a lot of people the job is hers.”
The 34-year-old TV star previously hosted ‘Big Brother’ spin-off ‘Bit On The Side’ back in 2013 so fronting the main show will be a major step up.
The Sun reports she saw off competition from previous ‘Big Brother’ star Alison Hammond as well as actress Emily Atack and Radio 1 DJ Vick Hope to land the hosting gig.
AN ITV spokesperson told the publication: “All suggestions surrounding the host are speculation at this stage.”
‘Big Brother’ was originally hosted by Davina McCall who was the face of the show from 2000 until 2010. Former contestant Brian Dowling took over between 2011 and 2013 before Emma Willis covered the final years until it went off-air in 2018.
After starting on Channel 4, the show later switched to Channel 5 where it ended its run. The 2023 series will be its first on ITV.

Matt Hancock tipped for I’m A Celebrity exit after sixth trial

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Hancock has been tipped to be the first to leave I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!
The former Health Secretary’s arrival in the jungle has divided both viewers, fellow MPs and the other campmates and audiences at home have been brutal by voting for him to take part in every gruelling Bushtucker trial since he joined the show.
He’s now due to face his sixth sickly challenge after the results of the vote were revealed on Sunday night (13.11.22) and a new report suggests he could be the first to leave. A source told The Mirror: “Things can change quickly in camp, especially if someone was to quit, but at the moment we look all set for evictions to begin from Friday.”
The publication reports the 44-year-old MP could face the axe along with ‘Loose Women’ star Charlene White and ‘A Place In The Sun’ presenter Scarlette Douglas.
The source added: “Currently Charlene, Scarlette and Matt are the favourites to go with bookmakers. If there is a second eviction over the weekend it means there would be two chances for viewers to get Hancock out this week.
“So much has been made of him wanting to look human and how he told the group in camp that he wants our forgiveness. We will find out soon if some people forgive him and if they are willing to vote to save him and keep his jungle journey going.”
The report suggests IAC bosses are planning to air an extended 90-minute show on Friday (18.11.22) which could feature an eviction and an interview with hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

Paul Hollywood ‘engaged’ to girlfriend Melissa Spalding

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Hollywood has reportedly become engaged to his girlfriend Melissa Spalding after three years of dating.
‘The Great British bake Off’ star is said to have proposed to Melissa several months ago but they are believed to have been keeping the happy news quiet until recently, according to The Sun.
A source told The publication: “Paul proposed some months ago, but they have been keeping it very quiet since then. It’s only in the past month that she has begun wearing her engagement ring out in public, and sharing their news with friends. There are no wedding plans in place yet.”
Paul, 56, is said to have popped the question to Melissa over Easter.
The TV star was previously married for 19 years to his ex-wife Alexandra, but they divorced in 2019 and he went on to date 26-year-old Summer Monteys-Fullam. Nate Moore teases Black Panther: Wakanda Forever director’s cut

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ producer Nate Moore has teased the possibility of a director’s cut.
The producer confirmed that a number of scenes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie ended up on the cutting room floor due to the long running time and hinted that Ryan Coogler’s unseen work could be released to fans.
In an interview with Collider, Nate said: “A lot of characters have scenes that are great scenes that the movie just couldn’t bear. It’s already a relatively long movie, and we wanted to make sure the movie felt as focused as it could, while doing as much as it’s doing. But there are some deleted scenes that are really cool. I think there’s a spectrum.”
The producer continued: “There’s some from the Director’s Cut that didn’t make it forward. There’s some that we played with for a long time, and screened, and screened multiple times.
“We’re notorious for tinkering a lot in editorial and trying things. Ryan, by the way, is as well. So, things are in, things are out. ‘What about this over here?’ So, some are closer to completion, some are pretty raw.”
Moore previously confirmed that the making of a ‘Black Panther 3’ would depend on the success of the sequel.
He said: “That’s a great question. To be honest, this is not me trying to not answer the question.
“We really want to see how audiences receive the film, and I think (Ryan’s) really interested to see how the film plays before we decide.
“There are certainly ideas we’ve floated around of what a third film could be if we get to make it.
“But until the movie comes out, we’re a bit superstitious in that way. We don’t want to count our chickens, because you never know what’s going to happen.”

James Gunn and Peter Safran map out ’10-year plan’ for DC

OHMYGOSSIP — James Gunn and Peter Safran are mapping out a “10-year plan” for DC.
The pair were recently appointed as co-chairmen and CEOs of DC Studios and are responsible for the company’s film, TV and animation projects and they have now outlined they are thinking in the long-term about the studio’s approach.
Speaking at a virtual town hall with Warner Bros. Discovery chief David Zaslav on Thursday (10.11.22), James said: “The opportunity to make DC as great as it can be and as it should be – that is the reason why I’m doing this job because I know that Peter and I can do that.”
The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director continued: “We spent the past couple days with a group of some of the best thinkers in the industry, the best writers in the industry starting to map out that eight to 10-year plan of what it’s going to look like in theatre, in TV, in animation, across the board for these characters.”
Peter emphasised that DC will focus on telling a single story across a number of films in a similar approach to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The 56-year-old – who has produced superhero films such as ‘Aquaman’ and ‘Shazam!’ – said: “This was such a unique opportunity to tell one great overarching story. One beautiful big story across film, television gaming, live-action, and animation.”
Gunn, 56, is known for focusing on misfit characters in his films such as Polka-Dot Man in ‘The Suicide Squad’ but did pay homage to DC icons such as Superman.
The filmmaker said: “I love Superman, and I love Batman. I love their interaction. I love the ways in which they’re the same and the ways in which they are completely different.”

Daniel Radcliffe loved the fast pace of Weird: The Al Yankovic Story

OHMYGOSSIP — Daniel Radcliffe embraced the fast-paced nature of ‘Weird: The Al Yankovic Story’.
The 33-year-old actor portrays the parody signer in the satirical biopic and relished the fact that the movie needed to be made in 18 days.
Daniel told Collider: “Look, I love fast-moving films and things like that, so it wasn’t a problem.
“I will say the second last time I spoke to Eric (Appel, director) before we started the movie… I think he was coming on being like, ‘We’ve got 20 days to shoot it. I think we can get it done at that time. It’s going to be tight, but we’re good.’
“Then the next time I spoke to him, he was like, ‘Okay, so we’ve just gone down to 18, but I still think it can work.'”
The ‘Harry Potter’ star continued: “At that point, I was like, ‘Oh, I’m just fully having to trust you that that’s even possible because I don’t know.’
“But it was because he was prepared. It was amazing, and everyone who was in the film was on it and prepared. It’s spoiled me for other jobs in terms of what you can achieve in a short space of time.”
Evan Rachel Wood stars in the film as Madonna and she had a good feeling about the movie based on her experience on set.
The 35-year-old star explained: “You can feel it when you’re doing a film. I don’t know, at least for me, I’m sure that’s not true for everybody, but usually, you can tell on a set there’s a feeling, there’s an energy, there’s a vibe. You know it’s clicking, something’s working.
“You never know until the second you sit down and watch the movie. But we just had so much fun making it, and everybody wanted to be there, and it was such a passion project for everybody involved that it was just like, ‘How can this not be great?’ Then just seeing what Daniel was doing, I was like, ‘We’re fine’.”

Matt Hancock completes his first Bushtucker Trial

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Hancock was showered with bugs and sludge during his ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ debut.
The 44-year-old politician and comedian Seann Walsh took part in their first Bushtucker Trial, called Beastly Burrows, shortly after entering the jungle.
The duo were required to crawl through dark, muddy tunnels that were filled with insects and sludge in search of stars.
At one point, Matt asked Seann: “Which way do you want me to go?”
The comedy star replied: “I’m not a sat-nav – I don’t know!”
Despite the drama, Matt and Sean still managed to earn six stars for the camp.
Matt – who served as the health secretary during the COVID-19 pandemic – tripped up on the way into the camp and he also received a mixed reception once he arrived.
Boy George revealed that he almost lost his mum during the health crisis and that he wasn’t able to see her when she went into hospital.
He said: “Had I lost her, I would have walked out when he [Matt] came in.”
The controversial politician was subsequently voted to do the next trial, called Tentacles of Terror, by the public.
Meanwhile, Matt recently admitted to being fearful of snakes during his time in the jungle.
However, the politician suggested he wouldn’t be particularly worried about the other challenges on the show.
He said: “I have never come across a snake at close quarters and so I am pretty worried about anything to do with snakes. I am not claustrophobic, or at least I haven’t been found to be, but that’s the thing about ‘I’m a Celebrity’ – it is the unknown.”

Jenna Ortega thinks Scream 6 will ‘distract’ fans from Neve Campbell’s absence

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenna Ortega thinks ‘Scream 6’ is so action-packed fans will be distracted from Neve Campbell’s absence.
The 20-year-old actress will reprise her role as Tara Carpenter in the next instalment of the iconic slasher franchise, but Campbell won’t be returning as Sidney Prescott because she didn’t feel “valued” by the deal she was offered.
Asked how the upcoming sequel will address Sidney not being around, Ortega told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I feel like I can’t really speak too much on that just because it’s not necessarily my character, but I will say there’s so much going on in this next one, that it’s so action-heavy and so gore-heavy that I think you’re gonna be distracted almost.”
However, she noted the movie still makes “references” to Campbell’s iconic ‘final girl’ with “protectiveness” over the character.
She added: “But it’s very clear, like, there’s references to Sidney, of course.
“You know, it’s nice because there’s still a protectiveness in the script and that’s something that the actors had naturally over her because obviously we respect her, and we want the best for her. She’s missed and thought of.”
Ortega will be joined in the sixth ‘Scream’ movie by returning stars Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding, while Courteney Cox – who has appeared in the first five films – will also be back.
Reflecting on Campbell’s decision to pull out of the new movie, Barrera previously admitted she understood why she felt the need to stand her ground.
She said: “It was shocking, but also, as a woman, I get it. Especially as a woman of color, I deal with that stuff all the time where I feel like they’re not paying me what I know that I’m worth.
“But usually for me, I feel like it’s because I’m a Latina, and they don’t value us as much as white women.
“So if Neve being a white woman is feeling undervalued, that just goes to show how much of a problem it is in the industry. I applaud her sticking to what she believes in.”

Rise of the Footsoldier Ibiza ‘in the works’

OHMYGOSSIP — A seventh ‘Rise of the Footsoldier’ film is in the works.
Terry Stone, who plays Tony Tucker in the gangster film franchise, revealed filming is underway on the upcoming sixth film, ‘Tate: Days of Blood’, and confirmed there will be another instalment afterwards set in Ibiza.
He said: “Number six is being filmed right now, and we’ve got another one after that we’re doing, ‘Footsoldier Ibiza’, so it’s exciting.
“We’re working so I can’t be not excited about it.”
Stone’s latest film, gangster flick ‘The Last Heist’, sees him play thief John Waldorf.
The movie was penned by screenwriter Michael Head, from his original play, ‘Time’, which was inspired by real events.
Stone admitted the production was “stop-start” because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking to YouTube channel ‘London Beautiful Life’, he said: “It took four or five months to get it from the stage into a movie, and then it was a year to finish the movie.
“It was all in lockdown and people kept getting COVID, so they were like, ‘I can’t come into the editing suite, because I’ve got COVID.’ So it was stop-start, stop-start.”
What’s more, Head – whose forthcoming film ‘Miss the Kiss’ stars John Hannah, Martin Kemp, and Vas Blackwood – admitted the police raided the movie’s nightclub set on a number of occasions amid the pandemic.
He said: “We filmed in COVID predominantly in a nightclub, so we got raided by the police about 10 times.
“There was one time they refused to believe it was a film shoot, despite the cameras.”
‘The Last Heist’ also stars Emily Wyatt, Sam Gittins, and Rachel Warren.

ITV’s Head of Drama, Polly Hill, commented: “Joan’s story is incredible, making a success of life when the stakes seem stacked against her, by not playing by the rules.
“Anna’s scripts are brilliant and a perfect fit for ITVX and I can’t wait to see Sophie Turner step into Joan’s shoes.

“With the brilliant Richard Laxton at the helm, I cannot wait to get started.”
