Marnie Simpson struggled on Celebrity SAS after ignoring advice to ‘delay’ period

OHMYGOSSIP — Marnie Simpson struggled on ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ after ignoring advice from bosses to “delay” her period.
The ex ‘Geordie Shore’ star regrets brushing aside the suggestion she skip her time of the month before entering the star-studded edition of the Channel 4 military endurance competition as she revealed she “had no time to prepare” for it after signing on the dotted line less than a month before production began, and had no idea what she was in for.
The 32-year-old reality television star told the UK edition of Closer magazine: “I found out I was going in three week before, so I had no time to prepare at all. I wish I’d taken the show’s advice and trained.
“They also told us to take a pill to delay our period and, again, I ignored that advice, which I should not have done. That made it even more tough, being on my period, because I was emotional and I felt sluggish.”
Marnie revealed she opted to go on the show – which is hosted by ex-Royal Marine Commando Jason Fox and features fellow veterans Mark Billingham and Rudy Reyes – because she wanted to pivot her reality telly career to show a less party-centric version after becoming mother to two sons Rox, four, and Oax, two, with her partner Casey Johnson and hitting the big 3-0.
She said: “I’ve done so many reality shows that involve drinking, arguments and getting with boys in my 20s, so when I reached my 30s, I wanted to challenge myself.
“But because I’ve done all these stereotypical types of reality shows, I wasn’t prepared for ‘SAS’. It took me by surprise how tough it was. Even though I’m a massive fan of the show, I watched it thinking, ‘There’s now way this is 100 per cent real.’
“I was thinking that in between the challenges they were all getting a cup of tea and a blanket. I was so shocked.”

Alison Hammond ‘felt more comfortable’ on Great British Bake Off this time round

OHMYGOSSIP — Alison Hammond “felt more comfortable” returning to ‘Great British Bake Off’ for a second series.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter cooed it felt “so much nicer” returning to the tent of the Channel 4 baking competition the second time round – where she has reunited with fellow host Noel Fielding, 51, and judges Dame Prue Leith, 84, and Paul Hollywood, 58, for its 15th season premiering next Tuesday (24.09.24) – after replacing previous host Matt Lucas, 50.
The 49-year-old television personality told Best magazine: “It’s so much nicer coming back into the fold, it felt like a family seeing everybody and it was so nice. I felt more comfortable slipping straight back into it. We do have a laugh.”
Alison – who is one of the most booked faces in British telly – admitted she does indeed “still get nervous” before setting foot on any production but there’s still a thrill.
She said: “I still get nervous when I do anything, to be fair. I get excited anyway – that feel of just going into the tent.”
The former ‘Big Brother’ contestant – whose ‘Bake Off’ stint follows previous hosts like Sue Perkins, 54, Mel Giedroyc, 56, and Sandi Toksvig, 66 – loves to get involved with the clean-up of the Channel 4 show, which involves lots of cream, eggs and sugar to deliver the Technical, Signature and Showstopper bakes.
Alison said: “I wouldn’t say it blows my mind, but I do enjoy it. I do really love it. I like washing up in the back room.”
The National Television Award nominee puts the show’s 14-year success down to it being “happy TV” for “the whole family”.
Alison said: “It’s happy TV – it’s one of those shows that’s best described as happy TV. It transcends the whole family, it brings families together, young and old. It’s just a beautiful show.”

Kelly Brooks is ‘disappointed’ in herself before Race Across The World final leg

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Brook is “disappointed” in herself as the final leg of ‘Celebrity Race Across The World’ approaches.
The 44-year-old star and her husband Jeremy Parisi have been competing with the likes of Jeff Brazier, Kola Bokinni and Scott Mills on the BBC reality show, and while she’s proud of how they’ve done, she wishes they were in a better position before the last stint.
She said: “I think we are quite disappointed in ourselves. We feel that we are good racers, we’ve made some good decisions and we’ve also budgeted well.
“So, to be neck and neck with everybody feels a little bit like all of that has been for nothing, because we had hoped that we would advance a lot further than everyone.
“We have sacrificed a lot. We’ve sacrificed things we’ve wanted to see and Jeremy has sacrificed meals.
“Having made all those sacrifices and still having another week to go, it’s quite disheartening.”
While Jeremy is “still confident”, the former model admitted she feels “a little bit defeated”.
However, she added: “It has been way more epic than I thought it was going to be. It has been other-worldly – some of the things we have been able to see and things we have experienced.
“We will really miss the race, we will miss everybody and we will miss being a part of something incredible.”
Kelly is already keen to go back to South America with credits cards and phones, although not having them gave the couple “an element of freedom”.
She explained: “There is still an element of comfort because you’ve got the safety of being part of a production, but I’ve never felt freedom like this in any job or any other part of my life.
“Even when you go on holiday, you’re not free. You are still tied to certain home comforts. I feel wild and free.”

‘You’ve got to give us a chance’: David Harbour hits back at Marvel fan criticisms of Thunderbolts*

OHMYGOSSIP — David Harbour has pleaded with Marvel fans to give ‘Thunderbolts*’ “a chance” following the online backlash against the film.
The 49-year-old actor stars in the upcoming blockbuster opposite Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell and Lewis Pullman and has told fans who have been berating the flick online to watch it before disparaging it.
Speaking to ComicBook.com, Harbour said: ” Making a movie, you can’t really look outside for critiques because everybody, everybody sees the poster and they have an opinion. You’re like, ‘just watch the two hour movie and if you still hate it. Great. Love it? Great.’ But, like, you’ve got to give us a chance.
“I think all the speculation in the world is like my fantasies about dying or what. I mean, it’s like you can fantasise about horrific things or whatever until you actually see the thing.”
The ‘Stranger Things’ star – who will be reprising his role as the Red Guardian in the movie – insisted the flick was accurate to its comic book source material, though teased the blockbuster would include some “surprising” new elements too.
He said: “We are very comic book true, which I was pleased about.
“I think there might be some speculation of what people understand about the comics as opposed to people that have actually read the comics. I think there’s a lot of experts out there that get very annoyed at things. And if you go back and you actually look at it, you might see something different.
“I think that we’re very into that idea, and yet it is, of course, very surprising because, you know, I don’t think Red Guardian is in any of the Thunderbolts stuff. So they are adding things like they are adding and surprising you with things.
“But, you know, there’s a lot of stuff, a lot of stuff that we’ve done to make it comic accurate as well.”
Harbour emphasised he was “very proud” of his work on the picture – which is slated for release on 2 May 2025 – and added he was “excited” for fans to see what was coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
He said: “I’m very proud of this movie, what we shot. I hear it’s playing well internally and I’m excited for people to see it. I think it’s going to really surprise people.
“I think people have seen from the trailer, from the shots. I think it’s a pretty cool direction of the MCU’s sort of making now. And I’m excited to be a part of that.”

John Cena to star in Mattel’s Matchbox movie

OHMYGOSSIP — John Cena has been cast in ‘Matchbox’.
The 47-year-old actor is set to star in the upcoming live-action movie for Skydance, Apple Original Films and Mattel Films which is inspired by the toy brand’s iconic vehicle line.
The flick is due to be directed by ‘Extraction’ filmmaker Sam Hargrave, while David Coggeshall (‘The Deliverance’) and Jonathan Tropper (‘The Adam Project’) are writing the screenplay.
‘Matchbox’ will mark Mattel’s third venture into Hollywood after the company released the Margot Robbie-starring ‘Barbie’ last year, with its next project – a live-action ‘Masters of the Universe’ blockbuster – set to hit cinemas in 2026.
The former WWE star was most recently seen in Amazon MGM Studios’ ‘Jackpot!’ in which he starred opposite Awkwafina.
Despite enjoying his time making the film, the ‘F9’ actor admitted he had to take extra precautions for a scene with his co-star, and so wore a “prosthetic” nose for when Awkwafina punched him in the face.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “I really think the setup for it was fun and when she actually did it and we did the gag, it looked great and it plays well in the movie.”
The ex-wrestler advised the ‘Shangi-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ actress to simply “swing for the fences”, and revealed she did exactly that.
While finding some of the sequences in the movie difficult, Awkwafina emphasised she loved making the flick and was overjoyed to have had the opportunity to work with Cena.
She told Total Film magazine: “John was so funny on set. There were a couple of parts where John said some things where I completely lost it and then everyone lost it…”
The ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ star added she loved the ‘Jackpot!’ script, describing it as “unique”.
She shared: “When I first read the script, I thought it was different than just the usual, run-of-the-mill, 24-hour action comedies. The movie is unique and there’s real heart in it, too.”

James Nesbitt would ‘love’ to bring back Cold Feet

OHMYGOSSIP — James Nesbitt would “love” to bring back ‘Cold Feet’ for another series
The 59-year-old actor is up for reprising his breakthrough role as Adam Williams – a part he first took on in 1997 – in the beloved ITV series which also featured Helen Baxendale, 54, John Thomson, 55, and Fay Ripley, 58.
After being asked about the possibility of a return on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, he said: “I’d love to do that. It was such a big part of my life, it opened so many doors for me, people still talk to me about it on a daily basis.”
James was part of the original run in 2003 before returning with John, Fay, Hermione Norris and Robert Bathurst for a revival in 2016, which ran for four series until 2020.
He added: “It’d be good to do more of it because I think people are still interested in what the characters are doing
The show’s creator Mike Bullen previously revealed that he had written a part for Helen – whose character Rachel Bradley was killed off in the original series – but the former ‘Friends’ star did not want to return as ghost.
The 64-year-old writer told The Guardian newspaper: “She said, ‘Thanks but no thanks – it’s a crap part. She definitely made the right decision. It was just me being sentimental.”
Mike – who also broke fans’ hearts when he gave Fay’s character Jenny Gifford breast cancer – hinted the show could indeed come back after a few more years and deal with themes like “the barrel of grandparenthood”.
He added: “We feel we’ve explored to our satisfaction the issues confronting the characters at this stage of their lives and we want to give them all a little time to move on, to put clear water between the stories we’ve told thus far and the issues they’ll be exploring when they are empty nesters staring down the barrel of grandparenthood.”

Jeff Brazier admits Mother’s Day ‘knocked wind out of’ Freddy on Race Across The World

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeff Brazier admits Mother’s Day “knocked the wind out of” son Freddy on ‘Celebrity Race Across The World’.
The ‘This Morning’ star admitted that he and his 20-year-old son – who he shared with late reality star Jade Goody – struggled while filming the BBC One travel competition show when the annual celebration of mums rolled around, after his mother died in 2009 aged 27 from cervical cancer.
The 45-year-old television personality said: “The biggest challenge was missing Mother’s Day. It really brought a different perspective to the race.
“It wasn’t about what route to go. It wasn’t necessarily about what to experience either. It was just what we could do that was going to feel fitting or was going to feel enough.
“You feel a lot of pressure as a parent to come up with some kind of solution and you’re relying on Brazil a little bit, relying on places you’ve never been to before and the bus and the infrastructure. But it’s just difficult.
“The Race is difficult enough as it is and then you throw that, as a consideration, into the mix. It took Fred the rest of the leg to settle. That was a leg and a half.”
Jeff – who also had ‘EastEnders’ star Bobby Brazier, 21, with the late star – admitted their dynamic “didn’t stop shifting” as they made their way across South America and they really worked well as team trying to beat Kelly Brook, Scott Mills and others.
He explained: “Our relationship didn’t stop shifting. There was a real kind of taking ownership and responsibility on Freddy’s part. The leg where we had to deal with Mother’s Day knocked the wind out of him a little bit and then he came back and he sort of wanted to be a passenger for a little bit.
“There was a lot of ebb and flow. But I’m proud that it was at least dictated by Fred. It would have been good, in hindsight, if the whole thing was just about Freddy coming of age and making all the decisions, but sometimes he didn’t want that. The way that we worked as a team definitely ebbed and flowed.”

Archie Panjabi is joining Doctor Who as a villain

OHMYGOSSIP — Archie Panjabi has been cast as a villain in ‘Doctor Who’.
The 52-year-old Emmy Award winning actress – who has appeared in the likes of ‘The Good Wife’, ‘Bend It Like Beckham’, and ‘Under The Bridge’ – will join the iconic sci-fi series when it returns to BBC and Disney+ in 2025.
As reported by Deadline, she will appear as an antagonist for Ncuti Gatwa’s Time Lord in the new episodes.
No further details are known about Archie’s character or potential storylines as yet.
She will join the cast alongside returning star Millie Gibson (Ruby Sunday) and incoming actress Varada Sethu, who will play new companion Belinda Chandra.
Meanwhile, the upcoming festive special ‘Joy To The World’ is set to air on Christmas Day with ‘Bridgerton’ and ‘Derry Girls’ star Nicola Coughlan appearing as Joy.
Also joining the cast is ‘The Little Mermaid’ actor Jonah Hauer-King, as Millie recently teased his “interesting” role.
Speaking about her own upcoming storyline in the next series, she told Collider: “It’s the rare case where you see the companion after The Doctor. It’s never been explored before, and I think it’s such a beautiful and clever thing to do.
“Can you imagine traveling the world with The Doctor and then seeing how they cope with it after when your life just goes back to normal?
“It was the weirdest feeling. But yeah, I’m joined by the beautiful Jonah Hauer-King on her journey. He’s a very, very interesting character, and he makes the show even more magical. So, I’m very excited to see what he’s like.”
As well as the new series, BBC and Disney+ previously announced ‘Doctor Who’ spin-off ‘The War Between the Land and the Sea’.
Showrunner Russell T Davies said at the time: “I’m so lucky to work with such a magnificent cast.
“And this is a huge, muscular, thrilling drama which will shake the Whoniverse to its foundations.
“When the Doctor’s not in town, the whole of humanity is in trouble.”

Coleen Nolan praises Ruth Langsford for handling Eamonn Holmes split with ‘dignity’

OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Nolan has praised Ruth Langsford for her “dignity and pride” after her split from Eamonn Holmes.
The former ‘This Morning’ duo, both 64, announced their breakup in May after 14 years of marriage, and Ruth’s ‘Loose Women’ co-star Coleen has opened up about how her pal is handling things.
She told Woman magazine: “I will say from a friend’s point of view is, I’ve never met anyone that has handled something with so much dignity and pride.
“She’s just such a lady, more of a lady then I’ll ever be, I would’ve spilled my guts right now.”
Coleen – who has been divorce twice before herself – admitted she has tried giving Ruth some advice, but her friend has taken her own path.
She added: “I’ve given her advice but she doesn’t listen to me, I’m going, ‘How can you not say anything?’ But I don’t need to give her advice.”
Ruth is yet to publicly address the breakup since returning to ‘Loose Women’ last month.
Eamonn has moved out of the home he shared with Ruth, and over summer the GB News presenter admitted he was “not OK”.
Speaking at the TRIC Awards in June at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London – where he was nominated in the Best News Presenter category, as well as Best News Broadcast for his work on GB News – he told the Daily Mirror newspaper about the end of his 14-year marriage: “I’m not OK. This is not a good time at all.”
When asked about whether he and Ruth will continue to have a relationship of any kind, Eamonn added: “It’s too early to say but I hope we can still be friends.”
Eamonn, who suffers chronic back pain which is so severe he needed a walking aid and high-tech wheelchair for the ceremony, also admitted he feels as if he is living on “borrowed time”, as his father Leonard died at the age of 65 from a heart attack in 1991.
He added: “I wasn’t going to come but I’ve got this new chair with all these gadgets.”

‘Maybe I’ll do more’: Halle Berry is open to making more horror movies after Never Let Go

OHMYGOSSIP — Halle Berry is willing to make more horror films after ‘Never Let Go’.
The 58-year-old actress is returning to the genre after over two decades in the new picture – with her last horror project being 2003’s ‘Gothika’ – and has now revealed she would be open to starring in more scary flicks in the future.
When Bloody Disgusting asked Berry why she hadn’t looked for more projects in the genre before, she said: “I don’t know, because those are films I really do love to watch! I’m a really big psychological thriller and horror film fan. So I don’t know! Maybe I’ll do more.”
The actress stars as a mother of twins who is convinced that a mysterious evil force has engulfed the globe and attempts to protect her two boys by locking them away from the world and getting them to remain physically connected to her at all times.
Berry explained her character’s strict rules came “from a place of love” for her two sons because she knew there would be devastating consequences for them if they didn’t toe the line.
The actress explained: “She’s walking a line of toughness but what’s the opposite of that? Well, they perish. And I think if they were truly harmed, that’s unthinkable for her. So that’s where the toughness comes from. It really generates from a place of love.
“And that’s what I connected to when I had to play those tough moments, or those harsh moments. Deep down it was her sense of love for these boys that made her desperately want to protect them. And protect them from some of the hardships of what she’s had to deal with in her life.
“Like in the old world before we’re dropped into this movie. She knows better than anyone what that tough world out there can do to you.”
Reflecting on the movie, the ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ actress explained she was attracted to the projects because it felt “different” from others in the genre.
She said:”[Horror] is one of my favorite genres of movies, but this one felt different for me. There are some things that feel familiar, but you’ve never seen a Black mama with her two Black sons in the middle of the woods tied to a rope to a house, you know?
“And the generational trauma of it all! The spiritual and religious aspects of it. All of that made it new for me and something interesting in the space so that’s what made me want to dip my toe back in to the genre.”

Jennifer Lopez to star opposite Brett Goldstein in rom-com Office Romance

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein are to lead Netflix’s ‘Office Romance’.
The 55-year-old actress and the ‘Ted Lasso’ actor, 44, will star in the upcoming rom-com, while Goldstein will also write the script with Joe Kelly.
Plot details about the picture are being kept under wraps for the time being, and the project is yet to find a director.
‘Office Romance’ will mark Lopez’s third film with Netflix after she starred opposite Simu Liu in the sci-fi blockbuster ‘Atlas’ and Leslie Lluvet in action-thriller ‘The Mother’.
Jennifer’s latest film is ‘Unstoppable’, which tells the true story of Anthony Robles (Jharrel Jerome), a man born with one leg who goes on to defy all expectations by becoming a champion wrestler.
The movie was produced by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck – Lopez’s estranged husband – and is the first collaboration between the now-separated couple since their wedding in July 2022.
The pair had also briefly worked together on Affleck’s ‘Air’, which chronicles Nike’s relationship with basketball icon Michael Jordan.
The ‘Justice League’ previously heaped praise on his ex-wife, calling her contributions to the project “brilliant”.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “I started writing and working with Matt, and Jen gave me some great lines too.
“Oh my God, she’s brilliant. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the way fashion evolves through the culture as a confluence of music, sports, entertainment and dance.
“She helped me in talking about the way in which a part of the reason why Jordans [the shoes] were so meaningful is because culture and style in America is 90 per cent driven by black culture. Black culture has historically pioneered music, dance, fashion, and it’s then been stolen, appropriated, remarketed as Elvis or whatever.”
Affleck continued: “And in this case, [Nike] a white-run corporate entity, was starting to do business with African-American athletes in an identity affiliation sales thing.
“They were really taking value from what Michael Jordan represents and who he is. I don’t think the meaning can be overstated. They’re going to switch from, ‘Hey, guys, we are a nice shoe,’ to ‘If Mike has it, you want it.'”

Scott Mills wins Celebrity Race Across the World

OHMYGOSSIP — Scott Mills and his husband Sam Vaughan have won ‘Celebrity Race Across the World’.
The 51-year-old DJ and Sam overcame stiff competition from the other teams to cross the finish line in first place, and Scott subsequently reflected on the “exhilarating” experience of appearing on the BBC show.
He said: “Speechless, when you open that book, and there are no other names in it – there’s no other feeling like it.
“I can confirm it’s the best feeling ever.
“It’s been exhilarating, it’s been tough, it’s been so frustrating at times, but we’ve been there for each other, the good, the bad, the ups and downs.
“It just proves we’re a great team – a winning team.”
Scott and Sam, who works as a producer, actually began the final leg of the series in third place. But they managed to overcome their rivals in order to win the race.
Sam said: “To have a great experience and win, it’s just the best.”
Kola Bokinni and his cousin Mary Ellen Moriarty finished in second place.
Jeff Brazier and his son Freddy, and Kelly Brook and her husband Jeremy Parisi finished in third and fourth respectively.
Meanwhile, Scott and Sam previously admitted to feeling under pressure ahead of the show’s final leg.
Sam said on ‘Loose Women’: “Because we all left the checkpoint kind of within 30 minutes of each other, none of us wanted to take the pressure on what route we went. So we did a flip of the coin and left it down to the coin to decide which way we would go.”
Scott added: “Yeah, you don’t want to be the person that makes the wrong decision on the final leg – it’s too much pressure.”

Macaulay Culkin’s Home Alone experience impacted Harry Potter casting

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Columbus’ casting search for ‘Harry Potter’ as influenced by Macaulay Culkin.
The 66-year-old filmmaker – who directed ‘The Philosopher’s Stone’ and ‘Chamber of Secrets’ – has reflected on how his experiences working with the child star on ‘Home Alone’ impacted his outlook on casting Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint in the big screen adaptation’s of JK Rowling’s wizarding saga.
Speaking in Demi Lovato’s new Hulu documentary ‘Child Star’, he said: “We went from shooting ‘Home Alone’ [where] nobody cared, but in the course of a year, Macaulay Culkin became a huge star, and that was unexpected.
“It’s not like ‘Harry Potter,’ where you know that it may be extraordinarily successful…
“I came from a working-class family, and I’ve seen it a couple of times with kids when you see someone who comes from a working class family, and suddenly they’re thrown into — the kid becomes the breadwinner for the family.”
He noticed that, from the very beginning, his casting for ‘Harry Potter’ was capturing the imagination of the whole world.
He added: “You go on the street, you go into a pub, you go anywhere, and people are saying, ‘Who are you gonna cast? Who’s gonna be Harry Potter, who’s gonna be Harry Potter?’
“You take that information and you bring it back to the actor and the actor’s parents: ‘This is gonna get pretty intense.’”
He “felt a tremendous responsibility” to ensure any child cast in ‘Harry Potter’ “knew what they were getting into”, particularly as he’d seen how Culkin – who has since been outspoken about his troubled family life, including his “abusive” father – struggled with fame.
Columbus said: “Suddenly, I realised that parents had to be a big part of it.
“I can’t have [an actor] go home to a really sort of shaky environment for the sake of a film. It’s not worth it. It was as important to cast the parents as it was to cast the kids.”

Strictly Come Dancing’s official blog shutting down

OHMYGOSSIP — The official ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ blog is being shut down.
Fans of the BBC One Latin and ballroom show will no longer be able to discuss the programme or find weekly updates on the platform as the BBC is moving away from blog posting and focusing on its social media channels.
A statement read: “We understand that a community has built up over the years and some of you will find this disappointing.
“However, in line with changing audience behaviours a decision has been made to direct users to our social channels where there are active communities discussing the show on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. The Strictly blog and its comment section will soon be closing in line with other blogs across the BBC, with content no longer being published or updated.”
The show returned to screens last weekend where the celebrities were matched with their professional partners.
Just before the couples were revealed, Amy Dowden made her grand return to the show with her fellow professionals as she performed the lead in a spectacular routine.
Elsewhere on launch night, it was revealed that comedian Chris McCausland – who is the show’s first-ever blind contestant – will be dancing with Dianne Buswell, whilst ‘EastEnders’ actor Jamie Borthwick will be hitting the dancefloor with Michelle Tsiakkas.
Olympian and former ‘Gladiators’ star Montell Douglas will be competing with Johannes Radebe and Luba Mushtuk will be guiding ‘DIY SOS’ presenter Nick Knowles through the process.
Karen Hauer has been paired up with ex-footballer Paul Merson, and former ‘TOWIE’ star Pete Wicks will be dancing with Jowitza Przystal.
‘Morning Live’ presenter and TV doctor Punam Krishan has been coupled up with Gorka Márquez and ‘Love Island’ star Tasha Ghouri is with Aljaž Škorjanec.

Hockey champion Sam Quek is coupled with Nikita Kuzmin, whilst ‘Miranda’ star Sarah Hadland will be working with Vito Coppola following his star turn with last year’s winner Ellie Leach.
Opera singer Wynne Evans – who is best known to TV audiences for starring in the GoCompare adverts – has been partnered with Katya Jones, and completing the lineup is former ‘X Factor’ winner Shayne Ward and his professional partner Nancy Xu.

George Clooney and Brad Pitt took no issue having their ages mocked in Wolfs

OHMYGOSSIP — George Clooney and Brad Pitt were happy to have their ages mocked in their latest movie ‘Wolfs’.
The ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ co-stars have reunited for Jon Watts’ upcoming action-comedy and the director says Clooney, 63, and Pitt, 60, took no offence to the jokes about their ages.
The filmmaker told Entertainment Weekly: “That was one where you put it in the script and you cross your fingers and you hope that they don’t get mad.
“But no, they liked it. It was just the right amount and it was things that I think they were totally fine having some fun with.”
In the movie, a professional fixer (Clooney) is hired to cover up a high-profile crime, before a second cleaner (Pitt) arrives at the scene, forcing the two lone wolves to work together.
As the night progresses, chaos ensues for the fixers in a way neither expected.
A sequel was recently confirmed ahead of the film’s release, though it’s not known if Clooney and Pitt will reprise their roles.
Meanwhile, the pair are to return for a new ‘Ocean’s’ movie.
The Hollywood stars will return as Danny Ocean and Robert ‘Rusty’ Ryan in a new instalment of the heist franchise.
According to Deadline, film chiefs are said to be courting ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ filmmaker Edward Berger to take on directoring duties after Steven Soderbergh – who helmed the original trilogy – opted not to return.
Warner Bros. and Smokehouse have been working hard on the picture and it is thought that Matt Damon and the rest of the star-studded ensemble will be returning for the film.
Clooney revealed last year that another ‘Ocean’s’ flick could be on the way as he was in possession of a “great script”.
He told Uproxx: “We have a really good script for another ‘Ocean’s’ now, so we could end up doing another one. It’s actually a great script.”
Asked if the new movie would be titled ‘Ocean’s Fourteen’, he replied: “Well… I don’t want to call it that… I mean, the idea is kind of like ‘Going in Style’.”
The original trilogy began with ‘Ocean’s 11’ in 2001 with sequels ‘Ocean’s Twelve’ and ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’ following in 2004 and 2007.

Anne Robinson insists she’d ‘never’ get away with mean comments on The Weakest Link today

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Robinson thinks she’d “never” get away with her comments on ‘The Weakest Link’ nowadays.
The 79-year-old star – who fronted the BBC quiz show from 2000 to 2012 – became known for the harsh jibes she would often throw at contestants, but she has claimed her presenting style would have to be very different if she was still on the programme today.
She told The Oldie magazine: “You’d never be able to say all that now. Half of it would be stamped out.”
However, she argued that the contestants actually enjoyed her being rude.
She explained: “I always thought the contestants would feel short-changed if I were nice.
“When we had a rehearsal with real-life people for the first time, I realised how competitive they were. I’d say, ‘Why are you voting off Janet?’
“And they’d say, ‘Because she has Jesus sandals and quite bad BO’. And I thought, ‘Great – we can all be ourselves.’ ”
Anne became known as the Queen of Mean, but she didn’t mind the nickname thanks to her background as a journalist.
She added: “I had spent years in a newspaper newsroom where that’s the common banter.”
Anne was also known for her iconic wink, but Romesh Ranganathan – who took over as host when the show returned in 2021 – was determined to make the programme his own rather than imitating his predecessor.
Referencing his lazy eye, he previously told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “The honest truth is, let’s acknowledge the elephant in the room, I always look like I’m midway through a wink – at all times.
“I did think about it. We talked about it at the beginning but there are certain things that Anne did that were textbook her, and so I just made sure I didn’t do. You want to do it in your own way. ”
The ‘A League of Their Own’ star has ptosis in his right eye – following a major eye infection, aged three – which means he has a drooped eyelid.
