Joe Lycett to reveal ‘exclusive statement’ from David Beckham after Qatar World Cup stunt

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Lycett will air an “exclusive statement” from David Beckham on his ‘Got Your Back’ special.
The 34-year-old comedian went viral last month when he appeared to put £10,000 in a shredder in protest against the retired footballer’s £10 million World Cup deal with Qatar – where it is illegal to be gay – before revealing it was a trick and he actually donated the money.
The stunt will be covered tonight (15.12.22) on Channel 4, and Joe has revealed Beckham’s representatives have been in touch.
He tweeted: “UPDATE: David Beckham’s team have issued my programme with an exclusive statement, which will be broadcast tonight as part of my Got Your Back special at 9pm on
@channel4.
“As far as we are aware this is the only statement he or his team have given to any outlet regarding his involvement in Qatar.
“I have been advised that legally I cannot give my opinion on it, so you’ll have to make up your own minds.”
Elsewhere on ‘Joe Lycett vs David Beckham – A Got Your Back Special’, the comedian will feature some special guests, while he has praised the team behind the programme.
He continued: “We also speak to some LGBTQ+ football teams and Dr Nasser Mohamed, the first openly gay Qatari, who Beckham blocked on Instagram. We also reunite some of the cast of Footballers’ Wives lol.
“I’d like to thank the Got Your Back team and the team at Channel 4 for their extraordinary hard work on this project. (sic)”
As part of the protest, the ‘QI’ star – who donated the money to LGBTQ+ charities – later shredded an historic edition of the gay men’s magazine Attitude with David on the cover and lamented that the Premier League star was once a “great ally” for the community and he would “love to speak to him” about his actions.

Tyler Perry to write and direct Six Triple Eight

OHMYGOSSIP — Tyler Perry is to write and direct ‘Six Triple Eight’ for Netflix.
The 53-year-old filmmaker is to helm the story about the only all-black, all-female 6888th battalion in the World War II epic.
Perry is also adapting the screenplay from Kevin M. Hymel’s article about the battalion that was published in WWII History Magazine.
‘Six Triple Eight’ tells the true story of the 855 women who joined the war effort with little knowledge of their Herculean task, which was to sort through and fix the three-year backlog of undelivered mail.
Facing discrimination, unfamiliar land and a war-torn country they succeeded – in record time – in sorting more than 17 million pieces of mail. Their efforts allowed American soldiers to reconnect with their families and loved ones back home.
Little had been documented about the 6888th Postal Directory Battalion. But in March, President Joe Biden signed the bill for the women to receive the Congressional Gold Medal – the highest honour from Congress.
Tyler previously worked on the film ‘A Jazzman’s Blues’ and revealed that the project made him realise how much he loved directing.
Asked what he learned as a director on the project, he said: “It taught me that I love it.
“I’d always seen making movies as work. But the feeling that I got every day on set was that I love this. Directing, for me, was all about the necessity of just because I wanted to tell the stories. But this one made me sit in. And I was in so much joy every day.”
‘Six Triple Eight’ will be the fourth film Tyler has made for Netflix and follows on from ‘A Fall From Grace’, ‘A Madea Homecoming’ and ‘A Jazzman’s Blues’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Melissa McCarthy is to star in a new Christmas film that will be written by Richard Curtis.
The movie is a fairy-tale comedy about a workaholic man in New York who enlists the help of a magical genie to help him win his family back before Christmas.
The film is being made for Peacock and Working Title partners Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will produce with Riva Marker from Linden Productions.
Sam Boyd is directing the movie. He previously wrote and created the Anna Kendrick romantic comedy series ‘Love Life’ for HBO Max and wrote and directed ‘In a Relationship’ – the film that stars Emma Roberts, Michael Angarano and Dree Hemingway.
Melissa has just wrapped production on Jerry Seinfeld’s ‘Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story’ with Hugh Grant and Amy Schumer and is to play the villain Ursula in the live-action take on ‘The Little Mermaid’.
The 52-year-old actress starred in the comedy film ‘Bridesmaids’ as Megan Price but director Paul Feig revealed that she was a last-minute casting after a long period of auditions.
The filmmaker said: “We saw Melissa very late in the game. Every funny woman in town auditioned for this role but we couldn’t crack the role. Melissa came in and played the character completely different to the rest.
“We were literally high-fiving and celebrating when she walked out.”
Curtis has previously written hit films such as ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’, ‘Notting Hill’ and ‘Bridget Jones’s Diary’. He also directed ‘Love Actually’ which is set at Christmas.

Gemma Collins ‘didn’t recognise herself’ after Botox and fillers

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins “didn’t recognise herself” anymore after having so much Botox and fillers.
The 41-year-old reality star – who got engaged to Rami Hawash for a second time in December 2021 – admitted her own family called her out on the changes she’d made in an attempt to look more youthful, and now she’s “matured”.
Speaking to Ayda Williams on the ‘Postcards From The Edge’, podcast, she said: “I feel like I’ve matured now. I feel like a woman. I think before like being in TV, had to stay young all the time, have to stay this, have to stay that. I’m just staying me, hun. I’m not going to try.
“I went down that route of having the fillers, the Botox and all of that. I just looked at myself and I don’t even recognise myself. My mum went like ‘Gemma, what have you done to your face? Keep it real. That’s what people like about you’.
“I thought yeah, you’re right. She’d go to me ‘your face’. My dad said ‘your face don’t look right.’ and I thought my dad would never say anything like that so it must look bad. It was kind of like going back to being who I was authentically.”
Gemma also reflected on being “tested” by going through the highs and lows of relationships and breakups in the public eye, having “learnt to love herself”.
She added: “I’m not going to feel guilty about sadness. I did fall in love with myself again. I did get to know myself again. All these people that have like come and gone in my life, they weren’t there for the right reasons.
“Then all of a sudden I was so comfortable being on my own, I used to get kind of a bit bugged if people would like, ‘Oh, let’s come around and see you. Yeah, let’s do this, let’s make hundreds of plans.’ I was like, you know what? Actually I’m fine.
“Then I got to a point, I was really comfortable, happy, I was like I’ve got this, I’m chilled, I make my own decisions in my own time.”
Then, the former ‘TOWIE’ star’s dad fell ill, and Rami got in touch at a time when “for the first time” she “wasn’t obsessed with meeting someone else”.
She continued: “We used to go for like little walks and he was really good to pick my mum up shopping if I couldn’t get there. I was just like oh, this is nice. Again still wasn’t thinking, but I did start to think, damn, why didn’t I accept his proposal 10 years ago when I wanted that sort of life.
“Then I sort of went down another path and then I thought, actually, maybe this would be the right time for us. Didn’t say nothing to him, did feel a bit gutted in myself. Like oh my God, I thought maybe I’ve missed an opportunity.
“Then just out of nowhere, it all came back. When you say I’ve matured, you know, I have got better at my work and stuff like that. I think I just had to go through all this process to sort of get to this point. And now it’s good as, you know.”

Freddie Flintoff ‘lucky to be alive’ after horror Top Gear crash

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff is “lucky to be alive” after his ‘Top Gear’ crash.
The 45-year-old was airlifted to hospital following a car crash on Monday (12.12.22) while shooting an episode of the BBC programme, and now his son has given an update on his condition.
Corey, 16, told the MailOnline: “He’s OK. I’m not too sure what happened but he is lucky to be alive.
“It was a pretty nasty crash. It is shocking. We are all shocked but just hope he’s going to be OK.”
Meanwhile, a spokesman for ‘Top Gear’ has confirmed the incident is being “fully investigated” to see what went wrong.
They said: “Our primary concern is the welfare of Freddie – as well as the ‘Top Gear’ team.
“All health and safety procedures were followed on site and the incident is now being fully investigated in line with standard policy and procedure.”
The crash occurred at the show’s test track at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey, and a BBC spokesperson previously confirmed the accident.
They said earlier this week: “Freddie was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track this morning – with crew medics attending the scene immediately.
“He has been taken to hospital for further treatment and we will confirm more details in due course.”
Freddie became a presenter of ‘Top Gear’ in 2019, and the former England captain was involved in a crash shortly after joining the BBC show.
The incident happened during a drag race involving fellow presenters Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris.
He said at the time: “I go to great lengths to make sure I do well in ‘Top Gear’ drag races but, on this occasion, I went a few lengths too far. It will look more ridiculous than dangerous when you see it on TV.”

Martin Clunes learned about the death of Queen Elizabeth while living in a hut

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Clunes learned about the death of Queen Elizabeth while living in a hut.
The late monarch died in September at the age of 96 following a 70-year reign and former ‘Men Behaving Badly’ star Martin, 61, – who has 22-year-old Emily with wife Phillipa Braithwaite – was shooting his documentary series ‘Islands of the Pacific’ in Papa New Guinea with limited reception when his daughter managed to contact him to inform him of the news before he told the village.
He said: “It was mindblowing, this was the second half. I did three before but we got cut off by COVID. We went deeper, it felt like we went deeper and we were living in a village in Papa New Guinea, in the Trobriand Islands for a week. They built us huts to live in and they’ve got no Internet but the occasional bit of 3G wafts through. In the middle of the night, I got a text from my daughter to tell me that the Queen had died. It was really weird. I told the chief of our village and slowly over the next couple of days chiefs and elders from other tribes and villages came to offer their condolences and their chiefly respects. That’s influence, isn’t it? They were deeply moved by it.”
Meanwhile, Martin has said goodbye to his role as Doc Martin after almost 20 years of playing the medic in the ITV series but insisted that it was the “right time” to end the Cornish-based drama, which is due to bow out with a seasonal special airing on Christmas Day.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, he said: “It’s definitely the right time because I’d feel sad if it wasn’t, if it was taken away from us. Now we’ve done it….I saw a rough cut of the Christmas one but I haven’t seen it with the music and its special effects yet. But what happens is, everyone gets shipped down there for their bits and then they go away again so it sort of fizzled again so we didn’t have a massive [party.]”

Bill Roache and King Charles joke about workloads at Windsor Castle

OHMYGOSSIP — King Charles and Bill Roache joked about their workloads at Windsor Castle.
The ‘Coronation Street’ veteran – who holds the world record for the longest-serving actor in a continuous role, having played Ken Barlow since 1960 – received his OBE from the king on Wednesday (14.12.22) and admitted they shared a good conversation.
As quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: “Charles was lovely – very friendly. He said, ‘Not still working are you?’ I said, ‘Yes, I just had two ex-girlfriends on the show’.
“He said, ‘Oh, that must have been work’, and I said, ‘May I wish you a long and joyful reign, sir?’ And he said, ‘Thank you, that will be a lot of work too.’ ”
The 90-year-old actor – whose character Ken has found himself in a love triangle with Wendy Crozier (Roberta Kerr) and Martha Fraser (Stephanie Beacham) on the cobbles – revealed he’s a big fan of the royals.
He added: “I love the Royal Family. I met the Queen about seven times. Charles is really, really friendly and more easy going, possibly in a sense.
“But the Queen was… when she came [to visit the ‘Corrie’ set] less than a year ago she always listened, she was attentive, on the ball and didn’t miss a trick.
“And they always love the humour.”
At the same ceremony this week, TV star Matt Baker was given an MBE for his work with ‘Children In Need’.
The 44-year-old presenter revealed he and the king chatted about a herd of Hebridean sheep Matt bought off Charles – when he was Prince of Wales – during ‘Countryfile’ filming.
He said: “I told him about them because, with it being so frosty, I was feeding them this morning before I came – and they’re still going strong.
“So we had a bit of a natter about it.”

Helen Skelton: Strictly has put me back in control after my marriage ended

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Skelton says taking part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ has made her feel more “in control.”
The 39-year-old presenter called time on her marriage to rugby star Richie Myler, 32, earlier this year after almost a decade together and explained that taking part in the BBC Latin and ballroom has given her a newfound “confidence.”
She said: “I have definitely found my confidence on the dance floor. I enjoy it. It has been about being sassy and powerful and being in control. It’s a wonderfully freeing thing for anybody when they feel in control of what they’re doing. It’s about being confident in your own skin and who you are. “It’s been a wonderfully liberating thing to just be happy in your own skin and your own shoes.”
The former ‘Blue Peter’ star has reached the final of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and – along with professional partner Gorka Marquez – is due to compete against CBBC’s Molly Rainford, ‘Countryfile’ host Hamza Yassin and pop singer Fleur East for the Glitterball Trophy on Sunday (18.12.22) went on to add that feedback from her fans has “kept her going” throughout the competition and hopes that her time on the show has inspired followers to take on new challenges in life.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: “Every week we get so many messages from people who share things about their life… women, men and everything in between. That’s what has kept us going. If one person has thought, ‘I’ll take on a new challenge,’ then we’ve done our job.

Easy Rider remake producers were told not to do film

OHMYGOSSIP — The producers of the ‘Easy Rider’ remake were told not to make the film.
Maurice Fadida and Eric B. Fleischman are working on a new take on the classic 1969 movie that starred Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper and Jack Nicholson and the pair were amused by film fans imploring them not to go ahead with the project, even though they do not plan to “touch” the original flick.
In an interview with IndieWire, Fadida said: “Somebody wrote me an email that says, ‘For the love of God, don’t make this movie.’
“It’s exciting to us that people care about it and they don’t want it to be ruined and they don’t want to taint that name. But the intention is not to touch that movie.”
Fleischman added: “Some people have said this is amazing and are excited, and some people have said this is sacrilege, and I’ll let you guess the age range of those two groups of people.”
The original drug-laden movie was directed by Hopper and received two Oscar nominations for Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor for Nicholson. It is credited with showcasing the changing socio-political landscape in America at the time.
Fleischman explained that he wants the new version of ‘Easy Rider’ to have a similar impact on the modern generation.
The producer said: “‘Easy Rider’ is about an exploration of what America looks like under a microscope and the freedoms that exist in America. So in essence, if ‘Easy Rider’ was a brand, and the brand is just an exploration during the time in which you make the movie, then America is ripe right now for an exploration of what it means to be free and what does America look like.
“We want to create something that at the end of the day a younger generation can say, ‘This is my anthem.’ The same way it was for the people in their 20s and 30s and their teens when they saw it in 1969. We want the same reaction, just a different demographic.”

Naomi Ackie had to balance Whitney Houston’s highs and lows in biopic

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Ackie found it challenging to juggle the highs and lows of Whitney Houston’s life in ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’.
The 30-year-old actress is playing the iconic singer in the biopic and discussed the responsibility of balancing Whitney’s success as a musician as well as the star’s personal problems and drug use.
Naomi told The Hollywood Reporter at the biopic’s premiere: “It was a big challenge.
“It was really hard to do, but I think it does it the best way it can. To tell the truth but to protect somebody’s dignity and integrity is really important.”
The film is directed by Kasi Lemmons and is being produced by Whitney’s record producer Clive Davis and her sister-in-law Pat Houston – who also worked as the singer’s manager. Houston revealed that Davis’ involvement sold the project to her.
She explained: “Clive Davis is one of those people in Whitney’s life that she totally respected. There is nothing that he would do to embarrass her or to bring negativity.
“He loved Whitney and loved her craft and knew how special she was.”
Clive promised that the movie will show viewers a different side to the ‘I Will Always Love You’ hitmaker that they may not be aware of.
The legendary music producer said: “It will tell you about her sexuality. It will tell you about her addiction to drugs. It will tell you how she and I worked together.”
Davis stressed that the film “celebrates the music” that the pair created together.
He is played in the movie by Stanley Tucci, who had high praise for Naomi’s “staggering” portrayal of Whitney.
The star said: “I’ve worked with a lot of actors. She’s one of the best I’ve ever seen.”

Inside No9 to end next year

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Inside No9’ is ending.
The BBC Two cult comedy show – in which every episode features the number nine – will be “paused” after nine series next year, with creators Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith ready to focus on new projects.
Steve said: “We feel it is a good time to pause ‘Inside No9’ after we finish filming series nine next year.”
However, the 55-year-old comic – who also worked on ‘League of Gentlemen’ with Reece, Mark Gatiss and Jeremy Dyson – told fans it may not necessarily be the end of the programme forever so they shouldn’t rule out hope of a return one day in the future.
He added to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “We’re not saying it’s over for good.
“After all, The League Of Gentlemen came back, but we won’t be looking to make any more episodes for the time being.”
Since it began, the dark comedy has featured appearances from the likes of Sheridan Smith, Sir Derek Jacobi, Alison Steadman, the late Helen McCrory, and Keeley Hawes.
A Christmas special, called ‘The Bones Of St. Nicholas’ will air next week and features stage veteran Simon Callow and former ‘Coronation Street’ actress Shobna Gulati.
Steve previously admitted he and Reece are keen to take the show to the stage and had made some progress with the idea.
He said earlier this year: “It is definitely on the cards. We have flirted with the idea of doing a play and now we are moving into the heavy petting stage.
“I think a stage play is good because the episodes are in many ways little theatre pieces.
“They started off life in our minds as plays and there is no reason why we couldn’t transfer them.”

A Death Stranding movie adaptation confirmed

OHMYGOSSIP — A movie based on the ‘Death Stranding’ video game is on the way.
The popular action franchise’s director Hideo Kojima’s production firm has teamed up with Alex Lebovici’s Hammerstone Studios to develop and produce the movie based on the 2019 game.
It marks Kojima Productions first movie adaptation for his own company.
He said in a statement: “I couldn’t be more excited about this new partnership with Hammerstone Studios.
“This is a pivotal moment for the franchise and I’m really looking forward to collaborating with them in bringing ‘Death Stranding’ to the big screen.”
Lebovici says the pair have set out to “redefine what a video game adaptation could be” with creative freedom.
He added: “We are thrilled and honoured to have the opportunity to partner with brilliant and iconic Hideo Kojima on his first film adaptation.
“Unlike other big budget tentpole video game adaptations, this will be something far more intimate and grounded. Our goal is to redefine what a video game adaptation could be when you have creative and artistic freedom. This film will be an authentic ‘Hideo Kojima’ production.”
There is no word on casting just yet.
The game follows freelance courier Sam Porter Bridges, who is played by Hollywood actor Norman Reedus, as he “embarks on a mission to deliver hope to humanity by connecting the last survivors of a decimated America.”
The starry cast also included Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Guillermo del Toro and Margaret Qualley.
‘Death Stranding 2’ is officially in development after Kojima confirmed the news at the 2022 Video Game Awards last week.
In 2005, the legendary Japanese video game maker founded Kojima Productions under Konami, however, a decade later, the software house became independent.
Their first game was ‘Death Stranding’.

Sam Worthington not ‘debonair’ enough for James Bond

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Worthington wasn’t “debonair” enough to play James Bond.
The 46-year-old actor was a contender to play the suave spy before Daniel Craig landed the role in 2006’s ‘Casino Royale’, with producer Barbara Broccoli even personally cutting his hair to match her vision of 007 before he filmed his screen test, but he was ultimately lacking in one particular area.
He explained: “I could play Bond as a killer, but I couldn’t get the debonair down for the life of me. The suit did not fit.”
The ‘Avatar’ actor was also eyed for the title role in ‘Green Lantern’ – which ultimately went to Ryan Reynolds – but his bluntness took him out of the running.
He recalled asking: “It didn’t make much sense to me — the suit comes out of his skin
“And I was like, ‘He’s got this powerful ring that can create anything. Well, what can beat the ring?’ The answer was, ‘Nothing.’ I was like, ‘Well, something needs to beat it, or it won’t be very interesting.’”
Sam eventually landed his own franchise, playing Persueus in the ‘Clash of the Titans’ series but he struggled with the “great big spectacle” because of the focus on special effects and frequent script changes.
He told the latest issue of Variety magazine: “You can’t create a character if there’s nothing there.
“On the ‘Clash’ movies, that was the problem. You were getting new pages every day, and it’s too complicated.
“The movies that I did right after ‘Avatar’ were great big spectacles, but I should have been looking for movies that pried a little bit more into the human condition.
“I was boring myself with what I was doing. And if I’m boring myself, then I’m sure as hell going to be boring an audience.”
The actor decided to tackle the sequel, ‘Wrath of the Titans’, in a different way, but failed to tell movie bosses of his vision for his demigod character.
He said: “I looked at it as Perseus was half a god and half a dad, and he had decided that he didn’t want the god part anymore.
“So I decided to develop a dad bod and that I wouldn’t care what I looked like. Of course, that’s antithetical to what a studio wants when they pay X amount of dollars to make a movie about a chiseled hero. My arrogance clashed with the studio and the director’s vision, and it turned into a horrible fight…
“I could have handled things differently, instead of showing up on the first day with a big belly.”

Helen Skelton found her ‘confidence’ on the Strictly dancefloor

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Skelton says she “found my confidence” doing ‘Strictly Come Dancing.
Ahead of this weekend’s final of the BBC One Latin and ballroom contest, the former ‘Blue Peter’ presenter has opened up about her ‘Strictly’ journey and how she hopes the show encourages viewers to step outside their own “comfort zone”.
Speaking to press before this weekend’s grand final, she said: “I’ve definitely found my confidence on that dance floor and I enjoy it, and that’s what it was about. I think every week, we get so many messages from people who share things about their life and that’s the ultimate humbling thing.
“It’s a privilege to be in people’s living rooms on a Saturday night and it’s a privilege when they share things and if one person has thought, ‘Oh, I’m going to put myself out of my comfort zone,’ or ‘I’m going to take on something difficult,’ that we’ve done our job.”
The 39-year-old TV star described her time on ‘Strictly’ as “wonderfully freeing and liberating”.
She said: “That’s a wonderfully freeing thing for anybody when they feel in control of their own selves and what they’re doing. So I don’t think it’s about being sexy. I think it’s about being confident in your own skin and being who you are.”
She added: “It’s been a wonderfully liberating thing to just be happy in your own skin, in your own shoes and doing whatever walk you do.”
Helen is competing against Fleur East, Molly Rainford and Hamza Yasmin to lift the glitterball trophy.
Each couple will have three dances to impress the voting public and the judges – Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton du Beke – on Saturday night (17.12.22).
The final kicks off at 7.05pm on BBC One, with Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman unveiling the 2022 winner.
Last year, the show made history with the first deaf contestant, actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, taking the trophy.

Mo Gilligan won’t swap London for Hollywood

OHMYGOSSIP — Mo Gilligan won’t move to Hollywood until Americans “start adding beans to their fry-ups”.
The 34-year-old comedian recently spent some time in the US, where he met TV star Jimmy Fallon, and Mo has joked about why he won’t make a full-time switch to Hollywood.
Asked if he enjoyed his time in the US, Mo replied: “It was fun. The weather is sensational. It was, like, October and still sunny.
“It was a very weird experience. I’m very lucky to be able to do what I do and the fact I was able to go all the way out there to film a show for the BBC, which is a huge thing in itself … if this was it and it all went away tomorrow, I’d have still fulfilled a lifelong dream.
“Being on that Universal set, you feel a part of history, you know?”
Mo’s new TV show, ‘That’s My Jam’, is based off an idea from Jimmy. The stand-up comedian loved spending time with the TV veteran, who hosts ‘The Tonight Show’ in the US.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, Mo explained: “The coolest thing about meeting Jimmy was that he told me to just be myself. He told me to just do the show my way.
“I was quite lucky to come out to LA and see the first series being filmed and to film our pilot over there.
“We got to hang out and he’s got some cool celebrity friends he was name-dropping, like Keanu Reeves and Dolly Parton. We did some cool sketches together to launch the show. I really liked him, he was a down-to-earth, cool guy.”

Jenna Ortega cast in Winter Spring Summer or Fall

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenna Ortega is to star in ‘Winter Spring Summer or Fall’.
The 20-year-old actress will team up with her ‘Wednesday’ co-star Percy Hynes White in the romantic drama that is being helmed by Tiffany Paulsen in her feature directorial debut.
The picture follows two teenagers (Ortega and Hynes White) on the cusp of adulthood as they meet and fall in love on four significant days of the year.
The script has been written by Dan Schoffer with revisions by Paulsen and will be produced by MPCA’s Brad Krevoy, together with Josh Shader and David Wulf.
Paulsen has previous in the genre after writing the romantic films ‘Holidate’ and ‘About Fate’.
In a statement, Krevoy said: “We’re excited to be further diversifying MPCA’s robust slate with ‘Winter Spring Summer or Fall’.
“Jenna is enormously talented as an actor and producer, and we know both she and Percy will bring heartfelt depth to their roles and that, along with Tiffany’s experience with character and her vision for the film, will only enhance the brilliant script from Dan.”
Ortega stars as Wednesday Addams in the Netflix series ‘Wednesday’ and admits she can see similarities between her real-life self and her alter ego.
She said: “People have been telling me I look like her since I was six years old. And I have a pretty dark sense of humour!”
Despite this, Jenna needed to make some adjustments in order to play the role.
The ‘Scream’ star told PEOPLE: “I had to do things a bit different with my physicality and the way I carried myself.
“She almost has a social awkwardness. So when she does toxic, manipulative things, you know it’s not coming out of malicious intent.”
