Katherine Kelly almost quit acting after suffering a freak accident

OHMYGOSSIP — Katherine Kelly once suffered a freak accident that almost ended her career.
The 43-year-old actress – who played diamond-in-the-rough Becky Granger on ‘Coronation Street’ from 2006 until 2012 but has since gone on to starring roles in dramas such as ‘Gentleman Jack’ and ‘Cheat’ – revealed that when she was 19 she hit her coccyx on a table while staying at a friend’s house and thought nothing more of it until she was left unable to get out of bed on a camping holiday.
She said: “I couldn’t get out of the sleeping bag. I’d forgotten the previous incident. I couldn’t get out of bed. My flatmate would have to lift me out of bed. I went to the GP and got sent to a physio. Back at home, I went to an osteopath. That seemed to work for a while but then became problematic. My mum would post her migraine tablets down to me. I was in massive pain. I would time taking the tablets with physical lessons. I’m going from physio to osteopath. Everyone I saw said it was something different. I couldn’t predict when it would hit. It was almost like I was lying, as one day I was in pain and the next I wasn’t. I knew I’d have to leave drama school.”
The NTA winner went on to add that the condition had gone “untreated” for 18 months and the base of her spine had been left “twisted” but she eventually found a physiotherapist called Kevin Ludlow who helped her and she has not had any more issues for a decade.
Speaking on the ‘Three Little Words’ podcast, she added: “To be in that pain every single day and not be able to walk… It was nerve damage. What made it worse was it had gone untreated for 18 months. The base of my spine had twisted to compensate because I’d been taking so many painkillers. He believed in rehab exercises. Long-term, he said I’d have to do yoga or pilates and he was right.
I haven’t had any problems for 10 years now.”

James May reveals ‘selfish’ reason he bought a pub

OHMYGOSSIP — James May saved his local pub from closure.
The 59-year-old TV presenter – who has been married to writer Sarah Frater since 2000 – decided to purchase The Royal Oak Swallowcliffe near Shaftesbury because it is within walking distance of his holiday cottage and he couldn’t bear to see it closed.
He said: “The rural boozer is a focal point of local life, fulfilling an important social and even commercial role in the village. Pepper this sentiment with “community”, “tradition” and “important part of our heritage”, and everyone can feel warm and reassured while tucking into a three-for-two beer deal from Tesco and a Deliveroo Chinese.
“The reality is entirely selfish. The Royal Oak Swallowcliffe (just off the A30 between Salisbury and Shaftesbury, offering a hearty welcome, an extensive menu and a fine choice of wines, beers and spirits, with agreeable rooms and superb walking and cycling opportunities; 01747 870211) is the only pub within walking distance of our hobbity weekend cottage. If it closed, as was threatened, country living would cease to have any meaning and our time there would be consumed entirely in tending to the wood-burning stove, our television.”
The former ‘Top Gear’ star went on to add that he and his wife are regulars at the country pub and admitted that he is “no businessman” and he has learned that running a bar is “very hard work.”
Writing in his column for The Sunday Times, he added: “I am no businessman and have already been fired in absentia by Lord Sugar. I know nothing about running a pub beyond what I learnt doing bar and waiting shifts as a youth; viz, that it’s very hard work, potentially unhealthy and that the margins are always tight. But … a pub!”

Martine McCutcheon ‘cannot bear’ to watch herself in Love Actually

OHMYGOSSIP — Martine McCutcheon “cannot bear” to watch herself in ‘Love Actually.’
The 43-year-old actress starred opposite Hugh Grant in the 2003 romcom following a successful stint in BBC soap opera ‘EastEnders’ – which focuses on a series of couples in the political world during the build-up to Christmas – but cannot watch the festive classic anymore and remembers squirming in her seat at the premiere as she saw herself on the big screen.
She said: “Whenever ‘Love Actually’ comes on, my mum goes ‘Babe! You’re on!’ and I’m like ‘Mum, when are you going to get that I can’t bear to watch myself back on TV?’ When we were at the premiere, most of us were squirming in our seats. We were in our frocks and suits and going ‘Oh God!’ at this huge screen. It’s the mannerisms you pull and the expressions you make and there’s this massive screen with your face!”
However, the former West End star did admit that the film – which was written by ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ creator Richard Curtis – “changed her life” because the offer came through shortly after she had quit the industry and gone to Spain to visit a friend.
She told The Sunday Mirror’s Notebook magazine: “I had paparazzi running after me. I was only 23 and I lived on my own – it was scary. I just thought ‘I love what I do but I don’t love what comes with it. So I called my agent and gave up the industry. I remember thinking, ‘If I’m meant to stay in it I’ll get a big sign.’ I went to Spain and slept for three days straight. [Then I got the call and] He said, ‘Richard Curtis has called and he wants you to star opposite Hugh Grant in a film called Love Actually and it starts next week – can you fly back?
“I literally dropped the phone. That film completely changed my life because I wouldn’t have been in the industry any more. When I first saw ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’, it was my absolute dream to work with Hugh Grant and Richard Curtis – I fell in love with the writing and I fell in love with Hugh.”

Strictly stars to reunite to ‘co-host Countryfile together’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ co-stars Helen Skelton and Hamza Yassin are reportedly set to host ‘Countryfile’ together.
Hamza won the 2022 series of the BBC talent contest with Helen coming in among the runners-up and now The Sun newspaper reports they will reunite to present ‘Countryfile’ side-by-side after previously making appearances on the series separately.
A source told the publication: “It’s a huge opportunity for Hamza and Helen as ‘Countryfile”s ratings eclipse most soap operas.”
However, the paper reports that the pair are also likely to be offered their own solo projects with the BBC.
The inside added: “Hamza is set to front his own nature show, while Helen is expected to get her own vehicle based around her adventurous and bubbly personality.”
Hamza, 32, and his professional partner Jowita Przystał were crowned winners of ‘Strictly’ over the weekend. The TV presenter became visibly emotional after being named as victor and said: “Words can’t describe how I feel. Jowita, you are an angel disguised as a human being.”
Jowita, 28, was also full of praise for her partner, hailing Hamza as proof that “anything is possible”. She said: “I think anything is possible. He’s just proof that anything is possible. “He came here on the show with no dancing experience, with pigeon toes and he worked hard, and he made it. “I would love to thank everybody, you are amazing.”

James Cameron admits there was ‘tension’ over three-hour Avatar sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — James Cameron had to fight to keep the three-hour run time for his movie ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’.
The Hollywood director’s sequel to his 2009 film ‘Avatar’ finally hit cinemas this month and audiences have been treated to a whopping three hours and 12 minutes of big screen action – and the moviemaker has now admitted there was “tension” with the studio over the film’s length.
He told Entertainment Weekly: “I think there was a lot of tension around length. And because it’s a complicated linear narrative, which is the worst scenario for trying to shorten, you’ve got a complex story servicing a lot of characters, and it’s like dominos falling: This has to happen for that to happen. You’re not following a bunch of parallel plot lines in a way that you could take a lot out.”
Cameron went on to insist it would have been very difficult to edit the film down. He added: “The hardest thing when you’re trying to shorten a film is to hold onto the things that don’t advance the plot, that are beautiful or scary or suspenseful for their own sake. Things came out, and then if I felt the pacing was off, we put things back in.”
The director insisted the length shouldn’t matter as long as the audience is enjoying the film, saying: “Equally important with length is pace – and the order of information and the engagement factor. As long as people are engaged, you’re good to go.”
During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cameron was asked when audience members should take a bathroom break during the three-hour epic and he replied: “Anytime they want.”
Cameron added: “They can see the scene they missed when they come to see it again.”

Salma Hayek’s Magic Mike’s Last Dance lap dance was ‘very physically challenging’

OHMYGOSSIP — Salma Hayek’s lap dance in ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’ was “very physically challenging”.
The 56-year-old actress, who stepped in to replace Thandiwe Newton as the female lead in the upcoming male stripper flick, admitted the routine was so “complicated”.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “It’s very physically challenging.
“My goodness. You just wait to see. It’s just complicated.”
When she was not dancing herself, Salma got to watch “12 semi-naked dancing and doing pirouettes”.
Speaking to Antonio Banderas, she said: “I play a strong woman.
“You know what was my day going into the office? I would just sit around and watch, like, 12 men, semi-naked dancing and doing pirouettes. And I got to boss them around.”
Her ‘Puss in Boots’ co-star said he should have got a role in the flick and laughed: “Poor girl.”
Salma said: “He would have. He would have shamed them.
“He’s a really good dancer, Antonio.”
Thandiwe made the “difficult decision” to step away from the film – which will see Channing Tatum reprise his role as Mike Lane – to “deal with family matters”.
A Warner Bros. spokesperson told Variety: “Thandiwe Newton has made the difficult decision to step away from the production of Warner Bros. Pictures’ ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’ to deal with family matters.”
Channing, 42, recently teased that ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’ will be “wild.”
He said: “We’re gonna go big. I mean truly, we’re not gonna leave anything on the bench.
“We’re taking it out, we’re putting it on stage, it’s gonna be wild.
“I was like, ‘Why are we going to make a third one if not just go really, really, really for the stars?’ ”
The ‘Lost City’ star admitted returning to the stripper franchise – which since its debut in 2012 has gone on to spawn a stage musical and a reality television series – has been “fun”, because the project is so familiar.
He said: “It’s been fun reuniting with the crew. [‘Magic Mike’] is kind of like home.”

Martin Compston’s ‘most emotionally challenging job’ revealed

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Compston’s upcoming drama ‘Mayflies’ was the “most emotionally challenging job” of his career so far.
The 38-year-old actor – who is known for his role as Detective Inspector Steve Arnott in the hit BBC One drama ‘Line of Duty’ – stars as Jimmy in the new adaptation of the Andrew O’Hagan novel and the role really affected him.
He teased: “It’s a drama based around relationships and friendships. The main characters are two old friends who have been best pals for decades and one of them gets life-changing news. He plans to act on that news and enlists the help of his best friend.”
He added to RadioTimes.com: “It’s set across two timelines and is by far the most emotionally challenging job I’ve ever done.”
‘Outlaw King’ actor Tony Curran and ‘Extras’ star Ashley Jensen portray Tully and Anna, respectively.
The story follows Jimmy (Compston) and Tully (Curran) as they ignite a friendship over their love of arts, but their longstanding friendship will be put to the test after the pair receive some devastating news.
Screenwriter Andrea Gibb said: “Adapting Andrew O’Hagan’s magnificent novel has been one of the highlights of my career. Andrew tells his story of enduring male friendship with love, truth, tenderness, and searing humanity. There’s not an ounce of sentimentality. It’s very funny and deeply moving. The characters of Tully and Jimmy are instantly recognisable and totally unforgettable. Both are so alive and vibrant that they leap off the page. It’s been a joy and a privilege living with them.”
Filming for the two-part drama began in Martin’s native Scotland in Autumn.
‘Mayflies’ airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 9pm on December 28 and 29.

Judi Love: The Loose Women team are all good pals

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Loose Women’ team are all good pals off-screen, according to Judi Love.
The 42-year-old comedian became a panellist on the ITV show in 2020, and Judi has developed a close relationship with some of her co-stars.
She shared: “There’s quite a few I speak to – Nadia [Sawalha], Charlene [White], Kaye [Adams], and Brenda [Edwards]. I’m really tight with Brenda.
“To be able to work with those women with all their amazing skills, experience and knowledge, it’s a great team.
“We will be having our ‘Loose Women’ Christmas night out and I’m sure you’ll know about it because we’ll be so loose on the street everyone will be like, ‘There’s the girls!’
“It’s been too quiet – when we all get together it’s going to be great. I haven’t seen Christine Lampard in a long time so can’t wait to see her.”
Brenda, 53, is preparing for her first Christmas since the death of her son Jamal.
The entrepreneur died in February, aged 31, and Judi is determined to support her friend over the Christmas period.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: “I’m going to support in the way that a friend does and just be there for her.
“Christmas is about quality time with my children and close friends and family, making sure I see them.
“We become so busy and can be consumed – you’re worried with so many things going on. It’s about being still and having that time with my loved ones.”
Judi will also make a concerted effort to avoid any possible distractions over Christmas.
She explained: “I will turn my phone off and be off social media for a little bit as it’s really important.
“I try not to be too consumed by the news. I know my boundaries and how much I can watch.”

Rian Johnson would be ‘sad’ if he can’t complete Star Wars trilogy

OHMYGOSSIP — Rian Johnson would be “sad” if he is unable to complete his ‘Star Wars’ trilogy.
The 48-year-old director helmed the sequel trilogy blockbuster ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ and is still holding out hope of making a new trilogy of movies that differ from the main story arc of the long-running sci-fi franchise.
Johnson divided ‘Star Wars’ fans with ‘The Last Jedi’ and acknowledged that it “wouldn’t be the end of the world” if he didn’t return to the series.
Rian told Insider: “It wouldn’t be the end of the world for anyone, I think.
“But I would be sad. I love the world. I love the people. I love ‘Star Wars’ fans. I love the passion of how they engage in it.”
The ‘Glass Onion’ director continued: “There’s nothing like telling a story in this world and then experiencing people truly connecting to it and letting you know that. It’s extraordinary. So I’m hoping I get to do it again, but nothing is the end of the world until the end of the world actually happens, which, what day of the week is it?”
Rian confirmed earlier this year that he had held talks with Lucasfilm producer Kathleen Kennedy about moving forward with his trilogy, five years on from the release of ‘The Last Jedi’.
He said: “It’s just at this point a matter of schedule and when it can happen. It would break my heart if I were finished, if I couldn’t get back in that sandbox at some point.”
Johnson also expressed pride in his efforts on ‘The Last Jedi’ even if the ‘Star Wars’ fanbase were not universally impressed with the flick.
He said: “When I was up at bat, I really swung at the ball.”

Prue Leith is ‘really sad’ to see Matt Lucas leave Great British Bake Off

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Prue Leith is “really sad” Matt Lucas quit ‘The Great British Bake Off’.
The 82-year-old star – who serves as a judge alongside Paul Hollywood on the Channel 4 baking competition – admitted she “understands” his decision to step back and focus on other projects, but she’s still disappointed.
Appearing on BBC’s The One Show’, she said: “I’m really sad because I love the guy. He’s such fun and he got on so well with Noel [Fielding].
“They were just brilliant. But I do understand why.
“If [you’re] close to Matt, you do know that he never stops working and he has so many projects and people keep asking him to do things and he loves theatre… he absolutely loves that kind of show.”
She pointed out that trying to focus on commitments like that is too difficult when you’re tied down to ‘Bake Off’.
She explained: “And you can’t commit to it if you’re on Bake Off, because we film that all summer. So I think he thought three years is enough. But I think he loved it and we’re really sorry.”
Her comments come after the ‘Little Britain’ star revealed earlier this month he is leaving the series after three years alongside co-host Noel, noting he couldn’t keep up with other projects while also fronting both ‘Bake Off’ and ‘Fantasy Football League’.
He said in a statement: “Farewell Bake Off! It’s been a delicious experience and I can’t imagine a more fun way of spending my summers. But it’s become clear to me that I can’t present both ‘Fantasy Football League’ and ‘Bake Off’ alongside all my other projects.
“So, after three series and 51 episodes, I am cheerfully passing the baguette on to someone else.
“I would like to give my warmest thanks and gratitude to everyone at Love Productions and Channel 4 and to Noelipops, Paul Hollywood, Dame Prue Leith, the crew and, of course, the wonderful bakers for welcoming me into the tent.
“I wish whoever takes over the very best and I can’t wait to tune into the next series without already knowing who won!”

Henry Cavill isn’t returning as Superman with James Gunn revealing new plans

OHMYGOSSIP — Henry Cavill is no longer returning as Superman.
The 39-year-old actor revealed the “sad news” on Wednesday (14.12.22) after a meeting with new DC Studios co-chairmen and CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran, and he admitted making the announcement “isn’t the easiest” thing to do.
In a statement shared on Instagram, he said: “I have just had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it’s sad news, everyone. I will, after all, not be returning as Superman.
“After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October, prior to their hire, this news isn’t the easiest, but that’s life.
“The changing of the guard is something that happens, I respect that. James and Peter have a universe to build.
“I wish them and all involved with the new universe the best of luck, and the happiest of fortunes.”
Cavill – who had reprised his ‘Man of Steel’ role in a cameo appearance in ‘Black Adam’ – urged his fans not to forget that “Superman is still around”, even if he’s hanging up the iconic cape once more.
He continued: “For those who have been by my side through the years…. we can mourn for a bit, but then we must remember…. Superman is still around.
“Everything he stands for still exists, and the examples he sets for us are still there! My turn to wear the cape has passed, but what Superman stands for never will.
“It’s been a fun ride with you all, onwards and upwards.”
Filmmaker James Gunn took to Twitter to address the news, and explained that the “initial stages” of the studio’s new plans for Superman include looking at “an earlier part” of his life.
He explained: “Peter [and] I have a DC slate ready to go, which we couldn’t be more over-the-moon about; we’ll be able to share some exciting information about our first projects at the beginning of the new year.
“Among those on the slate is Superman. In the initial stages, our story will be focusing on an earlier part of Superman’s life, so the character will not be played by Henry Cavill.
“But we just had a great meeting with Henry and we’re big fans and we talked about a number of exciting possibilities to work together in the future.”
He confirmed he’s writing a new movie, with no director attached yet, while the project won’t be an origin story.

Margot Robbie: Barbie film is everything you’ve ever dreamed of

OHMYGOSSIP — Margot Robbie says the live-action ‘Barbie’ is “everything you’ve ever dreamed of”.
The 32-year-old actress plays the real-life version of the iconic Mattel doll in the eagerly-awaited flick alongside Ryan Gosling as Ken, and she has teased that fans are in for a treat.
Margot’s production company LuckyChap Entertainment secured the rights to the story for the film, and she admitted director Greta Gerwig was her first choice to helm the project.
Speaking to Carey Mulligan for Variety, Margot said: “I’ve been working on it for about four or five years now — it’s a LuckyChap project. And we went after Greta [Gerwig]. There were maybe three people that we would want to make a ‘Barbie’ movie with, and I was like, if she says no …. So thank God she said yes. She’s just brilliant.”
Carey then asked: “Do you make giant Barbie houses in the film?
Margot replied: “The dream houses? You’ll see some dream houses. And it will be everything you ever dreamed of.”
Greta recently admitted she was worried the movie could end her career.
The ‘Little Women’ filmmaker was keen to work with Margot but feared it was a terrible mistake.
Speaking to Dua Lipa on her ‘At Your Service’ podcast, the 39-year-old said: “It was something that was exciting because it was terrifying. I think that was a big part of it, like: ‘Oh, no, Barbie.’
“It felt like vertigo, starting to write it, like: ‘Where do you even begin, and what would be the story?’ And I think it was that feeling I had was knowing that it would be really interesting terror. Usually that’s where the best stuff is, where you’re like, ‘I am terrified of that.’ Anything where you’re like, ‘This could be a career-ender’ — then you’re like, ‘I should probably do it.’”
Greta first joined the project to work on the script with Noah Baumbach before taking on directorial duties.
And Margot insists people will be taken by surprise by the film.
She previously said: “Something like ‘Barbie’ where the IP, the name itself, people immediately have an idea of, ‘Oh, Margot is playing Barbie, I know what that is,’ but our goal is to be like, ‘Whatever you’re thinking, we’re going to give you something totally different — the thing you didn’t know you wanted.'”

Louise Thompson diagnosed with incurable disease

OHMYGOSSIP — Louise Thompson has been diagnosed with incurable Lupus.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star – who has been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) since the birth of her and her fiance Ryan Libbey’s son Leo in November – has been struggling with “intolerable joint pain” and found out she has yet another illness to contend with; the autoimmune disease that occurs when your body’s immune system attacks your own tissues and organs.
She told fans on her Instagram Story this week: “I had a call yesterday with one of the rheumatology guys and they got more of my blood test results back and the diagnosis is that I’ve got drug-induced lupus. So I’m suffering from that, which is fabulous.”
She continued: “I feel like I’m constantly navigating so many different things and I could just cry, it all just feels so heavy.”
“I was just on the bus going to one appointment this morning and when I stood up and started walking to the appointment, my knees were in such agony. I’ve never experienced anything like it in my life.”
Louise and her partner Ryan are fitness fanatics and help fans with their fitness and strength building via Live Like Louise, offering workout plans and transformation packages, which makes it even more of a blow for the 32-year-old TV personality.
She added: “I’ve always been so able bodied and so active, exercise has been such a big part of my life and it’s just so rough having to adapt to all of these new medical conditions, so that’s been really tough.”
Back in September, Louise was told she may have the rare condition Asherman’s syndrome, where adhesions build up inside a person’s uterus, following a private scan.
She wrote on her Instagram Stories: “Harley Street clinic is iconic. Just had my appointment with the kindest and most trustworthy obs/gyne…it’s likely that I have adhesions inside my uterus causing something called Asherman’s Syndrome.
“A hysteroscopy would offer a better look inside the cavity than an ultrasound but because I might need to start thinking immunosuppressants, having non essential surgery isn’t really an option.
“The main impacts of Asherman’s are: painful cramping and fertility problems. (sic)”
Louise had earlier revealed to fans she had decided to go private for a scan on her pelvis because her last ultrasound was “inconclusive”, and she would’ve had to wait “months longer” for a follow-up appointment on the NHS.
Louise heartbreakingly admitted she was “haunted” by the fear she would not be “strong enough” to throw her son a first birthday party in November.

She wrote on Instagram: “Absolutely delighted to share that I’m joining the lead cast of @peterjamesuk’s Wish You Were Dead national tour, making my professional stage play debut as Cleo”(sic)
The ex-‘Waterloo Road’ star went on to explain that she will be sharing the part with former ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! winner Giovanna Fletcher and will be joined in the cast by the likes of ‘Casualty’ actors George Rainsford and Clive Mantle as the show visits some of the most “iconic” theatres in the UK over the course of spring 2023.

Samantha Womack backs nurses’ strike after cancer treatment

OHMYGOSSIP — Samantha Womack would back the current nurses’ strike even if it impacted her own treatment.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actress revealed earlier this month she is breast cancer free after getting diagnosed over the summer, and now she has voiced her support for medical staff taking action over a pay dispute with the government.
Appearing on Thursday’s episode (15.12.22) of ITV show ‘Good Morning Britain’, she said: “At the moment, I haven’t had any appointments disrupted but I have to say, I am a huge advocate of the work that nurses do.
“They’ve looked after me so fantastically, and I really do feel that they should be paid appropriately.
“Even at the cost of my own treatment being disrupted, I feel like they have to fight back. They’re doing such an incredible job and not being treated fairly.”
The 50-year-old star explained how she was diagnosed after going for a “random check”, which led to “further appointments”.
She shared: “I was just having a random check, I was just doing a well-woman check and in between two shows I popped in to have an ultrasound, just a scan.
“In between shows, I saw a nasty kind of gremlin-type shadow and then had to book further appointments, and I went back on stage that evening with my head a little bit in the clouds.”
And she urged the public to make sure they are self checking for breast cancer, to make sure any issues are found in time for treatment.
She said: “I never check myself, I’ve just been so strong all of my life so I was really fortunate that I just happened to do that when I did.
“Certainly, the term cancer-free is a little bit misleading.
“Luckily I’ve got it gone for now but with cancer, you have to be careful that you’re keeping on top of everything and keep checking yourself.”
‘Good Morning Britain’ airs weekdays from 6am on both ITV1 and ITVX.

Georgia Harrison says ‘shame’ of telling dad about leaked sex tape will never leave

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia Harrison was “crippled by shame” after telling her father about her leaked sex tape.
The former ‘Love Island’ star was secretly filmed having sex with Stephen Bear – who was found guilty this week of voyeurism and disclosing private, sexual photographs and film – in 2020, and her “ability to trust” hasn’t been the same after the footage was shared on OnlyFans.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: “I was crippled by shame and embarrassment when the video was leaked. I was used in such a terrible way. It decimated my self-worth and my ability to trust.
“When I first realised the video was out there for everyone to see, my first thought was, ‘How am I going to tell my dad?’
“Imagine how embarrassing it is for my dad knowing that all of his friends are aware that there is this really explicit video of his daughter out there.”
The 28-year-old star also discussed the impact the leak has had on her family, with someone “accidentally” sending the video to her uncle.
She added: “A boy even accidentally sent it to my uncle without realising we were related. I have little brothers and sisters who were all in school at the time.
“They have had to deal with people bringing it up with them, calling me names. People were trying to forward it on social media to them.
“It has really affected their lives as well – it wasn’t just mine that was ruined.”
Georgia – who was living in Dubai at the time – recalled feeling “ill through the stress”, and she was “sobbing herself to sleep at night”.
She said: “Everyone I knew was talking about it. I walked into the gym and it fell silent. I asked who had seen it and all of these people put up their hands.
“By this time I realised it was out of my control and there was no way I could stop this video from spreading. That is when I spoke out on Instagram and called the police.
“Everyone had seen it, my family, my friends, people I had worked with. Total strangers around the world had seen this video of me. I was trying to live a normal life and go out but I would end up sobbing myself to sleep at night.”
Bear and Georgia were captured on CCTV footage in his garden in Essex in August 2020.
Bear – who had denied the charges – has been bailed until January 31st, when he will return to the court for sentencing.
Following the verdicts, he said: “In my opinion from the very beginning it was never a fair trial, what the press said against me. I was fighting a losing battle and it is what it is.”
Judge Christopher Morgan said: “Thank you for that observation.”
