Taika Waititi’s Next Goal Wins is delayed by months

OHMYGOSSIP — Taika Waititi’s ‘Next Goal Wins’ has been delayed by five months.
The 47-year-old director has helmed the big-screen adaptation of the documentary about the American Samoa football team, which was originally slated for release on April 21, but will now hit cinemas on September 22.
The Hollywood Reporter reported the news from studio Searchlight, but there’s no explanation as to why it’s been held back.
There had already been some reshooting after Armie Hammer’s part was offered up to Will Arnett amid his sexual misconduct scandal.
It’s a very personal film for Taika, as he was able to relate to his upbringing in Polynesia.
He said in a recent interview: “It’s the ultimate underdog story.
“It taking place in Polynesia is very important to me, because it’s my people. We stick together. It was like seeing myself up there, seeing my family up there, when I saw that documentary, which is so perfect in many ways.
“And to have broader audiences have access to that story was one of my main goals. To bring our backyard to people, and to put brown faces on screen was a big deal for me. I just loved it.”
Taika explained that he embraced the contrast of working on the sports film, which stars Michael Fassbender and Elisabeth Moss, to directing ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ and ‘Jojo Rabbit’.
He said: “It was a great antidote to doing ‘Thor’ and ‘Jojo Rabbit’. Not that there’s anything negative about doing those other films, but I just missed him so much.”
He also confirmed that he would be bringing his own twist to the story that follows American Samoa’s attempts to qualify for the 2014 World Cup.
The ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ helmer said: “If you love films that are really authentic to the true stories, then you’re gonna hate this movie.
“I mean, just watch the documentary if you want to see exactly what happened. We go a bit deeper with these characters. The way that everything unfolded is the same.”

Strictly pros Giovanni Pernice and Jowita Pryzstal are dating

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professionals Giovanni Pernice and Jowita Pryzstal have been secretly dating.
Not only did the Polish dancer walk away with this year’s glitterball trophy with celebrity partner Hamza Yassin, but she’s also bagged herself a new beau in the Italian hunk.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “She and Gio are the worst kept secret, but make a great couple.”
The pair struggled to hide their affection and were often caught catching a kiss backstage.
A source said: “While they both kept insisting they were single, the pair’s chemistry was ridiculous — and they kept getting busted snogging in corridors.
“Crew even saw them kissing in the production office.
“They make a great couple though, and have been pretty inseparable in the last few weeks.
“Jowita, especially, wanted to keep things quiet so she could keep focused with Hamza, and not distract from the competition.
“Giovanni invited Jowita as his date to [Chelsea footballer] Jorghino’s birthday bash at Grappelli, an Italian restaurant in Cobham, Surrey, near the Chelsea training ground.
“They were flirting and made their relationship very known.
“It was the talk of the evening.”
Gio has found love before through the BBC One Latin and ballroom show, with the choreographer dating former Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote for eight months after they were partnered up on the 2015 series.
He also romanced Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, who was a contestant in 2018.
Meanwhile, his most recent relationship was with ‘Love Island’ star Maura Higgins.

Cold Feet probably won’t come back, says Fay Ripley

OHMYGOSSIP — Fay Ripley doubts ‘Cold Feet’ will ever make a comeback.
The 56-year-old actress starred alongside John Thompson, James Nesbitt, Robert Brathurst, Helen Baxendale and Hermione Norris in the hit TV series – but Fay doubts that it’ll make a comeback, admitting that they shouldn’t “push [their] luck”.
Discussing the possibility of reviving the programme, Fay – who played Jenny Gifford in the ITV show – told Saga magazine: “We would all love it to, but the reality is that it probably won’t.
“We were incredibly privileged to have a show that was much loved for so long. So, I think, don’t push your luck.”
‘Cold Feet’ first aired in 1997 and fans continue to ask questions to Fay about the show.
Asked what question she gets asked most often, Fay replied: “Mainly they want to know if it’s coming back again.”
Fay has written a number of successful cookbooks since leaving the ITV show, and she’d ultimately loved to host her own cooking programme one day.
Speaking about her career ambitions, Fay explained: “I’ve talked about it for many years, and I’ve done a lot of cooking on the telly. If it was the right fit, then I would. My dilemma is, would it mean I’m not an actor anymore? At the moment I still like my day job.
“When I finished on ‘Cold Feet’ it was the end of something very familiar. That show felt like home and now I’m going on a massive adventure. It’s a bit surreal, but I feel very lucky.”

James Buckley: Nothing will match The Inbetweeners

OHMYGOSSIP — James Buckley doubts he’ll ever star in another show as big as ‘The Inbetweeners’.
The 35-year-old actor is famous for playing foul-mouthed teenager Jay Cartwright in the Channel 4 sitcom, in which he starred alongside Simon Bird, Joe Thomas and Blake Harrison, and James doubts he’ll be able to rediscover that success during his career.
Speaking on his ‘At Home with the Buckleys’ YouTube channel, he said: “There’s a reason why people have such longevity, such long careers, they’re really, really good at what they do.
“That’s probably why my career was quite short. It’s nice to have a day in the sun. Do you remember ‘The Inbetweeners’?”
In the past year, James has reinvented himself as a vlogger, setting up his YouTube channel with his wife Clair, which shows their life together with their two sons, Jude, nine, and Harrison, 11.
But James now wants to throw himself into new challenges, rather than limiting himself.
He said: “At the stage of life that I’m at, I’m open to things. If it’s a fun idea then I would consider it.
“I think maybe ten years ago when you’re in your early 20s and I think of myself back then, I was an actor and I was serious about what I do and I had goals and I had things that I wanted to do in life.
“Now I’m in my mid-30s and I’m a dad and I’m married and I’ve got no one left to try and impress anymore. Now I just take myself a bit less seriously – now if something comes along and I think, ‘Oh, that will be fun.’
“For instance, I would never have done a book a few years ago, I would have got all anxious and worried about it and I’d have talked myself out of it. Now I just feel like, just go for it.”

Kate Winslet’s kids convinced her to take Avatar role

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Winslet has credited her kids with convincing her to take a role in the new ‘Avatar’ movie.
The 47-year-old actress reunited with her ‘Titanic’ director James Cameron to appear in his long-awaited ‘Avatar’ sequel ‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’ and she has now revealed she agreed to play Ronal after a phone call from the filmmaker sent her children into a frenzy.
She told People magazine: “He called me and described the role, and I thought, ‘That sounds amazing’, and my kids were like ‘Oh my God, mom, you have to do it!’”
Kate previously opened up about what it was like working with James again 26 years after they made 1997 blockbuster ’Titanic’ together.
She told Empire magazine: “Jim and I are both totally different people now to who we were 26 years ago. He is calmer, and I am definitely more hyperactive now.”
In the new film, Kate plays an ocean-dwelling Na’vi warrior called Ronal and she said of the character: “She is deeply loyal and a fearless leader. She is strong. A warrior. Even in the face of grave danger, and with an unborn baby on board, she still joins her people and fights for what she holds most dear. Her family and their home.”
The star had to shoot a number of underwater scenes and revealed she learnt to hold her breath for more than seven minutes.
She added: “Seven minutes and 14 seconds, baby! (It was) the most amazing thing for me as a middle-aged woman was to learn something not just new, but superhuman.”

Cate Blanchett found music mastery ‘terrifying’

OHMYGOSSIP — Cate Blanchett found it “absolutely terrifying” learning to conduct and play the piano for ‘Tar’.
The 53-year-old actress portrays orchestra conductor Lydia Tár in the upcoming film and needed to master the musical skills to look convincing on camera, and insisted it’s only right to find such a prospect daunting.
She said: “[It was] absolutely terrifying. But if you’re not risking being terrified, then you should probably hand the job over to somebody else.”
The Australian star relished the “complex” nature of the story and particularly enjoyed how her own perspective on the tale changed as she worked on the movie.
She told Total Film magazine: “The film is so much about what happens when people are having an approximate relationship to power, and not just the people who are making the decisions, but those are who are carrying out those decisions.
“It’s complex and that’s what I really love about the film, you end up somewhere completely unexpected.
“When I first read the ending I went, ‘That is so depressing’.
“And as I moved closer and closer towards it, I went, ‘This is the epiphany. This is the moment where the clouds part, and a new beginning happens.’ It’s so much about your perspective…”
Cate recently explained she feels the “tragedy” of her character is that her working practices are no longer deemed appropriate for the era.
She said: “For Lydia in this film the exultation of serving the music is all-consuming. How she gets results, and how she behaves to other people, is of secondary importance to her. However, that’s not something that is accepted today.
“She is the right person to do her job, but she is living at the wrong time. Therein lies the tragedy.”

You’re my Walford-Wall! Oasis star Liam Gallagher loved Martine McCutcheon in EastEnders

OHMYGOSSIP — Martine McCutcheon says her biggest fan when she was in ‘EastEnders’ was Liam Gallagher.
The 46-year-old actress played beloved barmaid Tiffany Mitchell from 1995 to 1998 on the BBC One soap, and her final scenes which saw her run over by a car and killed as she tried to leave husband Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) and flee Albert Square with their daughter Courtney were watched by 12 million viewers.
Martine looks back fondly at those years and says the ‘EastEnders’ cast would regularly have a drink in the famous BBC bar which would be full of music stars who had performed on ‘Top of the Pops’, and she can recall former Oasis singer Liam, 50, making a beeline for her to tell her how much he loved watching her as Tiffany in the show.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: “We’d finish filming and go into the bar for a drink afterwards and in would pop Bono from U2, Cher, Diana Ross, Oasis or Blur.
“I remember Liam Gallagher came bowling up to me and I thought, ‘What’s he going to say?’ and he said, ‘I bloody love you in the show – all the family love you!’”
Martine quit the soap to focus on her pop career at the time, and the decision to kill off Tiffany was a controversial one because the actress had told BBC producers that she would always be open for a return to Walford.
The ‘Love Actually’ star admits she hasn’t watched ‘EastEnders’ for years because she can’t sit down and enjoy the Albert Square drama like a normal viewer because she knows what goes on behind the scenes.
She said: “I haven’t watched it in so many years because I know how it works and I keep thinking about everything behind the scenes.”

Suranne Jones can’t wait for Christmas Day dog walk

OHMYGOSSIP — Suranne Jones is most looking forward to going for a walk with her family and her two dachshunds on Christmas Day.
The ‘Gentleman Jack’ star’s favourite thing about the festive season is spending quality time with her screenwriter husband Laurence Akers and their six-year-old son, and she can’t wait to take a Yuletide stroll with her pair of pooches, and if it is snowing then that would be even better.
In an interview with OK! magazine, she said: “The best thing is just playing with my son on Christmas Day and us all taking our dachshunds for a Christmas walk. There’s something really special about it.
“I don’t remember the presents so much, more the time spent with my parents and the things we did. It’s those small moments of connections that are truly priceless.”
This year, Suranne is starring in festive comedy ‘Christmas Carole’, which is inspired by Charles Dickens’ 1843 ‘novella A Christmas Carol’.
In the modern take on the Christmas classic, the 44-year-old actress’ character Carole Mackay is a greedy, outspoken entrepreneur that makes her fortune selling cheap festive goods, which has earned her the titular nickname, even she actually despises the Christian holiday.
The ‘Doctor Foster’ star was thrilled to take on the Ebenezer Scrooge like role because it is a show that her son can watch her in, unlike the many gritty dramatic parts she plays.
Suranne said: “I’ve never done a Christmas film and I’d always wanted to tick that off as an actor, so it was a no-brainer. Also, none of the roles I’ve done -even ‘Doctor Who’, because it can be quite scary – are appropriate for my six-year-old. So he’s at a great age for this and I wanted to make something for him.
“He knew when I went away filming that I was kind of doing it for him to be able to see. So that was nice.”
‘Christmas Carole’ will air on Christmas Eve (24.12.22) at 8pm on Sky Max.

Craig Revel Horwood can’t wait for King Charles’ first Christmas Day speech

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Revel Horwood is looking forward to watching the first King’s Speech of his lifetime this Christmas Day.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge has always planned his celebrations around the annual speech broadcast by Queen Elizabeth, who died in September at the age of 96, bringing an end to her 70 years on the throne.
This Christmas Day, her son King Charles – previously known as Prince Charles – will deliver his first festive message to Britain, and Craig is excited to witness the historic moment after he has enjoyed some champagne and smoked salmon.
Speaking to New! magazine, he said: “I get up, and have a glass of champagne and some smoked salmon blinis. Then I get the Christmas meal ready, and then I open my red wine that I buy from Australia and let those breathe.
“I watch the Queen’s Speech, which will now be the King’s Speech and then we sit down and have a full on main course at 4pm.”
After the Queen’s death in September this year (08.09.22), the now King Charles is expected to give the speech for Christmas.
The 57-year-old choreographer doesn’t get much time off over the Christmas period because he always stars in panto following his stint on the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ panel, and this year is no different because he is playing the Wicked Stepmother in ‘Cinderella’ in Bristol, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
He said: “I get one day off in three months and that’s Christmas Day. I’m super excited about having turkey with all the trimmings.
“There was one year that I wasn’t in panto and I could party, party, party! That means I could have a drink and Boxing Day leftovers, but I don’t get do to do that now as I have to do two shows every single day.”

Millie Gibson’s parents called her ‘crazy’ for quitting Coronation Street

OHMYGOSSIP — Millie Gibson’s parents called her “crazy” after she quit her role as Kelly Neelan on ‘Coronation Street’.
The 18-year-old actress – who recently joined ‘Doctor Who’ as Ruby Sunday – shocked her parents when she revealed that she was quitting the ITV soap.
Speaking on the ‘Conversation Street’ podcast, Millie shared: “They thought I was crazy! They were like, ‘Why on earth?’
“It’s such a secure position. I was like, ‘Of course, but that’s what the thing is I don’t need to be secure at the minute.’ I need to spread my wings and see what can happen. And nothing could but I would have regretted it if I hadn’t tried, so I need to try.”
Millie felt the time was right to leave the cobbles, as she’d already accomplished everything she could with the character.
Despite this, the actress admits that it was still a “hard decision”.
She said: “Obviously ‘Corrie’ is the most incredible job you could ever think of getting, especially at my age. But you get to a point that you feel … I got the most out of it, the most out of the character, I’d explored so much with Kelly.
“I just thought whilst I’m still young I’d go and see what the rest of the world had to offer. It was a hard decision, for sure.”
Meanwhile, Russell T Davies – the ‘Doctor Who’ showrunner – recently revealed that he watched Millie during her time on ‘Coronation Street’ and he’s confident that she’ll be a huge success on ‘Doctor Who’.
He said: “It’s the great honour of my job to find the next generation of talent, and Millie shines like a star already. She’s brilliant, dynamic, clever and a wonderful actor.
“As a ‘Coronation Street’ fan, I’ve seen Millie survive chases, guns and sieges, but that’s nothing compared to what lies ahead for Ruby Sunday.”

Alan Carr: Online dating? No thanks!

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr will never join Grindr.
The 46-year-old comedian split from his husband Paul Drayton earlier this year, and although he’s ready to find love once again, Alan insists he won’t be turning to the dating app for any assistance.
Appearing on Australian radio, he joked: “How can I go on Grindr? You have to put your bits and bobs on it.”
Despite this, Alan insisted he’s open-minded about the type of man he’s looking for.
He shared: “I’m up for anything, really. People say to me, ‘Has anyone has slid into my DMs?’ I’m like, ‘Slid? It’s more like crawled and died!'”
Alan and Paul’s marriage fell apart during the COVID-19 lockdowns as Paul descended into alcoholism.
But the stand-up comic has no regrets about their relationship, admitting they both tried their best to make it work and that they are “still friends”.
The comedian – who married Paul in 2018 – said: “I’ve moved on, I’m still friends with Paul, he’s sort of getting on with his life. Sometimes it’s not a bad thing. It was 14 years, we gave it a go, it didn’t work out in lockdown. Who cares? Let’s move on.
“Our marriage broke down. In lockdown, a lot of people started doing a little self-analysis and having a look at their lives, going, ‘Is this the kind of life I want?’ So, we split up.”
Meanwhile, Alan also joked that 2022 has been even worse for him than 2021, when most of the world was battling the COVID-19 pandemic and still dealing with lockdowns.
He quipped: “Gosh, 2022 was rubbish, who looks back on 2021 as the good old days? My dog also died.”

I’ve found my voice in the movie industry, says Naomi Ackie

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Ackie thinks she’s finally “found [her] voice” in the movie industry.
The 30-year-old actress struggled to find opportunities after her breakthrough film role in 2016’s ‘Lady Macbeth’ – but Naomi is now feeling more confident than ever, after landing the lead role in the new Whitney Houston biopic, ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’.
The actress – who also appeared in 2019’s ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ – explained: “I’m more straightforward now. I found my voice. I’m not scared any more to ask for things.”
Despite this, Naomi isn’t looking forward to the attention that will inevitably come her way because she’s playing Whitney – who died in February 2012, aged 48 – in the biopic.
Speaking to The Independent, she jokingly added: “Wish me luck. Pray I don’t get thrown into some lion’s den.”
Meanwhile, Naomi recently revealed that she had to wear a set of false teeth to play Whitney in the new movie.
The actress spent weeks perfecting her American accent only for it all to go horribly wrong as soon as she put in her specially-made teeth.
She explained: “I had been working on the accent for six months and thought I had it down, then suddenly putting in the fake teeth meant I had to learn it all over again.”
However, Naomi still managed to fool most of her castmates, who “freaked out” when they realised that she’s actually British.
The actress – who stars alongside Ashton Sanders and Stanley Tucci – added: “People freaked out when they heard my British voice.
“On set I would be talking as Whitney and then afterwards I was like, ‘Bloody hell, that was a hard day, innit!'”

Claire Foy ‘hates the strong female characters concept’

OHMYGOSSIP — Claire Foy hates the “strong female characters” description.
The 38-year-old actress – whose film credits include ‘First Man’, ‘Unsane’ and ‘My Son’ – has revealed that she hates the description because it suggests that “all other female characters are weak”.
She said: “I viscerally hate ‘strong female characters’. It says, what, all other female characters are weak? You don’t separate men like that. They’re allowed to be unlikeable, likeable, strong, weak, scary, cuddly, all sorts of different things.”
Claire stars alongside Rooney Mara and Frances McDormand in the new drama film ‘Women Talking’, which is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Miriam Toews.
And Claire admits that the Sarah Polley-directed project represents a landmark in her career.
The acclaimed actress told Empire magazine: “This is the first film I’ve made where women are strong while not in a domestic setting.
“You usually see mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmas at the kitchen sink, in positions of importance. But this is basically the Senate, the Houses Of Parliament. These women are talking about the foundation of civilisation, about how they navigate the world as people and what is right and wrong.”
Meanwhile, Claire previously admitted that she’s felt “exploited” during sex scenes.
The movie star also explained that shooting intimate scenes is the “grimmest thing you can do” as an actress.
Claire shared: “It’s a really hard line because basically you do feel exploited when you are a woman and you are having to perform fake sex on screen. You can’t help but feel exploited. It’s grim – it’s the grimmest thing you can do.
“You feel exposed. Everyone can make you try to not feel that way but it’s, unfortunately, the reality.”

Rian Johnson proud to direct Angela Lansbury and Stephen Sondheim’s final roles

OHMYGOSSIP — Rian Johnson admitted it was a “very special privilege” to direct Angela Lansbury and Stephen Sondheim in their final on-screen roles.
The late stars – who died in October 2022 aged 96 and November 2021 aged 91 respectively – have a cameo in ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ and though the director admitted the pair only feature in a small scene, it meant a lot to him to work with the Hollywood greats.
He said: “I don’t want to blow it up too much, it’s just one little fun moment that they have.
“But what it meant for me, besides just how special it is to have both of them in the movie, it meant that I just got to spend 10 minutes with each of them to film this little moment.
“Getting to meet them, getting to tell Angela Lansbury what her work meant to me, telling her about watching the filmed version of ‘Sweeney Todd’ that was on cable when I was a kid and how that really kind of started me loving musical theater… It felt like a very special privilege to get to do that.”
The film isn’t a direct sequel to ‘Knives Out’ as Daniel Craig’s character, Detective Benoit Blanc, is investigating a new mystery with a different set of characters and Rian admitted he and his lead had such a great time making the first movie, they vowed at the time to keep making new installments.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Coming off of the first one, Daniel and I, even when we were making it, we were having so much fun, we were like, ‘It’d be fun to keep doing these.’
“The idea was always to kind of take inspiration from what Agatha Christie did with her books, where it wasn’t a continuation of the last one, it wasn’t kind of just turning the crank on the same sort of thing. Christie really took huge different swings with every single book that she did in terms of not just the mechanics of the murder mystery, but also the setting, also the characters, and the themes, so that was kind of the starting point is just, let’s write a whole new movie that is the whole reason for being all it’s own.”
But the filmmaker admitted the hardest part of crafting the sequel was “figuring out what’s your story.”
He explained: “By that, I don’t mean the murder or the mystery or anything.
“I mean, what is the thing that the audience is going to care about? The thing that’s going to actually keep their butts from getting numb, that’s going to keep them engaged and leaning forward — you want them leaning forward as opposed to leaning back and, like, stroking their chin.”

Ryan Coogler reveals original plan for Black Panther: Wakanda Fortever

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ was supposed to explore T’Challa’s relationship with his son.
Ryan Coogler has opened up about his original idea for the sequel until lead actor Chadwick Boseman died of cancer in August 2020, explaining the idea was “nothing like” what eventually came to screen as he planned to centre it around the bond between fathers and sons, and would have dealt with T’Challa’s five-year absence after ‘The Blip’.
While Sub-Mariner Prince Namor was always intended to be the villain, the focus would have been on T’Challa’s relationship with his and Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o)’s son Toussaint, who was born while he was away.
Ryan told The New York Times newspaper: “It was, “What are we going to do about the Blip? That was the challenge. It was absolutely nothing like what we made. It was going to be a father-son story from the perspective of a father, because the first movie had been a father-son story from the perspective of the sons.
“In the (original) script, T’Challa was a dad who’d had this forced five-year absence from his son’s life.
“The first scene was an animated sequence. You hear Nakia talking to Toussaint. She says, ‘Tell me what you know about your father.’
“You realise that he doesn’t know his dad was the Black Panther. He’s never met him, and Nakia is remarried to a Haitian dude. Then, we cut to reality, and it’s the night that everybody comes back from the Blip. You see T’Challa meet the kid for the first time.”
The movie would then jump three years after the conclusion of ‘The Avengers: Infinity War’ to find T’Challa bonding with his son, with the director admitting he had some “crazy scenes” planned for his late lead.
He added: “Then it cuts ahead three years, and he’s essentially co-parenting.
“We had some crazy scenes in there for Chad, man. Our code name for the movie was ‘Summer Break’, and the movie was about a summer that the kid spends with his dad. For his eighth birthday, they do a ritual where they go out into the bush and have to live off the land. But something happens, and T’Challa has to go save the world with his son on his hip. That was the movie.”
The original film would have given Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ CIA director character Val a bigger role.
Ryan added: “It was basically a three-way conflict between Wakanda, the US, and Talokan. But it was all mostly from the child’s perspective.”
The rewritten version of the sequel became a project centred on grief and vengeance, with T’Challa’s sister, Letitia Wright’s Shuri, at the heart of the tale.

Celebrity version of The Traitors is in the works

OHMYGOSSIP — The BBC is planning a celebrity version of ‘The Traitors.’
The game show – which is fronted by ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ host Claudia Winkleman – follows a group of strangers all posing as ‘Faithful’ contestants to win a cash prize of up to £120,000 but features a small number of “traitors” who “murder” one of their fellow contestants each night and following a successful launch series, a string of famous faces could now reportedly be gearing up to take part.
A TV insider told The Daily Mirror newspaper: “Everyone’s been thrilled with how much love there’s been for The Traitors and a celebrity version is a natural next step. Viewers will get to see different sides of some big names as they try to manipulate others or uncover the truth about fellow players.”
The celebrity edition is thought to be being planned as a charity edition for either Children in Need or Comic Relief and Claudia herself has already named a string of stars she would like to see take on the mental and physical challenges, including the likes of former ‘EastEnders’ actor Adam Woodyatt and ‘This Morning’ presenter Alison Hammond.
She said: “Victoria Coren, Kirsty Young, Adam Woodyatt, Stephen Fry, Alison Hammond… let’s do it!”
The inaugural series of the show came to a conclusion on Thursday (22.12.22) and Claudia previously explained – which is filmed in the Scottish Highlands and is based on a format that originated in the Netherlands – that she was “obsessed” with the concept.
She said: “I’m obsessed by psychological games and I couldn’t stop watching the Dutch version of the show. The fact that the BBC version is set in a castle in Scotland and the producers want me to wear tweed meant I was all in.”
At the end of the game the cash prize will only be won if the remaining contestants are all on team Faithful, but if a Traitor has managed to reach the final of the game, they alone will win the cash and the others will leave with nothing.
