Olympian Adam Peaty and Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly Ramsay engaged

OHMYGOSSIP — Olympian Adam Peaty and Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly Ramsay have got engaged.
The 29-year-old swimmer and the 24-year-old digital creator are to marry after former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star Adam, who says he is the “luckiest man on earth”, popped the question.
He wrote on Instagram: “I can’t believe you’re going to be my wife. I’m truly the luckiest man on earth to have such a gentle, caring and beautiful woman by my side. You fill my heart to the brim and give my soul peace.
“You have been with me when I’ve been at my lowest and helped me understand myself to navigate my own darkness.
“You have also celebrated the highs which have been so many, as for the first time in my life, I’m happy with the man I’ve become. You came to church with me and joined the incredible community we have there without a question.
“Your family have always treated me so generously with their time, emotion and trust. I can’t wait to be joined with them too. I’ve always believed that when two people are engaged and later married that we are no longer two people but we join as one and it’s the biggest privilege to share that with you.
“Seeing you show the love you give to the most important person in my life, George, even from day one, there was never a question about you becoming my wife one day. I’m looking forward to our life together and the many challenges we’ll face.
“I promise to always love you with all my heart.
Matthew 19:6
“So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” (sic)”
Holly admitted she “cannot put into words” how she is feeling to be engaged to Adam, and she “cannot wait” to be the Team GB star’s wife.
She wrote: “I am marrying my best friend. I truly cannot put into words how I am feeling right now. I still remeber how big my smile was the morning I got home from my first date with you.
“Thank you for letting the little girl inside of me feel loved, seen and happier than ever. I love you and I cannot wait to be your wife
“I promise to always be there with you and George, I’m so greatful to be in his life and I cannot wait for more.
“Everything is better with you. Everything has been better since you. Here’s to forever.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But
the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 (sic)”
On his Instagram Stories, Adam revealed he had been working with a jewellery company for 10 months to find and make the “perfect yellow diamond ring” for his bride to be.
Adam – who has four-year-old son George with his ex Eirianedd Munro, who he split from in August 2022 – met Holly through her sister Tilly Ramsay, who competed on ‘Strictly’ in the same year as him in 2021.
Eirianedd previously said Adam appearing on ‘Strictly’ was the “beginning of the end” for their romance.
Asked in April if they would still be together if he hadn’t appeared on the show, she told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “It’s hard to say. I think it helped us realise what we wanted in life. Sadly, if it wasn’t for ‘Strictly’ it would’ve been something else.
“I’m grateful we found out we were not meant for each other sooner rather than later, for the sake of our young son.”

Joanna Page made to feel like a ‘pop star’ while filming Gavin and Stacey finale

OHMYGOSSIP — Joanna Page says filming the ‘Gavin and Stacey’ finale in front of a huge crowd has made her feel like a “pop star”.
The ‘Love, Actually’ star compared making the hotly-anticipated last-ever episode of the BBC sitcom – in which she plays Stacey Shipman, the wife of Gavin Shipman (Mathew Horne) – to being a musical superstar, and she is “enjoying” every moment because she knows it won’t “last long”.
Speaking to ‘EastEnders’ star Natalie Cassidy, 41, on their ‘Off The Telly’ podcast, the 47-year-old actress said: “It’s mad. You pull up in the car and get out and the crowd just go ‘Wayyy’, and you genuinely feel like a pop star or something.
“So I’m enjoying myself for now, because I know that when it finishes I’ll be going home to my four children, who’ll be like, ‘Mummy mummy can I have my tea, mummy I want this I want that,’ so I’m enjoying being fussed over, because it’s not going to last for long.”
Joanna has been having “so much fun” shooting in Wales with the rest of the cast, including Alison Steadman, 78, Larry Lamb, 76, and Rob Brydon, 59.
She said: “Oh my god it’s so much fun. I’m laughing absolutely loads. It’s just mad though, it’s absolutely mad.
“I mean we’ve been down the slots, I’ve been filming my scenes with Nessa at the slots. And it’s just mad because there’s so many people, we’ll be filming and then the beach will suddenly get full of people coming to watch. It’s so lovely and sweet.
“And there’s so many dogs being brought down, so I’m meeting all these different little dogs.
“The public are coming and so are the fans. It’s absolutely gorgeous because it’s been pouring with rain recently but people are still coming down and standing to watch us. It’s really sweet, and bringing little gifts and presents. It’s lovely.”
Recently, James Corden, 46, confirmed he and his ‘Gavin and Stacey’ co-creator Ruth Jones, 57, were filming the episode – which will be the first instalment since the 2019 Christmas special – in Barry again, ahead of the Christmas Day finale.
He wrote on Instagram: “Day 2. One last time on the island x.”

‘There’s another few stories to tell’: Ewan McGregor eyes Obi-Wan Kenobi return

OHMYGOSSIP — Ewan McGregor hopes to play Obi-Wan Kenobi again.
The 53-year-old actor has portrayed the Jedi Master in both the ‘Star Wars’ prequel trilogy and the Disney+ mini-series ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ and is hopeful of wielding the lightsaber again to fill the gap in his alter ego’s story.
Ewan told Variety: “I really do hope we get a chance to do another one.
“Between where we ended off in the series and when Alec Guinness comes on screen with Luke Skywalker, I think there’s another few stories to tell in there.”
Ewan’s co-star Hayden Christensen is also hoping to return as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in order to work with the Scottish actor again.
The 43-year-old star said: “If it means I get to do more with Ewan, then that’s a no-brainer, but I really hope that he continues with the character.
“Just as a fan, it’s so exciting to get to watch him play Obi-Wan – he’s just so good at it.”
McGregor – who will be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday (12.09.24) – described how he felt daunted when he was first cast in the famous sci-fi franchise as he loved the original trilogy as a child.
The ‘Trainspotting’ star said: “Me and my brother watched the first ‘Star Wars’ films a million times, like most people my age. They were so important to us.
“So I had to switch something off in my head to be able to cope with the bigness of all that and just get on with it.”
Ewan explained that he sought to emulate Alec Guinness’ performance as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the original trilogy when it came to his own depiction of the protagonist.
He said: “I loved, more than anything, getting to know Alec Guinness’ work because I was playing him as a young man.
“Even now with the series, that’s my personal challenge – if a take feels a bit like him, I’m happy.”

Jo Whiley ‘lost herself’ during menopause

OHMYGOSSIP — Jo Whiley “lost herself” during menopause admitting she felt “very weak” and “cried all the time”.
The 59-year-old BBC radio DJ has opened up about her experience revealing she felt overly-emotional and lost before she learned to manage her symptoms and took up weight training to make herself feel better.
She told Women’s Health magazine: “I did go through a period of time when I felt like I was just a bit weak, but I think it’s probably when the menopause hit.
“When I was going through [it], I think the conversation wasn’t being had that vocally, like it wasn’t on social media with Davina [McCall] and her campaign [ to raise awareness of menopause issues] …
“I really lost myself. I cried all the time. I mean, I cry a lot anyway, but I cried all the time. I just felt very weak.”
Jo went on to explain she started going to the gym a lot and feeling “strong” helped her cope. She added: “Going to the gym and getting myself strong has played a really, really big part in helping me be the person I am today. It really saved me.”
She explained she’s not a huge fan of running, but she loves going to the gym and lifting weights has become her favourite exercise.
Jo said: “With running, I really have to make myself do it. But the gym. I love working out and doing weights”.
The broadcaster insisted she has always led a fairly healthy lifestyle but she now makes sure she gets regular check-ups to take care of her health.
She added: “I’ve always been healthy, and so [there weren’t] any major lifestyle changes, but it was going and getting health checks [and] having a yearly MOT.”

Jeremy Clarkson doesn’t think Top Gear would be made today

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson doesn’t think a show like ‘Top Gear’ would get commissioned these days.
The 64-year-old broadcaster – who fronted the BBC motoring show from 2002 to 2015 before launching a similar series, ‘The Grand Tour’, on Prime Video in 2016 – doesn’t believe that he and co-hosts Jamey May and Richard Hammond would have the same appeal to executives now and feels lucky that they have enjoyed the run for as long as they have.
He reflected to The Sun newspaper: “It wouldn’t get commissioned now in a million years.
“Monkey tennis would be more likely to be commissioned than this, I think.
“It would be so difficult — three middle-aged, middle-class guys, driving cars around in other countries, I think they’d probably say no.
“Fortunately, our Top Gear grew out of something else. I started in 2002, doing originally just with Hammond, and then May came along in the second season of the series.
“Then Hammond had his accident and then a lot of people started watching the show and it grew some more and then we accidentally did a special in America.
“But you couldn’t get it commissioned from the get-go now.”
The trio are set to end ‘The Grand Tour’ with new special ‘One For The Road’ but if the show is to continue without them, Jeremy has urged producers to hire new faces with a true passion for cars and commitment to the programme.
He said: “My advice to Amazon would be – and I’ve given this to them already – for heaven’s sake, do not get well known people who ‘like’ cars.
“Because when you do that show it has to be your life. No, you can’t open supermarkets.
“No, you can’t appear on another show. If you’re not actually filming, you’re thinking about what the next thing is that you’re going to film. It has to be all consuming.
“But there’s no point hiring, you know, somebody who ‘likes’ cars. Because that’s not enough. I would get three complete unknowns. Start small, like we did. They’ve got to be absolute petrolheads.
“I’ve got to be able to show them a picture of a quarter of a door mirror from any car ever made, and they’ve got to know what it is.
“I’d go to motoring journalists. James, Richard and I are all motoring journalists.
“That would be my advice if you want to continue with it, and I would hope that Amazon do continue with it.”
After leaving ‘Top Gear’, the likes of actor Matt LeBlanc, DJ Chris Evans, comedian Paddy McGuinness and cricketer Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff presented the show before it was shelved after the former sportsman was involved in a horror crash.

Steven Soderbergh declares movies need stars to survive

OHMYGOSSIP — Steven Soderbergh has declared movies need “stars” to survive.
The ‘Traffic’ director has opened up about the current state of the film industry and insisted it’s getting increasingly more difficult to score a hit so all big projects need some A-list sparkle to progress at the box office.
Speaking at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada on Thursday (12.09.24), Soderbergh explained: “For movies to work, they need movie stars. It’s great if the story is big enough to pull people in on its own, but that’s hard, and increasingly harder to do … It’s gotten more difficult to quantify what is bringing people to a specific film, and what makes a specific film a hit.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, he added: “At the end of the day, the only solve is good s***. You got to make good s***. You’ve got to focus on that.”
During the informal conversation event, Soderbergh also opened up about a passion project he’s been working on for almost 15 years – writing a book about his favourite film ‘Jaws’.
He revealed the book analyses Steven Spielberg’s 1975 classic from a moviemaking perspective and will be aimed at film students and future directors.
Soderbergh revealed he first saw the film at the age of 12 and it sparked his interest in making movies. He said of the project: “I’ve been working on this thing [the book] that is ostensibly about directing and uses as its spine an analysis of the making of ‘Jaws’ day-to-day.
“This book is not for general consumption. This is for people who are interested in films, either as moviegoers or [who] want to do this job. Because if you’re going to do this job, you need to understand the job. This is the job.
“I’m going to walk you through the experience of making it as a jumping off point to talk about problem solving and process.”

Cut-price Jacob Elordi paid ‘a dime and nickel’ for Oh Canada

OHMYGOSSIP — Jacob Elordi was hired “for a dime and nickel” for his role in ‘Oh Canada’.
The 27-year-old actor plays the young Leonard Fife in Paul Schrader’s adaptation of Russell Banks’ 2021 novel ‘Foregone’, and was hired for the role before his breakout part as Elvis Presley in ‘Priscilla’, a time when the director didn’t need a big “name” because he already had Richard Gere on board to play the older version of the character but he felt they had enough of a resemblance to one another.
Paul explained to The Hollywood Reporter: “We got him (Elordi) for a dime and nickel for that reason. I didn’t need a name. I had Richard and that was enough.
“But I saw his performance on Zoom and, if this was 40 years ago, this is the guy I would have cast for ‘American Gigolo’.”
As for Richard, the filmmaker thought it would be great to see the 75-year-old star “play old”.
He said: “To have seen Anthony Hopkins do it, and to have seen Jonathan Pryce and Tommy Lee Jones do it, I thought to myself, Richard [Gere] has never played old and it would help the buzz and sales for the film.”
The film studies a man considering his legacy before his death, and Paul had decided to adapt the novel just as its author was himself dying from terminal cancer.
He recalled: “I had heard Russell got sick and I was supposed to go up and see him like I did every summer. He called me and said, ‘I can’t do it this summer.’ And I started very quickly to realise this was serious.
“The irony is, of course, he died pretty much in the way he had researched it.”
Paul and Russell – who died in January 2023 aged 82 – discussed the project via email and the director recalled receiving one one day, in which the author quipped: “If I ever write again, I will never write another book about an artist dying of cancer who seeks redemption.”
Paul noted: “He had become that character.”

ITV bring back live coverage for new series of Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — ITV is bringing back the live element for the new series of ‘Big Brother’.
The reality series was pre-recorded when it made a comeback on ITV2 but producers are going live again for the civilian show’s return next month after it was successfully implemented during the celebrity run earlier this year.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column: “‘Big Brother’ fans are a discerning bunch and they have certain expectations about what they should get with their favourite reality TV show.
“The live element is incredibly important to them as it adds a little edge to proceedings.
“They brought back the live element for the celebrity version last autumn and it didn’t cause too many problems.
“But it did bring back the important sense that anything could happen, and it would all be caught on camera.
“That’s even more exciting given the fact that this is NOT the celebrity version, so we really have no idea what kind of characters are going to emerge from the limousines and go into the house.”
AJ Odudu will be returning to host alongside Will Best and claimed last year that ‘Big Brother’ hasn’t received enough plaudits for its diverse line-ups over the years.
The 36-year-old star said: “That’s what’s always been so beautiful about ‘Big Brother’, and actually something that’s not been credited to the show enough.
“I don’t feel like ‘Big Brother’ has had its flowers for all of the diverse storylines and the openness and how we learned about one another.
“This is the one and only show where you don’t need to do anything or be anything but interesting and how amazing is that, really.”

GK Barry ‘refusing to sign up for I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’

OHMYGOSSIP — ITV is “desperate” to secure GK Barry for the new series of ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
The 25-year-old social media star previously rejected an offer to join ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and she’s so far resisted lucrative offers from ITV, too.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “ITV are desperate to have GK Barry in the jungle this year but she’s refusing to sign up for the show.”
TV bosses believe GK – whose real name is Grace Keeling – could help to broaden the appeal of the long-running show.
The broadcaster has apparently tried to “sweeten the deal” by offering jobs on other ITV shows – but GK is insisting she doesn’t want to enter the jungle.
The insider shared: “They think she’ll make great TV and will help the show appeal to an even wider audience.
“They’ve made huge money offers and are trying to sweeten the deal with jobs on other ITV programmes but GK is insisting she won’t do the jungle.”
Despite this, an ITV spokesperson has played down talk of making an approach for GK.
The spokesperson said: “Any names suggested for ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ are just speculation.”
Meanwhile, a source recently suggested that GK rejected an approach from ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ because she sees her long-term future with ITV.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: “She did have several meetings with ‘Strictly’, but ultimately decided it wasn’t the best fit and is keen to pursue her telly career with ITV.”
The broadcaster believes that GK’s social media following could be a game-changer for ITV.
The source said: “Producers think she has great energy and is highly entertaining.
“She has millions of social media followers, which is a top focus of ITV at the moment.”

Chris McCausland had never watched Strictly Come Dancing before signing up

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris McCausland had no interest in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ before signing up for the programme.
The 47-year-old comedian will be the first blind contestant to appear on the hit BBC show but admits that he hadn’t watched it before being asked to take part in the new series – which launches on Saturday (14.09.24).
Chris told The Daily Telegraph newspaper: “The ‘Strictly’ producers wore me down.
“They just wouldn’t let it go. The thing is, I’ve never even casually tuned into the show or even been in the same room when it was on, so I had no burning desire to take part.
“My agent and my tour manager kept telling me it would be brilliant but I had to have the whole concept explained to me.
“It was only a couple of months ago that I learnt there were themed weeks. Initially I thought that there was a fake tan week because everyone kept going on about it.”
He added: “Contestants always say they have no idea what they are doing. I really don’t. What even is a Charleston?”
Chris began going blind in his teenage years due to a condition called retinitis pigmentosa and is determined to use his appearance on ‘Strictly’ to showcase the resilience of those without sight.
The comic said: “I’m serious about ‘Strictly’. I want to show just how capable and resilient blind people are.
“There’s a misperception that we are helpless but in fact we are hugely adaptable and amazing problem-solvers. Yet there’s a 73 per cent unemployment rate among blind people of working age in this country – because employers just don’t have the necessary vision to give us a chance. I want to change that – although if I’m useless it will be a bit of an own goal.”

Toby Jones is ‘waiting for action’ after NTA success

OHMYGOSSIP — Toby Jones won’t be “totally satisfied” with ‘Mr Bates vs The Post Office’ until it prompts change.
The 58-year-old actor starred in the acclaimed drama series – which centred on the British Post Office scandal – earlier this year, and Toby has reiterated his call for action, after thousands of innocent subpostmasters were wrongly blamed for financial shortfalls.
Toby – who recently won the Best Drama Performance at the National Television Awards (NTAs) for his portrayal of Alan Bates in the ITV drama series – told RadioTimes.com: “Alan keeps everyone on the straight and narrow about that. About the fact that nothing has changed for a lot of people and it needs to happen and we’re yet to hear from the government…”
Toby also noted that the NTA crowd and the wider public are still “waiting for action” after the situation was brought to their attention.
The actor said: “You heard the boos, they’re waiting for action. The audience are right behind it, they just want to see action. Like all of us.”
Meanwhile, Toby previously paid a glowing tribute to Alan, observing that he “can’t be bought”.
The acclaimed actor also described Alan as a selfless “hero”.
Toby told the BBC earlier this year: “I get to play a hero. Really, someone who I think of as a hero. Someone in the culture who just doesn’t seem to be subject to the same forces that we all are.
“He can’t be bought. He’s asked to open Glastonbury. ‘No, thank you’. He’s asked to do these things, he doesn’t want to do any of that. He says, ‘I’ve got work to do’, which is to get that stuff done.”

Emma Corrin and Maika Monroe join the cast of 100 Nights of Hero

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Corrin and Maika Monroe have been tapped for the starring roles in the period fantasy ‘100 Nights of Hero’.
The ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ actor and ‘Longlegs’ star have been offered leading parts in director Julia Jackman’s upcoming movie, which is based on the 2016 graphic novel of the same name by Isabel Greenberg.
The flick – which will also see popstar Charli XCX and Nicholas Galitzine appear – follows neglectful husband Jerome who makes a wager with his friend Manfred (Galitzine) that if he can seduce his wife Cherry (Monroe) within 100 nights, his pal can keep his castle.
However, what Jerome doesn’t know is that his wife is in love with her maid Hero, as played by Corrin.
‘The Crown’ star recently appeared alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the Marvel blockbuster ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ as Cassandra Nova – Professor X’s evil twin.
The actor – who uses they/them pronouns – explained that they wanted to “pay homage” to previous iterations of Charles Xavier, who had been played by Sir Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy, with their performance as the telepathic villain.
Emma told Screen Rant: “I did look back at those two performances. I hesitated before I did because I was like, ‘Do I want to get too close? Will I still be able to make it my own?’
“But I found it really interesting how they portrayed someone whose power is very internal and telepathic in that telepathic world. I wanted to see if there were any bits that I could use or pay homage to that, obviously, fans would really enjoy.”
‘The Crown’ star added they “felt terrible” killing off Chris Evans’ Johnny Storm – who is also known as The Human Torch – in the movie because fans were “so excited” to see the actor reprise his ‘Fantastic Four’ role.
Speaking to British GQ, they said: “I felt so bad when we were in the screening the other day.
“Because we watched it after the New York premiere with all these Lincoln Center full of fans, and everyone was so excited when they saw him appear on screen, and then after three minutes, I’ve killed him. I felt terrible. I was hiding in my seat.”

Matt Reeves: The Batman will be a trilogy

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Reeves is still planning to make ‘The Batman’ a trilogy.
The DC superhero blockbuster – which starred Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader – is due to receive a sequel in 2026, and now the 58-year-old director has confirmed the story will continue in a future third instalment.
When Collider asked Reeves if a trilogy was still on the cards, he said: “Yes, that is still the plan. I mean, it’s sticking very closely to the path we envisioned.”
The filmmaker is currently gearing up for the release of the HBO spin-off show ‘The Penguin’, which sees Colin Farrell, 48, reprise his role as the titular mob boss – who is also known as Oswald Cobblepot – as he rises through the ranks of Gotham City’s criminal underworld.
Reeves explained that while “things kind of shifted” with his superhero universe due to the new programme, the director emphasised that the overarching story being told in the upcoming movies would remain the same.
He said: “When we came up with the idea to do ‘The Penguin’, that was something where I had always intended to continue Penguin’s story, and wanted to tell this story of his beginning of rise to power.
“Because we know that he’s introduced in ‘The Batman’ as a kind of mid-level, sort of overlooked, mocked figure, who’s not yet in anyone’s eyes the kingpin we come to know him as in the lore.
“And so, that was deliberate because I wanted— whereas it wasn’t Batman’s origin story, I wanted the origin stories of these other characters, of the Rogues Gallery and that story was originally going to be the entrée into the next movie.”
The filmmaker added the show – which debuts on HBO on 19 September – will move The Penguin’s character forward so that the mob boss is a more established villain by the time he appears again in ‘The Batman: Part II’.
Reeves said: “It’s still the same kind of trajectory of story, but the entry point for where Oz is is now that he’s further along as we enter that story than he would have been if we had started that story in the movie instead of by doing a series.”

Tim Burton was ordered to slash Beetlejuice sequel budget to land big screen release

OHMYGOSSIP — Tim Burton had to cut his ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ budget by almost $50 million.
The legendary filmmaker had to make some changes to get Warner Bros to greenlight his highly anticipated sequel to the original 1988 classic, with studio bosses originally pushing for the movie to be made for the Max streaming service.
Warner co-chair Pamela Adby told the New York Times newspaper: “That was never going to work for Tim.
“You’re talking about a visionary artist whose films demand to be seen on a big screen.”
However, Adby and her fellow film executive Michael De Luca were cautious, after movies like ‘Dumbo’ failed to make a splash at the box office.
The projected budget for the ‘Beetlejuice’ sequel was around $147 million, with the bulk of that set aside for star salaries and fees for producers.
This was seen as too risky, with the outlet reporting that Warner agreed to a theatrical release if Burton would make the movie for under $100 million.
The filmmaker’s agent Mike Simpson started negotiations to see if any stars would join the project for a smaller upfront payment, in return for a bigger piece of the ‘back end’.
Simpson added: “Two months went by where every day the movie almost died.”
While talks were ongoing, Adby and De Luca ignored advice from their studio’s business development team by pouring “hundreds of thousands of dollars a week on preproduction”.
This meant that when the deals were in place with the actors, Burton and his team could get straight to work without risking his stars having to move onto other jobs.
The main cast – including Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega and Catherine O’Hara) all agreed to take “substantially less money upfront”, while Burton and other producers did the same.
Other cuts were made in terms of shooting, as well as “tax incentives”, to make sure the film’s budget fell enough to be greenlit.
It cost $99 million to make, with box office projections putting its worldwide ticket sales thus far at around $264 million.

Josh Gad regrets using his own voice for Olaf in Frozen

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Gad regrets using his own voice for Olaf in ‘Frozen’.
The 43-year-old actor voices the loveable snowman in the Disney franchise but he wishes he had come up with a different accent for the character because his own voice is so recognisable he cannot escape ‘Frozen’ fans.
Speaking at Fan Expo Canada this month, he said in a clip shared to TikTok: “If I could do it all over again.
“I would not have lent that snowman my voice. I would have created a different voice.”
On his encounters with the young fans of the movies, he said: “It’s very weird being in a supermarket and having a little child go like this (turns head slowly).
“That was my first big mistake.
“I try to give it to them when I can.”
Josh has portrayed Olaf in the 2013 animated blockbuster and its 2019 sequel.
Olaf very nearly got culled from the movie.
‘Frozen’ co-director Jennifer Lee previously recalled seeing the early cuts of the film and her “first” bit of feedback was: “Kill the snowman.”
However, Josh managed to win over the filmmaker with his performance as the hilarious snowman created by Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Anna (Kristen Bell) in their childhood.
The 2013 movie swiftly became a multi-million-selling franchise, with the first film grossing more than $1.2 billion at the global box office.
The 2019 sequel proved even more successful, raking in $1.450 billion.

Daddy Issues lands second series on BBC

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Daddy Issues’ has been commissioned for a second series.
The hit sitcom – which stars David Morrissey and Aimee Lou Wood as a father-daughter duo Gemma and Malcolm brought together when she needed support after an unexpected pregnancy – will be returning for another run after its launch on BBC Three and iPlayer.
Jon Petrie, director of BBC Comedy, commented: “We’re delighted to play midwife to a second series of ‘Daddy Issues’.
“Danielle Ward’s razor sharp scripts and the dream pairing of Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey have struck a chord with viewers and we can’t wait to see Gemma and Malcolm take the first steps on their parenting/grand-parenting journey.”
The first series – which is set in Stockport – ended with Gemma going into labour at Rita’s (Sarah Hadland) salon, before giving birth to baby daughter Sadie with her friends Cherry (Taj Atwal) and Xander (Arian Nik) by her side.
Malcolm rushed to make it to the hospital in time with toxic friend Derek (David Flynn) in tow, but the BBC has teased that “a face from the past could change everything for them”.
Writer Danielle Ward said: “A second series? And I’ve found out by reading this press release? Unbelievable.
“I’m thrilled to be writing for Aimee and David (and the rest of this fabulous cast) again. I love the Moscrips and can’t wait to crack on with their continuing adventures.
“Sure a bit of a break would be nice but my hair will grow back, right?”
‘Sex Education’ star Amiee Lou described the show as “the most fun she’s ever had on a job”, and admitted she “can’t wait to do it again”.
David added: “I’m delighted to be doing another series of ‘Daddy Issues’.
“Working with Aimee was a dream, and Danielle’s writing is so funny and heartwarming! Can’t wait!”
