Former Celebrity Big Brother star Jermaine Pennant: My bankruptcy came from years of bad decisions

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star Jermaine Pennant says going bankrupt “did not happen overnight”.
The former Arsenal and Liverpool winger attributed his financial woes – which culminated in a surprise £1 million tax bill – to many “bad decisions” like not keeping track of the ins and outs from his bank, which he attributes to be a feature of his newly diagnosed ADHD.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper, the 39-year-old ex-footballer said: “The bankruptcy did not happen overnight. It came from years of bad decisions and ignoring things.
“We disputed the tax bill and I still do not know what it is for.
“But that is the thing that led to the bankruptcy more than anything else. I had no idea what I was earning and what was coming out of my account.
“Because of my ADHD, I would just ignore things and bury my head in the sand, even forgetting I owned a house.”
Jermaine – who now lives in Surrey with his actress girlfriend Jess Impiazzi, 33, and has a 12-year-old son with his ex-partner, Babestation model Alice Goodwin – is using his bankruptcy as an opportunity to “rebuild” and despite his financial woes he is “happier than ever”.
He said: “It is not an ideal situation being made bankrupt — but it means I can rebuild my life and make a fresh start.”
The TalkSport pundit – who at one point made £30,000 a week playing in the Premier League – began his career as a teenager knowing “nothing about finances and money”.
Jermaine said: “I came from a rough council estate and became a ‘wonderkid’ when I was 15. I had no education really and knew nothing about finances and money.
“No one at Arsenal helped me — they just stuck me in digs with a family. I would go training, go home and then be left to my own devices and hangers-on.
“I developed an ego and had no self-worth so tried to gain it by showing I had money.”
Jermaine confessed his drink driving conviction – which in 2005 led him to be sentenced behind bars for three months – was the thing he was “most ashamed” of while lamenting his other regrets like spilling about his bedroom habits and going on reality telly.
He said: “The thing I am most ashamed of is the drink-driving.
“I also regret what I said in the book — and regret writing it. It was another case of taking bad advice, and of not thinking of the consequences because of ADHD.
“My agent Sky Andrew suffered during these periods because he was trying to make me listen to good advice but I was on the fast train to destruction”.
“I thought everything would be OK but Ashley was not happy although we are still friends now.
“I also regret going on Big Brother and don’t think that was a great decision for me.”

Pat Sharp: David Beckham was a Fun House fan

OHMYGOSSIP — David Beckham told Pat Sharp that he was a huge fan of ‘Fun House’.
The former England football captain was totally star-struck when he met Pat, 61, at an event with his wife Victoria Beckham, and had to tell him that he was an avid watcher of the radio DJ’s ITV game show, which was for children and aired between 1989 and 1999.
Fun House was famous for its Grand Prix go-karting race and twin cheerleaders, Melanie Grant and Martina Grant who supported the red team and yellow team respectively.
Pat told the Daily Star newspaper: “People will say, ‘I liked you on Capital Radio,’ but most people say ‘Fun House’.
“I’ve even had David Beckham do that. Victoria ushered me across with her finger and I sat next to her. She said, ‘I just want to say I heard you on the radio today and you mentioned my autobiography. You didn’t take the mick, you were just nice and that was really kind.’ In the meantime, David Beckham was just staring at me, sitting next to her. And he goes, ‘I loved ‘Fun House.’ I said, ‘Cool! I like your football.'”
Pat described his encounter with 47-year-old David – who has sons Brooklyn, 23, Romeo, 20, and Cruz, 17, and daughter Harper, 11, with the Spice Girl turned fashion designer- “the pinnacle” of all his other fan exchanges.
He added: “When the England captain says he loved ‘Fun House’ that’s the pinnacle.”

Dancing on Ice star Christopher Dean admitted to hospital

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Dancing on Ice’ star Christopher Dean has been admitted to hospital.
The ice skating legend – who is one half of the Olympics gold medal winning figure skating duo Torvill and Dean with Jayne Torvill, a fellow judge on the ITV competition – broke his finger and confirmed the news with a social media snap, just mere days before the launch of the star-studded show.
The 64-year-old Olympic champion wrote on the photo on Wednesday (11.01.23): “Yes broken [grimacing face]”.
In a follow-up post on Twitter, Christopher joked about trying out the ‘Iron Lotus’ move, an imaginary move from the 2007 ice skating movie, ‘Blades of Glory’ starring Will Ferrell and Jon Heder.
He said: “We were trying the Iron Lotus, but ended up doing a Half Nelson. Or did I just fall over a suitcase in the middle of the night?”
Recently, Christopher – who along with Jayne, sits on the panel with Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo on the Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield-fronted contest – dealt with a bowel cancer scare.
He said: “Not knowing if I was going to live or die – it was a scary prospect being faced with my own mortality.
“My doctor was convinced I had an adenoma or adenomatous polyp.”
The champion sportsman – who will see Patsy Palmer, Ekin-Su Culculoglu, John Fashanu and other celebrities take to the ice this series – gushed about the “relief” when it was deemed to be benign.
Christopher said: “I can’t tell you the relief I felt and it really did help me put things into perspective.”
This is not the only injury to crop up in training as stand-up comic Darren Harriott revealed he had suffered “whiplash” back in December.
The 34-year-old comedian said:”Soooooo… I fell backwards yesterday on the ice near the end of my lesson and I now have whiplash.
“I can’t turn my head properly or raise my left arm. This is a big week for everyone on Dancing on Ice because it’s promo filming and show and tell so I’m gutted.”

Bake Off judge Prue Leith reveals new TV ambition…

OHMYGOSSIP — Prue Leith is in talks to get her novels turned into a TV series.
The ‘Great British Bake Off’ judge has revealed that she been close to seeing her ‘Trilogy of Love’ books – which are comprised of ‘The Food of Love’, ‘The Prodigal Daughter’ and ‘The Lost Son’ – turned into a show, but developments have so far fallen apart at the last minute.
However, Prue is not deterred and is certain that new discussions will see her story, which she describes as “Downton meets Bake Off”, will make it onto the small screen.
Appearing on the ‘Dirty Mother Pukka’ podcast, she shared: “One ambition I definitely have is that I want one of my novels or my trilogy of novels to get on the television.
“The trilogy is about the development of food since the war, how food has changed from rationing to street food via nouvelle cuisine. That’s the backstory but they’re actually three generations and they’re all love stories, each novel is a love story and each novel is a different generation. I keep saying to broadcasters this is Downton meets Bake Off what could be better? How can you resist?
“So far, it’s been in development twice, it’s been optioned a couple of times, it’s just called development hell – that’s how the TV system works like that. You think you’re nearly there, you’ve got the actor, you’ve got the writer, you’ve got interest from the broadcasters and then suddenly somebody leaves and then whole thing falls to pieces. But I’m still optimistic.”

Tony Blackburn has vowed to never retire

OHMYGOSSIP — Tony Blackburn has vowed to never retire.
The radio and TV legend turns 80 later this month but he is adamant he will not be leaving the airwaves, which he has been a fixture on since the 1960s, because he loves his job and it stops him from going “to pot”.
In an interview with The Lady magazine, he said: “I’ve been at the BBC for most of my life because they allow you to be yourself, whereas some other organisations tend to try to mould you. One agent wanted me to do more serious programmes, but I’m not like that. I love music and talking and nonsense and trying to give people a laugh.
“I’m still doing it now because I want to, not because I have to. It’s exhausting, really, to be so ambitious. But the day I don’t think I can do it properly any more I will give up.
“Keeping your brain active is really important. If you are lucky enough to enjoy your job, as I do, try to keep working. People who retire early can sometimes go to pot. I can understand people retiring if they don’t like their job, but the only reason I would is if I suffered from bad health. Until then I want to keep going as long as I can. I’m very, very lucky to be enjoying this part of my life – and I’m not under any pressure to prove myself.”
Tony wakes at 3.15am on Saturdays to drive from his Hertfordshire home to the BBC studios in London for his 6am radio show, ‘Sound of the 60s’ on Radio 2, and he travels back into London again on Sundays for his evening show ‘Tony Blackburn’s Golden Hour’.
Tony credits his happy marriage to second wife Debbie – who he married in 1992 – and his vegetarian diet for his good health and his energy to keep working into old age.
Although he admits Debbie, 62, does worry about him overstretching himself, especially when he hits the road for his live shows.
He said: “How have I managed to last for so long? I’m very happily married, which helps.
“Debbie is 62 but much more grown-up than me. She drives me on tour sometimes when we have to stay overnight for my live ‘Sound of the 60s’ theatre shows. She does sometimes say, ‘Do you think you’re OK with that?’ when I’m doing three shows a week, plus the radio at the weekend. But I’ve signed up for another 40 shows that will take me through to June this year. There’s a seven-piece band and I joke around with the audience, telling them tales from my pirate radio days.”
Tony considers his shows to be a public service, and he is adamant that a station like BBC Radio 2 is much-needed, especially for older people for whom the “radio is a friend”.
He said: “For older people, radio is a lovely friend I know my audience and what. I like a song with a good melody – I’m not going to pick some rapping thing.
“It’s a strange, sad world out there now, but Radio 2 is there to make people feel happy for a while.”

Alison Hammond is open to getting engaged to the ‘someone special’ in her life

OHMYGOSSIP — Alison Hammond is open to getting engaged again now she has “someone special” in her life.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter – who split from her fiancée Jamie Savage in 2017 after three years of dating and has a 18-year-old son Aiden with her ex Noureddine Boufaied – is in love with a mystery man and if he decided to pop the question she’d be happy to say “yes”.
The 47-year-old television personality told My Weekly magazine: “There’s someone special and if he wants to pop the question, he can pop away.”
Alison revealed she has been with the guy for a little while now and that he “worships” her and proves it by giving her a daily foot rub.
She spilled: “A year-and-a-half I’ve been with him, and no one knew. He absolutely worships me and massages my feet every single day. What more do you want?”
Alison – who has gained a huge fan base for her riotous interviews with A-listers like Woody Harrelson, Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on the ITV daytime show – loves making “happy TV” and believes if she’s having a good time, then the viewer is having a good time.
She said: “Nowadays there’s so much bad stuff in the news. I just want to see happy TV, so if I think if I’m enjoying it, you’re enjoying it.”
The former ‘Big Brother’ contestant mused she turned her school day talent of making her teachers “giggle” into a livelihood.
Alison said: “My school report would say, ‘My school report would say, ‘Alison doesn’t find maths easy, however, she does find chatting easy.’
“I got on with most of the teachers. I did actually make them giggle. And I’ve ended up making a living out of chatting. They say you need to do a job you love. I love chatting and laughing and having fun with people.”

Matt Reeves will keep Bruce Wayne at core of The Batman sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Reeves will keep Bruce Wayne at the heart of his sequel to ‘The Batman’.
The 56-year-old director is working on a sequel to his superhero blockbuster and suggested that Robert Pattinson’s hero will once again be at the core of the next installment.
Matt told Collider: “To me, the thing I really feel is that I also believe that Rob (Pattinson) is so special in the role. My goal has always been to do these point-of-view stories that allow the character to always be the emotional centre of the story.”
The filmmaker wants to avoid treading the path that previous Batman movies have gone down by placing the focus on villains – as Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy did with Heath Ledger’s Joker and Tom Hardy’s Bane.
Reeves said: “A lot of times what happens is, after you do the first one, then suddenly other Rogues Gallery characters come in, and they kind of take over, and then Batman takes a backseat of character-wise, or emotionally.”
Matt also confirmed that he is going to have a meeting with new DC Studio bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran to make sure that his BatVerse and the overhauled DC Universe “don’t crash into each other”.
He explained: “We’re actually supposed to meet in the next few weeks because they want to talk to me about the broad plan, and then they want to hear the BatVerse plan. We’re just getting together to talk about all of that.
“Look, I’m excited to hear what they’re going to do. The BatVerse thing, as James has said, and as Peter has said, is kind of its own thing they’re letting us do.”

Cate Blanchett hits back at Tar sexism claims

OHMYGOSSIP — Cate Blanchett has hit back at suggestions that ‘Tar’ is “anti-woman”.
The 53-year-old star won a Golden Globe award this week for her portrayal of the fictional orchestra conductor Lydia Tar but conductor Marin Alsop slammed the movie amid suggestions that the main character was inspired by her.
‘Tar’ follows Blanchett’s alter ego at the height of her successful career before accusations about her behaviour surface and destroy all she has worked for.
Alsop said: “I was offended as a woman, I was offended as a conductor, I was offended as a lesbian.
“There are so many men – actual, documented men – this film could have been based on but, instead, it puts a woman in the role but gives her all the attributes of those men. That feels anti-woman.”
Cate has the “utmost respect” for Alsop but claims that the character’s circumstances are merely coincidental.
‘The Aviator’ star said: “What (director Todd Field) and I wanted to do was to create a really lively conversation. So there’s no right or wrong responses to works of art.
“It’s not a film about conducting, and I think that the circumstances of the character are entirely fictitious. I looked at so many different conductors, but I also looked at novelists and visual artists and musicians of all stripes. It’s a very non-literal film.”
Blanchett stressed that the conductor is “entitled to her opinion” but defended the movie against claims of sexism.
The Oscar-winner said: “She’s entitled to her opinion, absolutely. But it’s a meditation on power and power is genderless. It is a meditation on power and the corrupting nature of power and I think that that doesn’t necessarily happen only in cultural circles.
“I mean, she could just as well have been a master architect or the head of a major banking corporation.”

Coco Lodge blasts Love Island bosses

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’s Coco Lodge says show bosses left her feeling “humiliated”.
Coco, who caused waves when she hooked up with Andrew Le Page, 27, even though he was coupled up with Tasha Ghouri, 24, claimed bosses forced her to wear a bikini and encouraged her to pursue Andrew.
She told MailOnline: “They said they didn’t want anyone in swimsuits and they wanted us all in bikinis. They forced me to wear a bikini and when I got there, one of the other girls was in a swimsuit so I thought… you told me I wasn’t allowed and I really didn’t feel comfortable walking in wearing a bikini.
“I knew there were going to be slow motion cameras and I’m sorry, we don’t all have perfect bodies. I wanted to feel really great just for that moment walking in. You put a lot of pressure on yourself and they forced me to wear a bikini… I was humiliated.”
Coco admitted she was first attracted to Davide Sanclimenti and said: “For me, it was hinted to me that I should not go for Davide and I should ‘explore’ Andrew. I didn’t feel like I wanted to do it but it was the way they worded it.
“Casa Amor is essentially a massive game to stay in and you don’t want to go home, you want to stay in bed with someone.
“There’s a lot of pressure already so when they said that to me I thought ‘I’m going to have to do it because I want to stay.’ He wasn’t my first choice at all. They knew what they were doing. I felt manipulated and I didn’t realise until I got out the villa and saw how things played out.”
And she claimed producers egged her on to confront Andrew, claiming that she had the support of the public.
She said: “The producers hyped me up to be this ‘bad b****’ and said on the outside world everyone was on my side so I genuinely thought I was loved by the public but in reality everyone already saw me as a villain so they were trying to feed into that narrative.
“You never saw me break down in tears, you just saw me being this sassy, b****, but the reality is I was literally having a meltdown.”

Love Island chaos as branded condoms and water bottles go missing

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ bosses are scrambling to buy branded condoms and water bottles after a cargo shipment went missing at sea.
The items were due to be used by contestants in the ‘Love Island’ villa for the winter series in South Africa but show bosses are frantically rushing to replace them after the cargo ship never made it to the harbour in Cape Town.
A source told The Mirror: “It’s a logistical nightmare. Everything should have arrived days ago.
“They are missing essential camera equipment, all the iconic neon pink stash the islanders use, and the ‘Love Island’ condoms and sexy lingerie that was destined for the hideaway retreat.
“They have stocked up on alternative condoms to make sure everyone is safe in the meantime.”
Meanwhile, presenter Maya Jama, 28, recently revealed she would love to see former contestant Theo Campbell return to the show.
She told Radio Times: “”Theo [Campbell]! I found him hilarious. That line about ‘leave with them’ – it was that. We were all feeling it and Theo actually said it. You need that honesty sometimes!”
Theo featured in the third series of the revived Love Island in 2018.
And, speaking about why now is the right time for her to host the show, Maya said: “Once you start doing TV, you meet a lot of producers through different shows, and the heads will be aware of talent. That’s weird to call yourself talent, isn’t it? I talk for a living. It’s not exactly tap dancing everywhere or performing a ballad.
“So I think I’ve always been in their eyeline, but I was super young when the presenter shifts were happening in the past. They knew about me but I was always a bit too young, and obviously, there were previous hosts anyway.”

Allison Williams wants M3GAN sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Allison Williams wants a ‘MEGAN’ sequel.
The 34-year-old actress is shocked by the success of the sci-fi horror flick about a robotic doll that becomes extremely protective of a child and revealed she would love to make a follow-up.
Allison told Variety: “I love anything that elevates original IP and risky genre-mixing. Not to be weirdly meta and self-deprecating, but I’m not Tom Cruise. It’s not like my face on the poster alone can guarantee a certain amount of opening. The fact that movies like this are going to be seen and enjoyed by audiences just bodes well for others like it, and that is a very exciting version of our industry: one that’s experimental and doesn’t rely on being part of a pre-existing franchise to expect success.
“While you’re making it, you can’t help but wonder, ‘If we got to make more, what would they be?” So much of what we do is in service of the people who watch it. So I think the idea of people wanting more and being able to deliver is so wonderful.
“I just feel so grateful that it all has gone the way that it has, from the trailer coming out and people really embracing her, people going out and supporting the movie and seeing it and going back with their friends. The fact that they want more is just so great. It’s gonna be really fun if we get to work on it, to figure out how we can zig and zag that around the expectations of what it would be and try to keep things surprising while also delivering on the reasons that people want more in the first place.”
And, after the success of ‘Get Out’ and ‘M3GAN’, Allison is enjoying the horror genre, although she still wants to work on other movies.
She said: “I follow interesting characters and interesting stories and scripts, and they just kept leading me in this direction! I think also now, it’s easy for people to picture me in the genre, so I get more things in this realm. But I also read things in other genres and other mediums — I just filmed a limited series [Showtime’s ‘Fellow Travelers’] that’s very dramatic and historical fiction. So it’s a very different genre, but I’m still playing someone that we are wondering what she’s experiencing throughout.”

‘Okay, so she’s normal’: Kate Winslet put her on-screen daughter in Avatar 2 at ease with a hug

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Winslet instantly put her on-screen daughter Bailey Bass at ease on the set of ‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’.
The 19-year-old actress plays Tsireya, the daughter of Tonowari (Cliff Curtis) and Ronal (Winslet), who are the leaders of the aquatic Metkayina clan, in the sci-fi sequel.
And the newcomer was nervous about working alongside the ‘Titanic’ legend, but she made her feel relaxed and even hugged her when they met.
Speaking to the latest issue of Empire magazine, Bailey said of her A-list co-star: “I was freaking out because it was like, ‘It’s Rose from ‘Titanic!’
We’re in rehearsals and she comes in … gives me the biggest hug.
“I’m like, ‘Okay, so she’s normal.’
You could talk about anything and she is there for you.”
The teenager says the film has ” truly changed [her] life”.
She said: “It’s something that doesn’t happen every day. My mom’s a single mom and she hustled so hard, and for her to see her kid’s dream come true … you put aside all the incredible things that can happen like being able to financially support your family, but more than that, ‘Avatar’ started my career. It truly changed my life.”
Kate recently revealed she has her children to thank for convincing her to take a role in the film.
The 47-year-old actress reunited with her ‘Titanic’ director James Cameron to appear in his long-awaited sequel to the 2009 flick, and she agreed to play Ronal after a phone call from the filmmaker sent her brood into a frenzy.
She told People magazine: “He called me and described the role, and I thought, ‘That sounds amazing’, and my kids were like ‘Oh my God, mom, you have to do it!’”

Steven Spielberg collaborator John Williams backtracks on retiring

OHMYGOSSIP — Steven Spielberg’s longtime composer John Williams is not retiring.
Williams had previously insisted that the upcoming ‘Indiana Jones’ movie would be his last but admitted that after working with Spielberg on ‘The Fabelmans’, he is not ready to give up work.
Speaking to Variety, during a joint appearance with Spielberg, John, 90, said: “Well, Steven is a lot of things. He’s a director, he’s a producer, he’s a studio head, he’s a writer, he’s a philanthropist, he’s an educator. One thing he isn’t is a man you can say no to.”
A shocked Steven replied at the American Cinematheque event: “You never told me that before today.”
And John went on: “I had a 90th birthday and I met a woman at my age up in Boston. She was a very nice lady, exactly the same age as I, and I said to her, the greatest decade in a man’s life is 80 to 90, if you have your health, because if you get to 90, there’s an enormous compensation. You see everything with such magnetic vision that you see the most beautiful thing in the world are Peruvian butterflies. There’s nothing more beautiful than that. And so it’s the greatest decade.
“And she said, ‘No, the greatest decade in a person’s life is 90 to 100. So I’ll stick around for a while… But also, you can’t retire from music. I said earlier, it’s like breathing. It’s your life. It’s my life. And so a day without music is a mistake.”
Steven, 76, quipped: “I gotta get working, to find out what the hell I’m doing next.”
Spielberg and Williams have worked together for over 50 years and the director said: “It’s very hard to sum it up because we’re still in it together, and so I feel when I start to think about summing it up, it’s almost like we’re both retiring at the same time. I just found out that he’s not. So, obviously this is a whole new wrinkle to the story, other pages, other chapters.”

Don Cheadle refuses to watch his own movies

OHMYGOSSIP — Don Cheadle refuses to watch his own movies.
The ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ star has acted in more than 100 films, but he avoids watching himself back on screen, even walking out of premieres when they start screening his flicks.
Asked by Empire magazine what the last movie he walked out of was, he replied: “Because I didn’t like it? I wouldn’t like to say.
“But the last time would have been one of my movies.
“If I’m at a premiere and they turn the lights off, I can leave now.
“I’m not going to watch stuff I’m in.”
Meanwhile, the 58-year-old actor recently revealed he was given two hours to decide if he wanted to sign a six-movie contract with Marvel.
The Golden Globe winner made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as James Rhodes/ War Machine in ‘Iron Man 2’, and he had to make a speedy decision about dedicating himself to mystery flicks in the blockbuster franchise.
Recalling the day he got the part, Don told GQ magazine: “I was at my kid’s laser tag birthday party. They called me and said, ‘This is what’s happening and we’re giving you the offer. If you don’t say yes then we’re going to the next person. This is going to happen very fast. Why don’t you take an hour and decide if you want to do it.’
“It was a six-movie deal! In an hour I have to decide?”
Cheadle revealed how he quizzed Marvel on what the other five movies would be but was given limited information.
He said of the studio’s reply: “It’s going to be these Avengers and this is what it is, so you have to say yes or no.”
When he enquired about the trajectory of his character, he was told: “We don’t know any of that but this is what it is so you’ve got an hour.
“So we played laser tag for two hours and I was talking to my wife and we thought about it and talked to my agent and tried to get as much information as we could.”

Davina McCall and boyfriend living together

OHMYGOSSIP — Davina McCall and her boyfriend have moved in together.
The ‘Masked Singer’ judge and her hairdresser boyfriend Michael Douglas, 48, – who went public with their romance in 2019 – have been living together for the past month and are happier than ever.
Davina, 55, who divorced her second husband, Matthew Robertson, in 2017, said on her podcast ‘Making The Cut’: “I am quite enjoying as a new couple doing new things, because we are newly living together.
“It’s quite nice making new traditions because we did that before Christmas, we sat down together and talked about it: ‘Ok, blank space, what shall we make tradition from now on?’.”
Davina has daughters Holly, 21, and Tilly 19, and 16-year-old son Chester with her former husband Matthew.
Meanwhile, she recently revealed that she would love to present a to front a “mid-life” ‘Love Island’ spin-off.
The former ‘Big Brother’ presenter suggested a middle-aged version of the ITV2 dating competition to the network’s bosses, because she believes the Islanders would have “the best backstories”, and the channel were already thinking about “something similar”.
She said: “I’m literally begging ITV to let me present mid-life ‘Love Island’.
“I could fill a villa in ‘Love Island’ with middle-aged people with the best backstories you have ever heard in your life.
“They’ve lived a life, they’re widows, they’re people who have been through horrific divorces. They’re people who have split up with somebody and decided they want to try going out with people of the same sex.
“They are interesting people, I’d watch that show! They said, ‘We’re thinking of doing something similar, we’ll think about you for that.’
“Well if I hadn’t sent that email they would have never though of me!”

Laura Anderson and Gary Lucy split?

OHMYGOSSIP — Laura Anderson and Gary Lucy have reportedly split up.
One year after meeting on ‘Celebs Go Dating’, the former ‘Love Island’ star and the ‘Hollyoaks’ actor have gone their separate ways.
A source told The Sun: “They are calling it a break but it looks unlikely they will get back together.
“They want different things at the end of the day.”
Laura, 33, has deleted all pictures of Gary, 41, from her Instagram account and even unfollowed him on the platform.
The pair have not yet confirmed their split although Laura hinted at the break-up on her Instagram Stories.
She shared a picture of herself with her dog Buddy and wrote: “I know I’ve been quiet on here and not myself this week or so.
“I’m going through a very difficult time, I actually don’t think I’ve ever felt so stressed in my life.
“As we know Instagram isn’t real life but over sharing negativity has never been something like doing. Anyway my thought of the day for us all is – Never lose yourself or your voice.”
The break-up comes after Laura helped nurse Gary back to health when he was involved in a horror car smash over the Christmas holiday period.
And Gary previously admitted he wanted Laura to move to Essex and meet his four children.
He said: “Well, everyone on the show keeps talking weddings and kids and all that… It’s lovely. I mean, long may that continue really. I enjoy every part.
“I want to bring her back to mine, roast dinner with my mum, because her approval is important, and then chill. I want to get her down to Essex with me. I think she’s an Essex girl at heart.”
