Alex Reid and Nikki Manashe expecting twins

OHMYGOSSIP — Alex Reid and his fiancee Nikki Manashe are expecting twins.
The 47-year-old reality TV star and influencer Nikki, 36 – who welcomed daughter Anastasia in 2021 after a seven-year IVF battle – were shocked to discover that Nikki is pregnant with non-identical twins after she had two embryos implanted during her latest round of treatment.
Nikki told MailOnline: “It’s crazy a woman, who was told ‘you probably won’t be able to have children’, and has had fertility struggles is now going to be a mum-of-three.
“We were just absolutely shocked to be honest. I know people will say well how can you be shocked because you had embryos put in? but Anastasia was a twin as well and we lost her twin really early on in pregnancy.
“It’s still early days, everything is going so perfectly. Both of them healthy, their growing how they should be. We’re super, super excited and we’re going to have a crazy busy household.”
Nikki previously suffered an ectopic pregnancy and had six miscarriages before falling pregnant with Anastasia.
She said: “I had the most horrific PTSD. I didn’t leave the house at some points. It’s in my bones to be a mum.
“I’m so maternal. Having so much loss from my Mum and all these miscarriages. It was such a dark, sad place.
“I did lose hope, but there was something in me that was like ‘don’t give up, keep going, you’ve got this’.”

Gabrielle Union working on Bring It On sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Gabrielle Union is working on a ‘Bring It On’ sequel.
The 50-year-old actress starred as cheerleader Isis, the leader of cheer team The Clovers, in the 2000 movie ‘Bring It On’ and Gabrielle has revealed that she wants to bring The Clovers back to the big screen with their own story.
Speaking to Variety, she said: “We’ve been developing a sequel forever. But for folks who don’t exactly understand how long development can take in Hollywood, that could be five minutes or 50 years.”
Gabrielle previously revealed that she and her fellow Clovers – R B girl group Blaque members Shamari Fears DeVoe, Brandi Williams, and the late Natina Reed – were asked to return to shoot additional scenes after test audiences requested more screen time for them.
She said: “Story time. So we shot these snippets after the movie wrapped because once test audiences saw the movie, they wanted more of the Clovers.
“We shot these only for the trailer, not for the movie to make people think we were in the movie more than we were. The end.”
And, she admitted to having regrets about how she portrayed her character.
She said: “I was given full reign to do whatever I wanted with Isis in ‘Bring It On’, and I chose respectability and to be classy and take the high road because I felt like that would make her be appropriate — the right kind of Black girl. Black girls aren’t allowed to be angry — certainly not demonstratively angry — and I muzzled her.
“I need to come to grips and acknowledge where I failed Isis. When given full control, I made her ‘appropriate.’
“I would have read the Toros for filth, as well as allowed her to be angry and allowed her her full humanity. Part of being a full human is the ability to express rage when harmed.”
The movie, directed by Peyton Reed, follows Toro cheer captain Torrance Shipman (Kirsten Dunst) of Rancho Carne High who learns that the former captain of her squad had been stealing routines from the Clovers, a rival cheer team from East Compton.

Colin Farrell had genuine bond with donkey in The Banshees of Inisherin

OHMYGOSSIP — Colin Farrell was “fond” of the donkey in ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’.
The 46-year-old actor – who plays Padraic, a man left distraught when his best pal Colm (Brendan Gleeson) abruptly ends their friendship – shares a lot of screen time with a miniature donkey in the movie and he admitted their bond was very genuine.
He told OK! magazine: “Through the years, I’ve worked with a lot [of animals]. I’ve worked with horses and dogs. This was the first time I’ve worked with a donkey, but she was great.
“She’s such a very real and very present part of the film and the landscape, but also Padraic’s emotional world.
“She’s a rescue donkey of sorts. She rescues him from his own boredom and his own kind of banality. Daily.
“The bond that we ended up having on screen might not be a result of that editorial smoke and mirrors, shall we say.
“I was well fond of her. She was very sweet.”
Meanwhile, Colin’s expressive eyebrows caught viewers’ attention in the film but he has insisted he doesn’t actually have control of them.
He laughed: “They do their own thing. They’re lie the Energizer bunnies at times. I don’t know. They operate exclusive of my intention, I can tell you that for sure.
“’Cause if I act scared they go, ‘Oh sweet Jesus’. Yeah, they do their own thing. Apparently, the more I’m perturbed, the more active they are.
“So they got a good lash in this film.”

Freddie Flintoff ‘undecided about Top Gear return’

OHMYGOSSIP — Freddie Flintoff is said to be undecided about returning to ‘Top Gear’.
The former cricketer was airlifted to hospital in December after being involved in a horror smash at the show’s test track at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey and insiders have claimed that Freddie, 45, is considering his future on the show.
A source alleged to The Times newspaper that Freddie is “psychologically traumatised” from the crash.
Meanwhile, Freddie’s son Corey, 16, said his dad was “lucky to be alive” after his ‘Top Gear’ crash.
Corey told MailOnline: “He’s OK. I’m not too sure what happened but he is lucky to be alive.
“It was a pretty nasty crash. It is shocking. We are all shocked but just hope he’s going to be OK.”
And, a spokesman for ‘Top Gear’ confirmed the incident was being “fully investigated” to see what went wrong.
They said: “Our primary concern is the welfare of Freddie – as well as the ‘Top Gear’ team.
“All health and safety procedures were followed on site and the incident is now being fully investigated in line with standard policy and procedure.”
Freddie became a presenter of ‘Top Gear’ in 2019, and the former England captain was involved in a crash shortly after joining the BBC show.
The incident happened during a drag race involving fellow presenters Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris.
He said at the time: “I go to great lengths to make sure I do well in ‘Top Gear’ drag races but, on this occasion, I went a few lengths too far. It will look more ridiculous than dangerous when you see it on TV.”

Christine McGuinness tried to be the ‘perfect wife’

OHMYGOSSIP — Christine McGuinness says she tried to be the “perfect wife” to Paddy McGuinness.
The pair announced their split in July 2022 and Christine – who was diagnosed with autism while working on the documentary ‘Our Family and Autism’ – revealed she struggled to be a good wife while “masking”.
She explained to Psychologies magazine: “I’d always wanted to be a wife so once I met Patrick, I fully went into ‘perfect wife’ mode, you know, ‘I’ll stay in, I’ll cook and clean and make sure I’m the best wife I can be’.
“I was always pretending to be something else rather than simply just me, that’s all part of masking.”
Christine, 34, and Paddy, 49, are still living together and have not yet told their children, twins Penelope and Leo, nine, and daughter Felicity, seven – who have all been diagnosed with autism – about their split.
She said: “We don’t want any dramatic changes overnight so it’s going to be a slow process moving forward, we don’t really know what the future holds.”
Speaking previously she said: “We’re amicable. I’m quite happy for him to be there with the children and it’s nice for them to see Mummy and Daddy just being alright. We can sit and have a cup of tea together and that’s fine.”
Christine is said to be working on a new documentary about her own autism diagnosis, called ‘Unmasking My Autism’.

Gemma Atkinson reveals she’s pregnant

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Atkinson is pregnant.
The 38-year-old actress has announced via social media that she’s expecting her second child with Gorka Marquez.
Alongside some black-and-white photos of her growing baby bump, Gemma – who already has Mia, three, with the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star – wrote on Instagram: “Impossible to hide my belly any longer. I’ve officially “popped”. Our baby boy will be joining our family later this year.
“We feel so incredibly blessed and Grateful to be on this journey again. Mia is absolutely thrilled!
“Although we may need to do some negotiating on names, as so far she’s adamant he’s going to be called Barbie. (sic)”
Gemma and Gorka met when the actress competed on ‘Strictly’ in 2017, and the loved-up couple got engaged in February 2021.
However, the soap star previously revealed that they decided to postpone their wedding due to their busy schedules.
She explained: “Gorka is literally on tour all of this year. We’ve only got four days off together.
“He’s got the two ‘Strictly’ tours back to back, and then he’ll be going on ‘Strictly’ in the autumn. We don’t even have a minute to sit down and begin making plans!”
Gemma also opened up about her experience of motherhood, admitting that her body “doesn’t look like it did” since giving birth.
She shared: “My body doesn’t look like it did before. It’s changed after having a baby, but that made me more determined to do [a photoshoot for a magazine] – my body is not better or worse, just different.
“Maybe it’s important to show that to other women? … I was always straight up and down, like a surfboard, but now I’ve got a bit of a waist.
“When I put on high-waisted jeans, you can see I’ve got hips. I reckon I’m about three percent J-Lo now, so I’m happy with that.”

Snooker champion Stephen Hendry leaves The Masked Singer

OHMYGOSSIP — Snooker champion Stephen Hendry has been unmasked as Rubbish on ‘The Masked Singer’.
The 54-year-old sports star has become the latest celebrity to leave the ITV show, after he found himself in the bottom two alongside Jacket Potato.
The show’s judging panel – which includes Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross and Davina McCall – ultimately opted to save Jacket Potato, meaning Stephen was sent home from the competition.
Asked why he wanted to appear on ‘The Masked Singer’, Stephen said: “I love the show and it’s way out of my comfort zone so I thought why not give it a go!”
The sportsman actually thought that he’d be easy to identify for the judges, as he was such an unlikely participant.
He said: “I thought it was so obvious because it was me.”
Stephen also explained why he opted to wear the Rubbish costume.
He said: “Do you know why? Because I thought, I’m not gonna be able to dance very much in this…”
Jacket Potato, on the other hand, managed to impress the judges with their rendition of ‘Hallelujah’.
Following Jacket Potato’s performance, Rita said: “Wow, wow, wow, that was unbelievable – I’ve never heard it sung in that way.”
Joel Dommett, the show’s host, then quipped: “Well, I think it would be weird if you had heard it in that way, with a jacket potato singing it.”
Rita, 32, then replied with a joke of her own.
She said: “Come on, don’t butter me up the wrong way, Joel.”
Meanwhile, Stephen’s exit means that Jacket Potato, Pigeon, Rhino and Fawn will all progress to the next round of the ITV show.

Love Island’s Aaron Waters open to moving to the UK

OHMYGOSSIP — Aaron Waters is “100 per cent” open to moving to the UK if he finds love on ‘Love Island’.
The 25-year-old hunk – who was runner up on the Australian version of the show in 2021 – is ready for romance in South Africa and is particularly attracted to northern accents, though the only hopeful who would fit the bill is 22-year-old Liverpudlian Tanya Mahenga.
He told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “I honestly feel like a lot of the UK girls are very articulate and hold themselves very well.
“Some of the accents are so hot. I can’t remember exactly but I think it’s the Manchester accent.
“I can’t wait to [date a UK girl]. I’d sway more to the side of moving to the UK but if we got really serious and were going strong it would also be cool to take her to Australia.”
When he took part in the Australian show, Aaron coupled up with Jess Velkovski, but they split up three months after the programme ended.
He reflected: “It was well over a year ago. Our connection wasn’t as strong as people thought and it never got that far, unfortunately.”
Aaron recently insisted he is “different” to all the other guys taking part in ‘Love Island’ this winter.
He said: “It was divine timing, I think it is the perfect opportunity for me to finally meet someone. Besides being an Aussie, I’m different to most because I have a sense of awareness of who I am and what I’m looking for.
“When I’m talking to girls it’s not on a surface level, I can dive deeper to try and build a connection. I’m loyal, honest, great at communication and self-awareness so when it comes to dealing with obstacles and adversity in a relationship. I’m able to talk openly about how I feel to try and work around things. I think the key to any good relationship is being content in yourself and I’m very happy in myself and who I am. I’m also very good looking, obviously!”
‘Love Island’ airs at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.

Christian Bale thought Batman would be his last ever role

OHMYGOSSIP — Christian Bale didn’t think he’d ever work again after portraying Batman.
The ‘Pale Blue Eye’ actor was warned he’d run the risk of being typecast and damaging his career when he accepted the role of the Caped Crusader in ‘Batman Begins’ and admitted he was “tempted” by the prospect.
Christian – who played Batman in a further two films – said: “I’ve had no strategy for anything I’ve ever done. I was quite taken with the idea of Batman being the last thing I ever did, the thing I’m remembered for.
“I was also tempted by the fact that people said I might be typecast and not work again. But I’ve kept on working.”
When it comes to starting a new job, Christian – whose first film, ‘Empire of the Sun’, was made when he was just 13 – approaches it like he’s never worked before.
He explained to Radio Times magazine: “I like approaching every film as though it’s the first film I’ve ever made and it’s the last film I’m ever going to make, so not going in with any arrogance.”
And despite his years of success, the 47-year-old star insisted he still doesn’t know what he’s doing on set so would never offer advice to his co-stars.
Discussing working with Harry Melling on ‘Pale Blue Eye’, he said: “Harry knows what he’s doing, I can’t teach him anything. What kind of an a*** would I be if I said, ‘Harry, let me sit you down for a second and teach you a thing or two about acting?’
“I don’t know what I’m doing, I don’t know why I keep getting cast in things.”
Christian also doesn’t worry about what his career legacy will be.
He added: “I’ve heard someone say, ‘If you want to remembered, shoot a president’ but if you want to have a legacy, you’ve got to do something good.’ It’s the last thing on my mind.”

John Fashanu treating the ice ‘like his wife’

OHMYGOSSIP — John Fashanu has been treating the ice like his “wife” while training for ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The 60-year-old former footballer explained his professional partner Alexandra Schauman had given him some valuable advice to help him remember to be “gentle” on the rink, but the three-times married star joked his former spouses would see his antics differently.
He said: “Alex, my coach, she said something which has stayed with me all the time, ‘Treat the ice like you would treat your wife’, meaning softly, gently, be patient.
“So now when I go down I don’t act like I am in a tantrum – I just go down with a bit of composure and get up gently.
“My wife doesn’t agree – that’s why she left me.”
John is the oldest contestant on the show but insisted he’s the picture of good health and relishing the challenge of trying something “completely new”.
He told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: “There is no other sport which is like this, this is a new thing completely.”
“They were stringent [with the medical checks]. They had to check that we were OK, and as a footballer I’m used to all these checks. Thank goodness there’s nothing wrong with me at all.”
The former ‘Gladiators’ host was among the first contestants to be announced for the show, and when his name was revealed in October, he admitted he found the idea of competing “scary”, but he was in it to win it.
He said: “I’m so excited to be a part of ‘Dancing on Ice’.
“I don’t think it’ll come as a surprise to people that I’m very competitive – I am definitely in it to win it. And this may be one of the scariest things I’ve ever signed up for but I couldn’t be more ready for the challenge!”

Anne Hathaway found Eileen script ‘really challenging’

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Hathaway found the ‘Eileen’ script “really challenging” because it is “unusually smart”.
The 40-year-old actress portrays psychologist Rebecca, who develops a destructive and complicated bond with prison worker Eileen – who is played by Thomasin McKenzie – in William Oldroyd’s adaptation of Ottessa Moshfegh’s book of the same name and although she was quickly drawn to the project, she had to read through the author and her husband Luke Geobel’s screenplay a few times before she was able to feel ready.
She admitted: “I actually found the script really challenging the first time I read it. I found it really dark and really funny but it’s a tricky one. It’s so smart. it’s actually unusually smart, so it took me a few reads to feel like I had the beginnings of a handle on it.”
Anne initially wanted to sign up for the film because she loved the director’s 2016 film ‘Lady Macbeth’, which starred Florence Pugh.
Speaking at Deadline’s Sundance Studio, she said: “I came to this as a fan of Will’s. I’d seen Lady Macbeth and like probably a lot of people I thought it was the freshest thing I’d seen in ages. So when the script [for ‘Eileen’] came in I was inclined to say yes.”
Meanwhile, Thomasin prepared for the film by reading the book, which she described as a “bible for the character” and put her own notes into a 32-page document, which she sent to a prison psychologist in her native New Zealand for some input.
She said: “I was really curious about what it was like to work inside of a prison. Especially for a woman, because it was a prison for men and the majority of people working at the prison were men. So I thought it would be quite a vulnerable place for a young woman to work.
“The psychologist also gave me great insight into Eileen and what she might be struggling with. It was a lot of research into mental health, which is something I’m very interested in generally.
“There was a diagnosis, but I don’t want to say what it was, because it presents differently for everybody.”

Rylan Clark treated himself ‘like a toddler’ to heal after breakdown

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark treated himself “like a toddler” when he was recovering from a breakdown.
The 34-year-old TV presenter hit rock bottom when he separated from his husband Dan Neal in 2021 after six years together, and found the key to his recovery was to praise himself every time he accomplished a small task, such as switching on the kettle or getting into the shower.
He said: “I couldn’t make my mum a cup of tea. I had the fear.
“I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t listen to music and I couldn’t watch TV.
“What I look back on is little things. You need to look at yourself like a toddler.
“Going to the kitchen and pressing the button on the kettle is a step.
“The day that you go, ‘I’m just going to press the button — I’m not making the tea, let it boil, f*** it off’.
“The day you do that, that’s a little step.
“And the reason I say toddler is because you sit and applaud yourself for that.
“I remember I didn’t want to clean myself. I didn’t want to shower.
“I remember the first step, another step on that ladder, I would turn the shower on then go away then turn it off.
“That’s one step. I’d turn the shower on, I’d put my leg in and turn it off and go away.
“My mum was on at me, ‘You’ve got to have a shower’, and I didn’t want to make her upset.
“I just went under the water, come out — like when you’re faking it as a kid — and come out in a towel and sort of pretended I’d had a shower.
“I didn’t wash myself, I didn’t have shower gel, I didn’t wash my hair, but that was a step.
“A few days later I did put shampoo in my hair.”
And the ‘Supermarket Sweep’ host knew he was the only one who could help himself, no matter how much support he had around him.
Speaking on the High Performance’ podcast, he said: “I know that feeling of people trying to help you, your loved ones, like my mum, my family, my friends trying to help me.
“People saying, ‘Snap out of it’ ain’t going to help you.
“But the one thing I know and I can say, hand-on-heart, is the only person who’ll get you out is you.
“If you’re not at that point, that’s all right. Sit there and stew.
“Being in that situation, you might as well be deaf and blind at the same time because you cannot see and you cannot hear.”
The former ‘X Factor’ contestant has learned to worry less about “the small stuff” after going through his difficult period.
He said: “Before I went through my episode, things would really bug me.
“But now — I hate the term because it’s such a cliche term — but it’s a full-on case of ‘don’t sweat the small stuff’.
“I just remind myself, ‘Listen, that’s not going to happen, not a problem, you’re all right, you’ve got your health, you’ve got your house, you’ve got your car, you’ve got some money in the bank, you’re all right’. ”

Jane Fonda went ‘weak at the knees’ around Tom Brady

OHMYGOSSIP — Jane Fonda got “weak at the knees” when Tom Brady was filming ’80 For Brady’.
The 85-year-old actress stars with Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno and Sally Field in the upcoming comedy, which sees four friends win tickets to the Super Bowl and make it their mission to meet the NFL star and the screen legend loved being around the hunky sportsman.
She said: “Oh yeah, his presence just filled up the whole trailer and I got weak in the knees. He was so sweet.”
But Rita quipped: “Boy, do I have bad knees. It has nothing to do with Tom Brady.”
Meanwhile, because Sally is a big football fan, she appointed herself the “welcoming committee” on set because she wanted the NFL stars who had cameos in the movie to feel at ease.
She explained to ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I didn’t want them to feel- you know, they’re coming on our turf now.
“I would feel really scared if I were going on a football field and playing football.
“So I stood out there and welcomed them and drove up and said, ‘Hi, I’m Sally. Can I get you some coffee?'”
The quartet had a great time making the movie but Jane pushed Rita too far during the filming of one scene.
She recalled: “We were all working together and everybody had to move very fast and be in the right place at the right time… Having worked seven years with Lily, I was used to kind of pushing her around if she was a little bit off her mark.
“Rita was, there was a problem, she wasn’t moving fast enough to her seat so that then Lily could come, so I pulled on her jacket and I think I pushed her at one point…”
Rita interrupted: “And I was offended.”
But the ‘West Side Story’ actress quickly called her co-star out on the incident, and Jane was pleased they had it out in the open.
Jane said: “[Over] the weekend, she sent me a text and she said, ‘Not on my watch. I am 90 years old, you do not treat me like that. This is a film about women’s friendship and that will not stand, that kind of behaviour. You cannot push me and you cannot do that.
“And I was just like, oh that is so great, because you know what a guy would have done? He would’ve harboured a grudge.
“She got it out and she didn’t harbour it for the whole [movie], you know?”

Cate Blanchett didn’t consider Lydia Tar’s gender or sexuality

OHMYGOSSIP — Cate Blanchett insisted her ‘Tar’ character’s sexuality and gender don’t matter.
The 53-year-old actress portrays world-renowned conductor Lydia Tar – who sees her career plunge into freefall amid sexual misconduct allegations – in the new movie and she believes the film just shows a “very human portrait”.
She told OK! magazine: “Strangely, I don’t think about the character’s gender, nor her sexuality at all. And I think I love that about the film.
“It’s a very human portrait. And I think we have perhaps matured enough as a species that we can watch a film like this and not make that the headline issue.
“And I found that really, really exciting.”
The Australian star – who has won a string of awards for her performance in the film – thinks the movie has a “lot of tentacles” because it explores so many different topics.
Asked what the film is about, she said: “For me, it changes day-to-day. It has a lot of tentacles.
“I woke up this morning thinking that one way of regarding it is as a sort of meditation on power.
“Not just institutional power, you know, unequal relationship power – the power of the self versus the power of the group, which an orchestra is.”
One of the reasons why Cate signed up for the movie was the opportunity to work with writer-and-director Todd Field.
She added: “I definitely wanted to work with Todd. We’d talked about doing that before. I knew he was wonderful. He’s such a renaissance man.
“He’s an extraordinary musician and writer and he’s an actor. He’s a superlative director and an incredible editor.”

John Fashanu first celeb voted off 2023’s ‘Dancing on Ice’

OHMYGOSSIP — John Fashanu is the first celebrity to be voted off 2023’s ‘Dancing on Ice.’
The former footballer, 60, compared being ditched from the show to a FA Cup final, and joked he may go on to teach people how to skate.
He lost out on Sunday’s (22.01.23) show after gaining the least points from the judges after his performance, and failing to get enough votes from the public in a skate-off against Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu – who landed herself in the bottom two by receiving the least amount of public votes.
Speaking to co-hosts Phillip Schofield, 60, and Holly Willoughby, 41, with his professional skating partner Alexandra Schauman, 42, after his exit was announced, John said when asked if he had enjoyed his brief stint on the show: “Oh, it’s been great.”
He added it was like the FA Cup final all over again.
When Phillip asked: “Will you carry on skating?” John replied: “Oh yes! I shall carry on skating and who knows, I might even start teaching people.”
John and Alexandra scored 19 out of 40 points for their sporty performance, and skating icon judge Christopher Dean, 64, told John: “I think you are the most improved skater since bootcamp. You were a liability in bootcamp, but you made it, you were steady out there.”
Former ‘Love Island’ contestant Ekin-Su, 27, recreated a scene from the ITV2 reality show where she crawled on the ground and prompted more than 100 Ofcom complaints from viewers who thought the routine was too raunchy for the series.
She said before her skate-off against John: “I’m not going to lie, I was really upset thinking what have I done wrong but I’m strong. I need to work hard and prove myself.”
Her fellow contestant The Vivienne – real name James Lee Williams – made history on the ITV show by becoming the first drag queen to perform.
The 30 year old and her pro partner Colin Grafton, 31, scored a total of 28.5 out of 40, with judges Ashley Banjo, 34, Oti Mabuse, 32, and Jayne Torvill, 65, scoring her 7, while Chris gave a 7.5.
Oti praised The Vivienne’s first performance by saying: “If you are going to make history, this is how you make history – congratulations!”
Chris added: “A star was born on the ice tonight. Our very own diva on ice, but you are our best skating by far.”
He went on to quote Cher by saying: “We all invent ourselves, but some just have more imagination.”
Actress Carley Stenson, 40, and her professional partner Mark Hanretty, 37, topped the leaderboard with the highest score of the series so far.
‘Dancing on Ice’ airs on Sunday nights at 6.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with the programme continuing next weekend for the third show of the new series.
