James Mangold in talks to direct Swamp Thing

OHMYGOSSIP — James Mangold is in talks to direct ‘Swamp Thing’ for DC Studios.
Insiders claim that the 59-year-old filmmaker is a big fan of the supernatural hero and approached new DC Studios bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran with his idea for the movie.
Mangold has previous in the superhero genre after writing and directing ‘Logan’, the third ‘Wolverine’ film starring Hugh Jackman that is regarded as the pinnacle of the ‘X-Men’ franchise.
However, the director has a busy schedule as he is helming ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’, which will be released in May, and the Bob Dylan biopic ‘A Complete Unknown’ – which will star Timothee Chalamet as the legendary singer-songwriter.
The director’s interest in ‘Swamp Thing’ comes shortly after Gunn and Safran announced the first 10 film and TV titles within their rebooted DC Universe. The pair explained that the films will make up Chapter 1 of the DCU, which they are calling ‘Gods and Monsters’.
Safran has revealed that the film will “investigate the dark origins” of the DC Comics character through the prism of horror.
Gunn added: “This is a much more horrific film, but we’ll still have Swamp Thing interact with the other characters.”
‘Swamp Thing’ was created by the writer Len Wein and horror artist Bernie Wrightson and made his first appearance in the comics in 1971. He first appeared on the big screen in the 1982 flick ‘Swamp Thing’, which was directed by horror legend Wes Craven.
The character also headlined a short-lived TV series in 2019.

Dave Bautista still waiting for Guardians of the Galaxy ‘closure’

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Bautista is yet to get “closure” following his ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ exit.
The 54-year-old star will play the role of Drax the Destroyer for the final time in the upcoming ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ and revealed that his exit is yet to sink in as he quickly needed to start work on ‘Knock at the Cabin’ after finishing the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) blockbuster.
Dave told Digital Spy: “When I wrapped on the film, it was a Friday night in Los Angeles. I wrapped on the film, and I was immediately rushed off to get on a plane to go to Philadelphia to start filming ‘Knock at the Cabin’ on Monday.
“So, I never really got the chance to say goodbye to everyone. There was never really that moment to kind of let it sit in, and that realisation of that closure.
“It hasn’t really hit me yet. I’ve been talking about it but the emotions haven’t hit me. And I know they will when I see the film, and when I see everyone on the press tour, and we’re saying goodbye.”
The former WWE star is “open-minded” about his next film role as long as he gets the chance to work alongside “talented” performers.
Dave said: “I’m open-minded to any role. I’m open-minded to any genre. I’m just open-minded about my career. It depends on what the role is. It depends on what I’m working with.
“I just want to work with very talented people… I gauge my success on the people that I’m working with. I don’t need an Academy Award. It doesn’t mean anything to me… Being in the conversation means something to me.
“Working with people who have won Academy Awards means something to me, because that’s the way I can gauge how far I’ve come since I started acting.”

Kitty Scott-Claus and Bobby Davro to take part in Celebrity Mastermind

OHMYGOSSIP — Kitty Scott-Claus, Bobby Davro, Shaparak Khorsandi and Matt Richardson are to take part in ‘Celebrity Mastermind’.
They will join ‘Most Haunted’ presenter Yvette Fielding, ‘The Apprentice’ winner Harpreet Kaur, comedian Suzi Ruffell and several other stars taking their turn in the famous black chair, where they will answer questions on topics as varied as Concorde, Morecambe and Wise, and ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ on the star-studded edition of the BBC One quiz show.
The first episode of the season – which kicks off on Saturday (04.02.23) at 5.35pm – will feature comedy legend Bobby, TV cook Suzie Lee, ex Olympic skier Graham Bell and BBC Radio 1 host Remi Burgz taking on their specialist subjects of Gilbert O’Sullivan, Bridget Jones, Stevie Ray Vaughan and salmon.
The show’s host Clive Myrie said: “Our fantastic celebrity line-ups are always a brave bunch. All in the name of charity, they willingly step out of their comfort zones in order to face the icy embrace of the famous black chair. Will they crack under the pressure? Viewers will have to tune in to find out.”
Jimmy Mulville, the managing director at Hat Trick Productions, said: “Given how popular ‘Celebrity Mastermind’ is proving with audiences it’s clear that watching them squirm answering difficult questions in a leather chair is providing a real public service in these difficult times!”
Clive – who took over from John Humphries as the show’s presenter in 2021 – knows the responsibility of his gig.
Last year, he said: “’Mastermind’ is the pinnacle of quizzing, in my humble opinion, and pulls in two million viewers or more.
“The people who go on the show are people in little leagues who do it in the pub every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night.
“They train for it in the way an athlete would for an important event. Some contestants have been waiting for this moment for years.”

Simon Cowell’s ‘head set on fire’ during Britain’s Got Talent filming

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell’s head was set on fire during the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ auditions.
The ‘BGT’ judge got a little too involved in the audition process for the ITV1 show when a silent and sleuthy magician took him up onto the stage and covered Simon’s face with a hood, which he proceeded to douse in lighter fluid.
The former ‘X Factor’ judge’s head was then locked into a box, which was then opened at the front for the audience at the London Palladium to see, before a flame was dropped in, setting alight to the 63-year-old music mogul.
A member of the audience told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “The audience screamed, judges were out of their seats screaming, everyone was totally stunned. The flames were put out and Simon got up looking a bit shell-shocked while the rest of the judges breathed a sigh of relief as he returned to the panel.”
Simon revealed he “had no idea” what was being dribbled on him.
He said: “I could feel liquid being poured on me but I had no idea it was lighter fluid!”
His fellow judges praised how “brave” he was.
Alesha Dixon ,44, said: “Simon, he set your entire head on fire!
“It was very scary, you are a very brave man to do that. It made me realise how much we care about you, I was ready to come up there and rescue you.”
Amanda Holden, 51, added: “It was massively entertaining but horrific to watch. It was scary.”
New judge Bruno Tonioli, 67, compared the sight to the 2004 horror flick ‘Saw’.
He said: “It reminded me of a scene from that movie, ‘Saw’, seeing Simon’s head in that contraption. I was captivated, I’ve never seen anything like that.”

Oti Mabuse ‘to present new weekend chat show’

OHMYGOSSIP — Oti Mabuse will present a new weekend chat show.
The ‘Dancing on Ice’ judge, 32, is said to be viewed as one of “ITV’s golden girls” – despite her show ‘Romeo and Duet’ lasting just one season – and has been tipped to front a new morning show on Saturdays, with ex ‘Love Island’ host Laura Whitmore taking the reins on Sundays.
It is expected to begin in spring this year on ITV1 and ITVX.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “Oti is still considered one of ITV’s golden girls and bosses are delighted with her as a judge on ‘Dancing On Ice’, so they’re sure she’ll be a hit.”
Katie Piper will also be back for another season of her Sunday morning show, ‘Katie Piper’s Breakfast Show’.
Katie Rawcliffe, ITV and ITVX’s head of Entertainment Commissioning, said: “In Katie, Oti and Laura we have three dynamic, engaging broadcasters who bring energy and flair to our weekend schedules. Each of their shows will give viewers that perfect weekend wake up call.”
Executive producer Amanda Ross added: “We are looking forward to a summer of fun with these three wonderful women driving weekend mornings.
“Their very different personalities give each series a unique flavour, a treat for the viewers and the team!”
In June, Oti’s dating show ‘Romeo and Duet’ – which aimed to show the power of your pipes when it comes to finding love – was axed.
Another source said: “This will be gut-wrenching for Oti as it was her first solo presenting gig since quitting ‘Strictly’ to pursue new opportunities.
“Expectations were high for the programme as she is immensely popular with the public and ‘Romeo and Duet’ was given a prime-time slot.
“Rubbing salt in the wound is the fact that the series hasn’t even finished – the final episode airs this Saturday.”

Con O’Neill teases mind-blowing Happy Valley finale

OHMYGOSSIP — Con O’Neill says the ‘Happy Valley’ finale is mind-blowing.
The BBC drama show’s third and final series will come to an end on Sunday night (05.02.23), and the star – who plays Neil – says creator Sally Wainwright has penned an “extraordinary ending”.
He said: “When I read the script for the last episode, it blew my mind.
“It blew my mind, Sally has written an extraordinary ending to this show.”
‘Chernobyl’ star Con admitted it has been “very easy” to keep the final episode a secret, because it is “just beautiful”.
He said: “We’ve lived with this show for a long, long time. For Sally to bring it home the way she has, it’s very easy to keep it a secret because it’s just beautiful.”
Each episode of the third series has dropped every Sunday since it began on New Year’s Day, and Con admitted it is “refreshing” to have a week in between each ep, especially in a world where streaming services often release all episodes of a season at once.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, she added: “Isn’t it wonderful to not have a show dropping every episode.
“Isn’t it wonderful the tension and the watercooler moment, if that’s still a thing?
“It’s so refreshing to have people that invested.”
Sally recently admitted she feared writing a “duff” third series of the show, which stars Sarah Lancashire as strong-willed police officer Catherine Cawood.
She said: “I was really anxious not to write a duff third season. I really don’t think it is. There’s a very definite climax.”
Sally also promised fans that the show’s conclusion will be “pretty dramatic”.
She added: “A narrative has gone across all three: in season one, Catherine and Tommy came face-to-face outside Ryan’s school, and in season two they almost came face-to-face in the crematorium, at Tommy’s mum’s funeral. In season three, there’s a very big face-to-face showdown. The kind of cathartic showdown that people have waited for. It’s pretty dramatic.”

Ex-Love Island star Danica Taylor: Islander Tom needs to take liability

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Love Island’ star Danica Taylor has hit out at current Islander Tom Clare for “hurting people’s feelings” in the villa.
The 21-year-old star – who took part in last summer’s series of the ITV2 dating show – has called for Tom to “take liability” for what he’s done, after he appeared to lead Olivia Hawkins on and then share a sneaky smooch with fellow contestant Ellie Spence in the same evening.
Danica said: “One girl isn’t enough for Tom – he even prefers a love pentagon to a triangle. He’s a good-looking guy and he’s probably used to having a lot of attention in the real world. I think that right now, he’s just moving how he would outside … it’s just awkward because he keeps getting caught as everyone is in such close proximity to each other all the time.
“He doesn’t seem to realise what he’s actually doing at the moment either. He’s on Planet Tom! He’s running away with himself and getting lost in the sexual energy when what you’re actually on ‘Love Island’ to do is find a connection and build on that romance.
“Maybe none of the girls are the right one for him but even if that’s the case, it doesn’t excuse his behaviour and he needs to realise that he is hurting people’s feelings. Take liability for what you’ve done and be a man about it!”
Danica also believes Olivia should stop “romanticising” Tom’s actions, because she has been in a similar position.
In her latest OK! column, she wrote: “Like a lot of these Islanders, Olivia probably receives a lot of attention on the outside and is used to getting what she wants.
“Now she’s in the villa though, and Tom isn’t giving her that. She’s chasing after him even though she knows he is no good. I’ve been in that position!
“Deep down, she knows he’s not loyal, which won’t be what she wants, but it seems like she’s got carried away with the fantasy of potentially being the one to turn his head and get him to commit. If she was thinking rationally, she’d know she’s so much better than that but her ego is getting the better of her and she doesn’t want to cut it off.”

Vicky McClure would love to work with her ‘idol’ Julie Walters

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky McClure would love to work with her “idol” Julie Walters.
The ‘Line of Duty’ star would opt to collaborate with the ‘Mamma Mia’ star, 72, over her other favourite, rapper Lauryn Hill, 47 – who wrote one of her “favourite” records, ‘The Emancipation of Lauryn Hill’ – and she would even team up with Julie for a scene in which she “didn’t have any lines”.
When asked which one she would prefer to work with for an entire week by her TV producer fiancee Jonathan Owen, 51, the 39-year-old actress told singer Tom Grennan, 27, on his new podcast ‘The Tom Grennan Phone In’: “With me, I think I’m gonna go with my honest answer as well. Julie is my idol.
“And as much as I would love nothing more than to sing with Lauryn Hill, I would butcher that. And I don’t need to sing with her, I just need her to sing that album that I’ve been playing forever … It’s one of my favourite albums of all time.
“But to work with Julie for a week. I mean, to work with Julie in one scene where I don’t have any lines, would be a moment in my career. So I’d definitely go for Julie over Lauryn.”
Vicky also Tom how she “got it so wrong” style-wise at the premiere of Madonna’s directorial debut ‘Filth and Wisdom’ – in which Vicky starred opposite Holly Weston and Richard E. Grant – in 2008.
She said: “Many years ago, I did a film that was directed by Madonna. And we’d made the film and then we went to Berlin on her private jet, and we did this film premiere. And I went to H+M and bought this dress and took my old boots with me and I’d got some leggings on. I got it so wrong. You can Google it.
“So anybody that’s listening if you need to actually see it. I’m just gonna show you like, there was Holly, who was one of the other actresses and she’s great.
“She had done a lovely job with this beautiful suit and then obviously Madonna looking fabulous. Eugene Hutz, he looked incredible. What am I doing? What are these baggy brown boots that are really worn? And this this awful, bless it, dress. Oh, no idea! Did not know!”
Asked what Madonna did, Vicky replied: “She was very kind about it because she never mentioned it, but I bet she was thinking like, ‘What is she wearing? This little cotton dress.’ ”

Amanda Holden: Bruno Tonioli has broken every Britain’s Got Talent rule

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Holden says Bruno Tonioli has “broken every rule” so far on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge joined the panel of the ITV show last month, replacing David Walliams, and he has been filming auditions at The London Palladium alongside fellow panellists Amanda, Alesha Dixon, and Simon Cowell, who may need to “throw out the rulebook” due to Bruno’s antics.
Amanda said: “He’s a wonderful ball of energy and in a good way he’s already broken every rule.
“So much so that Simon will probably have to throw out any rulebook this year.
“It’s going to be a brilliant series. We’ve only filmed auditions in London so far but we can’t wait to get to Manchester for the first time since the pandemic hit.”
The star also joked: “My biggest piece of advice is if you’re playing a musical instrument through an unusual body part, please make sure you go to the toilet first.”
Amanda has been married to husband Chris Hughes – who she has daughters Lexi, 17 and Hollie, 11, with – since 2008, and the pair have a romantic Valentine’s Day planned.
She added to The Sun newspaper: “Chris and I have a dinner planned on our own at home before I go [to work], just the two of us.
“Romance tends to happen all year around in our house but on Valentine’s Day we like to send each other flowers, probably because I like to have lots of flowers in the house.”
Earlier this week, Amanda admitted she doesn’t want Lexi “anywhere near” ‘Love Island’.
Speaking on her own show, ‘Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden’, she declared: “I don’t want my daughter anywhere near ‘Love Island’.
“It’s just another way of being famous, isn’t it really? It’s not really about love. It’s just about looking hot and just getting involved … but I mean, it’s just amazing telly but it’s not really for love.
“Every now and then it works. Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury … I mean that’s a one-off, that’s a fabulous story.”

M. Night Shyamalan has embraced small-budget films

OHMYGOSSIP — M. Night Shyamalan enjoys making movies with smaller budgets.
The 52-year-old director has made a number of single-location films in recent years and relishes the challenge of working on projects with less financial backing.
Shyamalan told The AV Club: “I came to this realisation when I was thinking about how to continue my career that I’m not really enjoying being in the system. I think they’re beating what’s really good in me out of me. I don’t really care about money if it means that I have to give up something of myself to do it.
“I also realised that most of the movies that I love are very contained movies, so let me just pay for them myself and work with new people, and then I’ll make it. And if they want to release it at that point, they can release it, you know? And that’s the relationship that I’m going to have with the industry.”
With the exception of the ‘Unbreakable’ trilogy, Shyamalan hasn’t made sequels to any of his films and he revealed that he hates the “safety” that comes with revisiting a movie.
The ‘Knock at the Cabin’ filmmaker said: “I don’t really get excited about (sequels). In fact, the thing that usually draws people to sequels is exactly what turns me off, which is the safety of it.
“And even if I was talking to myself, like the idea of ‘Am I doing it because I’m going to make you money or’ – God, that’s so repulsive.”
Shyamalan added: “For me, I want you guys to tear me to shreds. I want to risk it all – all the time. That’s what’s fun about being an artist and wanting to be a beginner every single time.”

Daisy Ridley has ‘no idea’ about Star Wars return

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Ridley has “no idea” if she will return to ‘Star Wars’.
The 30-year-old actress played Rey in the sequel trilogy of the iconic sci-fi franchise but is unsure what the future holds following the conclusion to the movies in 2019.
Quizzed on a potential comeback by The Hollywood Reporter, Daisy said: “Honestly, I have no idea. I feel like Rey’s story ended in a wonderful way with the last film (‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’).
“It’s already been an insane three years since that film came out. I feel like quite a different person. We’ve all gone through a massive change in the last three years, with lots of crazy things happening.”
The ‘Sometimes I Think About Dying’ star continued: “So I really don’t know if there are plans. I just don’t know. But ultimately, I loved my experience, I loved what I got to do and I love the people I got to work with.”
Daisy revealed that she was plagued by uncertainty while making the films as she feared that she would “screw it all up”.
She said: “On the third film, I was very present. On the first two, I was like, ‘Oh my God, they’ve chosen the wrong person. Oh my God, I’m gonna screw it all up. Oh my God, oh my God.’
“And then by the third one, I had little time to pause. I still had moments of feeling like, ‘Oh my God, am I terrible?’
“But I also knew that I worked really hard and that I was in a very safe environment with a lot of people that I already knew. So I felt very comfortable, and I really made an effort to be present every day.”

BBC’s Autumnwatchcancelled after 18 years

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Autumnwatch’ has been cancelled after 18 years on air.
The BBC has made the “difficult decision” to scrap its seasonal wildlife programme – which is currently presented by Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan and documents nature during the latter months of the year – almost two decades after it was first aired but the broadcaster but explained that its more “popular” counterparts ‘Springwatch’ and ‘Winterwatch’ will continue to be produced.
In a statement, the BBC said: “These are challenging times financially and we need to make difficult decisions and focus our resources on content that has the highest impact. Sadly, this means that ‘Autumnwatch’ will not be continuing. Instead, we are investing more money into ‘Springwatch’ and ‘Winterwatch’, as they are most popular with audiences.”
The show began as a one-off special in 2005 before going to a full series the following year and the broadcaster went on to add that it is “incredibly proud” of the ‘Watches’ series and thanked its long list of presenters from over the years – which included the likes of Kate Humble, Gillian Burke, Megan McCubbin, and Iolo Williams – before revealing that ‘Springwatch’ will return to screens next year but on a reduced run of a single week as opposed to a fortnight.
The statement added: “We are incredibly proud of the Watches and would like to thank the presenters and production team who will continue on ‘Springwatch’ when it returns in May for three weeks, and Winterwatch when it returns next year for one week, reduced from two weeks.”
News of the cancellation comes just weeks after Chris – who has fronted the ‘Watches’ series since 2009 – announced that he had axed his upcoming TV work after suffering from burnout and is taking a break for the next few months so he can pursue a career as an animal sculptor.
He said: “I want to get off the treadmill, [I feel] a bit burnt out. I’m not going to buy a Ferrari and run off with a 20-year-old! I’ve never taken three months off work. Never. I can barely sleep I am so excited. I might have to ban [partner] Charlotte from the studio. “I don’t want any interference or disruption, I want to get on with it. It will be good to clear my head and focus on something completely different.”

Tanyel Revan explains ‘unusually long’ kiss with Ron Hall on Love Island

OHMYGOSSIP — Tanyel Revan kissed Ron Hall on ‘Love Island’ because they are “best friends.”
The 26-year-old hair stylist is currently taking part in the hit ITV2 reality dating show and on Thursday’s (02.02.23) episode, took part in a challenge in which the girls kissed the blindfolded boys and explained that her passionate snog with financial advisor Ron, 25, was down to the fact that she felt “comfortable” despite it causing concern to the other Islanders.
She said: “I just don’t get why Olivia is so concerned, like, I kissed Ron because he is my best friend in here to give him a proper little smooch because I know I wouldn’t care and I know I just felt comfortable. But that is the only reason why and it’s not because I fancy him.”
While discussing the kiss later on, Lana Jenkins – who was initially coupled up with Ron at the beginning of the show but is now seeing Aaron Waters in the South African villa – admitted that the kiss went on for so long that she ended up having to “look away.”
The winner of the challenge was biomedical science student Tanya Manhenga, 22, who won the title of Top Snogger in the game but following her victory, her Island boyfriend Shaq Muhammad was left feeling “hurt” after watching her kiss the other boys.
He was heard saying: “I’m not an idiot, I don’t care if it’s a challenge, there was a way for her to go about it and be respectful but she ain’t respectful. I can’t like I can’t chat to her right now. ”
In tomorrow’s episode, one of the boys will be dumped from the ‘Love Island’ villa after viewers vote to save their favourite, although new bombshells Casey O’Gorman and Jordan Ordofin are exempt.
‘Love Island’ next airs on Friday (03.02.23) at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX and can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.

Billie Shepherd named baby daughter after her mum

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Shepherd named her baby daughter after her mum.
The reality TV star – previously known as Billie Faiers – gave birth to her third child with husband Greg Shepherd – a daughter called Margot – on December 2 and she’s now revealed the tot’s middle name is Suzanne in a tribute to Billie’s mum Suzie.
The former TOWIE star and her partner shared the news with Suzie in a new episode of their show ‘The Family Diaries’, with Billie telling her: “Even though we named Margot as soon as she was born, we haven’t actually announced it yet …
“We’ve actually decided on her middle name … Margot, Suzanne Shepherd.”
Suzie fought back tears as she said: “You’re not! Are you?” with Billie insisting the tot is named “after her nanny Sue”.
Billie then credited her husband with the idea, saying: “Greg come up with this suggestion that we name Margot’s middle name after Suzanne, my mum, and it is just yeah the best … She’s so special to us, and the kids.”
The couple are also parents to daughter Nelly, eight, and son Arthur, five.
It comes after Billie revealed Margot’s arrival didn’t go to plan because she spent two days waiting for her contractions to start and was then unable to go through with the water birth she had planned.
Speaking on ‘The Sam Billie Show’ podcast, she explained: “Obviously not everything goes to plan, of course it doesn’t, but I was gutted because I knew that being induced meant that I couldn’t go in birthing pool and I actually really wanted to try for a water birth this time …
“[But] when … she arrived, it was the most amazing incredible feeling.”

Ekin-Su Culxologlu’s dad applies for middle-aged Love Island spin-off

OHMYGOSSIP — Ekin-Su Culcologlu’s dad has applied to take part in ‘Romance Retreat’.
The ‘Dancing On Ice’ contestant revealed her father Zekai is hoping to follow in her footsteps after submitting an application to be on what has been described as “‘Love Island’ for single parents”.
The 28-year-old beauty – who won last summer’s ‘Love Island’ with Italian boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti – told Reddit: “My dad’s applied already. I’m preparing him, he’s a single man he needs to get out there, you know.
“He might find an Italian woman, who knows?”
Ekin-Su has already offered advice to her dad, telling him “be yourself, don’t burp, put some perfume on.”
And she isn’t the only former ‘Love Island’ star keen to see their parent go on the show
Tasha Ghouri has also urged her dad to apply.
She tweeted: “Dad this is your moment to shine… The entertainment joker king x.”
It was recently claimed Davina McCall is top choice to host the show.
A source said: “Davina is the perfect fit, she is a bubbly, fun and has also endured her own relationship problems. Until she met her boyfriend she was a single mother too.”
The ‘Masked Singer’ judge – who split from her ex Matthew Robertson, 54, in 2017 with whom she has Holly, 21, Tilly, 19, and Chester, 16, but has since found love with her new man Michael Douglas, 48 – admitted a few weeks ago she was “begging” to present such a show and insisted it would make for fascinating viewing.
She said: ” I’ve got no embarrassment or shame in emailing a TV company and going, ‘Have you thought about this? What about this? Can I do this?’
“I’m literally begging ITV to let me present mid-life ‘Love Island’.
“I could fill a villa in Love Island with middle-aged people with the best backstories you have ever heard in your life.
“They’ve lived a life – they’re widows, they’re people who have been through horrific divorces. They are people who have split up with somebody and decided they want to try going out with somebody the same sex as them. They’re like interesting people. I’d watch that show.”
