Jason Fox teams up with Nestle for heist movie spoof

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Fox has gone from Golden Handler to “Golden Muncher” in a new heist movie spoof.
The ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’ hardman was appointed by Nestle to oversee the delivery of the first consignment of its new Golden Collection range to a London supermarket – but couldn’t resist tucking into the treats himself, making him the first person in the UK to try the Golden Aero, Milkybar, Munchies and Smarties.
A Nestle spokesperson said: “We thought we got the best in the business, but Foxy was more Golden Muncher than Golden Handler. Given his past and the size of those biceps, we certainly weren’t going to try to take the chocolate back off him.
“On the plus side, he was the first person in the country to try the Golden Collection, and it couldn’t have gone down any better. Literally. The products are available now in stores across the country and I’d urge the public to purchase them and try for themselves, before Foxy gets there first.”
The spoof film saw the former Special Forces operative take delivery of a golden briefcase of chocolate, which was handcuffed to his wrist, before he stepped into the back of an armoured security van.
The vehicle made its way through the streets of London before arriving at a branch of ASDA – and the store manager is left baffled when he opens the briefcase to find it empty.
The footage then restarted and showed what happened inside the van – with Jason cracking into the briefcase and munching away, oblivious to the cameras recording his every more.
Jason said: “During my time in the special forces and being in high pressure situations, I thought I was the perfect person to ensure this job was done without a hitch. This one didn’t, and I’m aware I haven’t covered myself in glory. If the Golden Collection wasn’t so delicious then that briefcase wouldn’t have been tampered with.”
Fans of Nestlé’s Golden Collection can enter a competition to win a number of Golden Collection treats straight from The Golden Handler himself. To enter, visit https://www.aerochocolate.co.uk/articles/your-favourites-reimagined-golden-touch#entry-form

On being announced the winner, Mary – whose jokes offer a left field view of life – said: “It feels amazing. I don’t even have the words. I wanted it so bad. I’m so grateful.
“It really means a lot because I was distinguishing my voice. I was finding my voice. It’s something I’ve been working really hard on and have struggled with.
“For the judges to pick me – the fact that they said I had the most distinctive voice – is priceless. It means the absolute world. This whole thing has been mad.”
On the show, comics Dom McGovern, of Twickenham, and Zoe Brownstone, a London based Canadian, were named runners-up and each received £25,000.
Over four serialised weekly shows, host Jack Guinness and comedian Sofie Hagen have guided 10 contestants in a number of knockout tasks on their journey to the grand finale.
Viewers have seen first-hand the highs and lows of trying to make it as a comedian, as the finalists were asked to create a viral comedy video, write for another contestant, and write a five-minute set on sex and relationships (which they later discover is for a group of pensioners enjoying a buffet lunch).

Love Island’s Tom Clare: I’ve fallen in love with Samie!

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Clare is “falling in love” with Samie Elishi on ‘Love Island.’
The 23-year-old footballer is currently taking part on the hit ITV2 reality show and upon taking estate agent coordinator Samie, 22, on their final date on Thursday’s (09.03.23) episode, declared that even though the pair have had a “few bumps” along the way, he thinks that she is the one.
He said: “When you first walked in, I was like ‘Wow!’ And yeah, I was just tunnel-visioned for you from the get go. I know we had like bumps and stuff along the way and look, yeah, I messed up, I knew I was going to turn it around.
“And when you gave me that second chance, I was just buzzing. I wrote you a poem, it was a good little poem, that was. We’ve had a bit of a mad journey. Would I change it? “No, just because I feel like it has made us so strong. I haven’t liked a girl like this for a long time. You know how big family is for me and I think it is the same for you. For me to have a girl get on with my sister is something that I would dream of. I can just picture you sat with my sister and I know you would just get on so well.
“I feel like my mum would start crying – she cries at everything! We’re in it together now. We’ve got each other, there will be tough times but you know you can trust me with anything. I feel like I’ve met that person I’ve been looking for. It feels so natural and nice. I can’t lie. I’m falling in love with you. It’s scary to say but there’s not a girl I’d rather be with.”
Samie replied that she “cannot wait” to meet Tom’s family and did acknowledge the fact that they live in different areas of the country, but claimed that the long-distance nature of their relationship would “not bother her” at all.
She said: “I can’t wait to meet her, I can’t wait to meet your whole family. I feel like we’ve got so much to look forward to. Obviously, you live in Barnsley and I live in London but that doesn’t bother me. Every day my feelings are growing stronger and stronger. I feel like I am falling, if not, have falling for.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall were seen on their final date standing in a pool where a choir serenaded them with Sir Elton John hit ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight?’ from ‘The Lion King’, whilst Shaq Mohammed and Tanya Manhegna were seen enjoying a drink in a serene setting on their “first and final date.”
Tanya said: “This is day one. You’re gonna make me cry. We’ve had a lot of ups and downs but I feel like the more that we’ve gone through is what has made us to be honest. I feel like every time we were arguing, you were still in my head rent-free and then going through Casa Amor and you coming back and even when I had someone else, it was still always you.
“If all that stuff happened at the beginning, we would have cracked and broke. But I feel like we’re over that now. I feel like we have gone through the worst, honestly and I feel like that has prepared me. I have found someone who truly cares about me. What a man!”
Just moments later, the couple declared that they are officially boyfriend and girlfriend.
‘Love Island’ airs at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX and can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.

The 23-year-old son of Boyzone singer Ronan Keating went public with his baby news in a shock announcement on social media on Thursday night (09.10.23) sharing a black and white picture of himself cradling his newborn daughter in a post on Instagram.

Jack also returned to TV in his ongoing quest to find love – filming an appearance on ITV show ‘Dinner Dates’ which is due to air this month. He said of his latest project: “Filming took a couple of weeks and I met some nice girls and ate some nice food, so it was a full experience.”

Joey Essex wants to make TV show about grief

OHMYGOSSIP — Joey Essex wants to make a TV show about grief.
The 32-year-old reality star was just 10 years old when his mother Tina took her own life and he admitted he’d like to draw on his own experiences and explore how other young people have been affected by such losses.
He told the Metro newspaper’s Guilty Pleasures column: “I would love to do something with younger adults who have dealt with loss.”
Last weekend, the former ‘TOWIE’ star paid tribute to Tina on ‘Dancing On Ice’ after the contestants were tasked with creating a personal routine, and he thinks Tina was “definitely looking down” over him as he skated with partner Vanessa Bauer.
He said: “My mum passed me a silk scarf when I was young… I told my nan about it. She brought the scarf, had it in her pocket.
“I do have them, sort of, ‘feels’ sometimes. I’m not really superstitious but I do believe my mum is looking over me. I feel she’d be proud. She would have loved to have been there.”
Joey found it “extremely difficult” to go through with the routine because he was so emotional.
He said: “It was extremely difficult to do that, to be honest, because I had this flooding of emotions beforehand.
“When I got asked to do a personal skate, the first person that come to my mind was my mum. But it still is very painful, very raw.
“I don’t think I’ll fully ever properly get over that situation.”
Meanwhile, Joey and Vanessa will compete in this weekend’s ‘Dancing On Ice’ final against gymnast Nile Wilson and drag star The Vivienne and their professional partners, and the reality TV favourite is planning to hit the gym hard ahead of his performance.
He said of one of his routines: “I’m Hercules in it, so I can’t wait… Hercules is a bit bigger than me but, if I go down the gym today and tomorrow, I might match him!”

Jenna Ortega lined up for Beetlejuice sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenna Ortega is rumoured to be in the running to star in the upcoming ‘Beetlejuice’ sequel.
The actress currently appears in Tim Burton’s Netflix series ‘Wednesday’ – which is based around Addams Family character Wednesday Addams – and now The Hollywood Reporter has suggested she could be taking on another project with links to the director.
Burton helmed the 1988 film – about a couple of ghosts who enlist a spirit named ‘Beetlejuice’ to help them rid their home of its new inhabitants – and the new report suggests he will be back to take charge of the sequel which is now expected to begin filming in London in early May or June.
Rumours of ‘Beetlejuice 2’ have been swirling for years but they intensified in 2022 with reports original stars Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder could be returning and now it’s been suggested that Ortega could be lined up to play the daughter of Winona’s character.
Burton recently sidestepped rumours suggesting he might be in line to direct the next ‘Beetlejuice’ movie. When asked whether he would be involved in a sequel, he told Deadline.com: “Nothing is out of the question”. He added: “I only know if I’m making a film when I’m actually on the set shooting. I try to go back to the root of everything. It springs from a seed and then it grows, rather than out of these statements. I am working on ideas and things but it’s all very early days. We’ll set how it goes. How’s that for a non answer?”

Dame Helen Mirren wanted to ‘be accepted’ by stunt team on Shazam! Fury of the Gods

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Helen Mirren kept her broken finger a secret because she wanted to “be accepted” by the stunt team on ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’.
The 77-year-old actress recently revealed she suffered a painful injury while shooting the superhero sequel but admitted she didn’t tell the cast and crew what had happened to her because she was so in awe of the “brave” experts working on the film.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “When you’re in that stunt world, the stunt people are so brave, and you want to be accepted by them. I’m sucking up to the stunt people.”
Her co-star Rachel Zegler laughed: “They’re the popular kids.”
Helen agreed: “They were the cool kids, exactly. I wanted to be accepted by them so I was not going to complain about my finger.”
The film’s lead, Zachary Levi, praised Helen for being “such a trouper” and admitted he had no idea the veteran actress had been injured during the shoot.
He said: “I had no idea, but she’s such a trouper. She was so there and present and rolling up her sleeves, like, ‘How can we go have fun? How can we do this?’ She’s everything. Such an icon.”
Helen previously explained she broke her finger after misjudging the moment in a fight scene and making contact with a wall.
She said: “I hit a cement wall!”
The Oscar-winning star – who plays Hespera, daughter of Atlas, in the movie – was delighted to get to the heart of the action scenes, even though she’s not a “sporty type of person”.
She said: “I do have a big fight sequence and I did sone myself and obviously we have great stunt people and they help with the really difficult stuff.
“But I did do as much as I possibly could. I didn’t particularly train, just a bit of yoga in the morning!
“But I’m not a sporty type of person at all.”

Michael B. Jordan in talks for Creed film and TV universe

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael B. Jordan is in talks with Amazon for a ‘Creed’ universe.
The 36-year-old actor is said to be holding conversations with the studio about capitalising on the popularity of the ‘Rocky’ spin-off franchise although details are scarce about which projects are being discussed.
Amazon recently acquired MGM and is hoping to develop both film and TV projects in the series – which stars Jordan as boxer Adonis ‘Donnie’ Creed.
‘Creed III’ has had a successful opening at the box office and set a franchise record with its $58.7 million debut. It is the first movie in the franchise that does not feature Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa.
A ‘Drago’ spin-off movie is in development at MGM that will centre on Rocky’s Russian foe Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) and his son Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu), who was introduced in ‘Creed II’.
There had been rumours that the ‘Drago’ project could be a TV series but the intention remains to keep it as a film. A script has been commissioned but no further progress has been made on the flick.
Michael recently hinted that he is keen to make more ‘Creed’ movies after directing ‘Creed III’.
He said: “Building the ‘Creed’ universe is something that I’m really excited about.”
Jordan made his debut behind the camera on the new movie and paid tribute to the cast and crew that had helped him make the picture.
The ‘Just Mercy’ star said: “This journey over the last three years has been incredible. Never thought I could do what y’all say I did. I couldn’t have done that without the people that I just named in this incredible, incredible cast. It’s a team effort.
“Every day I tried to show up and I wanted to impress them. I wanted to let them know that I wasn’t doing it just to do the job. And finding the truth within the ‘Creed’ family was really, really important to us.
“So, thank you, guys, so much for having my back every step of the way, even when it’s difficult.”

Daniel Radcliffe was originally cast as the lead in All Quiet on the Western Front

OHMYGOSSIP — Daniel Radcliffe was originally cast in the lead role for ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’.
Screenwriter Lesley Paterson has revealed that the ‘Harry Potter’ actor was set to play the role of Paul Baumer in one of his first film projects after the wizardry franchise came to an end in 2011.
Movie bosses believed that casting Daniel, 33, would secure the necessary funding to make the project based on Erich Maria Remarque’s 1929 novel but it turned out not to be the case.
Lesley told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “When we optioned the book 16 years ago, the landscape was so different. There’s no way you could have done a German-language film and raised any money for it.
“So we decided pretty early on, we would probably have to pitch it as English speaking with a German accent.
“And we thought, ‘What names are going to raise finance?’ And at that time, Daniel Radcliffe was coming off the back of ‘Harry Potter’.”
Lesley explained how Daniel’s name alone was not enough to generate funding for the film as it was the ‘Harry Potter’ brand that had made him so well known.
The 42-year-old triathlete said: “We realised pretty quickly that although he’s a wonderful actor, he wasn’t right for this and his name actually didn’t raise any finance.
“Because ultimately, what’s made him known is the brand of ‘Harry Potter’ and not him as an actor. But he was so lovely.”
Felix Kammerer was eventually cast in the role of Baumer as ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ was released on Netflix last year.
The movie is up for nine Oscars at this weekend’s ceremony and Lesley thinks that the anti-war theme will strike a chord with the judges due to the Ukraine conflict.
She said: “They tend to support politically resonating films in the belief our industry can make a difference.”

NEW HOST PLEASE! Clare Balding replacing Sue Barker as BBC’s lead Wimbledon presenter

OHMYGOSSIP — Clare Balding is replacing Sue Barker as the BBC’s lead Wimbledon host.
The sports pundit, 52, will take over this summer from the 66-year-old former ‘A Question of Sport’ presenter –  who has led coverage of the tennis tournament since 1993 – when it starts in July.
She said after the news was officially confirmed by the BBC on Thursday (09.03.23): “It’s a huge honour to be given this responsibility but I am very aware that no one person can fill Sue’s shoes.
“This will always be a team effort and we’re lucky that the BBC line-up includes former professionals with huge insight as well as wonderful reporters and commentators.
“It’s my job to bring out the best in them and to help make our viewers feel they have a front-row seat on the greatest sporting stage.”
The BBC’s director of sport Barbara Slater said she was looking forward to seeing Clare share her “passion and knowledge for the prestigious event“.
Sue – who won the 1976 French Open and reached No 3 in the world as a player before making the switch to broadcasting – last summer said she felt the “time is right” to step down after three decades in the Wimbledon presenting role.
Former cricketer Isa Guha, 37, was said to be in the running to become lead Wimbledon host, but will still have a major role in the 2023 coverage after becoming part of the BBC team last summer.
She will present coverage from the start of play before Clare takes over for the primetime afternoon and evening sessions.

‘Emmerdale’ snowed off: ‘We’re all going sledging!’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Emmerdale’ has been snowed off by the blizzards battering Britain.
Nick Miles, 60, who plays Jimmy King on the long-running ITV1 soap, announced filming was on hold “due to the snow” that is causing havoc for millions of people across the UK – and joked the cast and crew had decided to go sledging instead of shooting.
He tweeted on Friday (10.03.23) morning: “Filming on ‘Emmerdale’ cancelled today due to the snow. Look out Leeds. We’re all going sledging!”
It comes as Storm Larisa is set to bring “treacherous conditions” to the UK, with 50mph winds and up to 40cm of snow forecast in some areas.
Meanwhile, an ‘Emmerdale’ episode bosses dubbed the “most powerful ever” will air on Friday.
It focuses on men’s mental health amid the storyline of Dominic Brunt’s character Paddy Kirk’s suicidal thoughts after his break-up from Chas Dingle.
The hour-long special will see Paddy’s best mate Marlon Dingle (played by Mark Charnock) hold a lock-in at their local for a “simple” heartfelt chat between lads in an episode that came about in collaboration with mental health charities such as Samaritans and Andy’s Man Club.
Producer Laura Shaw said: “There is a whole episode where our men just talk.
“There are no stunts, there are no affairs, there are no big explosive reveals, it’s just men talking about whatever they are feeling or thinking.
“It’s as simple as that. But when you watch it, it’s probably one of the most powerful episodes we’ve ever done.”
Laura – who has been with the soap since 2007 – continued: “We know accurate on-screen portrayals help people with their own experiences and help them speak out without fear of judgement.
“If we help just one person who is struggling to reach out and start talking, well, we’ve done our job.”
Dominic Brunt has said he felt a “huge sense of responsibility” leading the episode, with the 52-year-old adding: “I felt a huge sense of responsibility on my shoulders to try and get it right.
“Not only has it been inspiration but it’s been pitch black dark and it’s made me appreciate what I have.
“Speaking to people where life has hit them so hard it’s been really shocking and everyone who has come through the other side of it has said, ‘I’m glad I spoke to someone’.”

Vanessa Bauer admits she has ‘special bond’ with rumoured boyfriend Joey Essex

OHMYGOSSIP — Vanessa Bauer has admitted she has a “special bond” with her ‘Dancing on Ice’ partner Joey Essex.
The skating pro, 26, gushed over the reality TV star, 32, while opening up about their rumoured romance for the first time – after Joey admitted their on-air kiss that appeared to confirm they were an item was “planned”.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s final of the ITV1 show, she told Metro.co.uk: “This time I’ve got Joey with me. Obviously we have a bond like I didn’t have with any of my other partners. It’s going to be special.
“I think it would be nice to see what’s going on on the outside – we’re mainly interested in the ice rink to be honest.”
During the ‘Dancing on Ice’ Movie Week, Joey seemed to confirm claims they were dating when he planted a kiss on Vanessa’s lips – prompting her to lean away and look flustered.
Joey said about the moment: “I had asked Vanessa probably over 10 times, ‘You wouldn’t pull away would you? You want me to kiss you right?’ And she goes, ‘Yeah I want you to kiss me.’”
The pair have been romantically since they started rehearsals for the show and have been spotted spending time together.
Joey and Vanessa are set to go up against former Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson and his professional partner Olivia Smart as well as Drag Race UK star The Vivienne and skater Colin Grafton in the show final on Sunday (12.03.23), after
Siva Kaneswaran and Mollie Gallagher were last week voted off during a semi-final double elimination.

James May gets two new series commissioned by Amazon Prime after Jeremy Clarkson scandal

OHMYGOSSIP — James May has had two new series commissioned by Amazon Prime after the streamer reportedly “cut ties” with Jeremy Clarkson over his Duchess of Sussex row.
The former ‘Top Gear’ co-host, 60, is returning for a third series of ‘James May: Our Man In…’, and a second run of his ‘Oh Cook!’ show.
His latest ‘Our Man In’ series will see him travel to India and is set for broadcast early next year, and James said about the show comebacks: “I’ve been to India before, and it’s mesmerising. I can’t wait to go back for Series Three of ‘Our Man In…’.
“And for ‘Oh Cook!’ fans, it’s also the perfect opportunity to perfect my daal.”
James will start his latest jaunt for ‘Our Man In…’ in Mumbai, and he’ll travel 3,000 miles, including through Udaipur to experience the Holi festival, before heading to Rajasthan.
His trek will also take in the “golden triangle” of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur before he follows the Ganges east to the holy city of Varanasi.
With ‘Oh Cook!’ he will once again show how his battle to go from kitchen novice to gourmet cook.
James’ former ‘Top Gear’ co-host Jeremy, 62, faced fury in December for saying he “hated” Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, so much he dreamed about the 41-year-old being pelted with excrement as she was paraded through the streets.
Prime Video was later reported to have parted ways with the presenter, but they have never confirmed that and a third season of ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ is still to air on the streamer.

Gogglebox’s Sid Siddiqui bombarded with ‘dirty’ selfie requests

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Gogglebox’ stalwart Sid Siddiqui is bombarded with ‘dirty’ selfie requests – when he is covered in mud at his local dump.
The patriarch, 74, who has been on the Channel 4 show with his sons Baasit, 35, and Umar, 42, since it started in 2013, added he is often left squirming watching sex-filled telly with his boys.
He told the Metro newspaper about fans’ selfie requests: “Most (of my) selfie requests are at the local tip. I am a frequent user.
“I am usually at my worst because you have been doing some building work or digging and you are covered in mud. They seem to find that quite an attractive photo shot of me. You can’t cater for all tastes, can you?”
Sid also admitted life can get “embarrassing” watching shows such as ‘Naked Attraction’ and films including ‘American Pie’ with his sons on the BAFTA Award-winning series.
He added: “The sad thing about ‘Naked Attraction’ is you can’t remember the faces of any of the people, but you do remember other things.
“Another embarrassing one was that film ‘American Pie’ a few years ago. I was expecting some sort of cake or pie to appear and that wasn’t the case. You can understand my embarrassment.
“We say, ‘Oh, we are pros. We are grown-ups. We’re OK.’ But it can get a bit hot under the collar.”
Sid also said watching nature shows has nearly “killed” him due to their heartbreaking scenes.
He said: “There was one with a mother elephant had to leave her baby behind. She needed to catch up with the rest of her herd and she’s couldn’t manage the baby as well. That really killed me almost.”

‘Motherland‘ cast so busy they’re struggling to get another series ‘in the diary’

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Motherland’ cast are so busy they are struggling to do another series.
Following the trials and tribulations of being a parent in middle-class suburban London, the hit BBC show is currently on hiatus as it is incredibly difficult for stars Anna Maxwell Martin, Diane Morgan, Tanya Moodie, Lucy Punch, Paul Ready and others to get “time in the diary” for another season.
Joan Petrie, the BBC’s director of comedy told the Daily Star’s Hot TV column: “‘Motherland’ has been great for the BBC.
“But the thing with that show is that the cast are all so successful, it’s about finding time in the diary to do more.”
Last month, Diane – who plays single mother Liz and is also known as Philomena Cunk on her mockumetaries – teased there had been “conversations” about putting together a fourth series.
The 47-year-old actress said: “I don’t know. There have been conversations. It’s very difficult to get that cast together but you never know. Who knows?”
But the ‘Mandy’ actress admitted it was “very difficult” to bring together everyone who brings the series to life.
She added: “The writers, the actors, they’re all successful people. It’s very difficult getting them in a room together.”
Diane also praised the “poignancy” of the 2022 ‘Motherland’ Christmas special, which tackled death.
She said: “I thought it was a bit sort of heartbreaking but sometimes, it’s nice to have a bit of that, isn’t it? A bit of poignancy.”
She added about her role: “As the ‘single’ character, they always try and force you into relationship storylines but I think it’s nice sometimes to have storylines that are not about romance, just because you’re single, you know?
“There are other things that can happen to you. Maybe she should rob a bank or something.”
Earlier this week, it was reported US network ABC was working with the show’s co-creator Sharon Horgan to create an American edition of the show.

OHMYGOSSIP — Joey Essex’s emotions over his mum’s suicide 22 years ago are still “very painful” and “raw”.
The ‘TOWIE’ star, 32, was 10 years old when his mother Tina took her life in 2001, but he says he doesn’t think he will ever get over the agony caused by her death, and added performing a routine in her memory on last week’s ‘Dancing on Ice’ semi-final brought agonising feelings to the surface.
He told the Metro newspaper: “It was extremely difficult to do that, to be honest, because I had this flooding of emotions beforehand.
“When I got asked to do a personal skate, the first person that come to my mind was my mum. But it still is very painful, very raw.
“I don’t think I’ll fully ever properly get over that situation.”
Joey also revealed he had no idea his nan, who was in the audience while he performed on the ITV1 show alongside his pro partner and rumoured girlfriend Vanessa Bauer, 26, was clutching a piece of his mum’s clothing.
He said: “My mum passed me a silk scarf when I was young. I told my nan about it.
“She brought the scarf, had it in her pocket.”
Joey – who has previously said one of his flats was haunted by the ghost of a small boy – also said about feeling his mum’s spirit watching over him: “I do have them, sort of, ‘feels’ sometimes.
“I’m not really superstitious but I do believe my mum is looking over me. I feel she’d be proud. She would have loved to have been there.”
