Fred Sirieix: The next season of Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip is ‘ready to go’

OHMYGOSSIP — Fred Sirieix says the next season of ‘Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip’ is “ready to go”.
The ‘First Dates’ barman teased that the hit ITV travel show he does with celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay, 56, and Gino D’Acampo, 46, will see the trio visit Spain for a few episodes and will air soon.
The 51-year-old television personality told RadioTimes.com: “I think you will see us maybe in March or April. We’ve got a couple of episodes where we went to Spain last year, so I think you can see it there, but I don’t know [exactly] when it’s going to show.
“ITV is going to decide that and let us know when they want to show it, but it’s already there. It’s ready to go!”
Fred admitted that they were struggling to agree on “where” they ought to go on their travels but the real problem was finding a time they were all free with their other TV work commitments making it hard for them to find time to film the show.
He said: “Well, we kind of decided where we want to go although it’s not set in stone and not 100 per cent.
“What we have a problem with is dates because we can’t seem to agree on dates. So as soon as we’ve agreed the dates (that’s the hardest thing) then we can agree on the location. And it seems like it would be easy.
“We’ve got three very clear options that we’ve been talking about. Now we’ve got to make the dates work.”
In the summer, the ‘Million Pound Menu’ star gushed about the all the potential “destinations” he’d love to take Gordon and Gino.
Fred said: “There are so many destinations. I’d love to go to the I’d love to take them to Jamaica because I go there a lot and I think I’m an expert on the island.
“I’d love to go to Thailand. I’ve never ever been to Thailand. I’d love to do that – Southeast Asia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos. That is something I’d love to do. There are so many destinations. I’ve never been to Kathmandu, for example, and I’d love to do that as well.”

Amber Gill ‘is really smitten with’ her Arsenal footballer girlfriend Jennifer Beattie

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Gill “is really smitten with” her Arsenal footballer girlfriend Jennifer Beattie.
The former ‘Love Island’ winner, 25, is said to be “happier than ever” with the Scottish goal scorer, 31, after they were spotted kissing at Selhurst Park after the Gooners trounced Chelsea FC in the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final earlier this month.
An insider close to the pair told OK! magazine: “Things are still fairly new but Amber is really smitten with Jen. Jen asked her out after speaking online and they hit it off straight away on their first date. It’s gone from strength to strength ever since. They both have a lot of fun together and Amber is happier than ever.”
Amber practically made their relationship Instagram official as she posted snaps of a recent romantic getaway to Paris, but blocked out Jen’s face as she wants to maintain a “low-key and private” approach.
They continued: “Things are going really well and Amber wants to keep it that way. She doesn’t like sharing every detail as it’s something nice to keep to herself. While she’s posted the odd thing here and there, she’s kept it low-key and private. She will share more when she’s ready.”
The ex ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ star previously admitted she was “really happy” in her love life but kept tight-lipped about who she had been seing.
Amber said: “I’m really happy and that’s all you need to know.”
Last summer, the reality television personality – who was victorious on the 2019 edition of the ITV2 reality show with rugby player Greg O’Shea – confessed she “couldn’t be with a man again” and “switching teams was the best decision I’ve ever made in my life.”
Amber tweeted: “Watching men makes me feel ill. I couldn’t put myself through it again.”
Later she explained: “I’m not like 100 per cent over guys. I was annoyed at the time with guys when I said all that [on Twitter] but yes, I have dated girls, In the past and recently as well, It’s great.”

Netflix pulls plug on big-budget Nancy Meyers movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Netflix has shut down the new movie from Nancy Meyers.
The 73-year-old filmmaker had been set to helm a star-studded romantic comedy for the streaming giant but the plans have been scrapped for financial reasons.
According to sources, Netflix and Meyers could not reach an agreement on the budget as ‘The Parent Trap’ director wanted a budget of at least $150 million – but the streamer did not want to exceed $130 million.
Meyers has not directed since helming the 2015 movie ‘The Intern’ and commands big budgets as she is known for her work with A-list stars such as Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep.
The new film, currently titled ‘Paris Paramount’, had Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz, Michael Fassbender and Owen Wilson in talks to star.
It tells the story of an above-the-line filmmaking duo who begrudgingly reunite on set after falling in and out of love with one another.
The film has parallels with Nancy’s own life as she and fellow writer-producer Charles Shyer had a long-time romantic and professional pairing, working on movies such as ‘Father of the Bride’, ‘Baby Boom’ and ‘Private Benjamin’.
Meyers co-wrote and directed the 1998 movie ‘The Parent Trap’ and star Lisa Ann Walter – who portrayed housekeeper Chessy – is convinced that a reboot would be “genius” if the filmmaker and lead actress Lindsay Lohan are involved.
She said: “Look, if Nancy Meyers writes it, it’s gonna be genius. I don’t know if that is something that could happen… With Lindsay doing work again, as beautiful and talented as she is, certainly, anything is possible.”

Chad Stahelski hints at John Wick conclusion

OHMYGOSSIP — Chad Stahelski has hinted that ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ could be the last movie in the franchise.
The 54-year-old director is behind the camera again on the new action flick and suggested that he and Keanu Reeves are planning to “rest” the franchise for the time being, although he did not rule out a fifth film.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Chad said: “In our minds, Keanu and I are done for the moment. We’re going to give ‘John Wick’ a rest. I’m sure the studio has a plan. If everyone loves it and goes kooky, then we’ll take a quiet minute.”
Stahelski – who worked as a stunt double for Reeves on ‘The Matrix’ franchise – revealed that the pair are likely to share some ideas again when the film is released in Japan.
He said: “‘Wicks’ always, for some weird reason, always get the latest release date in Japan. It’s always like, three months later. If it’s the same time this time, we’ll do a Japanese tour and release the movie in September.
“Keanu and I will take a long trip to Tokyo, we’ll sit in the Imperial Hotel Scotch Bar and go, ‘What do you think?’ We’ll have a couple of 20-year-old whiskies and write some ideas on napkins. If those ideas stick maybe we’ll make a movie.”
The ‘John Wick’ franchise has become more successful with each film and Chad credits careful planning for the progress.
He said: “If you had given me $200 million after the first movie, which we made for nothing, I would’ve mucked it up. I’ve been part of so many second units and reshoots of big franchises, and they all go to s***.
“So, we watched the other franchises that threw money at just paying everybody more or on a couple of explosions. It’s great for the trailer, but there’s no meat on the bone.”
Chad added: “Then we decided to spend what extra money we got to go shoot in three or four countries and be very careful in our casting.
“I’m a huge Sergio Leone fan, and there’s not a movie he’s done where every little character isn’t great. That’s what I want.”

Channel 4 confirms Junior Taskmaster and six new series of main show

OHMYGOSSIP — Channel 4 has announced a ‘Junior Taskmaster’ spin-off as well as six new seasons of the main show.
The game show – which sees comedians compete in a range of weird and wonderful tasks to earn the approval of Greg Davies, flanked by his on-screen assistant Alex Horne – will branch out with a children-focused run featuring young people aged 9 to 11.
The show’s creator Alex said: “I’ve watched many, many comedians flounder when given simple instructions over the past few years and I fully expect the competitors in ‘Junior Taskmaster’ to be both more competent and just as funny.”
While Greg will be appearing as the titular Taskmaster for the spin-off, he won’t be joined by his usual co-star.
Alex explained: “For that series, I will be handing over my assistant’s clipboard to someone equally as efficient and persistent as myself because I have a lot more admin to do with six further handfuls of supposedly talented adults.
“I live for bureaucracy so this is all excellent news.”
Meanwhile, former schoolteacher Greg commented: “My long-term contempt for young people is a matter of record but other people here at Taskmaster HQ seem convinced that they have merit.
“I am thrilled that two new team members are putting this questionable hypothesis to the test and will take on the challenge of corralling and assessing them on television.
“I will be watching closely to ensure standards are met.”
And he’s excited for the prospect of six new seasons of the main show, which was most recently won by Dara O Briain, while Sir Mo Farah triumphed in the New Year Treat special.
The upcoming 15th series will featured Frankie Boyle, Ivo Graham, Jenny Eclair, Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Mae Martin.

‘I have to have a translator!’: Motsi Mabuse cannot understand Northern accents

OHMYGOSSIP — Motsi Mabuse struggles to understand Northern accents.
The 41-year-old star was born in South Africa and is fluent in five languages but has to ask her fellow ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge Craig Revel Horwood to “translate” for her whenever she is dealing with a celebrity on the Latin and ballroom show who hails from the North of England.
Speaking on the ‘Off the Menu’ podcast, she said: “On ‘Strictly’, I really struggle with people that come from the North. “I’m like: ‘Can you please translate?’ It’s so strong, and I just don’t understand. It starts with ‘hello’ and then it’s over. Like, what? But there have been quite a few from the North, and I’m always asking Craig. I’m just trying to understand. It’s not easy.”
Motsi now lives in Germany with her husband Evgenij Voznyuk but went on to explain that whenever she is in the UK for work, she finds herself having to “really concentrate” in order to understand English speaks because the range of accents and dialects is so vast across the country.
She added: “You all speak differently. Every time I’m in this country, I really have to concentrate. Some people, I just don’t know, are we speaking the same language? There’s a lot of different types of accents here. I’m always fighting it! In times of pressure, I have slipped – I have spoken German. It’s happened a few times, I hear what’s going on with my tongue. And I have that South African accent. It’s a mess – it’s a complete mess.My South African brain corrects me. I can’t change it, it’s live TV!!

‘It was shady and dishonest!’ Why Freddie Prize Jr ‘didn’t enjoy’ working on Scooby-Doo

OHMYGOSSIP — Freddie Prinze Jr. “didn’t enjoy” working on ‘Scooby-Doo.’
The 47-year-old actor starred as Fred in the big-screen adaptation of the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon series alongside wife Sarah Michelle Gellar in 2002 but admitted that when he and the gang were landed with a new script after they had already signed their contracts, he almost “freaked out” and considered quitting altogehter.
He told Collider: “The love that your generation and a couple others have had for that movie really changed my perspective on the whole experience, because it wasn’t exactly the best experience going in. When we read that script…and I said this probably ten years ago, and people got really mad at me, and then James [Gunn] said it ten years after and everyone was like, “Hey, how dare Warner Brothers.” But they did the bait and switch on us, you know what I mean? We read the script, we all signed on, we flew to Australia, we landed. They didn’t even let us go to our residence first. We had to go straight to the studio and we were given a new script that was basically rated G. Well, I don’t want to speak for everyone, so I’ll just speak for myself, but I kind of freaked out and thought about walking off the movie.
“But my girlfriend Sarah [Michelle Gellar] was there, and I was there, and I didn’t want to leave her for six months. And I don’t like quitting, so I just sort of justified everything in my head and said, “You’ve got to just commit to this, and make it as good as you can make it, and just hope for the best.” But it was difficult because what I felt was some shadiness and dishonesty as far as getting us all out there, so I never enjoyed it..”
However, the ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ star went on to add that after realising that a generation of children had held on to the movie as it approached its 10th and 20th anniveraries, he has lean
He added: “And then all of a sudden, all these kids…not kids, they were older, they were in their twenties at this point, started coming up to me almost every day. I would go out and they’d be like, ‘Ooh my God, let’s go, Scooby. I love…’And I’d just be like, ‘Ah, why? Why?’ And then after a hundred, a thousand, ten thousand people tell that to you. I needed to let go of all my BS and all the feelings that I had towards Warner Brothers.
“And so then I embraced that a lot more. In the last ten or twelve years, I’ve really learned to appreciate it and what it did for multiple generations.”

James Gunn confirms Superman Legacy news and reveals why he’s directing new movie

OHMYGOSSIP — James Gunn will direct ‘Superman: Legacy’.
The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ filmmaker will be at the helm of the new movie based on the Man of Steel, after it was previously announced he would write the script for the upcoming project focused on a younger version of Clark Kent.
Discussing the news on Twitter, Gunn wrote: “Yes, I’m directing Superman: Legacy to be released on July 11, 2025.
“My brother Matt told me when he saw the release date he started to cry. I asked him why. He said, ‘Dude, it’s Dad’s birthday.’ I hadn’t realized.
“I lost my Dad almost three years ago. He was my best friend.
“He didn’t understand me as a kid, but he supported my love of comics and my love of film and I wouldn’t be making this movie now without him.”
He admitted it’s “been a long road to this point”, having first been offered a ‘Superman’ movie “years ago” but initially turned it down because he “didn’t have a way in that felt unique and fun and emotional that gave Superman the dignity he deserved”.
He continued: “Then a bit less than a year ago I saw a way in, in many ways centering around Superman’s heritage – how both his aristocratic Kryptonian parents and his Kansas farmer parents inform who he is and the choices he makes.
“So I chose to finally take on writing the script. But I was hesitant to direct, despite the constant pestering by Peter Safran and others to commit (sorry, Peter).
“Just because I write something doesn’t mean I feel it in my bones, visually and emotionally, enough to spend over two years directing it, especially not something of this magnitude.
“But, the long and the short of it is, I love this script, and I’m incredibly excited as we begin this journey. #UpUpandAway”
It’s currently not clear who will play Superman following the departure of Henry Cavill from the DC Universe not long after he reprised his role in a cameo for ‘Black Adam’.

Arthur Darvill open to Doctor Who return

OHMYGOSSIP — Arthur Darvill is open to a ‘Doctor Who’ return under the right circumstances.
The 39-year-old actor – who is currently starring on stage as cowboy Curly in the latest ‘Oklahoma!’ revival – played companion Rory Williams on the BBC’s sci-fi show alongside Karen Gillan (Amy Pond) and Matt Smith’s 11th Doctor.
While an imminent return for the programme’s 60th anniversary isn’t on the cards, he told the Metro newspaper: “I always said that I wouldn’t but I think that changes over time.
“I’m sure it will happen at some point. [Matt, Karen and I] have always said we’d have to do it together.”
It’s been 13 years since Arthur rose to fame as an actor on ‘Doctor Who’, and he never expected his career to take such a turn.
He reflected: “I’d come from theatre and I’d never really thought, ‘I’m going to be on TV’. It felt a bit like starting again.”
Since appearing on the show, he has stayed close with Karen and Matt, and he still feels like part of the wider Whovian family.
Recalling a time working with John Simm – who played villain The Master on the show – he explained: “I did a job with John Simm recently and it immediately gives you this shorthand of, ‘We’ve not been in the same room before, but we know each other.’ ”
Arthur has spent some time in the US working on the likes of DC series ‘Legends of Tomorrow’, but he felt ready to return to the UK.
He said: “What terrifies me about a lot of the American stuff is that their series just run and run and run.
“Even if you’re in the best show in the world, you’re doing the same thing for seven years, and that is a scary thing for me because life is so short.”
However, he’s now in a place in his life and career where he is looking forward to what’s to come.
He added: “I think I’ve gained in confidence in some ways and I know myself a lot better but also feel a lot more emotional and vulnerable than I ever have, and hopefully I can bring that to my work.”

The Gold is getting a second season

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Gold’ has been renewed for a second season.
The BBC One drama – which is based on the infamous £26 million Brink’s-Mat heist in 1983 and stars Jack Lowden and Hugh Bonneville – is getting a follow-up series that will explore in further detail the stories of other figures in the crime like Charlie Wilson, the Great Train Robber who attempted to launder the dosh via Pablo Escobar’s drug ring.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “This will be music to the ears of fans, some of whom have already seen all the episodes on iPlayer.
“Although every channel and streamer likes to revisit true crime stories, The Gold is one which seems to have captured people’s imagination.
“Not only is it a nostalgia trip filled with Eighties cars, clothes and music, it provides a more in-depth look at the background of the criminals involved. Now they’re going to explore even more characters involved in the original crime.”
Building on the success of the true-crime adaptation – which sees the ‘Paddington’ star, 59, play Detective Superintendent Brian Boyce and the ‘Slow Horses’ star, 32, take on the real-life crook Kenneth Noye – the Beeb has also commissioned a one-off hour-long documentary exploring the investigation, ‘The Gold: The Inside Story’.
Speaking publicly for the first time in nearly 40 years about the case, Brian says in the programme: “Our task was far greater than just arresting the robbers, we hadn’t even recovered the dust of the gold. We had to work extremely hard, follow the trail and recover as much of the gold as possible.”
Simon Young, the BBC’s Head of History, added: “Few robberies are as iconic as Brink’s-Mat or have had such a profound effect on the country. That’s why it’s so fascinating to hear Brian Boyce and his colleagues give such a frank and unvarnished account of the challenges the police faced in attempting to solve such a colossal crime.”

Graham Norton, Lulu and Sam Ryder judging celebrity Eurovision for Comic Relief

OHMYGOSSIP — Graham Norton, Lulu and Sam Ryder will judge a celebrity ‘Eurovision Song Contest’ for Comic Relief.
The trio will form a panel watching a variety of famous faces trying to audition to become the UK’s next entry, with Tony Hadley, Bono, Jamie Dornan, The Fizz and Miranda Hart all taking part in the sketch for the BBC charity telethon.
In a statement, Graham said: “[Comic Relief is] a fantastic coming together, we all work in a very silly industry and it’s great that we can all come together and do something that really matters.”
Sam added: “I remember watching it with my parents growing up, and I feel like that’s such a privilege and a gift that I get to be involved with things I loved as a kid, I’m getting to experience first-hand now, so I’m really grateful.”
Meanwhile, Lulu admitted she doesn’t know the secret to the perfect Eurovision song.
She quipped: “If I knew, don’t you think I’d be writing them every year!”
From The Fizz trying to settle on a song choice and Tony seeing if he’s still got it to Jamie trying to sing and Bono looking to outside the competition, one of the contestants might need a hug from Dermot O’Leary by the end of the night.
The sketch will be part of the Comic Relief broadcast on Friday (17.03.23) from 7pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, while the show will also feature a ‘Blackadder’ revival focused on Sir Tony Robinson’s Baldrick.
Last month, creator Richard Curtis admitted he was “excited” the show to be back in some form.
He said: “For the first time in 20 years, Baldrick is going to be giving some kind of performance.
“We’re just conspiring about it now, so I think there’s going to be a marvellous, turnip-based thing with Tony Robinson now back in action, so I’m excited about that.”

Andrew Garfield and Mia Goth set for Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew Garfield, Oscar Isaac and Mia Goth are in talks to join the cast of Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Frankenstein’.
Insiders say that the trio are in early talks to feature in the ‘Pinocchio’ director’s next live-action film that is in development at Netflix.
Sources close to the movie insist that Del Toro is still working on the script and no actors have received any formal offers, although the director is believed to have met with all three stars and they are on board to feature.
The ‘Hellboy’ director has been working on the ‘Frankenstein’ project for a while and he has long wished to make a movie based on Mary Shelley’s classic story.
It is unknown whether Del Toro’s take will be a period piece or set in modern times. It is also uncertain as to who will be playing Doctor Frankenstein or his creation – but it is thought that Goth will be playing the doctor’s love interest.
The director is coming off the back of Oscars success for his stop-motion animated adaptation of ‘Pinocchio’, which triumphed in the Best Animated Feature Film category at the Academy Awards on Sunday (12.03.23).
Del Toro called for more support for animated movies in Hollywood and thinks the art form should be taken more seriously.
He said: “Animation is ready to be taken to the next step.
“Animation is cinema, animation is not a genre… Keep animation in the conversation.”
The 58-year-old director is promising to finance stop-motion classes for children in his native Mexico but thinks it will require more than an Oscar victory to aid animators.
Del Toro, who has now won three Academy Awards, said: “This is an art form that has kept being kneecapped commercially and industrially and the kid’s table for so long.
“And it really is a mature, expressive, beautiful, complex, art form. So a win helps, but it is about going forward as a community.”

Jack Black to star in festive comedy Dear Santa

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Black is to star in the Christmas comedy ‘Dear Santa’.
The 53-year-old actor will reunite with brothers Bobby and Peter Farrelly on the new festive film, more than two decades after the trio worked together on ‘Shallow Hal’.
The movie centres on a young boy who, in writing his yearly letter to Santa, mixes up the letters and accidentally sends it to Satan instead. Black recently teased the project on social media when he posed for a photo with Christmas decorations with no context.
Sources have told Deadline that Bobby Farrelly is set to direct with Peter on board to produce alongside his brother and Jeremy Kramer.
The film will also star Robert Timothy Smith, Keegan Michael-Key, Brianne Howey, Hayes McArthur, PJ Byrne, Kai Cech, Austin Post and newcomer Jaden Carson Baker.
The current draft of the script has been written by the Farrelly brothers and Ricky Blitt and is based on an original idea by Dan Ewen.
Jack has enjoyed a successful movie career and has starred in hits such as ‘School of Rock’ and ‘The Holiday’ but he used to believe that he was a terrible actor when he first started out.
He said: “I remember the first movie I ever did. I saw a rough cut, and I was like, ‘Oh, my god, I’m a bad actor. I’m horrible.’ And then, the editor just did some magic, and by the end, when it was released in theatres, I was like, ‘Oh, my god, I’m fantastic. I’m fantastic at acting!'”
Jack went on to explain that it was all “magic” done in post-production and thinks that editors should be given more credit for the work they do on movies.
The ‘Kung Fu Panda’ actor said: “The editor trims away all the fat, which is a crucial job. People don’t celebrate the editor!”

Simon Gregson says ‘woman dressed in white’ haunts his house

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Gregson insists a “woman dressed in white” is haunting his house.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star and his family – including his wife Emma Gleave, 39, and his three sons, Alfie, 15, Harry, 13, and Henry, six – appeared on the Discovery+ paranormal series, ‘Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted’ and revealed how they have spotted a lady on the “landing by the stairs”.
The 48-year-old soap star said: “My wife Emma, my eldest son, Alfie, and I have seen a woman who’s dressed in white and crosses the landing by the stairs.
“One time, about 1.30am, I saw her go across. First I thought it was Emma coming in after a night out with her friends.
“When I rang to ask if it was her, she replied, ‘No, you’re going to tell me you’ve seen a woman crossing the landing, aren’t you? I’ve seen her, too!’
“Alfie has seen the most, though. He’s told us he’s seen a woman outside his room and what looked like the heads of children poking around the door.”
Simon explained to the ghostly experts Barri Ghai, a ghost hunter, Ian Lawman, a psychic medium, and Jayne Harris, a paranormal researcher.
He added: “We moved here in 2007, and, three years later, spooky things started happening. I would call myself a sceptical believer – I believe in it but I need concrete evidence to make me 100 per cent.
“I’ve always been interested in paranormal activity, though. I’ve always thought, ‘It can’t just be us here – there’s got to be something else, right?’”
He admitted he wants to “know exactly” what he and his family have on their hands.
Simon said: “I wanted to know exactly what we’ve got here, so, hopefully, we could put the whole thing to rest and get rid of the ghosts!
“What appealed to me was that the experts go into the whole history of the house and the local area.
“As soon as the team set up their equipment, they were picking up voices of the spirits.”

Gethin Jones is hoping for Strictly Come Dancing reunion on Comic Relief

OHMYGOSSIP — Gethin Jones is expecting a ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ reunion with Camilla Dallerup on ‘Comic Relief’.
The ‘Morning Live’ presenter is “wondering” if the 48-year-old former professional dancer – with whom he reached third place in 2007 on the star-studded Latin and ballroom competition – will be joining in the fun when he returns to the dance floor for a 24-hour challenge as part of the BBC One charity appeal.
The 45-year-old broadcaster told the Metro newspaper’s Sixty Seconds column: “What’s really interesting at the moment is that I’ll mention a few people like Camilla to the team, and they all sort of smile at me.
“I know there’s a whole lot of surprises that I’m not aware of, and I’m wondering whether Camilla might be involved with it at some point.
“I’ve got a sneaky feeling she might pop up at 1am while she’s having breakfast overlooking the sea in LA, which could either be motivating or demoralising. I haven’t decided yet.”
Gethin – who is a keen adventurer and has also joined GO Outdoors as their latest ambassador – recalled the “tough” days training back when he was vying for the Glitterball trophy.
He said: “I remember training for that would be eight, nine hours a day on your feet and it was really tough. I lost like a stone-and-half doing Strictly in three months.
“I think Camilla, my partner on the show back in the day in 2007, would be absolutely mortified. She used to say, ‘Geth, just don’t get out of hold, stay in hold. You’ll do all right. As soon as you dance on your own, it’s embarrassing. Don’t ever do it,’ and now I’m doing it for 24 hours.”
The ex ‘Blue Presenter’ star loved how the challenges during the fundraiser are “epic” and a “big team effort” where everyone mucks in to raise as much money as possible.
He added: “I think the whole thing with Red Nose Day these days is these challenges are epic but also fun and a big team effort. And the donations will probably be the thing that keeps you going, because you know where the money is going.
“As a kid I’d busk on the street for ‘Children In Need’ and raise money for ‘Comic Relief’ in school, so being asked to do one of their big challenges is a real privilege.”
