Shirley Ballas hints at Strictly Come Dancing exit

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley Ballas has hinted she may not return to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ because she’s sick of being trolled.
The 62-year-old judge admitted she reached an “all-time low” last year because the online abuse she received over her decisions on the programme left her “crying and emotional”, and she has yet to sign a contract to return to the celebrity Latin and ballroom contest.
She told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Last year I was struggling. It wasn’t just a little bit, it was a lot – the majority of it was in silence.
“I felt the abuse snowballed out of control and impacted me in such a negative way. I’m a pretty stoic person, and I tend to hold everything in.
“When it all kicked off, it seemed like it was larger than anything else.
“I was crying, I was emotional, but I was embarrassed about being so emotional. I didn’t want to talk to anybody about it.
“And that was an all-time low since I joined the show – it was the most negativity I’d ever experienced. The BBC were brilliant, checking in on me and offering counselling and support.”
Asked if she has considered quitting the show, she replied: “It was a difficult series, I’ll leave it at that.
“After the ‘Strictly’ tour I decided to take a break from TV and re-focus on my own industry for a while, to protect my sanity. I’m fortunate I have two jobs, running parallel, so it was much easier to take a break from TV and look after myself and my well-being.
“Will I go back to ‘Strictly’? I always take one step at a time.
“I absolutely love the job. If it was just that, and there was nothing else surrounding it, I can’t think of a more rewarding job to do.”
With one in five messages Shirley received last year being hate-filled, the dance expert has vowed to put measures in place to shield her from the cruel comments if she does return to the programme.
She said: “If I am back on ‘Strictly’ this year, I am going to have someone filtering my social media, so I don’t see every comment. I will also try not to take things so personally as I’ve realised that I’m not alone when it comes to online trolling. I’ll say to myself, ‘Come on Shirley, you’re not the only one’.
“As they say, if the kitchen’s too hot, get out. But if it’s not, tie on the apron, do up your hair and get on with it.”
And Shirley seemingly ruled out crossing the pond to judge ‘Dancing with the Stars’, on which her son Mark Ballas is one of the professional dancers.
Asked if she could find a role on the US show, she said: “Who knows what the future holds?
“My beautiful son Mark was crowned winner of the last series with his partner Charlie D’Amelio and I have trained many of the pro dancers.
“But my heart and loyalty lie with the BBC, for sure. They gave me my TV break and have always been there for me.”

Amanda Holden found safety in marriage to Les Dennis

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Holden admitted there was “a sort of safety” in her marriage to Les Dennis.
The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge was just 23 when she married the ‘Family Fortunes’ presenter, who is 17 years her senior, and though she doesn’t know if she was actively seeking a father figure in her relationship, she can understand why there was an appeal in marrying a much older man.
Asked if she was looking for a father figure, Amanda – whose affair with Neil Morrissey caused her and Les to split after eight years of marriage – told The Times newspaper: “I don’t know because I’ve never done therapy, but there is a sort of safety in a relationship like that.
“I was very young and I had a lot to learn about life.”
The former ‘Cutting It’ actress will always be grateful to have been offered a job judging ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ when the show launched in 2008 because it allowed people to see who she really was.
She said: “When I started on BGT people still remembered the divorce.
“But also people thought I was this posh girl when really I am from an estate. My parents talk liike thaat, yet people thought I was up myself, when really I am very down to earth.
“In fact I am too honest and open. I tell the truth to my own detriment.”
While the 52-year-old star – who has two daughters with husband Chris Hughes – has faced criticism for her raunchy outfits, she insisted she has no desire to stop “flaunting [her] bits” any time soon.
She said: “I was born in 1971 and my grandmother Ethel – a real woman warrior whom I worshipped — was 50 then. But she was from a generation who were told they should stop dyeing their hair and just fade into the background.
“Well, I’m from a generation of women who won’t do that — we’ll flaunt our bits for as long as we can. I am certainly going to — even when they’re drooping down to the floor, I’ll scoop them up again.”

Lenny Kravitz amazed by Hunger Games enduring popularity

OHMYGOSSIP — Lenny Kravitz is amazed by the sudden resurgence in recognition he’s received for his work on ‘The Hunger Games’.
The ‘Are You Gonna Go My Way?’ hitmaker portrayed stylist Cinna in the 2012 movie and its 2013 sequel ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ and after the films were recently re-added to Netflix, he’s astonished by the enduring popularity of the franchise.
He told Variety: “I started to notice more and more people were calling me Cinna out on the street and I was like, ‘What’s going on? Why are people all of a sudden back on that?’”
The 58-year-old rocker recently made a brief appearance in ‘Shotgun Wedding’ and is currently in the process of reading through scripts “trying to find something that really fits”.
He added: “I make few new movies because I’m normally in the studio or on the road.”
Lenny is also looking forward to his first presenting job at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Monday (27.03.23).
He said: “I’m just ready to get out there and I’m grateful to still be here.
“After all the years I have behind me — to still be so vibrant and feel so inspired — is truly a gift.
“And in this very special case, it’s beautiful to meet and witness the people coming up now in this generation. It’s a special moment in my career.”
Lenny recently revealed he’d love to work on a movie with his daughter, ‘Big Little Lies’ actress Zoe Kravitz.
He told E! News: “We have discussed it, it would have to be the right thing.
“But I would love to work with her one day. I adore her, and it would be a lot of fun.”

Nicholas Hoult is wildly talented, says Nicolas Cage

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicolas Cage thinks Nicholas Hoult is “wildly talented”.
The 59-year-old actor stars alongside Nicholas, 33, in ‘Renfield’ – the comedy-horror film directed by Chris McKay – and the Hollywood veteran has heaped praise on his co-star.
Asked about his experience of working with Nicholas, he told Collider: “Nic is somebody that I’ve admired ever since I worked with him on ‘The Weather Man’, he played my son in that movie. And even that, even in his teenage years, I could tell he was wildly talented and gonna be the star that he’s subsequently become.
“So I was just happy to get back on set with him.
“You know, it’s been, I don’t know, 13 to 15 years, but any chance I had, I just started throwing lines at him because I wanted to rehearse – we didn’t get that much time to rehearse together. He had his hands full.”
Nicolas described himself as being “very much in support of Nic in this movie”.
The actor also confessed that he didn’t have a lot of time to prepare for their scenes and therefore, he adjusted his approach to the project.
He said: “I didn’t have much time to get in a room with him. So I would throw my rehearsals at him.
“I was going through the dialogue and videotaping my monologues, or whatnot, I would just start throwing them at him and see how he would respond because it was important to me that I was able to support what Nic was doing.”

Montana Brown says stalker used AirTag to track her

OHMYGOSSIP — Montana Brown claims a stalker used an Apple AirTag to track her location.
The former ‘Love Island’ star discovered that her movements were being tracked by an AirTag – a small device that usually pairs with a phone – during a trip to Los Angeles.
Montana, 27 – who flushed the device without thinking too much of it – told BBC Newsbeat: “It was only really when I came back home and I told a few of my friends … I realised that’s so creepy.
“My friends were like: ‘you should absolutely be making more of a big deal out of this because this could happen to anybody’.”
Montana actually detailed her experience on social media, and after reading through her replies, it dawned on the TV star that “this is clearly something that happens quite often”.
She added: “This is obviously a method that people are using to track people, and maybe track women who are travelling on their own.
“So that was kind of a penny drop. I was just thankful that I found it and was able to get rid of it.”
Tallulah Belassie-Page, from The Suzy Lamplugh Trust, which supports victims of stalking, revealed that incidents of tracking have recently increased.
She shared: “We have had several reports of AirTags being used to track victims, often with victims as young as school age receiving these alerts that an AirTag is on their person.
“They were produced by Apple to help you track things such as your keys and wallet, but we do know that in the hands of the wrong perpetrator they can be used for stalking.”
Meanwhile, Apple has condemned the misuse of its products in “the strongest possible terms”.

Coronation Street’s Paul Foreman diagnosed with motor neurone disease

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’s Paul Foreman is set to be diagnosed with motor neurone disease in the coming weeks.
The character, played by Peter Ash, will be given the devastating news in April, after he notices issues with his balance, mobility and dexterity.
The 38-year-old actor explained: “Paul is completely blindsided by the diagnosis and he decides to keep it from his family and friends as he tries to come to terms with the news.”
‘Coronation Street’ and Peter have turned to the Motor Neurone Disease Association in bid to develop a better understanding of the condition and the challenges of living with it.
Peter shared: “I knew very little about motor neurone disease before embarking on the storyline and I am hugely grateful to the Motor Neurone Disease Association for all their help and support.
“For any actor playing a role which examines a real life issue or condition there comes a huge sense of responsibility and we are aware that some people watching this storyline are experiencing it in reality, it is their life.”
Peter hopes that his storyline will help to raise awareness of what it’s like for someone to live with the condition.
He said: “Awareness and education are really important.
“I have learned so much even in the short time I have been involved in this storyline. We hope Paul’s journey can make people more aware of the symptoms and what it is like for someone to live with motor neurone disease.”
Chris James, the director of external affairs at the Motor Neurone Disease Association, is also pleased that ‘Coronation Street’ bosses have decided to explore the issue.
Chris explained: “Putting motor neurone disease in front of millions of viewers every week will raise incredible awareness and help educate people who have never come across this disease – showing the day to day reality for those living with it and the impact on their families, friends and neighbours too.
“The ‘Coronation Street’ team has been incredibly responsible when considering storylines, scenarios and scripts, spending a lot of time talking to us and members of the motor neurone disease community to ensure the onscreen portrayal of motor neurone disease is realistic, sympathetic and sensitive.”

Alison Hammond’s ‘weird’ audition for Great British Bake Off

OHMYGOSSIP — Alison Hammond had a “weird” audition for her job on ‘The Great British Bake Off’.
The former ‘Big Brother’ star was recently announced as the show’s new host replacing comedian Matt Lucas in the line-up for the 2023 series of the Channel 4 show and she’s now revealed the casting process was slightly strange.
She told The Sun newspaper: “They made me interview random strangers, to obviously see if I’m good with different people. It was a weird audition.”
Alison eventually landed the job but she had to keep her exciting news a secret for three weeks and wasn’t even allowed to tell her 18-year-old son Aiden.
She added: “Can you believe I couldn’t tell anybody? You know what my mouth is like.”
Despite being thrilled by her new role, Alison admits it’s been bittersweet because she is sad her late mum Maria isn’t around to see her daughter host one of her favourite shows, saying: “The fact she doesn’t get to see it - I’m devastated. It’s bittersweet. My mum was always a massive supporter of me. She was always cheering me on from the side lines.”
The telly presenter confirmed the news publicly earlier this month by posting a tweet which read: “It’s Official!! It’s happening The Great British Bake off! let’s have it – The cake that is so excited @BritishBakeOff @Channel4 @PrueLeith @PaulHollywood @noelfielding11 #GBBO.”
She will be hosting the show alongside fellow presenter Noel Fielding and judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood.
Noel was among the first to congratulate Alison on her new role, tweeting: “It gives me so much pleasure to welcome @alisonhammond55 into the tent. I’m absolutely pumped we are working together. We are gonna spend the whole time giggling like naughty school kids.
“The bakers are gonna love you to bits. x x x @paul.hollywood @prueleith @britishbakeoff x.”
‘The Great British Bake Off’ will be filmed over the summer and is expected to return to TV later in the year.

Top Gear series axed following Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff’s horror crash

OHMYGOSSIP — The BBC have cancelled the latest series of ‘Top Gear’ following Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff’s accident.
The network stopped production on the motoring show after the presenter was airlifted to hospital after being seriously injured in a car crash during filming at the programme’s test track at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey in December, and they have now announced it would be “inappropriate” to resume filming.
They said in a statement: “Under the circumstances, we feel it would be inappropriate to resume making series 34.”
A decision on how best to continue will be made later this year and the BBC plan to carry out a health and safety review of the show.
The statement continued: “We have sincerely apologised to Freddie and will continue to support him with his recovery.
“We understand this [halting the show] will be disappointing for fans, but it is the right thing to do, and we’ll make a judgement about how best to continue later this year.
“Finally there will be a health and safety review of the show, in line with our procedures.”
The statement came after sources claimed the 45-year-old former cricketer had decided to quit the show, which he has co-hosted since 2019 alongside Chris Harris and Paddy McGuinness, because he has been left traumatised by the crash.
An insider told The Times newspaper: “Freddie has been seriously emotionally and physically affected by the crash.
“He is a daredevil, that’s what he does, and he doesn’t feel like he is able to continue to play that role on the show.”
In February 2019, Freddie crashed into a market stall in Mansfield during ‘Top Gear’ filming.
And in September of the same year, he also crashed during a drag race at Elvington Airfield in Yorkshire, but walked away unharmed.

Halle Bailey’s Little Mermaid won’t ‘leave the ocean for a boy’

OHMYGOSSIP — Halle Bailey’s ‘Little Mermaid’ won’t leave her home in the sea just to find love.
The actress will play Ariel in the new live action version of Disney’s 1989 animated classic ‘The Little Mermaid’ and she’s now revealed the character’s motivations for wanting to move to dry land won’t solely revolve around her romance with Prince Eric, played by Jonah Hauer-King.
In an interview with Edition magazine, she explained: “I’m really excited for my version of the film because we’ve definitely changed that perspective of just her wanting to leave the ocean for a boy. It’s way bigger than that. It’s about herself, her purpose, her freedom, her life and what she wants.
“As women we are amazing, we are independent, we are modern, we are everything and above. And I’m glad that Disney is updating some of those themes.”
Halle also revealed the shoot at Pinewood Studios in the UK was incredibly gruelling with the actress spending up to 13 hours a day in water, but she was keen to rise to the challenge.
She went on: “I pushed myself as far as I’ve ever pushed myself in life. And I feel like the message from her [Ariel] was to know that you’ve always had it in you.”
Director Rob Marshall previously opened up about changes being made in the new version, revealing they also decided to flesh out the “wooden” character of Prince Eric.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the moviemaker said: “The role of Eric in the animated film – I’m sure the original creators would agree with this – it’s a wooden, classic prince character with not a lot going on.
“There’s a whole story that’s developed in our film. He has a mother, a queen, that’s new to the film. He has a very similar trajectory in a way to Ariel. He doesn’t feel like it’s where he fits in, his world.
“These two kindred spirits find each other and really teach the world about prejudice and about breaking down barriers and walls between these two worlds.”

‘I cut a gentleman’s head open’: Keanu Reeves confesses to ‘mistake’ filming John Wick: Chapter 4

OHMYGOSSIP — Keanu Reeves accidentally “cut a gentleman’s head open” while making ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’.
The 58-year-old actor – who reprised his role as the titular character in the action thriller – admitted things didn’t always go according to plan during filming, with another person on set hospitalised after being hit by a car.
Speaking to ComicBook.com, he said: “Well I mean everyone is pretty tired – but it’s the best kind of tired. It’s like you climbed a mountain now you’re resting; like you finished the game and you won.
“So in terms of accidents: I made a mistake once – I cut a gentleman’s head open. So that really f*****g sucked – excuse my language.
“But other than that – oh, one guy got hit by a car. He was in the car, so he had to go to the hospital, but he was okay.”
But Keanu praised the close-knit set because everyone looks out for each other and he insisted no one was “harmed” while making the film.
He said: “All of this to say: that you do have to take care.
“But it’s great that everyone [on set] is watching out for each other.
“So there’s some bruising and aches and pains, but ‘No humans were harmed in the filming of this motion picture!'”
The Canadian star recently praised the work that went into coordinating a fight scene in the middle of a party in a nightclub.
He told Collider: “Well, you’re dealing with space and also you’re dealing on the strength of the people who are in the background in the sense of committing to it. Like, they had to keep dancing or be in the moment and kind of just ignore that fight scene that’s going on around you and in front of you. So that kind of cooperation, keeping the moment alive, and feeling authentic. So it’s really just practice, run-throughs, people getting used to the action around them.”

Dannyn Dyer fronting new reality show Scared of the Dark

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer is fronting new reality show ‘Scared of the Dark’.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actor is set to host the fresh Channel 4 show which will see eight celebrities stuck in a pitch black bunker – a purpose built living space designed to block out all light – for eight days, with their terrifying experience captured by 50 infrared cameras.
He commented: “This is possibly one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever done in my career, and I have done a lot of mad things.
“Throw in a bunch of celebs and make them do things with the lights off – it’s proper good telly.
“You’re gonna laugh, you’re gonna laugh some more and I promise you’re gonna love it.”
The show will air over five successive nights, following the celebrities as they get used to living in the dark, while the only way to escape to the light is to shout “I’m scared of the dark”.
The lineup includes former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ favourite Nicola Adams, Gogglebox’s Scarlett Moffatt, football legend Paul Gascoigne, The Wanted singer Max George, ‘Love Island’ star Chloe Burrows, boxer Chris Eubank, comedian Chris McCausland, and actress Donna Preston.
The celebrities will each face a series of tasks testing either their fear of the dark or their ability to function in such settings.
If they fail, they’ll face even tougher challenges to remain on the show, and only one person will emerge the winner.
They’ll have some support from clinical psychiatrist Dr. Tharaka Gunarathne, who will be watching their every move.
Dr. Tharaka said: “One the hardest challenges the celebrities face is dealing with the unknown; their psychological sense of uncertainty is at an all-time high.
“When you can’t see, your brain fills in the blanks and often imagines the worse.
“When you switch off the lights your ability to stay safe is suddenly threatened and that is what makes this particularly frightening.”

Road Trip bosses hope Gino D’Acampo still signs new deal

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip’ bosses are hoping Gino D’Acampo will return to the show.
The Italian chef left fans and producers shocked over the weekend when he announced he was quitting the popular ITV series over scheduling and contract issues, but the team are hoping his bond with co-stars Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix may be enough for a U-turn.
An insider to the Mail Online: “Bosses hope to convince Gino to stay on with Gordon and Fred, because they genuinely have fun together and make great telly.”
It’s said everyone involved was stunned by his social media announcement, which comes as bosses thought “talks were ongoing”.
The source added: “Everybody connected with the show was shocked by Gino’s post. As far as bosses were concerned, talks were ongoing and a settlement was in reach.
“Contract negotiations are always difficult because of the trio’s schedules so the filming window where they can actually get the three of them together is pretty tight.
“But clearly Gino has lost patience and pulled out.”
On Sunday (19.03.23), Gino revealed he had “decided not to film any more” road trips, but he insisted it was “nothing to do with Gordon or Fred”, noting their “friendship is very strong”.
He said in an Instagram video: “It’s just because we can’t get the dates together and sometimes when we do get the dates together sometimes they get changed and it causes a lot of problems for me because I have other stuff that I have to do.
“Personal problems as well because when I have to change things with my family it is very complicated and also because [of] contracts.”
Gino – who has sons Luciano, 21 and Rocco, 18, and nine-year-old daughter Mia with wife Jessica Stellina Morrison – explained that he made the decision to preserve his friendships.
He continued: “Because contracts start to become very complicated and very stressful, I personally value the friendship with Gordon and Fred so much that I would rather the friendship than arguments with the contract.
“So I have decided not to do it anymore because I want to be friends with the boys for many, many years ahead.”

Evan Rachel Wood lands part in Backspot

OHMYGOSSIP — Evan Rachel Wood has been cast in ‘Backspot’.
The 35-year-old star will play the role of professional cheer coach Eileen McNamara in the film from D.W. Waterson.
The movie will star Devery Jacobs and Kudakwashe Rutendo in the lead roles as queer young athletes as mid-level cheerleaders Riley and Amanda – who are pulled from their team to join McNamara’s high-performance Thunderhawks squad.
The film has wrapped principal production after weeks of shooting in Toronto and has Elliot Page on board as an executive producer.
Matthew Jordan Smith, J.C. Davidson and Katisha Shaw will serve as executive producers alongside Page.
Waterson said: “‘Backspot’ has been five years in the making and now that we’ve completed production, we can say with all confidence that we have created something very special.
“Having Evan join the cast was a fantasy fulfilled as she was who we wanted for the role of Eileen from inception. We feel so privileged to have worked with the calibre of talent Evan exemplifies alongside the rest of our cast and dedicated crew.
“Every single person involved left it all on the mat and we are eternally grateful.”
Jordan Smith – head of development and production at Page Boy Productions – said: “The importance of excellence in queer storytelling has never been more necessary and attracting a dream cast which includes the transcendent genius that is Evan Rachel Wood is a testament to the quality of the ‘Backspot’ production.
“The depth of Evan’s multidimensional talent and her natural raw power are essential to bringing her character Eileen to life. From the script to execution, we are incredibly proud to be producing ‘Backspot’ as one of the first projects under the Page Boy banner.”

Cillian Murphy cast in Small Things Like These

OHMYGOSSIP — Cillian Murphy is to star in ‘Small Things Like These’.
The ‘Peaky Blinders’ actor has been cast in the adaptation of Claire Keegan’s novel that has been green-lit by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s production company Artists Equity.
Principal photography on the film has begun in Ireland with Emily Watson and Ciaran Hinds also set to star in the drama.
The story has been likened to a Charles Dickens tale and takes place over Christmas in 1985 as devoted father Bill Furlong (Murphy) discovers the shocking secrets being kept by the convent in his town and some damning truths about his own life too.
Murphy, 46, will serve as a producer on the movie and will be reunited with director Tim Mielants after the pair collaborated on ‘Peaky Blinders’. Damon and Affleck are involved as producer and executive producer respectively.
Cillian said: “I’m honoured and thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Claire Keegan’s magnificent novel to the screen.
“We have gathered together a phenomenal team of creatives to make this film, and found exceptional partners in AE, a studio led by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck – actors and filmmakers I have admired for many years.”
The star previously revealed how he loves taking on parts in “melancholic” pieces and has no interest in featuring in a romantic comedy.
He said: “I’ve always been interested in stuff that is — I don’t want to say on the darker side, because that’s too reductive — the melancholic, or the ambiguous, or the more transgressive. That, to me, is drama. That is where the real stuff is to be mined. I’m not interested in romantic comedies. I’m just not. In all the great films or literature or plays, they’re the things I’m interested in.
“That’s not to say they can’t be funny: [the playwright Samuel] Beckett is funny; Enda [Walsh] is very funny. But getting into those knotty, difficult, uncomfortable places — I really find that stimulating.”

Lord Sugar: Apprentice may kill itself off if I was replaced

OHMYGOSSIP — Lord Sugar thinks ‘The Apprentice’ would “kill itself off” if he was replaced.
The 75-year-old businessman has fronted all 17 series of the BBC show, but he “can’t think of anybody” who could sufficiently replace him on the programme.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I don’t want to sound too big-headed but a lot of people underestimate me.
“They hear me talking like a cockney, but I know everything, I really do.
“I’m not degrading people like (‘Dragons’ Den’ star) Peter Jones, because they’ve done a lot also.
“But none of them have done as much as I have.
“Who would I put in my place? I can’t think of anybody. There’s loads of people that would queue up.”
Lord Sugar has previously hinted he may exit the show’s boardroom after a 20th series, but now admits he could do another 25 years of the show when he is into his 100th year.
He said: “There’s no reason why I can’t go on to do 25 years. I’m very fit, so I don’t know whether it stops at 20. But if I ever did stop, I get a feeling the BBC wouldn’t stop it.
“I think they would try to find someone new to do it and that’s where it may kill itself off.”
The star thinks the only way the show could go on after him is if the series was rested for 10 years.
He added: “When Donald Trump gave up his one in the US they got Arnold Schwarzenegger to do it.
“But he was pathetic – and Trump was bad enough. It really destroyed the format.
“If it was up to me, I think it should be, ‘Thank you very much, it’s been great, but maybe in 10 years’ time we’ll bring it back’. like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, but with different characters hosting.”
In January, Lord Sugar insisted the only way he would leave ‘The Apprentice’ is “in a coffin”.
He said: “If I was to finish, 20 years would be much nicer. Of course, that decision is not mine. The BBC would have to make it.
“But I’d certainly be prepared to do it at least to the 20th and if I feel fit and happy, there’s no reason why I can’t just carry on until they take me out of the boardroom in a coffin.”

Ekin Su Culcuologu wants to visit Turkey with the Red Cross

OHMYGOSSIP — Ekin-Su Culculoglu wants to visit Turkey with the Red Cross in the wake of the devastating earthquake.
The 28-year-old reality star – who is of Turkish origin and lived in Istanbul for two years – had revealed some of her extended family were affected by the horror earthquake which has hit parts of Turkey and Sydia, and her boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti has been a huge source of comfort amid the tragedy.
She told Women’s Health Magazine: “Davide has been great supporting me emotionally.
“I was with him when we heard and I just couldn’t comprehend the devastation.
“I’ve been keeping up with the news since it struck… I hope to visit the affected area with The Red Cross as soon as it’s safe.”
The ‘Love Island star’ was born in London to Turkish parents, and lived in Istanbul while appearing on Turkish television before moving back home.
The Turkey-Syria earthquake has become the deadliest seismic event in over a decade, with a death toll which has risen to 11,719, including 9,057 people in Turkey alone.
Elsewhere in her Women’s Health Magazine interview, Ekin-Su heeped praise on Davide and shrugged off speculation their relationship was a ‘showmance’.
She gushed: “I’ll come home tired and he’s there with food prepared. I’ll feel like I’m gonna have a breakdown and he’ll be like, ‘Why? Relax, Eat…you’ve got this.’ ”
The couple met in the ‘Love Island’ villa, and she has pondered how the show’s new rules will change the way some contestants approach it, with stars’ social media accounts getting frozen while they’re on the programme, meaning they can’t gain new followers while they’re away.
She said: “Pausing profiles, I think, is good – but then I think there are loads of negatives [for the careers of potential contestants].
“Why I think it’s good is because it’s purely based on finding love.
“People use ‘Love Island’ as a platform… Which I didn’t plan to. ‘It’s just what happened and, yeah, I’ve made the most of it… But the concept is of finding a partner… Instagram, all that stuff is a bonus.”
