Michelle Dockery joins Tom Hanks in Robert Zemeckis’ Here

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Dockery has joined Tom Hanks in ‘Here’.
The ‘Downton Abbey’ actress is to team up with Robert Zemeckis, who is adapting Richard McGuire’s graphic novel of the same name.
Sony Pictures have acquired US rights for the movie, and Miramax have international rights, according to Deadline.
The motion picture will see Hanks, Zemeckis and Eric Roth reunite for the first time since their talents came together on the classic 1994 movie ‘Forrest Gump’.
The drama won six Oscars, with Hanks (Best Actor), Zemeckis (Best Director) and Roth (Best Adapted Screenplay) all taking home gongs in addition to the movie’s Best Picture triumph.
‘Here’ has Hanks attached to star, with Zemeckis directing and Roth writing the script.
The plot of McGuire’s novel is centred in one room and chronicles the events that have occurred in that space over the course of hundreds of thousands of years.
Following the success of ‘Forrest Gump’, Hanks, 66, has worked with Zemeckis and Roth separately. He teamed up with the former for ‘Cast Away’ and ‘The Polar Express’, and he joined forces with the latter on the 2011 film ‘Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close’.
Dockery looks set to be busy in the coming months, because she has also signed up to star in psychological thriller movie ‘Please Don’t Feed the Children’.
Destry Allyn Spielberg – the daughter of legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg – will make her directorial debut on the movie.
Last month, Destry, 26, said: “I am so grateful to have the opportunity to bring this story to the screen with such a collaborative and inspirational team. This picture is so much more than just a horror film.
“It’s a dream come true to work with a talent such as Michelle Dockery. I am excited to elevate the genre with our incredible cast and crew.”

‘I don’t think I’m built for that world’: Bob Odenkirk doesn’t see himself in a Marvel movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Bob Odenkirk doesn’t feel “built” for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The ‘Better Call Saul’ star – who is best known for his role as Saul Goodman on the AMC crime drama series’ Breaking Bad’ and the aforementioned spin-off – has admitted he would much rather play relatable roles than a fantasy superhero or villain in the blockbuster franchise.
Speaking to The Independent, he said: “I always like to keep things grounded, relatable and smaller. I don’t think I’m built for that world.
“I’m built for characters that make you feel like that guy could live next door.”
The 60-year-old actor is, however, keen to do more action movies and is reprising his titular role as former government assassin Hutch Mansell in the upcoming sequel to 2021’s ‘Nobody’.
Speaking about his character, he said: “[Hutch] is still a family man, but his relationship to violence is different. He’s changed, but he’s still got a long way to go to find real balance in how he’s living his life.”
He added: “I care about this more than you could imagine. You’d think it’s the personal story of my life, and not an action-genre movie.”
Speaking during a masterclass at the Venice Film Festival last year, the ‘Fargo’ star expressed his desire to make more action movies with humour.
He said: “I was very surprised by ‘Nobody’. I had initiated that project because I had a feeling that the character I was developing in ‘Better Call Saul’ was the kind of character you see in an action film.
“He has earnest desires and he was willing to sacrifice himself … I still train multiple times a week and if I get my way you’re going to see me doing more action. I found the action sequences a great deal of fun and close to doing sketch comedy … I love the early Jackie Chan films which had humour in them. I’d like to get that in the future.”

Timothee Chalemet to do his own singing in Bob Dylan biopic

OHMYGOSSIP — Timothee Chalamet will be doing his own singing in the Bob Dylan biopic.
The movie, titled ‘A Complete Unknown’, has been teased by James Mangold at the Star Wars Celebration in London and confirmed that the ‘Bones and All’ actor will be using his vocals in his portrayal of the music icon.
Quizzed on if Timothee would be singing, James told Collider: “Of course.”
The director revealed that the movie – which is set to begin filming in August – will be set when a teenage Dylan arrives in New York in the early 1960s as he is on the path to becoming a “worldwide sensation”.
James explained: “It’s such an amazing time in American culture and the story of Bob – a young 19-year-old Bob Dylan coming to New York with like two dollars in his pocket and becoming a worldwide sensation within three years.
“First being embraced into the family of folk music in New York and kind of outrunning them at a certain point as his star rises so beyond belief.”
The ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ director added: “It’s such an interesting true story about such an interesting moment in the American scene, different characters from Woody Guthrie to Bob Dylan, to Pete Seeger to Joan Baez, all have a role to play in this movie.”
Mangold’s Dylan biopic was first announced in 2020 with Chalamet attached to play the lead role. At the time, it was not known if the actor would perform the music legend’s songs but it was revealed that he had started taking guitar lessons in preparation for the part.

Eric Dane to play villain in Bad Boys 4

OHMYGOSSIP — Eric Dane has joined the cast of ‘Bad Boys 4’.
The ‘Euphoria’ actor is set to play a villain in the latest installment of the buddy cop franchise.
Dane plays the role of Cal Jacobs in the teen drama series and also had a part in the TV show ‘Grey’s Anatomy’.
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are reprising their roles as detectives Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey respectively while Vanessa Hudgens, Paola Nunez and Alexander Ludwig are all returning after featuring in the 2020 film ‘Bad Boys for Life’.
The plot is being kept under wraps but Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will be behind the camera again and are directing from a script by Chris Bremner.
Martin revealed last year that he was confident that another movie would materialise after the success of ‘Bad Boys for Life’ – which became the franchise’s highest-grossing film when it was released.
He said: “We got one more at least.”
The original ‘Bad Boys’ film was released way back in 1995 and Lawrence felt that the project had a transformative impact on his career.
The 57-year-old star told Ebony magazine: “It was big.
“For us to come together and prove that we can deliver, and we can pull people into the box office – that two black stars, two sitcom stars, could make the money at the box office (was huge).
“I didn’t go to college, so I felt TV was my college years. I felt with movies, I had graduated; it was just different.”

Real Housewives of Cheshire star Natasha Hamilton masters ‘the perfect orgasm’

OHMYGOSSIP — Atomic Kitten star Natasha Hamilton has told how she has mastered “the perfect orgasm” after going on a sex retreat in an explosive new episode of ‘Real Housewives of Cheshire’.
In Monday night’s (10.04.23) episode of the ITVBe show, the singer opened up about her sex life as relationship guru Louise Van Der Velde, known as the Pleasure Professor, gave the stars tips on how to have more fun in the bedroom.
The girls were all excited to be on the sex retreat where Rachel Lugo said they were all going to “tickle each other till we climax”.
The retreat was the idea of Lauren Simon, a close friend of Van Der Velde, who is advising her on how to find her dream man following her divorce five years ago.
Lauren, 48, tells the girls: “Tonight I have invited you along to get in touch with your perfect orgasm.”
Natasha 40, replies: “I mastered that a long time ago!”
The ‘Whole Again’ singer went on to explain how to keep her happy in the bedroom, saying: “The thing with women is we need not just penetration, we need stimulation as well.
“Men feel like it is two pumps and a squirt and it is done!”
Lauren jokes: “I have to agree with Natasha. We need to be stroked and stroked till we come – like a dog!”
Sex therapist Van Der Velde then explained to the group how they can awaken their sexual energy and they did several exercises to improve their orgasms.
While shaking their hands and wiggling their hips, the group were told to grip their ‘jewel’ (vagina) over their clothing by Van Der Velde.
Van Der Velde explains: “To awaken the senses we are going to have one person in a blindfold and the other person is going to stimulate them. Everyone should have more pleasure in life. Are we all agreed?”
Lauren feels confident enough to open up about the best orgasm she ever had, during a weekend of Tantric sex with a partner.
She says: “To me, the best orgasm I have ever had is when he didn’t touch me, he didn’t even kiss me.
“It took all weekend. I came – f****** hell – I came like a lunatic and he hadn’t even done anything.
“He looked in my eyes and said, ‘Now I will kiss you’ and I thought, ‘You f****** b******’. That is a true story.”
Rachel Lugo replies: “If anyone else came out with that story I would think they are lying, but with our Lauren, the little nymph, I can believe that.”
Lauren is full of praise for the sex retreat, saying: “It shows that human nature needs touch.
“The girls feel like this is a safe space to be honest and open and I am loving their responses.
“I have really enjoyed myself. There is nothing better than an orgasm to bring everyone together!”
Seema Malhotra agrees and jokes: “I have loved this wild women retreat. I would definitely come again – literally!”
The sex retreat ends with Natasha finally revealing to all the girls that she is pregnant with her fifth child.
While fans were aware of her pregnancy, she had kept some of her co-stars guessing on the show, and explained: “I have been holding it in for weeks.”
This will be Natasha’s first child with husband, businessman Charles Gray, who she wed in a stunning Lake Como ceremony two years ago following a five-year engagement. She has four other children with previous partners, including Ritchie Neville from the boyband Five.
Van Der Velde said she really enjoyed working on the Real Housewives of Cheshire and she hopes to return to the ITVBe show in the future.
She said: “The girls were all lovely and I was able to explain in more detail off camera about how energy can play a massive part in sexual awakening.
“I got the girls to grasp their jewels because I was sending that love back to the erogenous zones.
“They loved wearing the blindfolds which are a great way to awaken the senses.”

Scarlett Moffatt can ‘conquer the world’ after taking part in Scared of the Dark: ‘I feel different’

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt feels she can “conquer the world” after taking part in ‘Scared of the Dark’.
The ex ‘Gogglebox’ star enthused about her time on the Danny Dyer-fronted Channel 4 reality series, which sees celebrities living in a pitch-black bunker for eight days.
The 32-year-old TV personality told OK! magazine: “I feel like a different human being. I feel like I can conquer the world now. I’ve never actually sat down and thought about how privileged I am to have sight.
“I have so much respect for anybody who has lost their sight or is partially sighted because you don’t realise how much you rely on it.”
Scarlett confessed she and the rest of the contestants – which included legendary footballer Paul Gascoigne, The Wanted singer Max George, and former ‘Love Island’ star Chloe Burrows – coped because they “all had each other”.
She said: “We weren’t expecting to get as much out of it as we did in the friendships that we’ve made. I’m not saying that it was all easy or plain sailing, but we all had each other.”
The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ winner labelled the quiet moments “the scariest” while filming.
Scarlett said: “What was the scariest is if there was ever a moment of silence.
“That’s why we all got on so much because we just did not stop speaking because it feels extra lonely when you’re in the dark, when there’s nothing to see.”
Scarlett got through the show by taking responsibility that she had signed up for a “bonkers” programme.
She said: “If you sign yourself up for something that crazy, you have to accept responsibility that you signed up for something that is a bit bonkers.
“Even though it was the weirdest holiday I’ve ever had, it sort of was like a holiday friendship.”

Simon Cowell admits Britain’s Got Talent contestants ‘don’t need to win anymore’ for success

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell admits ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ contestants “don’t need to win anymore” to make it big.
The 63-year-old music mogul agreed that victory on the ITV1 talent show – which includes a £250,000 cash prize and a chance to perform at the Royal Variety – is not the only way the programme can “change lives”.
Simon told the Daily Star newspaper: “’I would say that now your first audition is so important because of what happens virtually.
“Even just that single audition can make a massive difference to your life.
“You don’t need to win to change your career.”
Simon divulged he didn’t “know” if was still the villain of the show’s judging panel, which also features Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and newcomer Bruno Tonioli.
He said: “I don’t know, I think we all have different opinions.
“I don’t really think about it too much. You have to take each act individually. Rather than just thinking, ‘I’m just going to be tough or whatever,’ because everybody’s different. I think it’s only fair to be honest. I really, really do.”
Simon’s co-star Bruno – who joined the panel as a replacement for David Walliams – teased there were some moments that “will break your heart” when the show returns on Saturday (15.04.23), and also admitted he was shocked by how funny some of the comedian contestants were.
The 67-year-old dancer told the Radio Times magazine: “I can’t give away too much, but there is some stuff that will break your heart.
“And some very, very funny comedians – I was surprised.”

Take Me Out The Gossip presenter Laura Jackson gives birth to 3rd child

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Take Me Out: The Gossip’ presenter Laura Jackson has given birth.
The ‘Ready or Not’ star revealed she and her husband Jonathan Gorrigan are now a “party of five” after they welcomed their third child into the world, a son named Nico.
The 36-year-old television personality wrote on Instagram: “Nico Sunny Gorrigan.
“A different, special and very wonderful kind of Easter.
“A birthing pool entrance, surrounded by our condiments in the kitchen at home – we finally said hello to the latest member of our family. After an emotional and challenging pregnancy – I feel on cloud nine, totally overjoyed that he is finally here!”
Laura acknowledged the rarity of the moment and the ability to have “a real pause”.
She continued: “It’s not often that life takes a real pause, so we are savouring these truly special moments and toasting the new arrival the only way I know how – bottomless margs.”
The pair – who also has four-year-old daughter Sidney and two-year-old son Remy – were quickly congratulated by many famous faces, such as former ‘Love Island’ host Laura Whitmore.
The 37-year-old television presenter commented: “Congrats you superstar!”
‘Our Girl’ star Michelle Keegan posted: “Congratulations lovely, just beautiful”
‘This Morning’ presenter Holly Willoughby commented: “Aww congratulations… beautiful family and well done you… you did it!!! Super woman! Hugest love (sic)”
Laura announced she was expecting again back in February, and admitted she was keen to keep this time in her life “private”.
She wrote in an Instagram post: “I’ve always chosen to keep my pregnancies private for as long as possible. Worrying I will get overlooked for work and that it will affect people’s perceptions of my capabilities.
“We have definitely moved the dial a lot in terms of rights, but I think pregnancy shame is a real thing and women are still, sadly, subconsciously (and consciously) discounted from opportunities because of a bump.
“I feel conscious of an announcement trigging others: conceiving can also take a variety of paths – and I always want to try and be as sensitive as possible to friends and my community who are navigating their own fertility journey…or choosing not to navigate it at all. (sic)”
The ‘Big Brother’s Little Brother’ star labelled the previous eight months the “most emotional time”, admitting she hadn’t been feeling herself, because she was dealing with “exhaustion, zero energy, crazy hormones, feeling so incredibly lonely in this journey, tears, sickness (leading to hospitalisation), feeling like I’ve lost my personality, I mean, the list could go on (sic)”.
Laura quipped: “I wish I could have felt more Rihanna at the super bowl, but sadly not so (sic)”, in a nod to the ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker’s own pregnancy announcement.

Bella Ramsey and Jodie Whittaker join BBC prison drama Time

OHMYGOSSIP — Bella Ramsey, Jodie Whittaker, Tamara Lawrance and Siobhan Finneran are to star in the new series of ‘Time’.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ star feels “honoured” to be playing prison inmate Kelsey in the second series of Jimmy McGovern’s BBC hit drama, following a “stellar” first series, which starred Sean Bean and Stephen Graham.
She said: “I’m very happy to be a part of this project, working with an incredible team and following on from a stellar first season.
“And it’s such an honour to be Kelsey, I’m really excited to experience the world through her for a few months.”
Series creator Jimmy said: “This is the best cast I have ever seen assembled for any drama of mine.
“The best crew, too. I am so, so looking forward to it.”
The three-part series will portray life inside the fictional women’s prison Carlingford, where Kelsey, Orla (Jodie) and Abi (Tamara) are thrown together when they arrive at the jail on the same day.
Jodie said: “‘Time’ was such an incredible and powerful show created by an extraordinary team, and being a part of this project in its second iteration is an absolute dream.”
Tamara added: “Being a part of women-centred stories and productions is very important to me, as well as projects that challenge a prejudice.
“‘Time’ series two humanises a sector of society that is too often and easily vilified by elucidating the layered reasons why people end up in the criminal (in)justice system.
“I’m excited for us to platform the complexity of these characters and their experiences.”
‘Happy Valley’ star Siobhan will reprise her role as series one prison chaplain Marie-Louise.
Siobhan added: “I am delighted to be returning for ‘Time’ two.
“It was a privilege to be involved in the first series and to be asked back is an honour, the scripts are again heartbreakingly brilliant.”
Filming for ‘Time’ series two will take place in and around Liverpool soon.

Bruno Tonioli hit the Golden Buzzer ‘at the wrong time’ on his first day on Britain’s Got Talent

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruno Tonioli hit the Golden Buzzer “at the wrong time” on his first day on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
The ex ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge – who replaced David Walliams on the judging panel, which also includes Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell – has admitted he got “caught up in the moment” and forgot everything his new co-stars taught him, after admitting to not watching the show.
The 67-year-old television personality said: “I told Simon, I never watched the show before. But I never watch anything I’m in, I never even watched ‘Strictly’ or ‘Dancing With the Stars’.
“I want to feel free to give it my own personal spin, not copy what someone before me has done, if that makes sense.
“Alesha gave me a brief, but then I forgot everything she told me! I think that was obvious when I pressed my Golden Buzzer at the wrong time on the first day!
“They were like, ‘Here are the rules, you press it then, not then,’ but that went out the window. I honestly got caught up in the moment, forgot everything I’d been told and just reacted instinctively.”
Bruno admitted the blunder was well received by 63-year-old music mogul Simon.
He said: “I looked up, Simon was in stitches, Alesha looked shocked! But that really happened. I mean, it wasn’t planned. I honestly had no idea I’d do that in the moment.
“Anyway, Simon tells the crowd there’s no rules, to forget what they’ve been told and act badly behaved, so I listened! Come on, he’s the boss!”
The ex ‘Dancing With the Stars’ judge spilled how he “lost his voice” trying to live up to his showbiz reputation on the programme.
Bruno said: “When you’re on screen you can’t sit there looking bored. You have to give the viewers a show, you have to entertain them.
“So I crank up my delivery and become a larger-than-life persona. I draw on my years of experience working with the likes of Elton.
“The energy comes automatically during filming but then I’m dead, absolutely dead. I lost my voice at the end of the first day on ‘BGT’ because I didn’t pace myself.”

EastEnders to mark King Charles’ Coronation with special episode

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ will mark King Charles’ Coronation with a special episode.
The BBC One soap will have a Coronation-themed street party in Albert Square on May 1st, as the Walford residents come together to celebrate the spectacle.
The BBC said: “Viewers can expect to see the community spirit of Walford at an all-time high as the residents attempt to leave their drama at the door, but whether the day will go ahead without a hitch is yet to be revealed.”
Earlier on Monday May 1st, ‘The One Show’ will kick off the BBC’s Coronation week coverage with a one-hour special.
Elsewhere, there will be ‘Antiques Roadshow’ and ‘Songs of Praise’ Coronation specials, as well as ‘Sing For The King: The Search for the Coronation Choir’.
The king and Queen Consort Camilla are no strangers to Albert Square.
Last year, the BBC soap revealed Charles and Camilla – who were then the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, prior to Charles’ mother Queen Elizabeth’s death in September aged 96 – had filmed an ‘EastEnders’ cameo ahead of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.
Danny Dyer – who played Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter at the time – told the London Evening Standard newspaper: “They were really good, they pulled it out of the bag.
“We had 20 minutes with them. We rehearsed it, they got out of the motor, we did it and then they left.”
Following the queen’s death, ‘EastEnders’ paid tribute to the late monarch with a special scene.
Before the usual titles had run, the BBC Soap began with soap matriarchs Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Kathy Beale (Gillian Wright) standing around a picture of the late monarch, who died aged 96 last Thursday (08.09.22), in The Queen Victoria pub.
Denise said: “She has been there our whole lives, it’s like she’s everything we have ever known.”
Kathy added: “It just feels so personal, just devastating, it’s like we have lost our nan.”
Linda – who is a huge fan of the royal family – said: “We have … we have all lost our nan. She dedicated her entire life to serving us.”
The trio also discussed last year’s visit to Albert Square by Charles and Camilla.
They all toasted the new king, saying: “Long live the king.”

Russell Crowe ‘jealous’ of Gladiator sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Russell Crowe is “slightly jealous” of the ‘Gladiator’ sequel.
The 59-year-old actor has confirmed that he is not involved in Sir Ridley Scott’s follow-up to the 2000 historical epic and feels a sense of envy as the movie has an enduring appeal.
Russell told Collider: “I mean, look, the only thing that I really feel about it is slightly jealous, you know? Because I was a much younger man, obviously, and it was a huge experience in my life.
“It’s something that changes my life, really. It changed the way people regarded me and what I do for a living, and, you know, I’ve been very lucky to be involved in lots of big movies, but the legs on that film are incredible.”
The ‘L.A. Confidential’ star continued: “Here it is, it’s 2023, and we made that film in 1999. I guarantee you, somewhere around the world tonight, ‘Gladiator’ is going to be showing on primetime TV. And you don’t always get that kind of longevity with every film you do, so, it obviously holds a special place in my heart.”
Crowe won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Roman General Maximus Decimus Meridius and confirmed last month that the crew had not been in touch about the long-awaited sequel – which is set to feature Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan and Denzel Washington and is slated for release in November 2024.
Russell told RTE Radio One’s ‘The Ryan Tubridy Show’: “I’m sure at some point in time they’ll want to ask me about something, but they haven’t brought anything up in a while.
“It’s an extension of the narrative, but it is long beyond Maximus’ passing, so it doesn’t really involve me at all.”

Kathleen Kennedy: New Star Wars movies are far along in development

OHMYGOSSIP — Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed that the newly-announced ‘Star Wars’ films are “pretty far along” in development.
Three new live-action movies in the sci-fi franchise were announced at ‘Star Wars Celebration’ in London and the Lucasfilm president has revealed that the new pictures from directors Dave Filoni, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and James Mangold have been in the works for some time.
Kathleen told IGN: “We’re pretty far along. These are things, as you can imagine, certainly looking at what Dave’s been doing with Ahsoka, that’ll be at least six, seven years building to what it is we’re going to be doing in a movie.
“As far as Sharmeen, we’ve been working on that for a couple of years already. And with what Jim’s doing, Jim and I, because we had the benefit of doing ‘Indiana Jones’ together, there was a lot of discussion about what the story is.
“What’s great about Jim, is he’s a writer-director, much like David is, so he can move that along at a pretty fast pace. So everything’s kind of moving along. We may have a really nice situation where we have all of these things ready to go, and we can take our time figuring out when we make them.”
Taika Waititi is working on a standalone film in the ‘Star Wars’ universe and Kennedy confirmed that she is leaving the ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ director to his own devices.
She told Variety: “Taika is still working away. He’s writing the script himself. He doesn’t really want to bring others into that process and I don’t blame him. He has a very, very unique voice. So we want to protect that and that’s what he’s doing. But we’re going to make that one day.”

I’ve not baked in years, says Judi Love

OHMYGOSSIP — Judi Love hasn’t baked a cake in five years.
The 42-year-old TV star is set to appear on ‘Celebrity Bake Off’ – but Judi admits she’s “definitely not a baker”.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: “I’ve made the odd sponge cake. The last time I baked one was about five years ago. I’m definitely not a baker.”
Judi will compete on the show against the likes of Deborah Meaden, comedian Mike Wozniak and TV presenter Jay Blades.
And although she’s not an accomplished baker, Judi admits to being very competitive.
She said: “I am definitely competitive, but more so against myself.”
Judi is best known for her appearances on ‘Loose Women’, and the TV star recently denied rumours of a rift with her co-stars.
Judi claimed that the panellists are supportive of each other off-screen, despite their on-screen disagreements.
The comedian – who previously competed on ‘MasterChef’ – said: “Look, I’m working with 20 women who all have expertise in different areas – journalism, news reporting, acting – they are forces to be reckoned with.
“I find that anything I need advice in, anything – I’m talking buying houses, all kind of different stuff – I can just go to any one of them and they’ve got some understanding and can educate me on things.
“I think it’s great. They’ve added to it, and now they’ve got a comedian in the pool, I love it, what better job than to go in, have a chit-chat with the girls, get your make-up on.
“There’s a real sisterhood between us and I love it. I love that we can explore different topics and have our own opinions and that’s OK.”

Shirley Ballas offered ‘take it or leave it’ deal to stay on Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley Ballas has reportedly been offered a “take it or leave it” deal to stay on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 62-year-old former Latin champion – who took over as a judge from Len Goodman in 2017 – previously sparked speculation she’s leaving the TV talent series because she’s sick of being trolled but recently revealed her team has been in negotiations with BBC bosses – and now The Sun newspaper reports she’s been offered a new contract.
An insider told the publication: “The team on the show care very deeply about Shirley’s wellbeing and will continue to do whatever they can to alleviate the effects of what’s said on social media.
“But they are also very conscious that we are in the midst of a cost of living crisis and a licence fee freeze and it’s against this whole backdrop that the deal has been put to Shirley.
“Nobody wants her to walk, but Strictly has proved throughout its history that no one is bigger than the show.”
It comes after Shirley’s appearance on ITV’s ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ last weekend, when she said of her ‘Strictly’ status: “Well … I do believe it’s in the process. Is that the right way to say it? Yes.. their people are talking to my people.”
Shirley reached an “all-time low” last year because the online abuse she received over her decisions on the programme left her “crying and emotional”.
She told the Sunday Mirror newspaper last month: “Last year I was struggling. It wasn’t just a little bit, it was a lot – the majority of it was in silence. “I felt the abuse snowballed out of control and impacted me in such a negative way.
