Helen Sketon ‘in talks’ to replace Rylan on Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Skelton is “in talks” to replace Rylan Clark on ‘Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two.’
The 39-year-old presenter reached the final of the BBC Latin and ballroom competition last year and is now reportedly negotiating a deal that would see her replace former ‘X Factor star Rylan, 34, as the host of its spin-off show just days after he announced he was quitting.
A source told The Daily Mirror newspaper: “Not only is Helen a very experienced and popular presenter, she captured Strictly fans last year with her warmth and charisma. She was also a hit with the team, from the top bosses to the make-up teams, production and the crew. The pro dancers all know her and as a former contestant, she knows what the celebrities are going through. It seems like she could be a perfect fit for us.”
Earlier this week, Rylan – who has co-hosted the show alongside Zoe Ball and Janette Manrara – explained that the “time had come” for him to pass his hosting duties onto someone else but thanked his “family” at the BBC for welcoming him onto the series.
He wrote on Instagram: “After four fantastic years it’s time for me to hang up my glittery jacket and say goodbye to It Takes Two. I’ve had the best time hosting the show alongside Janette and Zoe and I can’t thank the amazing team enough for always putting on a great show. “I’ve been welcomed into the Strictly family and will firmly hold that
title dear to me. “The time has come for me to pass on the baton to someone else and explore what else life has for me. “Thank you Strictly, you will have my heart and dancing feet. (sic)”
Rylan split from his husband Dan Neal last year, and he previously admitted that his life was “s***” in the aftermath of their break-up.

‘No virtue police!’ Why Mia Hansen-Love doesn’t like to use intimacy co-ordinators for sex scenes

OHMYGOSSIP — Mia Hansen-Love would rather not put a sex scene into a film if it meant using an intimacy co-ordinator.
The 42-year-old director was asked directly whether she uses an intimacy co-ordinator on set and revealed that she would rather not have the “virtue police” with her during production of her movie even though she can understand why some actors might prefer it.
She told The Guardian: “No, I don’t. As long as I’m not forced to, I won’t use them. I don’t think I need it. I’m extremely sensitive and pay lots of attention to the respect that the actors need to have for one another. I’ve never had any kind of problem. I’ve never forced any actor to do anything. Everything is discussed and happens in a very smooth way. So for me, intimacy coordinators aren’t necessary. If I was forced to have some kind of virtue police on set, I’d rather not film those scenes. I understand why some people might feel reassured, but it’s very far from the experience of my own film sets.”
The acclaimed moviemaker has most recently helmed drama film ‘One Fine Morning’ – which follows a young girl taking care of her gravely ill father – and went on to remember her own late dad as being “very encouraging” of her own work.
She added: “He never got to see it and I cannot speak for him, but I can say that he was always very encouraging of my work. Very proud, I think. My father was a philosophy teacher but I always thought he should have been a writer. He had high standards, both morally and culturally. One thing he taught was the importance of clarity. As a film-maker, I’m always looking for clarity in my style. That really mattered to him and it’s partly what made his disease so tragic, because Benson’s syndrome destroys clarity of mind.”

Brenda Edwards will ‘never get over’ losing son Jamal

OHMYGOSSIP — Brenda Edwards will “never get over” the death of her son.
The 54-year-old star was mother to entrepreneur Jamal – who helped launch the careers of Ed Sheeran and Jessie J with his urban music platform SB.TV. – and following his death in February 2022 at the age of 31 after suffering a heart attack, has explained that she still wants to know exactly what his death was for, especially after she lost her own parents when she was a child.
She told The Sun newspaper’s Fabulous magazine: “It’s not anger, it’s more the question of why. I wish I knew why. It’s been 48 years since my parents passed and I’m still not over that. “I still cry every single Christmas and so losing Jamal is definitely not going to disappear. But I have to try to learn to live with it. Somehow. And one way that really does help me is by doing things that are positive and can help other people.”
“When I got Jamal his first video camera at 15, he used to film foxes in the garden and put them up on YouTube. Just recently there was a little fox who came to play with me. I’ve never seen a fox that close, but it came up as if it was one of my cats. His eyes were so cute, so big, so sweet and he was listening to me when I was speaking. Then I said his name. I said: ‘Jamal . . . ’ and that’s when the fox got up and walked away. So I had acknowledged that he was there and I will continue to do that. I talk to him every single day but it’s always bittersweet because I’m never going to get over this.”
The ‘Loose Women’ panellist – who also has daughter Tanesha – went on to add that even though she knew her son was a successful businessman, she “never realised” quite how busy he was and takes comfort in speaking to those who knew him.
She added: “I mean, I knew he was busy, he had three phones, so I knew that! But I didn’t realise quite how busy he was. I’ve spoken to so many people who have said that whenever they were feeling low, Jamal would cheer them up. I’ve had messages from people saying they were close to ending their life, but Jamal had talked them down. That was really moving for me to hear!”

Dove Cameron auditioned for Wicked

OHMYGOSSIP — Dove Cameron auditioned for the role of Glinda in ‘Wicked.’
The 27-year-old actress revealed that she tried out for the part of the good witch in the upcoming two-part movie adaptation of the smash hit Broadway musical – which tells the backstory of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ – but remarked that successful auditionee Ariana Grande is a “dear friend” of hers and thinks she will “kill it” in the role.
She told The Wrap: “I definitely went out for it. I know that for everybody who did go out for it, it was a very long process. It was one of the longer processes I’ve been a part of. Ariana’s a genuinely dear friend of mine. We met when we were super young. I think she’s gonna kill it.”
The former ‘Liv and Maddie’ star went on to hail the rest of the cast – which features Cynthia Erivo as misunderstood green girl Elphaba as well as Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh as evil professor Madame Morrible – as “phenomenal” and excited she is “really excited” to see the film when it is released in November 2024.
She added: “I think the whole cast is phenomenal, head to toe. So, as a fan, I’m really, really excited to see it.”
When the show opened on Broadway in 2003, the role of Glinda was originated by Dove’s ‘Schmigadoon’ co-star Kristin Chenoweth and she went on to describe the Tony Award-winning songstress as an “idol” of hers.
She said: “I just idolized her from such a young age.”
When the movie was being cast in 2019, Dove explained that even though she had been “dreaming” of playing Glinda since she was a little girl, she believed that “not everyone” would have wanted her in the role.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I don’t think everyone wants me to be Glinda but, I mean, it’s like the role of a lifetime. I’ve been dreaming of it since I was, like, seven. I mean, I should be so lucky to be considered.”

Top Gun: Maverick actor Glen Powell joins Twister sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ actor Glen Powell is in talks to join the ‘Twister’ sequel.
The 34-year-old actor is to star alongside ‘Normal People’ star Daisy Edgar-Jones in the follow-up to the 1996 disaster epic, which is titled ‘Twisters’, Deadline reports.
While their roles are not known at this time, however, it was previously revealed by The Hollywood Reporter that: “Edgar-Jones will star in the project as a former storm chaser who, after surviving a disastrous tornado encounter, now works a desk job. However, she will soon be forced to, you guessed it, go out into the breach once more.”
Not thought to be a direct sequel, the flick is set to be directed by ‘Minari’s Lee Isaac Chung. The script comes from ‘The Revenant’s Mark L. Smith.
The original blockbuster starred Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton in the lead roles. It was helmed by ‘Speed’ director Jan De Bont and executive produced by Steven Spielberg.
Daisy, 24, previously starred as Kya Clark from North Carolina in the movie ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ and the director Olivia Newman revealed that she hired a movement coach to “shed her Britishness” for the film.
The filmmaker said: “Daisy can very easily drop into that very vulnerable, sensitive, shy place but then she also has this incredible grit and resilience that catches you off-guard.
“[She requested a movement coach] to help her shed her Britishness and get into that Southern marsh girl way of being.”
The film’s producer Elizabeth Gabler revealed that she and Hello Sunshine colleague Reese Witherspoon had considered a number of stars for the role but opted for Daisy after her performance in ‘Normal People’.
She said: “We’d been watching the show and were like, ‘Let’s go to Daisy Edgar-Jones right now.’
“We sent her the script on a Thursday and she auditioned on the Sunday, by which time she’d already perfected the accent.
“Daisy brought us all to our knees in her audition, she blew us away.

Dame Joanna Lumley joins Sky News for King Charles’ coronation

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Joanna Lumley is set to be an anchor for Sky News’ coverage of King Charles’ coronation.
The 76-year-old actress provided commentary for Sky News’ coverage of Queen Elizabeth’s Jubilee celebrations last year, and she’s now rejoining the news channel for its coverage of the coronation, which takes place in London on May 6.
Joanna will be joined on-screen by Alastair Bruce, the royal events commentator, and presenters Kay Burley and Anna Botting.
John Ryley, the head of Sky News, said in a statement: “Whether unifying or polarising, the spectacle of the King’s coronation is guaranteed to capture the world’s attention.
“With the ceremonial events never seen in this great a clarity, Sky News will offer audiences the highest quality Ultra HD coverage with the best royal commentator in Alastair Bruce.
“He’ll take viewers through this historical moment with his unmatched knowledge and skill to get the tone just right.”
Meanwhile, Joanna previously revealed that she avoided watching ‘The Crown’ because of her links to the royals.
The veteran actress explained that she felt uncomfortable about watching the award-winning Netflix series, which centres on different periods of royal history.
Joanna told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Suddenly, it began to get closer and closer, and they had people acting as Prince Charles, as Camilla Parker Bowles, as Princess Anne. I know them all.
“I know that’s not how they speak or what they said or did. People say, ‘Oh, well, everybody knows that it’s made up.’ People don’t, people think it’s the truth.
“So I decided not to watch it anymore because I have some loyalty, as one would to anybody they know and like and are lucky enough to be friendly with. It’s rather ghastly.”

Inbetweeners fans used to shout at James Buckley and his wife

OHMYGOSSIP — James Buckley’s wife Clair Meek says ‘The Inbetweeners’ fans would “shout” at them when they first got together.
The ‘Vendetta’ star has revealed that fans of the E4 coming-of-age sitcom – which also starred Simon Bird, Joe Thomas and Blake Harrison – and the 35-year-old actor’s alter-ego Jay Cartwright “took a while” to get used to them being together and would yell his famous crude catchphrases at them.
The 34-year-old actress told The Sun newspaper: “Back in the day people would shout some of the crazier things, which took a while to get used to but it was good fun and always a laugh.
“When we had only been dating for a few months, we were in a shopping centre and this big group of elderly people, sixties or seventies, came up to James.
“They told him how much they loved ‘The Inbetweeners’, I couldn’t believe the age range of fans from 15-year-olds to guys in their seventies.”
Clair detailed how she and James – who tied the knot in 2012 – get “approached” in every day locations like the supermarket and how much James “really enjoys” the video recording website Cameo after he became the first UK talent to earn £1 million on the service.
She said: “We get approached in normal places like the Asda car park, while walking down the street or at LegoLand but people are respectful, I’ve had to learn to take good pictures for people.
“James really enjoys the Cameo requests too, the most common ones are for weddings but he’s done a few proposals as well, which is hilarious to me, I don’t know if they said yes.”
The ‘Monster’ star – who has sons Harrison and Jude with her ‘At Home with the Buckley’s co-YouTuber – admitted to never watching the show that made him famous before they met.
She said: “I knew of the show and what it was but I didn’t tune in. I didn’t watch it, which might have been a good thing.
“I did watch a couple of episodes after we met but to this day I don’t think I’ve seen every single episode. James and Jay are nothing alike thank God.”

The movie – development of which was made public in 2021 – will be helmed by Malcolm Washington and includes an adapted script by Virgil Williams, who based it on the piece of theatre that after 27 previews and 124 performances became one of the highest-earning revivals at the time.

John David, who played his role on the latest run of the play on Broadway has insisted his father’s opinion of his acting doesn’t cross his mind when he’s onstage.
He said: “Am I nervous when [my father is] watching me on stage? I don’t know yet. Maybe. I might not even be thinking about it because I’m thinking about the notes from my director. I don’t know if I have time to be nervous about what he thinks.”

Maya Jama’s presence ‘is a real boost for Love Island’

OHMYGOSSIP — Maya Jama has given ‘Love Island’ “a real boost”.
The 28-year-old star has replaced Laura Whitmore as the show’s host, and ‘Love Island’s ratings are expected to “soar” when it returns over the summer.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Maya is chomping at the bit to get to work on this series too. Having her on board has given ‘Love Island’ a real boost and it’s expected that ratings will soar.”
‘Love Island’ will reportedly return on June 5 and the islanders will head out to Majorca in May.
The insider shared: “‘Love Island’ will start on June 5, just as people are getting ready to enjoy their summers.
“ITV have already lined up the islanders who will be heading to the show’s villa in Majorca.
“The cast will fly out late next month ready for the show to begin in just eight weeks.
“It is hugely exciting and those working on the show cannot wait to get started.
“This series will be eight weeks long, meaning the couple who win the show will be in the villa for two months.”
Maya is a long-time fan of the show, and she previously revealed that she was looking forward to hosting the programme.
Speaking before she hosted the winter series, Maya said: “I’ve always been such a massive ‘Love Island ‘fan and I’m so excited to be hosting one of the nation’s favourite shows! I can’t wait to get into the villa to meet all of the islanders.”
Paul Mortimer, ITV’s director of reality programming and acquisitions, also hailed Maya as “cool, charming and charismatic”.
He said: “Finding a new host to follow the wonderful Laura Whitmore was never going to be easy. In Maya Jama though, we have another high-profile fan of the show who’ll be a great addition to the ‘Love Island’ family.
“Cool, charming and charismatic, I speak for us all when I say Maya will also bring a unique presenting style to the show, as did Laura and, of course, the very much missed Caroline Flack. We’re very pleased to have her on board.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark has quit as the host of ‘Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two’.
The 34-year-old star has taken to social media to announce that he’s quitting the role after four years.
Rylan – who has co-hosted the show alongside Zoe Ball and Janette Manrara – wrote on Instagram: “After four fantastic years it’s time for me to hang up my glittery jacket and say goodbye to It Takes Two.
“I’ve had the best time hosting the show alongside Janette and Zoe and I can’t thank the amazing team enough for always putting on a great show.
“I’ve been welcomed into the Strictly family and will firmly hold that title dear to me.
The TV star also revealed that he lost weight as he struggled to come to terms with their split.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I got ill and I lost weight, I went down to under ten stone – and I’m six feet four inches, so that’s not good.
“The honest truth is that it’s been s***.
“I didn’t deal with what happened and now I am. I felt unwell and it was a very difficult time for me.”
Rylan turned to his mother Linda for support amid the break-up.
He said: “My mum was majorly worried about me, as were all my family.
“I don’t just disappear for four months – that doesn’t just happen.

“I needed to get back to me.”

Elon Musk pledges to change BBC’s Twitter label

OHMYGOSSIP — Elon Musk plans to change the BBC’s Twitter label of “government-funded media”.
The broadcaster recently objected to the label, and Musk has now promised to change the description, insisting that he has the “utmost respect” for the organisation.
Musk, 51 – who acquired Twitter for $44 billion in 2022 – told the BBC: “We want [the tag] as truthful and accurate as possible. We’re adjusting the label to [the BBC being] publicly funded, which I think is perhaps not too objectionable.”
The Tesla CEO also admitted to making other mistakes since he bought the micro-blogging platform.
Speaking about the overall health of the company, Musk shared: “I feel like we’re headed to a good place. We’re roughly break-even, I think we’re trending towards being cashflow positive very soon, literally in a matter of months. The advertisers are returning.”
Earlier this month, the BBC contacted the social media giant over its description of its official Twitter account.
The BBC asked for the issue to be resolved “as soon as possible”.
The broadcaster said: “The BBC is, and always has been, independent. We are funded by the British public through the licence fee.”
The BBC issued the statement shortly after the broadcaster resolved a high-profile row with Gary Lineker over his social media comments.
The former England soccer star returned to his presenting duties following a disagreement with the broadcaster over impartiality, after he tweeted criticism of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s policy on refugees.
Gary, 62, was initially stood down from hosting ‘Match of the Day’, which prompted a mass walk-out of BBC pundits and presenters.
BBC director-general Tim Davie subsequently issued an apology and confirmed that an independent review had been launched to examine the corporation’s guidelines around social media use.

Ari Aster begged Joaquin Phoenix to join Beau Is Afraid cast

OHMYGOSSIP — Ari Aster spent six months begging Joaquin Phoenix to star in ‘Beau Is Afraid’.
The 36-year-old filmmaker has helmed the surrealist horror film and was desperate to cast the Oscar-winning actor in his movie.
Discussing his first meeting with Phoenix, Ari told Variety at the movie’s Los Angeles premiere on Monday (10.04.23): “You get on your hands and knees and beg. He’s the best. He’s the greatest. He’s the prince. And those eyes. He could be so naked, so exposed, and he’s funny. He’s a funny guy.”
The director continued: “It’s when I first saw ‘I’m Still Here’ that I knew I needed to work with this guy.
“One, it’s such a funny film, and two, that performance is really a brilliant comic performance. But it’s also a gesture that movie is suicidal. What he was doing with his own name there is so funny and crazy and sick. It’s like a sick thing to do. Since then, I’ve known I’ve wanted to work with him.”
‘Beau Is Afraid’ is the biggest budget Aster has had for a film and explained how he felt the “pressure” of making a movie that is different from his previous efforts.
The ‘Midsommar’ director told The Hollywood Reporter: “It’s so much pressure.
“Things weigh on you, like the money weighs on you, the clock weighs on you because the window of time is always closing. It can be very hard to stay in an open place where you don’t stop playing, so it was nice to build a system with Joaquin where we kept coming back to the work.
“Joaquin is so committed and so engaged that the (film) kept coming back to life, which isn’t to say that it was dead, but it stayed alive in a way that was very, very exciting. It was a challenge in the best way.”

I’m not in a rush to find love, says Christine McGuinness

OHMYGOSSIP — Christine McGuinness isn’t in a rush to find love after splitting from Paddy McGuinness.
The 35-year-old TV star finalised her divorce from Paddy, 49, last year, and Christine insists she’s currently focused on her children.
The blonde beauty – who has Felicity, seven, and nine-year-old twins Penelope and Leo with Paddy – told OK! magazine: “I was talking to my friends about it earlier and actual dating sounds awful anyway for anybody, but [especially] for an autistic person who doesn’t really like people.
“I don’t like new places, restaurants, and I’m very particular with food, so the last thing I would want to do is go on a date. I can’t even imagine it. I’ve never really dated.
“When I met Patrick, I met him casually and we built up a friendship before it got romantic, so something like that would probably suit me better. However, right now I’m focusing on the children and my work. Any free time I’ve got goes on myself because I’m exhausted.
“Dating doesn’t sound fun, and I’ve heard some horror stories, so I’m not planning on jumping in there.”
Christine and Paddy have continued living together since their break-up.
And Christine doesn’t have any immediate plans to change the situation.
She said: “It’s certainly not a long-term or forever plan.
“It works right now because we’re both so busy and we’re in and out of the home so we tend to swap days and we’ll share. It’s much like any parent really – juggling jobs and children.
“We definitely don’t want to upset them or change anything too quickly, and for me as well. I like slow changes, and we’re alright – we’re family. I’ve known Paddy for 15 years, so I don’t know life without him. It is what it is.”

James Mangold had reservations about directing the new Indiana Jones film

OHMYGOSSIP — James Mangold was “hesitant” about directing ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’.
The 59-year-old director is the first person other than Steven Spielberg to direct a movie in the franchise and admits that he had reservations about getting behind the camera on the new flick.
Speaking to IGN at Star Wars Celebration, James said: “Well, at first I was hesitant because of my admiration for Steven (Spielberg) and Harrison (Ford) and stepping in.
“But when they came to me, there was such a feeling that they were still open to what the story was going to be. And so I got the opportunity for a year to kind of really work with the Butterworth brothers, Jez and John-Henry, on what the story of this film was going to be.”
The ‘Logan’ director stressed that he didn’t want to make another ‘Indiana Jones’ movie purely for the sake of it.
He said: “And in some ways, the danger with sequels is really, do they just exist to make money or do they have something left to say? And that’s kind of the blunt question for me. Money is wonderful, but I’m not really interested in the creative act of just making a thing that’s here just to cash in on its name.”
It was recently confirmed that the ‘Indiana Jones’ franchise will end for good following the release of the fifth movie this summer – which will see Harrison Ford pick up Indy’s whip for the final time.
In a press release issued to confirm details of the new film, the ‘Dial of Destiny’ is described as “the highly anticipated final installment of the beloved franchise”.
Mangold added: “My legendary collaborators and I are very excited to share a brand new and final Indiana Jones adventure with you!”

Kiell Smith-Bynoe warns Ghosts fans ‘there will be tears’ viewing the final episodes

OHMYGOSSIP — Kiell Smith-Bynoe says filming the ending of ‘Ghosts’ was “really emotional” and “very sad”.
The BBC decided to wave goodbye to the inhabitants of Button House after five series to “focus on new projects”, and Kiell, who plays Mike Cooper, has revealed that although they don’t film in order, it was still a heartbreaking day for the cast.
He told RadioTimes.com: “We don’t film chronologically.
“So we didn’t film the last scene on the last day, for example – thankfully, or we would have all had breakdowns. But it was still really emotional and it was very sad.”
He warned viewers they will be laughing and crying.
Kiell added: “There were a lot of tears that day and there will be even more tears when you see the episodes, because it is sad. But, I mean, Ghosts does that incredibly well.
“It makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you think – and also think about how silly it is as well. I think this is probably one of the best shows for that.”
The actor recently revealed the cast found out two years ago that the show was ending.
He told the outlet: “We found out two years ago.
“So when we got series four and five commissioned by the BBC, [the writers] decided that those would be the last two.
“And then, even when we were doing [series] 4, it didn’t really feel like it was coming to an end soon because we knew that we had another whole year. [The shoot] feels like a whole year despite the fact it’s only 10 weeks.”
On filming the final series, he added: “And then, we started the fifth one and very quickly realised that it would be the last time doing things – in terms of, the last time seeing the plague victims and the last time wearing a certain outfit for the character.
“And then it was over in a flash. So despite the fact I said two years and it seems like it’s been a really long time that we’ve known, it’s gone by incredibly quickly.”
The ‘Ghosts’ team – which includes writers and creators Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond – confirmed in March: “After five incredible years haunting the halls of Button House, we have decided that the time is right to let our beloved sitcom Ghosts rest in peace.
“We have just wrapped filming on our fifth and final series and we can’t wait to share it with you all later this year.
“We could never have imagined the reception the show has enjoyed, or the fun we have had making it, and we would like to thank our amazing cast and crew as well as everyone at BBC Comedy, BBC1 and Monumental Television for their tireless support.
“But most of all we’d like to thank everyone who watches. Mathew, Martha, Simon, Jim, Laurence and Ben x.”
Lolly Adefope, Charlotte Ritchie also star in the beloved sitcom.
In the upcoming fifth series, Alison (Charlotte) and Mike (Kiell) begin exploring other means of making ends meet and contemplate a new chapter that could have a huge effect on the Ghosts’ afterlives.

‘Terrible’: Gemma Collins isn’t a fan of current TOWIE cast

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins thinks the current ‘Only Way Is Essex’ cast is “terrible”.
The 42-year-old blonde shot to fame when she appeared on the ITV2 reality show from its second series in 2011 but she thinks there are no longer any “stars” on the programme and it isn’t as entertaining as it used to be.
Gemma – who left ‘TOWIE’ in 2019 – moaned to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I watched it the other night and I’ll never get those minutes of my life back. What’s happened?
“There were about two scenes in it. Chloe Brockett was good, and the new girl Elma [Pazar] but the rest of them were terrible.
“There’s no stars there, darling – we were stars.”
And the ‘Diva Forever’ star insisted there is no chance of her returning to the programme because it is “toxic”.
She added: “Being in those toxic arguing environments… it’s a load of c***.”
Gemma recently insisted she’s keen to get away from Essex and has considered a move to Wales.
She told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: “I’ve totally outgrown Essex. It’s toxic.
“I really like it in Surrey, Sam Faiers lives there. I do love Wales and I would consider living there.”
The outspoken star also expressed her dream of representing the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Speaking before Mae Muller was announced as this year’s entry, she said: “I have Welsh in my blood – my nan was Welsh.
“All of the Welsh are good singers – Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey.
“I think I could represent us at the Eurovision Song Contest. I think I would be good they should get me.
“Katherine Jenkins is another one, and I think I’m just as good. It’s obviously a Welsh thing.”
