‘He wanted me to fart!’ Owen Warner gets weird messages since I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here

OHMYGOSSIP — Owen Warner “didn’t know what to think” when fans started messaging asking him to fart for them and send pictures of his feet.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ star detailed how one admirer offered him £50 for a “fart” but has opted to stop checking the stranger side of his inbox since competing on last year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here’ because once you get going you can lose “hours” getting lost in them.
The 23-year-old actor told the Daily Star newspaper: “I’ve had some very flirty messages. I’ve had people asking for pictures of my feet.
“I had one fan who asked me to fart for him for £50.
“I was surprised when I got the messages. I didn’t really know what to make of them.
“I don’t really check those kinds of messages now. I’m trying to stay away from that. If you start reading them, you end up doing it for two hours.
However despite this, Owen loves his increased profile since finishing as runner-up on the ITV1 star-studded survival show – which was eventually won by ex-Lioness captain Jill Scott – has given him and how people love to stop and have a chinwag with all his new “mates”.
He said: “I used to get recognised from ‘Hollyoaks’ so people only knew me as my character. But since I was on ‘I’m A Celebrity, they know me, which is amazing.
“They chat to me like as if they know me. I chat to people like they’re my best mate.
“The more mates, the better. I’ve been taken aback by all the love.”
Owen recently confirmed his relationship with Jemma Donovan, the 23-year-old daughter of Jason Donovan with an Instagram gallery of them looking loved up as they holidayed with his co-star on the Channel 4 soap and her family in Mallorca, including the ex ‘Neighbours’ icon, 54, which included a prank proposal.
He captioned the joke: “She’s still not forgiven me for that one.”

Scarlett Moffatt left ‘freaked out’ by Scared of the Dark appearance

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt was “freaked out” by her bunker on ‘Scared of the Dark’.
The former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here’ winner bonded with her former ‘Love Island’ star Chloe Burrows, 27, when they experienced the ghosts living in the former RAF base in Bedfordshire where they filmed the Danny Dyer-fronted Channel 4 show.
The 32-year-old TV star told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “Me and Chloe Burrows once thought we’d seen a couple of soldiers. We were like, ‘Did you see that?’ And she’s like, ‘The soldier? Yeah.’ And I was like, ‘That was weird.’
“They told us the place was haunted. It freaked me and Chloe out.”
Scarlett – who is currently expecting her first child with her boyfriend Scott Dobinson – recently admitted how the show made her into a “different human being”.
She told OK! magazine: “I feel like a different human being. I feel like I can conquer the world now. I’ve never actually sat down and thought about how privileged I am to have sight. I have so much respect for anybody who has lost sight or is partially sighted because you don’t realise how much you rely on it.”
The former ‘Gogglebox’ star gushed about the “friendships” forged with the rest of the cast that includes ex The Wanted star Max George and boxers Nicola Adams and Chris Eubank.
Scarlett said: “We weren’t expecting to get as much out of it as we did in the friendships that we’ve made. I’m not saying that it was all easy or plain sailing, but we all had each other.
“What was the scariest is if there was ever a moment of silence.
“That’s why we all got on so much because we just did not stop speaking because it feels extra lonely when you’re in the dark, when there’s nothing to see.”
“If you sign yourself up for something that crazy, you have to accept responsibility that you signed up for something that isa bit bonkers.
“Even though it was the weirdest holiday I’ve ever had, it sort of was like a holiday friendship.”
Scarlett also confessed “the hardest part” was not being too overfamillar with her fellow contestant and footballing legend Paul Gascoigne.
She said: “Everyone up north, if you support Newcastle United, you’ve got a story about Gazza or you’d know someone who has a story about Gazza, so that was actually the hardest part of that challenge – not going, ‘Gazza, it’s Scarlett!’”

David Lowery couldn’t resist the chance to direct Peter Pan and Wendy

OHMYGOSSIP — David Lowery couldn’t resist the chance to direct ‘Peter Pan and Wendy’.
The 42-year-old filmmaker is helming Disney’s new live-action take on J.M. Barrie’s ‘Peter Pan’ and confessed that he had worries about stepping behind the camera before succumbing to temptation.
In a new featurette for the movie, David said: “Peter Pan is one of the crown jewels of the Disney library. The idea of adapting it live-action was very daunting, but ultimately I decided it was too good an opportunity to pass up.”
Jude Law is starring in the film – which will be released later this month – as antagonist Captain Hook and David praised his “deliciously evil” take on the villainous pirate.
The director said: “I love how deliciously evil this Captain Hook is. And to watch Jude go toe to toe with Peter.
“This take has had such impact on people’s imagination. The iteration looks at why this feud between the two of them started.”
Lowery explained how every day on the movie, which also stars Alexander Molony and Ever Anderson as Peter Pan and Wendy Darling respectively, “was a joy” as the cast and crew brought the classic tale to life.
The ‘Pete’s Dragon’ director said: “Every day was a joy bringing this film to the screen. Our goal was to give the audience who love Peter Pan, to give them everything that they want, with all this adventure, all the action on a huge scale.”
Jude hailed the director for adding even more humanity to the much-loved story of the boy who wouldn’t grow up.
The 50-year-old star said: “It’s this incredible story that never ceases to amaze. What David’s done that’s remarkable is he’s made it more human, more possible.”

Tessa Thompson to star in Hedda

OHMYGOSSIP — Tessa Thompson will lead the cast of ‘Hedda’.
The 39-year-old actress is to play Hedda Gabler, a character considered to be one of the greatest dramatic roles in theatre history, in the new movie from director Nia DaCosta.
The film is billed as an epic reimagining of Henrik Ibsen’s 1891 stage play ‘Hedda Gabler’ and reunites Thompson and DaCosta after they worked together on the 2018 feature ‘Little Woods’.
The play dramatises the experiences of Hedda, the daughter of a general, who is trapped in a marriage and a house that she does not want. It was initially met with negative reviews but has since gone on to great acclaim.
Thompson is to produce the film via her own Viva Maude label with DaCosta and Gabrielle Nadig also working on the movie.
‘Hedda Gabler’ has been adapted for both the big and small screen in the past as Ingrid Bergman featured in a BBC television production in 1962 while Sir Trevor Nunn’s 1975 film version ‘Hedda’ earned Glenda Jackson an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of the character.
Tessa recently starred in the movie ‘Creed III’ and praised co-star Michael B. Jordan for the way he handled the challenge of directing the film and playing the role of titular boxer Adonis Creed.
The ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ star told IndieWire: “Even though he was taxed and stressed, and I know it because I know him so well and I could tell the days where things were tough for him, never would he take it out on anybody around him.
“He would take a breath and figure it out and go back in there and treat everyone with respect and ask people how their weekend was and be just a lovely, lovely leader.
“That, to me, is the mark of someone that can really do this because should be, at its best, a team sport, and that person is just the captain, but everyone is important on the team.”

Former Corrie star Alexandra Mardell was frightened it was going to snow on her wedding day

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexandra Mardell was frightened it was going to snow on her wedding day.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star tied the knot with her fiancee Joe Parker in Bolton Abbey in Skipton “luckily” on a clear day despite weather concerns the rest of the week.
The 29-year-old actress told OK! Magazine: “It was gorgeous – the scenery was stunning.
“The weather was great, considering it was snowing a few days before. We’d booked the wedding date two years prior because that weekend had been a heatwave for the past two years. And then on the week of our wedding, it was snowing! I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, what are we going to do?’ But luckily it was dry!”
‘The Family Pile’ star also spoke about how she and her husband were determined to keep the big day “private” by banning smartphones from the service.
She said: “We just wanted it to be private for friends and family. We asked politely for people not to use phones during the ceremony and to keep any pictures offline. Everyone said that they really enjoyed being present. It was just about us all being there on the day and it was lovely.
“There’s always that one auntie that tells everyone or posts it all over Facebook because they’re excited, but we just asked everyone to pass the word around and that if they didn’t mind, to wait until we’d posted pictures. Everyone has stood by that – and now we’re so excited to share them!”
The couple agreed to walk down the aisle during the covid lockdown in April 2021.
At the time, Alexandra wrote on Instagram: “Love locked down!!
“1000000 times yes! You make me so happy, my face hurts! Love you ridiculously. Future Mrs Parker.”
Joe wrote: “Went into lockdown with a girlfriend, came out with a fiancée.
“What a lucky man I am. Can’t wait to marry you @alexandramardell I love you.”
Alex detailed her surprise at her man getting down at one knee as she gave an insight into what happened.
She told OK! magazine: “We’d finished dinner and were dancing to some Italian music. We started talking about how we’ve been really lucky in lockdown to have had such a nice time together when Joe disappeared.
“When he came back he told me to leave the pans and asked me to dance again. Next thing I know he was down on one knee.”

‘It’s lovely to be back!’ Phillip Schofield returns to This Morning after brother’s sex conviction

OHMYGOSSIP — Phillip Schofield “missed” being on ‘This Morning’ after taking an extended break amid his brother’s child sex abuse trial.
The 61-year-old presenter has fronted the ITV1 daytime show for 20 years but has been off screens in recent weeks whilst his brother Timothy, 54, stood trial accused of 11 sexual offences involving a teenage boy.
After Timothy was found guilty on all counts earlier this month, Phillip and co-host Holly Willoughby then took their traditional Easter break, but he returned to host the show on Monday (17.04.23) alongside former Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes.
But though he thanked viewers for their support, Phillip didn’t directly address the scandal.
Speaking at the beginning of the show on Monday, he said: “I’d just like to say, it is really lovely to be back. I have missed the show and everyone here and also to you. I wanted to say thank you for your kind messages and support which were really appreciated. Thank you very much indeed. On with the show… Shall we?”
Phillip and Holly were replaced by the likes of Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary as well as Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle during their time off, and even though Holly had also been due to return today, she had been forced to take the rest of the week off after coming down with a bout of shingles.
She announced on her Instagram Story: “Hi, just to let you know, I may be away for the rest of the week as I have shingles. I’ll be back as soon as I’m better. Huge love.”

Su Pollard says Ruth Madoc’s ghost played a trick on her when she was onstage

OHMYGOSSIP — Su Pollard says Ruth Madoc’s ghost played a trick on her when she was onstage in a pantomime.
The 73-year-old actress felt the spirit of her late ‘Hi-De-Hi’ co-star – who passed away at the age of 79 in 2022 – and paid tribute to her when she was in ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ in Cheshire, 40 years after they met on the classic 80s sitcom that followed the antics at Maplin’s holiday camp in Crimpton-on-Sea.
She told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: “I made a little speech at the end. As I said, ‘Thank you so much, she would’ve been delighted with the tributes’, my crown went forward on my head.
“I said, ‘Ruth is watching us. She’s not quite ready to settle into heaven yet’. The audience applauded – it was fabulous.”
Su labelled Ruth’s death “such a shock” and how she found out just before she tread the boards in the festive stage show at Northwich Memorial Theatre in Cheshire.
She continued: “It was ever such a shock. It was terrible. I was about to do panto and I got a phone call to say Ruth had broken her leg.
“I found out what hospital she was in and I phoned her. And then a few days later she was gone.
“It was tragic, but it made me think about life. I thought, ‘OK girl, I’m going to live for you’. The thing is, I’m 73. Hopefully, I’ll live a long, long time. But by the law of averages, I could be, sadly, not with us in 10 years’ time.
“So you have to really enjoy what’s to come and embrace everything. Because you just never know.”
“You’ve got to grab opportunities. It’s no good being fearful. Give something a go if you think you can do it.”
“I don’t mind doing anything so long as it’s fun. Today won’t come again, so enjoy it.”

They open at the Manchester AO Arena on 18 October before continuing to the Birmingham Resorts World, Leeds First Direct Arena, Nottingham Motorpoint before concluding at Liverpool’s M and S Bank Arena.
‘Jurassic Park’ tells the story of a newly-opened theme park that is set on a remote island with exhibits featuring recently revived dinosaurs after a scientific breakthrough.
When Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) visit, they are left fighting for their lives when the park’s dinosaur inhabitants escape and once again rule planet Earth.
Steven Spielberg’s movie was released to great success in 1993 and spawned a franchise spanning six films and nearly three decades.

Rebecca Ferguson not interested in Mission: Impossible spin-off

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebecca Ferguson doesn’t want a ‘Mission: Impossible’ spin-off.
The 39-year-old actress stars in the action franchise as agent Ilsa Faust and is wary about her alter ego featuring in a standalone project as she feels the team dynamic in the films works better.
Rebecca – who will return for the conclusion to the franchise in ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’ and ‘Part Two’ – told ComicBook.com: “When I started ‘Mission’, I fell in love with Ilsa so much. I thought, ‘Yeah, f*** yeah she’d have a spin-off.’
“And then gradually, I don’t know if I became humble or if I realised it has nothing to do with Ilsa, it actually is a team thing, it is Ilsa and Ethan and (Simon Pegg’s) Benji and – I was gonna say Ving (Rhames) – all of the characters together that makes it so good.”
However, the ‘Dune’ actress did claim that a spin-off project could be successful if it is developed by the team behind ‘Mission: Impossible’ – including Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie.
The Swedish star said: “The idea of Ilsa alone – it would always work, you would need Chris McQuarrie and you would need Tom to produce it. Maybe Tom’s Ethan (Hunt) can dip in and out, he can be a guest star in my show.
“My point is, it’s not needed, I think. I think we’re good as it stands.”
McQuarrie previously suggested that the title of the next ‘Mission: Impossible’ film could hint at trouble for Ethan Hunt and several other characters.
Speaking to Empire magazine, Christopher said: “There are many things emerging from Ethan’s past.
“‘Dead reckoning’ is a navigational term. It means you’re picking a course based solely on your last known position and that becomes quite the metaphor not only for Ethan, but several characters.”

This Morning to be broadcast from Coronation Street set in honour of King Charles

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘This Morning’ is to broadcast an episode from the set of ‘Coronation Street’ in honour of King Charles.
The ITV1 daytime show normally comes live from the Television Centre in London but for one day next month, the show will move up north to the set of the long-running soap opera at MediaCity in Manchester, just one day ahead of the coronation ceremony of the new monarch on May 6.
Joined by soap stars Sally Ann Matthews – who plays Rovers Return landlady Jenny Connor – and Glenda Shuttleworth actress Jodie Prenger, Alison said on Monday’s (17.03.23), show: “You are cordially invited to attend the ‘This Morning Coronation Street’ party. Please join us on at 10am on Friday 5 May as we celebrate the coronation of King Charles III live from the nation’s most famous street. Don’t forget to bring your bunting! We are gonna be gatecrashing ‘Coronation Street.’
“When I say ‘we’, I mean everyone. The sofa is coming! We are so very excited. It’ll be me and Dermot. We’re gonna be cooking here, we’re literally bringing the show to ‘Coronation Street.’
“There you have it, ‘This Morning’ is uprooting, that’s what you were waiting for. That’s the announcement, boom! It’s gonna be in all the papers!”
Throughout Monday’s show, former ‘Big Brother’ star Alison Hammond had been teasing viewers with a “big announcement” as she presented live links from the secret location that turned out to be the street itself and fellow host Josie Gibson visited a Babycham factory, where she reminisced about the favourite drink of classic ‘Coronation Street’ character Ena Sharples, who appeared in the soap’s very first episode in December 1960 and stayed with the programme for two decades.
In the fictional history of the series that was created by Tony Warren, the backstreet – which was originally called Florizel Street before a last-minute change – was named after the 1902 coronation of King Edward VII, although in real life the show aired for the first time just seven years after the coronation of the late Queen Elizabeth, who died in September 2022 following a 70-year-reign.

Shaun Ryder admits he remembers nothing about ‘I’m a Celebrity…’ stint

OHMYGOSSIP — Shaun Ryder has declared being on ‘I’m a Celebrity…’ has taught him nothing about himself because his brain doesn’t “retain anything”.
The ‘Happy Mondays’ frontman, 60, who has recently been stricken with conditions including a defective thyroid, attention deficit disorder and alopecia, first appeared on the ITV show in 2010 and was named on Monday 17.04.23 as one of the first nine stars who will feature in the launch episode of the new ‘I’m a Celebrity… South Africa’ series.

Shaun – renowned for his heroin addiction and wild living in his rock ’n‘ roll heyday – added: “All I can remember about the (Bushtucker) Trials is eating a lot of penises, testicles and eyeballs!”
When asked to name his ideal campmate he said: “My life hero, Johnny Lydon (aka Johnny Rotten – who walked off ‘IAC’ in 2004.)
“He was the reason why I said ‘yes’ originally. I am keeping my fingers crossed he will be in camp.
“Anyone I don’t want to see again? I am not telling you in case you make sure she is there!”
When pressed for his “best memory” of the show, Shaun added: “The camp life. I am not usually a sociable person but I enjoyed chatting to everyone around the campfire.”
After weeks of speculation, ITV confirmed on Monday (17.04.23) the nine famous faces who will appear on the upcoming first episode of ‘I’m a Celebrity… South Africa’.

Helen said: “The theme tune still creeps me out but I enjoyed meeting all my fellow campmates and I still like watching friends I know do the show.”
Paul, who came out as gay in 2017 years after he finished as runner-up on 2004’s ‘IAC’, added about how the show transformed his career and public image and how he wanted to do the show for “dads struggling with their sexuality”: “I went into the jungle as Princess Diana’s former butler and I came out as Paul Burrell.
“From that point onwards, I realised I had to be me. Not long after that, my marriage disintegrated and I found a different path.
“This time I want to be there for all the dads out there who are struggling with their sexuality.”
Phil said his biggest lesson from previously competing on ‘AC’ was to “appreciate everything” in life.
He added: “The first thing I did after being in the jungle was to get on a beautiful soft bed and have a bath!”
Janice said: “I learnt that I could be ok with myself, if things were happening on one side of the camp I would just pick myself up and move.
“I found out it was ok to be by yourself, although you never know what creepy crawlies are going to crawl out from a log. You never know what’s going to jump up and bite your a**.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dominic West is in the “very early stages” of making a movie about legendary horse Red Rum.
The ‘Crown’ star is hoping to direct a film about the late equine, who won the Grand National three times in 1973, 1974, and 1977, and he is surprised a motion picture about the sporting legend hasn’t been made before.
He said: “I’m hoping to get a film of Red Rum organised.
“It’s very, very early stages. I’m hopefully going to direct it.”
But West believes he is “too old” to portray Red Rum’s trainer Ginger McCain, because he is keen to depict some of the late star’s early life.
He said: “I’d love to play Ginger, but I think I’m too old. We want to do some of his early life and his struggle and meeting Beryl [McCain’s wife] and all that, and I think I’m too old for that really.”
The star joked: “I could get a bit of plastic surgery maybe. Maybe I could get him with riding helmets on, or in fights so he’s got black eyes. That could be one way around it.”
West visited Aintree Racecourse in Merseyside, north west England, on Saturday (15.04.23) to walk the course and later take in the Grand National as part of a “research exercise”, but also because he has a lot of love for the late horse.
He added: “It’s a little bit of a research exercise coming to Aintree. But it’s mainly a sentimental thing, because I love Red Rum.
“But, certainly, there’s a lot of people here who are very interesting to talk to and who remember it well. I’ll be looking forward to doing that.
“It is amazing it [a Red Rum film] hasn’t been done before. You watch all the films like ‘Seabiscuit’ and ‘Hidalgo’ and you think, ‘What about our horses?’
“The greatest race in the world, the toughest race in the world, and Red Rum, the bravest, toughest horse there has ever been, and no one has ever made a film. It’s extraordinary, because it’s a brilliant underdog story.”
As well as currently playing King Charles in ‘The Crown’ – when the monarch was known as The Prince of Wales – West is also known for starring in ‘The Wire’, and in movies ‘Testament Of Youth’ and ‘Mona Lisa Smile’.
