‘I just needed to undertstand him!’ Jude Law on his approach to playing Captain Hook

OHMYGOSSIP — Jude Law needed to “really understand” the character of Captain Hook in ‘Peter Pan and Wendy.’
The 50-year-old actor stars as the arch-villain in the upcoming fantasy film – which serves as a live-action adaptation of 1959 Walt Disney classic ‘Peter Pan – and explained that it was about more than just “camping it up” for the part and loved being able to “join the dots” to justify what led the character to his place in the story.
He told ScreenRant: ” I just love being able to join the dots and understand. It’s one thing to play [an] arch-villain and just turn on the camp of the bad guy, but to really understand them. To really go back and look at the damage done. The unfortunate path that this person has trod and how that affects the way they dress, the way they look, and just their spirit, their heart. That’s why I do this job. I love all that stuff. It gives you roots, it gives you gravitas when you when you step on and you have to play the part.”
The Oscar-winning star – who appears alongside newcomer Alexander Molony and ‘Black Widow’ actress Ever Anderson in the title roles of Peter and Wendy respectively – went on to question who his character may have been as a child and explained that getting the “right mix” of character traits was the overall “challenge” of the part.
He added: “Who was he as a little boy? Obviously, so much of the theme of Peter Pan is about growing up and Hook being the adult in the mix along with the pirates. He symbolizes the bad path. He symbolizes a life where the scars heal over scars, heal over scars and it has an effect, ultimately, on his heart and on his soul.
“Understanding and demonstrating that was the most rewarding aspect and challenging in many ways because at the same time, you’re in a fantasy. You want him to be fun. You want him to be attractive, laughable, and equally threatening. So getting that mix just right was the challenge.
‘Peter Pan and Wendy’ is due for release on April 28.

Gillian McKeith returns to I’m A Celebrity for South Africa spin off

OHMYGOSSIP — Gillian McKeith returned on ‘I’m A Celebrity… South Africa’ as a surprise late arrival.
The 63-year-old TV nutritionist – who famously fainted during the Bushtucker Trials when she first appeared on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ – has made a comeback 13 years later to join the likes of Carol Vorderman and Helen Flanagan in an all-star version of the ITV reality show.
Hosts Ant and Dec revealed the huge twist at the end of the opening episode of the spin-off – which is set in a new camp in Kruger National Park – as a large box was brought in on Monday night (24.04.23).
The contestants opened the box, and Gillian – who appeared on the 10th series in 2010 – leaped out.
She quipped: “I couldn’t let you do this without Jungle Gill.”
Her appearance could cause some friction in the camp, given the way she and musician Shaun Ryder clashed on a number of occasions in 2010, with the Happy Mondays singer referring to her as “a f****** irritating woman” at one point.
In a preview for tonight’s episode, Shaun insists that Gillian “should have stayed in the box”.
Meanwhile, the ‘You Are What You Eat’ star has admitted she is even more “apprehensive and petrified” this time but that’s what is inspiring her.
She said: “Now when I think about doing ‘I’m A Celebrity’ again, I feel apprehensive and petrified.
“It’s going to be more terrifying this time because, back then, I didn’t know what to expect, but this time I can’t use that as an excuse.
“What I felt before feels 1000 times worse now and all of it freaks me out, but I feel I’ve got a calling to represent all the scaredy cats in Britain – and that is the reason why I’ve said yes.”

Helen Flanagan reveals truth about engagement ring on I’m a Celebrity South Africa

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Flanagan wore her engagement ring on ‘I’m A Celebrity… South Africa’ to avoid talking about her breakup.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star split from footballer fiance Scott Sinclair – with whom she has children Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and two-year-old Charlie – just two months before heading to Kruger National Park to film the new ITV reality show spin off in September 2022.
She told OK! Magazine: “I did wear my engagement ring when I was in the jungle. We’d only just broken up, and I didn’t want everyone to be asking, ‘Where’s your ring?’
“I didn’t want to talk about it… I wanted to keep it private for the kids, I didn’t want to be talking about it on the show.
“I did find that difficult, because I had all that going on in my head. He’s a very private person, while I’m an open book. But we were together for 13 years – we both needed to deal with the breakup.”
The pair first started dating in 2009, and got engaged when he proposed at Disneyland Paris nine years later.
The 32-year-old actress revealed the couple split in July last year, and dismissed recent speculation they could rekindle their romance after being spotted together in Dubai.
She explained: “Scott was there on a break from training, so we spent a day together with the kids. That was it.”
While she was later photographed with a ring on her engagement finger, she laughed off the confusion.
She added: “That’s so typical of me – I didn’t even think about wearing a ring on that finger!”
She also played down any suggestion of a reconciliation for the former flames, noting that her priority is their children.
Asked about the possibility, she said: “No. I just hope we can be good friends and co-parent.”

Amy Hart received ‘graphic’ messages and unsolicited nude images while pregnant

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Hart was “cyberflashed” and received “graphic sexual messages” during her pregnancy.
The former ‘Love Island’ star – who appeared on the ITV dating show in 2019 – welcomed her first son Stanley with partner Sam Rason last month, and she wants to raise awareness of the concerning trend after she started receiving unsolicited pictures following her time in the villa.
Reflecting on how the cyberflashing continued during her pregnancy, she told heat magazine: “It was really weird, because the pictures came alongside some really graphic sexual messages.
“Cyberflashing is violating and can be disempowering.”
Her partner Sam, 35, was also appalled by the way men have behaved online.
She explained: “My partner Sam thinks it’s so weird. He was like, ‘I wouldn’t even send you that now and we’ve been together for two years.’ ”
While the 30-year-old star describes herself as typically being “stupidly fearless”, that attitude shifted while she was pregnant.
She added: “When I go to London and come out of West End shows at night, I’ll walk back to the Tube or train.
“But, once I was pregnant, as soon as anyone walked slightly nearer to me, I was worrying about what they were going to do.
“You’re not just thinking about yourself anymore.”
Although Amy – who has teamed up with dating app Bumble to tackle the issue of cyberflashing – noted that “it’s not something that just happens to people in the public eye”, she suggested people see reality stars and influences as “fair game”.
She said: “With ‘Love Island’, people either love it – like me, it’s still my favourite show – or they’re proud they don’t watch it.
“Being an influencer, as well, people think we’re fair game and want to push that as far as they can.”

Scarlett Moffatt thinks Carol Vorderman will win I’m A Celebrity South Africa

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt has picked Carol Vorderman to win ‘I’m A Celebrity… South Africa’.
The ex ‘Gogglebox’ star – who won the ITV reality show back in 2016 – has predicted that the former ‘Countdown’ host, 62, will become the new queen on the all-stars edition of the beloved show, which is again hosted by Ant and Dec.
The 32-year-old TV star told her ‘I’m A Celebrity…South Africa – The Podcast’ co-host Seann Walsh: “My camp mam. She’s a pilot, not scared of heights, she’s not afraid to get stuck into a camel’s penis… she’s on duty for cooking, and food is life in there.”
Scarlett admitted that she would love to go into the “posh” set up on the spin off, which is currently airing nightly on ITV1 and showcasing ‘I’m A Celeb’ veterans like Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder, cricketer Phil Tufnell and former ‘Coronation Street’ star Helen Flanagan.
She said: “I would go in the Bush! The camp looks posh.”
The ‘Scared of the Dark’ star – who is currently expecting her first baby, a son with her boyfriend Scott Dobinson, 36 – told the 37-year-old comedian that she was ordered to bathe by the show’s production team when she went 10 days without a shower.
She admitted: “Medic Bob prescribed me a shower in my series. 10 days I didn’t have a shower.
“He said, ‘Scarlett, I don’t know how to say this, but you need to have a shower.”
The pair also detailed which of their fellow campers’ habits really got on their nerves, including loud eating and blinking.
Seann – who competed on the most recent series alongside Matt Hancock – said: “Thing that got to me was when the cutlery scratched the containers. I had to walk away and eat on my own. Owen [Warner] was a container scratcher!”
Scarlett added: “The only thing that did my head in, and this is going to sound so petty, was I’ve never known anyone apart from Martin [Roberts] – from ‘Homes Under the Hammer’ – had the wettest eyeballs!
“You could hear him blinking! I was thinking, ‘I might have to tell him to stop blinking so loud.’ But you can’t do that! It’s only because you’re hungry little things do your head in in there.”

Clive Myrie says Italy made him lose ‘English manners’

OHMYGOSSIP — Clive Myrie has insisted Italy made him lose his English politeness.
The BBC News anchor found filming ‘Clive Myrie’s Italian Food Road Trip’ – which will debut on BBC Two next week – a great way to become more assertive on the road.
The 58-year-old broadcaster told the Radio Times magazine: “At first, you think, ‘I’m an Englishman, and I’m going to give you the right of way. Then two weeks later, ‘I’m pulling out, I don’t care’.
“If you loiter – if you try to be terribly English about it – you’ll get hammered.”
Clive explained how despite being a foreign correspondent and reporting from all over the world, he has no “internal compass”.
He said: “My internal compass doesn’t exist. I had this map, and I was like, ‘I don’t know where I’m going.’ ”
The ‘Mastermind’ host – who will explore many culinary hot spots in the Mediterranean nation like Rome, Sicily, and Amalfi – wants viewers of the 15-part series to “enjoy the Italian sunshine” with him.
He added: “I hope viewers enjoy this road trip as much as I have and fall in love with Italy – a place that captured my heart many years ago. Even after several years of visiting, I always have something new to learn and explore.
“This trip helped me discover places, communities and traditions I’d never come across before, and the series is packed with beautiful locations, delicious food and the friendliest people. I hope BBC viewers enjoy the Italian sunshine with me this May.”
Meanwhile, Clive previously clapped back against allegations his show copied the format of Stanley Tucci’s series ‘Searching For Italy’.
The journalist shared a tweet that stated, “Stanley Tucci would like a word”, which was responding to the programme’s announcement, and quipped: “Oops! Is he hacked off? Tell him I’m out of town… in Italy!”

Mackenzie Davis cast in Speak No Evil

OHMYGOSSIP — Mackenzie Davis has joined the cast of ‘Speak No Evil’.
The 36-year-old actress is to star alongside James McAvoy in the remake of the Danish psychological thriller ‘Gaesterne’.
‘Speak No Evil’ centres on a family who take a dream holiday to an idyllic house in the country, only to have the vacation turn into a nightmare.
The movie will be written and directed by James Watkins for Universal and is set to be released in August 2024.
The director has previously worked on the horror movies ‘Eden Lake’ and ‘The Woman In Black’ as well as the TV shows ‘Black Mirror’ and ‘McMafia’.
The original film was directed by Christian Tafdrup and was nominated for 11 Danish Film Awards, the nation’s equivalent of the Oscars.
Blumhouse chief Jason Blum is producing with executive producers on the film including Tafdrup, Paul Ritchie, Jacob Jarek and Bea Sequeira.
Mackenzie played the role of Grace Harper in the 2019 film ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’, which disappointed at the box office, and she argues that franchise fatigue was to blame for the poor performance of the flick.
She told the Happy Sad Confused podcast: “I loved the experience of making that movie. It was hard and rigorous, but the people were amazing.
“Tim (Miller) was an incredible director, just so dedicated and devoted to making it the best thing it could be. As far as the box office and stuff, it’s ‘Terminator 6’, nobody saw the last three, I get it, it’s OK, I don’t think that means what we made was bad, but I understand that the audience’s appetite has been exhausted.”

Ken Loach says that The Old Oak is likely to be his final film

OHMYGOSSIP — Ken Loach admits that ‘The Old Oak’ is likely to be his final film.
The 86-year-old director believes that the upcoming flick – which is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival next month – will probably be the last time he gets behind the camera as he will be too old to do so in the coming years.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Ken said: “Films take a couple of years and I’ll be nearly 90. And your facilities do decline. Your short-term memory goes and my eyesight is pretty rubbish now, so it’s quite tricky.”
The ‘Kes’ director says he had no issues coping with the demands of making a film but does find it harder to sustain the “good humour” and “nervous emotional energy” to set the tempo during a film shoot and keep momentum going.
Loach went into the movie knowing that it would be his swansong.
He quipped: “I’m just not sure I can get around the court again. It’s like an old nag at the Grand National. You think, good God, I’ll be falling at the first fence!”
Ken has claimed that ‘The Old Oak’ will be his final narrative feature but his long-time collaborator Paul Laverty hasn’t ruled out making another documentary and doubts that Loach will be able to walk away from the craft for good.
He explained: “That wouldn’t be so absolutely overwhelming – you wouldn’t have to do that massive casting.
“But I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t do something. I think it’s in his blood really. And he’s still got lots to say.”

Vicky Pattison doesn’t feel like she had ‘self worth’ unless she’s helping others

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky Pattison feels like she has “no self-worth” unless she’s helping someone else.
The former ‘Geordie Shore’ star – who previously confronted her relationship with alcohol in Channel 4 documentary ‘Vicky Pattison: Alcohol, Dad And Me’ – has candidly spoken about her own “awful” behaviour after winning ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ in 2015.
Speaking to new! magazine, she said: “My self-worth is wrapped up in acts of service. I feel like I’m only good for what I can for people.
“It’s about making money for agents, taking my sister on vacation, and being there for my friends. It’s everything.
“I have no self-worth if I am not adding anything useful to someone’s life.”
The 35-year-old star admitted she isn’t sure if that stems from her dad John’s addiction to drink, or her early career in television.
She added: “I don’t know if that is a product of being the child of an alcoholic father and experiencing low self-esteem.
“Or it’s the product of five years of participating in toxic TV shows where I had sex on TV and I felt worthless.”
However, Vicky – who is engaged to former builder Ercan Ramadan, 29 – is happy with her man and the work they’re putting in to “be a successful couple”.
She said “There have been a few bobby-dazzlers but what I have with Ercan is much better.
“He is right for me and we are not perfect, but I don’t know many couples who are. But we work hard to be a successful couple.
“I think we are really progressive and modern in the sense that my job requires me to travel all over the place and work hard, long hours.
“It’s very predictable, but he backs me and sometimes he is at home with the dogs. It takes such a strong man to welcome a woman like me at the end of the day.”

Gillian McKeith and Shaun Ryder have to pair up for I’m A Celebrity challenge

OHMYGOSSIP — Gillian McKeith and Shaun Ryder will have to tackle the first ‘I’m A Celebrity… South Africa’ Chest Challenge.
The two stars – who clashed in the jungle when they appeared on the ITV reality show together 12 years ago – aren’t too pleased to see each other in the all star spin-off series, but they’ll be forced to work together in tonight’s (25.04.23) episode.
Later in the day, a Bush Bulletin reveals they will pair up for the Lost Connection Chest Challenge in a bid to win a treat for camp.
Gillian admits: “I have no idea how Shaun and I are going to get along.”
As they leave, Janice Dickinson jokes it could be “World War 3” while Helen Flanagan adds: “Hopefully they’ll bring back a treat… I think the camp would love that.”
Last night’s episode saw the campmates shocked as Gillian was delivered in a box, insisting: “I couldn’t let you do this without Jungle Gill.’ ”
In the Bush Telegraph, Shaun admits he was “surprised” to see her join the lineup.
He says: “Gillian came out of a box. I was very surprised. I probably could have done without it being Gillian, yeah.”
Also in the Bush Telegraph, Gillian adds: “How do I feel about Shaun Ryder being here? I said hello, he said hello, it was all very cordial. What can I say?”
Shaun admits in camp that he “nearly killed her” the first time round, and back in the Bush Telegraph he insists he’s a “different person” over a decade later.
He explains: “‘ve been trying to be nice to her. I’m a different person, whatever. I don’t think Gillian was pleased to see me.”
Elsewhere in tonight’s episode, Gillian starts to pull rank after having some strong thoughts about the condition of the long drop, which she brands “disgusting” and “nauseating”.
She tells Helen: “There’s people ‘widdling’ on the seat. We’re going to have to talk to them.
“There’s going to have to be a discussion about this. It’s embarrassing, it’s disgusting. What if you sit on the seat and there’s the residue of someone before?”
Meanwhile, Ant and Dec return to let the celebrities know that two campmates will be taking part in the eating trial, with Janice and Jordan Banjo chosen to face the Bush Banquet.
Janice warns: “I won’t do it and everyone will starve. I can’t eat s*** from a frog.”
And the Diversity star adds: “One time I went to a really posh restaurant, I ordered lobster. It came out, head on, eyes there, claws… I couldn’t even do that. It’s not looking good.”
‘I’m A Celebrity… South Africa’ airs tonight (25.04.23) at 9pm on Virgin Media None and Virgin Media Player.
Viewers can also tune in via ITV1 and ITVX.

Mark Bonnar confirms Guilt season three will be its last

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Bonnar has insisted the time is right for ‘Guilt’ to end.
The former ‘Catastrophe’ star admitted while he’s “sad” that the Neil Forsyth-created BBC Two drama – in which he plays Max alongside co-star Jamie Sives as his on-screen brother Jake – will be done after the third series, they’re going out in a big way.
The 54-year-old actor said: “Of course. I’ll be sad to say goodbye to the show. But I think what Neil has done is absolutely right. It was time and I think the mark of a class act, as Neil is, is knowing to get out while we’re on top.”
He described being part of the show as “an absolute joy”, while playing Max has been “a total gift”.
He added: “It’s been an absolute joy, a total gift to play. I’ve said this before, but Neil Forsyth writes the words that I love to say. He’s not only an incredible storyteller but a wordsmith as well – they feel amazing in your mouth.
“He has a knack of doing all these separate fascinating strands of a story and managing to tie them all together in a really funny and dramatic way.
“When he first started out with the show, he said there was a lack of anything like this on British television, a ‘dramedy’ – like the Americans do so well, where the show is very serious, but has a lot of funny moments in it.
“Before, we didn’t really do that – a crime drama was a crime drama; a hospital drama was a hospital drama – there were very few jokes. I think Neil’s broken the mould.”
Mark also shared how “wonderful” he finds all the Scottish fans telling him about their “pride” in the show, which is set in the capital city Edinburgh and also stars David Hayman, Amelia Isaac Jones and Euan MacNaughton.
He said: “It’s a universal story but something that we made in Scotland with Scottish writers, Scottish crew. It was a bunch of Scots that made it and it showed the world what we can do. So I’m overflowing with pride about that. To be a part of that is incredible.”
The series launches will all episodes available on iPlayer today (25.04.23), episode one airing on BBC Scotland at 10pm and then following on BBC Two at 9pm on Thursday (27.04.23).

Olivia Attwood got ‘really kind messages’ from some campmates after leaving I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Attwood received “really kind messages” from Chris Moyles and Charlene White after leaving ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’
The former ‘Love Island’ star – who was forced to leave the Australian-based camp within two days on last year’s series of the ITV reality show over health concerns – was delighted to get support from her former campmates, including like the 49-year-old Radio X DJ and the 42-year-old ITV News anchor.
The 31-year-old star told new! magazine: “A couple of them reached out afterwards and sent lovely messages, but I’m not in a situation where I speak to any of them regularly because I only spent a few days with them, and then they were there for two or three weeks without me.
“When you’re in the show, that feels like a lifetime. I was surprised to received really kind messages from Chris [Moyles] and Charlene [White], and I appreciated it because I thought, ‘I must be far back in your memory by this point.’”
Olivia admitted that she “would like” to return to the programme – which was won by Lioness icon Jill Scott – but her diary is “insane” and jam-packed for the next 12 months.
She said: “I would like to come back at some point. And I want to go back for the viewers because I feel like the support I had around that just completely overwhelmed me.
“My schedule right now is just insane and takes me up to almost this time next year. So it’s something [I’d do] if the stars align…. I need to be really careful what I say.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Getting Filthy Rich’ presenter – who is currently putting the final touches on her upcoming wedding to her footballer fiance Bradley Dack, 29 – admitted she would be keen to return to ‘Love Island’ as a host but doesn’t feel like Maya Jama’s role is going to be “vacant any time soon”.
She added: “I mean, who wouldn’t want to present that show? It’s such a big part of my life, and I’m so proud to have been a part of it. Having said that, Maya Jama is fantastic and is such a good fit for it, so I don’t see that slot becoming vacant any time soon.”

‘This has taken up my entire life…’ James Gunn shares ‘relief’ to complete Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy

OHMYGOSSIP — James Gunn admits it’s a “big relief” to complete the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ trilogy.
The 56-year-old director has helmed every movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series since the first instalment came out in 2014 and is now unveiling the final film in his series, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’.
Gunn says the story and characters – which include Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer and Rocket, among others – have consumed much of his time and thoughts for the past 11 years and he is pleased to be able to close this chapter on his career with a blockbuster adventure he is extremely proud of.
Speaking at a press conference at Le Bristol hotel in Paris, he said: “Over the past 11 years of my life, I think I have probably spent 60 percent of my time thinking about the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. So this has taken up my entire life.
“There is a weird situation where I just have to adjust everything about my world to be about something other than the Guardians, which is difficult.
“But it’s frankly a big relief also, to feel like we’ve finished this trilogy, and we finished it in a way that we’re really proud of, where all the characters get the dignity they deserve.”
Gunn teased that the third movie focuses heavily on genetically engineered raccoon bounty hunter Rocket – who is voiced by Bradley Cooper – who he says has been the “heart of this trilogy for me”.
He added: “It was really important to me, the reason why I chose to come back and do this movie, is because I felt a deep need to finish Rocket’s story, that’s what brought me to do it.”
Gunn is moving on to focus on creating a new DC Universe along with Peter Safran, with the pair being appointed co-chairmen and co-CEOs of DC Studios.
Although he is switching comic book sides, the ‘Slither’ filmmaker will miss the friends he has made from the cast which includes Karen Gillan, Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista and Vin Diesel.
Gunn admits that those off-screen friendships have influenced how he has written for their alter egos in his new film.
He said: “I think it’s an interesting thing when you work with people for so long, on such long shoots, you become friends with them outside of that process and you get to know them on a molecular level.
“So it makes the movies naturally in some ways more interesting, because I know how funny Karen is and so Nebula all of a sudden has a humorous streak that she didn’t have in the first movie.
“I know that Zoe has this way to be so focused on one thing and just be there and so it makes much more of a tougher, crazier, meaner character in this movie, because I know what she’s able to do and how cool she is.”
To celebrate the upcoming release of Marvel Studios’ ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ Gunn and cast members Pratt, Saldana, Gillan, Pom Klementieff and Diesel took an intergalactic road trip to Disneyland Paris for the European Gala Event at the brand-new immersive universe Marvel Avengers Campus.
In Avengers Campus, guests become ‘recruits’ to dive into the heart of the action alongside the Marvel Super Heroes, who include Star Lord, Gamora, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man and Shuri, while experiencing epic adventures, especially in thrilling experiences such as Spider-Man WEB Adventure and Avengers Assemble: Flight Force.
‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ releases exclusively in UK cinemas and around the world on May 3.
Avengers Campus and new limited-time experiences to celebrate the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ are available at Disneyland Paris.

As revealed on Tuesday night (25.04.23), the ITV reality show is introducing three new campmates in tonight’s episode, with the incoming trio reportedly getting to choose someone to be evicted from camp and moved the “back to basics” Savannah Scrub.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “One of them will be tasked with choosing someone to be banished.
“It’s a horrible decision because none want to go. A twist like this always causes tension.”
Singer Myleene, 45, reality star Toff, 28, and ‘Corrie’ actor Andy, 42, will arrive in tonight’s episode.
The current campmates – including the likes of Gillian McKeith, Carol Vorderman and Shaun Ryder – will have to choose one to join the others for dinner, and they will be tasked with winning stars for the evening meal.
Teasing the new arrivals after receiving a Bush Bulletin, Jordan Banjo read: “Three new celebrities are on their way and it is up to you to decide which one of them will join you for dinner tonight.

Megan McKenna: Freebie lip fillers gave me body dysmorphia

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan McKenna says free lip fillers she received during her time on ‘The Only Way is Essex’ left her with “a bit of body dysmorphia”.
The reality star-turned-country singer – who was on the ITVBe show in 2017 – had her fillers removed in 2020, and is much more “comfortable” with her appearance.
She told OK.co.uk: “I’m really comfortable with the way I look. Before, I was in a different environment.
“In the world of reality TV you get all these things for free and you think, ‘Oh, I’ll get that,’ and you get wrapped up in it and a bit of body dysmorphia.”
The 30-year-old star also says she had her lips dissolved so that her music is “taken seriously”.
She admitted: “I also want to be taken seriously with my music and I don’t want to look like a blow-up doll – it’s not nice.”
The brunette beauty insists she drew the line at having Botox.
