‘Se-ven!’ How many times did Len Goodman deliver his trademark score on Strictly Come Dancing?

OHMYGOSSIP — Len Goodman awarded his famous “se-ven!” score 346 times on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The beloved ballroom expert died on Saturday (22.04.23) aged 78 at a hospice in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, surrounded by his family after a battle with bone cancer and since his passing there has been an outpouring of tributes from his co-stars and colleagues with Bruno Tonioli describing him as a “perfect 10”.
Len became famous on the BBC show for his catchphrases on the judging panel, and it has now been revealed just how many times he handed out his trademark paddle score.
Data-driven experts Whetstone Communications (Whetstonecomms.com) have gone deep into the data to tell the statistical story of Len’s time behind the famous desk and surprisingly seven was not the not the points tally he handed out the most.
Using publicly available data from the StrictlyDB database, the Whetstone team have crunched through data from 2,500 dances to reveal some new facts about Len’s legendary time on ‘Strictly’.
Although he gave out 346 sevens, his favourite score to give to the celebrities and their professional partners was an eight which he awarded on 391 occasions.
He gave out a nine 334 times and it was a “10 from Len” on 158 occasions, peaking in Season 12 when he awarded a total of 22 number 10s. Rachel Stevens and Ore Oduba got the highest number of 10s from Len receiving seven each in Series 6 and Series 14 respectively.
Other stats reveal that Len judged 1,570 dances across 14 series and his average score across his ‘Strictly’ career was 8 (7.67).
Len’s lowest ever score was a 3 and only once, to Quentin Wilson dancing a Cha Cha Cha to ‘Pink Cadillac’ in Series 2.
His ‘top’ professional for maximums was Kevin Clifton, who received 20 top scores, followed by Pasha Kovalev who received a 10 on 16 occasions.
Of all the dances he scored with a 10 or 9, tracks by crooners Frank Sinatra (16) and Nat King Cole (8) were most common (492 dances in total).
Dances to ‘Crazy in Love’ by Beyonce got 10s on three occasions from Len, twice in Series 5, once in Series 10 and also a nine from Len.
Routines to swing song ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’ – made famous by Benny Goodman – scored 9s or 10s from Len on six occasions across three seasons; Series 2, 9 and 7.
The Charleston and Argentine Tango seem to be his most favoured dances styles, both securing 10s on 16 occasions.
Len’s final dance as a judge was on 17 December, 2016, when he gave Danny Mac and Oti Mabuse a 10 as part of a perfect 40 score.
Whetstone Founder Alex Waddington said: “‘Strictly’ is a Saturday night fixture in my house; it seemed fitting to dig into the data and tell the full story about Len’s time as a much-loved and admired judge.”
Len was one of the original judges when ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ launched in 2004 – a revamp of long-running BBC series ‘Come Dancing’.
He sat on the panel until 2016 when he quit after struggling with the travel schedule between the UK and the US for his judging role on ‘Dancing with the Stars’.

Len Goodman’s Strictly Come Dancing scoring:

10 – 158 times
9 – 334 times
8 – 391 times
7 – 346 times
6 – 219 times
5 – 107 times
4 – 14 times

Hannah Waddingham didn’t need intimacy coordinator for raunchy Tom Jones scenes

OHMYGOSSIP — Hannah Waddingham didn’t need the help of an intimacy coordinator as she loved filming racy ‘Tom Jones’ scenes.
The 48-year-old actress – who plays cougar Lady Bellaston in ITV’s upcoming period rom-com – had no problem getting up close and personal for steamy sex scenes with her 23-year-old co-star Solly McLeod.
Hannah is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper’s Square Eyes column as saying: “It was great to have the back-up but you find your own rhythms. I imagine her like a hawk with her claws and grabbing Tom.”
Solly has admitted he didn’t ever feel “awkward” during the more intimate scenes, and the pair instead had “fun” embracing their characters.
As quoted by the Daily Star’s Hot TV column, he said: “The characters are fun and playful. We allowed ourselves to have fun with it. We were lucky enough to be comfortable enough with each other to be able to talk about the scenes.
“We were open to trying things and seeing what was right. I never felt weird or awkward.”
Based on Henry Fielding’s 1749 novel, ‘The History of Tom Jones, A Foundling’, the Bridgerton-esque story follows Tom as he embarks on a relationship with an heiress.
Speaking to virginradio.co.uk, Hannah explained what drew her to play such a scheming character.
She said: “The thing that drew me to her was not only her relationship with Tom, but actually her irritation and the sense of competition she feels with some fire.
“I just thought all the mileage for an older woman, who has always been as soon as she walks into a room, it’s like total mic drop with everyone. Suddenly this young girl who is a relation and who she is supposed to give something to in life, comes into her orbit and genuinely rocks her in a different way than Tom does.
“She has this this the energy of these two young people making her question her own power in her environment, and I think that makes it so much worse and intoxicating for her to take control.”

Mark Wright thinks getting a date with Michelle Keegan was harder than cracking America

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Wright has admitted landing a date with Michelle Keegan was tougher than cracking America.
The couple, who tied the knot on 24 May 2015, are all loved up and enjoying married life after moving into their £3.5million mansion last year, but the former ‘TOWIE’ star – who met Michelle, 35, whilst on holiday in Dubai at the end of 2012 – thinks it was harder to win over his wife than it was to make it in the US.
Speaking on the ‘Private Parts’ podcast to host Jamie Laing, he said: “I chased her for a while. Basically she gave me the elbow for about a year and then finally I got my way.
“I don’t know who was harder to crack actually – her or my US boss. Probably her, and that’s saying something.
“’Then about literally a year later of us bumping into each other I finally sort of asked her out and it went from there.”
In 2017, Mark embarked on his dream of making it stateside by signing a year-long contract of presenting a late night segment for Extra at Universal Studios in Los Angeles.
However, Mark was not cut out for the American dream as he quit his job after two years to move back to the UK to be with his wife, while they are also busy renovating their Mallorca apartment.
He added: “It was tough. I’m married and my wife was filming a lot back in the UK, Europe and South Africa at the time.
“So she couldn’t be with me full time and I’m a married man, living in Hollywood, but without my wife.
“After a while you start to think, ‘What’s most important? Your dreams or your happiness?’ ”

Andy Whyment would love to see Harry Redknapp return to I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Andy Whyment would love Harry Redknapp and Gino D’Acampo to join ‘I’m A Celebrity… South Africa’.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actor – who has played Kirk Sutherland on the cobbles since 2000 and was a runner-up on the ITV reality show in 2019 – has weighed in on his ideal surprise campmates for the all-star spin off.
He said: “I would love it if Harry Redknapp was in the camp because I could talk about football with him all day!
“Also Gino D’Acampo would be great. I think my wife would be jealous if he cooked for me!”
The 42-year-old star also admitted his favourite ‘I’m A Celebrity’ memories come from seeing the famous faces struggle with their Bushtucker Trials.
He added: “When Paul Burrell put his hand in the barrels, it really made me laugh.
“Gillian McKeith fainting was funny as she obviously didn’t want to do the trial and Dean Gaffney made me giggle with his screams. It was such great TV to watch.”
Meanwhile, Andy credited presenting duo Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly with helping the show become “such a success”.
He explained: “I think the reason why the show is such a success is partly down to Ant and Dec. They take the mickey out of everyone.
“I’m A Celebrity has such a cult following and we as a family always can’t wait to watch it. I am a proper fan of the show.”
He loved being part of it four years ago, and a big part of that was getting to show everyone his true self.
He said: “To get to the final with people in my camp like Caitlyn Jenner who as millions of followers on Twitter was amazing.
“I am an ordinary guy and I was so glad people saw me for who I am. Before then, they had just seen me as Kirk.
“‘I’m A Celebrity’ is 24 hours a day and it meant a lot that people did vote for me. I think that is why I got so emotional as I’d never done a show where people were voting for me as me.
“I was over the moon to come runner-up in the series and it feels great to be doing it all over again.”
I’m A Celebrity…South Africa continues tonight at 9pm and all this week on Virgin Media One and Virgin Media Player.
Viewers can also tune in on ITV1 and ITVX.

Georgia Toffolo will ‘run a mile’ when she sees Ant and Dec on I’m A Celebrity South Africa

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia Toffolo will “probably run a mile” when she sees Ant and Dec on ‘I’m A Celebrity… South Africa’.
The former ‘Made In Chelsea’ star – who won the ITV reality show in 2017 – is returning on tonight’s (26.04.23) episode as part of the all-star spin off and she admitted she’ll be expecting the worse when the sees the hosts.
She laughed: “Ant and Dec are normally coming with something ghastly. I will probably run a mile as it means they are going to tell me to do something awful.
“I am good at the mind of matter stuff but I find the physical trials hard. I can be quite tough on myself if I don’t do well in a trial.”
The 28-year-old star is looking forward to being back in camp – this time, the stars are swapping Australian for Kruger National Park – particularly when it comes to getting to try different food.
She said: “I used to sit around the campfire and eat the scraps that nobody wanted! I loved all the adventurous things like the crocodile tail which you don’t get in London.
“One of the best things about doing the jungle experience is you really are stuck in there with a fire and left to your own devices.
“The beautiful thing to be said of ‘I’m A Celebrity is the content is created all on your own accord. I love it so much. You can only be yourself in camp.”
For Toff, the show also taught her a lot about herself, from being “good at talking rubbish” to realising what she can achieve if she commits herself.
She added: “You have a lot of time to reflect in camp. It made me think about all the things I wanted to do in life.
“I was 23 at the time and doing ‘I’m A Celebrity’ hugely helped my career. The opportunities it put my way are things I could only dream about and it took me to the next level.”
‘I’m A Celebrity…South Africa’ continues tonight at 9pm and all this week on Virgin Media One and Virgin Media Player.
Viewers can also tune in on ITV1 and ITVX.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge plays ‘unique’ role in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

OHMYGOSSIP — Phoebe Waller-Bridge plays a “unique” character in ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’.
The 37-year-old star features in the movie as Indy’s goddaughter Helena Shaw and thinks that her alter ego differs from the former female allies of Harrison Ford’s archaeologist.
Phoebe told Total Film magazine: “I think they really achieved something extraordinary: she fits into the canon, and she feels like there is certainly an energy that she shares with all the characters that have come before, especially with the female parts, but she is unique, and she has a fresh voice.
“She was somebody who was mysterious from the off. I think (Indy’s) often been the mystery to these characters before, especially his female counterparts, and I think there’s something really unusual in how they flip that here.”
Phoebe had the chance to work with iconic composer John Williams for the first time on the film – which is released in June – and was honoured that Helena was given her own theme.
The ‘Fleabag’ actress said: “I still haven’t really found the words for that. I managed to actually meet John at the Oscars.
“To be able to say thank you to him for all the work that has inspired me over the years, but then also to specifically say, ‘Thank you for writing me a theme’, was one of the purest and most precious moments in this side of my professional life. That was the best.”
Meanwhile, Harrison has confirmed that the movie will definitely be his last outing as Indy.
He told the publication: “This is the final film in the series, and this is the last time I’ll play the character. I anticipate that it will be the last time that he appears in a film.”

Steven Spielberg regrets removing guns from E.T. scene

OHMYGOSSIP — Steven Spielberg regrets editing guns out of ‘E.T.’
The legendary director’s 1982 sci-fi film included a scene where young children were chased by officers with firearms and Spielberg rues the decision to replace the guns with walkie-talkies in the 20th anniversary edition of the classic movie.
Speaking at the Time 100 Summit, the filmmaker said: “That was a mistake. I never should have done that. ‘E.T.’ is a product of its era. No film should be revised based on the lenses we now are, either voluntarily, or being forced to peer through.
“‘E.T.’ was a film that I was sensitive to the fact that the federal agents were approaching kids with firearms exposed and I thought I would change the guns into walkie-talkies… Years went by and I changed my own views.”
Spielberg, 76, is irritated that he “messed” with his work and urged aspiring directors not to make the same mistake.
The ‘Jaws’ helmer said: “I should never have messed with the archives of my own work, and I don’t recommend anyone do that. All our movies are a kind of a signpost of where we were when we made them, what the world was like and what the world was receiving when we got those stories out there.
“So I really regret having that out there.”
Spielberg’s last movie was the semi-autobiographical flick ‘The Fabelmans’ but he confessed recently that he had “no idea” what project he was going to direct next.
He said at the Berlin International Film Festival in February: “I don’t know what I’m going to do next. I have no idea.
“And it’s kind of a nice feeling, and it’s also a horrible feeling. It’s nice that I can actually have control of my life again and make my own choices. But I need to work and I love to work. That’s the biggest question I’m going to have for the rest of the year, trying to figure this out.”

I’m A Celebrity… stars Jill Scott and Owen Warner reunite

OHMYGOSSIP — Jill Scott had “such a laugh” catching up with Owen Warner over lunch this week.
The Lionesses legend was named Queen of the Jungle last November and on Monday (24.04.23), she got to catch up with her fellow ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ finalist when they met up at Zizzi in Chester.
Sharing a series of photos on Instagram, Jill wrote: “Always such a laugh with @_owenwarner thanks @wearezizzi for an amazing lunch – can every working day be like this one!(sic)”
But it wasn’t just a meeting for pleasure because the sportswoman and the ‘Hollyoaks’ star were also filming for Mental Health Foundation initiative they’re set to be involved in for Mental Health Awareness Week, of which details will be announced soon.
Owen previously praised his pal for getting him “the best” Christmas present when she got him a signed shirt from England footballer James Maddison while working in Qatar at the world cup after leaving the jungle.
He told BBC Radio Leicester: “That’s Jill all over for me – the fact she had so much to think about and she still got me a little Christmas present.
“To have that was incredible. When [I saw it], I almost screamed.
“It was the best present by far.”
The hunky actor had joked his mum could “bin” any gifts she had bought him because nothing would be as good as the piece of sporting memorabilia.
Showing off the top on his Instagram Story, he wrote at the time: “Jill Scott’s won Christmas – can’t believe she bagged this for me. Signed shirt from the biggest baller about.”
He then added in a short video: “How unreal is that? Jill has smashed it.”
Turning to his beloved mum, he told her: “Bin all the presents you’ve got me because Jill’s won. Just bin any presents you’ve got me.”

Royle Family star dies aged 82

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Royle Family’ star Peter Martin has died at the age of 82.
The beloved TV actor played Joe Carroll, neighbour to the Royles, in the BBC sitcom and also starred as Len Reynolds in ITV soap ‘Emmerdale’ from 2001 until 2007.
Peter’s death on Wednesday (26.04.23) was revealed by a friend who paid tribute to his lat pal in a moving post on Facebook.
Alongside a photo of the actor, the post read: “My friend, drinking partner, fishing buddy past away on Wednesday morning, very sad, many of you will know him from TV, RIP Peter Martin, we had some great laughs.”
Another tribute on the social media site read: “A true gent, will be so sadly missed. RIP Pete xx.”
While another post read: “My condolences to his Friends and family. R. I. P. Peter it was nice to share some laughter with you.”
Before joining ‘The Royle Family’ – which also starred Ricky Tomlinson, Ralf Little, Craig Cash, Sue Johnston and the late Caroline Aherne – in 1998, Peter had been a recognisable face on TV thanks to his portrayal of a confused customer in a series of adverts for Jewson Hardware.
As well as ‘Emmerdale’, Peter also played different characters in three stints on ‘Coronation Street’.
Other notable roles included portraying the fish shop owner in ‘First of the Summer Wine’ and parts in ‘All Creatures Great and Small’, ‘ChuckleVision and ‘Last of the Summer Wine’.
He also appeared alongside Ewan McGregor and Pete Postlethwaite in 1996 British comedy-drama ‘Brassed Off’ about the troubles faced by a colliery brass band, following the closure of their pit.

Toff set to dump co-star from I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’s main camp

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo is set to decide which of the ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ contestants is sent to Savannah Scrub.
The 28-year-old TV star – who won the ITV reality show in 2017 – has returned for the all-star spin-off series and she’s already been tasked with making the difficult decision of sending one of the contestants to the basic camp.
Toff’s decision will be revealed on Thursday (27.04.23), after the latest episode ended on a cliffhanger.
The TV personality returned to the ‘I’m A Celebrity’ format alongside former campmates Myleene Klass and ‘Coronation Street’ actor Andy Whyment.
Toff was thrown straight into the action, as she was given her first task and emerged with eight stars for the camp.
She subsequently headed to the main camp, where she’s set to deliver the bad news to one of the other contestants.
Meanwhile, before joining the show, Toff joked that she will “probably run a mile” when she sees Ant and Dec.
The TV star admitted she’ll be expecting the worst when the sees the show’s hosts.
She laughed: “Ant and Dec are normally coming with something ghastly. I will probably run a mile as it means they are going to tell me to do something awful.
“I am good at the mind-over-matter stuff but I find the physical trials hard. I can be quite tough on myself if I don’t do well in a trial.”
Despite this, Toff insisted she was still looking forward to the challenge.
She said: “The beautiful thing to be said of ‘I’m A Celebrity’ is the content is created all on your own accord. I love it so much. You can only be yourself in camp.”

Gino D’Acampo is returning to Italy for another travel series after quitting Road Trip

OHMYGOSSIP — Gino D’Acampo has landed a second series of ‘Gino’s Italy’.
The 46-year-old chef – who recently shocked fans by revealing he was quitting his ‘Road Trip’ show with Fred Sirieix and Gordon Ramsay – is working on a six part follow up ‘Secrets of the South’ for ITV as he explores Puglia and Basilicata regions and cooks up some classic dishes.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column: “It’s perfect timing for Gino. He can brush off recent controversies and get back to doing what he does best.
“Finding out about Italy’s hidden gems and bringing them to the British public is incredibly exciting for him.”
The series – which started last year with ‘Gino’s Italy: Like Mama Used To Make It’ – gives the cheeky star a chance to show viewers some of his homelands “hidden gems”.
He said: “Italians are proud of our history, but we also keep our secrets, especially when it comes to recipes.
“There is so much more to the country, and these regions, and I can’t wait to uncover some of those hidden gems and bring them to the viewers at home.”
There is some hope Gino and ‘Road Trip’ bosses can reach an agreement to keep him on the show with Gordon and Fred.
Last month, he revealed his decision “not to film any more” road trips, but insisted it was “nothing to do with Gordon or Fred”, noting their “friendship is very strong”.
He said in an Instagram video: “It’s just because we can’t get the dates together and sometimes when we do get the dates together sometimes they get changed and it causes a lot of problems for me because I have other stuff that I have to do.
“Personal problems as well because when I have to change things with my family it is very complicated and also because [of] contracts.”
Gino – who has sons Luciano, 21 and Rocco, 18, and nine-year-old daughter Mia with wife Jessica Stellina Morrison – explained that he made the decision to preserve his friendships.
He continued: “Because contracts start to become very complicated and very stressful, I personally value the friendship with Gordon and Fred so much that I would rather the friendship than arguments with the contract.
“So I have decided not to do it anymore because I want to be friends with the boys for many, many years ahead.”

EastEnders’ Roxy Mitchell to return from the dead as Rita Simons reprises role

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Simons is to reprise her role as dead ‘EastEnders’ character Roxy Mitchell.
The 46-year-old actress last appeared on screen as Roxy in January 2017 when the character and her siter Ronnie Mitchell (Sam Womack) died on Ronnie’s wedding day to Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).
Now, in some special scenes to air on Thursday (27.04.23), Roxy will appear as a figment of her daughter Amy Mitchell’s (Ellie Dadd) imagination when the school pupil is encouraged to open up about her emotions surrounding the loss of her mum during a therapy session.
Chris Clenshaw, EastEnders’ Executive Producer, added: “I’m thrilled to welcome the fabulous Rita back to the iconic role of Roxy Mitchell for these special scenes.
“Although the character was last seen on-screen in January 2017, Roxy still remains a fan favourite.
“We know our audiences will be thrilled at her short return as Amy seeks some all-important answers from her mum at this point in the storyline.”
Last week, Rita admitted she will “always be grateful” for her time on ‘EastEnders’.
She portrayed Roxy from 2007 until 2017 and worked alongside the likes of the late Dame Barbara Windsor – who played her aunt Peggy Mitchell – before taking on roles in musicals such as ‘Legally Blonde’ and ‘Hairspray’.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I had Barbara Windsor showing me the ropes, Larry Lamb, Steve McFadden, people who are so good at what they do. Of course you’re going to get typecast when you’ve done 10 years on a soap but I would take that negative because it’s worth it for everything I was taught.
“And of course I wouldn’t have got the theatre jobs I have if it hadn’t been for EastEnders, so I’m eternally grateful.”

James Gunn says Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 will make fans cry ‘tears of joy’

OHMYGOSSIP — James Gunn has insisted ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ will make people cry tears of “joy”.
The 56-year-old filmmaker – who is bringing his Marvel trilogy to an end with the upcoming blockbuster – admitted plenty of people have been left sobbing during screenings, but he claimed it’s not all doom and gloom.
He told Collider: “It depends on how easily you cry. I know that there’s been a lot of people crying in the screening, so I guess people cry.
“There’s a lot of crying happening. But it’s not all sad crying, there’s a lot of happy crying in the movie, there’s a lot of joy in the film.
“You know, everybody talks about the emotion, and it is emotional, but there’s a lot of joy.”
Gunn has helmed every movie in the ‘Guardians’ franchise since the first in 2014, and he recently admitted there is a “big relief” as the trilogy is coming to an end.
Speaking at a press conference at Le Bristol hotel in Paris, he said: “Over the past 11 years of my life, I think I have probably spent 60 percent of my time thinking about the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. So this has taken up my entire life.
“There is a weird situation where I just have to adjust everything about my world to be about something other than the Guardians, which is difficult.
“But it’s frankly a big relief also, to feel like we’ve finished this trilogy, and we finished it in a way that we’re really proud of, where all the characters get the dignity they deserve.”
Gunn teased that the third movie focuses heavily on genetically engineered raccoon bounty hunter Rocket – who is voiced by Bradley Cooper – who he says has been the “heart of this trilogy for me”.
He added: “It was really important to me, the reason why I chose to come back and do this movie, is because I felt a deep need to finish Rocket’s story, that’s what brought me to do it.”
Gunn is moving on to focus on creating a new DC Universe along with Peter Safran, with the pair being appointed co-chairmen and co-CEOs of DC Studios.

Sigourney Weaver won’t return to Alien role: ‘That ship has sailed’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sigourney Weaver will never reprise her role as ‘Alien’ character Ellen Ripley.
The 73-year-old actress first portrayed the character 44 years ago in Sir Ridley Scott’s iconic 1979 sci-fi horror movie, but she insists that ship has now “sailed”.
She said: “There are all kinds of younger actors taking this kind of role. And there was an ‘Alien’ [film] that I really wanted to do with Neill Blomkamp and we didn’t get to do that, but, you know, that ship has sailed.
“I’m very happy doing what I’m doing. I put in my time in space!”
Weaver went on to star as Ripley in 1986 movie ‘Aliens’, ‘Alien 3’ in 1992, and 1997’s ‘Alien: Resurrection’.
Blomkamp previously scripted an ‘Alien’ film at 20th Century Fox, but it didn’t get off the ground.
Last month, it was revealed the next instalment in the ‘Alien’ movie franchise is moving forward with a cast of young rising stars.
‘Don’t Breathe’ director Fede Alvarez is taking charge of the ninth film in the sci-fi series – which has the working title of ‘Alien: Romulus’ – with ‘The Craft: Legacy’ star Cailee Spaeny taking on a lead role.
She has been joined by David Jonsson – who made his feature film debut in British rom-com ‘Rye Lane’ – and Archie Renaux, who has appeared in ‘The Greatest Beer Run Ever’ and ‘Morbius’.
Spike Fearn – who has been seen in ‘The Batman’ and ‘Aftersun’ – and ‘Fish Tank’ star Aileen Wu are also set to star in the film.
Few details are known about the new ‘Alien’ offering, which has been written by Alvarez, but it’s believed the movie will focus on a group of young people living in a distant colony who find themselves under attack from the fearsome Xenomorph creatures made famous by the franchise.
In August, Weaver insisted she has no plans to retire.
She told Interview at the time: “Well, I do five projects coming out. I would hope to [not retire] because I probably enjoy it more now than ever. I’m fine that I might be the oldest person on the set.
“Yes, I always have to go through a period of, ‘Oh my god, it’s happening again.’ But then, I get the joy and the explosion of letting this person out to live. And it’s the most exhilarating thing in the world.”
