Maya Jama could end up being chatted up by ‘Love Island’ contestant Andre Furtado

OHMYGOSSIP — Maya Jama could end up being chatted up by ‘Love Island’ contestant Andre Furtado.
The 21-year-old business owner from Dudley said the show host is one of his dream women as he thinks she’s “amazing” and may target her once he’s in the villa on the ITV2 dating series.
He told the Daily Star: “Maya is absolutely stunning, she is the top of the top eye candy – amazing.
“I might give a chat up line or two, just a little. Because she is a very attractive woman inside and out.”
Andre added before heading onto the show, which starts on Monday (05.06.23) at 9pm, his ideal date scenario is taking a woman strawberry picking as part of a grand romantic plan.
He said: “I would love to go strawberry picking, I’d want to have a field spelt out in her name, then I’d have to ask her to be my girlfriend.
“So I’d like to plant a field full of strawberries.”
This summer’s ‘Love Island’ contestants include semi-pro footballer Tyrique Hyde, 24, from Essex, who – like former contestant Tasha Amber Ghouri, 24 – is deaf, with the sportsman lacking hearing in one ear.
He has marked his disability with a tattoo, and said ahead of going into the villa: “I’m deaf in my right ear. I’ve got a tattoo next to my left one that symbolises strength and power in my good one.”
Doncaster-born actress and social media creator Molly Marsh, 21, whose mum Janet has had parts in a series of soaps, is also part of the line-up.
Beautician Ruchee Gurung, 24, from Sutton, Bedford-born business development executive George Fensom, 24, as well as Catherine Agbaje, 22, a commercial real estate agent from Dublin, were also announced as among the first entrants into the villa this year.
French model Mehdi Edno, 26, is being tipped to the be this season’s Davide Sanclimenti, and Glaswegian model Ella Thomas, 23, has also signed up.
Their names were released on 29 May after Maya revealed on ‘Good Morning Britain’ viewers will choose who couples with who for the first time in the history of ‘Love Island’.
‘Love Island’ will air from 9pm on 5 June on ITV2 and ITVX.
On Saturday nights ITV2 will air a highlights show instead of the usual episode.

Holly Willoughby blasts ‘we gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth’ in ‘This Morning’ comeback

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby said “we gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth” as she returned to ‘This Morning’ amid the fallout from Phillip Schofield’s shock exit from the show.
The host, 42, was back co-fronting the ITV breakfast series on Monday (05.06.23) for the first time since 61-year-old Phillip’s departure on 26 May after it was revealed he had an affair with a much younger male colleague.
Holly added in a brief and emotional opening statement she felt “shaken, troubled, let down and worried”, adding it “feels very strange indeed” to be back on the show without him, before saying its team had “gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth”.
She said it was “equally hard to see the toll” the scandal has taken on Phillip, along with how it had affected others.
Holly added: “I hope that as we start this new chapter and get back to a place of warmth and magic… we can find hope in each other.
“We will continue to work hard every day to bring you the show that we love.”
She was hugged by her co-presenter for the day Josie Gibson, 38, who added they were working on keeping the show a “family”, with tearful Holly then concluding: “Exactly”, before the show got down to business as usual.
Holly was photographed arriving separately at the Television Centre in White City, London, ahead of her comeback episode.
Her return to presenting duties along with Gibson was confirmed at the end of Friday’s show, which was hosted by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.
Phillip told last week he fears he will be spat on in the street if he leaves his house amid the fallout from his affair, which happened while he was still married.
He told The Sun: “I do not know a time I will be able to walk out of the door.
“I don’t have any spirit. My friends tell me, ‘It will get better’. It won’t. Not now. Not this one.
“You watch all these layers of you slide away and slide away and slide away. The things that were dear to you.
“But I deserve it. It’s my fault. I deserve it.”
Phillip said he had never previously suffered abuse on the street, but asked about the prospect of being hit with it if he goes outside: “Are they spitting on me because I had an affair at work and lied about it?”
He added he was being supported by his daughters Molly, 30, and Ruby, 27, who he had with his wife of 30 years Stephanie Lowe years before he publicly came out as gay on ‘This Morning’ in February 2020.
Phillip also gave an interview with the BBC on Thursday (01.06.23) in which he insisted he had not groomed his lover, who he first got in contact with when he was aged 15.

Dermot Mulroney was glad to be able to study archive footage for Shooting Stars

OHMYGOSSIP — Dermot Mulroney was pleased that he was able to study archive footage for ‘Shooting Stars’.
The 59-year-old star features in the cast of the sports film about the high school basketball career of NBA icon LeBron James as coach Keith Dambrot and made the most of the chance he had to watch videos of his character to bring him to life on screen.
Dermot told ComicBook.com: “It’s rare that I played a character where there’s good YouTube footage of him.
“I made a lot of use of a little deep dive on some of Dambrot’s game and training sessions and stuff like that I was able to see. I did my best to try and bring some of his characteristic physicality to the role. I think you see bits of it in the film for sure.”
The movie was filmed in LeBron’s home state of Ohio and Dermot felt it added further authenticity to the project.
The ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ star said: “Even the script itself had such a strong connection to the community that the story takes place in.
“The production insisted on shooting it in Akron and in around Cleveland, Ohio, so that brought another level of authenticity and connection to the original story because the people there were actually shooting in the high schools these games took place in.
“They remember this storyline like it was yesterday, of course. It was an incredible experience to add the human factor from the community into the making of this movie. There’s no AI in those (arena) stands or anything. It became a communal event making this movie.”

Oscar Isaac wants Pedro Pascal to star in a Spider-Verse film

OHMYGOSSIP — Oscar Isaac wants Pedro Pascal to have a role in the next ‘Spider-Verse’ film.
The 44-year-old actor features as Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099 in the cast of the new animated superhero movie ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ and has suggested that ‘The Last of Us’ star should voice a character in the next flick.
Talking to British GQ magazine, Oscar said: “Let’s find something for him. He should be a Spider-Person, like a cranky, old Spider-Person.”
Isaac also discussed voicing Miguel O’Hara and how he admires the “unique” traits of his alter ego.
The ‘Dune’ star said: “He’s got this particular unique quality to him, but there are lots of things about him that I think are very surprising and make him such his own thing.
“The fangs and claws and this violence that’s simmering underneath at all times? He’s just a really interesting character.”
Oscar reflected on his experience of voice acting compared to more conventional acting work.
He explained: “You only have your voice to be able to express a lot of what’s going on. There’s more collaboration involved because it’s your voice, it’s the animators, it’s the design, it’s all these things coming together to create the character.
“There’s something beautifully communal about putting that together and just adding one element and then seeing it all come together. It’s just such a beautiful work of art.”
Oscar continued: “The art in this thing is so incredible, but specifically with Miguel. The way that he transforms visually and becomes more feral as things fall apart, I just thought, was so, so amazing.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Phillip Schofield is living like a recluse as he fears he will be spat on in the street if he leaves his house.
The scandal-hit former ITV presenter, 61, who announced he was leaving the broadcaster last weekend after details about his relationship with a much younger male colleague who worked with him on ‘This Morning’ emerged, made the admission in a long interview with The Sun, the first part of which was published on Thursday. (01.06.23)
He said about his fears of going outside in the wake of news of his affair emerging: “I do not know a time I will be able to walk out of the door.
Phillip added: “I am getting by hour by hour. I have got my girls and my friends.”
He said he had deleted all apps from his phone and silenced notifications as social media has been filled with rumours about his affair.
Phillip added about social platforms: “Why would I ever, ever go back there?”
After announcing he was leaving all his ITV roles, he has also been dropped from brand deals and seen his wine range and collection of Boots products pulled from shelves.
Phillip also gave an interview with the BBC on Thursday (01.06.23) in which he insisted he had not groomed his lover, who he first got in contact with when he was aged 15.

“There are accusations of all sorts of things. It never came across that way (an abuse of power) because we’d become mates. I don’t know about that.”

Phillip Schofield: ‘We didn’t jump the queue!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Phillip Schofield will “forever be associated” with Queuegate.
The 61-year-old star – who sensationally quit his long-running role as host on ‘This Morning’ after 21 years last week before admitting that he had had an extramarital affair with a younger male colleague – was thought to have jumped the queue to see the Queen lying-in-state last September along with former co-host Holly Willoughby and while he admitted it was a “bad thing” to do, explained that it “doesn’t matter now” because he isn’t planning to go out anymore amid the scandal.
He told The Sun newspaper: “So we are forever now (associated)… it doesn’t matter now because I’m not going to go out any more … but forever now, you go to the butchers and someone says, ‘Oh do you want to (skip ahead)…?’ ‘No, no, I’ll stand here.’ I’m serious. I don’t ever throw anyone under the bus, but I have a very good instinct for these things and I knew it was a bad thing to do. But there is no reason that the justification that was given to me, shouldn’t have been true.
“You are journalists, loosely, and you are covering a massive story. Therefore I want you to cover it. As indeed, 700 other journalists did exactly the same thing.
“There was no jumping of the queue. We went and spoke to everyone in the queue. We went out and met everyone in the queue then walked all the way around the building, and went into the press centre with your accreditation.
“That got messed up because the production team didn’t want to give either of our emails out, so they used work emails which obviously didn’t match up with who we are.”
The former ‘Dancing on Ice’ host went on to question why it was himself and Holly who were “singled out” as alleged queue jumpers as he recalled that he and Holly were “shell-shocked” by the reaction.
He added: “My face (says it all) – ‘we shouldn’t be here’. It didn’t feel right. What was sad was it wrecked what I wanted to do on the day. I wanted to go and stand at the end of my road and watch her go past as she went down to Windsor. Within seconds there was the photo of the two of us. Why us? Why not all of the other people? Why single us out?
“We were texting each other backwards and forwards afterwards. I said to Holly, ‘I knew I should have gone with my gut,’ and she said, ‘I know’. What are the two things you don’t screw up? The Queen and a queue.”

‘I’ve lost my best friend!’ Phillip Schofield no longer speaks to Holly Willoughby

OHMYGOSSIP — Phillip Schofield no longer speaks to Holly Willoughby.
The 61-year-old star had fronted ‘This Morning’ with Holly, 41, for 14 years when he sensationally quit the ITV daytime show amid rumours of a feud before revealing that he had had an extramarital affair with a younger male colleague and insisted that his former co-star had no knowledge of the fling as he claimed that it is the media “witch hunt” that has torn their friendship apart.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I’ve lost my best friend. I let her down (Holly). I let that entire show down. I let the viewers down. Holly did not know (about the romance). And she was one of the first texts that I sent, to say, ‘I am so, so sorry that I lied to you’. She didn’t reply and I understand why she didn’t reply, as well. So yeah. If anyone is in any way linking Holly to this; that is absolutely, wholly untrue. I had no feud with Holly. She is my TV sister. But quite rightly, when I am in the middle of a s**t show with bad press over something where I have done nothing wrong — in fact, I did everything right — it’s a witch hunt. And that strips that (friendship) away.”
Phil – who also hosted ‘Dancing on Ice’ with Holly for a number of years but quit the broadcaster altogether following the revelations – went on to add that he “understands” his former co-star’s decision to take a break away from the show as he lambasted the situation as “vicious game” that was becoming “bigger” than the show itself.
He added: “Quite rightly, she is going to take a step back and think, ‘I have to step back from this’, and I understand that completely.
“As we see now, this is a vicious game and the last thing you want is for something to stick on you.
“It was becoming bigger than the people we had on the show. I understand that.”

Dwayne Johnson returns to the Fast and Furious franchise

OHMYGOSSIP — Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is returning to the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise.
The 51-year-old actor has confirmed that he’ll reprise the role of Luke Hobbs after ending his long-running feud with Vin Diesel.
The wrestler-turned-actor said on Twitter: “So I am 100 percent confirming to you guys around the world that yes, it is true. Hobbs is back. Hobbs is back in the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise.”
Dwayne subsequently discussed his high-profile feud with Vin, 55.
The Hollywood star explained: “Despite having our differences, me and Vin, we’ve been like brothers for years. And despite having our differences … when you lead with the idea of … number one, resolve. But also, you just think about the future and you think about plans that are much bigger than ourselves. Those plans are the bigger build-outs.
“Those plans are the North Star. As I always like to say, the North Star is always my guiding light in whatever endeavour or opportunity that I’m in, that I’m passionate about. I always keep a North star in my clarity and in my focus.
“In this case, the North Star is the franchise that we love. The North Star are characters that we love. And the North Star are fans that we love. So, when you add all of that up, it’s really not a hard decision to make.”
Meanwhile, Vin previously admitted to taking a “tough love” approach with Dwayne in order to get the best out of him.
The actor told Men’s Health magazine: “We had to get there and sometimes, at that time, I could give a lot of tough love. Not Fellini-esque, but I would do anything I’d have to do in order to get performances in anything I’m producing.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Holland is eager to shoot another Spider-Man movie.
The 27-year-old actor has starred as the iconic character since 2016, and Tom has revealed that he’s keen to reprise the role in a new film.
Asked about the possibility of making another Spider-Man movie, Tom told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I think as long as we can do justice to Peter Parker. As long as we can keep elevating and making the films better and making them mean more, then I’ll be there.
“I’d be stupid to say that I wouldn’t be the luckiest kid alive if I got to do it again, there’s stuff going on, but we’ll have to just wait and see what happens.”
Tom previously admitted to being unsure about his future after starring in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ in 2021.
The actor conceded that the film could’ve been “the perfect storybook ending” for his incarnation of Spider-Man.
Speaking about the future of the franchise, Tom told The Hollywood Reporter: “There are far cleverer people than me that have been given the task of writing future movies and coming up with new ideas. And as always, I’ll be very eager to see what they come up with.

Tom also revealed that he’s keen to “explore” new challenges.
The actor – who stars alongside his girlfriend Zendaya in the Spider-Man movies – said: “I would love to explore and try out new things with different characters.”

The Chase star Anne Hegerty reveals the one subject she is ‘not very good at’

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Hegerty is “not very good” with her football knowledge.
The 64-year-old quizzer is known as The Governess on the hit ITV1 teatime game show ‘The Chase’ and possesses a wide range of knowledge on a variety of topics but admitted as she revealed that the game show is to air a Soccer Aid special with celebrities that she doesn’t particularly follow the sport, unlike her co-stars.
Speaking on ITV1’s ‘Good Morning Britain’, she said: “We are going to be doing a Soccer Aid special in a week’s time, on the 9 June. We have Dermot O’Leary and three people who I didn’t actually recognise. I don’t do football. I’m not really very good at football. I don’t really do trivia, I’m the only chaser who doesn’t really have her own football team. Everyone else they know exactly who they follow and I just don’t. I can’t give too much away [about the special] but let’s just say there is a lot of money involved!”
Outside of ‘The Chase’, the former ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ star – who will also face footballer Kyle Walker, sports broadcaster Lynsey Hipgrave and ‘The Last Leg’ host Alex Brooker in the upcoming charity special- has become a regular face in pantomime season and even teased that a role in a potential sitcom penned by the quiz show’s scriptwriter Adam Bostock-Smith could be on the cards.
She said: “I like doing a bit of acting, I’ve been doing panto since 2014 and I’m going to be in panto again this Christmas in Chesterfield at the Winding Wheel Theatre doing ‘Aladdin’ so that’s good. The show is called ‘Gammon’ and the idea is it is these two gammony middle-aged brothers getting up to hijinks and I am the housekeeper, I am the only sane person on the show and it currently exists as one script and five outlines and if some production company or network, call us. Obviously!”

Phillip Schofield: ‘My daughters are the only reason I am still alive!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Phillip Schofield has been left feeling suicidal since “losing everything” amid his ‘This Morning’ exit.
The 61-year-old star – who has daughters Molly, 30, and 27-year-old Ruby with estranged wife Stephanie Lowe – sensationally quit the ITV1 daytime magazine show after 21 years last week shortly before he admitted to having an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger male colleague and insisted that his daughters are the only reason he is still alive as he compared his intense media scrutiny to that of former ‘Love Island’ host Caroline Flack, who took her own life in 2020 at the age of 40.
Speaking in his first television appearance since quitting ‘This Morning’, he told the BBC: “I have brought myself down. I am done. I have to talk about television in the past tense which breaks my heart. But it continues and it is relentless and it is day after day after day after day and if you do that, then don’t think that is going to have the most catastrophic effect on someone’s mind…do you want me to die? Because that’s where I am. I have lost everything.
“My girls saved my life. They said last week…they hadn’t left me for a moment, they’d been by my side every moment because they’re scared to let me out of their sight. What is that like for daughters to have to go through something like that? And they said to me ‘Don’t you dare do this on our watch, we’re supposed to be looking after you!’ And if my girls hadn’t been there, I wouldn’t be here because I don’t see a future. And so how much do you want a man to take, and are you truly only happy when he’s dead? This is how Caroline Flack felt. ”
The former ‘Dancing on Ice’ host went on to acknowledge that he had “done wrong” in starting up the affair – which he alleges began in his dressing room when the colleague was 20 years old – but slammed the coverage of the story as “constant” and has been unable to look at
“I know I’ve done something wrong and I’ve owned up to doing something wrong but it’s constant. A mate was texting me saying ‘What is the agenda? When is this going to stop?’ Someone said I was being treated like Jack the Ripper. But I haven’t looked at a single thing, that would be the final push. I haven’t looked like a newspaper item, I’ve deleted all the apps. But people have said ‘Can’t believe you’re being painted out to be this person. We know you, we love you. Please love the person we know you are.’ But still, it comes. It is utterly relentless.”

The 26-year-old actress made her MCU debut as Kate Bishop/Hawkeye in the 2021 TV series ‘Hawkeye’ and cannot wait to revisit the character on the big screen.
Asked about a Marvel return by Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Hailee said: “I mean, the question from you and I both. Yeah, I’m certainly chomping at the bit. It’s been a minute since I’ve… it’s always so funny, because I feel like a few months can go by and I feel like I’ve been doing nothing, you know what I mean? I’m like, ‘It’s been so long since…’
“It’s been a while since ‘Dickinson’ ended and since ‘Hawkeye’ came out, but I am so ready to get back at it. I am itching to be on set again with people that do what I do, and love what we do, and I have such a sense of belonging when I’m on set, and a sense of home, and I just love it.

‘I feel like a victim of hate!’ Phillip Schofield says homophobia is behind backlash over affair

OHMYGOSSIP — Phillip Schofield feels like a “victim of hate” amid his affair scandal.
The 61-year-old star has daughters Molly, 30, and 27-year-old Ruby with now-estranged wife Stephanie Lowe but came out as gay in February 2020 and after quitting his long-running role as host on ‘This Morning’ last week, confirmed that he had had an “unwise but not illegal” sexual relationship with a younger male colleague but now feels as if he has been the target of “non-factual gossip.”
Speaking in his first televised interview since he quit ITV, he told the BBC: “I spoke to my therapist about this because I had a wonderful marriage, have a wonderful marriage. Not brilliant right now, but [I have] an incredibly supportive wife with two beautiful children, who had the most amazing time as a family. Us four is who we are.
“And something started to trip me up and I couldn’t figure out what it was. My therapist said I could become aware and things change. Over a period of time, it was a kernel it grew bigger and bigger and bigger until I was mentally struggling. Deeply mentally struggling. And my relationship with my colleague coincided with that moment. That is not an excuse, I make no excuse. I think this interview is not about other [gay] experiences. It had got to the point where I weighed nine and a half stone, it was utterly torturing me. I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t eat and I wanted to be brave.
“I’d spoken through it with the family, who have all been incredible.”
“I feel a victim of hate, after the event. And I think probably there will be a lot of people watching this thinking ‘How dare you?’. It would be easier for me to say that I don’t feel like a victim. But what I feel a victim of is spun areas of non-factual information of gossip and nastiness. I don’t look anymore, I’m not in television anymore. I’m glad that it’s not a lie anymore but if I could’ve taken the whole brunt of this without an innocent man being hauled alongside then fair play. But the fact that an innocent man, his friends, his family, his association is questioned because you can say anything online. ”
The former ‘Dancing on Ice’ host – who is thought to have met the young colleague when he was a teenager but insisted that no physical activity occurred between them until the young man was over the age of consent – went on to add that had he had been supported by a “very prominent” public figure and insisted that sexual attraction in different age groups does exist as he claimed the core issue is “predominant homophobia.”
He added: “It’s been a very, very fine mesh of friends and it’s interesting to see who came through and it’s also interesting to see the new friends that I’ve made because there are a lot of people in my world who have reached out and been amazing. One very prominent public figure phoned me and said ‘I wanted to check that you were okay. I have never seen such homophobia in my life.’
“If it was a heterosexual relationship then it would have been a bit of nudge-nudge, wink-wink but if it’s a gay relationship then suddenly it raises eyebrows and it’s wrong. People do find each other attractive in different age groups, it does happen. But it’s the mere fact that this is so gigantic, and I appreciate the workplace and the history but it’s the fact that it it is so massive is predominantly homophobia.”

‘There is a mutual loathing’ James May speaks out on relationship with his Grand Tour co-stars

OHMYGOSSIP — James May thinks there is a “mutual loathing” between himself and his ‘Grand Tour’ co-stars.
The 60-year-old presenter appears on the Prime Video motoring series alongside Jeremy Clarkson, 63, and Richard Hammond , 53, and explained that if they were all in the same year at school they all would have been in “rival gangs” but that is exactly what makes the “chemistry” between the three of them work.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, he told stand-in host Ranvir Singh: “People talk about the chemistry of us three and what is the secret and to be honest we don’t know. It’s a complete mystery to us. A large part of it is if we were at school together and we all were the same age – and we’re not – but if we were in the same year, we wouldn’t be in the same gangs. We’d be in slightly rival gangs so that’s what makes it work. It’s not that we don’t like each other but we wind each other up. I’d be in the geeky nerdy gang and would do things like build bicycles and play with cameras, Hammond would be doing something like the Scouts or the Cadets and Jeremy would be in something really nauseating like the young farmers.
“We would automatically be at loggerheads and that’s why it works. If you try to recreate what the three of us have, they do it with people who basically like each other and that doesn’t work. It’s got to be driven by mutual loathing. The only reason I crashed in the tunnel – which is a sad lapse of judgment on my part – is because I was trying to win.”
The former ‘Top Gear’ star is also by his nickname of Captain Slow and joked that he “doesn’t mind” the title so much because some people might appreciate it.
He quipped: “That came from, I think it was one of the researchers in the ‘Top Gear’ days but I don’t mind. Some people like a man who can go slow.”
