“I’ve just come off all the steroids I was on, which made me look like a bloody balloon. I’m feeling better from that.”
But James insisted it is “more difficult” for his wife Nadine Lamont-Brown to watch him battling terminal cancer.
He said: “The cancer gets into your head and sometimes you can’t stand noise.
“At the moment, I have got cancer fatigue, which makes you very tired.
“Some days I might feel sorry for myself. I feel sorry for my wife really. It’s more difficult for her.”

Hugo Andre used his father as inpsiration for movie character

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugo Andre’s ‘Makeup’ character was inspired by his dad.
The actor decided to write, direct, and star in the leading role of Sacha in the new drama film that follows an introverted French chef who moves to London after hearing the story of his friend’s transgender sibling but ultimately his character was based on his father because he had also started off as a chef abroad.
He told ScreenRant: “Essentially, one of my best friends has a sister, who was originally his brother. And I remember my friend speaking a lot of the time about that transitional process for them, and what that was like for the family, and what that was like for his sister. It got me thinking about different ideas and about that moment of realization—that moment of identity crisis, where you want to start thinking about your identity more—even before the transitioning and the surgeries and all the rest of it. More just the idea of, “What is it like to have that feeling?”
“Do you tell the world about it? Or do you try and keep it to yourself? How do you process that? So I initially came up with that idea based on my friendship, and then I started bringing in different ideas and inspirations, for example, the character of Sacha, who was played by me, was inspired by my dad, because he is an interesting character. He was a French guy around my age, he was 23, I think, at the time, and he came to London from France, and he became a chef.”
Hugo- whose character ends up living in the home of a stockbroker who has a secret life of a drag queen (Will Masheter) and is forced into an unlikely friendship as a result went to add that his dad would move around rented rooms like Sacha and “exaggerated” various aspects of his father for the script.
He said: “So he was a chef in London, and he was moving around renting rooms, etc. I took inspiration from his character. He had an issue with his hand as well—a hand condition thing. My dad isn’t quite as awkward as I made the character out to be. I exaggerated that. My dad is actually a bit more rambunctious than that. But I just thought it’d be interesting to have these polar opposite characters—to have Dan as somebody that was quite extroverted and friendly and open, and then have Sacha, who was introverted and quirky and weird.
‘Makeup’ is out now on all digital platforms.

Ex EastEnders star Danielle Harold got headaches checked after Lola’s death

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘EastEnders’ star Danielle Harold says her character’s brain tumour death inspired her to get her headaches checked out.
The 31-year-old actress – who recently departed Albert Square when her character met her maker – admitted the fate of the 26-year-old hairdresser reminded her not to ignore her pains.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “The show reminded me to get checked. It’s raising awareness.
“If you’ve got headaches or sharp pains, they’re the first signs of a brain tumour so go and get it checked.
“It’s worth it. It’s not worth ignoring. That’s a story I’ve heard a lot … the headaches keep coming and people don’t get checked until it was too late.”
Danielle – who recently took home a TRIC Award in the Best Soap Category for the storyline – labelled the reaction to her performance “amazing”.
She said: “The response afterwards has just been amazing. I get a lot of messages – normally it’s lovely to get so many messages, but in this case it’s really not because it shows how many people are affected by cancer.
“They tell me their stories, really close personal stories. I read everything but I can’t reply to everything.
“You are that character, so you do take a lot on your shoulders, but you want to help everyone involved.
“On the street, people feel like it’s a comfortable place for them to share because I know so much about cancer now after all the research.”
The star shared how BBC bosses gave her “so much help” during the plot, and she plans to keep in touch with her ex-castmates, like Jamie Borthwick and Patsy Kensit, who returned for Lola’s funeral.
Danielle said: “There is so much help at work. I’m so lucky that it’s not me. That gets me through.
“But the show has been an amazing support.
“Me and Patsy are going for dinner soon. I will keep in touch with all the cast.”

Dennis Wise’s daughter Amber ‘heading to Love Island for Casa Amor’

OHMYGOSSIP — Dennis Wise’s daughter Amber is set to appear on ‘Love Island’.
The “laid-back” 19-year-old star is expected to enter the Casa Amor stage of the ITV2 dating show – which sees either the male or female group of Islanders sent to another villa, while a group of the opposite sex join them and the others back at the main villa – and the former Wimbledon legend, 56, is said to have given Amber his “full support”.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Amber will really stand out from the crowd on ‘Love Island’ and jumped at the chance to take part.
“She is very low key and laid back but won’t be taking any nonsense. Amber is incredibly close to her dad and she has his full support in taking part.
“Naturally, it can be awkward for a dad knowing his daughter could be hooking up with someone on TV, but Amber is looking for real love and wants to make her dad proud.”
Amber – who is a graphic communications student at the University of Arts London – is following in the footsteps of last year’s contestant Gemma Owen, 20, the eldest child of Liverpool FC legend Michael Owen.
Gemma previously told the Times newspaper: “There can be a stigma when you do a show like ‘Love Island’. But there are amazing opportunities too if you can just be yourself.
“I wanted to do it, but only if I could just be me: plain-spoken and real. I am good at not showing my feelings if I have to.
“I got to watch up close how my dad handled things when football finished.”
“Normal and grounded is good.
“Success can quickly change or fade. Family, friends and, for me, horses, are for ever.”

Succession star Brian Cox’s new role is a ‘celebration of humanity’

OHMYGOSSIP — Brian Cox thinks his new movie is a “celebration of humanity.”
The 77-year-old actor stars opposite Kate Beckinsale in the new drama ‘Prisoner’s Daughter’ which follows a cancer-stricken- man’s attempts to reconnect with his estranged daughter after he is released from prison and explained that he doesn’t have to do “too much” to ignite the presence of an audience because his new role is a “gift.”
He told MovieWeb: “It’s one of the things that really annoys me about belief systems and like God and religion, Catholicism, Judaism, Islamism. It takes you away, it says, ‘Oh, it’s over there. It’ll all be happening over there. Finally, we’ll get up there.’ And I go, ‘It’s b*******! It’s happening in here!’ And the power is in our imagination. It’s in our way that we can summon things, and also in our memory, what we hold with our past, the people who we’ve lost along the way, and how I know all of the people that I love, are still with me. They’re still here. They’re still present.
“And I think that you don’t have to do too much to ignite that for an audience.
“You just have to be present, and be omnipresent. And that’s the gift of a part like Max, is that you’re omnipresent.
“So you can really allow the audience to do the job, to do their part. It’s a celebration of humanism. It’s a celebration of our humanity, and the ups and downs of our humanity, and we don’t do that enough. We don’t. We do it without thinking, but we don’t realize how important that is and how it’s so much part of our lives, because of all the other stuff.”
The ‘Succession’ star went on to add that he has been “very lucky” with the roles that have come to him in recent years and that he has been able to pick and choose between various scripts.
He said: “The roles choose themselves, they come along with two or three scripts and then one just goes [snaps] that’s the one. And I’ve been very lucky.”
‘Prisoner’s Daughter’ is out now on Prime Video.

Sarah Jayne Dunn wants to be a Coronation Street baddie

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Jayne Dunn would love to be a ‘Coronation Street’ baddie.
The ex ‘Hollyoaks’ star admitted that being on the “iconic” ITV1 soap – which would be her first return to TV after she was booted off the Channel 4 show over her OnlyFans account – would be “ideal” because it is really near her house, and she would want to be a “villain”.
The 41-year-old actress told the Daily Star newspaper: “’Corrie’ would be ideal because it’s just down the road, and I love ‘Corrie’ as well, it would be great, wouldn’t it?
“Can ‘Corrie’ give me a call? I mean, it’s such an iconic show, isn’t it? And I’m a northern girl so it fits the bill really, doesn’t it?
“I think I’d want to play a very different character though. If I’m going from a soap to a soap, I think I’d want to be a bit of a villain with a dark past.
“Maybe a femme fatale – that would be really cool. I could be a female Phil Mitchell – without the bald head though please.”
Sarah – who has six-year-old son Stanley with her personal trainer husband Jonathan Smith – also gushed that she was “desperate” to do the BBC One Latin and ballroom competition ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, and would consider ITV1 show ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
She said: “I’ve been asked to do loads of reality shows, but I can’t tell you them.
“I’d do ‘I’m A Celeb’ I think, well I say that, I’m scared of heights, and I’m not very good with spiders, but you have to lie with that show, so you know what? I take that back.
“I’m great with heights, and I’m amazing with spiders. I’d do ‘I’m A Celeb’ and ‘Strictly’ is another one that I’m desperate to do, I’m desperate to do ‘Strictly’.”

Angela Wynter returning to EastEnders

OHMYGOSSIP — Angela Wynter is returning to ‘EastEnders’.
The 65-year-old star will reprise her role as Yolande Trueman, the estranged wife of Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker), this summer after six years away from Albert Square.
Angela said: “I have been really looking forward to playing her again and have had a beautiful time on set so far.
“I can’t thank the cast and crew enough for the warm welcome back.”
‘EastEnders’ boss Chris Clenshaw added: “I’m thrilled to welcome the immensely talented Angela back to the role of Yolande Trueman.
“Although we haven’t seen Yolande for some years, her departure from the Square and the breakdown of her marriage to Walford’s living legend, Patrick, left some unfinished business between the pair.
“We therefore thought it was important to explore a reunion between the two. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her back!”
Yolande was a Walford resident from 2003 to 2008, and then briefly returned to Albert Square in 2017.
The news comes after it was confirmed that Michelle Collins’ character Cindy Beale returned from the dead on ‘EastEnders earlier this month, 25 years after she had seemingly been killed off.
Michelle said: “For over 25 years I’ve constantly been asked ‘are you going back’ and now finally I can say I am!

Adam Woodyatt is also reprising his role as Cindy’s ex-husband Ian Beale, and Thomas Law is returning as the pair’s on-screen son Peter Beale, after initially portraying the role from 2006 to 2010.

Jodie Turner-Smith joins Tron: Ares cast

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Turner-Smith has joined the cast of ‘Tron: Ares’.
The 36-year-old actress will appear alongside Jared Leto, Evan Peters and Greta Lee in the third film in the ‘Tron’ franchise, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The motion picture is tipped to start shooting in August in Vancouver if there isn’t a SAG strike.
Joachim Ronning is to direct the movie, in which Leto will star as lead character Ares, a manifestation of the Tron project.
In January, it was revealed Leto had signed up to star in the third film in the franchise, 13 years after the sequel, ‘Tron: Legacy’, was released.
It starred the original 1982 film’s lead actor Jeff Bridges alongside Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde.
‘Tron: Legacy’ hit cinemas 28 years after the original film, which told the story of a computer hacker who is transported into a computer application called the Grid and forced to take part in challenges.
The sequel was directed by Joseph Kosinski, but plans for him to helm the third instalment were scrapped in 2015 after years of development.
A further attempt to revive the franchise again in 2020, with director Garth Davis in charge, also floundered before getting off the ground with a push from Leto, who is also listed among the third film’s producers, alongside Emma Ludbrook and Jeffrey Springer.

Jordana Brewster’s Fast X stunts

OHMYGOSSIP — Jordana Brewster loves doing her own stunts.
The 43-year-old actress has played Mia Toretto in the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise for over two decades and jumped at the opportunity to do her own stunts in the movies.
She told Yahoo Life: “The more physical it is, the more fun it is for me. When you’re working with a stunt team, it’s almost like working with a dance troupe. It’s so meticulously choreographed and planned. … To be able to be healthy enough to land the choreography and to do it myself versus having someone do it for me… I want to keep doing that.”
Jordana also spoke about her joy at being part of the franchise, 22 years after the release of the original ‘The Fast and the Furious’ and she has loved “evolving” with her castmates.
She said: “When I see, like, the OG Fast and Furious. I’m like, ‘Oh, my gosh, we do look very different.’ But in a really cool way, you know, because we’re evolving. I don’t really have that many qualms with aging, because the actresses I admire the most are all in their 50s and they look unbelievable … They’ve been through it and their histories are much, much more rich. So it shouldn’t just be about, you know, how you look.”
‘Fast X’, the latest movie in the series, also stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Brie Larson, Rita Moreno and Jason Momoa.

Molly Marsh is returning to Love Island

OHMYGOSSIP — Molly Marsh is returning to ‘Love Island’.
Just one week after being dumped from the main villa – when Kady McDermott opted to couple up with her partner Zachariah Noble – Molly is set for a shock return to the show in Casa Amor.
An insider told The Sun: “It’s going to be the most shocking twist yet because the cast have no idea it’s coming – filming starts tomorrow and it’ll be on screen this weekend.
“This year will be explosive as there are barely any solid couples and nobody is official yet. Heads will be turned as the Casa Amor cast are the hottest one yet. Fans won’t want to miss it.”
Molly, 21, previously admitted she would wait for Zachariah on the outside, and she regrets not telling him that moments before she had to leave the ITV2 dating show.
She said: “I suppose I do feel a bit silly. I’d hope I was still in his mind but I don’t know if I am anymore.
“Zach and I spoke very quickly, we literally hugged each other. I wish I did say more to him, we hardly said anything to each other.
“That’s one thing I regret. It’s frustrating.”
However, she was shocked to see him try to crack on with Kady two days after she left the villa but was happy to see him getting rebuffed.
She said: “Seeing him now cracking on with Kady, I would’ve thought that I was more important than after two days wanting to go straight in for the kiss – that’s a lot quite soon.
“He’s kind of got to do this, he’s in there and he can’t just sit and wait for me.
“But I do think it was quite funny and karma has come around that Kady pied him.
“I think it was what he needed.”

Adam Thomas signs up for Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Thomas has signed up for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 34-year-old ‘Waterloo Road’ star is set to compete in the BBC dance show and joked that he wants to experience the programme’s infamous curse.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “After two decades on screen and, as one of the Thomas brothers, he instantly brings a huge fanbase. That’s what ‘Strictly’ bosses love.
“Producers also see him as someone who can fill the young hunk role, which is important and often sees them pick soap stars.”
Adam married Caroline Daly six years ago and the couple have daughter Elsie-Rose, five, and son Teddy, eight, together.
Speaking previously about rumours of him joining ‘Strictly’, he quipped: “Bring it all on. I love a bit of glitz and glam. I just want to experience the ‘Strictly’ curse.”
The so-called ‘Strictly’ curse refers to individuals taking part in the show who are already in relationships, and who end up finding romance with fellow participants.
Speaking previously about it, host Claudia Winkleman told Digital Spy: “I understand, it’s very intense. I don’t believe in the curse, but I think lots of people have come in single and they might have met somebody or had a little romance.
“It’s intoxicating, Strictly, because you’re all part of this extraordinary juggernaut. So I don’t think people fall in love with people, they might just love the experience.”

Mark Labbett wants to join Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett wants to do ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 57-year-old ‘The Chase’ star revealed he would like to sign up for the BBC dance show, now that he has lost weight.
He told The Sun: “I really, really, really would like to do ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. Now we’ve got the weight down I’d love to do that.
“I’d love my own football game show. And if the good folks at ITV see fit to hand me one, I‘d grab it with both hands.”
Mark split from his wife Katie – with whom he shares son, Laurence – in 2020 but has gone on to find love with presenter Hayley Palmer, 41.
He said: “Obviously I’m a little bit older than her, but I think it depends on who you’re with. I’d argue I’m a very childish 57.”
Speaking about their first date, he said: “I can tell you what the capital of Estonia is — Tallinn — but what does it mean when that pretty girl fires you that funny half-smile?
“I can’t read women with the aid of a road map. I am utterly useless.
“At the end of the evening I was going, ‘I really like her but I can’t pick up if she likes me or not’.
“So I thought, let’s take refuge in honesty and said, ‘I really like you, is there any chance of another date?’”
