‘I don’t see that’: Quentin Tarantino dashes fans’ Kill Bill 3 hopes

OHMYGOSSIP — Quentin Tarantino “doesn’t see” ‘Kill Bill: Volume 3’ happening.
The 60-year-old legendary director has shot down the possibility of making a third movie in the franchise, despite many fans wanting Tarantino to do so and cast leading lady Uma Thurman’s daughter Maya Hawke in the movie.
According to Deadline, he told Flemish newspaper De Morgen: “I don’t see that. My last film is about a film critic, a male critic. And he plays in the 70s.”
In March, it was revealed Tarantino’s final film will be titled ‘The Movie Critic’, which is set in Los Angeles.
Tarantino has repeatedly insisted that he will retire after making his 10th feature film and he is determined to go out in style.
Last month, ‘Stranger Things’ actress Maya Hawke, 24, hinted a third ‘Kill Bill’ could become a possibility once talk goes quiet about it potentially being made.
When Maya was asked by fans on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’ what it would take for Quentin Tarantino to make ‘Kill Bill Volume 3’ with her mum Uma Thurman, 53, the actress replied: “I think that he really loves talking about the idea of making a ‘Volume 3’.
“So actually what I think it would take is everyone not talking about it for long enough that he gets annoyed that no one is asking him for it anymore, and then he’ll be like now I’m going to show ’em that they want it.”
In February 2022, Uma admitted she didn’t see ‘Kill Bill: Volume 3’ happening anytime soon.
Thurman – who is known for her starring role as Beatrix “The Bride” Kiddo in the first two instalments – told Collider: “I can’t really tell you anything about it. I mean it has been discussed over the years. There was real thought about it happening, but very long ago.”

‘I was shocked’: Love Island’s Tink Reading left ‘flabbergasted’ by Montel McKenzie after Casa Amor

OHMYGOSSIP — Tink Reading was “90 per cent sure” she would be picked to remain on ‘Love Island’ during the Casa Amor recoupling.
The 26-year-old project manager grew close to Montel McKenzie in the villa after she entered the ITV2 dating show during the Casa Amor stage, but he left Tink “shocked” after choosing to remain with Leah Taylor.
When asked how she feels about leaving the series, Tink said: “Obviously it is sad to be leaving, especially because it’s short and sweet but that’s to be expected with Casa Amor.
“I was still shocked as I didn’t expect it from what I thought was the genuine connection I had with Montel, so I was 90 per cent sure I would stay.
“I think my reaction shows it all. I was flabbergasted because of the time I spent with him and the things he had said to me.
“Montel told me that in the two days that we had together he knew we had a lot more in common than him and Leah.
“We had similar interests with our friends and family life being the same – he gave me no inclination that he would sway back towards Leah. He was very open and instigated a lot, asking me to stay in his bed and pulling me to the terrace.”
Following Montel’s surprise decision on Wednesday night’s (05.07.23) episode, Tink lashed out at him as “fake”.
When asked to host Maya Jama if she was surprised by his decision, she said in front of all of the Islanders: “Yeah, I didn’t think I would be standing here to be honest.
“The past couple of days, Montel did say he had more in common with me than he did Leah and the night we had in bed together wasn’t exactly PG so.”
Montel then said: “Whatever, you can say whatever you want to say. It wasn’t a very difficult decision for me.”
Tink replied: “I don’t know how you can move like that but stay in a couple, it doesn’t make sense to me.”
But Tink has now insisted she doesn’t want “any involvement” with Montel following his antics.
She said: “Montel is a caring person and I do believe he did feel bad after he took me to the terrace.
“We probably would have been friends if none of this would have happened because of how much we have in common.
“For me if you can move mad like that I don’t want any involvement. In the nicest possible way, Leah can have him…”
‘Love Island’ continues tomorrow at 9pm on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player, proudly sponsored by Virgin Media Mobile.
The reality show can also be seen on ITV2.

Fiona Phillips scammed for thousands by evil fraudster following Alzheimer’s diagnosis

OHMYGOSSIP — Fiona Phillips was scammed for thousands by a fraudster after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
The 62-year-old broadcaster – whose parents both died due to the degenerative disease – recently had money siphoned out of her bank account by an evil scammer.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Fiona had the money refunded by the bank.
It comes as the former GMTV presenter revealed this week she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s last year after being stricken with months of brain fog, anxiety and forgetfulness.
Fiona’s husband, ITV executive husband Martin Frizell, 64, has told how she isn’t as “vibrant and interested in things” as she used to be following her diagnosis.
He said: “My only frustration is just I want her to get better,’ he says. ‘I want her to remember things. I want the apathy to go and I want this person back who was vibrant and interested in things and eager to do new things. But she’s not there at the moment.”
She replied: “Really? I hadn’t noticed I was being like that.”
He added: “But you wouldn’t, because you are in the middle of it.”
Fiona’s mum Amy was first impacted by the disease in her 50s and passed away in 2006 aged 74, and her dad Neville started to suffer with dementia in his 60s, and he died in 2012.
The star is now taking part in new clinical trials, which she hopes will play some part in the end of the disease.
She said: “I am very positive about the trials – but I have to be.
“I can’t just lie down and accept it. Especially as I have already been through so much of it. I have to do something to help end this bloody awful disease.
“I want to try to make things better for people in the future who have this disease.
“And also I think now I have to talk about it openly. I have been reluctant to do it because I think people look at you in a different way if they think you have Alzheimer’s.”
Several stars have wished Fiona well following her diagnosis, including her former ‘GMTV’ co-star Lorraine Kelly, 63.
On Wednesday’s (05.07.23) episode of ‘Lorraine’, she described the news as “blinking sad”, while praising Fiona for being “amazing and really optimistic as she always would be”.
‘Good Morning Britain’ presenting pair Susanna Reid and Ed Balls also paid tribute to the broadcaster earlier that the morning.
Susanna described her as “an incredible advocate” for families affected by the illness.
Ed – whose mother suffered with the disease for over two decades – added: “If you have a parent with Alzheimer’s or dementia, it’s always on your mind…
“Could it be hereditary? Could it be me? Now it’s a reality she’s dealing with and doing it so very bravely.”

Buyer forks out 15m for Jamie Oliver’s London mansion netting chef scorching 6m profit

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Oliver has sold his eight-bedroom London mansion for £15 million – netting him a scorching £6 million profit.
The 48-year-old chef forked out £8.95 million for the plush pad in Highgate, north London, in 2015, but he offloaded the house for £15 million in June 2022, new files show.
According to ownership records at the Land Registry obtained by The Sun newspaper, the purchasers FIJPTC – a trustee company for the estate of late pornography publisher and strip club owner Paul Raymond, who died in 2008 aged 82 – want to convert Jamie’s beloved former kitchen into an open plan living and dining area.
The papers, which were filed to Camden Council, read: “Current kitchen has low levels of natural lights and is disconnected from the living space.
“The new owner wishes to carry out a series of sensitive alterations to the property to ensure that it serves their long-term family needs, yet respects the unique historic character of the four-storey house.”
Jamie’s former Georgian townhouse is on the same road as abodes previously owned by the likes of late singing legend George Michael – who died in 2016 aged 53 – and supermodel Kate Moss, 49.
The mansion featured on Channel 4 show ‘Keep Cooking: Family Favourites’.
Last month, Jamie landed a new Channel 4 cooking and travel show, ‘Jamie Cooks The Mediterranean’.
The upcoming show – which is set to air later this year – will follow his travels across Greece, Tunisia, Spain and France as he explores a range of flavours and styles to inspire new recipes.
Tim Hancock – commissioning editor for Channel 4 – said: “Jamie has been going from strength to strength in his series for us, and this is a really beautiful travelogue showcasing techniques and recipes even the most avid foodie might have missed, and some ingenious recipes from Jamie.”
It’s said a Christmas special will follow after the four episodes air this autumn.
Jamie will showcase recipes from his Mediterranean trip in a companion cookbook, including dishes like crispy prawn parcels with harissa, which was created in Tunisia.

ITV to celebrate Barbara Knox’s 90th birthday with one-off TV special

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’ legend Barbara Knox’s 90th birthday will be marked with a one-off ITV special.
The 89-year-old star – who turns 90 in September – has played Rita Tanner continuously since 1972, following an initial appearance in 1964, and she will join TV presenter Bradley Walsh to look back at her life in a new documentary.
Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment Commissioning at ITV, said: “It’s easy to throw the words ‘legend’ and ‘icon’ around, but Barbara Knox really does embody both of those terms.
“It’s a privilege to tell the story of one of British television’s most enduring stars as she celebrates a very special birthday.”
The documentary will arrive on ITV1 and ITVX later this year, and it will trace the cobbles legend’s first footsteps into showbiz before her 1964 debut in ‘Corrie’.
She will also discuss some of her memorable storylines, such as the infamous Tram accident in 1989, and she will revisit the site.
Barbara will reflect on being awarded an MBE in 2010, and the documentary will feature interviews with several of her current and former ‘Coronation Street’ co-stars.
What’s more, Barbara will share never seen before photos from her childhood.
The soap queen met the real Queen Elizabeth – who passed away in 2022 aged 96 – when she visited the ‘Corrie’ set in 2021.
The monarch was greeted by soap stalwarts Barbara, William Roache – who plays Ken Barlow, the soap’s longest-serving character – Sue Nicholls (Audrey Roberts) and Helen Worth (Gail Platt) outside the Rovers Return.
She looked delighted to meet the ‘Corrie’ quartet, and during her cobbles visit – to celebrate the show’s 60th anniversary – she learned how the soap adapted its filming process amid the coronavirus pandemic.
She also chatted to Sally Ann Matthews (Jenny Connor) about hotpot during her visit to Manchester’s MediaCityUK in July 2021.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, she said: “We were still operating under COVID restrictions so we were all at two metres.
“It was phenomenal and she had the sparkliest, smiley eyes you’ve ever seen and I chatted to her about take-away hotpot.
“She was so engaged and for someone who’s met everybody and does three or four engagements in a day she listened to everybody and you could see she was taking it all in.
“We were all in the Rovers practising our curtsy.”

Ex Coronation Street Denise Black star rushed to hospital

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’ star Denise Black was rushed to hospital after breaking her arm and her foot.
The ex ‘Emmerdale’ star – who is best known for playing ‘Corrie’ character Denise Osbourne, the mistress of Ken Barlow (Bill Roache, 91) , between 1992 and 1997 – is “mending” after she was taken to accident and emergency.
The 65-year-old actress wrote on social media: “Now I’m mending I can tell you. I broke my wonky arm.
“As I fell I dropped what I was carrying, which broke my foot. Know Hoffnung’s Bricklayers joke? Google it. I am that joke.
“Humungous shout out to doctors and nurses far and wide, very especially our beloved NHS.
“You make humans seem like GOOD people. Great news is I’m still filming. Even better news is I’m mending.
“Sure, I may be wonkier than before, but in truth, aren’t all the best people? Inside and out #embraceyourwonkiness #thankyounhs (sic)”
Denise – who first entered the soap in the 90s to play the lover of Ken, and returned in 2012 to spend time with her on-screen son Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) – admitted that she would be up for reviving the part if “the story was good”.
Speaking in 2021, the former ‘Emmerdale’ star told Inside Soap magazine: “I saw on social media recently that Denise had given Daniel £40,000 – she’s doing better than me!
“Having seen Daniel as a man now, I could never understand why Denise didn’t go back; maybe we’ll find out, maybe we won’t.
“Rob Mallard, who plays Daniel, was huge fun to work with.
“And God, he’s a good actor. I stayed with him when I was filming and we had such a laugh together.
“If there was a need for Denise and the story was good, then I would love to go back.”

Sign of the times! ITV’s Deal or No Deal reboot ‘to have reduced 100k jackpot’

OHMYGOSSIP — The rebooted ‘Deal or No Deal’ will have a reduced jackpot of £100,000.
The fresh ITV1 edition of the show – which Stephen Mulhern, 46, will helm- has decreased the maximum take home prize amid the cost of living crisis and other economic uncertainty, after it previously stood at £250,000 when the programme made its debut on Channel 4 in 2005 fronted by Noel Edmonds, 74.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “It’s a strange sign of the times, but times are tough for ITV just as it is for all other companies across the country, and £100,000 is still a lot of money these days.
“Plus, Deal or no Deal was never about the winnings, it was always about the game and the camaraderie between the contestants, with some happy to walks away with nothing … or just 1p in some cases.”
The show sees contestants select one of 22 boxes, which holds a secret amount between 1p and the jackpot, and they then try to gauge how much is in it while trying to beat “the banker”.
It originally aired for 11 years before ITV opted to revive the programme with the ‘Catchphrase’ presenter, who admitted to being “beyond excited” to be part of its resurrection.
At the time of the announcement in March, Stephen said: “Wow what an opportunity, I’m beyond excited to be hosting the brand-new series.
“I’ve always been such a huge fan of the show, so much so, I’ve been practising at home with small cereal boxes!
“It looks so simple but it’s an incredibly compelling game for both those playing and the viewers watching at home.
“It’s one of the greatest shows of all time and to be the new host is an honour. I can’t wait to get started.”

A movie miracle! Vanessa Kirby was amazed to shoot Mission: Impossible amid the pandemic

OHMYGOSSIP — Vanessa Kirby felt it was “miraculous” to be making ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’ during the coronavirus pandemic.
The 35-year-old actress returns as Alanna Mitsopolis/White Widow in the new action blockbuster and is astonished that Tom Cruise and the crew kept the global flick going amid the health crisis.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Vanessa said: “The day before filming, the virus hit Italy and everyone had to fly back from Venice to London and quarantine for three weeks.
“As those weeks went on, it was challenging in the sense that we never knew when the film would go back up. If there was anybody that would be able to do it, it would be Tom and it was only the second movie in the world that did.”
‘The Crown’ star continued: “Even though it was so difficult as we had masks and it was socially distanced, and this film is so huge, it’s got so many crew members and the locations are massive, and the travel, that was challenging.
“At the same time, the fact that we were shooting a film that was so amazing and miraculous and felt so special. It was a combination of difficulty and intense gratitude, no matter how long it took and it did take three years.”
Vanessa’s co-star Pom Klementieff explained how the Covid restrictions made her even more “focused” on her performance in the picture.
She said: “We felt so grateful to be shooting in these beautiful locations around the world and to be able to travel. We had to stay in this bubble, for me I even trained harder with the physical things, so we were super focused.”

Bob Dylan gave James Mangold notes for A Complete Unknown

OHMYGOSSIP — Bob Dylan gave notes on the ‘A Complete Unknown’ script to James Mangold.
The music legend is fully supportive of the movie in which he will be played by Timothee Chalamet and the director has had the pleasure of several face-to-face meetings with the ‘Like A Rolling Stone’ hitmaker.
Mangold told the Happy Sad Confused podcast: “I’ve spent several, wonderfully charming, days in his company, just one-on-one, talking to him.
“I have a script that’s personally annotated by him and treasured by me. He loves movies. The first time I sat down with Bob, one of the first things he said to me was, ‘I love ‘Cop Land’.'”
The movie features Chalamet, Elle Fanning and Benedict Cumberbatch and tells the story of how Dylan shakes up the folk music world by plugging in his electric guitar at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965, although Mangold explained that is “not really” a biopic.
The ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ director said: “By the way, it’s not really a Bob Dylan biopic.
“The reason Bob has been so supportive of us making it, is it’s about, as in all cases I think of the best true-life movies are never cradle to grave but they’re about a very specific moment.
“In this case, it might sound Altman-esque, but it’s a kind of ensemble piece about this moment in time, the early 60s in New York, and this 17-year-old kid with $16 in his pocket hitchhikes his way to New York to meet Woody Guthrie who is in the hospital and is dying of a nerve disease.”
James insists that the tale of Bob’s electric shake-up has “tremendous relevance” still almost 60 years on.
The 59-year-old filmmaker said: “It all has tremendous relevance even now because of the way we are all so tribalised with rules about what our music should be, about what our rules are, how we speak, how we express ourselves.
“And Bob from the beginning has always been someone who is always pressing against those boundaries.”

No more Sex Education! Netflix series to end after 4th series

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Sex Education’ is to end after the upcoming fourth series, which will be released on September 21st.
Laurie Nunn, who created the Netflix teen comedy-drama, has confirmed the upcoming season will be the last, but she believes it is “the right time” for the show to “graduate”.
In a letter to fans posted on Instagram, she wrote: “A lot has happened since our first writers room in 2017, when we spent a month in a cramped office above a sex shop, talking about what it felt like to go through puberty. The painful awkwardness, first crushes and big, big feelings.
“We wanted to make a show that would answer some of the questions we all used to have about love, sex, friendship, and our bodies. Something that would have helped our inner teenagers feel a little less alone. It’s been overwhelming seeing how the show has connected with people around the world, and we hope it’s made some of you feel a little less alone too.
“Writing this feels bittersweet, as we’ve decided the fourth season will also be the final instalment of our show. This was not an easy decision to make, but as the themes and stories of the new season crystallised, it became clear that this was the right time to graduate. (sic)”
Laurie also admitted she feels indebted to the show’s “brilliant writers, cast and crew”, and they “can’t wait” for viewers to see the upcoming final season.
She added: “We are incredibly proud of Sex Education and feel indebted to our brilliant writers, cast and crew who put so much heart into making every episode. They have worked tirelessly to bring you this final season, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
“Goodbyes are the worst, but let’s celebrate all the good times we’ve had. Laurie.”
The trailer for the fourth series has also been released, featuring returning stars such as Asa Butterfield (Otis Milburn), Gillian Anderson (Jean Milburn), Ncuti Gatwa (Eric Effiong), and Emma Mackey (Maeve Wiley).

Ellie Simmonds breaks down in tears writing a letter to her birth mother in new documentary

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellie Simmonds breaks down in tears writing a letter to her birth mother in her new documentary.
The ex ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star got emotional during the search for her biological mother – who gave her daughter up for adoption when she was just days old, when she was born with a form of dwarfism known as achondroplasia – as she opted to pen her a handwritten note to tell all about her “incredible life”.
According to MailOnline, in the Channel 4 programme ‘Ellie Simmonds: Finding My Family’, which airs on Thursday night (06.07.23), the 28-year-old Paralympian says: “I’m going to tell her I’ve always known I was adopted from the start. I’m going to say I had photos of them, that I lived an incredible life.
These are all bullet points. This is a big thing, the first letter. I’m going to tell her when I read the adoption notes it says you love being outdoors and are into horses and it’s funny because I love them.
“I know from the photos I have you had curly hair, do you still have curly hair? I do, it’s lovely but it’s hard to manage.
“I’m going to say I’m definitely not angry. I hope you understand that. I hope I can get to know you and find out about you. It seems like we have the same personality, again it might have changed now.”
Ellie then begins to well up with tears, before adding: “I don’t know why I’m crying.”
The gold medallist explains during the programme that her “great” adoptive family – which include her parents Val and Steve and her older four siblings Georgina, Steven, Katie and Pauline – were convinced she could’ve ended up in “jail” if she had been left to her “own free will”.
Ellie says: “There wasn’t that one time I knew I was adopted, it was just something I always knew. I’ve got such a great family. If I wasn’t adopted to them, who would I be?
“My mum always says if I wasn’t adopted to them, I’d probably be naughty because I channelled my determination and competitiveness through swimming and sport. If I was left to my own free will, I could be in jail. My mum says that.”

‘We had flirty energy’: Love Island’s Gabby Jeffrey ‘still confused’ about Sammy Root romance

OHMYGOSSIP — Love Island’s Gabby Jeffrey is “still confused” about what happened between her and Sammy Root on the show.
The 24-year-old creative assistant enjoyed flirting with the 22-year-old project manager and they even enjoyed a kiss after Gabby entered the ITV2 dating show at the Casa Amor stage, but she was snubbed for her fellow Casa star Amber Wise in Wednesday night’s (05.07.23) recoupling.
Speaking about what happened with Sammy, she said: “I’m still confused! Sammy was not on my radar at all before I walked in but as soon as I walked in he caught my eye, I was like woah, he’s really attractive.
“Our first chat was natural, really cheeky and flirty and I thought, maybe he is on my radar now. I don’t think I expressed it much to the group, so when I did start to get interested in Sammy it was a shock to everyone.
“I just went with my feelings and how I felt at the time. We had a lot of flirty energy after our kiss but we didn’t have deep conversations, which I think he got more from Amber. I wish them all the best.”
Gabby was also close to Scott Van Der Sluis on the show, but he ultimately decided to remain faithful to Catherine Agbaje, who ended up returning from Casa Amor with Elom Ahlijah-Wilson.
She said: “Scott was in my top three before I even headed in there, so I had my eye on him.
“Scott couldn’t give me 100 per cent but wanted 100 per cent from me.
“I felt he wanted a lot from me, but wasn’t willing to give it back.”
Gabby admitted it was “jaw-dropping” watching the post-Casa Amor recoupling unfold in the villa, especially after Ella Thomas brought back Ouzy See, which effectively left her partner Tyrique Hyde single.
She said: “I think my jaw was on the floor the entire time. I was very shocked.
“I was surprised because everyone expected the boys to move like mad but actually it was the girls.
“When Ella walked in with Ouzy, everyone was like oh my God. Obviously Tyrique wasn’t happy with that.”
‘Love Island’ continues tomorrow at 9pm on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player, proudly sponsored by Virgin Media Mobile.
The reality show can also be seen on ITV2.

Ex-Corrie star Chris Fountain develops ‘untouchable level of resistance’ after several setbacks

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Coronation Street’ star Chris Fountain has developed an “untouchable level of resistance” after several setbacks.
The 35-year-old actor played Tommy Duckworth in the ITV show until he was sacked back in 2013 after a video of him rapping about rape was leaked online, and last year he told how he had suffered a mystery stroke.
But now, Chris insists he can take on anything.
He told Scott Thomas’s ‘Learning As I Go’ podcast: “I’ve developed a level of resistance that is untouchable now.
“The amount of stuff that’s happened, you can keep throwing it at me and I’m going to keep getting up.”
Chris also reflected on his ‘Corrie’ firing, admitting that week “blew [his] entire life apart”.
He added: “That singular week in August 2013 just blew my entire life apart.
“All the foundations of what I’d built as a career just completely came crashing down. And it was the start of a real downward spiral in terms of my mental health, my confidence.”
In October, Chris opened up about suffering a mystery stroke at the age of 35, explaining that he was suddenly unable to speak and ended up in hospital where he underwent an MRI scan that determined he had endured a transient ischaemic attack.
He said on ‘This Morning’: “I woke up in the morning to a phone call from my mum. It was really weird, I picked up the phone and we were talking for a while and I was aware that I was trying to say something but my words weren’t coming out. I was like ‘I’ll call you back’ and thought I was just tired. So I got up and was wandering round the house and I couldn’t put my finger on it but I knew something wasn’t quite right. So I was trying to identify things in the house – there was a towel over the top of the door and I was looking at it. But my inside voice was perfect and in my head I’m looking at it thinking ‘towel’, but I couldn’t say it. It was like my brain and my mouth weren’t on the same page.”

‘Beyond excited’: Kris Marshall confirms show return

OHMYGOSSIP — Kris Marshall is “beyond excited” to be making a new series of ‘Beyond Paradise’.
The 50-year-old actor reprised his ‘Death in Paradise’ role as DI Humphrey Goodman in the spin-off earlier this year, and now filming is underway on both a Christmas special and another series of the crime drama, which is set in the fictional town of Shipton Abbott near the Devon coast.
Kris said in a statement: “I’m beyond excited to have begun filming the second series of Beyond Paradise. ‘Shipton Abbott’ is such a wonderful location to call home for a while and it’s a delight to join up with my fellow police team for another batch of weird and wonderful cases, and to see what’s in store for Humphrey and Martha in the next chapter of their lives.”
Also confirmed to return are Sally Bretton as Martha Lloyd, Zahra Ahmadi as DS Esther Williams, Dylan Llewellyn as PC Kelby Hartford, Barbara Flynn as Anne Lloyd and Felicity Montagu as Margo Martins.
Sally said: : “Series one of ‘Beyond Paradise’ was such a joy to be a part of and I’m ecstatic to have returned to what already feels like a second home in Shipton Abbott. I can’t wait for audiences to see what we have planned – the second series is set to be brilliant!”
And BBC executives teased things are “only just getting started” for the show.
Danielle Scott-Haughton, Commissioning Editor for BBC Drama said: “The huge success of ‘Beyond Paradise’s first series was a joy to see, and the new run of episodes has everything that made so many of us fall in love with it – and a whole lot more. Humphrey, Martha and the residents of Shipton Abbott really were only just getting started!”
Tim Key, Executive Producer of Red Planet Pictures added: “We were delighted with how quickly the audience took ‘Beyond Paradise’ to their hearts and over the moon to be back for more. Our fantastic cast and crew are hard at work to bring another series of humour, heart and of course some properly puzzling cases to audiences, all set against the beauty of Devon and Cornwall – and of course to let everyone experience Shipton Abbott at Christmas!”
The new series will see DI Goodman tasked with solving a shocking crime on board a steam train, an arson attack predicted by a medium and the shock disappearance of a local fishing legend.
The Christmas special will air over the 2023 festive season, while series two, which will be formed of six episodes, will be released in 2024.

Josie Gibson ‘torn between’ Strictly and I’m A Celeb

OHMYGOSSIP — Josie Gibson is said to be torn between appearing on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ or ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’
The ‘This Morning’ presenter – who rose to fame as a contestant on ‘Big Brother’ back in 2010 – is said to be in talks to sign up for both the BBC talent contest and ITV’s huge jungle survival series and she’s going to have to make a big decision on which show she’d rather take part in.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Obviously, she already knows a lot of the executives at ITV and it makes sense for the channel to recruit in-house for their biggest, most-watched reality show of the year.
“But BBC bosses are desperate for her to appear on Strictly as she’s exactly the kind of warm, engaging person they love — one who will always be a hit with viewers.”
The insider went on to add Josie would be able to inspire ‘Strictly’ viewers if she decides to embark on a fitness journey by throwing herself into training for the show.
However, it’s not going to be an easy choice to make. The source went on to say: “In terms of scheduling, it is easier for her to appear on ‘I’m A Celeb’ and she’d probably be a big hit with other celebrities in the jungle Down Under.
“But in terms of profile ‘Strictly’ probably edges it and Josie would love to a rumba.”
Previous reports suggested Josie – who joined ‘This Morning’ as competitions announcer and roving reporter in 2019 before becoming a fill-in presenter two years later -was in advanced talks with ‘I’m A Celeb’ bosses to land a £100,000 fee to head to Australia to take part in the tough jungle challenge later this year.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “’I’m A Celeb’ producers have begun negotiations with Josie’s team to try and lure her with a £100,000 contract. Talks are at an advanced stage. Josie has been a fan of the series for many years and is interested and looking at the bigger picture of her TV career. The stint could propel her into the mainstream and land her bigger gigs.”

‘It’s the last thing you need’: Simon Pegg rules out Shaun of the Dead 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Pegg has insisted a ‘Shaun of the Dead’ sequel won’t happen.
The 53-year-old actor has urged fans hoping for a sequel to the 2004 zombie comedy film – which he starred in and co-wrote with director Edgar Wright – to “move on” and stop holding out hopes he will pen a follow-up movie.
He told The Guardian newspaper: “If I ever do an Instagram Live or whatever, people are always like, ‘I need ‘Shaun Of The Dead 2’ in my life. And I’m like, ‘No, you don’t need ‘Shaun Of The Dead 2’! The last thing you need is ‘Shaun Of The Dead 2’!’ It’s done. Move on!”
However, Simon did confirm he and Edgar will be working on a fourth movie together, but it will be entirely separate from their ‘cornetto trilogy’, which also included ‘Hot Fuzz’ and ‘The World’s End’.
He said: “Whatever Edgar and I do next, we’re not going to rely on what we’ve done before.
“I like the idea of p****** people off. There’s something fun about torching everything. Everything that people think we are, that’s what we won’t be. We should just do something that no one’s expecting. But no one wants!”
However, “Edgar bought his dog, Peter, and Peter was very distracting. I have three dogs; they are schnauzers, too. Well, two now, but I had three then, and they’re quite well-behaved. But Peter’s a little rascal.”
But the ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Part One’ actor revealed he won’t work on comedies with anyone other than his director pal.
He said: “I say no to a lot of things.
“I made a name for myself as a comedic actor, but I’d quite like to flex different muscles.
“And I didn’t plan to be a comedic actor. Comedy was just something I enjoyed and seemed to be able to do.
“Now if I get offered comedies I turn them down, because I want to do it with Edgar and nobody else.”
