Sammy Root and Jess Harding crowned Love Island winners

OHMYGOSSIP — Sammy Root and Jess Harding have been crowned the winners of ‘Love Island’.
The 25-year-old property manager and Jess have claimed the £50,000 prize, after beating Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki in the final two.
Prior to the announcement, Sammy revealed that he knew Jess was the perfect girl for him when she remained loyal during her time in Casa Amor.
Reflecting on their romance, he said: “It took some time at the beginning of my journey to realise what I was risking but when I saw you walking towards the fire pit on your own after Casa, I instantly knew that you were all that I wanted … my wandering eye turned into my eye for Jess.
“No matter what happens if something is meant to be it will be … which only leaves me to say Jess, I love you.”
Jess confessed to host Maya Jama that she’d been surprised by her ‘Love Island’ experience – but she’s thrilled to have met Sammy in the villa.
She said: “I feel like the road I have been on is so unexpected, but we’re here now.”
Jess also feels that they’ve managed to develop a “serious and genuine” connection during their time together on the show.
She told Sammy: “Who would have thought I would be standing here confessing my feelings to my actual boyfriend? Knowing how much it takes for you to get strong feelings screams to me how serious and genuine our connection is.”
Elsewhere, Ella Thomas and Tyrique Hyde came in third place, while Molly Marsh and Zachariah Noble finished in fourth place.

Dara O’Briain rules out Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Dara O’Briain has turned down ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 51-year-old ‘Mock The Week’ star has insisted he will “never” take part in the BBC dance show but admitted he has used the threat of him appearing on the show to win battles with his teenage daughter.
According to The Sun, when speaking during his comedy set at the Paddy Power Comedy Festival in Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens over the weekend, Dara said: “That will never happen.
“I have a 15-year-old daughter, which is a glorious thing. I’m so proud of this young lady and what she’s becoming; strong and powerful and fierce.
“But f*** me – strong and powerful and fierce – I’ve got f****** nothing in this battle.
“I’ve been reduced to saying ‘stop it, stop it’ in this disciplinary battle – ‘stop it, or I will go on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and you will watch me dance’.
“I will dance hard and I will get to Latin week. I will ‘cha cha cha’.
“I can never do the dancing show. That will never happen.”
Meanwhile, Dara – who also has two sons aged 12 and eight with his wife Susan – previously revealed he has a passion for all things intergalactic and keeps seven telescopes at the end of his dining room table.
He told Metro newspaper’s SixtySeconds column: “To be honest, I’ve always been more of a big space nerd: cosmology and black holes and all that stuff. But the Moon is just there and if you get a telescope at all, it is the first thing that you look at. You suddenly see a richness of detail that you’ve never seen before.
“My beginner’s tip to everyone whoever asks about a telescope is to buy a set of binoculars first. You’ll see stars in detail and it’s amazing. Seven feels too many, doesn’t it? But it’s not. It really isn’t! The telescopes are fine- they are kind of cool-looking – but the mounts are just three-legged tripods that sit at the end of the dining table. The tripods are kind of woven around each other. That’s me trying to make them look as small as possible.
“Some would say that they are blocking the view from the kitchen but, look, we all have our passions. It’s not motorbike parts. It’s not bicycle chains and all grease coming off it. It’s not bags of golf clubs with mud on them. I think this is better!”

Danny Dyer in talks for Football Factory sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer is in talks to star in a sequel to ‘The Football Factory’.
The 46-year-old former ‘EastEnders’ actor has met with the cult film’s original director Nick Love to discuss a new script, ahead of the movie’s 20th anniversary next year.
The film followed a group of football hooligans, including Danny’s Chelsea supporter Tommy Johnson, who started to question his morals, and those of his friends.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Danny is a free agent after leaving EastEnders and he has been in talks with the director Nick about a sequel to ‘The Football Factory’.
“The film ended with Danny’s character Tommy recovering from being battered by a group of Millwall fans.
“The idea is that the new project would follow Tommy in the years that followed, what happened in the firm and the new generation coming up behind him.
“Danny said at the time that the film was about so much more than hooliganism. It was about men and their complex relationships.
“And given how much the world has changed over the past two decades, there is plenty of scope for new themes.
“Naturally, football will be at the heart of it so fans can expect violence and hilarious one-liners. Danny has a lot of love for the film and has spoken to Nick about how it could work.
“It would mean defecting from his beloved real-life club West Ham for Chelsea again but Danny is happy to put on the shirt for another pop.
“There’s an eager audience for this kind of gritty, British film and if they can get the script right, they think it could be a massive success.”
The original movie starred Danny alongside ‘Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels’ Frank Harper, as Billy Bright, and Neil Maskell, as Rod King.
Frank is expected to reprise his role as Billy.

‘This little demon is Napoleon Bonaparte’: Ridley Scott reveals why he cast Joaquin Phoenix

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Ridley Scott cast Joaquin Phoenix in ‘Napoleon’ after an inspirational moment while watching ‘Joker’.
The 85-year-old director is helming the upcoming historical epic that sees Phoenix play the role of the French Emperor, and Scott knew the 48-year-old star was the man for the role when he was watching him play the titular character in the 2019 film.
He told Empire magazine: “I’m staring at Joaquin and saying, ‘This little demon is Napoleon Bonaparte.’
“He looks like him.”
Scott compares Napoleon to Nazi Party leader Adolf Hitler, but says he was “extraordinary”.
He added: “I compare him with Alexander The Great. Adolf Hitler. Stalin.
“Listen, he’s got a lot of bad s*** under his belt.
“At the same time, he was remarkable with his courage, and in his can-do, and in his dominance. He was extraordinary.”
Scott and Phoenix previously teamed up in 2000 historical drama ‘Gladiator’, and the actor admits he had a feeling of nostalgia about working with the director again for ‘Napoleon’.
He added: “There was just a very nostalgic idea of working with Ridley again.
“I was so young. It was my first big production. I really yearned for that experience again, or something similar.”
In December, Scott told how he rewrote ‘Napoleon’ because of Joaquin Phoenix’s “constant questioning”.
Speaking to the same publication, he said: “Joaquin is about as far from conventional as you can get.
“Not deliberately, but out of intuition. That’s what makes him tick. If something bothers him, he’ll let you know.
“He made (‘Napoleon’) special by constantly questioning.
“With Joaquin, we can rewrite the goddamn film because he’s uncomfortable. And that kind of happened with ‘Napoleon’.
“We unpicked the film to help him focus on who Bonaparte was.
“I had to respect that, because what was being said was incredibly constructive. It made it all grow bigger and better.”

Gabby Logan calls for more recognition for sports broadcasters at TV awards

OHMYGOSSIP — Gabby Logan believes sports broadcasters should receive more recognition at TV awards for the work they do.
The 50-year-old TV star – who is currently anchoring the BBC’s coverage of the Women’s World Cup – has insisted there aren’t enough sports presenters winning big gongs at TV ceremonies, particularly when such hosts don’t always have the benefit of reading from an autocue during their broadcasts.
Speaking at the Cambridge Union, she said: “The winning presenters are always really great people.
“But there are never any sports broadcasters.
“Those light entertainment shows know what is going to happen through the whole piece.
“In sport, you start off and you don’t know what is going to happen in those few hours that we are on telly.
“We often don’t have autocues, everything is ad-libbed and done on the hoof, which scares the bejesus out of most other broadcasters.
“A lot of sport broadcasters go into other areas as live TV is what we do.
“Other areas of TV are a little bit scared of live TV as it has all the problems that can come with it.”
But Gabby admitted she and her fellow sports presenters can’t get enough of the “adrenaline buzz” that comes from live TV hosting, and she even “prefers it” when things go slightly wrong.
She added: “We love the adrenaline buzz.
“I prefer it when something can go a little wrong which I can help solve.
“If it is all perfect, you don’t get that kick of adrenaline.”
Gabby has previously scooped the Sports Presenter of the Year prize four times at the Television and Radio Industries Club Awards – in 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2014.
She also received a longlist nomination for Most Popular Entertainment Presenter at the 2014 National Television Awards, but she lost out to former England footballer-turned-pundit Gary Neville in the Sports Presenter, Commentator or Pundit category at the 2014 Royal Television Society Awards.

OHMYGOSSIP — Maisie Smith has been “quite impressed” with her boyfriend Max George’s cooking ahead of his ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ debut.
The 34-year-old singer has told how the former ‘EastEnders’ star has been enjoying his kitchen skills ahead of his first episode in the 18th series of the BBC One show next week, but he was “pretty nervous” before entering the kitchen after only “nailing” one of his practice desserts on one occasion.
He said: “I’ve been practising making a main and a few different desserts. I’ve only nailed it once, so I’m pretty nervous.
“My girlfriend has tasted my dishes and
she’s been quite impressed …”
Max also found it “nerve-wracking” as soon as he clapped eyes on judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.
Asked how it felt to walk into the kitchen for the first time, he said: “Quite nerve-wracking. I think when you see John and Gregg it feels like you’re going on ‘X Factor’ or something.
“It feels like all eyes are on you when you walk in, especially the first time. It was only that first 10 minutes that were scary. Once I got into it, it was so much fun.”
Max will take part in the second week of Heats next week, but series 18 will start on Wednesday (02.08.23).
Former ‘Love Island’ star Dani Dyer, actor James Buckley, comedian and actor Marcus Brigstocke, TV personality Mica Ven and TV and Radio personality Richie Anderson will cook first this week.
Their first challenge will be Under The Cloche, when they each have a different ingredient and must cook up a plate of food showcasing that ingredient.
‘Celebrity MasterChef’ returns to BBC One and iPlayer from 2 August at 9pm.

Fred Sirieix would have ‘no problem’ with his children going on First Dates

OHMYGOSSIP — Fred Sirieix would have “no problem” with his children going on ‘First Dates’.
The star – who has been the maitre’d at the restaurant where singletons try to find love since the Channel 4 show’s debut in 2013 – sees no issue with his daughter Andrea, 18, and son Lucien, 14, who he had with his ex Alex Spendolini, taking part in the show later in life.
When asked how he would feel if they did, the 51-year-old television personality told OK! Magazine: “No problem, it’s my kids! Take your kids to work.
“Well, eventually, it will happen, won’t it? It’d be fine. I’m sure I will cope!”
Fred – who welcomed the series moving from a London eatery to one in Bath – praised the “incredible” new crop of daters on the 10th anniversary season, and the old faces who have reached life milestones thanks to their matchmaking skills, like expectant parents Elan and Cindy, who met on the 10th series.
He said: “I think this is the best series we’ve done. The most loved-up, the most exciting. It’s just been incredible.
“Yesterday we saw Elan and Cindy. She’s pregnant, she’s going to give birth in November this year. She looks beautiful, they were so happy, so loved up. It was beautiful, really nice to see them.”
Fred appeared alongside Dermot O’Leary on his travel show ‘Remarkable Places to Eat’, and he was “impressed” with the ‘X Factor’ presenter’s food knowledge.
Fred said: “Dermot has been going to Puglia for the last 10 years. He’s bought a house there and he loves it there. He goes to the market to buy his fish, he knows the local community and he’s made Puglia his own.
“It’s taken him a little bit out of his comfort zone. When we finished, he said, ‘Oh, I’m glad you liked it, because I was a bit worried.’ I said, ‘Were you really?’ And he said, ‘Yeah, I was’ and he was.
“I just couldn’t believe that he was a bit stressed to take me around because he’s such a pro on television and all that. But obviously this is very different.”
“I was very impressed with his knowledge of food, his knowledge of the region, the people and the restaurants. He knows what he’s talking about.”

Strictly pro Amy Dowden feels ‘tender, bruised and sore’ amid her cancer treatment

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star Amy Dowden is “feeling tender, bruised and sore” amid her cancer treatment.
The 32-year-old professional dancer was diagnosed with breast cancer in May and has been keeping fans updated on her progress via social media, in part to “help raise awareness” and encourage others to get checked.
She wrote on Instagram: “I’ve decided I want to share my chemo journey to help raise awareness, hopefully get others checking and for understanding what we go through.
“Port fitted! Wasn’t looking forward to it. Wasn’t easy… my veins! Feeling tender, bruised and sore but the port will help massively over the next few weeks and allow me to dance when I feel well enough.
“A port sits under the skin and the tube goes along my vein to the heart giving safe access for chemo (I believe, I’m no doctor!) (sic)”
Amy – who underwent a single mastectomy six days before to beginning her radiotherapy treatment – detailed how her condition had worsened, meaning she will not be able to compete for the Glitterball Trophy later this year.
She told an Instagram Live: “I was originally going to have a lumpectomy, radiotherapy and hormone treatment.
“They found another type of cancer and then they told me I needed chemo – for me that was a massive blow … this year, it means I’m not going to be able to dance with a celebrity on ‘Strictly’, but I’m in such regular contact with the team – the BBC have just been utterly incredible.”
Amy – who has been told by bosses of the star-studded BBC One Latin and ballroom competition that she can return whenever she feels well enough – first broke the news of her cancer in May.
The star – who married fellow dancer Benjamin Jones last year – told Hello! magazine: “I’ve been through quite a lot in my life, and this is another hurdle. But if I’m positive and strong, I’ve got a really good chance of getting back out on the dancefloor as soon as possible.”

Ross Kemp exploring the world’s most dangerous prisons for new documentary series

OHMYGOSSIP — Ross Kemp is to explore some of the world’s toughest prisons for a new documentary series.
The ex ‘EastEnders’ star has already investigated life at many UK correctional facilities, such as HMP Belmarsh and HMP Barlinnie on ITV, but this time he is planning to look at detention centres in Latin America and Asia, which house some of the world’s most dangerous criminals, including serial killers, mafia bosses and drug lords.
The show is set to air on Channel 5, and currently has the working title ‘Ross Kemp: 72 Hours’.
The 59-year-old actor said: “I’ve been to some of the toughest prisons in the UK and all around the world. I thought I’d experienced it all, and taken every adventure, but this time we’re going even further than before!
“I’m looking forward to my first documentary series with Channel 5 and taking you all on this journey with me.”
Federico Ruiz, the head of Channel 5, said: “We’re thrilled to expand our working relationship with Ross who is no stranger to immersing himself in some of the world’s most dangerous environments.
“This series will see him push himself further than ever before and experience raw, visceral reactions when coming face-to-face with some of the world’s most dangerous criminals locked up in extraordinary prisons.”
Ross joked he was hopeful he would be let out of one of the prisons in Colombia.
He said in an Instagram video: “Spending the day at La Picota Prison in Colombia… hopefully they let me out afterwards!” Behind me is La Picota Prison and that was where I was all day yesterday. That is where I’m going to be all day today. I just hope they let me out at the end of the day. So, that is what I’m doing right now.”

Barbie character returns in scene CUT from final film

OHMYGOSSIP — A scene cut from ‘Barbie’ would have seen Midge giving birth.
The character was introduced by Mattel in 1963 as their flagship doll’s best friend and a now-discontinued pregnant version of the doll was played by Emerald Fennell in Greta Gerwig’s summer comedy based on the toy franchise.
Leaked photos from behind the scenes of the film seen on a corkboard in an ‘Art of the Cut’ interview with editor Nick Houy have now revealed that there were plans for Midge to give birth in a post-credits joke for the film, alongside Dame Helen Mirren – who appears as the Narrator – as a midwife.
Other scenes cut from the fantasy comedy – which sees Barbie discover what it means to be human after leaving Barbie Land – included a “fart opera” but the joke was cut due to a poor reception at a test screening, according to Greta.
She told IndieWire: We’ve always tried to get in a proper fart joke and we’ve never done it. We had like a fart opera in the middle [of ‘Barbie’]. I thought it was really funny. And that was not the consensus.”
Since its release in the middle of July, ‘Barbie’ – which stars Margot Robbie as the titular doll alongside # Ryan Gosling as her boyfriend Ken, and features appearances from other A-Listers such as Dua Lipa, Nicola Coughlan, and Will Ferrell – has grossed more than $774 million at the box office and it is thought that it will eventually surpass the $1 billion mark.
Prior to its release, Greta told Collider: “I think my pitch in the green-light meeting was the studios have prospered so much when they’re brave enough to pair a big idea with a visionary director. And then I gave a series of examples like, ‘dinosaurs and [Steven] Spielberg’ — pretty much naming anything that’s been incredible and made a ton of money for the studios over the years.
“And I was like, ‘And now you’ve got Barbie and Greta Gerwig.’ And I think I told them that it’d make a billion dollars, which maybe I was overselling, but we had a movie to make, okay?.”

Challengers director Luca Guadagnino had ‘no knowledge’ of tennis when he signed up for sports film

OHMYGOSSIP — Luca Guadagnino had “no knowledge” of tennis when he signed on to make ‘Challengers’.
The 51-year-old filmmaker is at the helm of the upcoming sports drama that follows a tennis champion who signs up to compete in a challenger event against the former lover of his wife and coach but according to actor Mike Faist, he only had a “vague interest” in the game to begin with.
Speaking prior to the onset of the SAG-AFTRA strike, he told Empire Magazine: “He had no knowledge of tennis going into this. And I think he had only a vague interest in certain tennis specificities. He was more interested in the bodies and sweat.”
The film also stars ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’ actress Zendaya in the role of Tash Duncani, and she explained to the outlet that the director’s strength was in finding “sensuality and desire” within the text and holding back on releasing the tension.
She said: “What Luca’s really good at is finding sensuality and desire. There’s so much in just glances. The tension builds. Not having the release is a good thing sometimes.”
Although the tennis drama – directed by Luca Guadagnino – was due to premiere at the Venice Film Festival, followed by a theatrical release on September 15, it has now been pushed back to April 26, 2024, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The move comes as SAG-AFTRA actors, including Zendaya, 26, are prevented from doing promotional work amid the ongoing strike.
One insider explained the move, telling THR: “How do you go to Venice without Zendaya supporting?”
Zendaya previously insisted that she is not following a strict career plan despite becoming one of the most sought-after stars in Hollywood.
She said: “I never really thought, ‘I have to do this by this time and I want to do this by that time.’ I just want to do the things that make me happy and bring me joy and fulfil me as an artist, as a person.
“So, I keep that loose, because if one day it turns into a completely different career path, then I would allow myself to do that. The idea of trying to direct in the future excites me.

‘I’ve learnt my lesson’: Shazia Mirza prepared for Celebrity MasterChef by ‘burning 2 kitchens down’

OHMYGOSSIP — Shazia Mirza prepared for ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ by “burning two kitchens down”.
The 48-year-old comedian will make her debut on the BBC One cookery show next week, but judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode will no doubt be hoping she doesn’t leave anything in the oven after past experiences.
She said: “I prepared for ‘MasterChef’ by burning two kitchens down.
“I burnt down the home economics room at school once and my mum’s kitchen once.
“But I’ve learned my lesson, I know not to leave the oven on when there’s nothing in there!”
Shazia admitted she felt “really scared” when she walked into the ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ kitchen, but joked she should be “alright” because she knows how to cook eggs on toast and beans on toast.
She said: “Walking into the kitchen for the first time is really strange, because you’ve seen it already.
“I watch it on TV all the time.
“So when you go there you feel like you know John and Gregg and you know the kitchen, but it’s totally a different feeling when you’re actually in there. It gets really scary and I got very nervous.
“I’d always thought about doing it, but it looked so scary. Now I say, just do it! can make egg on toast, egg and chips, beans on toast, so I’ll be alright.”
The show will return for an 18th series on Wednesday (02.08.23), with former ‘Love Island’ star Dani Dyer, actor James Buckley, comedian and actor Marcus Brigstocke, TV personality Mica Ven and TV and Radio personality Richie Anderson cooking in the first round of Heats this week.
Shazia will do battle with TV presenter and entertainer Dave Benson Phillips, singer Max George, radio broadcaster Remi Burgz, and comedian and broadcaster Terry Christian next week.
‘Celebrity MasterChef’ returns to BBC One and iPlayer from 2 August at 9pm.

Big Brother reveals new eye logo

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Big Brother’ has revealed its new logo for the ITV2 reboot.
The classic reality television series is coming back to screens later this year – after the Davina McCall-fronted original gained iconic status after it debuted on Channel 4 in 2000 – via ITV, and the channel has unveiled the show’s reimagined colourful motif.
‘Big Brother’ – which is responsible for launching the careers of some of TV’s most familiar faces, including ‘This Morning’ presenters Alison Hammond, 48, and Josie Gibson, 38 – will be fronted by AJ Odudu, 35, and Will Best, 38.
Upon being named ‘Big Brother’ presenter, AJ said on Instagram: “I’m so excited to finally be able to say that, yes: I’m hosting ‘Big Brother’! I couldn’t be happier.
“Following in the footsteps of some of my favourite broadcasting legends to front such an iconic show is an absolute honour – and to do it alongside my amazing friend Will is the icing on the cake.”
Will added: “I grew up with ‘Big Brother’, so getting a chance to host it with my mate AJ is a dream come true. I can’t wait to tell some housemates not to swear.”
Marcus Bentley – who will be reprising his role as the show’s narrator – enthused about how he “can’t wait” for the programme to return after it ended in 2018.
He tweeted: “Thanks for all your support and I can’t wait for the shenanigans to begin.”
In May, it was reported that the new series will be filmed at London’s Garden Studios after the original Elstree Studios house was demolished in 2019.
A TV insider told the MailOnline: “Garden Studios is the ideal location for filming the new Big Brother series.
“Not only is it London-based but it’s only been open for a year and promises the highest standard of production and also a commitment to sustainability.
“Elstree Studios became famous for Big Brother and its live studio audience and bosses are hoping Garden Studios will grow to be as loved as the show’s first iconic home.”
Following Big Brother’s Channel 4 stint, it moved to Channel 5 in 2011 and was hosted by Brian Dowling, 45, the winner of the 2001 second series, before Emma Willis, 47, took over the reins.

‘I was completely fooled’: Molly-Mae Hague felt ‘miserable’ before Tommy Fury proposed

OHMYGOSSIP — Molly-Mae Hague felt “miserable” before Tommy Fury popped the question.
The ex ‘Love Island’ star confessed she was “completely fooled” before the 24-year-old boxer – who she met on the ITV2 dating competition in 2019 – got down on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage with a £600,000 sparkler.
The 24-year-old influencer said in a YouTube video: “This vlog was recorded before everything went down but I couldn’t not come on and say hi, say I’m a fiancée!
“It was recorded a couple days before we left for Ibiza, an extremely real day in my life, it’s comedy gold some of the comments, [me asking] why are we going to Ibiza? Stressing about packing because it was so last minute.
“I was completely fooled. I thought we were going for something completely different.
“Watching back I was like, ‘This isn’t my finest side,’ I spoke about why I was bit down in the dumps in this vlog.
“As a woman, when you have a gut feeling that something is not right and I couldn’t put my finger on what was going on but Tommy was not acting himself and I think it was contributing to how I felt. Something felt off.
“You’ve seen the not so fine side of me, I’ve been real, I’ve been miserable not bringing energy.
“I’ve been a little bit sad today and I think it’s my hormones, so please do bear with me.”
Molly also reflected on how well-travelled their six-month baby daughter Bambi was after their “last minute trip to Ibiza”.
She said: “This is Bambi’s fifth country and she’s only six months, she’s basically doing a country a month.
“I’ve been getting a lot of comments recently saying I used to way prefer your content before it was a lot of baby stuff, and that makes me feel quite sad.
“I don’t think I talk about Bambi a lot, well maybe I do, I don’t know.
“I just never wanted my channel to become all about being a mum or my baby, as easily as it could be because I could talk about her all day.
“But I’m consciously remember to keep it the way it was before because that’s why you were here in the first place. I try to keep a healthy balance.”

Coronation Street’s Tina O’Brien reveals why Platt family had to change WhatsApp group name

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’ star Tina O’Brien has told how her on-screen Platt family have a WhatsApp group off-screen – but they had to change the name to reflect their characters.
The 39-year-old actress – who has played Sarah-Louise Platt on and off since 1999 on the ITV1 soap – admitted she “could get quite emotional” when talking about her on-screen family, Helen Worth, 72, Sue Nicholls, 79, Ben Price, 51, and Jack P. Shepherd, 35, who play Gail Platt, Audrey Roberts, Nick Tilsley and David Platt respectively.
She enjoys staying in touch with them all via group messaging, but they changed the name of their WhatsApp group from “Plattz” to “Platt Chat”, because that was the group name used in the soap for their characters’ conversations.
She told the Manchester Evening News newspaper: “I could get quite emotional about it. I love Helen and Sue so much. I started on that show when I was 16-year-old and Helen has shown me nothing but love since day one.
“And what she’s managed to do is create a feeling on set that we are a collaboration. Not to be rude or anything but you can work with other people and they can be a bit this or be a bit that (but) Helen is all about making something that works and it’s enabled us to find out own little faux family. I genuinely sometimes spend more time with the Platt family than I get to with my own family and I adore them all. Ben it the one I turn to for advice and we do have our own little ‘Platt Chat’ in real life.
“It was called ‘Plattz’, but when it came on-screen that we had ‘Platt Chat’ we changed it to reflect what’s on screen.”
Tina – who has 14-year-old daughter Scarlett with her ex boyfriend and former co-star Ryan Thomas, and son Beau, eight, with her husband Adam Crofts – reflected on Sarah’s “cruel and painful” behaviour with her husband Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson, 37) since the character’s recent affair.
She said: “What he did was very cruel and painful, but there is a bit of me that thinks she behaved appallingly so she can’t start living in glass houses.
“I can see why she tried to do it and it’s come from the best intentions, but something like that’s never going to go well. I don’t think personally it’s something I could ever deal with on my conscience for my whole life. I think something like that must literally eat away at you.”

‘She wouldn’t talk to any of the girls’: Kady McDermott claims Molly Marsh ‘segregated herself’ on Love Island

OHMYGOSSIP — Kady McDermott claims Molly Marsh refused to talk to the other female ‘Love Island’ contestants off-camera.
Kady and Molly were involved in a tug-of-war for Zachariah Noble’s affections with him ultimately choosing Molly and Kady revealed she doesn’t plan to spend time with Molly outside the villa.
Speaking to Kiss Fresh on TikTok, Kady, 27, explained: “I actually got on with Molly, I didn’t feel a certain way about her. She obviously didn’t like me and it’s very clear that she didn’t.
“So yeah, we won’t be friends after this but I’m not bothered anyway.
“So basically, Molly off-camera, I know she would talk to girls in the set-up chats, but off-camera, lunch and dinner, and down days, she wouldn’t talk to any of the girls.
“She’d completely segregate herself. She’d either be on her own or be with Zach. But then on the down days, you couldn’t be with the boys, you had to be separated.
“But yeah, as soon as the camera’s weren’t on or we were off-mic, she wouldn’t talk to any of us girls, so we were like, ‘Oh maybe she doesn’t like any of us?'”
Molly and Zach finished fourth on the show but she could be set for some lucrative endorsement deals.
A source told MailOnline: “Molly has already been approached by numerous brands keen to work with her off the back of ‘Love Island’.
“With six-figure deals already rolling in from clothing brands, travel companies and beauty brands, she could be the real winner of the show.’
“I can see her using her stage school credentials to follow in the footsteps of Amber Davies, who has become a West End star and has made hundreds of thousands in doing so.
“Already a social media influencer in her own right I can see the confident star becoming a spokesperson for multiple brands.”
