Joseph Quinn cast as George Harrison in Beatles biopics

OHMYGOSSIP — Joseph Quinn is to play George Harrison in four Beatles biopics.
The ‘Stranger Things’ actor is said to have been chosen by director Sam Mendes to portray the late musician for a quartet of films that will tell the story of the Fab Four from the perspective of each member.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Joe is an incredible actor.
“It’s a massive role, but Sam is delighted to have him on board.”
The projects mark the first time that Apple Corps Ltd and The Beatles – Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Ringo Starr and the families of John Lennon and Harrison – have granted full-life story and music rights for a scripted movie.
Quinn has already starred in big films such as ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ and the upcoming ‘Gladiator II’.
He is also set to play Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in the superhero flick ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ which is slated for release next year.
Meanwhile, it was reported earlier this year that Paul Mescal and Barry Keoghan were both set to star in Mendes’ Beatles films as McCartney and Starr respectively.
The movies are being made by Sony Pictures and Sam’s Neal Street Productions company and are scheduled to begin shooting in mid-2025 for a planned 2027 cinematic release.
It has not yet been revealed if all four films will be released at the same time or whether they will be staggered across the year but Sony has promised an “innovative release cadence”.
Mendes pitched the idea of making four pictures about the ‘Ticket to Ride’ band last year and wowed Sony bosses Tom Rothman and Elizabeth Gabler with his proposals.
The ‘Skyfall’ filmmaker told Deadline: “We went out to Los Angeles just before Christmas to pitch the project, and it’s fair to say we were met with universal enthusiasm.
“The reason Sony stood out from competing offers was down to Tom and Elizabeth’s passion for the idea, and commitment to propelling these films theatrically in an innovative and exciting way.”

Ally McCoist ‘in talks for I’m A Celebrity’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ally McCoist is in talks to join ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The football legend has turned down taking part in the reality series in 2019 and 2022 but now is in “advanced talks” to head to the jungle for this year’s edition of the longrunning ITV show.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Ally has such a huge fan base thanks to his years of commentating and punditry, plus his long stint on ‘A Question of Sport’.
“He’d be great for the jungle – as his wife and kids have been telling him forever – so everyone is really hopeful that this will be the year.”
Explaining why he turned it down in 2022, the former player – who is now a radio host and commentator – suggested at the time that it was because of the creepy crawlies, saying: “I’m not a fan of cockroaches.”
Speaking at the time, he admitted many of the other challenges wouldn’t bother him too much.
He added: “The bit where you jump out of the helicopter or plane at the start – I’d like to do that. But then the rest is downhill. You don’t really know until you’re there, but I actually think being in the coffin with the rats and snakes – from where I’m sitting right now – I don’t think that would bother me that much.”
After previously snubbing the show, Ally revealed his family were really annoyed when didn’t take up the opportunity and he joked they were ignoring him over the decision.
He said: “The kids aren’t talking to me at all. The younger ones would love it and the older ones would love it as well. They are going to school and they are getting it off their pals.
“My wife is not giving a monkey’s about me eating spiders and earwigs, she is just wanting a two stretch in that Versace hotel. It’s the biggest thing we watch as a family, it’s brilliant entertainment.”
If Ally does join this year’s line-ups, could be in the jungle with the likes of pop star Tulisa Contostavlos, dancer Oti Mabuse and ‘Coronation Street’s’ Alan Halsall.

Emily Atack ‘worried’ more about learning tennis than racy Rivals scene

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Atack was more “worried” about learning to play tennis than stripping off in ‘Rivals’.
The ‘Inbetweeners’ star plays Sarah Stratton in the upcoming Disney+ adaptation of Dame Jilly Cooper’s novel, and she has reflected on bringing one of the book’s most memorable scenes to life opposite Alex Hassell as Rupert Campbell-Black.
She told Metro.co.uk: “I was worried about [the tennis match]. I thought, ‘Oh God, am I gonna have to actually know how to play tennis?’ –
“Funny that was my worry, rather than the nudity.”
The 34-year-old actress admitted the naked scene “ended up being quite a liberating experiences”, and she was “so relaxed” in between filming.
She laughed: “I remember I had the towel and the robe in between takes; but by the end of it, honestly, I couldn’t put my clothes on, I was just running around like, ‘Woo.’
“Sometimes you do become so relaxed that you are just sometimes sitting there with your knockers out, and you go, ‘Oh, right, okay, God, I’ve forgotten to put my robe on.’ ”
She was helped on set by her crew, director and co-stars, while having intimacy co-ordinators on set meant there was a good atmosphere on set, with everyone sharing a group hug after a scene.
And Emily overcame any nerves she made have had before filming because she knew it was something she had signed up for in advance.
She explained: “It’s scary when you have to do something like that, for sure. But I just think: I’m exactly where I need to be and I’m behaving as I should.
“This is a role that I’ve been cast in. It’s a scene that I signed a contract for that I said I was comfortable with.”

Prue Leith is glad Great British Bake Off bosses have ‘slimmed down’ her schedule

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Prue Leith has a “slimmed down” schedule for ‘Great British Bake Off’.
The 84-year-old star – who has been a judge on the hit Channel 4 baking competition with Paul Hollywood since 2017 – revealed bosses have made things easier for her as she gets older, and while she has no immediate plans to step down, she knows it will happen one day.
She told Best magazine: “I’ll have to go at some point.
“This year has been easier, because they’ve slimmed down my schedule; I was finding it hard to manage everything, so I’ve dropped the celebrity version and that’s made such a difference.
“So I won’t leave in a hurry, but I will leave some time because I’m getting ancient.”
Dame Prue has no plans to hang up her apron just yet, but she has grown to love an afternoon nap to “help” her during long days.
Asked if she’s planning to retire, she added: “Not yet. One of the things I learned in lockdown is how good a siesta is.
“Now I say to everybody, ‘Can you build it into my schedule please?’ It helps.”
‘Bake Off’ – which is hosted by Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding – was filmed over the summer, and the judge admitted she has “forgotten most of it” now it’s finally on air.
While she often thinks she has a good idea about who could win the competition at the beginning, as time goes on she ends up “wrong”.
She said: “I always think I know, and I’m always wrong!
“‘Bake Off’ is a very difficult competition, because you can do three weeks in a row where you get Star Baker and then you have a really bad week and you’re out.”
‘The Great British Bake Off’ airs Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 4.

Kate Winslet was frustrated by male film bosses misunderstanding Lee

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Winslet says it was hard to convince male film bosses to make ‘Lee’.
The 49-year-old actress plays model-turned-war photographer Lee Miller in the biopic but admits that she was left frustrated in her attempts to get men to “understand” the project as she sought financial backing.
Speaking at the Zurich Film Festival, Kate – who is a producer on the picture – said: “We didn’t have anything handed to us on a plate. I did come up against people, forgive me – men – who just didn’t understand what this film was.
“It’s about a woman who was challenged, who doesn’t look like a pretty picture for most of the film, who was getting down and dirty with life. I did have a potential financier say to me: ‘So, why should I like this woman?’ Okay, so not you then.”
She continued: “One director wanted to make a film I really wasn’t sure about. He said: ‘If you make it, I’ll help you get your ‘little Lee Miller film ‘ funded.’ Again – NO! You won’t help me, go away. I wasn’t going to work with people Lee wouldn’t have approved of.”
Kate was honoured with the Golden Icon Award at the festival in Switzerland but explained that she hasn’t given much thought to her “legacy” as an actress.
The Oscar-winning star said: “I am not going anywhere, but I don’t really think about legacy as much as I think about how important it is to tell stories and make films.
“To be someone who always wants to do this job doesn’t just mean playing interesting parts. It’s more than that – it’s about the entire experience.”

Ali Abbasi considered getting a woman to play Donald Trump in The Apprentice

OHMYGOSSIP — Ali Abbasi thought about casting a woman as Donald Trump in ‘The Apprentice’.
The 43-year-old filmmaker has helmed the new movie about the early years of the former US president’s business career in New York during the 1970s and 1980s and explained how he gave serious consideration to getting a female to play the lead because of Trump’s “awkward” body language before settling on Sebastian Stan.
Ali told DailyMail.com: “There was a time before I started talking to Sebastian I thought that maybe it should be an actress playing Trump.
“Because I thought there was something awkward and off about his body language and I wanted to have that. I wanted to sort of play with that. And we tried it.”
Ali did not disclose which actresses he talked to about starring in the film but did admit that he contacted Cate Blanchett for advice after she did a “great job” with her portrayal of Bob Dylan in the 2007 flick ‘I’m Not There’.
He said: “I did talk to a few people about that and I was serious about it.
“I did also overlays of a young Donald’s face and different actresses that I was considering. I talked to my prosthetics person and tried to figure out how we could solve it if someone had the good proportions or not.”
Abbasi even went as far as conducting a voice test using a woman but ultimately scrapped the idea as he felt it was “too gimmicky”.
The filmmaker said: “In the end, I think, I just felt like the whole thing became too gimmicky.
“It would go contrary to my goal, which was humanising and, you know, capturing complexity. And it would become a movie about how you did that stunt.”

Judi Love wants to host a Blind Date reboot

OHMYGOSSIP — Judi Love wants to host a ‘Blind Date’ reboot.
The 44-year-old stand-up comedian can be seen on television most days on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’ alongside the likes of Coleen Nolan, Denise Welch and Ruth Langsford, but she has revealed she has her eye on a new TV job.
Judi was a huge fan of ‘Blind Date’, which was presented by late showbiz legend Cilla Black, and she would love to bring it back for a modern audience.
When asked if there are any other reality shows she would like to do in an interview with Heat magazine, she said: “I’d love to host one, a dating reality show. I get so inspired by the original queen of the dating show, Cilla Black on ‘Blind Date’. That could be rebooted. And I’m just in awe of Davina on ‘My Mum, Your Dad’, I think that show is amazing. There was a show in America called ‘Ready For Love’, which is lovely. I’d like to do something like that.”
‘Blind Date’ ran on Saturday nights from November 1985 to May 2003 on ITV and was brought back in 2017 by Channel 5 in June 2017 with the late Paul O’Grady at the helm until 2019.
Meanwhile, Judi is set to host a culinary travel show for ITV.

She said: “I am so excited to be setting sail on this new adventure with ITV. Growing up within a Jamaican family, food was always at the heart of any function and occasion.
“So I’m truly excited to experience the culture, people and food of the beautiful Mediterranean.”
As part of the series, Judi will visit Kotor in Montenegro, plus four locations in Greece – Parga, Kerkira, Kefalonia and Itea – to try out all the local delicacies.
She said: “I’m looking forward to exploring all of the different destinations as food has such a way of telling a story for many, especially in the Mediterranean where it’s about sharing love, traditions and identity.
“I have always loved watching loved ones cook and I truly love serving up a hearty plate of food for my family and friends. So I’m thrilled to be able to embrace this with ITV and the audience at home… I can’t wait to get started.”

‘Do not ruin Nutella for me…’ Lauren LaVera reveals her one Terrifier 3 demand

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren LaVera wouldn’t let the ‘Terrifier 3’ special effects team use Nutella to replicate human faeces for a scene in the film because she didn’t want her love of the spread ruined.
The 30-year-old actress plays ‘final girl’ Sienna Shaw in the slasher sequel, which sees her heroic character take on the murderous Art the Clown – played by David Howard Thornton – who is back to wreak havoc at Christmas this time.
Lauren says one of the most memorable days on set was when her character was attacked with removed intestines and she had to bite through them to survive.
The 30-year-old actress told director Damien Leone and the team not to fill the prop intestines with the popular hazelnut chocolate spread because she’d never be able to eat it without that memory again and instead they used crushed cherries and dish soap for the effect.
In an interview with the new issue of SFX magazine, she said: “It was a special effects gag, and I still laugh about it. I won’t say who, but a character uses intestines to try and choke me, and Damien wanted me to bite through it. Of course I did, and remember the special effects team were like, ‘What are we gonna use to make it look like faeces? What do you think of Nutella?’
“I was like, ‘Do not ruin Nutella for me, I love Nutella. Use something else!’
“So instead they decided to use crushed cherries, which I don’t think I’ll be able to eat or least look at them the same. It was terrible. It was crushed up cherries and dish soap [washing-up liquid]. I don’t know why they used dish soap, but I was coughing up dish soap for days after that.
“So I bite into it and the gag is supposed to shoot out like a rainbow, and instead it went right up my nose, and that’s the take they used. I’m just choking and gagging after the take and then Damien, because he’s so sadistic, he comes over to me, and he’s like, ‘Wait, wait, suffer a little bit longer,’ and takes a picture of me!”
Although she didn’t enjoy filming the scene at the time, Lauren – who also stars in the horror with Jason Patric, Chris Jericho, Daniel Roebuck, Tom Savini and Samantha Scaffidi – admits she can now look back and laugh, because the sequence is indictive of the over-the-top gore that Leone brings to the screen with the ‘Terrifier’ franchise.
She said: “It wasn’t one of my favourite moments! At that time, I hated Damien, but now I can look back on it and really laugh, and it’s one of my favourite moments from this set. We were always cracking jokes.”

Pete Wicks’ Joaquin Phoenix inspiration

OHMYGOSSIP — Pete Wicks will be channelling Joaquin Phoenix for his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ movie week routine.
The ‘TOWIE’ star and his professional partner Jowita Przystal will be taking to the floor on Saturday (05.10.24) with a special movie-themed dance and Pete is looking forward to taking on a new character.
He said: “Much like dancing, I’ve never acted before. So it’s not a case of levelling up, it’s learning. It’s hard to be anyone other than myself, but I think it’s time I started being someone else. Being me hasn’t worked too well so far!”
When asked: “If you could recreate any iconic movie dance scene on the Strictly dance floor, which one would it be, and why?”, he replied: “The Joker dancing down the stairs. It’s the only one I know, but it’s iconic.”
Pete also revealed he has been compared to an iconic movie villain in the past.
He said: “Scar from ‘The Lion King’ would do a great Paso Doble. I’ve been compared to him before.”
The pair were also quizzed on their perfect movie night or day and shared similar answers.
Pete said: “Raining, log cabin in the middle of the woods, fire going, cold night. Couple of bottles of Malbec and cheese board,” while Jowita answered: “Snowy night, log cabin! A big bowl of salted popcorn.”

Saoirse Ronan’s Harry Potter audition

OHMYGOSSIP — Saoirse Ronan auditioned to play Luna Lovegood in the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise.
The 30-year-old actress revealed she lost out on the role of the young witch to Evanna Lynch and admitted it has “stayed with me over the years”.
Speaking to chat show host Jimmy Kimmel, Saoirse said: “There’s things that you’ll pass on and then they come out and you think, ‘Oh, God, that was a misstep on my part,’. But I think the one that stayed with me over the years was — I didn’t say no to it, I just didn’t get the part. I lost, again; it’s a running theme for me.
“But I had gone up for Luna Lovegood in ‘Harry Potter’ years ago. Because it was like the Irish character, so they got everyone Irish in, like half of Ireland come and audition.”
Saoirse revealed she knew she wouldn’t get the part “because I was too young, but I got to read out a scene that was gonna be in ‘Harry Potter’, and it was the coolest thing ever”.
Evanna made her debut in 2007’s ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’, which was the same year Saoirse’s ‘Atonement’, for which she received her first Oscar nomination, was released.
Meanwhile, Saoirse – who has produced new movie ‘The Outrun’ – revealed she would love to direct and has been taking advice from frequent collaborator Greta Gerwig.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “That was always a passion of mine, and it was actually Greta who said that you need to delve into the prep first to see if that’s something that piques your interest because that’s where the really hard work lies. [Producing] was an education in that, all the sort of tough decisions that you’ve got to make early on, and it just made me feel more confident as well as a storyteller being involved that early in the project.”

Tommy Fury denies cheating on Molly-Mae

OHMYGOSSIP — Tommy Fury has denied ever cheating on Molly-Mae Hague.
The pair – who met on ‘Love Island’ in 2019 and have a daughter Bambi together – shocked fans when they split up in August after five years together and Tommy, 25, has denied the break-up had anything to do with infidelity.
When asked if he had cheated, Tommy told Mail Plus: “Absolutely not. I think if you were going to cheat on someone you should just sit down and say, ‘I don’t love you any more’, clearly, because you want to go and pursue other people.
“When you get to that stage, I think you should just call it a day. If you want to go out there and have affairs with women then you definitely shouldn’t be with your partner.
“Definitely not. And have I ever reached that point? No.”
Tommy insisted that he still loves Molly, 25, and people will regret accusing him of cheating.
He said: “All the allegations that were made of me recently are completely false,’ he said. ‘The truth will come out in time and when it does I think a lot of people might regret their actions and unkind words.
“‘What the public thinks is going on isn’t what is going on. It’s not something I envisaged happening, but it didn’t come out of nowhere. It’s a thing that was there previously to all this happening, but the only people who know what is going on in our relationship is me and Molly.”
And, he is determined to win Molly back, saying he will love her until his “final breath”.
Tommy said: “The whole world could be against me and I’ll still fight because that’s the mindset of a winner and I am a winner.”

Ulrika Jonsson used to ‘black out’ after binge-drinking

OHMYGOSSIP — Ulrika Jonsson used to “black out” after binge-drinking alone, before quitting alcohol.
The 57-year-old TV star recently celebrated being 121 days sober but claimed she used to be a “highly functioning binge-drinker” and only quit after a worried friend spoke to her about it.
She told The Sun: “Drink quelled my anxiety. It transported me to another place where I felt at peace — where the problems of the world couldn’t reach me and, most importantly, where I felt numb.
“I drank to kill my feelings of anxiety and my fears of everything.
“I was a highly functioning binge-drinker. I never woke up dishevelled in a pool of sick.
“Now, without drink I feel calm and clear. Not that it’s easy to give up. It’s not. But it’s brought me much needed peace.”
Ulrika paid tribute to her best friend, who confronted her about how worried they were.
She said: “One Saturday morning my best friend, who I love and cherish, called me and basically told me we had spoken the night before and she hadn’t understood a word I had said.
“She told me I needed help. I knew it came from a place of love.”
But, it took a while longer for Ulrika to decide to quit.
She said: “I was hungover again some days later and I had nothing but shame running through my veins. My head just knew that this was the end of life as I knew it then.
“I reached out to a friend who hasn’t had a drink for five years and said, ‘I can’t do this any more’. I had the gift of desperation.”

JB Gill insists JLS dancing hasn’t been much help for Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — J.B. Gill had to “forget everything” he had learned about dancing before taking part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The JLS singer’s casting on the show was criticised because of his experiences with the band but he insisted his stage routines haven’t been helpful at all when it comes to learning Latin and ballroom routines with professional partner Amy Dowden.
Speaking on the Mirror’s ‘Invite Only’ podcast, he said: “When I walked into rehearsals, the first thing Amy said to me was: ‘You need to forget everything you have learned.’
“My wife is a professional dancer in a commercial style, and when I went back home and showed her the video she said: ‘What even is that? I don’t understand.’
“There’s this misconception about what I can do, but none of the members of JLS are trained dancers, not one of us. There has been no stage school, no dance classes. Yes, the performance element has been helpful, but every style is different.
“And I can’t attack this in the way that I would attack it if we were performing in a stadium show, because that would be a disaster.
“At the launch show, what I was trying to do was literally to walk in a straight line, a simple two step forward. But I have never been more nervous than I was at that moment, because I’m used to making everything big.
“Instead I had to do something that is alien to me, but also control it, and make it elegant and classy. I was terrified of Craig Revel Horwood saying: ‘Darling, you can’t even walk in a straight line.’ ”
The ‘Beat Again’ hitmaker’s bandmate Aston Merrygold took part in the show in 2017 but was controversially voted off in week seven, and now he’s pushing for J.B. to lift the Glitterball Trophy this year as part of his own “redemption”.
J.B. said: “Aston knows Amy, so he said to me: ‘Look, you’ve got a great dancer, just keep working hard.’ He was not happy with the scores last week – he told me I was undermarked.
“Because his exit was a shock, he wants redemption now – he wants me to go all the way this year.
“But Amy and I are just putting one step in front of another, we’re taking one week, one dance, and one step at a time.
“For me, I’ve watched Amy on the show, so I knew she was an incredibly talented dancer. What I didn’t know until now was how great she is as a teacher. I feel very honoured to be dancing with her.”

Roxy Shahidi to bow out of Emmerdale

OHMYGOSSIP — Roxy Shahidi is set to leave ‘Emmerdale’ “in a blaze of glory”.
The 41-year-old actress is to depart the soap after 16 years as Leyla Harding as her alter ego is set to be killed off in a “meaty” new storyline and she is looking forward to embracing new opportunities following her departure.
A source told The Sun: “Roxy has adored her time on the soap and has made so many happy memories since first joining when she was 17.
“The cast have become like family to her and she has grown so much as an actress, but now feels like the perfect time to spread her wings and try something new.
“She is really excited about her meaty exit storyline, which will see her character Leyla die on screen. She’d rather go out in a blaze of glory and be remembered.”
The ‘Drama Queens’ star – who has a six-year-old daughter with husband Arsher Ali – recently spoke of how much she has loved working on ‘Emmerdale’ because being in a soap offers actors a very unique opportunity.
She said: “I absolutely love being in a soap like Emmerdale, because you’re able to grow your character over the years. It’s a process you don’t really get on many other dramas. And I’m so lucky to play Leyla, because she’s such a fun character.”
Earlier this year, Roxy was one of the soap actresses to take part in reality show ‘Drama Queens’ and she previously admitted she felt “vulnerable” opening up about her real life.
She said: “When the camera is rolling, it’s just you, the other ladies and this crew you’ve got to know and trust.
“But a few weeks later, you realise it’s actually going out on television and you can’t quite remember what it was you said! All you do remember is feeling vulnerable. I kept thinking, ‘What did I say? And how upset did I get?’ On Emmerdale, you perform a script and you’ve got that character to hide behind – but this is you, in the moment, being as authentic as you can be. And that leaves you feeling a little bit exposed.”

Amanda Abbington felt relief when cancer scare sparked Strictly exit

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Abbington was relieved when a cancer scare gave her a reason to quit ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 50-year-old actress left the Latin and ballroom contest in week six last year citing personal and medical reasons and later accused professional partner Giovanni Pernice of bullying and abusive behaviour, but she’s now revealed she was also dealing with a health issue at the same time after finding lumps in her breast.
She told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “By my final week, on the Thursday morning, I was in the shower and I found two lumps. I’d got the all-clear after a mammogram a couple of months before.
“I went in for rehearsals to do the cha-cha-cha and just couldn’t concentrate. Giovanni said, ‘There’s no point teaching you this because it’s not going in. You can’t get it. We’ll be lucky if we get through because you’re useless’.
“He refused to even look at me so I went to the toilet, came back and said, ‘I’m going to go to the hospital now because I found two lumps in my breast this morning’.
“Then he was great. He said, ‘Well, let me know how it goes’.
“It was the catalyst I’d been sort of waiting for, which is terrible.
“But that’s what I was thinking, that it was a healthier option than being in that room.
“I’ve championed breast cancer charities but there was a part of me that was like, ‘OK, I have to deal with this now instead. Phew’.”
Amanda – who was later told the lumps were benign – claimed rehearsals with the 34-year-old dancer became unpleasant “fairly quickly”.
She said: “It descended into him calling me names, saying I was stupid and lazy, that I danced like a vegetable.
“It was an onslaught of being told you’re not good enough.”
And the ‘Sherlock’ star had been warned about his behaviour, as she claimed she received texts from some of his previous celebrity dance partners.
She said: “I had about ten messages from people going, ‘I’m so sorry that he’s your partner’.
“They were people who’d worked on the show. Two or three were his ex-dance partners.”
As well as support from her fiance Jonathan Goodwin and her two children, Amanda also had the backing of her former partner Martin Freeman, who was so infuriated by the situation she had allegedly found herself in, he wanted to “kill” Giovanni.
She said: “Martin said, ‘I’m so sorry that you’re having to go through this.
“This is awful. You don’t deserve it. I want to kill him’.
“Martin said to me, ‘It’s so unfair, Amanda, because you would always be like, ‘I want to be in that show’. You were so good in it’.”
Earlier this week, the BBC published their report into the actress’ complaint and offered an apology, though just six of the 17 allegations made against the professional dancer were upheld.
The report found that some of the language used by Giovanni towards Amanda could be “belittling” and agreed with the ‘Mr. Selfridge’ actress that his feedback was, at times, “overly negative”and that he had used profanity during rehearsals.
The report noted after reviewing several hours of rehearsal footage as part of an official investigation that there were two moments of “inappropriate behaviour of sexual banter in the workplace”, which were found to simply have been “made and received as jokes” between the pair.
