Cillian Murphy: ‘Oppenheimer was naïve for thinking he could end all wars by inventing atomic bomb’

OHMYGOSSIP — Cillian Murphy has branded J Robert Oppenheimer “naïve” for thinking he could end “all wars” by inventing the atomic bomb.
The 47-year-old ‘Peaky Blinders’ actor studied and dieted for months in preparation for playing the scientist in Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’ blockbuster, and added his hard drinking and womanising – as well as the torment he felt after creating the bomb – made him “contradictory” and “complex”.
He told NME about Oppenheimer: “I do think that he believed it would be the weapon to end all wars.
“He thought that (having the bomb) would motivate countries to form a sort of nuclear world governance.
“He was naïve. Chris (Nolan) used this amazing phrase. We were talking about Oppenheimer’s arc and he said, ‘You know, he’s dancing between the raindrops morally.’ That unlocked something in my mind when I was preparing.”
Quantum physicist Oppenheimer oversaw the creation of the atomic bomb for the US Government, two of which were dropped on Japanese cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, killing an estimated 220,000 people.
He spent the rest of his life campaigning for disarmament and was left disgusted at the weapon he called his “gadget”.
Cillian read the Bhagavad Gita in preparation for the role, the 700-page Hindu religious text the physicist famously quoted from when he said: “Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.”
He researched for six months before filming began in February 2022, and during the 67-day production regularly worked 18-hour days.
Cillian was also said to have eaten only an almond or stick of celery a day to get hard-drinking Oppenheimer’s gaunt look.
He added even though he needed a break after the role, he hasn’t let it weigh on him.
Cillian said: “You always have to take a holiday after a job. It’s not because… as some journalists like to think, you’re a method actor or whatever.
“It’s because you give so much time to the job and then suddenly you stop. You have all this displaced energy, you know, so you kind of don’t know what to do with yourself… but I’m a very easy going sort of person. It doesn’t weigh me down.”

Barbillion! ‘Barbie’ madks history by making over $1 BILLION in global box office gross

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Barbie’ has made history by raking in more than $1 billion in global box office gross.
The mammoth takings from on director Greta Gerwig’s movie about the Mattel doll, made for a budget around $145 million, makes it the first movie directed solely by a woman to hit the figure.
It added another $127 million to its box office internationally over the weekend, bringing its global total to $1.03 billion.
Studio representatives are using the phrase “Barbillion” to describe the success of the film, starring Margot Robbie, 33, as Barbie and Ryan Gosling, 42, as Ken.
It crossed $400 million domestic and $500 million internationally faster than any other movie at the studio, including the Harry Potter films.
Jeff Goldstein and Andrew Cripps, who oversee domestic and international distribution for makers Warner Bros, said in a joint statement: “As distribution chiefs, we’re not often rendered speechless by a film’s performance, but Barbillion has blown even our most optimistic predictions out of the water.”
Warner Bros co-chairs and CEOs Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy also praised director Greta, who co-wrote ‘Barbie’ with her filmmaker husband Noah Baumbach, 53, in a statement.
They said the milestone “is testament to her brilliance and to her commitment to deliver a movie that Barbie fans of every age want to see on the big screen”.
Three movies co-directed by women are still ahead of ‘Barbie – ‘Frozen’, which took $1.3 billion, ‘Frozen 2’ ($1.45 billion), which were co-directed by Jennifer Lee, and ‘Captain Marvel’ ($1.1 billion), co-directed by Anna Boden.
‘Oppenheimer’ also celebrated a landmark, crossing $500 million globally in three weeks.
Its worldwide tally is currently $552.9 million, putting it ahead of ‘Dunkirk’, which made $527 million in 2017 making it ‘Oppenheimer’ director Christopher Nolan’s fifth-biggest film.

The actress was known for her role as Joyce Smedley in ‘Coronation Street’ in the late 1990s before going on to star as Vivien March in the BBC medical soap opera ‘Doctors’ but passed away towards the end of last month following a battle with breast cancer, according to reports.
After training at the Central School of Speech and Drama, Anita made her name on British television in the 1970s as she appeared in the classic sitcom ‘Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?’ before going on to star as Babs Humphries in ‘Beryl’s Lot’.
Anita – who was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 – is survived by her actor husband Mark Wing-Davey as well as their two children.
After he took a job in the U.S, she ended up appearing in a number of stage roles across the pond before taking on her British Soap Award-winning part in ‘Doctors’.
‘The Spoils of War’ actress made her first appearance on ‘Coronation Street’ in 1978 in the guest role of Brenda Summers and went on to appear in other TV hits such as ‘Juliet Bravo’, ‘Heartbeat’ and ‘Band of Gold’ before returning to ITV1’s flagship soap opera to play the mother of Judy Mallett – who was played by Gaynor Faye – in 1996 before being killed off in a shock twist the following year.

The Wanted star Max George reveals the LIE he told to get onto Celebrity Masterchef

OHMYGOSSIP — Max George had to lie to get his place on ‘Celebrity Masterchef’.
The 34-year-old pop star – who is best known as a member of boyband The Wanted – has competed in the latest series of the BBC cookery show alongside the likes of ‘Love Island’ star Dani Dyer, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional Dianne Buswell and former ‘Loose Women’ panellist Jamelia but admitted that he doesn’t really cook anything at home despite what he told show bosses.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, he told stand-in host Christine Lampard: “It was tough. It was having other people around you who were clearly very competitive and it would be having Gregg Wallace or John Torode appear out of nowhere like a puppet on your shoulder and a spoon would come over out of nowhere and they’d start tasting. It was a great experience, though. I hadn’t cooked too much before I went in. I think I was one of the later additions and on the questionnaire, it said I had to have cooked a certain amount of times a week. So I said I cooked at least four nights a week at home.
The ‘Glad You Came’ hitmaker – who has been in a relationship with former ‘EastEnders’ actress Maisie Smith, 22, for almost a year – went on to explain that he has been having his actual kitchen renovated for a while now so has been relying on takeaways but doesn’t cook more than “four times a month” anyway.
He said: “I haven’t had a kitchen for over a year because I’m renovating so it’s all been takeouts. I probably don’t cook at home more than four times a month. But I got it!You definitely learn as you go along and you learn things about food that you never would have thought before, all spices and stuff. I definitely learned something but it was very nerve-wracking and stressful!”

‘I left at the WORST time!’ Lucy Fallon reflects on Coronation Street exit after announcing comeback

OHMYGOSSIP — Lucy Fallon left ‘Coronation Street’ at the “worst possible” time.
The 27-year-old actress – who has seven-month-old Sonny Jude with boyfriend Ryan Ledson – was cast in the role of Bethany Platt on the ITV1 soap opera in 2014 but quit the part just weeks before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and after announcing her upcoming return to the show, explained that she feels “peaceful and happy” even though she was starved of acting opportunities because of the lockdown.
Speaking on the ‘Soap from the Box’ podcast, she said: “I had been advised by my agent that I was with at the time. I’d been there for five years and done a lot of amazing storylines and knew it would tail off a little bit. I knew if I stayed I would have a year or so not doing very much. I think that just happens. You can’t just get storyline after storyline so I made the decision to leave based on the fact that I wanted to have new opportunities but the problem for me was that I left in January 2020 and we went into a global lockdown in March 2020 so it was possibly the word timing. On paper, it was bad timing.
“That was just the worst possible timing ever but in those three years I’ve had a lot of life changes. I’ve done different shows, I did ‘Tom Jones’ a couple of years ago, I have done other things. I did ‘Don’t Rock the Boat’, a reality thing. I did ‘All Star Musicals’. So I have done things but if I hadn’t left I might have been stuck in situations that I didn’t particularly want to be in. Now I feel peaceful and happy, I’ve got a baby and a nice boyfriend.”
Lucy had landed the part of Bethany after their initial choice Katie Redford was discovered to have lied about her age at the time of the audition and explained that while it was a “weird” set of circumstances that led to her professional debut, it was all “meant to be” in the end.
She added: “I ended up getting the callback and then it was like a workshop with the other people who were auditioning for Bethany. Then it was a screentest. Then I got the call that I didn’t get it. The agency I was with at the time, well, I hadn’t signed with them yet but they were willing to sign me if I got the part. When I didn’t get the part, they said I had to audition to be in the agency.
“They then got the call to say I had got the part because the other girl had lied about her age so it was taken off her. So then I signed with the agency. It all started circulating on Twitter. I think maybe her Twitter handle had 87 in it so people thought it was her date of birth.
“I don’t know how it happened, I think she was just advised poorly by the agent she was with at the time. I got the call and I got the part and – even though it’s the weirdest way – everything does happen for a reason. It was meant to be mine.”
Lucy is set to make her return as Bethany in scenes set to air after Christmas and a TV insider explained that the idea of a comeback came about after she had been able to figure out how to “juggle” childcare with work.
A source told The Sun on Sunday’s Bizarre column: “Bosses reached out to her a few weeks ago about the possibility of coming back, and told her everything they’d planned for Bethany if she agreed.
“She discussed it with her boyfriend, and family, because she’s a mum now with a baby.
“Once they’d talked about childcare, and how best to juggle it all, she was able to say she’d love to return.”

‘It can be really hard!’ Laura Whitmore on how she manages personal struggles on live TV

OHMYGOSSIP — Laura Whitmore is still “trying to navigate” the TV industry.
The 38-year-old star has presented hit shows like ‘Love Island’ and ‘Celebrity Juice’ since winning a competition to be on MTV in 2008 and explained that even more than a decade into her career, she still finds it a “hard environment” to work in especially when she is struggling with something personal.
Speaking on the ‘Spinning Plates’ podcast, she told host Sophie Ellis-Bextor: “Nothing is ever as light as it seems and I’ve definitely come up against…even the first time I moved to London from Ireland. I’d won this competition to be on MTV and was living by myself. Or trying to find somewhere to live, going around London looking for flats and going ‘This isn’t as glamorous as I thought it was going to be!’ And I’ve definitely had to…television is a great environment to work in but it’s a really hard environment to work in and there is definitely ups and downs. It’s about kind of finding your own voice within that space.
“I’ve definitely worked on live television shows where sometimes personal stuff can be really hard behind the scenes but you still have to go in and do your smile and do your job. That can be really conflicting because you feel ‘This isn’t how I feel right now’, it’s the same probably for musicians who have had something really horrible happen and they still have to go up on stage and entertain because it’s not for them, it’s for the audience.
“It’s hard. I’ve constantly got these internal conversations with myself because I’ll go in to do something I really don’t want to do that day, but you know you have to do it. And then it makes you feel guilty because you know how lucky you are to do a job you love. It’s hard. I’m still navigating this industry and finding what makes me happy, and also pushing myself.”
The ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ star went on to express her amazement at how she managed to go from making teas and coffees for staff in a small newsroom to suddenly winning a nationwide search for MTV and suddenly finding herself interviewing some of the world’s biggest stars.
“I’ve definitely been in so many different situations. My background was journalism and was working in this newsroom, just interning in this radio station and found it really hard. News is…not great. If you’re in that environment constantly every day and you hear bad things are happening, it does affect you. I don’t think I have that ability. I was in this newsroom interviewing people like politicians before they went on air, then I entered a competition to be on MTV and I won that. So I went from being the lowest of the low in this newsroom to going off to London in the space of a month and then being sent to LA to interview Coldplay. How does the girl who makes the coffee do that? I think we were all surprised.”

Strictly Come Dancing star Karen Hauer is in no rush to have kids

OHMYGOSSIP — Karen Hauer isn’t ready to have children yet.
The 41-year-old dancer – who is best known as a professional on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ – tied the knot with Jordan Wyn-Jones,34, in a secret ceremony in Hampshire last year and is fully immersed in her marriage but is taking things slow on the kids front because she is “happy” living with her husband and her dogs.
She told HELLO Magazine: “There’s always the possibility, but right now I’m really happy living in the moment with my husband and the dogs.”
The Venezuelan-American dancer – who was previously married to fellow dancer Matthew Hauer before divorcing in 2009 and former co-star Kevin Clifton from 2015-2018 – is hoping third time is the charm.
Karen went on to add that communication is the key to any happy marriage as she admitted to having “outside help” to make things in thei relationship “even better.”
She said: “I think communication is massive. But learning to communicate… we get outside help.
“It’s about dealing with things the right way and not just running away, and I guess that’s what makes us tick even better.
“So whenever we’re having tricky moments, it’s just seeing the vulnerable side of each other and understanding it. Nobody is perfect and there is no such thing as a happy marriage or a happy relationship with a perfect couple.”
Meanwhile, Karen is busy rehearsing for the upcoming series of the BBC ballroom competition but is saddened by the news that her co-star Amy Dowden would not be joining her as she undergoes treatment for breast cancer.
She said: “We think of Amy all the time and of how much she would love to be here with us. We’re always keeping in touch with her. And this one is definitely for her; all of this we’re doing, we’re doing it for her.”

Dwayne Johnson says failed ‘Black Adam’ sequel got lost in ‘web of new leadership’ at Warner Bros Discovery

OHMYGOSSIP — Dwayne Johnson says the failed ‘Black Adam’ sequel got lost in a “vortex of new leadership” at Warner Bros Discovery.
He opened up about it getting dropped on a recent episode of Kevin Hart’s ‘Hart to Heart’ show, on which he talked about the passion project that saw him play the titular ancient superhero.
When Dwayne, 51, was asked by Kevin, 44, how he felt that the franchise was halted, the actor said: “‘Black Adam’ got caught in a vortex of new leadership. And at that time, as we were creating ‘Black Adam’, developing it, shooting ‘Black Adam’… it was so many changes in leadership.
“And as you know, anytime you have a company, but especially that size and magnitude that’s a publicly traded company, and you have all those changes in leadership, you have people coming in who, creatively and fiscally, are going to make decisions that you may not agree with.”
Dwayne added the ‘Black Adam’ sequel “got caught in that web of new leadership,” and that the project being dropped “will always be one of the biggest mysteries”.
He said: “You have the biggest opening of your career. Sure, no China, that could’ve been maybe 100, maybe 200 million more dollars.
“You’re establishing a new superhero and you want to grow out the franchise. “You bring back Superman and Henry Cavill – the world went crazy… we created a diverse superhero portfolio, where we have just men and women of colour in ‘Black Adam 2’ as well.”
Ahead of the release of ‘Black Adam’ in October 2022, Dwayne also touted plans to develop his own chapter within the DC Universe and expand the character, but that was before James Gunn and Peter Safran took over and reshaped the entire DC Studios slate.
In December 2022, Johnson announced that plans for a ‘Black Adam’ sequel had halted and would not be resuming anytime soon.

Mark Ronson felt like he couldn’t breathe until Greta Gerwig approved his first ‘Barbie’ track

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Ronson felt like he couldn’t breathe until Greta Gerwig approved his first track for ‘Barbie’.
The music producer, 47, was asked by the filmmaker , 40, to quickly write a number for Barbie’s first big musical number in her film, which shows Margot Robbie and the other Barbies dancing in her Dreamhouse, and only had a week before choreography began to come up with something to fit the scene.
He told NME: “It felt like if I did a good job on that track there might be a chance to do more.
“But it was getting close to the deadline and I didn’t have anything. Finally, at the last minute, I had this track that I liked. I named it ‘Tastes Like Barbie’ and sent it in overnight.
“I knew it was already mid-morning in England, where they were filming.
“I always turn my phone off before I go to bed but I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t resist checking my email.
“Greta loved it. She said she’d already listened to it 100 times on the way to set. It felt like I could breathe again.”
Mark added about wanting to put together the music for what has turned out to be the biggest film of the year: “I wanted to get the job, but I also didn’t want to just give them some generic dance s***.
“I wanted to do something I’ve never done before. The minute I knew Greta was directing the film, that she was writing it with her partner Noah (Baumbach), and that it was Barbie… I signed up.
“I mean, I did read the script. And the script was incredible. But honestly, if it had been bad I still would have said yes.
“You know, I’ve been asked to do songs for movies before.
“And they just say, like, ‘Hey, we’re doing a ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot! Just make a song!’
“Like, sure, you can go make a song but your brain goes a thousand different ways.
“No offence to the ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot, but they ended up with, like, 11 interpolations of the original ‘Ghostbusters’ song on that movie… .”

OHMYGOSSIP — News presenter Nick Owen has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The 75-year-old star – who is best known for co-hosting ‘TV-AM’ with Anne Diamond in the 80s – received the diagnosis in April this year, and he is now being treated for the “extensive and aggressive” disease.
He said on ‘BBC Midlands Today’: “I went to a specialist, he wasn’t too worried because my figures weren’t that high. But he decided I ought to have a scan and then the scan said there was something dodgy going on.
“And then he sent me for a biopsy which he did. And the results of that were the killer.
“On April the 13th, a date which will forever be imprinted on my mind.

Ridley Scott regrets stepping down from Blade Runner 2049

OHMYGOSSIP — Ridley Scott regrets not being able to direct the ‘Blade Runner’ sequel.
The 85-year-old filmmaker found himself in a difficult position having to choose between ‘Blade Runner 2049’ and ‘Alien: Covenant’ due to a scheduling clash, and he wishes he’d worked on the follow-up to his 1982 sci-fi classic.
Speaking to Empire magazine, he said: “I shouldn’t have had to make that decision. But I had to. I should have done Blade Runner 2.”
He had initially been announced as director for the sequel in 2011, but later had to step down.
Harrison Ford returned for the follow-up, with Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas and Jared Leto all joining the cast with Denis Villeneuve at the helm.
However, Scott is returning to the dystopian franchise with upcoming Amazon Studios series ‘Blade Runner 2099’.
He added: “I’m one of the producers. It’s all set years on. To me, it circles the idea of Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World.”
Scott has been looking to return to the franchise for a long time now, and back in 2018 he teased the possibility of “another story” to delve into.
He told Digital Spy at the time: “I think there is another story. I’ve got another one ready to evolve and be developed, so there is certainly one to be done for sure.”
Three years later, he revealed a pilot and bible for ‘Blade Runner’ had been made.
He explained to the BBC: “We’re already presenting Blade Runner as a TV show, the first 10 hours.”
Production on the highly anticipated series has reportedly been delayed until spring next year due to the ongoings actors and writers strikes.

David Ayer: James Gunn told me my Suicide Squad cut will have its time to be shared

OHMYGOSSIP — David Ayer’s ‘Suicide Squad’ cut will have its “time to be shared”.
The 55-year-old director helmed the 2016 DC Extended Universe (DCEU) film, which was met with critical reviews, but he has since claimed the final cut is “not my movie”.
Ayer has now insisted DC co-chief James Gunn has reassured him his version of the movie – which starred Jared Leto and Margot Robbie – will “be shared” at some point.
In a lengthy post on X, Ayer wrote: “There’s a genuine curiosity and interest from a lot of people. And I’m aware of there is another group of people that have fun mocking the film. Your comment is a perfect example of how many are magnetically drawn discussion to the 2016 film in a negative way. Have you ever had an experience in life that didn’t until the way you wanted, that dragged you, that made you rethink everything?
I have.
All I know is my unseen film plays much better than the studio release.
The interest in my cut being show seems real and organic. And Gunn told me it would have it’s time to be shared. He absolutely deserves to launch to launch his DC universe without more drama about old projects.
In a way I’m chained to this thing. I’m riding a tiger here and navigating this situation the best I can. Life is a very strange journey.
Welcome to my Ted talk (sic)”
In July 2021, Ayer blasted the studio cut of ‘Suicide Squad’.
In a letter posted on Twitter, he explained: “I put my life into ‘Suicide Squad’. I made something amazing – My cut is an intricate and emotional journey with some ‘bad people’ who are s*** on and discarded (a theme that resonates in my soul).
“The studio cut is not my movie. Read that again. And my cut is not the 10 week director’s cut – It’s a fully mature edit by Lee Smith standing on the incredible work by John Gilroy. It’s all Steven Price’s brilliant score, with not a single radio song in the whole thing.
“It has traditional character arcs, amazing performances, a solid 3rd Act resolution. A handful of people have seen it. If someone says they have seen it, they haven’t.”

Molly-Mae Hague regrets engagement outfit choice

OHMYGOSSIP — Molly-Mae Hague says the only thing she would change about her engagement is her outfit.
Last month, Tommy Fury, 24, surprised Molly-Mae with a proposal during their trip to Ibiza with their daughter Bambi and while Molly-Mae is overjoyed with the engagement, she admitted she wishes she had worn something different to the white jumpsuit she chose.
Speaking on YouTube, she said: “If I could change anything about the engagement I would maybe have worn something else.
“I like to be covered up and I was quite exposed in my outfit. The cleavage and arms are out.
“I had to learn to love myself in the video. I would have covered up more to feel more confident but it made me embrace my body the way it is now after I watched it.”
Molly-Mae, 24, admitted she still can’t believe Tommy managed to surprise her with the proposal, as he usually can’t keep a secret from her.
She said: “So we have been together for four years and we’ve spoken openly about getting engaged. I have always wanted that moment to happen for us.
“But did I have a gut feeling about that weekend in particular in Ibiza absolutely not! Do not ask me why or how as normally I am one step ahead with Tommy.
“I always said to him ‘I’m gutted as I will know about it before it happens’. But I honestly did not have clue, zero idea! I was like how have I been so stupid! He managed to do it! That was the most magical thing that it was such a huge surprise.”
Tommy managed to trick Molly-Mae by pretending they had been invited to Ibiza for a fashion event.
She said: “A week before the trip Fran [Molly-Mae’s manager] called and said I had been invited to an event with Net-a-Porter. And I was buzzing for that and I don’t normally want to leave the house unless it’s for something good.
“She said Tommy and I were invited together. I wanted to go for just one night but Tommy wanted to make it a family trip. We checked into the hotel. I was even told I had an amount to spend on the Net-a-Porter website.
“I picked a white jumpsuit and then got ready in the hotel. In the hotel there was stuff sent from the ‘brand’ with the labels on. There were even fake emails!”

Daniel Brocklebank addresses Coronation Street future

OHMYGOSSIP — Daniel Brocklebank has committed his future to ‘Coronation Street’.
The 43-year-old actor has portrayed vicar Billy Mayhew on the soap since 2014 and he “couldn’t be happier” with his life in Manchester and sees every contract extension as a “gift” because he enjoys his job so much.
He told the ‘Conversation Street’ podcast: “Even if I wasn’t in Corrie I would stay living here now, there’s no way that I would move back down south.
“I couldn’t be happier; I love it up here. I’ve genuinely fallen in love with Manchester, the people, the place and I’ve properly made a home here.
“With every contract that’s offered to me, it feels life a gift. It’s like ‘oh my god, they want me to stay’, and I’m happy to stay.
“Don’t get me wrong, some days it is hard work, you’re working 7 until 7 – and that’s not the prep time, that’s just what you’re shooting.
“Some days you’re in bed by 9pm and I’m up at 5 and then you’ve still got to eat, walk the dogs, clean your house, take your rubbish out, do your laundry, learn your lines, and you’ve still got to have a life.
“But you get into that building and despite how heavy the subject is – which, of course at the moment, is quite happy – you’re incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by the most beautiful group of people.”
Daniel has developed “real beautiful friendships” with his co-stars on the show.
He said: “I know it sounds really w***y, but it is like being in a family, these people are amazing.
“I’ve done this for 30 years and the majority of those 30 years have been spent shooting for six months, doing plays, maybe a couple of years was the longest stretch before ‘Corrie’, I did a couple of years on ‘Emmerdale’.
“To forge real beautiful friendships with people over a massive period of time like I’ve been able to do on Corrie is the biggest gift in the world. It’s beautiful.”
On screen, Daniel would love to see Billy marry Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) following the character’s diagnosis with motor neurone disease.
He said: “What can I say, I am not in control of what is happening in the storylines so we will just have to wait and see.
“They’ve all been lesbian weddings, so maybe we have this one with two men, maybe they’ll actually make it down the aisle.”

The sequel to 2019’s ‘Trauma Therapy’ was directed by Gary Barth and written by Tom Malloy and David Josh Lawrence.
Sizemore appears as himself, the host of a Larry King-like TV talk show called ‘The Tom Sizemore Show’.
Malloy and Lawrence said: “The first ‘Trauma Therapy’ was a really fun exploration into the power that a self-help guru can have and how, if he or she used that power in devious ways, the results could be extreme. We were inspired by the likes of Tony Robbins and how he would make his weekend retreat participants walk on coals.
“For the sequel, we had two goals. One, that it would be a stand-alone film so people could just jump right in, and two, we wanted to amp up the danger and the suspense. The people involved in ‘Trauma Therapy: Psychosis’ would face extreme challenges meant to break them…and all who failed would meet a devious end.”
The movies sees Malloy reprise his role of Tobin Vance, a self-help guru who has been exiled overseas in Scotland.
He recruits a group of patients to attend an intensive retreat, aided by his assistant Elizabeth (Hannah New) and former student John (David Josh Lawrence).
