David Ayer ‘has nothing to show’ for The Fast and the Furious contribution

OHMYGOSSIP — David Ayer has claimed he has “nothing to show” for writing ‘The Fast and the Furious’.
The 55-year-old filmmaker contributed to the screenplay for the first film in the high octane franchise – which originally saw Gary Scott Thompson and Erik Bergquist write drafts based on a Vibe magazine article ‘Racer X’ – but he insisted the nature of Hollywood means he doesn’t reap the rewards.
Appearing on the ‘Real Ones’ podcast, he told host Jon Bernthal: “Biggest franchise in Hollywood, and I don’t have any of it.
“I got nothing to show for it, nothing, because of the way the business works.”
While Thompson and Begquist wrote the drafts, Ayer has claimed he changed the focus to be on the culture he knew in Los Angeles, and ensured there was diversity in the 2001 blockbuster.
He added: “When I got that script, that s*** was set in New York, it was all Italian kids, right?
“I’m like, ‘Bro, I’m not gonna take it unless I can set it in LA and make it look like the people I know in LA, right?’
“So then I started, like, writing in people of color, and writing in the street stuff, and writing in the culture, and no one knew s*** about street racing at the time.”
The franchise has gone onto gross more than $7 billion around the world, with a further 10 films already released and more to come.
However, Ayer insisted “the narrative” is that he “didn’t do s***”.
He explained: “It’s like people hijack narratives, control narratives, create narratives to empower themselves, right? And because I was always an outsider and because, like, I don’t go to the f****** parties.
“I don’t go to the meals, I don’t do any of that stuff. The people that did were able to control and manage narratives because they’re socialised in that part of the problem.
“I was never socialised in that part of the problem so I was always like the dark, creative dude, beware.”
Instead, he’s focused on finding independence in other film projects and cutting out the “middlemen”.
He said: “I can f****** whine about getting shot at and all the rounds I’ve taken over my career — I’ve gotta self-rescue, and I’ve gotta create an ecology where it’s safe for me to be creative, and that’s it. And that’s what I’m doing now.”

Florence Pugh reveals Christopher Nolan apologised for the size of her role in Oppenheimer

OHMYGOSSIP — Florence Pugh has revealed Christopher Nolan apologised for the size of her role in ‘Oppenheimer’.
The director fully expected her to walk away from the role of Jean Tatlock, a Communist Party USA member, and Robert Oppenheimer’s (Cillian Murphy) romantic interest.
However, the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ star admitted she wouldn’t have minded playing an extra in the filmmaker’s epic biographical flick about the titular father of the atomic bomb.
Speaking to MTV UK, Florence said: “I didn’t really know what was going on or what it was that was being made.
“Except I knew that Chris really, really wanted me to know that it wasn’t a very big role, and he understands if I don’t want to come near it. And I was like, ‘Doesn’t matter. Even if I’m a coffee maker at a café in the back of the room, let’s do it.'”
She added: “I remember he apologised for the size of the role. I was like, ‘Please don’t apologise.
“And then he said, ‘We’ll send you the script, and honestly, you just read it and decide if it’s like… I completely understand the sizing thing.’ And I remember that evening when I got the script being like, ‘I don’t need to… I know I’m going to do it.’”
And while her scenes are brief, they are no less impactful.
Cillian recently heaped praise on Florence for her helping to make their sex scenes “so f***ing powerful”.
The movie features “prolonged full nudity” and sex scenes between J. Robert Oppenheimer – who spearheaded the development of the world’s first atomic bomb – and his lover Jean.
And Cillian, 47, says his 27-year-old castmate managed to make quite a “devastating” impact in the few scenes she’s in.
He told The Sydney Morning Herald: “Those scenes were written deliberately.
“He knew that those scenes would get the movie the rating that it got. And I think when you see it, it’s so f***ing powerful. And they’re not gratuitous. They’re perfect. And Florence is just amazing.”
The ‘Peaky Blinders’ star went on to hail Florence’s acting as “f***ing phenomenal”.
He added: “I have loved Florence’s work since ‘Lady Macbeth’ [William Oldroyd’s 2016 period drama about a woman embittered by a loveless marriage] and I think she’s f***ing phenomenal.
“She has this presence as a person and on-screen that is staggering. The impact she has [in ‘Oppenheimer’] for the size of the role, it’s quite devastating.”
Director Christopher Nolan says the sex scenes – the first he’s filmed in his career – were vital because of Oppenheimer’s “very intense relationship” with Jean and his “way with women”.
He explained to Insider: “Well, when you look at Oppenheimer’s life and you look at his story, that aspect of his life, the aspect of his sexuality, his way with women, the charm that he exuded, it’s an essential part of his story. His very intense relationship with Jean Tatlock, played by Florence Pugh, is one of the most important things in his life. But not least for the fact that Jean Tatlock was very explicitly a Communist and his obsession with her therefore had enormous ramifications for his later life and his ultimate fate. So it felt very important to understand their relationship and to really see inside it and understand what made it tick without being coy or allusive about it, but to try to be intimate, to try and be in there with him and fully understand the relationship that was so important to him.”

Gino D’Acampo and Fred Sirieix announce new show without Road Trip co-star Gordon Ramsay

OHMYGOSSIP — Gino D’Acampo and Fred Sirieix are reuniting for a new travel show without Gordon Ramsay.
The trio delighted viewers on ITV show ‘Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip’ but with the programme coming to an end, the latter two stars are working together on new series ‘Emission Impossible’ as they try to journey in a greener fashion.
The synopsis reads: “Inspired by his children, Fred has genuinely become more eco-conscious and his concerns were accelerated by watching his beloved Europe burn in 40-degree temperatures this summer.
“Therefore, he’s determined to re-educate, re-cycle and re-engineer his eco-sceptic sidekick in their own backyard.
“Can they green up their act and become fully petro-flexible modern men, while still enjoying la dolce vita on a rip-roaring food odyssey?”
In Austria, they visit the capital Vienna – which was ranked the world’s greenest city in 2020 – as the country deals with the impact of melting glaciers, and the Croatian islands face the risk of rising sea levels.
The duo will track down “sustainable produce and immersing themselves in environmentally-friendly lifestyles”.
They said in a joint statement: “We’re thrilled to be upcycled by ITV for another action-packed adventure and can’t wait to cook up some fantastic sustainable dishes whilst hopefully stirring up debate around these important issues.
“We might not come up with the recipe to save the planet but we hope to entertain, inform and inspire the audience to think about making changes in their own lives.”
Gino previously shrugged off rumours of a feud with his co-stars after quitting ‘Road Trip’, while last month Fred confirmed the show was over due to schedule conflicts.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Well, you never know… if we can get the dates together perhaps [‘Road Trip’ will return] but we don’t seem to be able to get the dates together.”

‘He broke the list of rules!’ Emmerdale’s Amy Nuttall splits from Andrew Buchanan again

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Nuttall has reportedly split from Andrew Buchanan again.
The 41-year-old actress split from ‘Broadchurch’ actor Andrew, 44, earlier this year after just over a decade of marriage when he was allegedly unfaithful with Leila Farzad but took him back on the condition that he stuck to a list of seven rules.
The seven rules demanded that Andrew have “no contact” with his ‘Better’ co-star Leila, 41, and instead take Amy on a date “every seven days” as well as take her on a weekend away “every seven weeks” but insiders have now claimed that she has called the whole thing off once again after he failed to stick to the list.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “It took a lot for Amy to give the marriage another chance but she thought it was worth one final roll of the dice. There is no suggestion he has cheated again, but as far as she is concerned this is it.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ star – who also demanded access to Andrew’s phone at all times and insisted he FaceTime her whenever he was away – is said to be “gutted” that her marriage has ended after almost 12 years but has “accepted” the situation.
The source added:”She is obviously gutted but also accepts that their time together has come to an end.”
Earlier this year, Amy – who has a daughter and a son with Andrew – was said to have asked for a divorce because the “pain” of Andrew’s alleged affair had been “unbearable” for her.
A source said at the time: “She’s told him she wants a divorce. She’s been publicly humiliated and the pain has been unbearable. Now she’s decided to take back control again and plan her own future. She’s going down the legal route and will get everything she’s entitled to.”

‘I felt a loss when Strictly was over!’ John Whaite on ‘falling in love’ with Johannes Radebe

OHMYGOSSIP — John Whaite felt a “sense of loss” when ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ finished knowing he couldn’t see Johannes Radebe every day.
The 34-year-old TV star – who is engaged to Paul Atkins – finished as runner-up in the 2021 edition of the BBC Latin and Ballroom competition and after admitting that he had “fallen in love” with his professional partner, has now admitted that he “didn’t want to let go” after the show was over.
Writing in his memoir ‘Dancing On Eggshells’, he said: “After that final dance, I hung up my clothes for the last time. I felt a sense of loss. Not because the competition was over, I was knackered and ready for a break, but because I wouldn’t get to see Johannes every single day.
“I watched him as he sat on the window sill of the dressing room drinking a glass of champagne, still sparkling in his bright white show dance outfit. I was jealous of the sweat beads as they shimmered on his beautiful skin. I wanted to be close to him . . . We hugged goodbye, I didn’t want to let go.”
The former ‘Great British Bake Off’ winner went on to add that whilst his co-star was aware of the ‘Strictly Curse’ – a phenomenon which has seen married contestants fall for their professional partners on the show – and was trying to be “cautious” but in the end, John and Paul had to have some time apart.
He said: “Johannes knew that [the curse] could happen. He had seen it a thousand times with his dance companions over the years. When you are physically pressed against another man for ten hours a day, things move emotionally . . .  He was being cautious. Strictly has a magical way of revealing the truth.
“For a while, Paul and I had to have some time apart. I felt like I didn’t know what I wanted from my existence anymore. Paul had moved back with his parents and I thought to myself ‘What the hell are you doing?’
” I was making that childhood premonition of growing old alone come true. Fourteen years in a solid relationship with a man who loves me unconditionally, a man who would move the earth to make me feel safe and I was p***ing all over it.”
The couple got back together but John later revealed that he has had to “sacrifice” his friendship with Johannes for the sake of his relationship with Paul.
John told The Times: “I have to be mindful that there’s more than my own desires to consider here” If it would be tricky for Paul for me to be in contact with Johannes, then it’s a sacrifice that I have to make.”

Emma and Matt Willis will present Love is Blind UK

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma and Matt Willis will front ‘Love Is Blind UK’.
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ host, 47, and Busted drummer Matt, 40, were deemed “perfect” to present the British version of the hit Netflix dating show when it debuts next year – after beating out fellow celebrity couple Rochelle and Marvin Humes – and it is thought that they will mirror their American counterparts Nick and Vanessa Lachey with their presenting skills.
A source told the Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Emma and Matt caught the attention of show bosses following their documentary about Matt’s addiction battle – this was later boosted by ‘Cooking With The Stars’.
“They were perfect for ‘Love Is Blind UK’, but still had competition from famous couples, including Marvin and Rochelle Humes.”
Emma and Matt – who have daughters Isabelle, 13, Trixie, seven, and son Ace, 11 – recently admitted they were “grateful and overwhelmed” when the BBC One documentary ‘Matt Willis: Fighting Addiction’ was nominated for a National Television Award, which explored his life living with substance abuse problems and his journey to get and stay sober.

We’ve just found out… it’s been SHORTLISTED for Best Authored Doc!! We’re both so grateful and overwhelmed by the recognition.”
“Openly discussing addiction wasn’t easy for Matt, but seeing the impact it’s had, and hearing all of your stories makes every moment really worth it. So many of you on commented on socials and bumping into people when out and about.. it’s clear how prevalent these issues are, though so rarely spoken about. Definitely a reminder that we need to keep these conversations alive. Voting is open now.”

Taylor Swift joins soundtrack of upcoming British TV series

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift has debuted ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ for the soundtrack of ‘Wilderness’.
The 33-year-old superstar has teased what the as-yet-to-be-released rerecord of her 2017 sixth studio album ‘Reputation’ by lending its lead single to the TV series – which is based on the book by B.E Jones and stars Jenna Coleman, 37, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen, 36, and is set to air next month on Amazon Prime – amid her effort to take back ownership of her entire back catalogue after Scott Borchetta, 61, the head of her former record label Big Machine sold her masters to Scooter Braun, 42.
A source told the Daily Star’s Hot TV column: “The series is about a woman who discovers her husband is having an affair and then seeks revenge. ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ is the perfect soundtrack.”
Taylor – who is set to kick off the South American leg of her sold out Eras tour in Mexico this weekend and has already dropped the Taylor’s Versions of three of her LPs ,’Fearless’, ‘Red’ and ‘Speak Now’ – ended her first run of US dates with the news of the re-release of her first pivot to pop, 2014’s ‘1989’ later this year and hasn’t even mentioned her plans for ‘Reputation’, so fans were surprised to get the snippet on the story boasting “revenge”
The series description reads: “Based on B E Jones’s novel of the same name, ‘Wilderness’ features British couple Liv and Will who seem to have it all: a rock-solid marriage; a glamorous new life in New York thousands of miles from their provincial hometown; and still young enough to feel that their whole lives are ahead of them. Until Liv learns about Will’s affair.
“Heartbreak is swiftly followed by another emotion: fury. Revenge is her only option, and when Will proposes a trip around America’s epic National Parks to give their relationship a fresh start, Liv knows just how to get it… Wilderness is a twisted love story, where a dream holiday and a supposedly “happily-ever-after” quickly turns into a living nightmare.”
Marnie Dickens, the show’s creator, said: “Who doesn’t know someone who’s been cheated on? That gut punch on discovery, the trail of paranoia and suspicion it leaves behind, the difficulty of trusting again. It’s enough to tip anyone over the edge. And that’s where we meet our heroine, Liv, as she’s lied to over and over by the man she loves. Of course, she wants revenge, and I, for one, hope she gets it.”

Rebel Moon director Zack Snyder embraces Star Wars comparisons

OHMYGOSSIP — Zack Snyder welcomes the comparisons between ‘Rebel Moon’ and ‘Star Wars’.
The 57-year-old filmmaker has helmed the upcoming Netflix sci-fi epic ‘Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire’ (with a sequel set to follow next year) and is aware of the inevitable links with George Lucas’ world-famous franchise.
Speaking to Screen Rant, Zack said: “I don’t think you can make a sci-fi movie now that’s not going to be compared to a ‘Star Wars’ movie in some way.
“So I do welcome and am happy to discuss where its place is or where it will end up in popular culture in regard to the legacy of ‘Star Wars’ and how ‘Star Wars’ has the lion’s share of creative thinking when it comes to audiences and their love of the ‘Star Wars’ universe and that evolution.”
The ‘Army of the Dead’ director is relieved, however, that he does not have to deal with the pressure of following the existing ‘Star Wars’ canon and impressing the franchise’s expectant fan base.
Zack explained: “The fan base basically aged with the movies and then had children that then also became fans of the movie and their children had children that became fans of the movie.
“I do also understand the love of it and how canonised it is and actually how immobile it is which is probably why I’m here now doing it the way I’m doing it. We have no rules except for the ones we make.”
Snyder is grateful that Netflix have let him split ‘Rebel Moon’ into two parts as it allows the audience to get a broader view of the characters and setting.
He said: “I think by letting it be two movies, it really let us kind of have a lot more character and a lot more worlds to visit and just be more overall exotic and unexpected.”

Denzel Washington could be de-aged for The Equalizer origin story

OHMYGOSSIP — Denzel Washington could be de-aged for an origin story in ‘The Equalizer’ film franchise.
The 68-year-old actor is reprising his role as vigilante ex-hitman Robert McCall in ‘The Equalizer 3’ and director Antoine Fuqua revealed that he contemplated using the AI technology in the new movie.
Antoine told NME: “I definitely thought about it a lot. Especially now with the new technology and the AI and all of that kind of stuff… Is there a story to be told how (McCall) became this person – the younger version.
“I’ve had the conversation with Richard Wenk (writer of all three ‘The Equalizer’ films) quite a bit.”
De-aging technology has been used in popular movies such as ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ and ‘The Irishman’ although Fuqua is not clear where Washington stands on the practice.
The ‘Olympus Has Fallen’ director said: “I haven’t talked to Denzel about that yet.
“It’s all so fresh and new. I’m still watching (the technology). I’ve watched Harrison Ford’s film and I know there are other movies coming out. I think Sony has one coming out with Tom Hanks soon (‘Here’). And I’m hearing the technology is getting better and better and better. So I’m kind of watching it to see where it goes.”
‘The Equalizer 3’ finds McCall in a small Italian town where he discovers that his new friends are living in fear of the local mafia and Fuqua explained that viewers will see a “darker” version of the character in this picture after the events of previous installments.
He said: “The first film was about (McCall) finding a purpose. And it’s very external, right? He’s helping people.
“The second one is more about making peace with his past. He’s betrayed by his friends and (his colleague) dies and his wife has passed away… And then this one is more of a moral dilemma because he’s a darker character… he’s struggling with the violence and the brutality (of his actions).”

Strictly pros desperate to be paired with Zara McDermott and Bobby Brazier

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’s professionals are all desperate to be paired with Zara McDermott and Bobby Brazier.
After some early training sessions, the show’s professional dancers have been hugely impressed with ‘Love Island’ star Zara, 26, and ‘EastEnders’ actor Bobby, 20, and there is huge competition to land one of them as a partner.
A source told The Sun: “Zara and Bobby are absolutely the favourites.
“All the dancers want to be paired with them because they both have serious potential on the dance floor.
“There’s a battle going on between the pros as they all try to convince bosses to get the best pairing.
“They know their airtime is largely dependent on how talented their celebrity pairing is, so everything is to play for at this stage.”
However, Gorka Marquez, 32, is said to have his eye on another contestant.
He is reportedly keen to work with former ‘Coronation Street’ star Ellie Leach, 22, as they could train in Manchester, close to where Gorka lives with his fiancée Gemma Atkinson and their children.
Meanwhile, older contestants Les Dennis, 69, and Angela Rippon, 78, have surprised the dancers with their skills.
One insider said: “Les Dennis raised a few eyebrows. He won’t be the joke act at all. He’s serious.
“And Angela Rippon surprised everyone with how swift she was across the dance floor.”
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ partnerships will be announced in the coming weeks and the show will start in September on BBC One.

Frankie Bridge forgives husband Wayne for skipping her play

OHMYGOSSIP — Frankie Bridge has forgiven her husband Wayne Bridge for skipping her play to see Liam Gallagher perform instead.
The former The Saturdays star made her West End debut in ‘2:22 A Ghost Story’ at London’s Apollo Theatre this month but when the curtain went up for the press night her partner Wayne was not in the audience – because he was seeing the former Oasis star perform a solo gig at the Koko venue across town.
However, Frankie has no hard feelings about the snub. She told The Sun newspaper: “It wasn’t an issue for me. He had a Liam Gallagher concert booked and he and his friends are all big fans, so I was like, ‘I’ll let you off’.
“His whole upbringing was around Oasis and it was a small and intimate gig, but he came and met me afterwards.”
Frankie has spent most of the summer working on the play and she admitted she’s sad to have missed the holidays with her two sons Parker, 10, and Carter, eight.
She added: “Normally we’d go away for the summer holidays, but at least I get to spend the mornings with them before I go to the theatre.”
Other stars to have previously appeared in ‘2:22 A Ghost Story’ include fellow former girl band star Cheryl, former ‘Love Island’ presenter ‘Laura Whitmore’ and ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’ winner Giovanna Fletcher.
Frankie added her decision to take on such a new and daunting role shows how far she’s come after spending years battling depression and anxiety.
She concluded: “I’m really good. The fact that I took on this play speaks volumes as to how far I’ve come in confidence and being able to throw myself into new situations.”

Rob Delaney on strike: “We will win, so the studios might as well just skip to the inevitable and we can all get back to work’

OHMYGOSSIP — Rob Delaney is confident that SAG-AFTRA “will win” their dispute.
Last month, the American actors’ union went on strike over an ongoing dispute with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers and Rob, 46, is confident that a win for SAG-AFTRA is “inevitable and we can all get back to work”.
When asked during an interview with The Observer Magazine about his role in the latest ‘Mission: Impossible’ film with Tom Cruise, Rob replied: “I can’t tell you about any of that because of the strike – but that’s good because somebody will read this and they’ll be disappointed, and they’ll complain to the studio. You only need the tiniest bit of labour history to learn that we will win, so the studios might as well just skip to the inevitable and we can all get back to work.”
Rob stars in ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part On’ alongside Tom, Hayley Atwell, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Shea Whigham, Pom Klementieff, Rob Delaney, Cary Elwes, Indira Varma, Mark Gatiss, Charles Parnell, Greg Tarzan Davis and Frederick Schmidt.
The movie is Cruise’s seventh outing as IMF agent Ethan Hunt and he previously spoke about the incredible stunts he has done for the franchise.
Speaking at the premiere of the movie in London in July, before the actors’ strike, Tom said: “When I train there’s so much going on and time expands. When I’m dropping, that six seconds feels short and long.
“I look at buildings here and I think I could climb that building! Where do I start!
“I’ve always wanted to travel the world and work with different cultures and celebrate them and ‘Mission: Impossible’ really allows that. It’s a wonderful privilege to be able to do it.”

Suicide Squad director David Ayer regrets Joker’s tattoo

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Suicide Squad’ director David Ayer regrets giving Jared Leto’s Joker character a controversial tattoo.
The character was seen in the 2016 film with the word ‘Damaged’ inked across his forehead, but he has now admitted the tattoo was a bad idea and he should have done things differently.
In a post on X – the platform formerly known as Twitter – he wrote: “I own the tattoo idea 100 per cent. It was my choice. Original idea is it would say ‘Blessed’ and not ‘Damaged.’
“Now having said that – I regret that decision. It created acrimony and division. Not every idea is a good idea. And I’ll just be in the corner here while the internet slaps me around for this post.”
David has previously been calling for a director’s cut of the movie to be release, however, studio bosses have insisted it won’t happen.
After a movie journalist posted a tweet stating: “The version of #SuicideSquad that we’ve all seen was not the movie @DavidAyerMovies wanted to release,” the director responded by tweeting: “This is a good question. My cut would be easy to complete. It would be incredibly cathartic for me. It’s exhausting getting your ass kicked for a film that got the Edward Scissorhands treatment. The film I made has never been seen.”
He also tweeted a picture of Leto in character, adding: “Jared killed it. But no one knows.”
Ayer’s movie was followed by a standalone sequel directed by James Gunn called ‘The Suicide Squad’ in 2021, but the Leto did not reprise his role as Batman’s nemesis who was also played by Joaquin Phoenix in a separate movie called ‘Joker’ in 2019.

New dating show inspired by David Haye’s ‘throuple’

OHMYGOSSIP — E4 is launching a dating show inspired by Una Healy’s “throuple” with David Haye and Sian Osborne.
The racy TV show will feature six single people spending two days texting potential romantic partners, before choosing one for a blind date, after which they will move in together.
However, in a shocking twist, the rejected suitor will also move in to the home, leading to some wild antics.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz: “‘Love Triangle’ will be full of twists, turns and bombshells. It will put ‘Love Island’ to shame when it comes to the amount of drama.
“They have scoured the UK for singletons to take part and there are some big characters, so there is plenty of passion. Living in a love triangle will put the singletons under pressure. But that can often bring people together.”
Channel 4 commissioning editor Lee McMurray said: “When it comes to romance, most of us have a type we want, who often disappoints.
“We fail to spot the match we need, who could make us truly happy.
“I’m confident British audiences will be gripped by this radical rejection of our current looks-based, swipe-right dating culture.”
Meanwhile, Una previously claimed she had been through the “worst six months” of her life because of the attention her so-called throuple with David and Sian attracted.
Una – who has two children with ex-husband Ben Foden – told Ireland’s Sunday Times newspaper: “It’s been the worst six months of my life you know. I just want it to be over and put it all behind me. I really thought it would fade away but it’s gone on so long and it’s still going. I’m hoping now, that by speaking about it, a line can be drawn and it can finally be over….
“I feel like I can’t escape from it. It won’t go away. There were only ever two photos of us together and I haven’t seen him since January but it just goes on and on. I was literally just living my normal life down in Thurles but there was this whole other existence that the tabloids were pushing, one of me in this relationship that wasn’t real.
“It has been relentless, and it was really upsetting. I constantly have this horrible gut feeling all the time. I haven’t committed a crime, I haven’t killed anyone but the abuse online has been horrific.”

Kerry Katona baffled by backlash to This Morning interview

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona didn’t understand what she did wrong during her disastrous 2008 interview on ‘This Morning’.
The 42-year-old star was accused by viewers of being intoxicated as she slurred her words while being interviewed by Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton on the ITV1 daytime show and Kerry admitted she was puzzled by the outrage.
Speaking on Slingo’s Getting Lippy Gossip Show, she said: “After my ‘This Morning’ interview you thought I’d killed somebody and I’m just like I don’t understand what it is I’ve done so wrong?
“I’ve had speech therapy and I’ve got a lazy tongue and with my ADHD and way I talk sometimes I don’t pronounce the words properly. Then you put in the medication I was on and your speech is slurred and it’s like ‘oh she’s this, she’s that’.”
Kerry – who has children Molly, 21, Lilly-Sue, 20, Heidi, 16, Max, 14, and eight-year-old DJ – also revealed she was left feeling suicidal after the backlash from the interview but remained strong for her kids.
She explained: “I witnessed my mum slit her wrists from the age of three. She was always trying to kill herself and I said I’ll never do that to my children.
“But there were times I actually wanted to take my… I’m gonna cry… but I would never do that to my kids.
“Because I feel like that’s where my lack of self worth came from because I was never good enough for me mum. I never want my kids to feel like that.”
And, Kerry said she is her “own hero” after turning her life around.
She said: “I got more known for my downfalls. There’s so many times I should be dead, times I was suicidal because I had nowhere to run.
“I now have this platform and I feel like I’ve been a beacon of harassment, bullying mockery, torment and I’ve got through it and you know what it took me to the age of 36 to realise that your opinion doesn’t matter, it’s not my business what you think about me, all that matters is what my kids think of me and before that I was in a pity party.
“I just feel like I’m here for a reason and that reason is to give people hope because I never had that hope. There was nobody like me who I looked up to.
“And it sounds really narcissistic and egotistic if people go ‘who did you look up to, who’s your hero?’ me I am my own hero because no one helped me – be your own hero.”

Julia Bradbury felt ‘horribly damaged’ after mastectomy

OHMYGOSSIP — Julia Bradbury found it difficult to look at herself after her mastectomy.
The 53-year-old TV presenter was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2021, one year after being told a lump on her breast was just a benign group of microcysts, and she admitted she struggled with her altered appearance after surgery.
Writing in the Daily Mail newspaper, she said: “What I found the hardest —impossible, for a while — was looking at myself so horribly damaged. It was nearly Christmas, eight weeks post-mastectomy, when I finally plucked up the courage to look at my reflection in a full-length mirror.
“My nipple had been saved and my left breast had been reconstructed with a silicone prosthetic, but it was still scarred, swollen and angry.
“We all deal with trauma in different ways, but I think one of the most important things you can do is to accept it as best you can. Own it. Figure out a way to go on. And make sure you ask other people to help you.”
However, despite her reservations about her altered appearance, Julia insists “cancer saved [her] life”.
Julia – who has written a book ‘Walk Yourself Happy: Find Your Path To Health And Healing In Nature’ – explained: “Cancer saved my life. That may seem a strange thing to say, but it opened my eyes to what I was doing to myself. Before diagnosis, everything I did was at breakneck speed.
