Former Love Island star Jack Fincham ‘arrested on suspicion of drug-driving’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Fincham has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving and having false plates on his car.
The 31-year-old reality star – who shot to fame in 2018 when he won ‘Love Island’ alongside then-girlfriend Dani Dyer – was stopped in Swanley, Kent, on August 26th and gave a blood test.
According to The Sun newspaper, he was also held on suspicion of careless driving and driving without insurance.
Jack was released under investigation until November 26th.
He has not been charged with drug-driving and denies drug consumption.
Jack’s solicitor Conor Johnstone, of M.A.J Law, said: “Mr Fincham has not been charged with drug driving and denies any drug consumption whatsoever.
“There is no evidence at this stage that Mr Fincham drove whilst over the legal limit and we are hopeful that his blood results will prove the same.”
A source also told the publication he was using private plates, rather than false plates.
In May, father-of-one Jack told how he manifested his ‘Love Island’ victory.
During the series, he kept a note in his wallet that read: “I Jack Fincham am going to win Love Island 2018.”
Speaking from Robert Hisee’s Holistic Retreat in Marbella, the star said: “I had the note in my wallet so it was with me every day.
“I used to say to myself day in day out when I went into ‘Love Island’ I knew I was going to win it but after the win, I never had another goal to move onto to raise my standards.”
But now, Jack’s new dream is to become “one of the biggest actors in the UK” following his cinematic debut in the crime flick ‘The Last Heist’ in 2022.
He said: “One of my goals is to become an actor, so a new affirmation of mine is saying, ‘I am one of the biggest actors in the UK.’ ”

‘Proud I managed hot!’ Pregnant Hannah Cooper eats spicy Nando’s to try to induce her labour

OHMYGOSSIP — Hannah Cooper is eating spicy food to try to induce her labour.
The 32-year-old model – who is expecting her first child with her ‘The Masked Singer’ host husband Joel Dommett, 38 – is trying various tactics in an attempt to hurry her and Joel’s unborn baby along, including chowing down on a hot grade Nando’s.
She said on Instagram: “Screw the vindaloo, proud I managed HOT if I’ll be honest I might go Extra HOT next time! (sic)”
Hannah admitted she was also engaging with some “food porn” to raise her Oxytocin levels, to increase the chances of her waters breaking.
This comes after Joel recently revealed Hannah is ready to pop at any moment.
Speaking ahead of the National Television Awards (NTAs), which he hosted last week, Joel told Fleur East, 35, on the ‘Hits Radio Breakfast Show’: “Hannah is very much ready to give birth! She hasn’t given birth as of now so that’s great news for me as I’m sure the production team are ready to replace me at any moment.
“I think I have a stand-in, but they won’t tell me who it is. I assume they’ll be there tonight but that’s the best thing about the NTAs – if it does happen during the ceremony everyone who could replace me is there right in front of me.
“At the moment we think she’s just going to come and hang in the dressing room because – I’ll be honest on Hits Radio – we couldn’t find a dress.
“And she’s so pregnant now – she’s six foot tall and essentially with another human being underneath her stomach – and dresses don’t come in that size. You put them on and you look like Mrs Doubtfire.”

Matt Willis knows he is ‘capable’ of staying ‘clean and sober’ on tour

OHMYGOSSIP — TV presenter Emma Willis “worries” about her husband Matt Willis potentially relapsing while on tour with Busted.
The ‘Matt Willis: Fighting Addiction’ documentary star knows how “dangerous” heading on the road to perform with his fellow ‘Year 3000’ hitmakers Charlie Simpson, 38, and James Bourne, 40, could be, due to there being a relapse potential, but he is confident of staying “clean and sober”, and is glad for his wife’s support.
The 40-year-old musician told Tom Bryant’s ‘Men in Mind’ podcast: “Being on tour has been a moment of relapse for me again and again and again. Our life is really great … and a lot of people say to me, ‘Matt, why do you put yourself in a dangerous situation?’
“And it’s because I love it, and I really do, and I feel passionate about it, and I’m capable of doing that clean and sober. I am.
“Emma understandably worries about that, but I think she can see the work that I put in. She can see where I am, and see how open I am about everything.”
Matt – who has daughters Isabelle, 13, Trixie, seven, and son Ace, 11, with the ex ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ presenter – admitted he previously struggled to open up about his issues, but has since realised that was “not the right move”.
He said: “I never really talked to anybody really, I just kept everything to myself, which was not the right move.
“I was struggling for so many years, but I kind of didn’t want to ever let on, because I didn’t want anyone to think I wasn’t coping. I knew how important it was and what it all meant for everybody. And I kind of felt this pressure to keep my face on.
“If you talk to anybody who was around in those days, I was the last one in bed, the first one on the bus. I was always really trying to prove that I was okay, when I was the one who was falling to pieces.”

Martin Compston hints new Line of Duty is on the way after WhatsApp group change

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Compston has dropped a huge hint a new season of ‘Line of Duty’ could be in the works.
The 39-year-old actor – who plays Detective Inspector Steve Arnott in the BBC One police drama – admitted the show’s creator Jed Mercurio, 57, had added a load of the cast to a new group chat, and the group name was changed to “Line of Duty 7″, hinting a seventh season could be coming soon.
He said on the latest episode of his podcast ‘Restless Natives’: “We have got a WhatsApp group that was ‘Line of Duty 6’ and a while ago Jed changed the name of it to ‘Line of Duty 7’.
“What I love about it is we have never spoken about it since. We have had such a good run with it, and a bit of you does go, ‘Let’s walk away on a high,’ but we all want to work together again because we are so close.”
But Martin confessed a new season wouldn’t happen “for the sake of it”.
He said: “We wouldn’t do it just for the sake of it. It would have to add to the series, it would have to make the series better.”
Martin stars opposite Adrian Dunbar, 65, and Vicky McClure, 40, who play Ted Hastings and Kate Fleming respectively, in the series.
In June, the star admitted he is so “proud” to be one of the main stars in Jed’s BBC police drama and will have no hesitation in reprising his role for a seventh series.
He told the ‘Celtic View’ podcast: “I’ve got lovely management in America who tell me every year, ‘This has to be your last one’. But I’m really proud of the show, and if that’s the best that I’ll ever do, then so be it.”

Linda Blair acted as advisor on The Exorcist: Believer

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Exorcist’ star Linda Blair worked as a special advisor on new sequel ‘The Exorcist: Believer’.
The hotly anticipated horror movie from Blumhouse Productions acts as a direct sequel to the 1973 classic, in which Linda starred as Regan MacNeil, a 12-year-old girl who is possessed by the demon Pazuzu.
Ellen Burstyn has returned to the franchise to play Regan’s mother Chris MacNeil, 50 years after the original film, and now director David Gordon Green has revealed that Linda was on-set to help child actresses Lidya Jewett and Olivia Marcum, who are the new victims of Pazuzu in the movie,
Speaking to Total Film magazine, Green said: “She came to set because she was an advisor on the movie… because we’re dealing with young people, and we want to take them to dangerous places safely. I was really lucky to have her read the script, but she was not interested in a significant role and stepping back into that.“
Although Linda does not reprise her role in ‘The Exorcist: Believer’, Regan’s possession and exorcism plays a major part in the plot with Leslie Odom Jr’s character Victor Fielding reaching out to Chris to help save his daughter from the demon.
The official synopsis for ‘The Exorcist: Believer’ reads: “Since the death of his pregnant wife in a Haitian earthquake 12 years ago, Victor Fielding has raised their daughter on his own. But when Angela and her friend Katherine, disappear in the woods, only to return three days later with no memory of what happened to them, it unleashes a chain of events that will force Victor to confront the nadir of evil and, in his terror and desperation, seek out the only person alive who has witnessed anything like it before: Chris MacNeil.”
Ahead of the release of ‘The Exorcist: Believer’ on October 6, Blumhouse and Universal have already confirmed that sequel ‘The Exorcist: Deceiver’ will be in cinemas on April 18, 2025.
Green – who directed Blumhouse’s recent ‘Halloween’ trilogy – has confirmed that there are already “scripts, outlines, and things like that” two more ‘Exorcist’ films.

‘I’m not sure I’m good enough’ Kate Garraway breaks down in tears as she talks caring for Derek

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Garraway has told how she doesn’t think she is “good enough” to care for her husband Derek Draper.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter broke down in tears as she revealed Derek – who has needed around-the-clock care since a near-fatal battle with COVID-19 in 2020, which left him with major organ damage – suffered an infection over the last couple of weeks, but he now seems “brighter in himself”.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, she said: “I feel like I’m holding a life in my hands … and I’m just not sure I’m good enough for that really.
“Derek had a really good day yesterday.
“He had an infection over the last couple of weeks which is receding, he seemed brighter in himself and very present because the cognition is very variable.”
Kate says her and Derek’s kids, Darcy, 17, and Billy, 14, have been “unbelievable” with him since he was struck down with COVID and has had to deal with the after-effects ever since.
She said: “He is most alive when they [the children] are around, and they are unbelievable …
“I haven’t really talked about them and they’ve had their own traumas, but that’s not my story to tell, and maybe one day they’ll tell it.
“I want to protect them in that way, but they’ve been amazing with him in their different ways.
“It’s their love and the love of the carers too, because I do have help … and when people focus on that, things do get better don’t they?”
Kate also admitted it was “surreal” when Derek was recently well enough to attend an Elton John concert and received a surprise dedication.
She added: “It was surreal! He [Elton] was thanking all these incredible people and we’d just come back in the room because Derek had had a moment where he just couldn’t cope, and we got him into a dark room and we nearly said ‘we’re going home’, but then we brought him back and had just settled down and suddenly, I mean, watch it!”

Craig Revel Horwood drops Strictly departure hint – and it’s not far away

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Revel Horwood has hinted he could depart ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in two years.
The 58-year-old judge on the star-studded BBC One Latin and ballroom competition has admitted he wants to “hang up [his] shoes and enjoy life” when he hits 60, as he reflected on being the same age as the late Len Goodman was when he started as a panellist on the programme back in 2004.
The television personality told Best magazine: “I’m working hard while I can, especially as I love what I do. It keeps me on my toes, darlings!
“I’m now the same age as the late, great Len Goodman was when he first started – that’s scary, isn’t it?!”
Craig admitted the reason he loves working on the show – which is fronted by Claudia Winkleman, 51, and Tess Daly, 54 – is because the new cast of celebrity contestants keep the show fresh each year.
This year’s crop of stars includes ‘EastEnders’ star Bobby Brazier, 20, TV presenter Angela Scanlon, 39, and ‘Channel 4 News’ anchor Krishnan Guru-Murthy, 53.
He said: “The reason I look forward to it every year is because the cast changes. I think that’s what’s fun about it, it doesn’t age. And this year’s line-up is fab-u-lous!”
The West End star – who is engaged to Jonathan Myring – previously admitted his marriage to his ex-wife could have seen him become a family man “without a shadow of a doubt”.
Craig told Kaye Adams, 60, on her podcast ‘How to Be 60’: “If that relationship had worked out, I could have seen a life where I would have been married to a woman and had kids, without a shadow of a doubt.”

Alan Moore gives DC Comics royalties to Black Lives Matter

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Moore no longer receives royalty cheques from DC Comics for films and television series based on his comic books and instead asked the company to give the money to Black Lives Matter.
The 69-year-old English author – who is responsible for creating iconic comics such as ‘Watchmen’, ‘V for Vendetta’, ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’ and ‘From Hell’ among others – is unhappy with the direction that DC has taken with the film adaptations of their characters and so has given up his payments to BLM, the organisation which was founded in 2013 and aims to highlight racism and inequality experienced by black people.
Black Lives Matter came to prominence during the 2020 protests that occurred in the wake of the death of George Floyd, who was killed whilst being arrested by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph newspaper, Moore said: “I no longer wish it to even be shared with them. I don’t really feel, with the recent films, that they have stood by what I assumed were their original principles. So I asked for DC Comics to send all of the money from any future TV series or films to Black Lives Matter.”
Moore is not proud that his work acted as the catalyst for the “gentrification of comics that happened post-‘Watchmen'” and he never envisioned that comics would become entertainment for adults as opposed to their original youthful audience.
He said: “Now they’re called ‘graphic novels’, which sounds sophisticated and you can charge a lot more for them. What appealed to me most about comics is no more, and these innocent and inventive and imaginative superhero characters from the Forties, Fifties, Sixties are being recycled to a modern audience as if they were adult fare.”
“I didn’t mean my experiments with comics to be immediately taken up as something that the whole industry should do. When I was doing things like ‘Watchmen’, I was not saying that dark psychopathic characters are really cool, but that does seem to be the message that the industry took for the next 20 years.”

“I was born 02/09/23 at 06.03am and weighed 6.10lbs.
“My mummy and daddy are sooo in happy and in love with me, this is our first week together.
“I’m sorry it’s taken me some time to introduce myself, I hurt mummy a little bit and scared daddy too (oops) we’re all now recovering well at home. (sic)”
Laura and Gary, 41, ended their romance earlier this year, when the actor admitted to being “gutted” about their break-up.
The soap star told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “It’s been really hard and I’m devastated it’s over romantically.
“I think the world of her.”
Despite this, Gary insisted that he won’t stop loving Laura, who appeared on ‘Love Island’ back in 2018.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star shared: “I know Laura was over the moon (about the baby). However, things aren’t as I’d have loved them to be.
“I’m a romantic, so I want things to be perfect. I’ll always want that fairytale, but as you get older, you have to realise it doesn’t always work out.
“I’m really gutted. I haven’t stopped loving her and I won’t stop loving her.”
Gary also revealed that he’s determined to become the best co-parent possible.
He said: “I would have loved things to have worked out.
“But we’re doing our best to do things right and be responsible, loving co-parents going forward.”

‘It is exhausting’: Joe Swash gets candid on the demands of raising six kids

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Swash and Stacey Solomon are constantly “exhausted” due to the demands of their large family.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actor is dad to son Harry, 16, from a previous relationship and he also has Rex, four, Rose, 15 months, and seven-month-old Belle with the ‘Loose Women’ star, as well as being stepdad to her other sons, Zac, 15, and Leighton, 11, and though he admitted life is always hectic, they wouldn’t change a thing.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It is exhausting, but I think your body just adapts to your situation. So after you’ve had three kids, four, five or six makes no difference.
“Me and Stacey have been tired for so long now that it’s become the norm.”
And the couple are thankful their elder sons are happy to help out with their younger siblings.
Joe said: “Our older kids are a godsend, they really help out. They’re always helping with dinner, they help feed the kids, they’re amazing.
“We’re really proud of our kids, how they all muck in and help – and we don’t ask them either, it’s all done out of love. It’s lovely to see.”
The 41-year-old star and his wife have arranged their schedules so one is always off when the other is working.
He said: “Me and Stacey work quite a lot, but whenever we’re not working, we want to be together with the kids. So the idea is, whenever I’m working, Stacey’s at home and whenever Stacey’s working, I’m at home.
“We try and do that as much as possible, so whenever we get the opportunity to spend time as a family together, we generally do that…
“It’s difficult, but we’ve both got to work. It is what it is, but we wouldn’t change it. There’s so much love in this house for all these kids. We think we’re really lucky.”

Hannah Spearritt ‘to join Dancing On Ice’

OHMYGOSSIP — Hannah Spearritt has reportedly signed up for the next series of ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The S Club star is said to have agreed to be among the famous faces taking part in the ITV skating show when it returns to TV in the new year and she’s reportedly already started training to make sure she’s ready to hit the ice.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Hannah is raring to go for Dancing On Ice and is working hard in training. Things have been tough with Hannah over the past 12 months and she hopes that appearing on the show will give her a much needed boost.
“Hannah is a seasoned performer and a great dancer so there is a good chance that she could go far in the series, as long as she nails the skating.”
The news comes after Hannah confirmed she’ll be releasing a tell-all book about her time in the pop group called ‘Facing the Music’ and it will launch on the same day her bandmates head out on their new tour.
The tome is scheduled to hit shelves on October 12. Hannah had previously been due to take part in the reunion shows but it was later announced she wouldn’t be joining her bandmates on the road. News of her exit came shortly after the death of bandmember Paul Cattermole, who passed away in April, aged 46.
Speaking to The Sun over the summer, bandmate Jon Lee insisted Hannah is welcomed back at any time. He said: She’s not going to be joining us on this tour but like I said, we’ve got loads of stuff that’s happening next year so the door is always open.
“She might join us on the project next year at some point.”
S Club’s tour will feature Jon alongside Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara and Tina Barrett.

Patricia Arquette used Gonzo Girl to explore addiction and co-dependency

OHMYGOSSIP — Patricia Arquette used ‘Gonzo Girl’ to explore the “nebulous nature of addiction and co-dependency”.
The actress made her directorial debut taking charge of the new film which is based on the book of the same name by Cheryl Della Pietra and is inspired by the story of the author’s time spent working as assistant to writer Hunter S. Thompson – and Arquette has insisted she wanted to use the movie to bring a fresh perspective to his life story.
Speaking at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada, she said the movie questions “What is the commodity of beauty?” She added: “[It was] a look at the nebulous nature of addiction and co-dependency and how your move through your boundaries.”
The director went on to say: “I thought it was interesting to be an artist and trapped in your own celebrity. The world wants to keep you in that box and doesn’t want you to break out.”
“When does co-dependency go to the max? … When is it you’ve done so many years of self-abandonment? I thought it was interesting to see that that gambit.”
The film stars Camila Morrone as assistant Alley Russo and also features Willem Dafoe and Sean Penn. Deadline.com reports Arquette had initially been asked to act in the film but later took charge of the project after the original director dropped out and the movie was eventually shot in just 21 days.
‘Gonzo Girl’ secured an interim agreement from the SAG-AFTRA actors union which allowed the cast to attend the film festival screening amid the ongoing actors and writers strike which has brought Hollywood to a standstill.
During the event Arquette threw her support behind all of the striking writers and actors, wearing a large SAG-AFTRA to the event and telling journalists: “We very much support our union, it’s a very important strike for us.”

‘Pay her the money’: Kevin Williamson wants Neve Campbell back in Scream

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Williamson wants Neve Campbell to return for ‘Scream 7’.
The 49-year-old actress played Sidney Prescott in the first five films in the franchise but didn’t return for this year’s sixth installment due to a salary dispute, and the series creator has urged producers to meet her financial demands in order to bring her back.
Speaking on the ‘Happy Horror Time’ podcast, Kevin said: “I know her well. I love and adore her, and that’s what she did and it’s great for her.
“I love everyone involved with ‘Scream’ and all I can say is pay her the money. Yes, you heard it, everyone. That’s what I would do. I would give her that.
“One day, they’ll figure that all out.”
Neve explained in June 2022 that she had declined an offer to appear in ‘Scream VI’ because she felt it “did not equate to the value” she has added to the movie series.
She said: “As a woman I have had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my value, especially when it comes to ‘Scream’.
“I felt the offer that was presented to me did not equate to the value I have brought to the franchise.”
And she later noted that if she “were a man and had done five installments of a huge blockbuster franchise over 25 years,” her offer would have been different.
She added: “In my soul, I just couldn’t do that. I couldn’t walk on set feeling that — feeling undervalued and feeling the unfairness, or lack of fairness, around that.”
Never previously explained she felt it would be a mistake for her character to be killed off because of what she represents.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “I think it is important [that she never becomes a victim in these movies]. She does represent a certain amount of strength and lack of victimhood, and that means a great deal to people.
“I’ve had a lot of people come up to me in the past and just say that she inspired them in some way or helped them in their lives in some way, which is not what you normally expect when you’re performing in a horror film. I certainly would hate to see Sidney fall. I think it would be the wrong message.”

Ken Dodd’s widow haunted by his ghost

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Ken Dodd’s widow is being haunted by his ghost.
The comedy legend died in 2018 at the age of 90 and now his widow Lady Anne Dodd – whom he had been in a relationship with for 30 years before secretly marrying her just 48 hours before his death – has revealed that she keeps a portrait of him hanging on the wall and that she believes that he is the reason a door in her home closes of its own accord.
She is quoted by The Daily Star newspaper as saying: “I always say ‘goodnight’ to the picture. The weirdest thing is a door…every so often it closes, and we have all heard it. You think ‘For goodness’ sake, it’s just air (or) someone has opened another door’, but it’s not…he’s around!”
Anne also admitted that she still dreams about her late husband, and begs him not to go away before she wakes up.
She said: “Often I dream about him, but it’s so real I say ‘Please don’t go away!”
Anne recently admitted that she broke a promise to Ken, in that he had begged her to “burn everything” after he had gone and she found it “easier” to agree but knew she would never be able to bring herself to do so.
Speaking on ‘BBC Breakfast’, she said: ” The latter years of his life, he did say, ‘You will burn everything when I’m gone’ and I promised.
“It was easier to agree, you can’t say, ‘No I won’t, he might have to burn them himself’, he was a very private person. I never thought of burning them, I knew I wasn’t going to, I knew I couldn’t.
“Not because I thought they were valuable but I thought they were valuable because they were unique.”
